I attracted my target audience by ensuring that O used the
typical codes and conventions of the genre pop. these
include bold masthead, bright colours, slogan, many
images, special features, affordable cost and more. I used
bold fonts so my audience can easily identify with the
stories as quickly as possible. this attracts my audience as
when they walk into a supermarket or corner shop, will see
the recognisable masthead, large image and bold fonts
surrounding which will enable them to be intrigued and pick
up the magazine.
I included a special feature called‘ work experience
opportunities’ which allows the readers to get involved in
programmes which they may be interested in. these include
journalism, music, drama and dance programmes which are
run by professionals. additionally, it is free and the 16+ year
olds have the advantage of getting paid.
Social networking-
Social networking has become the norm to contemporary
society. many media institutions use and rely on social
networking sites to help promote their products and get
potential customers. I used a variety of social networking
site such as: Facebook,Twitter, Instagram and email. These
sites allow my readers to stay interactive with the magazine
and spread the word of love pop magazine.
