Marbury Vs Madison Essay
Crafting an essay on the subject of Marbury vs. Madison requires a meticulous examination of
historical events, legal doctrines, and their implications. This landmark case, integral to American
constitutional law, demands a comprehensive understanding of the intricate details surrounding
it. Exploring the circumstances leading to the case, the arguments presented by both parties, and
the far-reaching consequences of Chief Justice John Marshall's decision involves delving into
complex legal concepts and historical contexts.
The essay must carefully navigate through the intricacies of judicial review, examining the
balance of powers between the branches of government. Analyzing the precedents set by the
Marbury vs. Madison decision and its enduring impact on the American legal system adds
another layer of complexity. Moreover, discussing scholarly interpretations and debates
surrounding the case requires a nuanced understanding of legal philosophy and constitutional
theory.
The challenge lies not only in presenting a coherent and well-argued analysis but also in
capturing the significance of Marbury vs. Madison in shaping the foundation of American
jurisprudence. The writer must demonstrate a keen awareness of the broader historical and
political context in which the case unfolded and be able to articulate the implications for the
future of the United States' legal and political landscape.
In conclusion, writing an essay on Marbury vs. Madison demands a deep dive into legal
intricacies, historical details, and philosophical considerations. It is a task that requires careful
research, critical thinking, and a nuanced understanding of constitutional principles. However,
for those seeking assistance, there are resources available, such asHelpWriting.net, where
similar essays and more can be ordered to aid in the exploration of complex legal topics.

Identity vs. Role Confusion Essay
In today s Western society, self identity and social roles are important dimensions
that are at times challenging to face. Social roles have always been a fundamental
part of society and yet as time goes on, it seems to be increasingly difficult to
understand. As discussed in class, in the medieval period, people were assigned roles
based on family status. In modern days, however, societal roles have expanded and
opportunities are endless, which raises the question: Is there more uncertainty about
identityin modern society? In entering adolescence, people heavily contemplate their
ego identity. In the early 1900s, theorist Erik Eriksonbelieved in eight stages of ego
development from birth to death. For the purpose of this paper I have... Show more

Exploring different aspects of yourself in the different areas of life has never been
so pertinent. As previously mentioned, there has undoubtedly been a shift of roles
when comparing the past to the present. Traditionally speaking, men and women s
roles have been that of providers and nurturers respectively. Although through time,
these traditional mentalities have transformed, allowing for more possibilities.
Even though men s roles have altered, women have emancipated themselves from a
very narrow view of appropriate social norms and can now enjoy the freedom to
choose from an array of roles. The quest for self identity is very significant in this
time of my life, which is the reason I have chosen this topic for my project. I am a
definite opportunist and I seize every occasion if the possibility of learning something
new arises. Although it is very exciting to experience moratorium, it is also at times
stressful and daunting having to continuously explore different roles and
opportunities. Along with my peers, I am attempting to resolve many existential
dilemmas such as What career path should I follow? or What roles apply to me?
These questions give rise to the feeling of identity uncertainty and role confusion.
Coming from an art background, I felt most comfortable expressing myself through
sketch. Therefore, I chose to convey my internal struggles through a drawing of a
ballerina who is surrounded by my inner thoughts. The
Athletic Trainers Role In Athletic Training
Athletic trainers in today s sports world receive pressure everyday when it comes to
deciding when to return an athlete to play. Athletic trainers have such a big
responsibility when it comes to the health and care of the athletes that they work
with. Trainers are the first person that an athlete will see when they become injured
during a game, and in most cases when the athlete performs rehab. The athlete
depends on the athletic trainerto diagnose his or her injury, and then help him or her
recovery to pre injury health. With this responsibility also comes consequence. If an
athletic trainer returns an athlete before he or she is ready, and that athlete were to
get reinjured due to not being fully recovered, the athletic trainer is liable... Show

This is especially the case if the game is in progress in the athlete has an important
role. Each athlete that comes off the field or court after being hit in the head must go
through a cognitive test called a Standardized Assessment of Concussion (SAC). This
test is used immediately after the head trauma to test the athlete on their Strength,
Memory, Coordination, Concentration, and Physical Movements. The SAC only
takes approximately 5 to 7 minutes to administer (Straus). The problem that athletic
trainers face with testing an athlete after a head impact is dealing with the coach.
When an athlete is required to perform a 5 to 7 minute test in the middle of a game
when the coach needs them, can cause the coach to get very aggravated and be right
in the ear of the trainer. It can put stress and pressure on the trainer, which could then
cause them to make an error during the testing of the athlete. SAC has value in
helping sports medicine professionals in detecting and quantifying acute cognitive
impairment on the sports sideline, particularly in identifying concussions in the 90
to 95% of cases (Straus). If a coach distracts the trainer from performing the best
SAC test for an athlete that percentage is going to drop, and the trainer could miss
evaluate the athlete. This could place the athlete at risk if they are allowed to return
to play too soon, and make the athletic trainer liable if that athlete gets seriously
injured. Sideline evaluations can be a big factor on the pressure that athletic trainers

Ocular Tuberculosis
Tuberculosis or TB is a widespread, infectious disease caused by different strains of
mycobacteria, usually Mycobacterium tuberculosis (other species: bovis, africanum,
and microt). It normally affects the lungs but can also spread to other parts of the
body. Ocular Tuberculosis refers to the condition when the infection spreads to any
part of the eye (or around the eye); this is a relatively rare occurrence.
Extraocular TB is the infection of the external eye; it is quite rare and relatively easy
to diagnose as biopsies can be done to test for the infection. Intraocular TB, the more
common form of Ocular Tuberculosis is much more difficult to diagnose. Posterior
uveitis or choroiditis, involving the inflammation of the choroid, is the most common
presentation of intraocular Tuberculosis.

PCR or Polymerase Chain Reaction is a Nucleic acid amplification test or NAAT
that can be used to diagnose Ocular TB by detecting nucleotide sequences unique to
the bacterium being tested for (e.g. Mycobacterium tuberculosis). PCR amplifies the
signal from the small amount of bacilli present to make it easier to confirm the
presence of TB mycobacteria with the small volumes of ocular fluid that can be
obtained.
Treatment
When the presence of the TB bacilli is confirmed and ocular tuberculosis is
diagnosed treatment is usually started immediately. Treatment normally lasts at least
6 months and can sometimes take up to 2 years. Treatment for ocular tuberculosis is
the same as for pulmonary tuberculosis: usually four drug therapy (isoniazid,
rifampicin, ethambutol and
Racial And Ethnic Diversity In Public Schools
One of the largest debates in today s society is what type of school is more
beneficial when developing an elementary student s learning abilities. Many people
say that private schools cater to their needs better, however others believe public
schools are better equipped. The diversity at public schools allows for social
growth, they have a more structured learning criteria, and a more strict policy on
discipline that helps teachers improve behavior. Elementary students are at the most
vital part of their mental development, determining the proper school for young
children to attend is a crucial part of that growth. One of the greatest concerns with
public schools is that the numbers are far too large, parents fear their child will get
lost or overlooked. However, there are several benefits to placing children in larger
communities with many different types of people. A study done in 1997 by the
National Center for EducationStatistics showed that Racial and ethnic diversity can
enrich the school experiences of students (Findings from the Condition of Education
1997, p. 9). The benefit of public schools is rooted largely in the social growth that
can and does take place in them. Racial and ethnic diversity is not only important in
exposing children to different cultures, but such environments counter potential
racism that is brought on by cultural isolation. Ethnic diversity, more often than not,
goes hand in hand with intellectual diversity due to the fact that
The Internet And The Renaissance Age
The Renaissance age started in Italy, specifically in Florence. The economy started to
change during the 13th hundred: trade, commerce and banking grew. The Internet, on
the other hand, was invented in 1969 by a man called J.C.R Licklider. Changes
Internet did to our economy are basically employment, payments and time value.
Since the world began, history has repeated itself in extraordinary and also horrible
ways. A positive example of this is the growth and improvements in both the
Renaissanceculture and the Internet made to the global economy.
During Renaissance, italian cities became more productive and a developed creative
thinking. Urban areas were commercialised and also the price of commodities were
fixed. The italian culture was prospered and the foreign exchange market, insurance,
stock companies, international banking and government debt were developed. The
northern part of the country acted as the main trade point for silk, wool, silver, cloth,
spices and armour. Venicewas mostly known for book printing, which made that city
very important.
Commerce was not enough to improve wealth. Therefore some merchants also
became bankers. All banks became very important and they created a network in the
middle ages that served to pay for massive people such as princes. The ... Show more

ideas to improve the environment around them and that people have accepted

repeating even, if it s bad or great. History is meant to be wrote down so people
will keep reading and reading till humanity ends. The internet will get repeated with
something else and then that other thing will get repeated too because we will keep
moving even though if we make mistakes or do a great thing. You never know what

