The linkage of serotonin to depression has been known for the past five years. From

synapse, antidepressants function at the synapse to enhance serotonin activity.

transmitter or broken down into its metabolic by products and transported out of the
brain. As a result, antidepressants work to increase serotonin levels at the synapse by

lower extremity weakness, neuropathy, weight loss, acute renal failure, and gout, as

in the feet. He also had diabetes mellitus type 2, chronic kidney disease, and
hypertension. It was noted that the claimant was totally disabled from 05/30/2017

A progress note from Dr. Chweyah, dated 06/26/2017, indicated that the claimant
presented for follow up of gout, muscle weakness, and weight loss. He had
ongoing weakness of the legs with knee pain. He stated that her weight drop had
stopped. His current weight was 210 pounds. Objective findings showed a pulse
rate of 105 with a blood pressure of 92/60. His BMI was 28.56. He was diagnosed
with an acute pain in both knees, muscle weakness in the legs, chronic gout, and
weight loss. A referral to neurology and medications were recommended.... Show
Chweyah, dated 08/11/2017, indicated that the claimant presented for a follow up
visit after his discharge from the hospital on 08/08/2017. He was admitted on 08/04
/2017 due to normocytic anemia, pain in both knees, starvation ketoacidosis,
hypertension, gout with tophus, and duodenitis. The esophagogastroduodenoscopy
revealed erythematous duodenopathy, erythematous mucosa in the antrum, and small
hiatal hernia. He had a colonoscopy which revealed internal hemorrhoids. Objective
findings showed blood pressure of 112/86 with a pulse of 105. He was diagnosed
with quadriceps weakness, pain in both knees, normocytic anemia, type 2 diabetes
mellitus, hypertension, stable chronic kidney disease stage III, and bilateral impacted
cerumen. It was noted that he can return to work on 08/16/2017 with limitations of
not standing for more than 10 minutes at a time for 1
