Because the Indians and Spanish lived in different areas in Latin America, the Indian culture and
society did not change significantly. Or did there society change? The Spanish colonizers had a huge
influence on the indigenous peoples of Mexico and Peru s, culture, language, traditions, religion, even
on their native food. One can say that this came into being shortly after Columbus discovered the New
World. The Spanish conquistadors, who sailed with Columbus to the New World, were the first to
leave their mark on the new territory. We still see some of these traditions in today s society. The
Spanish taught the Indians of their oral traditions of legends and jokes, music, food, beliefs, and
customs. The Indians even picked up on their native tongue, Spanish, and used it as their own and still
do to this day. There are many things in the Mexican culture which have contributed to the shaping
and molding of the modern Latino society, such as the Mexican history, culture, language, religion,
and traditions.
The Indigenous culture is not simply a blend of Mexico used to be, but the results of a unique
historical process that developed with an originality all its own. This culture was divided into many
different social classes after the Spanish took the reins. Like they started to develop a governmental
system for the Indigenous people and they started to tax them with the Bourbon Reforms. Many
Indigenous people hated the thought of this so they took matters in to their own

This project will focus on the British criminal justice system in the 1950s regarding juvenile
behaviour. The research will explore the ways used to prevent juvenile crime, the social and
psychological motivation for crime, and the way that the criminal justice system aimed to rehabilitate
those convicted of a juvenile offence. To explore these areas an understanding of delinquency, and its

Modern Records Centre Practicalities
On Wednesday 6th March I contacted the Modern Records Centre via e mail regarding the documents
I would like to view. I found this relatively straight forward with the pre prepared catalogue for the
making history project and the database section on juvenile delinquents in the 1950s. I asked to see ten
files that I later discovered contained various documents. This made my task a little harder as there
was more material to read. However, in hindsight this helped to gain an overview for the task ahead. I
photographed the documents most relevant to my research for further analysis at home, whilst
considering maintaining a balance of newspaper articles, photographs and texts. Practically this
enabled me to progress with the project without being restricted to the Modern Records Centre. I also
gave great importance to recording the origin of any information, making a note of the reference codes
for consideration later within the project.
I now feel more confident using archives and I would be comfortable pursuing future research with
the involvement of the archive.

During the Spanish conquest of the Incan Empire the role of the Kuraka was crucial in gaining control
over the Andean society. The role of the Kuraka could be thought of as provincial nobility [1] whose
main job was to control the labor and tribute made and delivered from the natives to the state. In order

Because they did not understand the infrastructure the Spaniards could not gain access or control over
the Indian society with their own hierarchy or authority. It was made clear that in order to run this
society the Spanish rulers had to gain control over the means of production. This is why they
incorporated the traditional Andean Hierarchy, The Kurakas, into their model of government.[5]
In the late 1500 s Francisco Toledo, Spanish Viceroy of Peru, implemented many reforms centralizing
the colonial government. He implemented regulations that grouped the natives into small settlements
or villages, much like those seen in Europe, with grid like streets, a central plaza that faced the church,
and a jail, etc. The Indians resisted these villages and many even fled. In the face of Indian resistance
the Spanish authorities planned on using the Kurakas traditional power over the labor and goods of the
Indigenous people to benefit the state by gaining control over these societies and using these goods
and services of the natives as forms of payment to the state.
Discrimination and the exploitation of Indians continued to grow throughout the 16th century and
brought about difficulties for members of the Indian elite. The Kurakas were slowly losing respect
from the natives by trying to fulfill their requirements to the state. Laws and ordinances were put in

I am truly proud of my background and how it has formed my identity. My background consists of me

Abstract As the ipv4 addresses are being exhausted, the globe is adopting ipv6 protocol in place of the
ipv4 protocol. Also the number of YouTube users in android and iOS are increasing day by day. Under
this scenario, the operator is concerned about the influence of both IP versions on the popular video
streaming website YouTube in android as well as in iOS environments to provide better video
streaming experience for the YouTube users. In this paper we emulated the android and iOS
environments in windows platform. The emulators are connected to the Internet using both the
Internet protocol versions and then the streaming parameters which give the performance of YouTube
are calculated. The values of these parameters describe the impact of both IP versions.

explains the love he has for his father despite all the flaws his father holds. Roethke describes his
emotions through this poem by using diction, imagery, and the use of tone. In the poem, Roethke uses
diction that shows his emotions towards his father. In the first stanza, the poet says: The whiskey on
your breath Could make a small boy dizzy; But I hung on like death: Such waltzing was not easy.
Even though his father is a drunk he still loves him. He says I hung on like death which emphasizes
the bond he has with his father while they are waltzing together. This also shows a strong sense of
love and affection he has for him. Because his father s breath reeked of whiskey, it was hard for them
to waltz with ease. Also, the poet somewhat describes pain in way as well when he uses the words
battered and scraped in the third stanza. He uses these word battered because he s describing that his
father s hands as worn out and beat up because he probably works really hard at his job which requires
a lot of labor and the description of that word shows the reader that he works hard at what he does.
With the word scraped, this shows pain because when the poet and his father waltz, his right ear
scraped because his father was drunk on the whiskey and it made him a little dizzy and the poet most

the son and the father are having fun together waltzing even though they are being careless as they are
bumping into the pots and pans in the kitchen which annoys the mother as described in the second

With the use of imagery, the poet communicates to the reader the emotional bond between the father
