Counterculture Movement Essay
John Lennon of the famous rock band, The Beatles, once said, If everyone demanded peace instead of
another television set, then there d be peace . This quote essentially defines the 1960s and the
counterculture movement in America. After WWII people had much more free time than they did
during the war, and many people decided that they wanted to settle down and start a family. This
caused a large boom in child birth. The children born during this boom are known as baby boomers .
Due to the baby boom between 1945 and 1955, over half the population was under 30 years old (The
American Experience 1). During this time in American history, the children of the baby boomer
generation started rebelling against the war in Vietnam and the ... Show more content on

Let It Be, Strawberry Fields Forever, Revolution, and many other songs by the British rock band, The
Beatles, helped shape the counterculture movement. Many songs by The Beatles supported the ideas
of rebellion, freedom and drug use. The Beatles were the most popular musical group in the 1960s,
and they were loved and idolized by many. They are still considered to be one of the greatest, if not
the, greatest musical group ever. Although the Beatles were the most popular and influential rock
group of the time, eclectic groups and singers of all different genres helped shape the music scene in
the 1960s, such as: Bob Dylan, the Beach Boys, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and the Who. Music by all
of these artists reflected the new sexual permissiveness and drug trends (The American Experience 2).
In 1969, a music festival called Woodstock was put together. It lasted for over three days and around
500,000 people came to listen to the music. Artists like the Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, and Janis
Joplin. The majority of the people that attended the festival were hippies. Hippies wore loose clothing,
for the most part advocated drug use, and promoted peace and love. Woodstock showcased a moment
in time where an entire generation became empowered and realized that they needed to break away
from the status quo. Music had a huge influence on the baby boomer generation and the counterculture
of the 1960s as a whole. A large part of the

Computer Access and Information Storage
Executive Summary
Computer access and information storage has drastically evolved with the increase of computer usage
and internet access across a wide range of areas including homes, businesses, schools and government
departments. These changes make requirements for more specific laws to regulate the use of
computers and storage of data as well as new forensic techniques and tools to investigate such
offences.
Following this, computer forensic investigators are becoming a necessity for lawyers and barristers as
support in both criminal and civil proceedings. What legislation exists in Ireland to handle computer
crime?
Ireland does not have exclusive law that would deal with computer crime as such, but has two laws
that can handle computer crimes. Criminal Damage Act 1991 (the 1991 Act ) deals with principal
offences in section 2 and section 5 while Criminal Justice (Theft and Fraud Offences) Act, 2001 (the
2001 Act ) covers computer related offences in section 9 and section 48.
Criminal Damage Act 1991
Section 2 (1) A person who without lawful excuse damages any property belonging to another
intending to damage any such property or being reckless as to whether any such property would be
damaged shall be guilty of an offence.
While section 2 above does not call out specific reference to computer related crime, the definition in
the statute regarding property does include offences relating to data.
Section 5 (1) A person who without lawful excuse operates a

Muscle Excitation And Contraction Case Study
Assignment D
Case Study Chapter 11 (6th)
1. D. Nerve impulses from motor neuromuscular junctions are unable to fully stimulate the affected
muscle because the antibodies target the acetylcholine receptors at the neuromuscular junction. As a
result, the muscles are not told to fire properly.
2. A. Increases the availability of acetylcholine at postsynaptic receptor sites. Edrophonium chloride
blocks the breakdown of the acetylcholine and would make the muscles stronger.
3. C. Increase muscle excitation and contraction. Myasthenia gravis prevents muscles from contracting
or acting sufficiently because antibodies target the acetylcholine receptors at the neuromuscular
junction and muscles are not told to contract. The medicine blocks the breakdown ... Show more

B. Actin and myosin. Myosin and Tropomysin are in competition for the same binding site on actin.
For tropomysin to bind with actin, it needs troponin. Myosin will not bind to actin without energy,
therefore it can t bind when muscles are at rest.
4. C. Contraction of skeletal muscle cells. When muscles contract, ATP must be produced to contract
the muscles. With any chemical reaction, heat is produced.
5. A. Motor units. Every muscle has several motor units which are composed of muscle fibers. To lift
the shovel, she needs more muscle fibers to create more force. In order to do so, the motor units would
first be recruited.
Chapter 12 Case Study (7th)
1. C. Acetylcholine is found primarily in motor neuron connections. It s the chemical that motor
neurons release to contract muscles.
2. A. Depolarization; excitatory postsynaptic potential. Sodium would depolarize the membrane and
increase the likelihood that the post synaptic neuron would fire an action potential.
3. B. Blocking the action of acetylcholinesterase. The medicine would block that to preserve
acetylcholine and allow it to stimulate muscle movement.

Statement of Teaching Philosophy
A teacher can never truly teach unless he is still learning himself. A lamp can never light another lamp
unless it continues to burn its own flame. The teacher who has come to the end of his subject, who has
no living traffic with his knowledge but merely repeats his lesson to his students, can only load their
minds, he cannot quicken them. ... Rabindranath Tagore (Nobel prize in literature in 1913)
This is my favorite quotation because it express what, I think, is the essence of teaching and learning.
As a student, I have observed that the best teachers were those who cared the most about teaching. It is
noteworthy to mention that, I loved the way of my organic chemistry teacher taught conformational ...

If a teacher makes the material covered in a course interesting, the students are more likely to learn
and keep the information presented. Besides helping students learn course content, I think its teachers
role to help students develop broader skills that are important in all field and future careers. These
skills include verbal and written communication, critical thinking, and consideration of issues from
multiple viewpoints. As an assistant professor, I would use several methods to convey clearly
principles relevant to the chemistry class I would teach:
Demonstration supplemented lectures.
In class participation
Development of Internet Resources
Research papers.
Motivation
One of most challenging task in teaching is the motivation of students. However, students can be
motivated to work hard if they see that professor cares about their success and if they see that he/she
sets high standards for him/herself as well as for the students. Poor lecturing, unavailability during
office hours, unfulfilled promises of checking the answer to a question, and general sloppiness set the
students wondering, not in a good way. Furthermore, motivation is one key factor which brings
students in the classroom. This can also be achieved logically by letting them to know the significance
of science, how it changes world, how can we have a better future, how can we control fuel crisis, how
can we reduce global

