The Threat Of Insider Threats
The threat of insider threats within our company is made possible by emerging technologies. It is
important that a security polices and training be required to assist in preventing these threats from
occurring. Insider threats come from people who attempt to gain access to our systems in order to
cause problems to our organization. It has been estimated that insider threats make up to 30% of all
major security breaches. These threats include sabotage, theft, fraud, black mail, and violent actions. It
is important to note people who commit such acts are normally former employees, current employees,
and third party contractors. The following security proposal should be implemented with great hast
due to the nature of our work overseas (Deloitte, 2016).
The input of the shareholders involved in the decision making process is a key element to the success
of the implementation of our security prevention program. The feedback from employees will assist in
identifying the best recourse in attempting to stave off insider threats to secure our information
networks. For example, stakeholder meetings should include representatives from each section
affected by this potential threat. The governance committee should include the program manager,
assistant program manager, senior operations officers, team leaders and Senior U.S Army personnel.
The meetings will be open forum based which will assist in resolving issues, setting goals, and
prioritizing tasks to ensure a smooth implementation

Structural Functionalism And Family Analysis
Structural Functionalism is a theory in sociology which states that each part of society is necessary for
the functioning of the social organism. There are several elements in the functionalist paradigm which
explain how society functions in order to maintain the social organism and keep it alive. These
elements of functionalisms are cohesion, integration, solidarity, and equilibrium. These elements
explain how society is divided into different functional parts, with each part depending on the next
adding up to the structural whole of society. Under the structural functional paradigm we see the
family structure which is viewed as a small social group which is related by blood Ancestor or
affection. Sharing common goals and values, they may live together and are involved in child rearing

The family is viewed mainly as the nuclear family as in mother, father, and children although the
family structure had changed over time with the extended family, single parent families and on word.
The family structure s main functions are reproduction, education, and the economy. Without these
functions society on a whole would not exist. In the case of education we place women in the role of
raising, nurturing, and educating the children with in the home instilling values and norms while the
father figure took on the role of being the financial provider, and providing security for the family. The
family structure plays a very important role as through reproduction the replace members, who have

A Man And A Doll. Society As A Unit, Has Been Pushing Towards
A Man and a Doll
Society as a unit, has been pushing towards the ideal state of living throughout most of history. People
had used symbols and ideas to get points across to help push and fix where society has holes to further
integrate the perfect principles that will then replace social norms, and break through what once was a
flawed belief system. the social rights activist Malcom X was one of these icons who fought to create
a better world for African Americans. The child s toy Barbie, was a symbol towards women and
pushed the idea of that women can push through the ideals that society wanted them to be. Both for a
cause, one plastic, one man, both with an idea.

The three main key events that are included in the novel include the crucial reasoning to why Malcolm
expressed himself the way he did. The events that distinguished Malcolm s character were racial
identity, systemic oppression, and integration v separation.
Ruth Handler created Barbie, after noticing her daughter playing with paper dolls and she was playing
the role of a mother, as most women were expected to be. The basic standard for women were to be a
housewife, and most young girl s toys were children or infants. Ms. Handler wanted to influence
young girls to be anything they wanted. Barbie s purpose was to be an adult to further portray the
young girl s dreams, which is why she specifically sought out an adult woman to depict her doll, this
way when young girls play pretend they would seek a better future outside of motherhood.
Both Malcolm x and Barbie received a great deal of criticism before becoming famous and influential,
Malcolm x was viewed as a racist and a criminal, he was put in jail and spent seven years there. In jail
was called Satan for cursing at God multiple times, but it was then that he had met another cell mate,
John Bembry and realized that he was trying to be someone that he was not; the white man and he
then developed hatred and anger for all those who were white. the devil white man cut these black

