A Democratic State Of Unprecedented Model Essay
A legislative process where there is a lack of transparency and accountability creates a democratic
deficit. A democratic deficit (or democracy deficit) occurs when presumably democratic organisations
or institutions (particularly governing institute) fall short of fulfilling the principles of democracy in
their practices or operation where representative and linked parliamentary integrity becomes widely
discussed. As far as lack of democracy is concern at European Union, it was first cited by a by Young
European Federalists in their manifesto at that time. European Union was formed in order to create an
everlasting relation within in its state. It is worth remembering the EU is a supranational state of
unprecedented model. It is also worth remembering that EU initially was formed only to enhance
collaboration within few financial interests and democracy was not the goal it thrived for. This initial
goal has slightly been over shadowed by some critics of its undemocratic status. This issue has
somewhat cause the estrangement within the EU states. There have been calls for EU to involve its
citizen more and more into their decision making. Although considerable efforts are made throughout
its history but one might argue that EU could have done more in order to make it more transparent in
last half a century.
In order to unearth the truth behind the criticism an overview of the legislative institutes and their
processes will have to be studied. We will have to look at the

3 Social Roles
I would have to say that the three social roles that are the most important to me are a student, a sister,
and a friend. The role of being a student is important to me because I know that being a hardworking
and dedicated student will help me out in the future. While school can be difficult at times, I know that
in the end it will be worth it. To me having a good education is important and I know that not
everyone gets the same opportunity that I do, so I definitely try not to take it for granted. The role of
being a sister is important to me because I love my sibling so much and I always try my best to be
there for them. My siblings are like my best friends so I appreciate and enjoy the relationship that we
have. The role of being a friend

The Accomplishment Of One s Goal
Success is something people want but don t know how to achieve.Success is the accomplishment of
one s goal. Certain habits however need to be developed in life that help insure success. Many of the
three stated as habits to be successful in life are resilience, self motivation and setting goals. In order
to be successful the habits that can be encounter are resilience which turn your greatness into success
after a difficult experience, which we need to be self motivated which helps to embrace the pain that
can be a part of the success and allows us to set goals for ourself. Resilience is the key to success that
enables people to move through hardship and become better. No one escapes pain, fear and suffering.
Yet from pain can come wisdom, from fear can come courage, from suffering can come strength. A lot
of people misunderstand It s not about bouncing back. Resilient people do not bounce back from
hardship. We cannot bounce back because we cannot go back in time. You will not be the same person
after having an difficult situtation. Resilient people are able to integrate hard experiences into their
lives in a way that makes them better.Don t fear failure. Instead redefine it as feedback and as a natural
part of a successful life. As Michael Jordan said: I ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I ve
lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I ve
failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I

There are lots of risk of entering a foreign market. And we can assess the risk by :
Checking the basics needs in the foreign market :
Whenever any business jump into the international market, first know what is the basic needs of
customers as well as our product demand in the market. Also should measure the competition level in
the market .
e.g ALL BALACKS KIWI LTD plans its business in India, than they will check the basic needs of
fruits market as well as exotic .They will analysis the product demand in the market with the
competition level.

Marketing opportunities arise when customer group with different wants and needs are recognized.
Market can be segmented by age, gender, location, geography and demography. For market segment
must be large enough to provide and profitable customer base. To explain all the segment I am giving
the examples for them.
Geographical factors In Mumbai, India , Large size car may not be popular because of the parking
problem as well as heavy traffic in the city due to huge population..And also the other reason that
Mumbai is the metro city so people are time conscious and believe in public transport and metro train

Hr Theories of Motivation
1. Introduction
The companies leaders can improve their business by investing in development new products or
services, improvement product or service quality, and enhancement marketing and sales. Another
possible investment is improving the way a company manages its people tends to receive less
attention. Human Resource Management is very important for business as it involves a variety of
activities that deal with the human side of organisation (Griffiths and Wall, 2005). Armstrong claims
(1999) that HRM can be regarded as... a strategic and cohered approach to the management of an
organization s most values assets the people working there who individually and collectively
contribute to the achievements to this goals (in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
McGregor believed that people want to learn and that work is their natural activity to the extent that
they develop self discipline and self development (Accel Team, 2008). They see their reward not so
much in cash payments as in the freedom to do difficult and challenging work by themselves (ibid).
The main job is to follow the human wish for self development into the organisations need for
maximum productive efficiency (ibid). The basic objectives of both are therefore met and with mind
and honesty, the enormous potential can be tapped.
NEED Theories
It is widely accepted that a good deal of motivation has its origins in certain basic needs. Need
theories particularly the works of Maslow, Alderfer and McClelland are based on the assumption that
basic wants or requirements govern much of people s behaviour. This notion has pervasive
implications for human resources policies and practices tend to develop the performance of a range of
human needs, the more likely it is that motivation and performance will be improved.
However, attention to needs must be balanced. To emphasize salary and benefits (in the fulfillment
basic needs) and to not expect high standards of performance (related to needs of esteem and, self
actualisation, and achievement) may be risky. On the other hand, to expect employees to increase to
performance and

