In showrooms it s important to include all form of lighting (general, task, and decorative) into the
space to create a cohesive lighting design that showcases the products that are being lit. Lighting
can be used to direct focus to certain products, and create paths for customers to follow. It is good
to consider the flexibility of the fixtures placed, to allow for adjustment when store displays are
changed. Making sure the color rendering of the lamps is high quality, so the clients know what the
products actually look like. Keeping maintenance easy is important, because products that are not
lighting properly will not sell. Layered lighting techniques must support the plan of the space and

Project Based Learning is a teaching method that allows students to gain knowledge and skills
by working for an extended period of time to investigate and respond to an engaging and
complex question, problem, or challenge. Through this approach students acquire a deeper
knowledge through active exploration of real world challenges and problems. Beautiful Stuff! is
a book written by Cathy Weisman Topal and Lella Gandini that shares the journey of real teachers
in a real school who were inspired by educators from Reggio Emilia, Italy. Cathy Topal spent two
mornings a week in the preschool and kindergarten as a visual aid teacher. Lella Gandini consulted
with teachers about aspects of the Reggio Emilia approach. The teachers in book Rite Harris and
Debbie Grubbs observed and recorded what happens when the focus is on process rather than
product in project based learning. The book provides approaches on how to nurture the creativity
of children, which is a key part in a child s development. In my paper I will summarize the five
chapters within the book, along with providing two researched based article on project based
learning (PBL), and give insight into my beliefs of project work with children.

Both Dante Alighieri s Inferno and Edmund Spenser s The Faerie Queene depict wooded forests
wrought with transformed men as trees. In the Inferno and The Faerie Queene an existential
conundrum of compromised identities leaves Pier della Vigne and Fraudubio sans human choice.
Dehumanized and disfigured, the individuals that comprise the trees still retain human qualities like
talking, breathing, and, even, bleeding under certain circumstances. Within each space, whether it
is considered a definite locus amoenus or a locus horribilis, the most significant human attribute to
which these trees cling is bleeding and thus they have a small handful of feelings and emotions still
within each of them. Instead of their ripped branches symbolizing death and decay, the breaking of
the branches within Inferno13 and The Faerie Queene1.2, give the trees life as if nothing has
changed. While the bleeding infers a loss of identity in both, redeemable only for one of the two, it
also lets their stories be told. Their stories, sad in nature, have redemptive qualities and move the
two pilgrims that listen to their doleful tales. The Inferno illustrates the journey of Dante the

In the book, Bread and Roses by Bruce Watson, the textile mill workers went on strike to stand
for what s right in Lawrence Massachusetts January 12, 1912. Nearly 30,000 textile workers
walked off their jobs, for 3 months. Workers were furious as they paraded, picketed and stood up
violently with authorities. As they demanded better working conditions, and pay to feed their
families. This strike shook America in many ways leaving Mill owners devastated without workers
to work in their textile mills.
There were strikes before and after but nothing like the Lawrence strike, it was a milestone for the
city, and broadly for labor history and the textile industry, and American immigration. About 27,000
workers were affected with immediate results as wage increased from five to twenty five percent,
overtime pay and a premium system . The aftermath of the strike rippled throughout New England
as textile workers were given a wage increase of five to seven percent. Many textile workers were
satisfied with the higher wages and the new conditions that were given. But it was not enough
because they were practically still poor with bad wages.
Working children in textile mills would get abused for not doing their job good enough or fast
enough in 1912. That wasn t freedom they would get punished for half the pay of a grown man

product liabilities, etc. are not seen as detrimental to society. The UCR and NCVS reports tend
to focus more on street crime as apposed to white collar crimes. This can lead the public to
believe contrary to reality. When researching this comparison, we will find an overwhelming
disparity which shows that white collar crime affect society far worse than street crime in the form
of financial cost, property lose or damage, and personal injury or death (Robinson 2011).

Encounters Change In The TV Series The Walking Dead
The hit TV series, The Walking Dead is about a small group of people trying to survive the
apocalypse. Along with trying to survive the undead, the main characters also encounter many
conflicts with other survivors. These encounters change the main characters drastically; we see
many personality changes because of the horrific events that happen along their journey. This
story is not all about fighting the undead, it also shows how the main characters adapt to their
surroundings, by making a shelter, finding food, and try to live as closely as they can to a normal