Hawaiian Mythology Research Paper
Hawaiian Mythology has a very long and rich history. One way Hawaiian Mythology is unique is that
they communicate their legends, traditions, and myths orally. This limits outsiders from being able to
fully grasp the culture. As a result, this aspect of Hawaiian culture creates a special bond and
understanding between members of the Hawaiian culture. A significant part of Hawaiian culture is
Hawaiian worship. Hawaiian worship is focused on natural occurrences; natural occurrences, or in
other words nature myths, such as rainfall, sunshine, or fruitful harvests.
Within Hawaiian Mythology, there are four primary Gods: Ku, Kane, Kanaloa, and Lono. Each god
represents a specific natural phenomena or natural occurrence. Each God is associated with a specific
color or scent or image. While each God represents a natural wonder, they are physically depicted in
human form, but are believed to be superior humans. The God Ku is the ... Show more content on

The Hawaiian peoples worshiped Ku seasonally; specifically in the summer season. While
worshipping Ku the Hawaiians would offer the God of war, seizer of all land, human sacrifices. Kane
is the God of life and presides over all of the other primary gods. Kane is often referred to as the
creator of Hawaiian mythology. Kane is elevated over the others because he became self aware and
separated himself from Po, the chaos of formless creation. Kane s ability to become self aware
enabled other gods, such as Ku and Lono, to escape Po. Once all three gods escaped Po, they created
Earth, or in other words, the Hawaiian islands. The god Kanaloa is often paired with, or balances the
god Kane. Kane plays a diverse roll in Hawaiian mythology. Some believe Kanaloa to be the god of

Texas A M at its core is a senior military academy, with a rich history of producing leaders for our
nation s finest. Since our inception in 1876, there have been Texas Aggies fighting, and dying, in
every American conflict. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the involvement of aggies who served
in World War I, and specifically, the contribution made by Jesse L. Easterwood to the University, state
of Texas, and our nation. When regarding our schools history, specifically with World War I, we saw
an entire senior class drop out, and we fly 55 flags at every home football game to remember those
who never came back to this great school. In a literal sense, World War I provided Texas A M the

Origins Of The Middle Eastern Dance
Due to culture, different countries have their different ways of life. This reflects their beliefs, values,
religion, attitude, social habits, music, dance and more. Dance differs from country to country
although a dance could be practiced in other countries.
In the Middle Eastern part of the world, they have a famous type of dance called the Belly Dance . The
Middle Eastern dance is an umbrella term that consists of all dances of the Middle East and its
neighboring areas from both the past and present. However it s also a term usually used to refer to
Raqs Sharqi or belly dance and its various styles, offshoots, and predecessors. Many scholars believe
that Raqs Sharqi stems from older dances. It is known to be one of the world s oldest dances with
theories relating it to ancient dances in Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, Persia, India and other ancient
civilizations.
Middle Eastern dance have many histories and origins. It is possible that this dance can be traced back
to Mesopotamia where temples engraving depicting dancers have been found. These same types of
depiction have been found on temples in Egypt dating back to 1000 B.C. and in Greece. It is
whispered by many that this dance started as an ancient ritual dance for fertility and childbirth. The
priestesses were sometime sacred prostitutes where they would perform these dances for clients as
they invoked the Goddess.
The modern version of belly dance only goes back to the 1900 s when it was modified as a stage

Everyone In The World Has Had Something Or Someone Relatively
Everyone in the world has had something or someone relatively close to them that has left an
everlasting influence. H.G. Wells is no different than the rest of the world. There were many events
and people in his adolescent life that inspired him to become a very successful, wealthy writer. More
importantly, they inspired him to write his first, most successful novel, The Time Machine. His novel,
The Time Machine, was written under the influence of his unique childhood that sparked his interest
in literature, his family and social standing that strongly affected the foundation of his work, and from
his fascination for science and the ideas of successful scientists. Wells had an interesting upbringing
that influenced the highly successful ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Most of the time, a person gets most inspiration from a person close to them, more specifically a loved
one. H.G. Wells was no different. The influence from Wells s mother and father, as well as his
upbringing, is undoubtedly present throughout The Time Machine. He was born in the Victorian era
where the common folks barely made enough money to survive, and the upper class flourished with
more money than anyone could ever imagine. The Wells family happened to fall into the struggling
middle class. His mother was a housekeeper, and his father was a poor businessman. His influence
from the continuous class struggle is evident in his novel, especially through his characters. H.G.
Wells s family and social life had a very big impact on his novel The Time Machine. His entire life he
struggled with his social class. He portrays much of that struggle into his novel. A reader can sense his
struggle when reading The Time Machine because it is clear that Wells mocks the rich, upper class in
his work. His feelings towards the future societies are very evident in his main character, the Time
Traveler. The Time Traveler was a very smart, intellectual upper class man. In the novel, he predicts
two futures for society. Though in the story, the societies are presented as the Time Traveler s
predictions, they are in fact H.G.Wells s idea of evolution of the social classes. He predicted that the
rich would evolve into wonderful, intricate creatures, while the poor would deteriorate

Similarities Between Southwest And Southwest Airlines
Southwest Airlines comparison with other US Airlines:
Southwest s greatest strength is its ranking number one in US domestic airlines, in terms of number of
passengers/load factor as can be seen from Exibit 1 C with southwest topping the chart as compared to
other airlines. American Airlines, the world s largest airline, was on the brink of bankruptcy despite

The financial success of Southwest has received a large amount of free publicity that has certainly
helped to create an image of an airline to be trusted and used by many passengers. They had 31 years
of continuous profitability.
Lot of airlines came and tried to copy southwest model but almost 97% of the startups failed.
Southwest s competitive advantage in providing low cost is of the primary reasons which their
competitors couldn t match. The airline has the lowest costs on a per mile basis among all the major
airlines as they used single aircraft type and the highly efficient, high frequency ad point to point route
scheme. Due to this commoditization of the industry, passenger profiles have changed with business
and first class seat demand in great decline. This correlates perfectly with Southwest s position of no
assigned seats or class designations. Competing companies have been forced to introduce low fare
options in attempts to regain lost market share from low priced air carriers. Because Southwest s
strategy has always been low cost, and standardized travel, they have not had to change strategy. This
has saved them what could amount to millions on restructuring costs. Also, some of the competitors
tried to increase no of flights which resulted in operational ineffectiveness

Susan Sontag s Notes On Camp
It is important to first be aware of the concrete definitions of low culture, as defined by Susan Sontag
in her Notes on Camp (1964) Low culture is a derogatory term for popular culture and working class
culture A direct opposite to this is high culture, often favoured by the elite. In which Sontag recognises
that both high culture and low culture are minority cultures. The combined influences of both strains
constitute mainstream culture . Before looking at what low culture Pope drew upon to produce his
own high art it is important to understand the context of Pope s writing and what was going on in
regards to Literary History of that time period.
The English Neo Classical Movement dominated English Literature from the Restoration (1660) to the
lyrical ballads of 1798,1800 and 1802. It is conventionally divided into three parts. These being the
Restoration Age (1600 1700) where figures such as John Milton and John Dryden were renowned.
The Augustan Age (1700 1750) where Alexander Pope himself was a central poetic figure and The
Age of Johnson (1750 1798). The primary focus is of course the Augustan Age, where Pope s work is
prevalent.
The Eighteenth century brought a new war of words, with a quarrel in 1690 s France in L Académie
Française, putting in to place a new historical sense of culture across Europe. The ideology is that
classical authors and learning could not be improved upon or surpassed by modern writers, instead
they should look to imitate the great

