American Pioneers Vs Pioneers
I recognise your claim in your speech and I have to say I disagree with you. I solemnly believe that the
statue should be put up because the pioneers had every right to come here. They were in search for a
better living because in Holland they were not able to raise children nor make a living. It is very easy
today to compare it too refugees that come to America to better their lives also. Today we have people
are coming to America to better their lives, just like the pioneers did. This statue shows the American
dream. It is tragic that there was a war that resulted in their appearances but change is natural in life.
Changes like the Soviet Union become Russia or even in America the Union defeating the
Confederates in which was a major step

Chapter 7 Deviance And Social Control (25 Points)
Chapter 7, Deviance and Social Control (25 points) 1. a. deviance is any behavior or physical
appearance that is socially challenged or condemned because it departs from the norms and
expectations of a group (154) b. Deviant is relative because an act may be considered as deviant when
a large number of people contempt it. Under the right circumstances and depending on the culture and
time, any behavior may become a deviant. c. During China s Cultural Revolution, children were
allowed to correct their parents. Now, in China and in the US, it is not acceptable and is considered as
a deviant. It is because the children are too young to aware the problems. They have not much life
experience as the adult and are believed to not able ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
a. In the US, if an individual uses a high toned to talk, that person is considered to be aggressive and
want to have an argument. In Viet Nam, people can use high toned voice to highlight their opinions
and others do not feel offended. When I was working, I changed my voice a little bit when a customer
forgot to pay her meal. A worker came toward me and used Vietnamese to tell me about this norm. He
was born in the US, therefore, he knows about these unwritten rules. At the end of the shift, we talked
about this accident and he was not surprised at all as he is a Vietnamese American guy. b. What did
you learn about deviance and your own culture from this interview? (2 points) Deviance is relative. An
act is considered as a deviance in one culture and may not in another culture. Each culture has its
norms, beliefs, and values. 4. White collar crimes are crimes committed by those with high status,
respectable positions as they carry out the duties and responsibilities of their occupation (175)
Example: corrupt politicians use money from public constructions for personal budgets. Corporate
crimes are crimes committed by a corporation through the way that it does business as it competes
with other companies for market share and profits

Nellie Bly s Report
Nellie Bly was an American journalist who is widely known for her record breaking trip around the
world. She started with working for the Pittsburgh Dispatch, where she wrote about the lives of
working women and investigated articles of women factory workers. Later on Nellie worked on my
Asylum Exposé, where she took an undercover assignment for which she agreed to feign insanity to
investigate reports of brutality and neglect at the Women s Lunatic Asylum. Nellie s report about the
experience was later published as Ten days in a Madhouse, which prompted the asylum to implement
reforms. Then she took her trip around the world. Bly turned the fictional Around the World in Eighty
Days into fact for the first time. At the age of 18, Nellie

Daoism In China
1. The common theme I gathered from both the web article and web video is Daoism s role in China s
strategy in dealing with environmental issues and how it s philosophy relates to modern life. Bilhartz
did well in explaining the Daoism philosophy of going with the flow of life and living in harmony
with nature. To these mystics, some who later would be known as Daoists, human needs were best met
when individuals rejected all artificial restraints and lived spontaneously in harmony with nature
(Bilhartz, 2006, p. 267). The article explained that the Chinese government looked to Daoism to
provide a moral and spiritual approach to the environmental issue, rather than engaging an economic
approach. The growing environmental issues the Chinese

The Pros And Cons Of The Canadian Conscription Crisis
The United States of America is the nation with the largest, most powerful, and most funded military.
The United States has been known to commonly get involved with other nations purely based off the
fact that it is militarily capable. In the past the United States has had to implement several drafts to
support the military s need for more troops. The question is, in this day and age, would it be
acceptable for the United States to order a national mandatory military conscription to fuel the
military? There are always those that are exempt from military service, as well as those who cannot be
exempt which increases the gap of inequality which will harm some more than others. Due to
evidence presented in previous conscription efforts, possible ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Previous conscription implementations have been proved to be devastating to its nations. The
economy depends on the workers and cannot possibly be maintained if many of said workers are
drafted into the military. Civil liberties must always be prioritized over national security in the United
States because that is what the nation was built upon. Lastly, with all the other alternatives present
there is no need for a military conscription to occur. Overall a mandatory military conscription in the
United States clearly should not be an event that arises in the foreseeable future due to previous
conscription efforts, possible economic effects, the infringement of civil liberties, and other

Motivation Theory X And Theory
Motivation Theory X
Motivation Theory X
Foundation of today s organizations. These theories go back to the turn of the century and in some
cases are considered by the uninformed to be simply fads which come and go. As I have discovered,
these theories are rather the steps on a ladder which continually takes us higher and higher. Douglas
McGregor in his book, The Human Side of Enterprise published in 1960 has examined theories on
behavior of individuals at work, and he has formulated two models which he calls Theory X and
Theory Y. Theory X Assumptions The average human being has an inherent dislike of work and will
avoid it if he can. Because of their dislike for work, most people must be controlled and threatened

Collaborative self directed work teams can get complex projects done at faster rates than the
traditional boss worker arrangement, because the decision making process is made faster and more
effective in a team. Empowering teams to make decisions about their work also enhances satisfaction
and reduces turnover (Berger, 1998). Self directed work teams involve employees in a specific area, or
those who are working on a specific product or process. Self directed work teams can be any size, we
usually use 5 team members but normally run no more than 12 to 15 employees. The work team
makes the decisions that would normally be made by a supervisor or manager, and might interact with
the company s suppliers and customers, whether they are inside or outside the company.
In some companies, self directed work teams will also take over many of the human resource
functions as well (Cotton, 1993). Self directed work teams have also become one of the more
changing approaches to employee involvement, and has been increasing in popularity within the last
several years. Companies such as Proctor Gamble, Digital Equipment, General Mills, Federal Express
and other well known companies, are reorganizing their employees into self directed work teams. In a
recent survey, 476 Fortune 500 companies found that although only 7% of the work

Examples Of Discourse Communities
REDO DISCOURSE COMMUNITY
Everyone has the same goal in a discourse community, achieving a set goal. Whether it be getting
work done or doing something for fun everyone has a goal in a group. The reason why people come
together to form a group is usually one they cannot achieve alone. Playing a game alone makes it
reasonably boring but with other people involved makes the game more fun. Unlike most discourse
communities the players in the game Dota 2 do not do a physical activity. While ninety percent of
discourse communities come together to finish manual labor, the community of Dota 2 comes together
to have fun. This proves that not all discourse communities form to do work.
First, all discourse communities have a set goal. People come ... Show more content on

