Her favorite journals helped her manage stress, use time wisely, and reaffirm her values. In module 7, a video on memory and learning most helped her exam preparation. Her goals are to earn a dental hygiene degree, work as a hygienist, and be a successful mom, and her dreams include providing dental care on mission trips, visiting every state, family trips to Disney and Switzerland.
Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. By understanding these aspects, students can gain a comprehensive view of synthetic fiber production, its impact on society and the environment, and the potential for future innovations. Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.
A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

1. Courtney Mobbs
Major: Dental Hygiene
Personal Affirmation: I am a strong-willed, self-motivated,
caring woman, and I will achieve my goals, finding happiness
every step of the way.
2. Scavenger Hunt: I enjoyed this assignment because I found thing that Grayson offered that
I otherwise wouldn’t have known existed. By doing this assignment I found out times and
locations of services, should I ever need them. Now that I now where these services are, I
can tell my friends and family how to utilize them, even if I never do.
• Service Learning Project: I loved doing
this assignment for a couple of reasons.
One, because I love helping people. I have
been meaning to find way to give back, but
couldn’t find time to do it (or just kept
coming up with excuses?). Second, after
doing the written assignment and
reflecting on how much I enjoyed it, it has
inspired me to move on to another Service
Project.
• How People Learn (Discussion): I liked
watching this video as it has helped me
realize why I wasn’t retaining some of the
material in my other courses. I also liked
that it was a discussion board. For me,
reading how other people learn has given
me even more ideas and tips to
adequately study and prepare for exams
and to retain information beyond the
courses.
3. Favorite Journals:
• Journal Entry 8: I enjoyed this journal because it allowed me to physically write
down what I was stressed about. I was able to write how I felt during that time
and then I learned how I could have avoided that stress all together by just asking
a simple question. This assignment has taught me how to avoid this same kind of
stress in my future semesters and other personal situations outside of school.
• Journal Entry 13: I loved this journal because it has helped in a couple of ways. By
writing down the 15 actions that I did in two days, I was able to see where and
how I spending my time. It allowed me to visually see where I needed to spend
more time and how I could wisely make the best of my time.
• Journal Entry 28: In this journal I was able to talk about one of my personal
values as a person. It reminded me that even when my limits are tested, I can stay
calm and do the right thing. This journal proved to me that my values are
important to keep and that it pays to be nice!
4. Favorite Module: #7
Adopting Lifelong Learning, Problem Solving and Memory and
Information Processing:
The video that “Putting the Principle into Practice” by Dr. Chew was the video that
helped me personally the most. Not only did Dr. Chew help me, reading my classmates
posts helped me and gave me tips on how to better prepare for an exam. The blog
reflection reinforced how I should learn from the start to better retain information
that I though I already knew the answer to.
5. Favorite Lessons
• Lesson #1-Mastering Self-Management
• Lesson #2- Goal Setting Assignment
• Journal Entry 23
• I will use all three of these as I continue my journey as a student and in my
personal life!

• Looking back at my scores, I have grown in most of
the areas which made me more proud of myself. It
also reflected in my other courses as well.
However, I was surprised that there were a few
areas that I made a significantly lower score on.
Such as: Mastering Self-management, Employing
interdependence, and Developing emotional
intelligence. At first I was a little disappointed in
these score, but I thought to myself “maybe the
second time around I was being more honest with
myself?”. Either way, I plan to still work on these
areas as I believe that they can help me succeed in
life and school.