Self Image In Siddhartha

with the inner self image and dispose of any concept of the outer world. Feel the energy that comes
from this image and start being true from source of this energy. The source of god. At the same time;
Siddhartha, who is the protagonist in Hermann Hesse s novel Siddhartha; is on a spiritual mission to
achieve the lofty goal of Nirvana. Born at the top of the social hierarchy, Siddhartha will travel down
into the lowest class to accomplish his aspiration. Several factors either become a hindrance or an ally
to Siddhartha s success. The usage of external guidance soon becomes a cessation to the life long
quest to Nirvana, whereas the habitude ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Siddhartha planned to overwhelm his senses, in which he plans to indulge in everything. Soon,
Siddhartha becomes rich; yet at times he heard within him a soft, gentle voice, which reminded him
quietly, complained quietly, so that he could hardly hear it (Hesse, 57). Despite vowing to listen to his
inner voice (a synonym for an inner guide), he finds himself ignoring it, and drifting back into the pain
and suffering in which he wanted to escape. He had begun to believe that the inner voice was dead,
and that he was the cause of it. After Siddhartha decided to listen to his inner voice, Siddhartha felt so
distressed, he realized ...that the game was finished, that he could play it no longer (Hesse, 68). The
result of Siddhartha s obliquity concerning the inner voice was the feelings of utter despair, so
powerful that he even considered committing suicide. He knew that the rich lifestyle and external
teacher was not compatible with him, and had left his home to wander the forests again. Though
Kamaswami taught Siddhartha many new skills, he was a failure at teaching Siddhartha how to
achieve Nirvana. Thus, Kamaswami became the equivalent of an impediment to the goal in the eyes of

How should DHL Bangladesh proceed with a decision on a human resource information system, given
the preferences of regional headquarters, the interests of sister subsidiaries, and the reservations of the
Bangladesh subsidiary?
Late in October 2001, Nurul Rahman, Special Assistant to Vice President Human Resources at DHL
Bangladesh (DHLB), contemplated his options regarding the adoption of a human resource
information system (HRIS) that the firm s regional headquarters (HQ) in Singapore had proposed. The

needed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A key priority for DHLB was employee recruitment at various levels. The bulk of this hiring was at
the entry level, where demands upon the HR department were the greatest.
Over the past three years, these HR responsibilities not only had increased greatly because of
employee hiring in various departments, but also focused on development of generalist skills in the
long term. There was also a sharp increase in the training and development of senior executives who
were sent abroad for skills enhancement workshops. Keeping track of these activities and ensuring a
structure in which employees could perform multiple tasks increased the demands on the HR
department significantly more than it had done at any other period in DHLB s history.
Perhaps the fastest growing HR function was the administration of compensation and benefits. Until
1998, employee benefits were decided on a company wide basis while salary increments were based
on recommendations of individual department managers. Over the last four years, this policy had
changed drastically. Now, all non salary benefits were being streamlined to DHL s standards for its
Asia Pacific region.
Likewise, salary increments were now being modelled on latest techniques and merit matrices were
being implemented across all levels of DHLB. The new

Essay Comparing The Parable Of The Old Man And The Young
There were similarities as well as differences found in the two works Abraham and Isaac and The
Parable of the Young and the Old . One similarity is the objects that Abram brought with him. In both
works, Abram is said to have brought fire and knife with him. Also, in both works, Isaac asks the same
question. As they arrive near the sacrificial place, Isaac asks where the lamb for the sacrifice is. In
both works, Abram bounds his son and is about to slay him when an angel speaks out. Finally, in both
stories, a ram is offered from the angel instead of Isaac. However, there are several key differences
that separate these two seemingly similar works.
The most major difference is the connotation of The Parable of the Old Man and the Young . The
entire story is a metaphor for war, as can be seen in many lines. ... Show more content on

The belts and straps that Abram used, as well as parapets and trenches, were used in World War I. The
angel calling out to Abram was not an actual angel, but that of the population s plea for peace. The
angel offered the Ram of Pride, which represented pure nationalism and pride in one s country. When
Abram killed his son, he ended up killing half the seed of Europe, and perhaps half the seed of Europe
was killed in World War I. After all, if someone is killed, their descendants will never be able to live.
Even looking just at the literal meaning, there are several key differences. In Abraham and Isaac, God
is shown tempting Abraham and telling him to go to Moriah and offer Isaac as a sacrifice. However, in
The Parable of the Old Man and the Young , the setting starts with Abram and Isaac on their journey.