A way to pick teammates is to usually make friends and have fun with them. Older Timers within the
group you can usually pick out because they have a more negative view on the game and are harsh to
get onto people for doing something that was out of sorts. A new player usually is very positive
starting out and is very open minded about what they can do. This usually fades after a month of
playing the game. You also can tell who s a new player based on what they buy and how they play. I ve
had the luxury of interviewing a young teen that is on a small, competitive team. When the teen was
asked why does he play Dota 2 he responded, at first I played it because it looked interesting, but
nearly 1000 hours later, I play because I know so much about the game it makes it more fun to make
decisions; plus I like playing with friends. This concludes that not all players play necessarily for the
bragging rights of just being good , players play to be able to have a fun activity with their friends or
just simply make friends. It s ridiculously easy to make friends in game considering if you do, these
people see you from when you started to where you currently are now. This gives them a sense of
being with you from when you just began playing the game. Understanding team roles also helps
anyone become a better player within the game. To understand team roles a person must be playing for

All Quiet On The Western Front And Night
Long Essay #1 In the two books we read in class, All Quiet on the Western Front and Night we see
that the two world wars of the twentieth century produced unprecedented destruction to human life.
We see this because in Remarque s All Quiet on the Western Front, he says that after witnessing
bodies getting blown up, people getting shot, things burning down and loud noises every day, he was
forced to realize that he no longer belonged to the society that he came from. He realized that he now
belonged to the world of war and that even if he tried to go back to his home, there would be nothing
left for him to go back to. Throughout the books he makes references that his family becomes the
people he was fighting with, even the people he was fighting against because they were the only ones
who understood what he was going through (Remarque, 1929). He and his family no longer kept in
contact and so he was basically in the world alone with no practically no loved one to lean on. The
same goes for the Ellie Wiesel s Night. Ellie gets taken away from his family and forcibly put into a
concentration camp in which he never knew existed. The camp life was harsh and brutal. He saw sons
killing their fathers for food and people dying every day simply for the lack of water. He was forced to
do hard work and take long journey s in which had the intention of killing him and his counter parts
because they were Jewish. He no longer spoke to his mother or sister and his father had just died.

Interview With The Vampire Essay
SYNOPSIS The movie I chose for this paper is Interview with the Vampire. This movie starts out with
Louis, Brad Pitt, seeking out an eager journalist to write his story. Louis s story begins with his
transition from human to vampire; the one who turns him is a vampire named Lestat, Tom Cruise.
They start their undead life together as a companionship. They experience many endeavours, girls, and
cities. In one town ridden with the black plague, Louis finds a young girl, Kirsten Dunst. She is
grieving for her lost mother and Louis decides to take care of her. Lestat then makes the decision to
transform her into a vampire and have his own little family. Many conflicts arise between Louis,
Lestat, and their new daughter Claudia.Though in the end, a new beginning starts.

His biological parents died while he in his 20 s. When Lestat found him, he gave him a new meaning
to life. Eventually, they gained a daughter of sorts. The three of them lived happily, but not for long.
Shortly after Claudia s hair rage, she fed Lestat dead human blood to kill him. When that did not quite
do the trick, she slit his neck; forcing Louis to then gather Lestat s body and throw it in a river. Louis
had lost his best friend of many centuries. Claudia and Louis had traveled in search of more of their
kind. This proved to be not the best for Louis family. After a rage from the head vampire Armand, he
killed Claudia and a women they had just turned by burning them alive. This is when Louis burned the
theater to the ground. Louis family has been destroyed many times throughout his life. Inevitably,
destroying any future families he could have

Defect Correction Is The Remediation Of A Software Condition
Defect Correction
Defect correction is the remediation of a software condition or result that contradicts or does not meet
the needs of the software requirements (Defect, 2010). The agile test model is an automated and
efficient process for detecting requirements and functionality variations (Tarhan Yilmaz, 2014). Also,
unit testing activities are performed earlier within the life cycle and defects are identified sooner
(Tarhan Yilmaz, 2014). The early identification of defects minimizes the costs for defect correction or
rework (Tarhan Yilmaz, 2014). The accelerated timeframe allows teams to remediate defects before
functionalities are demonstrated or sent to the customer for user acceptance testing (Tarhan Yilmaz,
2014). Without incremental methods, as evident in the waterfall model, identified defects are unknown
until post customer delivery (Tarhan Yilmaz, 2014). As a result, the estimated costs for software
development are exceeded to remedy code defects or cover the expense of rework for issues that
customers identify post implementation (Tarhan Yilmaz, 2014). Finally, post development defects may
result in the loss of customers given the impact and severity (Tarhan Yilmaz, 2014). An empirical
study of development models revealed that agile model performance was superior to that of waterfall
with respect to defect detection and cost control (Tarhan Yilmaz, 2014).

Using Cinematic Techniques In Steven Spielberg s Minority...
Minority Report
How does the filmmaker use cinematic techniques and narrative elements to explore their message
about a theme in Minority Report?
The government s interest in citizen privacy and freedom through technology in Steven Spielberg s
Minority Report, while allegedly for protection , is more so for political gain. While the introduction
of Pre Crime appears to have genuine intentions, the reality is that it has been founded upon inhumane
manipulation of precogs and their families. The lack of privacy and freedom across civilians is
depicted cinematic techniques, such as the construction of a monotonous environment as suggested
through the lack of colour. Additionally, the use of foreshadowing and characterisation narrative

While Big Data has shown to be useful for public services, Spielberg s construction shows how this
ultimately comes at the cost of privacy. Citizens of the District of Columbia in 2054 give up their
privacy for advertisement revenue alongside so called protection through the pre crime program,
offering to prevent the occurrence of murder by compromising their privacy through excessive
surveillance. Big data , a term coined to describe complex data such as photos or online activity has
been spoken of as a devil by the media in the recent age of technology. The tracking and identifying of
consumer habits in Minority Report remains one of many exemplified speculative Big data aspects
that have realised since the publication of the film. The store assistant which not only knows the
customer s name and types of products they purchase, can be seen all over the internet, personalised
advertising appearing as soon as a consumer has typed a search into Google. When a company has this
information, so do Governing Agencies. While not directly addressed in Minority Report, it is
questionable as to how these agencies manage such information. With the foundation of the legal
system built upon covering a murder and concealed mistreatment of multiple human beings, invasion

The Interrupters Documentary Analysis
Click Slide 1) Have you ever thought of street violence as an infectious disease? One that can be

