This document describes a student project on an automatic street light control system using a real-time clock. The system uses a microcontroller and real-time clock to automatically switch street lights on and off based on scheduled times. It can reduce power wastage by precisely controlling lighting times. The project aims to automate street light control without human intervention for efficient and effective operation. Key components include an AT89S51 microcontroller, real-time clock, LCD display, TRIAC driver, and power supply. The system was tested and able to correctly switch lights according to the scheduled times. It has applications in areas requiring automated lighting control.