Why Did Ancient Astronomers Study
Star Spotters by David Jefferis 8 202
Question: How did ancient astronomers study the sky?
Answer: These people used their eyes to look at the stars, moon, and sun. They also used an astrolabe
which could pinpoint and predict the moon, stars, planets, and sun s location. This information helped
them know when to plant their crops.
Question: What positive things does the sun do for us?
Answer: Life on Earth wouldn t be possible without the sun. It gives us light and warmth. Also, by
studying the sun, we can predict weather forecasts. These aided farmers in knowing when they should
plant and harvest their crops. The sun s energy also helps power many electrical appliances on Earth
and in space.

Tricky Names: Cognition Time When Ignoring Incongruent Labels Kinnery Desai University of
Massachusetts Amherst Abstract The brain s recognition of objects and labels is instantaneous because
of which incongruent stimuli greatly interfere in the brain s ability to correctly label objects. The goal
of our research was to examine the effects of incongruent labels on response time, illustrated through
the Stroop test. The Stroop test is a well known visual processing test created to determine how the
cognitive process can be inhibited by what is seen and interpreted visually. Our specific Stroop task
approached the interference between shapes and words, rather than colors and words. Participants

and pig in a random order. There were five rows of four animals, with a total of 40 silhouettes. One
sheet had silhouettes marked without any labels (control condition), while the other had incongruent
labels (incongruent condition), which served to create the two conditions. The stopwatch was used to

Personal Perception of Organized Crime
Personal Perception of Organized Crime In answering this question of what Angie s personal
perception of organized crime, it takes me back to the days of organized groups that united for
financial gain, control over business, law enforcement, the public and anyone or anything that they
could rule. Organized crime brings about change in a community, hurt, danger, and sometimes death.
When thinking of organized crime it takes us back to the days of the Mafia. The days of Al Capone
comes to mind more then any other organized criminal. This gave a perception as to what organized
crime consists of and this is how viewed. The alien conspiracy theory posits that organized crime (the

A more specific criminological definition would refer to groups that (1) utilize violence or threats of
violence, (2) provide illicit goods that are in public demand, and (3) assure immunity for their
operators through corruption and enforcement. (Hagan, 2010: 300)
Conclusion
Thus, the organized criminal activity becomes transnational if it is connected to illegal operations on
moving material and non material means through frontiers, which bring an essential economic gain.
The transnational organized crime uses the favorable market conditions of other states, significant
distinctions in systems of criminal justice of the different countries, and penetration into their legal
economy with the help of corruption and violence (Zorin, 2009). In researching on this issue, the
conclusion that has arrived is as long as we live, we will always have organized crime. However, if we
do not participate in these acts it ill not prosper.

Beethoven Concert Symphony No 6
BEETHOVEN CONCERTS
The Pastorale Symphony and the Emperor Piano Concerto, one named by Ludwig van Beethoven and
the other by a friend, are splendid examples of Beethoven s musical acumen. These pieces are more
formally known as Beethoven s Symphony No. 6 and Piano Concerto No. 5. This concert report will

performed by the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, and was conducted by Paavo Jarvi during

The five movements of Beethoven s Symphony No. 6 Pastorale draw listeners in with a quick, but
leisurely tempo and rich developed movements. The symphony seemingly flows and fits the titles
beautifully. It is easy to paint a picture of a noble countryside, nature, and all the activities it entails.
Beethoven s Piano Concerto No.5 Emperor is a three part traditional concerto, an Allegro, Adagio, and
the Rondo. This concerto was named Emperor because of the powerful themes and heroic note of the
composition (www.all about beethoven.com/concerto5.html).
The opening of the concerto brings a main theme introduced by a solo piano with the full orchestra
providing a dramatic presence of several chords. The piano flourishes grow in length until reaching a
cadenza after the third time. The full orchestra joins in and carries the theme into the full exposition.
The theme is bold with a pleasant interjection of a second subject that seems to tiptoe through the
movement. The orchestra stays in the tonic key as the piano modulates and reaches a wide variety of
tones as the scales are worked. The development of the movement effectively flips the lead. The
orchestra now leads and the piano accompanies. The main theme rhythm is reinforced by a powerful
bassoon. The coda is lead by horns and joined by the rest of the orchestra to a thrilling close.
The second movement is a slow movement and begins quietly