The Impact Of Technology On Education
On a daily basis, both businesses and individuals rely on technology. It cannot be denied that
technology has become part of our everyday life. As individuals, we all depend on technology, either
for education, health purposes, transportation, communication, romantic relationships, and/or business
growth . It is impossible to explore how each advancement in technology has impacted our lives as
well as how it will impact the future, but we can briefly explore the major advancements. Technology
impacts the environment, people individually, and the society as a whole. As we navigate through the
21st century, technology in the classroom is becoming further predominant. iPads are replacing our
textbooks, and we can research any desired topic on our smartphones. The impact that technology has
had on today s schools has been utterly momentous. Educators have now seen firsthand the numerous
benefits of technology in the classroom. According to a study by IT Trade Association CompTIA,
around 75 percent of educators have come to the conclusion that technology has a positive impact on
the education process. Educators have also recognized the significance of developing these
technological skills in students so they will be prepared to enter the workforce after they graduate
(Cox). By incorporating technology in the classroom, teachers are setting our students up for a
successful life outside of school. The increase of technology has even changed how teachers teach

cord and spinal ganglia towards the heart. Heart muscles such as Purkinje fibres elicit a rhythm when

Question 2c: Explain how these two mechanisms of vagal escape would differ in an isolated heart

ANSWER: When working on a heart in vivo there is the action of both parasympathetic, sympathetic
stimulation as well as hormonal control. In a live animal, the heart will continually be indirectly
stimulated by nerve impulses that increase or decrease heart rate based on bodily activity. There is an
absence of those factors in an isolated heart preparation, thus the heart rate will solely be determined

As an allied health leader one is required to know, implement, and evaluate the compliance of the
organization. In this paper I will identify an area that is listed on the organization s report card that can
be developed. I will describe the procedures of the plan, and the expectations and possible obstacles
this plan may have.
Purpose of the Plan

I feel it would take a few weeks to get this plan implemented only because it would be a change for
hospital staff and we all know at time that changes take time to get them going and all staff following
new procedures. Staff would have to take the extra few minutes to explain why a medication is being
given. But, on the other hand they would only have to explain it once not every single time a dose was
given and the patient would have a record of the medication they are taking. The personnel involved in
my plan would be the hospital pharmacist or IT department to send down or make available to nursing
staff handouts or database available to access on each medication that is being administered to each
patient while being hospitalized.
Expectations and Obstacles
My expectations from implementing this action would be that more patients are aware of why a
medication is being administered to them and what reactions could possibly happen. In addition I feel
that doing so would help element medication distribution errors. The printing of medications being
administered would have an increase on the budget due to the paper cost and ink as well as time of
staff. Some obstacles that I feel may occur is that with the shortage of hospital staff is that they would
not want to take the extra time to explain to each and every patient why they are being given a certain
medication. However, implementing a medication awareness program to

Breast Lift Case Study
Overview
Pregnancy, breast feeding, gravity, and decreased skin elasticity can affect the shape and firmness of
the breasts. Women who are generally satisfied with the size of their breasts, but not the shape are best
helped with a breast lift, also known as a mastopexy. The breast lift raises and firms the breasts,
resulting in a more youthful breast contour. Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, Dr. Charles Hsu, helps
patients who are unhappy about the sagging of their breasts with breast lift surgery. If there is too little
or too much breast volume, a breast augmentation or breast reduction might be recommended in
addition to a lift.

The following are some common reasons why patients may want to consider a breast lift:

Breasts that lack substance or firmness.

Hsu about their concerns and what they are hoping to get from surgery during the consultation. Dr.
Hsu will listen carefully to the patient and perform a physical examination, including breast
measurements, before he makes his recommendations. Patients will need to share their complete
medical history and patients over 40 will need to bring a recent mammogram. After hearing the
recommendations, the patient will be able to make informed decisions and then create a treatment plan
with Dr. Hsu.
Surgery Details
The procedure usually takes about 2 3 hours to complete a standard breast lift and about 3 hours for a
breast lift with augmentation. Like most cosmetic procedures, this is an outpatient procedure and the
patient will be able to go home after surgery. During surgery, Dr. Hsu makes an incision, raises the
breast and nipple, and then sutures everything into place. Dr. Hsu uses a special skin closure technique
that leaves the thinnest, most inconspicuous scar possible with multiple layers of dissolvable stitches.

Similarities Between Tim Collins And Martin Luther King
Introduction:
Persuasive speeches are used to convince the audience about a speaker point on view of a particular
subject. Persuasive speeches contain evidence and facts to keep the speech formal. Two persuasive
speeches are Tom Collins , Eve of Battle, and Martin Luther King s anti war speech, Beyond Vietnam.
Each of these speeches are about war, one speech, Tim Collins urges troops into war, while the other
by Martin Luther King is an anti war speech. Tim Collins war speech is targeted towards Western
soldiers fighting in the Iraq conflict. Martin Luther Kings speech is focused towards people that are
not in the army and who are against war. Tim Collins war speech is more successful than Kings , as it

An emotional appeal is a method of persuasion that s designed to create an emotional response. Martin
Luther King uses a different emotional settings and devices. Martin Luther King uses emotional
appeal to make the audience feel connected and to make them feel as if they can change society. For
example, Martin Luther King opens his speech by directly addressing to the society, It s time for
America to tell the truth. As of the hidden truths of America. Soldiers in the 20th century were sent
into war zones without knowing much of their operation. By repeating truth it engages the audience
into wanting to know the secrets of America and building up in emotion. Martin Luther King creates
emotional setting through evidence and examples of the suffering that both soldiers, women and
children are put through and the devastation caused in the aftermath. Therefore, men and women
should be able to make decisions of their own instead of the government applying pressure on people
into fighting in wars. In contrast to Martin Luther King, Tim Collins uses emotional appeal
immediately at the start of his speech and involves his audience. Tim Collins expressed emotional
appeal in more of a serious matter as of he and his soldiers are heading into war and he does not use
emotional appeal that well, he mainly speaks in a dry voice sounding dramatic. Therefore, Martin

