1. How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary text?

2. My main product and ancillary text compliment each other in a variety of ways. Firstly the font for the main tittle is kept same throughout the whole promotional package. The children's building block font is very effective and unique and therefore able to grab audience attention. The font gives the whole package a sense of identity as people can recognize what film it is by the font used in the magazine and poster.

3. Secondly I have kept the colour of the poster and magazine to a maximum of three main shades. The colours I have chosen are red, black and white. This is because these colorus are associated mystery, blood and horror. Having the same shade of colours in the both magazine and poster will give the trailer a sense of identity as we can relate the colours to the main product. Red white black black white red

4. Also I have included the villain in my magazine cover as he is shown throughout the trailer torturing the family. I used this idea after I saw the empire magazine which showed the joker at the front of the cover. Audiences will be able to relate the character from the trailer to the poster. The villain in my trailer could be a new bad guy that everybody likes especially for the male fans. Villain

5. One of the main props in my trailer was the use of knife, this is to emphasis what extent the villain would go in order to play a game and have fun. I used this prop on my poster aswell to emphasis the importance of it. Also the audience will know who the knife belongs to after viewing the trailer. This is very effective in combining my ancillary text with my main product