The Changing Choice In The Kite Runner By Khaled Hosseini
Have you ever made a choice that has changed your life forever whether it was in a good or bad way?
Well one choice you make can change someone s life forever whether it s in a good way or bad way.
Here in America we mostly see one choice change our lives for the better like being in a relationship,
taking a job oppurtunity, going to college to get a career, all of these things change our lives for the
better. In afghanistan a lot of their choices change their lives for the worst such as deciding not to
follow their dress code, bullying others because of what they are, not following the Taliban s rules that
they have to follow or they would get hurt. Khaled Hosseini s, The Kite Runner, teaches the reader
that one choice can change your life forever through Amir letting Hassan get bullied and Amir getting
rid of Hassan.
In The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini the main character Amir makes a choice that changes his life
forever, which was to let Hassan get bullied and hurt by Assef. It was after the kite running game
Hassan left and nobody knew where he went. Amir was searching all over for him and found him in
an alley. In the alley Hassan was with Assef and Assefs friends, they were bullying him. Amir was
going to save him but did not. They just continued to bully Hassan and eventually raped him because
he was being rude to Assef and Amir just stood there and ran away. Hosseini insist that, In the end i
ran. I ran because I was a coward. I was afraid of Assef and what

The Characters Play A Significant Role In Doctor s Wife
The characters play a significant role in the novel because they each have a different role they are to
play. For example, Dora seems like a strict mother because in her restaurant, bear flag, no one is
allowed to drink hard liquor or use profanity. She is seen as generous because of the way she spends
her money. She is willing to paid peoples grocery bills when needed and feed others as needed. On the
other hand, Doc seems like a gentle human being because he is interesting helping the victims and
delivering food. I see him as a person that puts others first before himself. Doc is a popular man and
everyone comes to him because of him going to college. I believe the characters come together as a
whole to help the reader better understand

Courage is The Right Stuff by Tom Wolfe Essay example
Courage is The Right Stuff by Tom Wolfe
Tom Wolfe s novel The Right Stuff, gives an accurate description into the lives of the first astronauts
and rocket powered aircraft test pilots, from their careers before, during, and after their selection to
become astronauts, through to their private home lives. All throughout his book, Wolfe refers to the
right stuff and this righteous stuff without ever saying upfront what the stuff really is. I have
concluded that throughout the story, the right stuff is simply courage. I would personally define
courage as: The willingness to put yourself in a potentially dangerous situation. It is never easy to put
yourself into a dangerous position, this is because our brain is programmed for ... Show more content

You name it; they probably had to go through it during the selection process and training aspects for
the job. When Allen Shepard became the first American in space, Wolfe describes his whole flight
from the 4 hour plus delay in launch time all the way down to his splash down in the Atlantic Ocean.
While telling this part of his story, Wolfe is always telling about the reference into Shepard s training
and comparing it to the actual flight that was taking place, even the humorous instance when Shepard
needed to relieve his bladder . Overall, that flight experience, according to Wolfe, was not as intense
as the training that Shepard had gone through. The routine of the training program kept Shepard s
mind on the job throughout the flight and allowed him to accomplish the flight tests that he was sent
up there to do. He kept going over the program of events in his head knowing exactly how much time
he had to accomplish each task before he had to move onto the next task. Another example of how
training proved to accompany courage as the right stuff is when test pilot Chuck Yeager was flying the
rocket powered NF 104 when the aircraft went into a flat spin and he lost control of it. While the
aircraft was plummeting down to Earth from 104,000 feet at 150 per second, Yeager was able to stay
calm and run through all the scenarios that he had been trained in, and then some extra attempts to
restart the aircraft and save it from destruction instead of

School Uniforms Ethos
School uniforms are a debatable topic that has been going on for years. Fashion has began to overrule
schools rather than education. There are quite some people who believe school uniforms should not be
enforced, however, many also believe that school uniforms are the best things for students. School
uniforms are a great resource and will cause less chaos in schools because they will ensure equality,
provide safety to the school, and are cost effective. Students need to not get so caught up in popularity,
and focus more towards their future. Appearance and popularity is not what is going to get students
through life, as much as they believe it will. If more schools provide school uniforms, this will ensure
equality. Students can go to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Betrayal In Aesope s Fable
Betrayal can cause a person to crumble. It comes in many different forms and some are more
damaging than others. Friend, country and family betrayal exist in our worlicity of family is the most
damaging form of betrayal because a person spends the entirety of their life with their family. The
betrayal of a friend is destructive because people choose their friends to be part of their life. In Aesope
s Fable The Frog and the Mouse the mouse treated the frog to an elaborate dinner because they are
friends. The frog repays the mouse by tying the mouse s foot to his own and drowning him in a pond.
Before the mouse dies, he states, Even if I m dead and you re still alive, I will get my revenge! . That
is precisely what happens when a raven plucks both the frog and the dead mouse from the pond and
eats them. The destruction of friendship is apparent in Justin Timberlake s song Cry Me a River . He
sings Now there s just no chance for you and me, there ll never be . Timberlake sings this song after he
found out that his girlfriend had cheated on him, thus her betrayal of their relationship destroyed their
friendship. Therefore, these examples show the destruction caused by the betrayal of a friend. ... Show