I Don t Believe Youths Should Be Jail For Having...
I don t believe youths should be jail for having consensual sex .Example ,I know of
an individual who had a daughter her age Sixteen years old was dating a seventeen
year old boy ,the parents did not approved the relationship ,but these two seem in
love ,as soon as the boy turned eighteen her mother had him arrested and charged for
having sex with her daughter ,that ruined the young man life, because that stigma as
a sex offender, would prevent him from having opportunities in his life ,such as
decent jobs. In 2007, Florida created a law known as Romeo and Juliet law, to
address issues such as high school youth being labeled as sexual offenders or
sexual predictors, as a result of participating in consensual sexual relationship.
Reason being these stigma, can have long term consequences, which can affect the
offenders, ability to attend his or her child s school functions, and where the
offender can live.(Florida Senate ,2011). Several states have also participated in
the Romeo and Juliet Law this law intention is to protect young sexual offenders
who are close in age to their victims and engage in consensual sex ,from registering
as sexual offenders. However Florida, have done this using a motion or petition
process for registration relief, some have provided age gap provisions. Some states
has legalize certain sexual condition between minors, and /or those close in age to
avoid not only registration requirement but to avoid but the criminal charge previously
Importance Of Sportsmanship In Sports
The two things that most attract me to Wellesley are the Chandler Pool and the Lulu
Campus Center.
Sportsmanship is one of my defining characteristics. Having been swimming for the
past three years, the eight lane professional Chandler Pool at Wellesley attracts me
deeply. Swimming has both strengthened my perseverance and given me the spirit of
collaboration and sportsmanship. I enjoy the feeling of racing in the water, pushing
myself to the finish line. Swimming has given my body power, developed my deep
thinking skills, and, most importantly, made me into a leader. As the captain of the
swimming team at my high school, I have had tough moments leading the team,
because most of my teammates are more senior than I and I am also an international
student. But a loud voice without any action won t win over team members. I
changed the situation by working harder and improving my communication skills. I
practice longer hours than any other team member., and became the fastest one in
the team, although I am not the most physically fit. I volunteered to swim the 500
yards freestyle and fought for my team to make the state meet. I constantly practice
my communication skills and improve my English. Instead of giving direct orders
to team members, I help and care for my team members. During my two week
medical leave, although my doctor advised me to stay at home and rest, I went to the
swimming pool, helping the coach keep time, cheering for my team and handing them
water and towels.
Trolling In Social Media
The media industry is constantly growing and converging through every American
household, so does the number of online trolls. Trolling is a behavior within the
internet that is considered a form of bullying and harassment. This behavior can be
seen all over the social media sites such as Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and
anywhere a comment can be left. These trolls leave negative or cruel comments to
aggravate a person for a response in hopes it will escalate. Some instances they will
escalate to the point a person will fear for their life due to the threating comments.
For example, Caroline Criado Perez, a feminist campaigner from the UK, was
viciously trolled for successfully campaigning women to be on England notes.
Online the trolls were sending her rape and death threats, also posting what they
thought was her address. Trolling has become an epidemic that should be monitored
because as Americans we have rights, it has a damaging effect on society, and it will
force society to conform.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Most of the trolling done online stems from people having their own opinion and
ideas. When someone posts a video, a picture, or a post that is even a little
controversial, others will start posting there take on it. Eventually it turns into a
nasty argument and the trollers begin there trolling instead of having an adult
debate. The definition of arguing is an exchange regarding opposite views done in
a hostile manner. Arguing is not an effective way to express points of view. On the
other hand, debating is the smarter way to state one views. When one debates they
are expressing their views and beliefs in a formal manner. Society knows the
difference between but believes both are acceptable because of the trolling that is
allowed online. If the comments on line were removed it would force society to had
controversial situations
Bentham Vs Kant
This paper offers an analysis of Immanuel Kant and Jeremy Bentham in order to
argue that both of their moral theories are two different ethical principles.
Nevertheless, many of their reasonings are applied in moral debates and are relevant
in today s society. Both of these philosophers brought back moral philosophyand
provided different approaches on how an individual should follow moral principles.
In the first part of this essay, I will analysis Kant s moral philosophy, such as context
of right and wrong, the meaning of the text, and provide evidence that these
principles is applied in today s moral debate. Then, I will discuss Bentham s moral
philosophy using the same steps of analysis. The Fundamental Principles of the
Metaphysics of Morals by Immanuel Kant(1724 1804) believes in the reasonable and
free compliance of one s will to follow and abide by the moral law. This position
provides an ethical foundation for what is recognized as morality. For Kant, the moral
value of an act is not determined from its expected consequences, but from the
representation of law itself.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A simple way to define the difference is that hypothetical imperatives dictate if you
want this, then you ought to do this. The goals are based on self interest. On the other
hand, categorical imperatives are unconditional and mandate that we recognize there
is only one true imperative; always take the moral ground. According to Kant, moral
truths are not received from on high through divine revelation or inspiration. Rather,
they are based on reasons that make sense to all people who bother to think about
Unification of Germany Essay
From the 19th to 20th century nations were uniting behind the belief of
nationalism; the belief that their loyalty was owed to the nation as a whole. This
loyalty was believed to be owed to a nation of people who share a common history
and language as its core. Due to the growing want for true self government in
Europe, people began calling for unity. Once these nations were created,
governments wanted their country to be the strongest and most powerful. A
growing sense of pride by the people that their nation was the greatest led to wars to
prove who truly had the better military. This sense of unity brought to many a
purpose for their personal identity. Loyalty to one s nation was a core belief of
nationalism and allowed for many to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of the notable leaders for Germany s unification was Wilhem I the King of
Prussia. Wilhem succeeded Frederick William in 1861. His support came widely
from middle class conservatives and wealthy landowners also called the Junkers or
nobility. The Junkers opposed the revolutionary liberals. Wilhem s proposals as
king were he wanted an increase in military strength and size. However at the time
Parliament the legal body of Prussia would not give in to his demands and refused
to give the king any money. This pushed Wilhem to appoint a new Prime Minister in
order to achieve his wish for of a bigger military. The most well know figure behind
the German unification was Otto von Bismarck or the Iron Chancellor a conservative
Junker. Bismarck was appointed as Wilhem s Prime Minister in 1862. Bismarck
believed in the idea of politics of reality or Realpolitik or a foreign policy based on
calculations of power and national interest ( Kassner 3).
Between 1864 and 1866 an alliance was forged between Austria and Prussia. After
unifying their alliance they declared war against Denmark in hopes of conquering
the border provinces of Holstein and Schleswig. To the victors goes the spoils and
Prussia who provided much of the military support governed over Schleswig,
Holstein and its ally Austria. Bismarck declared this war to get Austria out of
Germany. He declared that: The position of Prussia in

businesses want to see a degree or a diploma to even consider you for a job.
However, there are many advantages of attending college. The advantages of
attending college is never ending but can include incessant opportunities. One
advantage of attending college is the opportunity to attend and experience a higher
level of an education. College isn t just a general place that teaches the general basics