Through time, educational information has been passed on using films otherwise known as
documentaries, which are illustrated through pictures, interviews and recordings of real life events to
provide a factual record or report.
The key to a great documentary is good communication. A high level of communication between the
documentary and its audience is imperative in delivering an educational message through a concise,
yet entertaining presentation.
Good morning fellow documentary filmmakers, my name is Bianca Zell, today I have the pleasure of
introducing you, to one of the most successful documentaries to ever come out of America. The
Interrupters is shot over the course of a year in the streets of Chicago, it tells the moving stories of
three Violence Interrupters who try to protect their communities from the violence they once
employed. The stories told throughout the film may weigh heavily on your heart and head, but

Race Relations Between African Americans and Whites...
Following what was arguably the most turbulent time in American history; Reconstruction had far
reaching effects on a number of areas of life in the United States. In the Deep South, one of the
clearest impacts could be seen on racial relations, specifically between whites and newly freed African
Americans. Legally, dramatic changes had been made at the federal level, providing African
Americans with a host of rights that had never been offered them before. It was no wonder, then, that
former slave owners in the South rejected these changes and rights, taking whatever steps necessary to
keep African Americans down. The dramatic changes that took place in terms of race relations
between African Americans and whites following Reconstruction ... Show more content on

Legally, the passage of the Fifteenth Amendment just a few years after the close of the Civil War,
African American men had the right to vote according to the United States Constitution. However,
racial relations in the south had deteriorated so greatly that even such constitutionally protected
elements of their lives were unable to survive. Whites passed a number of laws designed to
disenfranchise African American men, knowing that without the right to vote, the voices of newly
freed slaves would not be heard. These laws included such measures as literacy tests, poll taxes,
property qualifications, and so called grandfather clauses that denied an individual the right to vote if
their grandfather did not vote himself. Race relations in the south had deteriorated so rapidly that even
something as basic as voting, something that was to be provided to African American men according
to the United States Constitution, was denied them ( The state... , 2011). As individuals living in the
north became increasingly disinterested with the plight of African Americans in the south, a political
change was made, one that would alter the racial relations between whites and blacks for generations.
In 1896, the United States Supreme Court issued a ruling in Plessy v. Ferguson that would set the
stage for continued segregation in the American south with three simple words: separate but equal.

Concerns of Bioterrorism
Issues/ Concerns of Bioterrorism US/Guam
What is Bioterrorism? What are the types of Bioterrorism? What issues or concerns should we be
aware of when talking about Bioterrorism? How is Bioterrorism different from the United States and
that of Guam? These are some of the things people would think of and wonder when they hear the
word Bioterrorism. It s important to know the different steps or precautions that a person can look into
in order to prevent themselves from being a victim of Bioterrorism. First things first, Bioterrorism is
defined as the intentional release of toxic biological agents to harm and terrorize civilians, in the name
of a political or other cause. The history of Bioterrorism goes way back. According to the Terrorism
Issues and Homeland Security, there have always been efforts to use germs and disease as weapons.
The reported risk has led the U.S. government to expend immense resources for bio defense in the
early part of the 21st century. According to Right Diagnosis from health grades, there was a list of the
different types of Bioterrorism and they are: Anthrax, Salmonella, Glanders, Melioidosis, and
Smallpox.
Anthrax is an acute infectious disease caused by the spore forming bacterium Bacillus anthracis. This
disease mostly occurs in wild and domestic animals such as: antelopes, camels, cattle, goats, sheep,

Rhetorical Questions About Graphic Design
Narrative intro:
Witty comment rhetorical question about art. Artist quote. Implication of the medium of Graphic

discovery of the pathway of an arts career specifically in the sector of graphic design. Before i
conducted my research about graphic design i new of only certain aspects of graphic design. I knew
graphic design was a career of the art field and was greatly integrated with technology. They use

I had made many assumptions about graphic design before i actually researched it. I believed it was a

It all began that day in the computer lab. I logged onto an ebsco resource database and i began typing
in keywords pertaining to artistic careers, but mainly graphic design. I used lots of my sources i found
on the database were taken from encyclopedias. We went as a class to the computer lab and researched
on ebsco database. I was a bit lazy, then a couple weeks later i finally took the plunge and went to the
library. I love books and libraries, but it s just a social issue for me. Books are so personal and to have
someone else read and feel the same things is just so exposing and you kinda feel naked. So being in a
library with other people is somewhat... weird. But finally my friend, lauren, and i entered the library.
I initially had a hard time finding any books, i really don t like asking for help because it s honestly
awkward. But i found an initial art/ film isle. It was very limited but i didn t expect more from a
school library. To my delight i found that there was a somewhat large isle all pertaining to graphic
design. I m short, so i made sure to bring a tall friend to reach the books on the top shelf. I proceeded
to grab three books, two on the history of graphic design (which deemed less helpful), and an
explanatory manual on the different aspects of Graphic design. I also watched a documentary on
netflix called Abstract: The art of Design I found the best information in that book, describing the
basics of graphic design and in the netflix documentary. The documentary offered insight on different
fields of design whether it was political cartoons, stage design, typography, or in the fashion industry.
The basis of my project is specifically graphic design, yet graphic design is applicable to many
mediums. The book gave me the basic details and background information, and i could apply my
previous knowledge to really understand the netflix documentary which was a series of interviews of
designers and their specifics of their

The Social Process Theories
A social norm is a specified code of conduct that is acceptable within a society or group. These norms
include both appropriate and inappropriate values, beliefs, attitudes and behaviors that are expected of
individuals under given circumstances (Lewis, 1969). They are neither static nor universal as they
keep on changing with time and vary with respect to culture, class and groups. There are two different
types of social norms, namely behavioral or descriptive norms and attitudinal or injunctive norms.
Descriptive norms are defined as actions and behaviors that are depicted by individuals in a social
group setting. These norms are informal and originate from the day to day social interactions hence
are neither enforced by the justice system nor other formal bodies (Cook, 2003).Behavioral norms
attract no social sanctions for non conformity with the norms. Injunctive norms on the other hand are
beliefs and expectations of how individuals or people should behave within a group setting under
given situations. Individuals tend to conform to attitudinal norms out of fear of possible interdictions
as a result of not following them.
Dominant culture refers to the approved languages, culture, beliefs, values, and customs that are
portrayed as for the general society. Dominant culture achieves dominion over other cultures through
domination of the social institutions such as communication, education, art, politics, law and
business.Dominant culture has played the role of judging