A Jazz Concert Analysis
Composed by Leonardo Bernstein in 1949, Prelude, Fugue, and Riffs for Solo Clarinet and Jazz
Ensemble is the short music which is classified as the classical concert but has more musical elements
of jazz music. The instruments used in this music are solo clarinet, saxes and trumpets in fives, four
trombones, piano, string bass, and drums. ( Leonard Bernstein Prelude, Fugue Riffs, for Clarinet Jazz
Ensemble. ) The music has three movements and each title of these clearly represent what kind pieces
are these. (ThePhiladelphiaOrchestra 23) The first movement is the prelude, an introduction to the
music, played by brass instruments. The texture of this movement is mostly homophonic, the energetic

Thus, many people would think that there is no reason to participate actual concerts by spending
money. I have the same opinion, even since I have fascinated by some music the orchestra played. The
technology like digital records today allows us to listen to high quality music, or sometimes these have
even better quality than real concerts. In fact, the symphony I listed was almost nothing different from
the video on YouTube except the feeling in terms of the atmosphere. However, I realized this
atmosphere is the most important advantage of actual concert and the reason why still so many people
love to listen to music at concert halls. Without these enthusiastic audiences, the field of music has
never developed and won t develop in the future.
The program guide was not only useful to get information about music that the orchestra played but
also contained interesting facts. The one thing I did not know before is how widely this concert hall
and orchestra are supported by communities, companies, and even individuals. On the last some pages

The Struggle Between Love And Hate In Shakespeare s Romeo...
In Shakespeare s cautionary tale Romeo and Juliet, there is constantly a struggle between love and
hate, causing tension throughout the play. But even the most powerful love simply can not conquer
this burning, consuming rage we see surrounding the love. In the end, hate is always the victor of the
struggle in fair Verona .
Firstly, we see how love has conquered hate through Romeo and Juliet s relationship. As Juliet says, it
s her only love sprung from (her) only hate . This oxymoron conveys how her love has seemingly
come from the hate surrounding it, it has survived despite there being overwhelming hate. We see that
this love is also giving them strength. In the balcony scene , Romeo says that her love makes him
proof from their enmity . ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When Tybalt challenges Romeo to a fight, he uses hateful, condescending language such as villain or
my man , attempting to anger Romeo and provoke him to fight. But Romeo does not rise to the
challenge, he chooses to love, as he is obliged to love Tybalt, as he loves Juliet. He responds in
affectionate tones calling Tybalt brother and insisting that he loves (him) more than (he) can devise .
This is also use of dramatic irony, as only the audience and Romeo know of this forbidden
relationship. All of the characters are incredibly confused as we see Mercutio believing this is a vile,
dishonourable submission . This attempt to keep peace failed dismally, as Mercutio chooses to fight.
Romeo quickly shifts from love to hate, when Mercutio is brutally slain, we see him choosing to have
fire eyed fury be (his) conduct . His metaphor emphasise how burning, unstoppable and enraged he is
at Tybalt. His view of love has shifted, ridding his love of Juliet temporarily to choose hate. He blames
love instead of praising it, saying it hast made (him) effeminate and weakened valour s shield . This
words have negative connotations of being weak, timid and powerless, and so the hate surrounding the
small love pushed Romeo to choose hate instead. The love just couldn t beat the hate in this