The Dangers Of Corporal Punishment In Schools
If you re over 30 and ever got in trouble in school, you ll be familiar with corporal punishment.
Corporal punishment is a way of dealing with a crime or misdemeanor and it has been around for so
many years even centuries. Back then it was only used in prisons or correctional facilities but in the
late 1800s schools started using it as a way of making the students behave. Not only did it make the
schools reputation look decent but also made the grades a whole lot better than they are now. With this
claim I believe that corporal punishment be reintroduced (Reason 1) This has been occurring in
schools for years, ever since the 2000s, and its only gradually been getting worse. Back then we never
had this problem because of corporal punishment. Having the paddle there indicates the instinct in the
human mind to compel to the rules instead of getting hurt were as without the paddle they always
think that if they get in trouble nothing will happen. This instinct is designed to limit the amount of
pain we will receive so immediately after seeing the paddle it will trigger this response and make them
behave, to take the path of least resistance. It fixes school disciplinary problems and has proven that
the school will have better grades because one of the most times people got paddled was because of
not doing homework. Homework although tedious and hated by most children, the children that do
their homework show better understanding of the topic and are more likely to

Marketing Plan for Redbox Essay
Redbox: Getting Ahead of the Curve
Redbox is a DVD/Blu Ray rental company which utilizes kiosk machines placed in convenient, high
traffic locations. The first Redbox kiosk was opened by McDonald s in 2002. Redbox was later
purchased by Coinstar, Inc., and over the years, Redbox has rented over one billion movies and has
grown to more than 27,000 locations in restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies and convenience stores
nationwide. Redbox proves to be a very unique way to rent DVD s and by the nature of Redbox s
rental process, most businesses would benefit from the increased traffic generated by having a kiosk
machine at their location. This type of relationship proves to be a win win situation for both Redbox
and the businesses which ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Not only does Redbox provide a unique service, they provide it at a low cost at convenient locations.
Most movie rental stores charge $4 5 to rent a new release for approximately 3 days, whereas Redbox
provides a similar service for $1.29 per night. This is extremely cheap considering most consumers
watch their movie rental the same day they rent it. Furthermore, Redbox gets this low cost movie
rental product to the consumer through a channel of distribution historically associated with snack
foods and soda. By providing movie rentals through vending machines called kiosks located at
shopping locations where consumers already go to shop, they have eliminated much of the costs
associated with conventional movie rental stores and the need for consumers to make an additional
stop just to rent a movie. Since Redbox s inception, it has experienced enormous growth and profit,
but they will need to evolve in order to get ahead of the curve.
Although Redbox appears to have established themselves as a formidable competitor to Netflix and
Blockbuster, they are facing a gruesome reality. The take home movie rental business is rapidly losing
ground to online streaming video directly to consumers homes via the internet. Netflix has already
been providing this service for quite some time and both Redbox and Blockbuster are feeling the
pressure. Blockbuster, Inc. has already declared

The Federal Budget Process Essay
Running head: The Federal Budget Process The Federal Budget Process Abstract This report focuses
on the federal budget process of the United States of America. The annual federal budget begins with a
detailed proposal from the President in February. The budget request is developed by the President s
Office of Management and Budget (OMB). Next, Congress creates a blueprint called a budget
resolution that sets limits on how much each committee can spend (or reduce revenues) over the
course of the year. The terms of the budget resolution are then enforced against individual
appropriations, entitlement bills, and tax bills on the House and Senate floors. In addition, Congress
sometimes uses a special procedure called ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Second, the president uses the budget request to lay out his relative priorities for federal programs
(Myers, et al, 1989; Policy Basics, 2011). The President s budget is very specific, and recommends
funding levels for individual federal programs or small groups of programs called budget accounts.
The budget typically sketches out fiscal policy and budget priorities not only for the year but for the
next five years or more. It is also accompanied by historical tables that set our past budget figures
(Policy Basics, 2011 Para 4). The third role that the President s budget plays is that it can be used to
alert Congress of what spending and tax policy changes the President recommends. It is not necessary
for the President to propose legislative changes for those parts of the budget that are governed by
permanent law if he feels none are needed (Policy Basics, 2011). Majority of the federal tax code is set
in permanent law, and will not expire. Similarly, more than one half of federal spending including the
three largest entitlement programs (Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security) is also permanently
enacted. Interest paid on the national debt is also paid automatically, with no need for specific
legislation. (There is, however, a

Mount Everest Formation

Term Paper
GEO 150
February 24, 2016
Introduction
Mount Everest is commonly know as the highest mountain on earth located in Nepal and Tibet in the
Mahalangur mountain range. With a peak of 8,848 meters or 29,029 feet above sea level, Mount
Everest is the location of the international border between China and Nepal neighboring with peaks
such as Lhoste, Nuptse and Changtse.
Rock Descriptions
The rocks that comprise Mount Everst are subdivided into three formations, each separated from one
another by low angle faults or detachments. The three formations consist of sedimentary and
metamorphic rocks and are the Qomolangma Formation, the North Col Formation and the Rongbuk
Formation. The Qomolangma formation is the top peak of the mountain ... Show more content on

The portion of the Qomolangma formation that is between 8,200 to the top of 8,600 is called the
yellow band. The reason it s called the yellow band is because of the Cambrian deposit and marble its
made up of which resembles a yellow pigment. In the North Col formation, mudstone, limestone and
sandstone are imbedded within each other as a result of the metamorphic stage. The base of this
formation is referred to as the Lhoste detachment and is a low angle normal fault. About 24 million
years ago when the Indian and the Asian planes collided, the Indian plane subducted as a result. From
this the Indian plateau was made which thus created the metamorphic and sedimentary rocks. We can
find these rocks faulted towards the south in an upward motion primarily due to the Cenozoic collision
of the two continents. The Many sills and dikes intrude the rocks in this formation as previously
mentioned as the Higher Himalayan leucogranite, which is formed by partial melting of
Paleoproterozoic to Ordovician high grade metasedimentary rocks. This melting inhibited the creation
of the Rongbuk formation by the pressure caused by the collision that forced the rocks into a
downward then back up direction. The heat of the melting under sea level then pushed the rocks to the
surface of the southern

Sushi Retraurant Business Plan Essay
Sample Business Plan
This is a sample business plan that I completed by myself for a Entrepreneur class in my Senior year
of high school. Unlike most students, I was really excited to plan and organize my ideas so my plan
ended up being much longer then expected. All the numbers I used were, for the most part, actual
prices and I spend hours alone just number crunching. It was worth it in the end when I had my final
copy! I apologize in advance for awkward spacing, numbering, and indents. Some things like pictures
and flow charts were lost throughout the transfer from Word.