Comparative Rhetorical Analysis Of Andy Stern
Comparative Rhetorical Analysis
Everyone views things a little differently, therefore different writers have different perspectives about
different subject matter. For example, while Andy Stern s stance is that technology will one day take
over the jobs of the working class Dean Baker thinks it has nothing to do with the rise in technology at
all and more to do with generating demand through government deficits. The way Stern successfully
incorporates ethos, pathos, and logos in his piece of writing is more appropriate and effective in
accomplishing rhetorical purpose than Baker s writing.
Ethos is basically the authors credibility, the reader must decide if the author of the writing is
trustworthy and believable. Pathos is how to author appeals

Analysis Of The Movie Temple Grandin
During class, the teacher showed us two movies during the course of the semester revealing the lives
of two important people and their significance of their actions.. The first movie was Temple Grandin ,
which told a story of a young woman who suffered repeated setbacks from her autism throughout the
entirety of her life. Mostly, ridiculed by her peers and even in her male dominated profession, Animal
Agriculture. Grandin remain persistent in achieving her goals and eventually overcame her
oppositions one by one. Similarly, Invictus follows the familiar theme of rising against adversary with
Nelson Mandela sworn into office after the disintegration of the South Africa s apartheid, the nation
suffers low morale and division among each other. The Springboks, the national rugby team suffers
criticism among the African, due to the colors representing the history of apartheid. Mandela
embraced the Rugby team and encourage them to win the 1995 World Cup in order to unify the entire
nation, with support of the president and the South African people the team eventually won the Cup
and achieve unification. Overall, I believe Temple Grandin delivered the better picture than Invictus
due to the use of flashbacks at moments to illustrate the story, accuracy in depicting the character, and
suspense at certain parts of the film enhance my perspective.
First, the use of flashbacks in Temple Grandin helped create a level of atmosphere dealing with the

Pride In Desiree s Baby By Kate Chopin
Armand Aubigny s Pride in Desiree s Baby by Kate Chopin
Through history, we have always yearned independence and equality as human beings. Undoubtedly,
Kate Chopin is an extraordinary example She has landed a commendable place among American
writers worthy of recognition. Born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1850, Kate was raised by strong women
who taught her the value of an education. Her family gave her a revolutionary vision and a feminist
personality, but it was her talented and passionate skills in writing who gave her an individual voice.
During her personal life, Mrs. Chopin built a family of her own, but [she] became a widow at age
thirty two, with the responsibility of raising six children. She never remarried (Koloski). Ten years
after her husband s death, Kate wrote a short story named Desiree s Baby. A few years passed, and
Chopin s short story was finally published in Vogue among others. Its strong message about
controversial issues such as racism and discrimination of females earned her acclamatory fame and
acknowledgment. By the time of her death, Kate Chopin had already written about a hundred short
stories and two novels. At the age of fifty four, she passed away in her native St. Louis leaving her
legacy to be studied and awarded for the rest of the world (Koloski). Until this day, Desiree s Baby is

When working with fins on a rocket they are there to not only help the rocket balance but also to

Macrophages main function to eliminate injurious agents and initiate the process of repair, but are also
responsible for much of the tissue injury in chronic inflammation. Macrophages eventually either die

to the development and persistence of chronic inflammation, by secreting verity of inflammatory

Management is the process of achieving organisational goals through the four functions of

The Ford Motor Company is a global automotive industry. It manufactures and distributes vehicles
across the world. The Firm also owns other automobile brands which include Volvo and Astin Martin
(Ford, 2008: 1). Ford is currently the fourth largest automaker in the world based on number of
vehicles sold annually and is now a market leader in innovation and technology (Ford, 2010). One of
the management challenges that Ford Motor faces is it must be prepared to address the fierce
competition from other companies within and outside the country.
In order to compete, the company must be ahead on cost, quality and service. Also Ford has to
constantly innovate through research and development to create new products. This strategy has
enabled the organisation to achieve its effective goal of survival and profitability by allowing it to
compete not only on the price but also design and quality. This receives academic support from Stoner

Sexism In Visual Arts
I selected Penn State University specifically for their dual degree program in women s studies. My
interest is researching visual culture and imagery of Black female artists expressed in diverse
societies; in everyday life, in art education, and from feminist perspectives. These areas reflect my
general interest both as an artist, educator, and researcher. I have first hand experiences of being
marginalized based one s race and gender, and being stereotyped based on the imagery of black
women in the media.