Much of the calendar still reflects the old pagan customs, with later Christian
traditions also having significant influence. In Ireland, Christmas has multiple
traditions and some aren t connected to Christianity in any way at all, but reflect
even older cultural and religious practices. To many of the Irish, St Stephen is
believed to be the first Christian martyr. Around the year 33 CE he was stoned to
death. He was hiding from his enemies when a wren gave him away. Another
legend has it that Vikings raided Ireland on St Stephen s day. Soldiers were
moving in toward the Viking camp to drive them out, but a wren started eating
crumbs from a drum and alerted the Vikings of the presence of the Irish soldiers.
Some people believed that it was the wrens that betrayed them and should be
stoned to death, just as St Stephen was. Boys would go out hunting for wren and
throwing stones at them. They also would tie the dead bird to a stick and parade
around with it. They did this in attempt to get money so the entire village could
celebrate. Though the tradition of killing wrens on Stephen s day died out in the
1900 s, St Stephen s Day is still known as the Day of the Wren, mainly in rural areas.
St Stephen s Day has been a holiday in Ireland for hundreds of years. It became a
public holiday following the Bank Holidays Act
The Sexual Aspect Of American Beauty
A minority of critics and movie analysts have attempted to pick at the sexual aspect
of American Beauty in hopes of uncovering a hidden meaning instead they are simply
over reaching. American Beauty is a satire that aims to shed some much needed light
on the hidden world that lives in the American suburban setting. Successfully
accomplished by Mendes through the exposure of certain topics and sexuality
undoubtably being one of them. Ricky s father Colonel Frank Fitts a military man
who brings his military world of discipline and order to the management of his family
is ironically a homophobe. The ironyis displayed at the last scene of the movie where
its revealed that the colonel himself is a homosexual man when he kisses Lester.
Likewise Lester and Jane s friend Angela s relationship is created upon aesthetic
desire from both parties; the sexual half part of the relationship never comes to life
but the relationship stirs much controversy nonetheless. Both examples provide room
for the minority argument although these examples only play a part in the mocking
and exposure of the hidden scandals that occur within the suburban setting and
neither make it to the final message that Mendes want his viewers to walk away with.
Critics believe these sexual interactions and relationships should be mentioned and
stamped with a negative connotation especially that of Lester and Angela since Only
2 of the 492 critics used the word pedophilia in their assessments of American Beauty
Modern Judaism And Traditional Judaism Essay
There are a fair amount of differences between modern and traditional Judaism. As
this is the case it is only natural that many well known people in all walks of life
can be considered modern Jews. This distinction is very important because as more
famous people practice a more modern Jewish culture and lifestyle, more of the
younger generations of the world quickly follow suit. Not only is modern Judaism
accommodating towards modern scholarship, science, culture and a general
modernity of the world, it goes as far as even welcoming it. This is because
modern Judaism takes a fairly inclusive stance towards all that modern society has
to offer and provide. (Waxman, 1993) In modern Judaism, interaction with
different culture and knowledge is encouraged, not for the sake of facilitating the
Torah as it is in the traditional Judaism but for the sake of the person, as this
outside knowledge is seen to be part of a larger truth. (Elias, 1960) With these
general distinctions between traditional and modern Judaism, it is easy to find
examples of people in popular culture who fit into the classification. One person
who could be argued to be a good example of a modern Jew someone who takes
part in life outside of Jewish culture and welcomes with open arms modernity is
Woody Allen. As an 80 year old man, Allen has had to struggle with the shift from
traditional to modern Judaism and create a mixture (or lack thereof) that works for
him. As an individual tying his whole life to
Technology And Law Enforcement Agencies
Both private and public law enforcement agencies use technologies to help them
prevent, deter, investigate, and imprison criminals. Technologies have helped law
enforcement agencies to reduce crime rates within their assigned sector. Without
technologies, crime rate won t be as low as it is now. All criminals have one similar
fear, and that is getting caught and imprison by law enforcementofficers.
FUTURETech are technologies that law enforcement agencies use nowadays to assist
them in fighting crime. As time goes by and the criminals become smarter by finding
ways to not get caught by law enforcement technologies, so as law enforcement

Causes And Treatment Of Liver Fibrosis
Liver fibrosis is the typical end stage, pathological process that follows chronic
hepatitis C(CHC)viral infection or other disorders of the liver.[1] Fibrosis is a
dynamic scarring process in which chronic inflammation stimulates production and
accumulation of collagen and extracellular matrix proteins as described in other
articles. [1, 2] Over time patients with CHC viral infection experience a remodelling
of the total collagen content. This progressive remodelling causes liverfibrosis, which
can lead to liver cirrhosis.[3 5]
Hepatic fibrosis and cirrhosis are potentially reversible with timely intervention. [1]
To achieve the best possible outcome, treatment must be initiated in the early stages
of liver fibrosis.[1] Another benefit of timely treatment of fibrosis and cirrhosis is the
prevention of hepato cellular carcinoma.[3, 6] Additionally, in patients with chronic
hepatitis C,anti viral treatment is indicated with severe fibrosis. [3, 6]Therefore,
clinicians must serially monitor the level and severity of fibrotic tissue, to ensure
timely treatment and to determine the patient s risk of liver related morbidity,
mortality and hepatic comorbidities, for example, portal hypertension or hepatic
carcinoma.[7 10]
Current methods used to monitor Hepatic Fibrosis and Cirrhosis available at
Fremantle Hospital.
The liver biopsy remains the gold standard to determine the necro inflammation
(grading) and fibrotic tissue (staging) components of liver fibrosis severity.[9,

it to help stay alive, but also to increase his popularity with the Indians to win over

Indians. At one point, Cabeza De Vaca stated that:
And during that time I fared very badly, both from great hunger and from the ill
treatment I received from the Indians, which was so bad that I had to flee three
times from the masters I had, and they each went looking for me, endeavoring to kill
me. And God our Lord, with His mercy, wished to protect me and save me from
them. (Vaca, 46)
Cabeza De Vaca, winning favor, used his religious views in order to get some of
the Indians to treat him kindly. He used his cross and a prayer to heal Indians of

whom we were very well received, and they brought us their sick, who on having

Benefits Of Chickweed
Internal: Chickweed cleanses the kidneys and urinary tract. Like dandelions,
chickweed has the unique ability to remove fluids from the body without depleting
potassium levels like pharmaceuticals. Chickweed juice can help prevent leaky gut
by coating the stomach and digestive tract. I like to use a combination of chickweed
and marshmallow to lubricate the entire digestive system and repair any leaky gut

It s often an uphill fight. The ego driven culture of basketball, and society in
general, militates against cultivating this kind of selfless action, even for members
of a team whose success as individuals in tied directly to the group performance. Our
society places such a high premium on individual achievement, it s easy for players
to get blinded by their own self importance and lose a sense of interconnectedness, the
essence of teamwork.
In this passage Jackson incorporates some very important fundamental Buddhist
ideas. One of the aspects of the Eightfold Path, or the Middle Way , which Buddha
said was the cure of suffering, Right Thought is the basis of this statement. In the
introductive book Buddhism Catherine Hewitt spends three pages (4 6) discussing

Research Paper On The Book Of Enoch
The three books of Enoch are commonly called 1 Enoch, 2 Enoch, and 3 Enoch.
Even though they are independent of one another they share many common
characteristics. This essay will compare 1 Enoch and 2 Enoch to one another. The
Book of Enoch is an ancient Jewish religious work written about the Enoch, who is
the great grandfather of Noah. Today s scholars estimate that Enoch was written
around 300 BC, and the earliest works to be around the first century BC. It is not
part of the biblical canon by the Jewish religion. It is canonical of the Beta Israel
religion. Most Christian denominations accept the Books of Enoch as having some
significance, but they are generally regarded as non canonical. Some Christian

Plum Garden At Kameido Analysis
The Plum Garden at Kameido, is a woodblock print that focuses on the branch of a
plum tree with a background consisting of varying washes of color. A reddish pink
sky gradually fades into white, in turn transferring once more into the green hue of
the ground. The middle ground of the piece shows twelve people on the other side
of a fence and it appears as if they are going about their daily business. The middle
ground also possesses several other plum trees, all of which seem in the beginnings
of their bloom. Closest to the viewer, the focal point of the piece, stands the main
Plum treewith its branches swinging from the left at sharp angles and moving to the
right. Although most of the shapes appear flat, with limited shadows, the estate
contains greater depth through an incorporation of proper scale, perspective, and
overlapping qualities. Near the top of the piece small green and red rectangles add to
the design, their locations in the upper right and lower left corners playing upon one
another in a pleasing manner. The scroll like shapes contain Japanese script, said to
contain the artist s name and other information.

the most highly acclaimed trees in China. This idea made its way to Japan and
symbolized early spring, while the cherry blossom found association with late

