1. Q5 how did you attract/address
your audience?
My audience ranges between mid teenagers and young adults; mainly those
in their student years, therefore I designed my magazine to attract them to
buy it. I was also aiming for both a male and female audience, I did through
the use of language, for example; my language was quite formal with some
humour's parts to it, thought this would connect to my intended audience as
I felt that they would use this type of language within their vocabulary. Also
the house style I used e.g. the colours red, white and black; I felt as if these
colours would appeal and draw my audience in as these are very in-trend and
in-style colours.
My contents page covers an article called ‘dj Sims and Mc skow’ be students
for a day’ this I thought would instantly draw my audiences attention as they
would be in same boat as the artist were about to be put in. also my contents
isn't very high- literature as I would only expect my audience to be semi-
literature , therefore it would be easy to read and they wont find it boring.
Overall, I think I have done a lot of things to attract my audience and address
them in the right way. I think I achieved this by focusing on my audience and
the requirements my audience would be attracted to. I also focused a lot on
the way in which I was going to represent my artist and the text to appeal to
the audience .The content is also focused around what I know people who
would buy the magazine like and would find interesting.
