We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.

Question 1 evaluation conventions
1.
2. When considering our production
it is so clear that we meet this
convention of our genre. Especially
since our production includes
three experts that are within their
own field.
By having these it can be argued
that they make the whole
documentary more professional
and so therefore more affective for
our target audience who are
sophisticated and are looking for
knowledge to add to what they
already know.
Also as at some point our
professionals disagree with what
we are trying to tell our audience
as film makers, which can highlight
that what we are creating a
documentary about is a real
subject of conversation within our
society.
3. Right from the beginning of our
documentary we use a voiceover, we
do this to introduce our
documentary to the audience and to
almost build a picture of what the
film is going to be about before the
title shows up within the production.
By using the voice at the beginning
with the certain images, we are
universalising happiness and with the
soothing voice of god it highlights the
aspiration of being ‘truly happy’.
We then end our production with the
voice of god which gives the sense
that it is your own choice whether or
not you are going to be happy but
there can be many things that will
get in your way.
By using the authoritive voice of god
both at the beginning and end it
creates a feeling for the audience
that it could be out of your control as
it is a voice of power but can still
provide the audience with the idea
that they now have the knowledge to
be successfull
4. We adhere to this convention due
to the fact that we include a lot of
natural lighting like for example,
the way that we use a lot of
sunlight within our shots through
trees, buildings and at sunset.
Additionally at some points during
our montage shots we adhere to
the use of natural sound as we
include in the background the
sound of the new york streets as
you see the boy run towards the
camera or when we use shots of
the park.
However we do not only use
diegetic sound but we also have
used non-diegetic as we have used
a lot of voice overs from our
interviewees and also our voice of
god.
5.
6.
7. In our production we wanted to give the
audience an emotion and make them feel
certain ways within different points of the
production. Which is why at the beginning
and then again at the end we have an
upbeat score to promote the feeling of
hope and aspiration. Then within the
middle of our production we used a
different score to demonstrate the trials
and tribulations that life can bring.
We broke this convention of having
reconstructions within our documentary.
The reasons for this could be that our
specific subject does not require any
reconstructions and we were more
focused on locations and things, objects
or hobbies that make people happy and
feel successful. Furthermore we do not
need to reconstruct anything as we are
not looking at real events that would have
happened and so there is no need to look
at them in more detail.
………….
8. film presentation that provides
information about factual topics
each documentary has its own set
of aims like to inform the viewers
on a specific topic, which means
that they are recording key points,
events and ideas.
However it is important to present
both sides of an argument and to
give the audience the ability to
make their own choice on the
topic.
Therefore its important to present
these to the target audience,
whilst entertaining them
9.
10. 1) Expose a person or a topic
2) Speak directly to the viewer
3) Rhetorical questions
4) Facts
5) Opinions
11. 4) Often has voice overs and titles-
this can help to get across a strong
point of view and certain side of
the argument.
5) They try to persuade the viewer
often done by using the voice of
god which often sounds objective
upon the subject in which the
documentary is focused on.
6) The clips and images used
within the documentary are used
to support and advance the
argument, therefore they are not
paramount.
