Task 11 – Post 1
All the images I have taken
By Danyal Ahsan
Post 2 – The pictures I have used for
my magazine
I chose this image
because it was a full
body shot, which
matched what I was
going to do for the
image in my
contents page. Also,
I used a blue screen
behind the model,
which meant that it
matched my
magazine’s ethos.
I chose this image
because it clearly left
me enough room to
manipulate the image,
by cropping it and
resizing it. Also, it
showed my characters
costume in the image,
so that my audience
would gain a clearer
image of what genre
my magazine was. For
example, the red rose
and un-done tie.
I chose this image
because it gave me an
extra cover line to list in
my contents page. The
image was very clear
that the boy in the
middle would be the
main person, as he had
the microphone and
had two girls by his
side. Also, was taken
from abit further away
which gave me room to
crop the image.
I chose this image
because it clearly
reinforces my R&B genre.
As you can see, the
models are sitting down
casually on a large sofa.
Looking at other R&B
magazines, artists tend to
have a large prop such as
a sofa that they can sit on,
and this is what I tried to
recreate in this image.
I used this image because my
artists are standing, and have a
straight posture, therefore it
will be easier for me to use the
polygonal marquee tool. Also,
both of the artists are wearing
suitable clothing that artists
would wear, one with a chain
and the other wearing a black
jumper. As opposed to a picture
with my model slouching over,
the marquee tool would be
time consuming to use.
I used this image because
my model Shirone was
wearing a classy cream
coloured blazer with a black
backwards 90s cap on. I was
influenced by the artist Ne-
yo because he wears caps
like these and he is part of
the R&B genre.
I chose this picture because I
needed to have a larger band on
my contents page, to make my
magazine look realistic. Usually,
there is not just solo artists on
the contents page. As well as
this, the models all had straight
faces and were looking at the
camera (direct address), which is
what artists in R&B magazines
have. As opposed to a happy
and smiling face, this would not
reinforce my genre, it would
make it look more like Pop.