Preferred Provider Organization Case Study
There are currently have two main insurance options available for consumers, Health
Maintenance Organization (HMO) and Preferred Provider Organization (PPO). Both
health insurance plans are great, but we will be focusing on the plan with lower
costs in general which is Health Maintenance Insurance, or HMO. HMO is an
organized system of health care that offers medical services to its members on a
prepaid foundation. It combines health insuranceand delivery functions in an effort
to keep low costs and maximize the quality care provided. There are several types of
HMOs that are available: staff model, group model, network model and individual
practice association, or IPA. For the staff model, physicians are salaried and have

Personal Values In Life
Module Two: Assignment Two Throughout your life, you began to realize the
importance of many things that help you distinguish between right and wrong.
Also, values can be learned or established from society, family, friends, and
personal experience. Values guide the path you live. Personal Values are the internal
rudder by which you steer your life (Harley McClaskey, 2017, p.23). There are
many values that individuals have, but here are five of my personal values: religion,
honesty, family, teamwork, and happiness. So, therefore, you learn your values
through what is important to the way you guide your life.
Religion
While as a child, my mother took my family to church to learn and grow through
the word of God. As we grew older, we were told to walk our daily life obediently
towards the rules set by our Lord. Being the light for others can shine a positive
path for their life. Also, I cherish everyday that I can wake up rejoicing our Lord.
However, as a Christian we fall short of the glory of the Lord, but we keep pushing
to be better. Being brought up in a religious home, taught me a lot about what is
wrong and right. Our conscience when saved helps us distinguish if the decision we
are making is good or bad. So, religion is the biggest value I have in my life.
Honesty
Honesty should be a value that guides everyone s life. Being honest is very important
because this shows that others can trust you to tell the truth. Throughout my life, I
have tried to put honesty
Flying Spaghetti Monster Research Paper
The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster (often shortened to FSM), also known as
the Pastafarian Church, and Flying Spaghetti Monsterism, was created in 2005 after a
letter protesting the teaching of intelligent design in schools, written by Prophet
Bobby Henderson, was posted online. Since that time, The FSM has gained much
internet fame and what Henderson estimates to be millions, if not thousands . The
Church is founded on the belief that the world was created by the benevolent and
undetectable mythical being known as the Flying Spaghetti Monster. It is commonly
believed by members that, after drinking heavily, he created the world in four days,
starting with a mountain, a tree, and a midget, later creating a wench for the midget,
whom all humans are descended from. The church states that their envisionment of

1), which represents their value of pirates, and a simplified image of the FSM
Himself (see fig. 2), which is used to identify other members of the church, and also
to parody the Christian fish symbol. These images are often used in Pastafarian
propaganda, which is also the church s main source of income. The language of the
Church is rather unique. Pastafarians almost entirely agree that the more someone
talks using pirate lingo, the more devout a believer they are. Because of this, one of
the Church s few holidays is International Talk Like A Pirate Day, which is celebrated
on September 19th. They also end all prayers, official or invented, with the phrase R
Amen (sometimes written rAmen), as something of a spoof of the phrase Amen .
While an argument could be made that the Church is a counter culture for their desire
to keep intelligent design and other religious teaching out of schools, the Church is
definitively a subculture. They are simply a group of like minded people who have
banded together in their attempts to improve the
Travel Writing In Jonathan Swift s Gulliver Travel By...
In the eighteenth Century, travel writing was normally known as the book of
voyages, which chiefly comprised of oceanic journals. In eighteenth century
Britain, every well known author worked in the travel writing structure. A portion
of the aclaimed books of eighteenth century are A Voyage Round the World by Way
of the Great South Sea by George Shelvocke , Journal of a voyage to Lisbon by
Henry Fielding, Travels through France and Italy by Tobias Smollett, A
Sentimental Journey Through France and Italy by Laurence Sterne , A Journey to
the Western Islands of Scotland by Samuel Johnson and Tale of A Tub, Battle of
The Books and Gulliver s Travel by Jonathan Swift. Jonathan Swift s Gulliver
travel is considered one of the best book of eighteenth Century since it is a perfect
work of art of satire . In his first voyage Gullivers find himself in Lilliput where
people are just six inches tall. For Gulliver they resemble like toys and doll. . He
calls the Lilliputians small men . The voyage to Brobdingnag intoduce a difference
not only between the physical size of Lilliputians and Brobdingnagians but also their
moral and profound size. The Brobdingnagians are just the reverse of what the
Lilliputians were. The Brobdingnagians are forgiving .Swift focuses on the
superiority of the giants and the irrelevance of Gulliver. While the Lilliputians
attacked Gulliver with spears and arrows at first sight and behaved unpleasntly, the
Brobdingnagians were amused at the sight of
Devil Vs Anselm
In Anselm s On the Fall of the Devil he says, [The devil] should not have known
that he would be punished if he sinned (93). Which means that God was right in not
telling the devil that there would be consequences for his actions. Anselm defends
this claim by discussing the devil s free will, the intent behind the devil s actions if
the devil knew about the punishments these actions would bring and the impact that
it has had on angels after this. I disagree with Anselm because I believe that fully
knowing the costs and benefits of the choices you make is essential to the decision
making process. Furthermore, I believe that there was no way of Anselm to know the
intent behind the devil s actions, so it would not be appropriate for Anselm to... Show

The reason being, he does not know the perspective of the devil and the possibility
of what could be advantageous to him, and he does not and cannot know for certain
the intent behind the devils actions for an event that never occurred. Anselm takes
for granted that a piece of information would beneficial in some cases but not
others, which is problematic. Finally, knowing the consequences of a decision does
not mean that your decision will be based off those consequences and even if it is
influenced by those consequences there is no way of knowing of you genuinely
willed to not sin because of the time you had to
German Culture Vs American Culture Essay
Coming from a German culture, my family stays traditional in the way we celebrate
holidays and eat food. The differences between German and American culture are
very evident in their holiday traditions and meals, but there are also some similarities,
such as language, that are often overlooked. When I think of the differences between
German and American culture, one of the first things that comes to mind is how
Christmasis celebrated. In Germany, it is always celebrated on Christmas Eve. Instead
of Santa, children are told that if they behave well, Kris Kringle or Christkindl ,
meaning Christ Child, will leave presents for them under the tree. While waiting for
the presents to come, the familywill gather around the table to eat dinner
Examples Of Figurative Language In Porphyria s Lover
The early nineteenth century poem by Robert Browning, Porphyria s Lover , is
filled with examples of figurative language. Browning uses metaphors, similes, and
personification to bring the poem to life. The use of figurative language allows
Browning to raise from the dead a poem with the unemotional tonee of the speaker.
He exposes the mind of a psychopath, an insane lover, mastering the art of the
dramatic monologue. Porphyria s Lover opens with a scene of a warm cozy cottage
during a raging storm. Amidst the storm, a young, yellowed haired woman named
Porphyia comes calling on the speaker. The poem starts with the simplicity and
purity of a young lover and a cozy cottage in the countryside. The poems tone
abruptly changes as Porphyria... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In Line 32, the speaker describes her eyes as Happy and proud , or does this
describe the speaker s feelings. The statement is ambiguous, but what is clear is
that he sees the love she has for him in her eyes. The speaker also compares
Porphyria s closed eyes to the bud of a flower with a bee inside, in Lines 43 44. Is
this because he is afraid of being stung by her eyes upon their open, or is this a
sexual metaphor? Bees pollinate flowers, so is this meant to represent the desire
in her eyes? He continues in Line 45, using synecdoche to make her blue eyes
represent her as a whole woman. In the line, it states, Laughed the blue eyes
without a stain ; the stain could be used as a metaphor. The eyes could be filled
with broken blood vessels due to the strangulation, or the stain of his sin of killing
her is visible in her eyes. This poem had, and continues to have its fair share of
critics. Amongst them, a Victorian critic named John Ruskin. Ruskin scathingly
ridiculed Browning s use of figurative language in his literature. Ruskin argued that
his form was bad craftsmanship, calling it a pathetic fallacy . He argued that
something such as the weather cannot reflect the inner state of the characters. Ruskin
had a problem with the weather depicting mood such as rain being indicative of
sadness or the sun being indicative of