Basically, I imagined walking into a Subway only to find itamae s rolling sushi and steaming rice. I
believe the idea of having carry out sushi will appeal to many customers. Not only does it alleviate
cravings fast, but it is time efficient for people on their lunch breaks or on the run. By not limiting
Shifuku Sushi to take out, I also am allowing customers to lounge around and enjoy their sushi in a
relaxed environment with WiFi capabilities.
The reasoning behind the location, Pittsburgh, PA, simply serves that my father was raised there and I
knew there was a lack of good Japanese restaurants. The location of 400 Woods Street is perfect
because it is right downtown and has easy access.
1. Summary of Experience
While I have never worked in a sushi restaurant, I do have extensive knowledge on sushi and related
foods. As a sushi fanatic, I usually have sushi at least two times a week and love to explore different
restaurants that serve in varying styles. While the popular rotating sushi bar seems to be quite a hit, I
find that the majority of the food is the common Western Sushi like California Rolls, Salmon Rolls, or
Spicy Shrimp Rolls. The more exotic sushi is hard to come by unless you visit a fancy restaurant. Not
only have I had Western Sushi, but I have indulged in Chirashizushi which is sushi rice with different
foods on top like vegetables and sushi such as Futomaki and Hosomaki. I understand the preparations

Invasive Species Essay
My aquatic invasive species is the water chestnut. Though it is not too common in Indiana waters, it is
on the invasive species list, due to the prediction that it will quickly become a threat. It is an aquatic
plant native to Eurasia. Currently, it is naturalized in North America and Australia. The states that it is
most common in Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, and others on the eastern coast. The water chestnut or
the Trapas Natan is a rosette of floating leaves usually rooted in mud near small marshes, lakes, and
nutrient rich river banks. Its stem can grow up to 15 feet long, and allows movement in mucky
substances. It has small white flower with four petals. The water chestnut plant produces a small, nut

quick growth. The water chestnut was introduced to the area by University botanists that were

Other less successful attempts include using biological insects to control the population and large
scale harvesting. Both of these failed due to the water chestnut replacing itself at an exponential rate.

established within a few days, there is no true method developed to stop the growth of water chestnuts.
My terrestrial invasive species is the mute swan. Other swan species like the trumpeter swan and
tundra swan are protected under the Migratory Bird Species Act, the mute swan is exotic and was
removed from the protected list. However, Indiana has a law against owning or killing a mute swan, so

A Complicated Kindness Literary Analysis
Loss in Real Life vs. in A Complicated Kindness
In many fictitious stories and even in real life, people experience loss of family members, someone
they know, and are brought down from their previous state of happiness. Everyone will most likely
experience some traumatic event where a loved one is gone forever or being isolated from everyone
else. These similar occasions occurred to me in my own life and to a great deal to a character; Nomi
from the novel, A Complicated Kindness by Miriam Toews. It is then realized that the loss of family,
being excommunicated from your community and your people force you to adapt so you can maintain

Rorschach Test And Its Impact On The Field Of Psychology
Abstract
The Rorschach test, used first in 1918, has been the center of much controversy in the field of
psychology. This particular test uses print inkblots in order to test many factors within clients based on
how they answer when asked about the pictures. Although Hermann Rorschach never made it known
where he got the idea for the Rorschach test, it is believed it was inspired by the game Blotto, which
was a game which used inkblots. The Rorschach test was originally used to test patients with
schizophrenia during which Rorschach discovered that these patients responded significantly in a
different way from others without schizophrenia. Later, Rorschach began working more with the test
using forty inkblots in his original studies but only using fifteen of them commonly with his clients.
Today, this test is used by highly trained professionals who are studying personality based on scoring
clients answers to questions about the inkblots. (Framingham, 2016)
History of the Rorschach Test
The Rorschach test, which was first administered in 1918, is one of the most controversial
psychological tests in the history of psychology. This particular test uses print inkblots in order to test

by Herman Rorschach. Although Rorschach never made it known where the inspiration for the

Hitler Became The Leader Of The National Socialist Group,
Hitler became the leader of the National Socialist Group, or Nazis, in 1921. Along with other extreme
nationalists, Hitler was outraged at the Weimar Republic, Germany s government. Hitler s propaganda
included over throwing the democracy, uniting all lands removed from Germany, restoring Germany s
economy which had suffered greatly because of the terms in the Treaty of Versailles, get rid of the
communists, and overthrowing the Treaty of Versailles (Darby). The Treaty of Versailles was the main

Darby believes the collapse of the republic was one of the biggest benefits to Hitler s rise to power.
Since the collapse of Weimar was preventable, the war that followed should be too. Clearly, Hitler s
aggression was not inevitable because many events leading to Hitler s aggression, rise to power, and
WWII were preventable. On the other hand, some believe Hitler s aggression was not preventable
because he gained so much power in such a little time span; there was no stopping him. Darby
reasons, Although the Nazis had been making significant electoral gains in regional elections in the
first half of 1930, no one (not even Hitler) anticipated the surge in support they received in September.
Nearly 6. 5 million votes made the party the second largest in the Reichstag, with 107 seats. With so
many supporters, it was hard to stop Hitler s campaign. If someone in Germany went against him, they
would be going against most Germany s citizens and this could bring result in riots and possibly civil
war. If someone in Europe went against Hitler, it could cause a war between their country/nation and
Germany. World War or Civil War: it seems it must be one or the other. Using the power of the
Chancellor, Hitler pressured the parliament to pass the Enabling Act, which allowed him to ignore the
constitution and gave his decrees the power of the law. He forced the other political

Who Is To Blame For The Tragedy Of The Titanic
The Tragedy of the Titanic

off the boat. After the Titanic sank there was hundreds of people got locked in and some lived and got
rescued while Captain Smith went down with the ship.