The Value Of Discipline And The Desire Of Wisdom
Chapter eight expands the concepts in chapter one and introduces the value of discipline and the desire
of wisdom. This is the second of Solomon s three poems. In these verses, wisdom is again personified
as a woman and makes her proclamation, heard from far and wide, and does not wait for the audience
to come to her. She represents herself as two nouns: Doth not wisdom cry? And understanding put
forth her voice? (8:1). Understanding is another word for wisdom. For knowledge and understanding
go hand in hand . The next few verses set up the setting in which wisdom makes her speech: She
crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors. Unto you, O men, I call; and
my voice is to the sons of man (8:2 3). Waltke s commentary elaborates on the position of her speech
and explains that she speaks on the highest points, to be visible and audible as possible . Wisdom
stands by the way in the places of the path , in which connotes where the masses walk on their way to
choosing their lifestyle. This represents the point at where they must decide to follow either wisdom or
foolishness. Her location at the gates implies that she is around a place where a lot of people gather on
a daily basis, persuading them to stay away from the wicked. Wisdom stands at the opening of the
gates and Waltke expands on the idea that here decisions are made and people enter into new
situations and even embark on new journeys. She proceeds to give insight and

The Little Red Hen Research Paper
In the famous fable The Little Red Hen , a hen is hungry and decides to bake some bread. She starts
the task and it is more difficult than she originally thought it would be and so asks other animals on
the farm where she lives for help in sifting the flour, mixing the dough, and finally in baking it. Every
animal she asks replies that they are too tired or busy to help her, but when the bread is finally
finished, they come running to eat . The little red hen replies that they will under no terms eat any of
the bread because she is the one that sifted the flour, mixed and rolled the dough and baked the bread
alone. Only she will reap the rewards she deserves from her work.

This meant that he spent time as a busboy, a fountain worker, and eventually worked in the front

Tim Peake Summary
The Christian Science Monitor article, PUT THE TITLE HERE, PUT THE LINK HERE, discusses
the dangers of space travel with astronaut Tim Peake. According to Peake, a window on the
International Space Station (ISS) was damaged by a paint chip sized piece of metal. He contends that
the ISS can withstand this type of small hit by debris. However, a strike by larger Space debris could
be hazardous. In fact, the ISS had to do a planned maneuver to get out of the way of a larger piece of
debris. For many years debris from inoperable satellites has accumulated in Earth s orbit. The trash
left from these satellites is posing an increasing threat to current missions. In the year 1998, The
National Research Council (NRC) of the National Academy of Sciences equated the danger from
space debris to that of a spacecraft s launch or reentry. And since that time, the amount of debris in
space has more than doubled. Another issue that contributes to the danger of the debris, is that it is

Undoubtedly, less prosperous countries will not be able to travel to Space if they have to take on the
added expense of outfitting their spacecraft with de orbiting technology. However, Space travel is a
luxury, not a necessity. If a country cannot afford the added expense then that country is not ready to
partake in Space travel. Also, various companies and countries will wish to choose their own way to
manage the decomposition of their spacecraft. I think this is negotiable, as long as they do have a
viable plan in place before travel. However, an International law that requires a standardized method

Homo Habilis Influence On Ancient Civilization
When we think about history, we often think of what we have come to know as history: the ancient
civilization of Greece and Egypt, the wars of kings and popes, and the discoveries that changed the
world. However, what about before all that? What about before the first permanent agriculture
developed? What about before society? What about before anyone was there to record what was
happening? Physical Anthropology answers those questions, as it relies on hard, calculable evidence in
the forms of DNA, morphology, and a whole slew of other hard facts. To understand prehistory, we
first must understand the ones who came before us. But who are we? Homo sapiens yes, but who are
our ancestors? While we are a descendant of many, one ancestor of ours is ... Show more content on

Their height averaged from 3 feet 4 inches, to 4 feet 5 inches, based on the fossils that we have found.
Through this, we can see that Homo habilis was not nearly as similar to us as perhaps Homo erectus,
but was on the track to greater stature. Habilis also had the long arms needed for living in arboreal
environments, although they themselves did not live in forests, but retained the evolutionary tools to
do so. In that way, habilis resembled a more primate like being (Dorey.) It also had slightly curved in
fingers, indicative of knuckle dragging, or quadrupedalism. That being said, habilis had a less
prognathic face, meaning that its lower face was less protruding than its ape cousins though it still
stuck out slightly (smithsonian.) Aspects of habilis skeletal structure confirm that it walked on two
legs, including the fact that its hips are slightly turned in and its back is far less curved than its
predecessors. Additionally, its legs were relatively short to what we today consider as being normal,
perhaps another sign of their fairly recent transition from quadrupedals to

Informative Essay On Social Media
Technological advances in our world over the past decade have impacted our society tremendously.
With these advances have come new social media websites that people all around the world use in
their everyday life. Social media started out as a means of communication from person to person but
has drastically grown to be even a source of news and a reporting channel. The world can be updated
on events that occur within seconds through the use of websites and cellular apps with the most
popular today being Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. The increased speed of reporting news and
other things however does not necessarily determine all things posted via social media to be valid.
With the click of a few buttons on your phone, anybody has the capability to post a status or tweet that
has the potential of being viewed by thousands to millions of people. The article Tweeting Fast
Matters, But Only if I Think About It: Information Updates on Social Media uses the popular platform
Twitter in a study to determine whether or not there is a correlation between the speed of updates and
how people determine source credibility (Spence, Lachlan, Edwards, 55). Twitter and other social
media platforms are useful in reporting news fast and keeping people connected but not all
information shared online should be assumed true. Twitter is a social media platform that allows
people to post messages or tweets publically with the option for others to reply to the message. Over

Examples Of Masculinity In A View From The Bridge
In A View From The Bridge, Arthur Miller explores what it is to be a man in many ways, such as the
jobs and skills the characters have, power within family, sexuality and having honor. Many of these
ways are shown directly, but are also shown indirectly in what the characters say. Eddie Carbone as he
main protagonist of this play, a lot of the themes of masculinity are linked to Eddie and his views.
A concept of masculinity that Miller explores throughout the play is the job that the characters have,

the beginning of the play, this job has connotations of strength because it is a very physical job.

Women Have Shaped Canadian History
Women have shaped Canadian History The proliferation of Canadian women s movements, notably
their redefining role in society, has had a profound propitious impact on Canada s identity in the
twentieth century. The contribution of Canadian women in the cultural life (sports, the arts and dance),
the political impact from the leadership role of a female perspective (Nellie McClung) and women s
economic empowerment all contribute to the shape of Canadian history. Our current Canadian
national identity has been shaped and developed by events from our past by our determination, doing
the impossible , staying dedicated and true. Also by doing what others thought we couldn t, proving
people wrong and being dedicated to our plans and outlines (Vimy Ridge). By gaining more
independence, freedom, equality, rights and responsibilities . By being compassionate, sticking to your
words and seeking for new rights (Pierre Trudeau). Even though there are so many past events that
have shaped and developed our Canadian national identity, negative things have also done the same
but in a negative way. We Canadians are proud of our accomplishments and achievements. We have

