The case study discusses the potential of drone delivery and the challenges that need to be addressed before it becomes widespread.
Key takeaways:
Drone delivery is in its early stages: Amazon's trial in the UK demonstrates the potential for faster deliveries, but it's still limited by regulations and technology.
Regulations are a major hurdle: Safety concerns around drone collisions with airplanes and people have led to restrictions on flight height and location.
Other challenges exist: Who will use drone delivery the most? Is it cost-effective compared to traditional delivery trucks?
Discussion questions:
Managerial challenges: Integrating drones requires planning for new infrastructure, training staff, and navigating regulations. There are also marketing and recruitment considerations specific to this technology.
External forces vary by country: Regulations, consumer acceptance, and infrastructure all differ between countries.
Demographics matter: Younger generations might be more receptive to drone delivery, while older populations might have concerns.
Stakeholders for Amazon: Customers, regulators, aviation authorities, and competitors are all stakeholders. Regulators likely hold the greatest influence as they determine the feasibility of drone delivery.
2. Three favorite assignments
1. Self Assessment
I thought this was interesting because it gave me a chance to learn things about myself I
did not previously realize. Knowing my scores and what I needed to improve on gave
me the opportunity to fix the things I do not like. It was cool to see the progress from
the first assessment and the last.
2. Financial Avenue Assignment
This was interesting to see how money is being spent and ways to save money in the
future. Actually being able to enter my information was cool so I could actualy see what
was best for me. I might use financial avenue again in the future.
3. Module 3 Discussion
I liked this assignment because I enjoyed learning the difference between shallow and
deep processing. I never knew the specifics behind this theory and it is very interesting.
This information will be very useful in the future.
3. Favorite Journal Entries
1. Journal entry 8
In journal entry 8 I learned how harsh I am on myself. I did not realize how
judgmental I am towards myself until completing this assignment. This really
helped m to be more positive towards myself.
2. Journal entry 13
In this assignment I saw how much time I waste. I really was so amazed at how
much time I spend in quadrant 4. I always thought I was good at managing
time but I really am not.
3. Journal entry 29
This entry allowed me to explore my emotions. It was interesting looking at
back on how I felt in a certain situation and feeling the current emotions and
how things could have been handled differently. I learned a lot from this entry.
4. My favorite week
Week 1 was my favorite class because I got to look at our future
assignments and we started off strong with the self assessment. I was
excited for the course.

6. Self Assessment scores
I have learned to manage time better in order to be more successful. I have learned to focus on the
things that are important and get those done first. And I have also learned how to study and effectively