The History And Development Of The Ancient Greek Theatre
Our dramas, plays and theatres today are all originally inspired by the classic Greek theatres. The
classic Greek theatres can be said as the pioneer in theatricals. As early as 700 B.C., ancient Greek
theatre was originated. There are four qualities of ancient Greek theatre which are the occasions for its
performance, competitive element, choral element and the basis of the theatre.
The earliest theatres or dramas were staged during spring to honor the god Dionysus. This festival,
City Dionysia was established by the Athenian ruler named Pisistratus. In Greek mythology, Dionysus
was known as the son of Zeus, the only god who was born by one god and one mortal parent, Semele.
He was also known as the god of wine, fertility and revelry. He was raised by satyrs, killed,
dismembered and was actually reborn. While other gods had temples for themselves, the cult of
Dionysus was hold in the wood. It was believed that he could liberate and inspire man. It was also
believed that he could endow man with divine creativity. Thus, Dionysus was considered as a patron
of arts.
As had been mentioned earlier, the festival, City Dionysia featured competition such as in music,
dance, poetry and singing and prizes were awarded to the winners each year. Actors and playwrights
presented tragedies and comedies during the three days of this festival and they ... Show more content

There were several fortes to this work with increase and decrease in intensity. There was a lot of

first and second violins playing. There was a number of variations in the dynamics and the additions
of other instruments. I could distinguish at times the different instruments that were playing. The
thematic development was in the second movement. This lead to the well known dotted eight note
figure (program notes). The last movement included some jubilant modulations.

Global Security Challenges Facing The United States Military
There will be significant global security challenges facing the United States Military by 2025. The U.S
will face multiple, coinciding security issues from state actors and regional networks all taking full
benefit of rapid science and technological changes. Three overlapping conflicts which has the greatest
potential to influence state and non state actors and force the Armed Forces to restructure their
formations are Wars of Silicon, Iron, and Shadow. The United States must design an innovative
readiness and investment strategy to successfully deal with all three. These innovative concepts

capability, capacity, and readiness of the Joint Force. Joint Force 2025 will need to rebalance, be

Al Seckel Visual Illusions
Al Seckel, a cognitive neuroscientist, explores the idea that a violation in our visual perception can
cause us to feel a sense of joy during a TedTalk presentation in Monterey, California on February 26,
2004. He elaborates on this idea by presenting the audience with various examples of visual illusions
concerning a violation in depth, colour, shape, size, and etc. The lecture is packed with various types
of visual illusions ranging from old to new, from artists such as Leonardo Da Vinci to Arthur Ganson
and he even included several examples of the visual illusions he has created. His hypothesis regarding
the delight in visual illusions is correct, as throughout the lecture, when presented with new visual
illusions the audience is entertained and joyful.
Textual Connections
Several connections can be drawn between the topics and types of visual illusions covered in the
textbook and the types of visual illusion shown by Al Seckel in the TedTalk lecture. One of the
connections I was able to draw from reading the chapter in the textbook regarding visual illusions and
watching the TedTalk lecture was the violation of size, accomplished by using a converging line. The
textbook shows the Ponzo Illusion, where the line closer to the converging line is perceived as being
much larger than the line farther away from the converging line (Cramer et al., 2017). Al Seckel shows
an image he has created using the Ponzo Illusion, called Pick on Someone Your Own Size (Seckel,
2007). In

Evolution Of Photosynthesis Essay
Approximately 4.6 billion years ago, it is thought that as many of the giant disc shaped cloud of
material keeps spinning they collide with each other forming the sun and other smaller terrestrial
worlds like Earth. The solar winds had less impact on lighter elements and gravity slowly gathered
these gases and dust creating asteroids, comets, and moons.
Earth s rocky core formed first, with heavy elements colliding and binding together. Dense material
sank to the center, while the lighter pieces created the crust. The planet s magnetic field probably
formed around this time. Gravity captured some of the lighter elements that make up the planet s early
atmosphere.

Personal Leadership Style Paper
Introduction
The adoption of an effective leadership style is necessary to achieve Organizational goals and to
enhance productively. According to Riaz, Haider, (2010), organizations are expected to carry out tasks
with limited resource to the maximum level in order to maintain the competitive edge and sustain

violence among pregnant young women: a qualitative inquiry. The article title clearly explains the
research, without being too extensive, using extraneous words or explaining the results found. The
basic concept of a title should provide a summary of the content. A good title should be straight
forward; a poorly written title will defer readers. Key words serve as key elements in the article,
including intimate partner violence, women s health, early pregnancy, resilience, qualitative research.
Again allowing the reader to know precisely what the article consists of. The abstract of this article

highlighting key factors necessary. Everything declared in the article is present in the central text. The
abstract enables the reader to decipher if the article is of interest.

