Elijah Thomas enjoyed the first discussion, metacognition worksheet, and preferred learning styles assignment the most. He liked the discussion for meeting new classmates and setting up study groups. The metacognition worksheet helped him understand different types of thinkers. The learning styles assignment revealed how he learns best. His favorite journal entries were numbers 1, 13, and 17. Entry 1 set a good starting point. Entry 13 helped him recognize how he spends his time. Entry 17 built on this for better time management. His favorite week was the first because it eased him back into college routines. He learned he wastes time and needs to take responsibility for his life to reach his goals.

· Journal A:
Actually, my feeling for this class is not clear yet, because it is my first time to attend this kind of classes, which I was told that I have to take this class due to my low GPA. Honestly, I was not happy to know that I have to take this kind of classes because my grade, because I thought this class will be a time wasting for me. Also I do not like to be forced to do something that I do not like to do. However, from what we have discussed on the first class I am pretty sure that it is going to be a good experience for me in several ways such as writing journals, how to organize my schedule, and the most important thing is that how to succeed in college. Also, since I am an international student, I need to learn many skills, which this class will do it. For example, self-reflection is very important skill in this class, and it is a new skill that I need to improve myself on it by writing down my own ideas and thoughts to make a good piece of writing.
· Reflection:
As I have said on the first journal, my feeling was not that much good for this class because I thought it is going to be a time wasting, but through the semester I found out that it is really helpful and useful class, which has improved my skills and I have met many good friends and I was really glad to work with. I am sure that the time I have spent in this class was worth it.

Everyone has a blind spot in their personality that they don’t know about it. According to Lynn Little blind spot is “the grid that represents information that is known-by-others but not known-by-self”. There are some steps to find the blind spots in my personality that would do such as quick thinking, analysis my feelings, and ask others. First of all is quick thinking, which means to think about what I do not know about myself and others might know about me from my behavior. Second, by analyzing my feelings there is a big chance to find out some new things about my personality that I have never thought or felt about it before, which could make a huge difference. Third step is asking other people for a feedback about myself, and what they see on me According to my behavior. So, if I do like what I have found about myself by the previous steps, I would keep doing them and try to improve and develop these behaviors on my personality to get the best in myself. On the other hand, if I do not like what I have discovered about my blind spots, or myself, I will stop it immediately to avoid it or try to fix what it could be fixed by getting more knowledge about it. I believe that knowing my blind spots will support to change the way I think, behave and feel. Also, it will help me to reach more prospects for success in my college life and after college life.
· Reflection:
Since I have thought about my blind spot in my personality, I have discovered many things that if I changed them, I can improve my personality, which will help me to understand other people. Also, it can help me to impro.

2. My three favorite assignments for this class were the first discussion, the metacognition
worksheet, and the preferred learning styles assignment. I enjoyed the first discussion
because I was able to meet a lot of new people and have a good starting point for this class.
Meeting everyone gave me a chance to start study groups and learn what kind of people were
going to be taking this class with me. Understanding what this class would be like is
important to me so I can get a good idea of how I am going to do. The metacognition
worksheet was very interesting and I learned a lot from it. It was cool to understand the
different levels of thinkers, so I could see where I was on the list. Learning how stage theory
worked really helped my critical thinking skills. The preferred learning styles assignment
really helped me see myself as a student. I learned how I like to learn and how I can use it to
improve my education. Learning this has helped me a lot in college.
3. My three favorite journal entries were 1, 13, and 17. The first journal entry gave me a good
starting point so I could progress through the class. Also, I don’t really journal so starting
one was an interesting concept. I wrote more than I thought I would and really enjoyed it.
The 13th journal helped me recognize how much time I spend on what. I never really
understood how much time I wasted on a day to day basis, but this journal helped me focus
on what I needed to accomplish my goals. Putting things into quadrants really showed me
what stuff in my life is basically useless and isn’t helping me improve whatsoever. The next
journal, 17, went with the 13th and gave me a better understanding of my time. They went
hand and hand, and these questions really forced me to realize my potential and time
wasting activities. I used this journal to improve my time management.
4. My favorite week had to be the first week because it got me back in the rhythm of college
and having to take classes and studying and meeting new people (even though it was online).
I could tell the difference in my attitude and emotions when school started because I really
wanted to start doing something with my life that would make me get closer to my goals. I
really enjoyed the assignments in the first week because I learned a lot about myself and it
helped me grow as a student. The following weeks after of course were great to, but the first
one was where it really hit home for me.
5. I learned that I waste a lot of time doing meaningless things. This time can be used for
something better or at least more productive. I learned what kind of studier I am, and I was
able to use it to increase my performance in this class and my others. I learned that I need to
be responsible for my life now and I need to start making decisions for me. Once I realized
that, I became happier and felt like a better person.

I’ve learned a lot about who I am as a student. I thought I had a good grasp on things
leaving high school, but this class really helped me see my full potential as shown in
the “believing in myself.” I will definitely take what I’ve learned and put it to good use
for the rest of my college career.