Obesity With Emphasis On Childhood Obesity
Since physical activities can help a child and obesity and illness from child obesity, keeping a child
active and healthy can eliminate on child obesity. What is becoming a widespread in young children
these days, childhood obesity; it is on the rise and we must take care of this issue now? The topic that
was chosen to discuss was obesity with emphasis on childhood obesity.
The reason that I chose to discuss this topic is because I am a teacher for young child with an Early
Head Start program and we strive to educate the children about safety, development, health, etc.
Health is really important for children as they grow, it helps to develop the body and the brain as well.
I was always told that you have to watch what types of foods and drinks that you intake because it can
be hazardous to your health. Working with children has always been a passion and one day I would
hope to continue on after the completion of my degree in Education and or my own center. Since
schools, most fast food restaurants and parents seem to play an essential factor in the conflict with
youth obesity, it is important that educators are aware of the health risks and it is important that
educators learn what can be done to change the state of affairs when it comes to the health and
nutrition of children. As an educator, it is important that I am able to educate the children and the
parents on why it is important that a child stays healthy and at their average weight. I plan to showcase

Essay On Why Was The Gettysburg A Turning Point
Why Was Gettysburg Considered a Turning Point in the Civil War?
Gettysburg was one of the bloodiest battles ever fought in American history. A total of over 46,000
soldiers were lost in this battle. Confederate General Robert E. Lee had beaten a Union force twice the
size of his at the Battle of Chancellorsville earlier that year in the spring of 1863. But soon after this
battle, he went off the radar. This was until rumors began to emerge that he and his army were
marching into Pennsylvania. This caused a major panic. At this time, Union President Abraham
Lincoln appointed General George Meade as head of the Union army. Meade had little time to
prepare, as it was June 27th, just four days from the battle (he did not know this.) The Union Army

Gettysburg. In the second, Lee requests that President Davis supply his place. By this General Lee

Chaos Things Fall Apart
As the chaos of the world unfurls, the forces of good must counterbalance this force for without good,
chaos holds no reference to compare it against to make chaos chaotic. This notion holds true for all
forces in the universe as Newton s famous Third Law states that for every action there is an equal and
opposite re action, thus when chaos reigns, good reacts to counterbalance chaos and bring the system
into equilibrium. However, this relationship may not hold true forever as the reaction between chaos
and good creates entropy chaotic destruction that eventually will bring chaos it s inevitable victory
over good. Mankind attempts to create order through societal mores to dictate the chaotic nature of the
world, however, when the falcon flies too far from its nest the falcon falls into the perceived chaos of
the world. When the Europeans reached too far into the heart of darkness of Africa, they attempted to
create order where they perceived to be chaos, however, those who inhabit this so called chaotic land
saw the chaos of the furious European falcons and attempted to protect the good of their land.

Introduction:
As computer became more commonly used in universities and research labs in the late 1960s, the need
of having high speed interconnections between computer systems within a small region generated a
new interest of Internet development. The initial motivation for building such networks was generally
to share storage and printers, which were both expensive at the time. Early Local Area Networks
development started in the late 1970 s by enthusiasts and commercial companies. From that time until
the present a variation of LAN s design has been offered in the marketplace. However, in the late 1980
s people began to recognize Ethernet as the flavor of choice. The following report will concern only
Ethernet.
The figure in appendix shows the basic physical layout of a LAN. As illustrated, a LAN contains
various data equipment that all need to communicate with each other. A data equipment could be a
web server, a printer or a database. Each data equipment constitutes the users of the LAN. The
communication between each device is accomplished by sharing a common Transmission Medium.
The Transmission Medium is typically some type of cable. This cable provides transmit and receive
capability and all needed intelligence. Knowing the physical structure helps us to better understand the
potential requirements when designing a LAN.
When it comes to design a LAN, not only

The Court Administrator and the Prudent Police Chief
Case Study: The Court Administrator and the Prudent Police Chief
Abstract
All people given a traffic citation are to appear in court on a specific date after their traffic citations.
Those people who plead not guilty are set for trial at a future date, and the prosecutor and arresting
officer are required to appear at trial. 75 percent of people who plead not guilty fail to appear at trial,
but the city is still responsible for paying overtime expenses to those officers who are not on duty but
must appear at trial. The court administrator is called upon to devise a system to limit the city s
overtime expenses. The court administrator devises a system where the court has access to police
officer schedules, and where all officers are normally scheduled at least one day a month during court
trial hours, and sets trials involving those officers during that time period.
Question 1: What kind of a system would you propose to address the problem, and how would you go
about accomplishing this end? In creating a modified system, you are to work within the existing law,
with no changes in statutes or ordinances. The problem with the system, as it is established, is not due
to any underlying problems in ordinances and statutes, thus the solution would not require changing
either of those factors. The ordinances and statutes not only offer required due process protections for
those accused of traffic violations, but are also not inherently unwieldy. The real problem with the

Lemert Progressed The Labelling Theory Of Deviance
Lemert progressed the labelling theory by suggesting that there was a primary and secondary stage of

that they re minor and insignificant incidents of rule breaking. Whilst secondary deviance are acts
which have been publicly listed and labeled as deviant. Lemert argued that it was society s attempt to

secondary deviance. (Robert Van Krieken, 2013) Societal reactions.Social control agencies responses
towards the deviant, greatly affect deviance outcomes. Instead of minimising deviance the police can

Economic Factors
Business cycles have a wide reaching impact on the airline industry. During recession, airline is
considered a luxury amp; therefore spending on air travel is cut which leads to reduce prices. During
prosperity phase people indulge themselves in travel amp; prices increase.
After the September 11 incidents, the world economy plunged into global recession due to the
depressed sentiment of consumers. In India, even a company like Citibank was forced to cut costs to
increase profits for which even the top level managers were given first class railway tickets instead of
plane tickets.
The loss of income for airlines led to higher operational costs not only due to low demand but also due
to higher insurance costs, which increased after the WTC bombing. This prompted the industry to lay
off employees, which further fuelled the recession as spending decreased due to the rise in
unemployment.
Even the SARS outbreak in the Far East was a major cause for slump in the airline industry. Even the
Indian carriers like Air India was deeply affected as many flights were cancelled due to internal
(employee relations) as well as external problems, which has been discussed later.
Social Factors
The changing travel habits of people have very wide implications for the airline industry. In a country
like India, there are people from varied income groups. The airlines have to recognize these
individuals and should serve them accordingly. Air India

