The Enigma of Capital and the Crisis of Capitalism is a forum for author David Harvey to voice his
concerns on the contemporary global capitalist model. As a Marxist geographer and anthropologist,
Harvey analyzes modern capitalism through a lens of skepticism that results in a scathing renunciation

A person cannot truly comprehend a situation if they have never experienced it first hand. Writers,
however, can use their words to help paint a picture of said situations for those that wish to further
understand them. One example of such, is Wilfred Owen s Dulce et Decorum Est. Owen wrote this
poem to inform the public of the horrors of battle, specifically in World War I. He desperately tried to
warn civilians of the truths of combat and why it doesn t always feel honorable to die for your country.
When analyzed further, Owen is also warning his fellow citizens not to believe everything the
government tells them. In the first stanza, Owen describes a regiment marching through sludge,

There are many aspects of life that are confusing and difficult to understand. In a human being s life, a
metaphor can bring a topic or idea into a new light and make it more understandable. In this particular
article, the author is using Sigmund Freud s theory of psychosexual stages as a metaphor for a
counselor s development with their clients. The five psychosexual stages are first outlined from the
generic standpoint of Freud s theories. The article then continues to directly compare each stage with

The Black Scholes Merton (BSM) model is the best known model for valuing options as it is the
original of many option pricing models today (Haug and Taleb, 2009; Le, 2015). Developed in 1973
by Fisher Black, Myron Scholes and Robert Merton, the BSM model is still widely used today as the
benchmark for many models and techniques that financial analysts use to analyse and determine the
fair prices of given options (Jumarie, 2010). It is widely used due to its simplicity however there are
many criticisms regarding the assumptions made by the model (Bharath and Sumway, 2008; Haug and
Taleb, 2009; Le, 2015)
The BSM model is used to determine fair prices of European options only following a formula (as
shown below) with the first basic assumption that the underlying commodity, stock, or option pay zero
dividend to its shareholders group being purchased during the option life (CFA, 2015).
In order to set the option pricing model, other basic assumptions have been used such as the market is
efficient and frictionless which means that people cannot predict with consistency the direction of
stocks in the financial market; no tax or transaction costs occur and there are no legal restrictions on
trading in the options and in the underlying asset, or on short selling the asset (Data and Mathews,

Fruit volume, Physiological weight in loss of Kesar mango gradually increase till the end of shelf life
and exhibited inversely proportional relationship with specific gravity of fruit while the maximum
physiological loss in weight in immature fruits with sp.gr. less than 1.00 as compared sp.gr. more than
l.00. Whereas, maximum organoleptic evaluation reported in sp.gr. more than 1.02. Dip treatment of
harvested fruits in bavistin 500 ppm for 5 min. had been found to be useful for enhancing the flavour
and consumer acceptability. Beneficial effect on minimizing physiological weight loss, maximum fruit
volume and firmness in wax coating (6%) followed by bavistin 500 ppm for 5 min. Delay in PLW,
maximum fruit volume and firmness with lower organoleptic score were registered at 150C of storage
temperature with 85% RH.

For more than ten years, I have worked in various education settings including a secondary
school/academy, Local Authority (LMS team) and recently within the FE sector. I have substantial
experience of managing staff and managed various teams including finance, administrators, reception

persuasive appeals: pathos, logos, and ethos. These three devices coupled with other rhetorical devices