Pluck And Pick Research Paper
Pluck or Pick
Someday I ll wish upon a star, wake up where the clouds are far behind me. Where trouble melts like
lemon drops, high above the chimney top, that s where you ll find me. . . are the famous lyrics to
Israel Kamakawiwo ole s ukulele song Over The Rainbow . It was also one the first songs I learned on
the ukulele. On my birthday, senior year of high school, I received this small instrument with just four
strings and the most beautiful sound. Of course, I had no clue on how to play it or where to even
begin; whether to learn off YouTube or take lessons, deciding whether to use a pick or not, and even
how to hold it correctly. I want to point out, while these might seem like silly issues to worry about,
they really are important ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I also have indicated one of those individuals already, Brody Shrader, my friend who gave me lessons.
On the first day of lessons he led me to an assortment of picks and recommended that I should play
with and without a pick and then choose the best way that works for me. I did just that, I had practiced
with and without a pick, and then chose what I had preferred. When I interviewed Brody, I asked him
the question, What is your opinion on the debate of whether to use a pick when playing the ukulele?
He looked at me, kind of gave me a smirk and said I honestly do not know much about this debate but
I think it is silly to be argued over, because it is up to the person themselves. He then begins to explain
how there are different tones; with a pick it will be much louder and amplified sound, while without a
pick it will obviously be more subtle and have a softer sound. He also brings the point up that after
hearing the two different sounds the ukulele can create, the musician can make it what he or she wants
and express themselves in any way they wish. Brody bringing up this point sheds light on the difficult
problem of people not realizing what the bigger issue here is. Yes, many may think that it is not a big
deal to make this decision but really people that are not musicians do not understand that the simple
strum with or without a pick is what brings the sound alive and it adds so much to the music. To create
the music the right way, the musician has to base the decision off of personal

Outside Of House Painting Analysis
It is possible to paint the outside of your house in the winter time. Here are a few things you need to
take into consideration before painting the outside of your house this winter. Look At The Temperature
Your Materials Will Work At The first thing you need to do is look at all the material that you need to
use to paint the outside of your house and determine what temperature the materials work effectively
at. For example, if the outside of your house has already been prepared for paint before the cold
weather struck, only your paint needs to stand up to cold weather. Or, if the outside of the house has
not been prepared yet, you need to make sure that any caulk, fillers and primers you need to use, as
well as the paint, will be able ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, caulking, fillers and primers often need warmer weather to work properly. Be sure to read
the directions on all materials that you purchase carefully. Find Out The Surface Temperature Next,
before you start painting, you need to find out not just what the air temperature will be, you also need
to figure out what the surface temperature of your home is. Often times, the surface temperature of
your home will be cooler than the outside temperature. Just because you have one warm day does not
mean that the outside of your house has had time to warm up. You will need to purchase a tool
specifically designed to measure the surface temperature of objects. You will need to purchase a
thermometer with a probe so you can figure out the surface temperature of your home. You should be
able to find this tool at your local home improvement or building store. Work With The Sun If you
decide the temperature outside is warm enough to paint, you need to start working as soon as the sun
comes up and the weather warms up. You also need to work with the sun. Follow the sun around the
house as you paint; when the sun moves, you need to move as well. Once the temperatures begin the
downward slide, stop

Examples Of Vengeance In Beowulf
While today revenge is regarded as an impolite and impractical practice, in times past it was
normalized, even celebrated. Kazuo Ishiguro s The Buried Giant and the acclaimed Anglo Saxon
poem Beowulf describe vengeance as a ceremonious cornerstone of British, Saxon, Geat, and Danish
society. In these societies partaking in revenge was widely regarded as noble and morally upright,
though from a modern perspective these acts of vengeance would be regarded a petty and unjust.
While characters in both The Buried Giant and Beowulf liberally practice and celebrate revenge,
Ishiguro and Beowulf s Anglo Saxon author seem to critique the medium which their characters
observe.
The idea of vengeance is present throughout the entirety of The Buried Giant: each prominent
character partaking and celebrating their own retaliatory scheme. One notable example of vengeance
within the novel occurs between Axl and Beatrice. As the reader nears the end of the novel they come

In fact, vengeance plays such a pinnacle role in Beowulf that Beowulf himself states, It is always
better / to avenge dear ones than to indulge in mourning (Beowulf, 1384 1385, 37). In an act of
retaliation for the terrorization of Herot, Bowulf seeks out, and eventually murders, Grendel. Grendel
s mother then attacks Herot, in retaliation for the murder of her son. Beowulf then kills Grendel s
mother to avenge those she killed during her conquest of Herot. Hrothgar encourages Beowulf to seek
out vengeance by saying, My household guards / are on wane, fate sweeps them away / into Grendel s
clutches but God can easily / halt these raids and harrowing attacks (Beowulf,476 469, 14). In this
verse Hrothgar suggest that, with God s aide, Beowulf can easily overtake Grendel. After slaying
Grendel, Beowulf s victorious act of vengeance was celebrated with a massive feast at Herot and
rewarded with an invaluable amount of

