Katelynn Rice is a business administration major who never gives up and lives life to the fullest. Three of her favorite assignments were about not letting others negatively impact her schooling, learning effective study techniques, and setting goals to be better prepared for college. Her favorite journals helped her learn about her strengths and weaknesses, stay motivated toward her goals, and express sadness in a constructive way. Her favorite week was reassessing herself and writing a letter to future students. She learned lessons about effective study, timely scheduling, and motivation that she will apply going forward. Through this course, she gained self-awareness and believes more in herself and her ability to achieve her goals, including becoming an accountant.

2. My Three Favorite Assignments:
 Module 2 discussion: The Late Paper Case Study:
This assignment was meaningful to me because it brought light on how you should not let someone affect your
schooling. I am determined to finish school and after reading that paper it brought to my attention of how easily
someone can pull you from the things that are most important. I will not let anyone bring me down, and I will
not let someone stop me from turning a paper in.
o Module 3 discussion: How to Get the Most out of Studying:
This assignment was meaningful to me because it taught me how important studying is to be successful in
college. I pay more attention when I am studying for tests now because I now realize there is a wrong way to
study. Instead of trying to memorize things I study effectively and try to relate things to the material.
 DAPPS Goal Setting Assignment:
This assignment was meaningful to me because it allowed me to set a goal for myself to be better prepared for
college. This class has taught me a lot about the importance of being organized and how to set time for each
class. This assignment finally allowed me to set myself a goal so that I can have plenty of time to prepare myself
for each class.

3. My Three Favorite Journals
 Chapter 1 Journal Entry: Self-Assessment:
From this journal entry I learned that I am very self motivated and have adopted life long learning. I also
learned that my weaknesses are gaining self-awareness and employing interdependence. After this class
though, I have learned a lot about myself and feel a lot better.
 Chapter 3 Journal Entry 11:
This journal was a favorite of mine, it helped me to realize how important my goal is. During this journal I
felt very happy and it was almost like it was actually happening. It is very important that I achieve this goal
and this journal made me feel even more encouraged.
 Chapter 8 Journal Entry 29:
This journal brought out a lot of sadness and it taught me how much I like to express myself. I had never
thought that it would feel good to actually write about the time that made me feel sad but it made me feel
so good! After this journal I have actually started to write about the times when I feel sad and it helps me
get through things faster.

4. The Week I Liked Most:
 My favorite week by far was week 14 because I got to re-do my self-assessment and write a letter
to the next class. This class has helped me to become a better, organized student and re-taking
my self-assessment definitely showed that. I hope this course helps the next class as much as it
did me.

5. Three Lessons I Learned From This Course:
 Three lessons that I learned in this class that I will carry on to my next class is to study effectively,
create a timely schedule to prepare for each of my classes, and to stay motivated and on track so
that I can achieve my goals.

From this course I have learned a lot about myself including that I am determined to finish college and I
believe in myself more than I did at the beginning. This course has taught me that I am self motivated and I
do want to achieve my goals. I have learned a lot about myself just from the journals that we have had to
complete.

7. TypeFocus
 In doing the TypeFocus assignment I learned a lot about Accountants and that is the career that I
am wanting to pursue. Accountants analyze financial information, prepare financial reports, are
very precise and careful with numbers, and usually have to have a bachelors degree to get into
this career.
