from the disadvantage of the Local Binary Pattern (LBP), Local Ternary Pattern (LTP) and Robust
LBP (RLBP).The LBP system and the RLBP system are mapped in the same block .The proposed
feature indentifies the problem of discrimination between a bright object against dark background and
vice versa. The proposed feature also retains contrast information for object contours the LBP, LTP
and RLBP discards. By the proposed features the objects is further analyzed for the accurate position

Introduction
Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) is one of the many public health problems that currently affects
people around the world, across the country and within our own communities. Sexual abuse, physical
abuse as well as the psychological abuse are some examples of violence experienced by individuals in
some relationships, which are the results of the violence perpetrated by either the current or the former
partner. Although intimate partner violence is a very serious problem, it can be preventable. IPV does
not discriminate as it occurs among married couples, those engaged or that are in any other type of
intimate relationship. Both genders can, therefore, be victims or perpetrators of intimate partner
violence. This paper seeks to address the various forms of violence with regards to intimate partner
violence and with particular consideration of same sex relationship.

Intimate partner violence occurs among partners who are in a relationship. Such partners can either be
married, engaged, and or dating and in either heterosexual or same sex relationships. Both, male and
females, can either be the victim or the perpetrator of such horrific episodes of violence against their
partner. Women, for instance, are very aggressive and violent in self defense while men, on the other
hand, are most likely to engage in cycles of abuses and thus the notion that they are more violent and

Introduction As our world grows and the population grows, more and more people find themselves
living in disaster prone areas. The vulnerability of these peoples is often due to their lack of
knowledge about the potential risks in the area. As these settlements become larger, the more
imbedded into the surrounding area it becomes. In this paper we will look at the communities that
surround the Tungurahua volcano in Ecuador. Specifically, evaluating how the emergency
management system operates and functions to provide support to these vulnerable communities.
Volcanic eruptions typically cause an immediate chaotic response and a sound emergency
management system is critical during this type of disaster. In the case of the Tungurahua volcano it has
been active for many years, sometimes only producing minor pyroclastic flows, but is has been known
to erupt violently. This presents a unique environment, in which, the emergency services and
surrounding communities have become accustom to. A unique aspect of communities that live in the
shadow of the Tungurahua volcano is the resilience they have to thrive under impending disaster. Most