In the film, Amy, being the eldest sibling and daughter of the Grapes, plays the
Mother Role having to take care of the household. My older sister Amy is more
like a mother , explains Gilbert, making him portray the Father Figure ; as he
states, My father built this house, and it s my job to do the repairs. Amy being the
voice of reason tries her best to keep the family together, which causes Gilbert to
repress his feelings the more Amy tells him he has to do better . In the scene when
Gilbert leaves Arnie in the bathtub overnight, causes a fright to the family; which is
when Amy begins to tell him, You gotta do better because without his help the
family will fall apart quickly. This builds up Gilbert s emotion because he knows just
as Amy he has an important role in the family to fill in.
Ellen, the youngest of the siblings, concentrates on appearances, specifically hers.
While the family is eating dinner, Ellen begins to chew with her mouth open
which disgusts Gilbert. He tells Ellen to close her mouth when she is eating, to
which Ellen responds sarcastically, Oh. Okay Dad. Sure thing, Dad. This
aggravates Gilbert because for him it is an insult to be compared to such a man.
Gilbert s job is to support his family financially yet Ellen s character seems to make
Gilbert feel guilty and responsible for all the bad things

The Semi-Constructivist Classroom Environment
The rules that I have established for my classroom resemble some of the
expectations that can be seen in industrial labs. The students will be reminded of the
classroom rules via visual (posters) and verbal (reminders) cues. An example of a
verbal cue is the daily Lab Safety Contract reminder. Everyday I will read a line from
the Lab Safety Contract that the students signed. The rule of obeying the Lab Safety
Contract can be difficult due to the amount of information in the contract, but the
daily reminders will ease the pressure of remembering all the details. In order to

The green level means the room is fairly quiet and is great for lecturing and civil
class discussions. Too much noise during a lecture and/or a class discussion can
distract the students from obtaining information. The Yellow level is a step above

during group activities and lab exercises. The Red level is when every student is
trying to out shout each other. A Red level will result in consequences and lesson

The Best Of Budget Motorcycle Helmets
Best of Budget Motorcycle Helmets
Introduction: Why You Should Invest in a Helmet
A motorcycle helmet is the protection you want for your head and neck in the event
of a crash. Wearing a helmet cuts down on wind noise and so helps you hear better.
It protects your eyes from the wind and debris so you can see better. And a helmetcan
protect you from the fatigue effect caused by riding through the wind, too, so you
can stay alert. What should you consider in buying a helmet?
First, let s look at the protective elements of a helmet:
The outer shell, the layer that sustains the hard blow of a crash, should be of a good
reinforced composite plastic
The lining should be Expanded Polystyrene Foam (EPS) or styrofoam. EPS comes in

The DOT sticker: should you buy only DOT certified?
The DOT sticker means the helmet complies with the safety standards of the US
Department of Transportation.
DOT standards cover: Impact or the shock absorbing capacity of the shell and lining.
Penetration or the ability of the helmet to withstand sharp objects breaking through
the shell.
Retention or the chin strap system for keeping the helmet on in a fall or crash.
Peripheral Vision. DOT specifies that helmetsmust provide a minimum of 105
degree side vision to each side. Human usable peripheral vision is only about 90
degrees to each side.
Is a budget priced helmet good enough?
Consider that high end, expensive helmets are not always safer for the money. A UK
study involving SHARP ratings, (Safety Helmet Assessment and Rating Programme),
concluded that a number of helmets priced from $59.99 to $99.00 i.e. under $100 got
their top 5 star protection score.

Analysis Of Oliver Sacks s The Lost Mariner
Oliver Sacks account of a person with severe amnesia resulting from Korsakov s
syndrome is appropriately named The Lost Mariner ; Jimmie, the patient, seems
lost , and Sacks even questions if he has been de souled by [his] disease (36).
Through The Lost Mariner , Sacks depicts personal narrative as a necessity for a
complete existence. The portion of his life that Jimmie can recall is full and
satisfying; he became a submarine s assistant radio operator when he was drafted
in 1943 and was engaged to a woman (Sacks, 23). Jimmie, however, cannot
remember anything after the age of nineteen; in a figurative sense, his life ends at
this age in the year 1945. As a result, he does not even feel alive ; he does not feel
that his life... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This suggests that Sacks doesn t believe that a continuing narrative is necessary for an
identity, but rather some element of a personal narrative. Sacks edition of The Lost
Mariner is a compelling narrative because it is shocking; it violates all of the internal
rules that individuals have about the way that individuals are treated in narratives.
According to Jerome Bruner s The Narrative Construction of Reality , a story is only
worth telling if an implicit canonical script has been breached ; in other words, if it
infringes upon the norm (11). Jimmie comes across as a positive character in terms
of personality; Sacks describes him as cheerful, friendly, and warm and a genial soul
(22 23). Traditionally, likeable characters are expected to prosper and experience
happiness within narrative; however, this is not the case with Jimmie, as he feels
miserable due to his inability to interact with the present. This example of the
concept of breach that Bruner states is necessary for a story to be attractive. Another
component of the story s allure is the role in it that the concept of narrative accrual
plays. Narrative accrual refers to the collection of smaller narratives to form a longer
one, such as with history, culture, and autobiographies (Bruner, 18 20). One of the
most significant manifestations of

Describe New York City
There are two main reasons I have applied to NYU. The first is because New York
City is my favorite place in the world. The first time I came to New York was with
my mom. We had taken a bus from Vermont to Massachusetts and then into New
York. The bus ride was long and uncomfortable, but I was as bouncy and ecstatic.
When I stepped out of the Port Authority Bus Terminal and on to 8th Avenue, there
was only one word that could accurately describe the feeling; home. Even though I
was only able to be in the city for seventeen hours, every minute felt like a lifetime.
My mom and I spent most of the day in the Theatre District, except for a quick trip
uptown to the Hamilton Grange National Memorial. It was uptown that I figured out

Is Hamlet A Coward Analysis
What is a coward? A coward is a person who lacks the courage to do or endure
dangerous or unpleasant things. In William Shakespeare s play Hamlet a grief
stricken prince of Denmark comes home to his father s funeral and he seeks revenge
against the murderer. Hamlet is a story of love, loss, and overall revenge.
Hamlet is also a coward because of his inability to act against those who betrayed
him, but had other people carry out their demise. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern
used to be friends of Hamlet until they betrayed him for the King and Queen and
for money. They spied on Hamlet for the King and Queen and for money. Later we
discover that Rosencrantz and Guildenstern were carrying letters and Hamlet states
in the final words of the letters That, on the supervise, no leisure bated,/No, not to
stay the grinding of the axe,/My head should be strook off. (V. ii. 22 24). With this
statement Hamlet explains that Rosencrantz and Guildenstern were escorting him to
his death at the hands of the English. Instead of dealing with the traitors himself he
rewrites the letters to the English state Without debatement further, more or less,
/ He should those bearers put to sudden death,/Not shriving time allow d. (V. ii. 45
48). He had the English kill him so he did not have to endure a painful experience.
That is nearly the exact definition of a coward. He did not have the courage to do
what needed to be done. We eventually find out that the British were capable of

To make sure that the document is correct and there is no mistakes.
3. Explain the purpose of following confidentiality and data protection procedures
when preparing documents.
Because it is requested by law and would be good to the business practice.
There`s a legal framework regulates the way that personal information is collected,
stored, processed and distributed. Businesses creating and distributing documents
rights, confidential information of the individuals must be respected. If the business
didn t they would lose their customers.
4. In business environments, there is often a requirement to use notes as the basis for
text and documents.
Compare the different types of documents that can be produced from notes and
include a description of the format of each document.
These would be minutes of meeting, letters and reports.
Minutes of meetings have the agenda, who has attended, absences and apologises
then there will be the content of what was said in the meeting.
Letters they would be on letter headed paper with the customer and business
addresses on the subject and the date the letter was written content and signature.
Reports would have a front page, contents page and then the pages would have
different headings on depending on what the report is about.

