- 2. My Favorite Assignments 1. The metacognition worksheet was one of my favorite assignments because it goes into depth on critical thinking. It showed me the different types of thinkers there are. I can now improve my critical thinking from this assignment. 2. The Financial Avenue assignment was very helpful as well. It taught me about being financially smart and how to get out of debt. I think it has a lot of good tips to improve on money management and how to save money on a budget. 3. The first metacognition discussion board was very eye opening on how I had been studying poorly. It showed me how to get the most of my study time by cutting out distractions and not just looking over isolated facts. Metacognition is something I’m going to be able to carry with me through college, and into my career.
- 3. My Favorite Journals 1. Journal entry 8 showed me how to solve problems more efficiently by using my inner guide. It taught me not to be so quick to jump to conclusions and to thoroughly think things through. It also showed me not to be so quick to judge myself negatively as well. 2. Journal entry 11 really allowed me to open up on my future. It helped me visualize what I really want to be successful in accomplishing. It really made me genuinely happy thinking about my future. 3. Journal entry 23 helped me figure out how to stay on course by revising any “self-sabatoging” thoughts between my inner critic and inner defender. It’s helped me revise negative emotional and behavioral patterns. I can think more clearly and use positive thought patterns to stay away from all the negativity of my inner critic and inner defender.
- 4. My Favorite Week of Class My favorite week of class was probably the first week. I enjoyed it so much because I was able to start learning again. This is my first year of college, and this class is 1 of 2 classes I’m taking this semester. It just made me so excited to complete my classes, and further my education!
- 5. Meaningful Lessons 1. I will carry the knowledge from the Financial Avenue assignment because it has helpful tools to help you save money and get out of debt. Both of which are very important to know as young adults. 2. All of the metacognition videos and discussion boards are all so helpful I just don’t know which one to pick! I love all of them for showing me the different ways to study and learn. 3. I will carry the service learning project with me forever. It has shown me what things will be like in my future work environment and it’s been overall a great experience!

These assessment scores have shown me how much I’ve grown from the beginning of the class all the way to the end.
- 7. Grayson Career Link I was unaware that you had to have much knowledge about business to work as a nurse or a tech. Hearing Aid Specialist was listed as one of my favorable careers, which I didn’t expect because that’s who I work for now. You have to have good communication skills to be able to work in a hospital environment. You may have to take part in an apprenticeship and have at least 2 years of experience before being hired.
- 8. My Dreams I plan on getting my Associates Degree and becoming a Radiology Technician. I would like to own my own home sometime shortly after graduation where I can start my own little family with my boyfriend, David and my son, Christopher.
