Question 5
1.
2. We mainly tried to address our
audience based on the feedback we
were given with our questionnaire. I
think in our film we did reach our
target audience of 15-35ish of middle
class. We took into consideration
everything that was said on our
feedback even though the males
responded to be more interested we
aimed it both at males and females.
The questionnaire helped us to be able
to plan our target audience. We tried
to reach our target audience in our film
by choosing the right people to be in it
for example because our target
audience is mainly younger people we
wanted younger actors to act in it.
3. One of the people who we asked
interviewed for the questionnaire
responded “possibly mid-late teens up
to mid thirties” this shows that we are
aiming the film at the right audience.
Also from our storyline most of the
interviewees said either that the genre
of our film is either “paranormal” or
“horror”. This shows that our film is
clear and priciest to what genre and
audience it fits into.
4. We showed our first 2minutes of the film
we had created to 4 different people. All of
these people thought that the genre was
successful as it was clearly represented at
the start of the clip as we used some music
to put over the background of the clip
which could be linked to the horror genre.
One of the people quoted “I think this
would be an interesting film to watch, I
would go watch it, I think it would be
successful” this shows that our film was
successful to our audience. When we asked
what was less successful one person replied
“the quality of the picture” this is because
we only used a basic camera to film on
therefore the quality wasn’t that good.
5. I think that the film could be more
clear for example with having a
flashback it was hard to show this to
our audience therefore we had to play
around with some effects to try and
make it look like one. Also I think that
we could improve on the number of
shots that were used to try and show
the audience more depth into the film.