Who Is To Blame For The First World War
Imagine yourself marching down the street, everyone in the city is gathered
around you, people cheering and screaming for you. You proudly march along
your friends, to prove and show your country is the best and a world power. Even
though you didn t know why you were going, the government gust shipped, you off
for nothing but training to protect their pride for their countries. This was WWI it
started in 1914 and ended 1918; it was called The Great War and the war to end all
wars . This war didn t have a good or bad side; all you know is that war was a
solution to everything. But this was the most dangerous war, they have seen before,
with 22 million people died. So how is to blame for the start of the war? Well some
would say it was Germans... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By 1914 Germany was producing more coal, iron, steel and cars than Great
Britain. Great Britain saw Germany as a major rival and its growing wealth and
power as a potential threat to its wealth and power. As a result, the rivalry of
Germany and Britain heightened. On the other hand, some people believed this
was the most important cause of the war. In my opinion WWI was an unnecessary
global conflict in which 22 million people needlessly lost their lives. The First
World War witnessed a huge amount of casualties. Tactics during the early stages
of the war led to the massacre of hundreds of thousands of soldiers and a huge loss
in moral. The assassin and the alliances contributed to this, by all of the major
powers stepping all in because they ally needed help (this was the most important
and most major cause of the First World War happening). I also believe that the
assassination of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand was only a minor cause and put
together with all the others caused the First World War Of all the thing that
happens you can now say and prove the start of the war wasn t Germany s fault.
Even if you look closer to the countries that caused the war were Serbs, Russia,
Great Britain and France. If Germany was to blame for this war then Italy would be
in the same position, they were an opposite side. Before the start of the war every
country had prayed and they were going to do anything to prove it.

  • 2. Identity vs. Role Confusion Essay In today s Western society, self identity and social roles are important dimensions that are at times challenging to face. Social roles have always been a fundamental part of society and yet as time goes on, it seems to be increasingly difficult to understand. As discussed in class, in the medieval period, people were assigned roles based on family status. In modern days, however, societal roles have expanded and opportunities are endless, which raises the question: Is there more uncertainty about identityin modern society? In entering adolescence, people heavily contemplate their ego identity. In the early 1900s, theorist Erik Eriksonbelieved in eight stages of ego development from birth to death. For the purpose of this paper I have... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Exploring different aspects of yourself in the different areas of life has never been so pertinent. As previously mentioned, there has undoubtedly been a shift of roles when comparing the past to the present. Traditionally speaking, men and women s roles have been that of providers and nurturers respectively. Although through time, these traditional mentalities have transformed, allowing for more possibilities. Even though men s roles have altered, women have emancipated themselves from a very narrow view of appropriate social norms and can now enjoy the freedom to choose from an array of roles. The quest for self identity is very significant in this time of my life, which is the reason I have chosen this topic for my project. I am a definite opportunist and I seize every occasion if the possibility of learning something new arises. Although it is very exciting to experience moratorium, it is also at times stressful and daunting having to continuously explore different roles and opportunities. Along with my peers, I am attempting to resolve many existential dilemmas such as What career path should I follow? or What roles apply to me? These questions give rise to the feeling of identity uncertainty and role confusion. Coming from an art background, I felt most comfortable expressing myself through sketch. Therefore, I chose to convey my internal struggles through a drawing of a ballerina who is surrounded by my inner thoughts. The

Athletic trainers have such a big responsibility when it comes to the health and care of the athletes that they work with. Trainers are the first person that an athlete will see when they become injured during a game, and in most cases when the athlete performs rehab. The athlete depends on the athletic trainerto diagnose his or her injury, and then help him or her recovery to pre injury health. With this responsibility also comes consequence. If an athletic trainer returns an athlete before he or she is ready, and that athlete were to get reinjured due to not being fully recovered, the athletic trainer is liable... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is especially the case if the game is in progress in the athlete has an important role. Each athlete that comes off the field or court after being hit in the head must go through a cognitive test called a Standardized Assessment of Concussion (SAC). This test is used immediately after the head trauma to test the athlete on their Strength, Memory, Coordination, Concentration, and Physical Movements. The SAC only takes approximately 5 to 7 minutes to administer (Straus). The problem that athletic trainers face with testing an athlete after a head impact is dealing with the coach. When an athlete is required to perform a 5 to 7 minute test in the middle of a game when the coach needs them, can cause the coach to get very aggravated and be right in the ear of the trainer. It can put stress and pressure on the trainer, which could then cause them to make an error during the testing of the athlete. SAC has value in helping sports medicine professionals in detecting and quantifying acute cognitive impairment on the sports sideline, particularly in identifying concussions in the 90 to 95% of cases (Straus). If a coach distracts the trainer from performing the best SAC test for an athlete that percentage is going to drop, and the trainer could miss evaluate the athlete. This could place the athlete at risk if they are allowed to return to play too soon, and make the athletic trainer liable if that athlete gets seriously injured. Sideline evaluations can be a big factor on the pressure that athletic trainers deal

Ocular Tuberculosis Tuberculosis or TB is a widespread, infectious disease caused by different strains of mycobacteria, usually Mycobacterium tuberculosis (other species: bovis, africanum, and microt). It normally affects the lungs but can also spread to other parts of the body. Ocular Tuberculosis refers to the condition when the infection spreads to any part of the eye (or around the eye); this is a relatively rare occurrence. Extraocular TB is the infection of the external eye; it is quite rare and relatively easy to diagnose as biopsies can be done to test for the infection. • 5. Racial And Ethnic Diversity In Public Schools One of the largest debates in today s society is what type of school is more beneficial when developing an elementary student s learning abilities. Many people say that private schools cater to their needs better, however others believe public schools are better equipped. The diversity at public schools allows for social growth, they have a more structured learning criteria, and a more strict policy on discipline that helps teachers improve behavior. Elementary students are at the most vital part of their mental development, determining the proper school for young children to attend is a crucial part of that growth. One of the greatest concerns with public schools is that the numbers are far too large, parents fear their child will get lost or overlooked. However, there are several benefits to placing children in larger communities with many different types of people. A study done in 1997 by the National Center for EducationStatistics showed that Racial and ethnic diversity can enrich the school experiences of students (Findings from the Condition of Education 1997, p. 9). The benefit of public schools is rooted largely in the social growth that can and does take place in them. Racial and ethnic diversity is not only important in exposing children to different cultures, but such environments counter potential racism that is brought on by cultural isolation. Ethnic diversity, more often than not, goes hand in hand with intellectual diversity due to the fact that
  • 6. The Internet And The Renaissance Age The Renaissance age started in Italy, specifically in Florence. The economy started to change during the 13th hundred: trade, commerce and banking grew. The Internet, on the other hand, was invented in 1969 by a man called J.C.R Licklider. Changes Internet did to our economy are basically employment, payments and time value. Since the world began, history has repeated itself in extraordinary and also horrible ways. A positive example of this is the growth and improvements in both the Renaissanceculture and the Internet made to the global economy. During Renaissance, italian cities became more productive and a developed creative thinking. Urban areas were commercialised and also the price of commodities were fixed. The italian culture was prospered and the foreign exchange market, insurance, stock companies, international banking and government debt were developed. The northern part of the country acted as the main trade point for silk, wool, silver, cloth, spices and armour. Venicewas mostly known for book printing, which made that city very important. Commerce was not enough to improve wealth. Therefore some merchants also became bankers. I don t believe youths should be jail for having consensual sex .Example ,I know of an individual who had a daughter her age Sixteen years old was dating a seventeen year old boy ,the parents did not approved the relationship ,but these two seem in love ,as soon as the boy turned eighteen her mother had him arrested and charged for having sex with her daughter ,that ruined the young man life, because that stigma as a sex offender, would prevent him from having opportunities in his life ,such as decent jobs. In 2007, Florida created a law known as Romeo and Juliet law, to address issues such as high school youth being labeled as sexual offenders or sexual predictors, as a result of participating in consensual sexual relationship. Reason being these stigma, can have long term consequences, which can affect the offenders, ability to attend his or her child s school functions, and where the offender can live.(Florida Senate ,2011). Several states have also participated in the Romeo and Juliet Law this law intention is to protect young sexual offenders who are close in age to their victims and engage in consensual sex ,from registering as sexual offenders. • 8. Importance Of Sportsmanship In Sports The two things that most attract me to Wellesley are the Chandler Pool and the Lulu Campus Center. Sportsmanship is one of my defining characteristics. Having been swimming for the past three years, the eight lane professional Chandler Pool at Wellesley attracts me deeply. Swimming has both strengthened my perseverance and given me the spirit of collaboration and sportsmanship. I enjoy the feeling of racing in the water, pushing myself to the finish line. Swimming has given my body power, developed my deep thinking skills, and, most importantly, made me into a leader. As the captain of the swimming team at my high school, I have had tough moments leading the team, because most of my teammates are more senior than I and I am also an international student. But a loud voice without any action won t win over team members. I changed the situation by working harder and improving my communication skills. I practice longer hours than any other team member., and became the fastest one in the team, although I am not the most physically fit. I volunteered to swim the 500 yards freestyle and fought for my team to make the state meet. I constantly practice my communication skills and improve my English. Instead of giving direct orders to team members, I help and care for my team members. During my two week medical leave, although my doctor advised me to stay at home and rest, I went to the swimming pool, helping the coach keep time, cheering for my team and handing them water and towels.
  • 9. Trolling In Social Media The media industry is constantly growing and converging through every American household, so does the number of online trolls. Trolling is a behavior within the internet that is considered a form of bullying and harassment. This behavior can be seen all over the social media sites such as Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and anywhere a comment can be left. These trolls leave negative or cruel comments to aggravate a person for a response in hopes it will escalate. Some instances they will escalate to the point a person will fear for their life due to the threating comments. For example, Caroline Criado Perez, a feminist campaigner from the UK, was viciously trolled for successfully campaigning women to be on England notes. Online the trolls were sending her rape and death threats, also posting what they thought was her address. Trolling has become an epidemic that should be monitored because as Americans we have rights, it has a damaging effect on society, and it will force society to conform.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Most of the trolling done online stems from people having their own opinion and ideas. When someone posts a video, a picture, or a post that is even a little controversial, others will start posting there take on it. Eventually it turns into a nasty argument and the trollers begin there trolling instead of having an adult debate. The definition of arguing is an exchange regarding opposite views done in a hostile manner. Arguing is not an effective way to express points of view. On the other hand, debating is the smarter way to state one views. When one debates they are expressing their views and beliefs in a formal manner. Society knows the difference between but believes both are acceptable because of the trolling that is allowed online. If the comments on line were removed it would force society to had controversial situations
  • 10. Bentham Vs Kant This paper offers an analysis of Immanuel Kant and Jeremy Bentham in order to argue that both of their moral theories are two different ethical principles. Nevertheless, many of their reasonings are applied in moral debates and are relevant in today s society. Both of these philosophers brought back moral philosophyand provided different approaches on how an individual should follow moral principles. In the first part of this essay, I will analysis Kant s moral philosophy, such as context of right and wrong, the meaning of the text, and provide evidence that these principles is applied in today s moral debate. Then, I will discuss Bentham s moral philosophy using the same steps of analysis. The Fundamental Principles of the Metaphysics of Morals by Immanuel Kant(1724 1804) believes in the reasonable and free compliance of one s will to follow and abide by the moral law. This position provides an ethical foundation for what is recognized as morality. For Kant, the moral value of an act is not determined from its expected consequences, but from the representation of law itself.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A simple way to define the difference is that hypothetical imperatives dictate if you want this, then you ought to do this. The goals are based on self interest. On the other hand, categorical imperatives are unconditional and mandate that we recognize there is only one true imperative; always take the moral ground. According to Kant, moral truths are not received from on high through divine revelation or inspiration. Rather, they are based on reasons that make sense to all people who bother to think about