The Dynamic Gastric Model ( Dgm )
The dynamic gastric model (DGM) was invented and designed by Dr. Martin Wickham and Dr.
Richard Faulks from the United Kingdom. Even though the model is only half the size of the human
digestive system, it can be used to investigate the effects of diet, drugs, alcohol and other factors on
digestion. The figure is made of plastic and metal and is composed in two parts. The upper section is a
funnel and a cylinder shaped container where food, enzyme, and gastric acid are mixed. After the
hydration reaction, the mixture is transported down a metal tube to get crushed and is later stored in a
transparent container to test the level of fat, protein or bacteria. Based on the various functions of the
model, technology replaces human body and is ethically friendlier. Hence DGM well illustrates the
digestive system, which brings a great contribution to development in science.
The major limitation that differs dynamic gastric model from real organism is the inability to process
active transportation. Without transport channel, molecules could not flow against the gradient.
Consequently, the model fails to mimic the property of parietal cells, which the hydrochloric acid is
secreted by active transport into the stomach of hydrogen ion against a concentration gradient of about
1 million to 1. Thus, the limitation of the model does show the detail and uniqueness of a living
organism.
On the other hand, dynamic gastric model mimics real organism from dialysis tubing, uneven mixing,

both physical exchanges and decision making. TobyMac s deep implication in his music video Lose
My Soul shines a light on Blu s slightly different motive and thoughts in Blu Collar Worker . These
motives are based on the notion that the soul is ultimately greater in value than any form of currency.

purchase a handgun. They all exit, and the one with the gun walks back in. He heads straight for the

we are unsure about what exactly both the man with the laptop and gun did after leaving. We can only
speculate, but it is clear that the man with the gun had a change of heart and chose to keep his soul.
During this moment, we hear ...forgive us when we get consumed by the things of the world. The man

My Family s Influence On My Life
The word community maintains an assortment of meanings for each of us. These meanings are
composed from various life experiences within our communities. To me, my communities include my
family, friends, schools, work, and the town I live in. My communities have had an influence on who I
have become as a person and continue to influence me on a daily basis. As I reflect back on the past
twenty years, the community that has had the most impact on me is my family. Now, everyone has
their own definition of family. So, when I say the word family, I am referring to my mom and dad.
These two people have had the most influence on my life. From the very beginning, I began to shape
the person I am based on the people my parents are. I can remember spending many hours with my
dad in his shop, watching him diagnose mechanical problems. Then I would watch as he took apart a
machine piece by piece, only to reassemble it exactly the same way once the problem at hand was
resolved. As the years progressed, I became closer with my mom, spending the majority of my time
with her. I would help her around the house with everyday chores. I can remember the joy I
experienced when I was able to go to work with mom. I would watch in awe at the number of tasks
my mother was responsible for at one time. How she would swiftly move from one task to another,
handling the many interruptions, and balancing the numerous new tasks placed on her desk each day.

Research Paper Issues in the Ballet World
The world of ballet is generally seen as the art of stick thin, white, high class girls dressed in pointe
shoes, glamorous tutus, and tiaras, dancing with their prince in the spotlight. Considering the history
of ballet, it is not surprising that it has gained this reputation. The term ballet blanc originates from the
excessive use of white in many professional ballets. As glamorous as it is, ballet has been considered
racist since many non white dancers do not seem to fit the body type standards created by George
Balanchine. This ideal body type describes what is perceived to be the perfect ballet body. In recent
years, the issues of ballet s lack of diversity and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Even now, ballets are considered an art form that only the decently wealthy can ever enjoy. With all
the sparkling diamonds and jewels, pointe shoes, glamorous makeup, extravagant theaters, and
costumes, it is not surprising that wealth is also commonly associated with ballet. The high ticket
prices serve as the main reason why very few people other than the rich are exposed to the art, thus
discouraging people of a lower economic status to ever experience it. For instance, to see something
as iconic as the Nutcracker, one ticket could start around $100 $150. In order to take classes, get the
proper attire, buy costumes, and makeup, it could cost families quite a lot of money, even in a small
local company. Bigger companies, such as the New York City Ballet have classes that start at about
$100 a class, and since many professional/semi professional dancers are required to take a class every
day of the week, it would be roughly $700 for a week, if that dancer only takes one class a day. This
high rate for classes limits how many people are able to partake in ballet, but even if someone with a
diverse background is able to pay this price, they might still be turned away from companies and
productions since some companies do not accept minorities. It is not the fact that there are fewer
minorities in the US that could contribute to the lack of color in ballet, in fact, it is the complete
opposite. The race demographics of the US from the 1980 s to around 2010 show that there has been a
5.07% increase of people of Spanish descent, a 1.08% increase of African Americans, and a constant
increase of people who are of Asian descent. Even with these increases in numbers, most companies
have not become more diverse, but while some companies have evolved, not many have changed

