Speed control of Three phase Induction motor using AC voltage regulatorShivagee Raj
The role of AC Voltage Regulator in speed control of three phase Induction Motor is to vary the supply voltage which in turn, changes the speed of motor .
An induction is an AC electric motor in which the electric current in the rotor needed to produce torque is obtained by electromagnetic induction from the magnetic field of the stator winding. An induction motor therefore does not require mechanical commutation, separate-excitation or self-excitation for all or part of the energy transferred from stator to rotor, as in universal, DC and large synchronous motors. An induction motor's rotor can be either wound type or squirrel-cage type.

A DC machine is an electromechanical energy alteration device. The working principle of a DC machine is when electric current flows through a coil within a magnetic field, and then the magnetic force generates a torque that rotates the dc motor.
A risk assessment is a thorough look at your workplace to identify those things, situations, processes, etc. that may cause harm, particularly to people. After identification is made, you analyze and evaluate how likely and severe the risk is. When this determination is made, you can next, decide what measures should be in place to effectively eliminate or control the harm from happening.
Fire Safety & Risk Assessment: An Approach on Matrix Modelanuphowlader1
Risk is the likelihood that a person may be harmed or suffers adverse health effects if exposed to a hazard. In other words, risk is the chance, that any hazard will actually cause somebody harm.
Risk = (Hazard × Vulnerability) / Capacity
(Source: The UN International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UNISDR, 2006)
In short, Risk is the likelihood that a specified harm is caused from a particular hazard.
Risk is a computation of the likelihood of harm being done and severity of that harm.
Risk = Likelihood X Severity
A transformer is a static device.
The word ‘transformer’ comes form the word ‘transform’.
Transformer is not an energy conversion device, but it is device that changes AC electrical power at one voltage level into AC electrical power at another voltage level through the action of magnetic field but with a proportional increase or decrease in the current ratings., without a change in frequency.
It can be either to step-up or step down.

Air Blast & SF6 Circuit Breaker Design and Construction anuphowlader1
A circuit breaker is an automatically operated electrical switch designed to protect an electrical circuit from damage caused by overload or short circuit. Its basic function is to detect a fault condition and interrupt current flow.
Switchgear and protection lecture 2 type of circuit breakers and applicationsanuphowlader1
A circuit breaker is an automatically operated electrical switch designed to protect an electrical circuit from damage caused by overload or short circuit. Its basic function is to detect a fault condition and interrupt current flow.
Unlike a fuse, which operates once and then must be replaced, a circuit breaker can be reset (either manually or automatically) to resume normal operation. Circuit breakers are made in varying sizes, from small devices that protect an individual household appliance up to large switchgear designed to protect high voltage circuits feeding an entire city.

A switchgear or electrical switchgear is a generic term which includes all the switching devices associated with mainly power system protection. It also includes all devices associated with control, metering and regulating of electrical power system. Assembly of such devices in a logical manner forms a switchgear. This is the very basic definition of switchgear.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

FIELD POLES- The pole shoe acts as a support to the field
coils and spread out the flux in the air gap and reduce
the reluctance of magnetic field.
FRAME- The Frame is the stationary part of a machine in
which poles, and rotor are stationed.
ARMATURE- The armature consist of core and winding. It is
built up of thin lamination of low loss silicon steel(0.4 to
0.5)

6. COMMUTATOR- A commutator
converts alternating voltage to direct
voltage. It is a cylindrical structure built
up of segment made drawn copper.
BRUSHES- The use of brushes is made
for machines designed for large
current at low voltage.