Both approaches focus on subjectivity and the inner world of the experiences in live, however
psychodynamics are focused on the impact of the unconscious mind on meanings, motivations,
behaviours and conscious experiences. They refer to inner conflicts (especially between the different
aspects of the psyche id, ego and superego) and the defensive processes used unconsciously to defend
against the anxiety these conflicts creates, including repression, sublimation, projection and reaction
formation. The aim of psychoanalytic psychotherapy is to release repressed unconscious material by
bringing it into consciousness. The person centred approach primary focus on the significance of a
person s conscious feelings and thoughts while not entirely rejecting the relevance of unconscious
feelings. Thus Rogers says that each person lives essentially in her own particular and subjective
world. . While he accepts that a person will not be conscious of all aspects of her subjective world he
believes that the person s awareness of herself is the most important source of knowledge about her.
The aim of person centred counselling is to help clients restore their ability to become aware of what
they really feel. For this the therapist provides an atmosphere of non evaluative, unconditional regard,

The metropolitan or urban university is one of the newer institutional models within the American
higher education system (Whitney, 2005). Initially, a group of academic leaders from t thirteen urban
institutions formed an alliance called the Urban 13 and began meeting regularly to discuss how their

In general, the Buckminster Fullerene is the third allotropic form of Carbon, with the other two being
Graphite and Diamond. The more proper term used to describe these compounds in regards to Carbon
compounds would be Graphenes. (22)
The Buckminster Fullerene was first discovered in 1985 by scientists Harold Kroto, Rickard Smalley
and Robert Curl. (1) They were able to discover that when Graphite is vaporized by a laser, a variety
of large Carbon cluster compounds were formed, the C60 compound or Buckminster Fullerene, being
the most abundant. (1) The other Fullerenes found were C28 C32, C44 and C78. The C60 compound
was named after Buckminster Fuller, as he was responsible for the creation of many geodesic domes,

This involves setting up an arc between two graphite electrodes and using a stream of inert gas, such
as Helium. (1) This causes the Carbon to form vapors, which then condenses into the C60 Fullerene as
well as additional types of Fullerenes. Source: S. Chuanchen, G. Haibin, F. Dufei, Extraction of C60
cluster ion beam, Review of Scientific Instruments, 65, 1405 1407 (1994).
Due to the cage like structure formed during the synthesis of the Fullerene, the compound is able to
trap small molecules of the inert gas within the structure. The general formula used to represent a gas
enclosed within the structure of the Fullerene is nX@C60, where n is the number of trapped atoms and
X represents the trapped gas. (1) The interior diameter of the C60 compound is 7.09Å, which is large
enough to trap a variety of the noble gases including Helium, Neon, Argon, Krypton and Xenon. (##)
In addition to trapping gases, the Fullerenes are also able to hold metal ions within the structure. Since
the C60 compounds have a high electron affinity, they can readily accept electrons from alkali metals.
The compounds that are formed from the enclosure of metal ions are known as Endohedral
Metallofullerenes. (1) Examples of alkali metals that can be placed inside the C60 compound include
Sodium, Potassium, Rubidium and Caesium. For the alkali metals, the formula would resemble,

The Principles Of Systems Analysis

are a large building company that currently employ a team of IT technicians to help them manage their
IT infrastructure and their IT users. They recently have taken over a similar small company that
employs technical staff in the same way. Iain s Co. feel that they need a centralised IT support system
that will monitor, track and report problems that have been identified by their IT users across both
sites. Iain s Co. have hired me as their Systems Analyst to provide them better solutions to manage
their IT Supports system. What is systems analysis and how are systems analysed? Systems analysis is
when business hire individuals to analyse their systems to determine what issues are present with their
current systems and provide a solution that will fix the issues. In order to discover the issues with the
system, the analyst must be able to interact with the business to identify how their current systems
work. This means that a systems analyst must have complete access to their databases as well as being
allowed to interact with employees. The main reason why the systems analyst would need to interact
with the employees is so they are able to find the strengths and weaknesses of the system. This is
useful to them as they will be able to identify what areas of the system need to be changed and what
areas should be kept the same. My Recommendations for Iain s Co In

Media Convergence And Its Impact On The Contemporary Society
Introduction
The rapid enhancement of technology in the contemporary society leads the phenomenon called media
convergence . This is a process that developing the interactive communication constantly across
multiple media platforms around the globe. Moreover, after human beings entered the twenty first
century, along with the development of digital and network technologies, media convergence patterns
have become more mature on account of three major factors technology, economic and market
(Langtry, 2012). Moreover, the technical factor mainly refers to the digital and network technologies
bring the interoperability, interchangeability and connectivity of media, so that the media convergence
has become a possible and an inevitable. However, Media convergence is not only a simply
technological shift but also alters the relationships between the existing technologies, industries,
markets, genres and audiences (Jenkins, 2004, p.33). Indeed, media convergence is an accommodative
process for the existing media, communication industries and cultures to adapt with new technologies
(Dwyer, 2010, p.2). Along with the technological development, which is integrating the resources of
different mediums, this operation of media convergence brings both changes and challenges in the
media industry (Thomas, 2011). However, advertising industry is one of the sectors of
communications and cultural industry that cannot avoid media convergence. This literature review

he died.
It must be highly difficult for a writer and producer to create something truly individual when there is
already so much material available.
The sixth sense was written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan and was nominated for many Oscar
awards, including best director, and best original screenplay. The most important of these nominations
is, to me, the best original screenplay nomination, as I intend to compare the effectiveness and
originality of the twist in this film to another movie titled The Life of David Gale . At first glance it

Historical Elements Of Verdi Prati
The piece from my final recital programme that I chose to evaluate in this essay is Verdi Prati from
Handel s opera Alcina. Alcina was inspired by a story from an epic poem called Orlando Furioso ,

opera as we see the character Ruggerio predicting what is to come for Alcina and her magical island.
The historical elements of this opera are extremely important in understanding the true meaning of the
song Verdi Prati. In 1734, the period which was known as the Royal Academy of Music in British

honesty and her moments of lies. Her marvellous arias shock and captivate the listener in a similar
way in which she dominates her lovers. This takes a basic story in new directions. She shares the stage
mainly with Ruggiero, who under Alcina s spell, is her mortal husband and passionate lover and who
is a leading castrato. Ruggiero predicts her coming defeat and ultimate vengeance in his nostalgic aria
Verdi Prati. His role is full of delicate and elegant touches. Despite the fact that Alcina is evil, her
major weakness is, in fact, her love for Ruggerio who eventually provides her with a broken spirit and
a broken

