Q. 1. Discuss the Plan-Do-Check-Act(PDCA) cycle to improve the quality ofOrganization’sproducts,
services and business processes.
Answer:PDCA (plan–do–check–act or plan–do–check–adjust) an iterative four-step management
methodusedinbusinessforthe control andcontinuousimprovement of processes and products. It
is also known as the Deming circle/cycle/wheel, Shewhart cycle, control circle/cycle, or plan–do–
study–act (PDSA). Another version of this PDCA cycle is OPDCA. The added "O" stands for
observation or as some versions say "Grasp the current condition." This emphasis on observation
and current condition has currency with Lean
Q. 2. Quality is an important aspect in any manufacturing organization. It is important to have
astandard quality plan to define the procedures specific to their products. There are manyphases
involved in planning the quality in manufacturing concern. Discuss those phases ofQuality
planning in manufacturing organizations.

project and determining how to satisfy them": Quality planning means planning howto fullfill
process and product (deliverable) quality requirements: "Quality is the degree to which a set of
inherent characteristics fullfill requirements"

Q. 4. Explain the Project planning and Controlling techniques such as Critical Path Method(CPM)
and Programme Evaluation and Review technique (PERT) with diagram.
Answer:ProgramEvaluationandReviewTechnique(PERT) and Critical Path Method (CPM) are tools
widely used in project scheduling. Both are based on network diagrams applicable for both the
planning and control aspects of production. Visual display of the network enhances the
communication and highlights the interdependency of the various activities required for project
completion. Perhaps the greatest contribution of these tools is the identification of sequentially
time-critical activities that require the closest monitoring.

Answer: Supplier / vendor certification is an important component of a total quality management

process that results in consistent conformance to our requirements. It supports the concept of

Answer:Supplierratingisthe result of a formal vendor evaluation system. Vendors or suppliers are
givenstanding, status, or title according to their attainment of some level of performance, such as
delivery, lead time, quality, price, or some combination of variables. The motivation for the
establishment of such a rating system is part of the effort of manufacturers and service firms to
ensure that the desired characteristics of a purchased product or service is built in and not
determined later by some after-the-fact indicator. The vendor rating may take the form of a
hierarchical ranking from poor to excellent

the 20th century. Toyota has continued to be profitable, even amid multiple type of crisis.The