Us Involvement In The Vietnam War Essay
The Vietnam war was a civil war between Northern and Southern Vietnam. The two halves of Vietnam
were separated because of disagreements in governmental policies. American troops involved
themselves in the Vietnam war because they wanted to protect Vietnam from becoming a communist

Compare And Contrast Sonnet 60 And 64
Sonnets 60 and 64 are about the effects of time. This is a recurrent theme in Shakespeare s poems.
Through the use of imagery, Shakespeare provides relatable experiences to describe the passage of
time. Sonnet 60 provides three examples of the passage of time the first is waves moving towards a
shore, the second is a child growing to maturity, and the third is time s effects on the beauty of youth.
Sonnet 64 provides three of Shakespeare s personal experiences the first is time s effects on towers
and brass, the second is the ocean and a shore, the third is the change of condition of things. Both
sonnets have similarities and differences in themes, structure, and speech acts.
Sonnets 60 and 64 have a similar theme of Time destroying things and eventually taking his love

The Three Jewels Of Buddhism
Puja, which means offering in Sanskrit and worship in Pali, is one of the principle ceremonies in
Buddhism. It can be conducted either at home or a Buddhist temple and has no specific time or rules.
Puja integrates the principle beliefs of Buddhism which are the three Jewels, Four Noble Truths,
marks of existence and karma, samsara, nirvana through the elements of bowing, offering, chanting
and meditation. It is with these elements that the principle beliefs of Buddhism are demonstrated.
The three Jewels are an intrinsic part of Buddhism. It includes the Buddha who founded Buddhism,
Dhamma which is the teachings of the Buddha and the Sangha which is the community of monks and
nuns. This belief is demonstrated through bowing. Buddhists during Puja bow three times in front of
the statue of the Buddha. This symbolises the three Jewels in Buddhism. An example of this is Tibetan
Buddhists laying their whole body on the floor when bowing. This shows modesty, devotion and
commitment to the three jewels. Without the element of bowing the three Jewels would not be
acknowledged in the Puja. Since the three Jewels are the foundation of Buddhist beliefs, bowing is an
integral part of Puja. Moreover, Puja can be seen as disrespectful if it is not recognising the teacher,
teachings and the community that founded Buddhism. Hence, bowing is a vital part of Puja as it
acknowledges the three Jewels.

Film Production And Production Major Essay
Imagine hearing your alarm clock start to buzz and you turn to look at the clock, the time reads 4am.
You get up, have a quick breakfast, and get dressed for work. By the time you end up back at home it
is around 11pm 12am and you are exhausted but have to do the same thing over in the morning. This
lifestyle is quite normal for people working in film production and this schedule is typical to last over
a three month period. Although film production is an exhausting profession it can be very rewarding in
itself. Film is an art form and producers make a generous living on the wages if done correctly.
Missouri State is home to an excelling Film and Production major by the name of Thomas
Romainville. He has been in the program here since the beginning of the fall 2016 semester and has
had an abundance of success thus far. Thomas is from Belgium and came to the United States in 2011
as an exchange student. His main goal for studying away was to better his English and go back to
Belgium to start working on a career. Although he did not know what that career might be, being
bilingual in French and English would expand his career options exponentially. He did however have
a passion for movies and film early on in life. He owned a small camera when he was young and
would make small videos, short documentaries, and practice editing during his time in Belgium. After
his pilgrimage to the United States he became involved in school and met two of his now best friends.