This loyalty was believed to be owed to a nation of people who share a common history and language as its core. Due to the growing want for true self government in Europe, people began calling for unity. Once these nations were created, governments wanted their country to be the strongest and most powerful. A growing sense of pride by the people that their nation was the greatest led to wars to prove who truly had the better military. One of the notable leaders for Germany s unification was Wilhem I the King of Prussia. Wilhem succeeded Frederick William in 1861. Wilhem s proposals as king were he wanted an increase in military strength and size. However at the time Parliament the legal body of Prussia would not give in to his demands and refused to give the king any money. This pushed Wilhem to appoint a new Prime Minister in order to achieve his wish for of a bigger military. Much of the calendar still reflects the old pagan customs, with later Christian traditions also having significant influence. In Ireland, Christmas has multiple traditions and some aren t connected to Christianity in any way at all, but reflect even older cultural and religious practices. To many of the Irish, St Stephen is believed to be the first Christian martyr. Around the year 33 CE he was stoned to death. He was hiding from his enemies when a wren gave him away. Another legend has it that Vikings raided Ireland on St Stephen s day. Soldiers were moving in toward the Viking camp to drive them out, but a wren started eating crumbs from a drum and alerted the Vikings of the presence of the Irish soldiers. Some people believed that it was the wrens that betrayed them and should be stoned to death, just as St Stephen was. Boys would go out hunting for wren and throwing stones at them. They also would tie the dead bird to a stick and parade around with it. They did this in attempt to get money so the entire village could celebrate. Though the tradition of killing wrens on Stephen s day died out in the 1900 s, St Stephen s Day is still known as the Day of the Wren, mainly in rural areas. St Stephen s Day has been a holiday in Ireland for hundreds of years. It became a public holiday following the Bank Holidays Act
  • 14. The Sexual Aspect Of American Beauty A minority of critics and movie analysts have attempted to pick at the sexual aspect of American Beauty in hopes of uncovering a hidden meaning instead they are simply over reaching. American Beauty is a satire that aims to shed some much needed light on the hidden world that lives in the American suburban setting. Successfully accomplished by Mendes through the exposure of certain topics and sexuality undoubtably being one of them. Ricky s father Colonel Frank Fitts a military man who brings his military world of discipline and order to the management of his family is ironically a homophobe. The ironyis displayed at the last scene of the movie where its revealed that the colonel himself is a homosexual man when he kisses Lester. Likewise Lester and Jane s friend Angela s relationship is created upon aesthetic desire from both parties; the sexual half part of the relationship never comes to life but the relationship stirs much controversy nonetheless. Both examples provide room for the minority argument although these examples only play a part in the mocking and exposure of the hidden scandals that occur within the suburban setting and neither make it to the final message that Mendes want his viewers to walk away with. Critics believe these sexual interactions and relationships should be mentioned and stamped with a negative connotation especially that of Lester and Angela since Only 2 of the 492 critics used the word pedophilia in their assessments of American Beauty
  • 15. Modern Judaism And Traditional Judaism Essay There are a fair amount of differences between modern and traditional Judaism. As this is the case it is only natural that many well known people in all walks of life can be considered modern Jews. This distinction is very important because as more famous people practice a more modern Jewish culture and lifestyle, more of the younger generations of the world quickly follow suit. Not only is modern Judaism accommodating towards modern scholarship, science, culture and a general modernity of the world, it goes as far as even welcoming it. This is because modern Judaism takes a fairly inclusive stance towards all that modern society has to offer and provide. (Waxman, 1993) In modern Judaism, interaction with different culture and knowledge is encouraged, not for the sake of facilitating the Torah as it is in the traditional Judaism but for the sake of the person, as this outside knowledge is seen to be part of a larger truth. (Elias, 1960) With these general distinctions between traditional and modern Judaism, it is easy to find examples of people in popular culture who fit into the classification. One person who could be argued to be a good example of a modern Jew someone who takes part in life outside of Jewish culture and welcomes with open arms modernity is Woody Allen. As an 80 year old man, Allen has had to struggle with the shift from traditional to modern Judaism and create a mixture (or lack thereof) that works for him. As an individual tying his whole life to

Causes And Treatment Of Liver Fibrosis Liver fibrosis is the typical end stage, pathological process that follows chronic hepatitis C(CHC)viral infection or other disorders of the liver.[1] Fibrosis is a dynamic scarring process in which chronic inflammation stimulates production and accumulation of collagen and extracellular matrix proteins as described in other articles. [1, 2] Over time patients with CHC viral infection experience a remodelling of the total collagen content. This progressive remodelling causes liverfibrosis, which can lead to liver cirrhosis.[3 5] Hepatic fibrosis and cirrhosis are potentially reversible with timely intervention. [1] To achieve the best possible outcome, treatment must be initiated in the early stages of liver fibrosis.[1] Another benefit of timely treatment of fibrosis and cirrhosis is the prevention of hepato cellular carcinoma.[3, 6] Additionally, in patients with chronic hepatitis C,anti viral treatment is indicated with severe fibrosis. [3, 6]Therefore, clinicians must serially monitor the level and severity of fibrotic tissue, to ensure timely treatment and to determine the patient s risk of liver related morbidity, mortality and hepatic comorbidities, for example, portal hypertension or hepatic carcinoma.[7 10] Current methods used to monitor Hepatic Fibrosis and Cirrhosis available at Fremantle Hospital. Also, values can be learned or established from society, family, friends, and personal experience. Values guide the path you live. Personal Values are the internal rudder by which you steer your life (Harley McClaskey, 2017, p.23). There are many values that individuals have, but here are five of my personal values: religion, honesty, family, teamwork, and happiness. So, therefore, you learn your values through what is important to the way you guide your life. Religion While as a child, my mother took my family to church to learn and grow through the word of God. As we grew older, we were told to walk our daily life obediently towards the rules set by our Lord. Being the light for others can shine a positive path for their life. Also, I cherish everyday that I can wake up rejoicing our Lord. However, as a Christian we fall short of the glory of the Lord, but we keep pushing to be better. Being brought up in a religious home, taught me a lot about what is wrong and right. Our conscience when saved helps us distinguish if the decision we are making is good or bad. So, religion is the biggest value I have in my life. Honesty Honesty should be a value that guides everyone s life. Being honest is very important because this shows that others can trust you to tell the truth. Throughout my life, I have tried to put honesty