  • 2. American Pioneers Vs Pioneers I recognise your claim in your speech and I have to say I disagree with you. I solemnly believe that the statue should be put up because the pioneers had every right to come here. They were in search for a better living because in Holland they were not able to raise children nor make a living. It is very easy today to compare it too refugees that come to America to better their lives also. Today we have people are coming to America to better their lives, just like the pioneers did. This statue shows the American dream. It is tragic that there was a war that resulted in their appearances but change is natural in life. Deviant is relative because an act may be considered as deviant when a large number of people contempt it. Under the right circumstances and depending on the culture and time, any behavior may become a deviant. c. During China s Cultural Revolution, children were allowed to correct their parents. In the US, if an individual uses a high toned to talk, that person is considered to be aggressive and want to have an argument. In Viet Nam, people can use high toned voice to highlight their opinions and others do not feel offended. When I was working, I changed my voice a little bit when a customer forgot to pay her meal. A worker came toward me and used Vietnamese to tell me about this norm. He was born in the US, therefore, he knows about these unwritten rules. At the end of the shift, we talked about this accident and he was not surprised at all as he is a Vietnamese American guy. b. What did you learn about deviance and your own culture from this interview? (2 points) Deviance is relative. An act is considered as a deviance in one culture and may not in another culture. Each culture has its norms, beliefs, and values. 4. She started with working for the Pittsburgh Dispatch, where she wrote about the lives of working women and investigated articles of women factory workers. Later on Nellie worked on my Asylum Exposé, where she took an undercover assignment for which she agreed to feign insanity to investigate reports of brutality and neglect at the Women s Lunatic Asylum. Nellie s report about the experience was later published as Ten days in a Madhouse, which prompted the asylum to implement reforms. Then she took her trip around the world. The common theme I gathered from both the web article and web video is Daoism s role in China s strategy in dealing with environmental issues and how it s philosophy relates to modern life. Bilhartz did well in explaining the Daoism philosophy of going with the flow of life and living in harmony with nature. To these mystics, some who later would be known as Daoists, human needs were best met when individuals rejected all artificial restraints and lived spontaneously in harmony with nature (Bilhartz, 2006, p. 267). The article explained that the Chinese government looked to Daoism to provide a moral and spiritual approach to the environmental issue, rather than engaging an economic approach. The United States has been known to commonly get involved with other nations purely based off the fact that it is militarily capable. In the past the United States has had to implement several drafts to support the military s need for more troops. The question is, in this day and age, would it be acceptable for the United States to order a national mandatory military conscription to fuel the military? These theories go back to the turn of the century and in some cases are considered by the uninformed to be simply fads which come and go. As I have discovered, these theories are rather the steps on a ladder which continually takes us higher and higher. Douglas McGregor in his book, The Human Side of Enterprise published in 1960 has examined theories on behavior of individuals at work, and he has formulated two models which he calls Theory X and Theory Y. Collaborative self directed work teams can get complex projects done at faster rates than the traditional boss worker arrangement, because the decision making process is made faster and more effective in a team. Empowering teams to make decisions about their work also enhances satisfaction and reduces turnover (Berger, 1998). Self directed work teams involve employees in a specific area, or those who are working on a specific product or process. Self directed work teams can be any size, we usually use 5 team members but normally run no more than 12 to 15 employees. The work team makes the decisions that would normally be made by a supervisor or manager, and might interact with the company s suppliers and customers, whether they are inside or outside the company. In some companies, self directed work teams will also take over many of the human resource functions as well (Cotton, 1993). Self directed work teams have also become one of the more changing approaches to employee involvement, and has been increasing in popularity within the last several years. • 9. All Quiet On The Western Front And Night Long Essay #1 In the two books we read in class, All Quiet on the Western Front and Night we see that the two world wars of the twentieth century produced unprecedented destruction to human life. We see this because in Remarque s All Quiet on the Western Front, he says that after witnessing bodies getting blown up, people getting shot, things burning down and loud noises every day, he was forced to realize that he no longer belonged to the society that he came from. He realized that he now belonged to the world of war and that even if he tried to go back to his home, there would be nothing left for him to go back to. Throughout the books he makes references that his family becomes the people he was fighting with, even the people he was fighting against because they were the only ones who understood what he was going through (Remarque, 1929). He and his family no longer kept in contact and so he was basically in the world alone with no practically no loved one to lean on. The same goes for the Ellie Wiesel s Night. Ellie gets taken away from his family and forcibly put into a concentration camp in which he never knew existed. The camp life was harsh and brutal. He saw sons killing their fathers for food and people dying every day simply for the lack of water. • 11. Defect Correction Is The Remediation Of A Software Condition Defect Correction Defect correction is the remediation of a software condition or result that contradicts or does not meet the needs of the software requirements (Defect, 2010). The agile test model is an automated and efficient process for detecting requirements and functionality variations (Tarhan Yilmaz, 2014). Also, unit testing activities are performed earlier within the life cycle and defects are identified sooner (Tarhan Yilmaz, 2014). The early identification of defects minimizes the costs for defect correction or rework (Tarhan Yilmaz, 2014). The accelerated timeframe allows teams to remediate defects before functionalities are demonstrated or sent to the customer for user acceptance testing (Tarhan Yilmaz, 2014). Without incremental methods, as evident in the waterfall model, identified defects are unknown until post customer delivery (Tarhan Yilmaz, 2014). As a result, the estimated costs for software development are exceeded to remedy code defects or cover the expense of rework for issues that customers identify post implementation (Tarhan Yilmaz, 2014). Finally, post development defects may result in the loss of customers given the impact and severity (Tarhan Yilmaz, 2014). Whites passed a number of laws designed to disenfranchise African American men, knowing that without the right to vote, the voices of newly freed slaves would not be heard. These norms include both appropriate and inappropriate values, beliefs, attitudes and behaviors that are expected of individuals under given circumstances (Lewis, 1969). They are neither static nor universal as they keep on changing with time and vary with respect to culture, class and groups. There are two different types of social norms, namely behavioral or descriptive norms and attitudinal or injunctive norms. Descriptive norms are defined as actions and behaviors that are depicted by individuals in a social group setting. These norms are informal and originate from the day to day social interactions hence are neither enforced by the justice system nor other formal bodies (Cook, 2003).Behavioral norms attract no social sanctions for non conformity with the norms. Injunctive norms on the other hand are beliefs and expectations of how individuals or people should behave within a group setting under given situations. Individuals tend to conform to attitudinal norms out of fear of possible interdictions as a result of not following them. • 20. The Value Of Discipline And The Desire Of Wisdom Chapter eight expands the concepts in chapter one and introduces the value of discipline and the desire of wisdom. This is the second of Solomon s three poems. In these verses, wisdom is again personified as a woman and makes her proclamation, heard from far and wide, and does not wait for the audience to come to her. She represents herself as two nouns: Doth not wisdom cry? And understanding put forth her voice? (8:1). Understanding is another word for wisdom. For knowledge and understanding go hand in hand . The next few verses set up the setting in which wisdom makes her speech: She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors. Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man (8:2 3). Waltke s commentary elaborates on the position of her speech and explains that she speaks on the highest points, to be visible and audible as possible . Wisdom stands by the way in the places of the path , in which connotes where the masses walk on their way to choosing their lifestyle. This represents the point at where they must decide to follow either wisdom or foolishness. Her location at the gates implies that she is around a place where a lot of people gather on a daily basis, persuading them to stay away from the wicked. And since that time, the amount of debris in space has more than doubled. Another issue that contributes to the danger of the debris, is that it is traveling in space at 17,500 miles per hour. Also by doing what others thought we couldn t, proving people wrong and being dedicated to our plans and outlines (Vimy Ridge). By gaining more independence, freedom, equality, rights and responsibilities . By being compassionate, sticking to your words and seeking for new rights (Pierre Trudeau). Even though there are so many past events that have shaped and developed our Canadian national identity, negative things have also done the same but in a negative way. We Canadians are proud of our accomplishments and achievements. We have shaped and developed a great Canadian national identity from the past which we are still making. Obesity With Emphasis On Childhood Obesity Since physical activities can help a child and obesity and illness from child obesity, keeping a child active and healthy can eliminate on child obesity. What is becoming a widespread in young children these days, childhood obesity; it is on the rise and we must take care of this issue now? The topic that was chosen to discuss was obesity with emphasis on childhood obesity. The reason that I chose to discuss this topic is because I am a teacher for young child with an Early Head Start program and we strive to educate the children about safety, development, health, etc. Health is really important for children as they grow, it helps to develop the body and the brain as well. I was always told that you have to watch what types of foods and drinks that you intake because it can be hazardous to your health. Working with children has always been a passion and one day I would hope to continue on after the completion of my degree in Education and or my own center. Since schools, most fast food restaurants and parents seem to play an essential factor in the conflict with youth obesity, it is important that educators are aware of the health risks and it is important that educators learn what can be done to change the state of affairs when it comes to the health and nutrition of children. As an educator, it is important that I am able to educate the children and the parents on why it is important that a child stays healthy and at their average weight. I plan to showcase the causes ... A total of over 46,000 soldiers were lost in this battle. Confederate General Robert E. Lee had beaten a Union force twice the size of his at the Battle of Chancellorsville earlier that year in the spring of 1863. But soon after this battle, he went off the radar. This was until rumors began to emerge that he and his army were marching into Pennsylvania. This caused a major panic. At this time, Union President Abraham Lincoln appointed General George Meade as head of the Union army. Meade had little time to prepare, as it was June 27th, just four days from the battle (he did not know this.) The Union Army had been forced to march for the last two ... Chaos Things Fall Apart As the chaos of the world unfurls, the forces of good must counterbalance this force for without good, chaos holds no reference to compare it against to make chaos chaotic. This notion holds true for all forces in the universe as Newton s famous Third Law states that for every action there is an equal and opposite re action, thus when chaos reigns, good reacts to counterbalance chaos and bring the system into equilibrium. However, this relationship may not hold true forever as the reaction between chaos and good creates entropy chaotic destruction that eventually will bring chaos it s inevitable victory over good. Mankind attempts to create order through societal mores to dictate the chaotic nature of the world, however, when the falcon flies too far from its nest the falcon falls into the perceived chaos of the world. The Basic Physical Layout Of A Lan Table of Contents Introduction 2 Discussion 3 Conclusion 5 References 7 Appendices 8 Introduction: As computer became more commonly used in universities and research labs in the late 1960s, the need of having high speed interconnections between computer systems within a small region generated a new interest of Internet development. The initial motivation for building such networks was generally to share storage and printers, which were both expensive at the time. Early Local Area Networks development started in the late 1970 s by enthusiasts and commercial companies. From that time until the present a variation of LAN s design has been offered in the marketplace. However, in the late 1980 s people began to recognize Ethernet as the flavor of choice. The following report will concern only Ethernet. The figure in appendix shows the basic physical layout of a LAN. As illustrated, a LAN contains various data equipment that all need to communicate with each other. A data equipment could be a web server, a printer or a database. Each data equipment constitutes the users of the LAN. The communication between each device is accomplished by sharing a common Transmission Medium. The Transmission Medium is typically some type of cable. This cable provides transmit and receive capability and all needed intelligence. Knowing the physical structure helps us to better understand the potential requirements when designing a LAN. When it comes to design a LAN, not only ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Court Administrator and the Prudent Police Chief Case Study: The Court Administrator and the Prudent Police Chief Abstract All people given a traffic citation are to appear in court on a specific date after their traffic citations. Those people who plead not guilty are set for trial at a future date, and the prosecutor and arresting officer are required to appear at trial. 75 percent of people who plead not guilty fail to appear at trial, but the city is still responsible for paying overtime expenses to those officers who are not on duty but must appear at trial. The court administrator is called upon to devise a system to limit the city s overtime expenses. The court administrator devises a system where the court has access to police officer schedules, and where all officers are normally scheduled at least one day a month during court trial hours, and sets trials involving those officers during that time period. Question 1: What kind of a system would you propose to address the problem, and how would you go about accomplishing this end? In creating a modified system, you are to work within the existing law, with no changes in statutes or ordinances. The problem with the system, as it is established, is not due to any underlying problems in ordinances and statutes, thus the solution would not require changing either of those factors. The ordinances and statutes not only offer required due process protections for those accused of traffic violations, but are also not inherently unwieldy. The real problem with the ... Due to the cage like structure formed during the synthesis of the Fullerene, the compound is able to trap small molecules of the inert gas within the structure. The general formula used to represent a gas enclosed within the structure of the Fullerene is nX@C60, where n is the number of trapped atoms and X represents the trapped gas. The Principles Of Systems Analysis Unit 11 Systems analysis Design 29/09/2014 The principles of systems analysis Iain s Co Iain s Co. are a large building company that currently employ a team of IT technicians to help them manage their IT infrastructure and their IT users. They recently have taken over a similar small company that employs technical staff in the same way. Iain s Co. feel that they need a centralised IT support system that will monitor, track and report problems that have been identified by their IT users across both sites. Iain s Co. have hired me as their Systems Analyst to provide them better solutions to manage their IT Supports system. What is systems analysis and how are systems analysed? Systems analysis is when business hire individuals to analyse their systems to determine what issues are present with their current systems and provide a solution that will fix the issues. In order to discover the issues with the system, the analyst must be able to interact with the business to identify how their current systems work. This means that a systems analyst must have complete access to their databases as well as being allowed to interact with employees. The main reason why the systems analyst would need to interact with the employees is so they are able to find the strengths and weaknesses of the system. This is useful to them as they will be able to identify what areas of the system need to be changed and what areas should be kept the same. My Recommendations for Iain s Co In ...