The Importance Of Power In A Tale Of Two Cities
The poet Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792 1822) explains the effects of power on society in his quote,
Power, like a desolating pestilence, Pollutes whate er it touches . Shelley compares power to a disease,
almost like a plague that can eradicate an entire town. In whom this power is bestowed upon will
desecrate the entire society around them. On the contrary, this quote is challenged as well as defended
in the novel, A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens. Characters such as both Monseigneurs St.
Evremonds and Madame Defarge embody strong aristocratic or noble roles that have radicalized
France. As well as this, they have engendered great deaths and hatred from people in the third estates
due to their unjustified actions. However, people like Charles Darnay are great rebuttals to Shelley s
argument, because even though he is an aristocrat of France, he actually gives up his own power. He

murder of a Virginia City man, as well as the kidnapping and armed robbery of the victim.
Investigators found out that on the 16th of Aug 1996, Atkins, and his partner named William Jones
kidnapped Eric Nesbitt from his place of residence, armed with a semiautomatic handgun. Atkins and
William both of these suspect proceeded to rob him for all of the cash he had on him at the time and
asked him for more cash and ended up withdrawing additional cash from a nearby ATM with Nesbitt s
card. From there, Atkins and William brought the victim to a nearby location and shot him eight times
including on his head and face, and killed him.
Both Atkins and William s statement were similar, that is why it did not took investigator that long to

VIRGINIA my reaction to that decision was not shocked, because Clinical definitions of mental
retardation require not only sub average intellectual functioning, but also significant limitations in

Kent M.Keith once wrote , People really need help but may attack you if you do help them.Help
people anyway.Give the world the best you have and you ll get kicked in the teeth.Give the world the
best you have anyway. While analyzing this quote further, I have found that in any bad situation there
still is room for improvement by implementing a sense of kindness and compassion for the situation at
hand.
For example, I work at a home improvement store called The Home Depot. In Home Depot you are
sure to find a good day and a bad day. Customers come to The Home Depot looking for an item as
well as good customer service. As being a cashier, my first priority is to make sure that every customer
is properly taken care of on their way into the building and when you re leaving out the building. If the
customer doesn t feel like they re being taken care of it can get very disappointing very quickly. While
at work I try and stay as positive as I can so that each