Gilbert s job is to support his family financially yet Ellen s character seems to make Gilbert feel guilty and responsible for all the bad things

The students will be reminded of the classroom rules via visual (posters) and verbal (reminders) cues. An example of a verbal cue is the daily Lab Safety Contract reminder. Everyday I will read a line from the Lab Safety Contract that the students signed. The rule of obeying the Lab Safety Contract can be difficult due to the amount of information in the contract, but the daily reminders will ease the pressure of remembering all the details. In order to provide the semi constructivist classroom environment, the studentbody will create one rule for the classroom. Walking only in the Classroom/Laboratory These labs will contain several instruments that can cost up to five hundred thousand dollars. If a staff member breaks a piece machinery because he/she was running from station to station, that individual would surely be released from the company. Students who continuously break lab equipment or spill chemicals due to running in the classroom may be removed from the lab and future lab exercises.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The green level means the room is fairly quiet and is great for lecturing and civil class discussions. Too much noise during a lecture and/or a class discussion can distract the students from obtaining information. The Yellow level is a step above the green. There is a little more noise in this level, but this level will be appropriate during group activities and lab exercises. The Red level is when every student is trying to out shout each other. A Red level will result in consequences and lesson redirection. In a chemical laboratory, one cannot simply shout and make a lot of noise. Some chemical measurements have to be very precise, and loud noises may distract and disrupt the measurement

The earth in the ancient city of Xi an continues to astound archaeologists. When excavation work to find more terracotta relics restarted for the third time last year in Xi an, archaeologists admitted they did not expect to make any groundbreaking discoveries. Researchers suggested that the No 1 pit, the largest of the three that surround the tomb of China s first emperor Qin Shihuang (259 210 BC), was in a worse condition than the other two and not likely to offer rich pickings. However, the experts were more than happy to be proven wrong. Along with the more than 114 broken figures unearthed since digging resumed in June last year, the discovery... It was a pleasant surprise, said Xu Weihong, who is leading the excavation of the 200 square meter site, at the Museum of the Terracotta Warriors and Horses of Qin Shihuang in Shaanxi province. We found some painted in pink, red, white and lilac. The colors better highlight the expression on the figures faces and could prove invaluable to the study of ancient China. And thanks to new technology developed in cooperation with a German institute, technicians on the scene were able to preserve the relics in their original painted colors something that was unthinkable during the previous two digs. The first, which lasted from 1978 until 1984, resulted in the discovery of 1,087 clay relics. However, after being exposed to air, they all quickly lost their color and turned an oxidized gray. (A second dig started in 1985 but halted a year later due to technical reasons.) When the excavation started, mold caused by moisture began to spread in the pits, said Wu Yongqi, director of the terracotta museum, which was officially opened on Oct 1, 1979. When we wiped the mold off the surface dried

Analysis Of Oliver Sacks s The Lost Mariner Oliver Sacks account of a person with severe amnesia resulting from Korsakov s syndrome is appropriately named The Lost Mariner ; Jimmie, the patient, seems lost , and Sacks even questions if he has been de souled by [his] disease (36). Through The Lost Mariner , Sacks depicts personal narrative as a necessity for a complete existence. The portion of his life that Jimmie can recall is full and satisfying; he became a submarine s assistant radio operator when he was drafted in 1943 and was engaged to a woman (Sacks, 23). Jimmie, however, cannot remember anything after the age of nineteen; in a figurative sense, his life ends at this age in the year 1945. As a result, he does not even feel alive ; he does not feel that his life... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This suggests that Sacks doesn t believe that a continuing narrative is necessary for an identity, but rather some element of a personal narrative. Sacks edition of The Lost Mariner is a compelling narrative because it is shocking; it violates all of the internal rules that individuals have about the way that individuals are treated in narratives. According to Jerome Bruner s The Narrative Construction of Reality , a story is only worth telling if an implicit canonical script has been breached ; in other words, if it infringes upon the norm (11). Jimmie comes across as a positive character in terms of personality; Sacks describes him as cheerful, friendly, and warm and a genial soul (22 23). Traditionally, likeable characters are expected to prosper and experience happiness within narrative; however, this is not the case with Jimmie, as he feels miserable due to his inability to interact with the present. This example of the concept of breach that Bruner states is necessary for a story to be attractive. Another component of the story s allure is the role in it that the concept of narrative accrual plays. Narrative accrual refers to the collection of smaller narratives to form a longer one, such as with history, culture, and autobiographies (Bruner, 18 20). One of the most significant manifestations of

The first time I came to New York was with my mom. We had taken a bus from Vermont to Massachusetts and then into New York. The bus ride was long and uncomfortable, but I was as bouncy and ecstatic. When I stepped out of the Port Authority Bus Terminal and on to 8th Avenue, there was only one word that could accurately describe the feeling; home. Even though I was only able to be in the city for seventeen hours, every minute felt like a lifetime. My mom and I spent most of the day in the Theatre District, except for a quick trip uptown to the Hamilton Grange National Memorial. It was uptown that I figured out there was nowhere
  • 42. Is Hamlet A Coward Analysis What is a coward? A coward is a person who lacks the courage to do or endure dangerous or unpleasant things. In William Shakespeare s play Hamlet a grief stricken prince of Denmark comes home to his father s funeral and he seeks revenge against the murderer. Hamlet is a story of love, loss, and overall revenge. Hamlet is also a coward because of his inability to act against those who betrayed him, but had other people carry out their demise. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern used to be friends of Hamlet until they betrayed him for the King and Queen and for money. They spied on Hamlet for the King and Queen and for money. Later we discover that Rosencrantz and Guildenstern were carrying letters and Hamlet states in the final words of the letters That, on the supervise, no leisure bated,/No, not to stay the grinding of the axe,/My head should be strook off. (V. ii. 22 24). With this statement Hamlet explains that Rosencrantz and Guildenstern were escorting him to his death at the hands of the English. Instead of dealing with the traitors himself he rewrites the letters to the English state Without debatement further, more or less, / He should those bearers put to sudden death,/Not shriving time allow d. (V. ii. 45 48). He had the English kill him so he did not have to endure a painful experience. That is nearly the exact definition of a coward. He did not have the courage to do what needed to be done. We eventually find out that the British were capable of getting rid of

This war didn t have a good or bad side; all you know is that war was a solution to everything. But this was the most dangerous war, they have seen before, with 22 million people died. So how is to blame for the start of the war? Well some would say it was Germans... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... By 1914 Germany was producing more coal, iron, steel and cars than Great Britain. Great Britain saw Germany as a major rival and its growing wealth and power as a potential threat to its wealth and power. As a result, the rivalry of Germany and Britain heightened. On the other hand, some people believed this was the most important cause of the war. In my opinion WWI was an unnecessary global conflict in which 22 million people needlessly lost their lives. The First World War witnessed a huge amount of casualties. Tactics during the early stages of the war led to the massacre of hundreds of thousands of soldiers and a huge loss in moral. The assassin and the alliances contributed to this, by all of the major powers stepping all in because they ally needed help (this was the most important and most major cause of the First World War happening). I also believe that the assassination of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand was only a minor cause and put together with all the others caused the First World War Of all the thing that happens you can now say and prove the start of the war wasn t Germany s fault. Even if you look closer to the countries that caused the war were Serbs, Russia, Great Britain and France. If Germany was to blame for this war then Italy would be in the same position, they were an opposite side. Before the start of the war every country had prayed and they were going to do anything to prove it.
