The document describes how the creator combined their film trailer and magazine cover through various design elements. Specifically:
1) The masthead features red and white text on black that matches the film's color scheme.
2) The cover photo depicts the film's protagonist with an omega symbol that is a focal point in the film.
3) The text "ultimate horror edition" incorporates the magazine's genre and promotion of the film.
4) A trailer quote is used as a strapline on the magazine to make it memorable and connect the products.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

Unit 8 - Information and Communication Technology (Paper I).pdfThiyagu K
This slides describes the basic concepts of ICT, basics of Email, Emerging Technology and Digital Initiatives in Education. This presentations aligns with the UGC Paper I syllabus.
1. The masthead I created
features block red and white
text on a black banner. The
font is bold and square and is
effective as it strands out from
other anchorage text in order
to grab the audiences
attention. Moreover, ‘film’ is
written in red and ‘focus’ is
written in white in an effective
way as it makes the masthead
more pleasing to the eye as it
isn’t too bright and
overpowering – yet is still able
to stand out on the page. In
combination with my main
product, the mast head is very
effective as it incorporates
colours that are used within
the film trailer for the
audience to make a connection
between the two.
A second way I have
combined both my final
media product and my
magazine cover is
through the photography.
The cover photo pictures
the protagonist character
looking scared and
directs focus to the
omega symbol scratched
into her hand. The
symbol is featured as a
focal point within the film
so draws comparisons
between both products. I
believe this is a strength
to both products as it
makes the key symbol a
prominent feature of
both and it apparent
between the two.
2. The next feature that
combines both media
products is the ‘ultimate
horror edition’ text.
‘ultimate and ‘edition’ are
written in bold black font in
order to make them stand
out but ‘horror’ is slashed
across is in red. This has
allowed me to combine the
two products as the
magazine is promoting a
horror edition and features
my horror film on the front
so establishes the genre.
The final way I have combined both products is through the
strapline ‘once the curse has got you there’s no escape. This is
featured under the anchorage text of the films name and is the
final line of the voiceover in the trailer. By featuring this quote
in both products I have combined the two products by making
the quote memorable for the audience and a sell line
The anchorage text I have
chosen to use combines
together both my final
media product and my
magazine because the
text type is the same.
The font I used is called
‘CG times’ and is bold
and white in order to
attract the audience. I
feel this is a strength of
my two final produces as
it creates a house style
among the final film
trailer and the film
magazine in order for the
viewer to see the
magazine cover and make
the connection with the
film.
3. The first key way in which I
have combined my film
poster with my final trailer
is through the photography.
The only image on the
poster is a black and white
one of the dead hand with
the omega symbol
scratched into it. I believe
putting the image in black
and white is strong point to
the poster as it makes it
stand out from the red font.
I darkened the bottom of it
and brightened the top
then made the symbol
darker. The use of a human
limb incorporates elements
of horror and makes the
image relatable to human
life as well as making the
audience feel
uncomfortable and uneasy
because of the negative
connotations.
Again, I have used
the same anchorage
text within all three
products in order to
establish a house
style among all. The
font is bold and
white in order to
contrast the black
behind and I believe
this is a strength as it
grabs the audiences
attention by standing
out. It combines the
three products
together and the
black with white font
is conventional
within the genre in
order to convey
horror.
4. The text I have used at the bottom is conventional to film posters
and the horror genre. It showcases the names of actors,
producers, directors and costume designers which can be
combined with my film trailer because of the actors within.
Audiences will make a connection with the names included on
the poster, the faces within the film and the cover photo on the
magazine in order to combine all three products to entice and
attract the target audience.