  • 2. A Democratic State Of Unprecedented Model Essay A legislative process where there is a lack of transparency and accountability creates a democratic deficit. A democratic deficit (or democracy deficit) occurs when presumably democratic organisations or institutions (particularly governing institute) fall short of fulfilling the principles of democracy in their practices or operation where representative and linked parliamentary integrity becomes widely discussed. The role of being a student is important to me because I know that being a hardworking and dedicated student will help me out in the future. While school can be difficult at times, I know that in the end it will be worth it. To me having a good education is important and I know that not everyone gets the same opportunity that I do, so I definitely try not to take it for granted. The role of being a sister is important to me because I love my sibling so much and I always try my best to be there for them. Beethoven s Piano Concerto No.5 Emperor is a three part traditional concerto, an Allegro, Adagio, and the Rondo. • 28. The Dynamic Gastric Model ( Dgm ) The dynamic gastric model (DGM) was invented and designed by Dr. Martin Wickham and Dr. Richard Faulks from the United Kingdom. Even though the model is only half the size of the human digestive system, it can be used to investigate the effects of diet, drugs, alcohol and other factors on digestion. The figure is made of plastic and metal and is composed in two parts. The upper section is a funnel and a cylinder shaped container where food, enzyme, and gastric acid are mixed. After the hydration reaction, the mixture is transported down a metal tube to get crushed and is later stored in a transparent container to test the level of fat, protein or bacteria. Based on the various functions of the model, technology replaces human body and is ethically friendlier. Hence DGM well illustrates the digestive system, which brings a great contribution to development in science. The major limitation that differs dynamic gastric model from real organism is the inability to process active transportation. Without transport channel, molecules could not flow against the gradient. Consequently, the model fails to mimic the property of parietal cells, which the hydrochloric acid is secreted by active transport into the stomach of hydrogen ion against a concentration gradient of about 1 million to 1. Thus, the limitation of the model does show the detail and uniqueness of a living organism. On the other hand, dynamic gastric model mimics real organism from dialysis tubing, uneven mixing, ... TobyMac s deep implication in his music video Lose My Soul shines a light on Blu s slightly different motive and thoughts in Blu Collar Worker . They all exit, and the one with the gun walks back in. He heads straight for the cashier to draw his gun, but only to set it down to return to the shop. The situation is very inexplicit, as we are unsure about what exactly both the man with the laptop and gun did after leaving. We can only speculate, but it is clear that the man with the gun had a change of heart and chose to keep his soul. During this moment, we hear ...forgive us when we get consumed by the things of the world. The man was consumed by his neediness of those material things briefly. To me, my communities include my family, friends, schools, work, and the town I live in. My communities have had an influence on who I have become as a person and continue to influence me on a daily basis. As I reflect back on the past twenty years, the community that has had the most impact on me is my family. Now, everyone has their own definition of family. So, when I say the word family, I am referring to my mom and dad. These two people have had the most influence on my life. From the very beginning, I began to shape the person I am based on the people my parents are. I can remember spending many hours with my dad in his shop, watching him diagnose mechanical problems. Then I would watch as he took apart a machine piece by piece, only to reassemble it exactly the same way once the problem at hand was resolved. As the years progressed, I became closer with my mom, spending the majority of my time with her. I would help her around the house with everyday chores. I can remember the joy I experienced when I was able to go to work with mom. I would watch in awe at the number of tasks my mother was responsible for at one time. How she would swiftly move from one task to another, handling the many interruptions, and balancing the numerous new tasks placed on her desk each day. Spending much of my time with ... Issues In The Ballet World Jonina Yang Dr. Houser Research Paper Issues in the Ballet World The world of ballet is generally seen as the art of stick thin, white, high class girls dressed in pointe shoes, glamorous tutus, and tiaras, dancing with their prince in the spotlight. Considering the history of ballet, it is not surprising that it has gained this reputation. The term ballet blanc originates from the excessive use of white in many professional ballets. As glamorous as it is, ballet has been considered racist since many non white dancers do not seem to fit the body type standards created by George Balanchine. This ideal body type describes what is perceived to be the perfect ballet body. In recent years, the issues of ballet s lack of diversity and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Even now, ballets are considered an art form that only the decently wealthy can ever enjoy. With all the sparkling diamonds and jewels, pointe shoes, glamorous makeup, extravagant theaters, and costumes, it is not surprising that wealth is also commonly associated with ballet. The high ticket prices serve as the main reason why very few people other than the rich are exposed to the art, thus discouraging people of a lower economic status to ever experience it. For instance, to see something as iconic as the Nutcracker, one ticket could start around $100 $150. In order to take classes, get the proper attire, buy costumes, and makeup, it could cost families quite a lot of money, even in a small local company. Bigger companies, such as the New York City Ballet have classes that start at about $100 a class, and since many professional/semi professional dancers are required to take a class every day of the week, it would be roughly $700 for a week, if that dancer only takes one class a day. This high rate for classes limits how many people are able to partake in ballet, but even if someone with a diverse background is able to pay this price, they might still be turned away from companies and productions since some companies do not accept minorities. It is not the fact that there are fewer minorities in the US that could contribute to the lack of color in ballet, in fact, it is the complete opposite. The race demographics of the US from the 1980 s to around 2010 show that there has been a 5.07% increase of people of Spanish descent, a 1.08% increase of African Americans, and a constant increase of people who are of Asian descent. It can be conducted either at home or a Buddhist temple and has no specific time or rules. Puja integrates the principle beliefs of Buddhism which are the three Jewels, Four Noble Truths, marks of existence and karma, samsara, nirvana through the elements of bowing, offering, chanting and meditation. It is with these elements that the principle beliefs of Buddhism are demonstrated. The three Jewels are an intrinsic part of Buddhism. It includes the Buddha who founded Buddhism, Dhamma which is the teachings of the Buddha and the Sangha which is the community of monks and nuns. This belief is demonstrated through bowing. Buddhists during Puja bow three times in front of the statue of the Buddha. This symbolises the three Jewels in Buddhism. An example of this is Tibetan Buddhists laying their whole body on the floor when bowing. This shows modesty, devotion and commitment to the three jewels. Without the element of bowing the three Jewels would not be acknowledged in the Puja. Since the three Jewels are the foundation of Buddhist beliefs, bowing is an integral part of Puja. Moreover, Puja can be seen as disrespectful if it is not recognising the teacher, teachings and the community that founded Buddhism. Shelley compares power to a disease, almost like a plague that can eradicate an entire town. In whom this power is bestowed upon will desecrate the entire society around them. Characters such as both Monseigneurs St. Evremonds and Madame Defarge embody strong aristocratic or noble roles that have radicalized France. As well as this, they have engendered great deaths and hatred from people in the third estates due to their unjustified actions.