  • 2. Counterculture Movement Essay John Lennon of the famous rock band, The Beatles, once said, If everyone demanded peace instead of another television set, then there d be peace . This quote essentially defines the 1960s and the counterculture movement in America. After WWII people had much more free time than they did during the war, and many people decided that they wanted to settle down and start a family. This caused a large boom in child birth. The children born during this boom are known as baby boomers . Due to the baby boom between 1945 and 1955, over half the population was under 30 years old (The American Experience 1). During this time in American history, the children of the baby boomer generation started rebelling against the war in Vietnam and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Let It Be, Strawberry Fields Forever, Revolution, and many other songs by the British rock band, The Beatles, helped shape the counterculture movement. Many songs by The Beatles supported the ideas of rebellion, freedom and drug use. The Beatles were the most popular musical group in the 1960s, and they were loved and idolized by many. They are still considered to be one of the greatest, if not the, greatest musical group ever. Although the Beatles were the most popular and influential rock group of the time, eclectic groups and singers of all different genres helped shape the music scene in the 1960s, such as: Bob Dylan, the Beach Boys, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and the Who. Music by all of these artists reflected the new sexual permissiveness and drug trends (The American Experience 2). In 1969, a music festival called Woodstock was put together. It lasted for over three days and around 500,000 people came to listen to the music. Artists like the Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, and Janis Joplin. The majority of the people that attended the festival were hippies. Hippies wore loose clothing, for the most part advocated drug use, and promoted peace and love. Woodstock showcased a moment in time where an entire generation became empowered and realized that they needed to break away from the status quo. Music had a huge influence on the baby boomer generation and the counterculture of the 1960s as a whole. A large part of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Computer Access and Information Storage Executive Summary Computer access and information storage has drastically evolved with the increase of computer usage and internet access across a wide range of areas including homes, businesses, schools and government departments. These changes make requirements for more specific laws to regulate the use of computers and storage of data as well as new forensic techniques and tools to investigate such offences. Following this, computer forensic investigators are becoming a necessity for lawyers and barristers as support in both criminal and civil proceedings. What legislation exists in Ireland to handle computer crime? Ireland does not have exclusive law that would deal with computer crime as such, but has two laws that can handle computer crimes. Criminal Damage Act 1991 (the 1991 Act ) deals with principal offences in section 2 and section 5 while Criminal Justice (Theft and Fraud Offences) Act, 2001 (the 2001 Act ) covers computer related offences in section 9 and section 48. Criminal Damage Act 1991 Section 2 (1) A person who without lawful excuse damages any property belonging to another intending to damage any such property or being reckless as to whether any such property would be damaged shall be guilty of an offence. While section 2 above does not call out specific reference to computer related crime, the definition in the statute regarding property does include offences relating to data. When muscles contract, ATP must be produced to contract the muscles. With any chemical reaction, heat is produced. 5. A. Motor units. • 5. Statement of Teaching Philosophy, and My Experience... Statement of Teaching Philosophy A teacher can never truly teach unless he is still learning himself. A lamp can never light another lamp unless it continues to burn its own flame. The teacher who has come to the end of his subject, who has no living traffic with his knowledge but merely repeats his lesson to his students, can only load their minds, he cannot quicken them. ... Rabindranath Tagore (Nobel prize in literature in 1913) This is my favorite quotation because it express what, I think, is the essence of teaching and learning. Besides helping students learn course content, I think its teachers role to help students develop broader skills that are important in all field and future careers. These skills include verbal and written communication, critical thinking, and consideration of issues from multiple viewpoints. As an assistant professor, I would use several methods to convey clearly principles relevant to the chemistry class I would teach: Demonstration supplemented lectures. In class participation Development of Internet Resources Research papers. Motivation One of most challenging task in teaching is the motivation of students. However, students can be motivated to work hard if they see that professor cares about their success and if they see that he/she sets high standards for him/herself as well as for the students. Poor lecturing, unavailability during office hours, unfulfilled promises of checking the answer to a question, and general sloppiness set the students wondering, not in a good way. Furthermore, motivation is one key factor which brings students in the classroom. This can also be achieved logically by letting them to know the significance of science, how it changes world, how can we have a better future, how can we control fuel crisis, how can we reduce global ... • 6. Hawaiian Mythology Research Paper Hawaiian Mythology has a very long and rich history. One way Hawaiian Mythology is unique is that they communicate their legends, traditions, and myths orally. This limits outsiders from being able to fully grasp the culture. As a result, this aspect of Hawaiian culture creates a special bond and understanding between members of the Hawaiian culture. A significant part of Hawaiian culture is Hawaiian worship. Hawaiian worship is focused on natural occurrences; natural occurrences, or in other words nature myths, such as rainfall, sunshine, or fruitful harvests. Within Hawaiian Mythology, there are four primary Gods: Ku, Kane, Kanaloa, and Lono. Each god represents a specific natural phenomena or natural occurrence. While worshipping Ku the Hawaiians would offer the God of war, seizer of all land, human sacrifices. Kane is the God of life and presides over all of the other primary gods. Kane is often referred to as the creator of Hawaiian mythology. Kane is elevated over the others because he became self aware and separated himself from Po, the chaos of formless creation. Kane s ability to become self aware enabled other gods, such as Ku and Lono, to escape Po. Once all three gods escaped Po, they created Earth, or in other words, the Hawaiian islands. When regarding our schools history, specifically with World War I, we saw an entire senior class drop out, and we fly 55 flags at every home football game to remember those who never came back to this great school. Wells is no different than the rest of the world. There were many events and people in his adolescent life that inspired him to become a very successful, wealthy writer. More importantly, they inspired him to write his first, most successful novel, The Time Machine. His novel, The Time Machine, was written under the influence of his unique childhood that sparked his interest in literature, his family and social standing that strongly affected the foundation of his work, and from his fascination for science and the ideas of successful scientists. Most of the time, a person gets most inspiration from a person close to them, more specifically a loved one. H.G. Wells was no different. The influence from Wells s mother and father, as well as his upbringing, is undoubtedly present throughout The Time Machine. He was born in the Victorian era where the common folks barely made enough money to survive, and the upper class flourished with more money than anyone could ever imagine. The Wells family happened to fall into the struggling middle class. His mother was a housekeeper, and his father was a poor businessman. His influence from the continuous class struggle is evident in his novel, especially through his characters. H.G. Wells s family and social life had a very big impact on his novel The Time Machine. His entire life he struggled with his social class. He portrays much of that struggle into his novel. A reader can sense his struggle when reading The Time Machine because it is clear that Wells mocks the rich, upper class in his work. His feelings towards the future societies are very evident in his main character, the Time Traveler. The Time Traveler was a very smart, intellectual upper class man. In the novel, he predicts two futures for society. Though in the story, the societies are presented as the Time Traveler s predictions, they are in fact H.G.Wells s idea of evolution of the social classes. He predicted that the rich would evolve into wonderful, intricate creatures, while the poor would deteriorate ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The financial success of Southwest has received a large amount of free publicity that has certainly helped to create an image of an airline to be trusted and used by many passengers. They had 31 years of continuous profitability. Lot of airlines came and tried to copy southwest model but almost 97% of the startups failed. Southwest s competitive advantage in providing low cost is of the primary reasons which their competitors couldn t match. The airline has the lowest costs on a per mile basis among all the major airlines as they used single aircraft type and the highly efficient, high frequency ad point to point route scheme. Due to this commoditization of the industry, passenger profiles have changed with business and first class seat demand in great decline. This correlates perfectly with Southwest s position of no assigned seats or class designations. Competing companies have been forced to introduce low fare options in attempts to regain lost market share from low priced air carriers. Because Southwest s strategy has always been low cost, and standardized travel, they have not had to change strategy. This has saved them what could amount to millions on restructuring costs. Also, some of the competitors tried to increase no of flights which resulted in operational ineffectiveness ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. Susan Sontag s Notes On Camp It is important to first be aware of the concrete definitions of low culture, as defined by Susan Sontag in her Notes on Camp (1964) Low culture is a derogatory term for popular culture and working class culture A direct opposite to this is high culture, often favoured by the elite. In which Sontag recognises that both high culture and low culture are minority cultures. The combined influences of both strains constitute mainstream culture . Before looking at what low culture Pope drew upon to produce his own high art it is important to understand the context of Pope s writing and what was going on in regards to Literary History of that time period. The English Neo Classical Movement dominated English Literature from the Restoration (1660) to the lyrical ballads of 1798,1800 and 1802. It is conventionally divided into three parts. These being the Restoration Age (1600 1700) where figures such as John Milton and John Dryden were renowned. The Augustan Age (1700 1750) where Alexander Pope himself was a central poetic figure and The Age of Johnson (1750 1798). The primary focus is of course the Augustan Age, where Pope s work is prevalent. The Eighteenth century brought a new war of words, with a quarrel in 1690 s France in L Académie Française, putting in to place a new historical sense of culture across Europe. The ideology is that classical authors and learning could not be improved upon or surpassed by modern writers, instead they should look to imitate the great ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 13. The Impact Of Technology On Education On a daily basis, both businesses and individuals rely on technology. It cannot be denied that technology has become part of our everyday life. As individuals, we all depend on technology, either for education, health purposes, transportation, communication, romantic relationships, and/or business growth . It is impossible to explore how each advancement in technology has impacted our lives as well as how it will impact the future, but we can briefly explore the major advancements. (2 marks) ANSWER: When working on a heart in vivo there is the action of both parasympathetic, sympathetic stimulation as well as hormonal control. In a live animal, the heart will continually be indirectly stimulated by nerve impulses that increase or decrease heart rate based on bodily activity. There is an absence of those factors in an isolated heart preparation, thus the heart rate will solely be determined by the sinoatrial node and the external stimuli administered. Activity 3: Examining the Effect of Temperature on Heart Rate Results: Provide the heart rate values recorded when the heart was bathed with Ringer s solution of different temperatures. (2 ... I feel it would take a few weeks to get this plan implemented only because it would be a change for hospital staff and we all know at time that changes take time to get them going and all staff following new procedures. Staff would have to take the extra few minutes to explain why a medication is being given. But, on the other hand they would only have to explain it once not every single time a dose was given and the patient would have a record of the medication they are taking. The personnel involved in my plan would be the hospital pharmacist or IT department to send down or make available to nursing staff handouts or database available to access on each medication that is being administered to each patient while being hospitalized. Expectations and Obstacles My expectations from implementing this action would be that more patients are aware of why a medication is being administered to them and what reactions could possibly happen. In addition I feel that doing so would help element medication distribution errors. The printing of medications being administered would have an increase on the budget due to the paper cost and ink as well as time of staff. Some obstacles that I feel may occur is that with the shortage of hospital staff is that they would not want to take the extra time to explain to each and every patient why they are being given a certain medication. Martin Luther King uses emotional appeal to make the audience feel connected and to make them feel as if they can change society. For example, Martin Luther King opens his speech by directly addressing to the society, It s time for America to tell the truth. As of the hidden truths of America. Soldiers in the 20th century were sent into war zones without knowing much of their operation. By repeating truth it engages the audience into wanting to know the secrets of America and building up in emotion. Corporal punishment is a way of dealing with a crime or misdemeanor and it has been around for so many years even centuries. Back then it was only used in prisons or correctional facilities but in the late 1800s schools started using it as a way of making the students behave. Not only did it make the schools reputation look decent but also made the grades a whole lot better than they are now. With this claim I believe that corporal punishment be reintroduced (Reason 1) This has been occurring in schools for years, ever since the 2000s, and its only gradually been getting worse. Back then we never had this problem because of corporal punishment. Having the paddle there indicates the instinct in the human mind to compel to the rules instead of getting hurt were as without the paddle they always think that if they get in trouble nothing will happen. This instinct is designed to limit the amount of pain we will receive so immediately after seeing the paddle it will trigger this response and make them behave, to take the path of least resistance. The Federal Budget Process Essay Running head: The Federal Budget Process The Federal Budget Process Abstract This report focuses on the federal budget process of the United States of America. The annual federal budget begins with a detailed proposal from the President in February. The budget request is developed by the President s Office of Management and Budget (OMB). Next, Congress creates a blueprint called a budget resolution that sets limits on how much each committee can spend (or reduce revenues) over the course of the year. The terms of the budget resolution are then enforced against individual appropriations, entitlement bills, and tax bills on the House and Senate floors. The budget typically sketches out fiscal policy and budget priorities not only for the year but for the next five years or more. It is also accompanied by historical tables that set our past budget figures (Policy Basics, 2011 Para 4). The third role that the President s budget plays is that it can be used to alert Congress of what spending and tax policy changes the President recommends. It is not necessary for the President to propose legislative changes for those parts of the budget that are governed by permanent law if he feels none are needed (Policy Basics, 2011). Majority of the federal tax code is set in permanent law, and will not expire. Similarly, more than one half of federal spending including the three largest entitlement programs (Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security) is also permanently enacted. • 34. Outside Of House Painting Analysis It is possible to paint the outside of your house in the winter time. Here are a few things you need to take into consideration before painting the outside of your house this winter. Look At The Temperature Your Materials Will Work At The first thing you need to do is look at all the material that you need to use to paint the outside of your house and determine what temperature the materials work effectively at. For example, if the outside of your house has already been prepared for paint before the cold weather struck, only your paint needs to stand up to cold weather. Or, if the outside of the house has not been prepared yet, you need to make sure that any caulk, fillers and primers you need to use, as well as the paint, will be able ... Be sure to read the directions on all materials that you purchase carefully. Find Out The Surface Temperature Next, before you start painting, you need to find out not just what the air temperature will be, you also need to figure out what the surface temperature of your home is. Often times, the surface temperature of your home will be cooler than the outside temperature. Just because you have one warm day does not mean that the outside of your house has had time to warm up. You will need to purchase a tool specifically designed to measure the surface temperature of objects. You will need to purchase a thermometer with a probe so you can figure out the surface temperature of your home. You should be able to find this tool at your local home improvement or building store. Work With The Sun If you decide the temperature outside is warm enough to paint, you need to start working as soon as the sun comes up and the weather warms up. You also need to work with the sun. Follow the sun around the house as you paint; when the sun moves, you need to move as well. Once the temperatures begin the downward slide, stop ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Kazuo Ishiguro s The Buried Giant and the acclaimed Anglo Saxon poem Beowulf describe vengeance as a ceremonious cornerstone of British, Saxon, Geat, and Danish society. In these societies partaking in revenge was widely regarded as noble and morally upright, though from a modern perspective these acts of vengeance would be regarded a petty and unjust. While characters in both The Buried Giant and Beowulf liberally practice and celebrate revenge, Ishiguro and Beowulf s Anglo Saxon author seem to critique the medium which their characters observe. The idea of vengeance is present throughout the entirety of The Buried Giant: each prominent character partaking and celebrating their own retaliatory scheme. One notable example of vengeance within the novel occurs between Axl and Beatrice. As the reader nears the end of the novel they come to learn ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In an act of retaliation for the terrorization of Herot, Bowulf seeks out, and eventually murders, Grendel. Grendel s mother then attacks Herot, in retaliation for the murder of her son. Beowulf then kills Grendel s mother to avenge those she killed during her conquest of Herot. Hrothgar encourages Beowulf to seek out vengeance by saying, My household guards / are on wane, fate sweeps them away / into Grendel s clutches but God can easily / halt these raids and harrowing attacks (Beowulf,476 469, 14). In this verse Hrothgar suggest that, with God s aide, Beowulf can easily overtake Grendel.