Although this is convenient for the researchers. As the researcher states in the limitations, the
conclusion may be different for less experienced participants or those who were trained differently.
There is no explanation as to why the participants chose to take part in the study, nor why others chose
to decline the opportunity. This would be valuable information as there may be a specific group of
people that decide to volunteer for research studies. The article is also unclear about how the
volunteers came to know about the research and what they were told before the research commenced.
Convenience sampling is most commonly used in larger scale studies and therefore seems an
outlandish method to use, as only 10 participants were used in this

Homeschooling Is An Effective Education
Mahatma Gandhi once said There is no school equal to a decent home and no teacher equal to a
virtuous parent. Homeschooling has evolved into a popular and fast growing alternative to traditional
schooling. In 2003, there was an estimated of 1.1 million homeschooled children, and in 2007
homeschooling had continued to grow to over 1.5 million. Opponents of the homeschooling method
argue that parents are not as qualified to educate their children as teachers are; therefore, their children
will not measure up to the academic level of traditionally schooled children. Additionally, they argue
that homeschooled children will not be on the same social level as children in regular schools and will
lack adequate social skills for the real ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Finally, other studies say that parents who home school are spending too much time with their kids
and are swaddling them. (Jeub) Homeschooling disproves all the arguments above. Jeub affirms that
parents are not their child s main educator, but their child learns independently because of his desire to
learn. No matter how qualified parents are, homeschooled children have proven to excel academically.
Also, homeschooling allows children to learn at their own pace. Every curriculum is designed for a
specific child. Individualized learning allows all children s needs to be met. Homeschooling gives
freedom to learn at their own level unlike public schools, where every child must learn a set
curriculum in order to keep up with the class. In response to the argument that homeschooled children
spend too much time with their parents, they actually have positive relationships with their parents and
other adults in the community. Instead of looking at adults as disciplinarians, many view adults as
their mentors as their jobs, other home school parents, or family friends. Lisa Revero adds that
homeschooling provides an environment for the family to learn and live together harmoniously and
frequently unlike a traditionally schooled family where spending family time is often rare. Life
revolves around jobs, endless carpools, sports games, and play practice, leaving little time for the
family to

Juvenile Prevention Programs
The Implementation of Juvenile Prevention Programs their Effectiveness A journal article, Effective
correctional intervention programs for juveniles: review and synthesis of meta analytic evidence,
written by Kim, Merlo and Benekos claim there are relevant factors that determine the effectiveness of
a juvenile corrections program. Such factors primarily include the knowledge that what works for
adults does not necessarily mean it is going to work for a juvenile. There is not a one size fits all
model that can be applied to youth and adult offenders (Kim, Merlo, Benekos, 2013). In response to
recidivism, if a juvenile is treated similarly to an adult, there is no guarantee there will be a

The Social Problem Of Crime
This information analysis focuses on the social problem computer crime, but more specifically
identity theft. In this paper, I analyzed six different articles from various sources. I chose cyber crime
as my topic because I have an interest in computers and coding. I also like to watch documentaries and
a television show on cybercrime scene investigations. Analyzing articles on this topic will help me
develop further knowledge on this topic and how it is considered a social problem in our society.
Computer crime refers to any violation of the law in which a computer is the target or means of
criminal activity (Mooney, Knox, Schacht, 2014, p.113). Computer crime is also known as
cybercrime. Cybercrime continues to have far reaching effects because it affects individuals,
companies, and organizations and is increasingly a problem in the globalized world we live in. This is
because we rely so much on cell phones, computers, and us many social network sites. Cybercrime is
considered a social problem because it negatively affects a large group of people in our society. In
2014, there were 1.5 million cyber attacks worldwide ( IBM Cyber Security Intelligence Index, 2015,
pg.13). One type of computer crime is identity theft. Identity theft is the use of someone else s
personal information to obtain credit or other economic rewards (Mooney, et al, 2014, pg.113).
Identity theft first became a crime in 1998, when Congress passed the Identity Theft and Assumption

Donatello Symbolism
Donatello around the mid 15th century creating a turning point in sculpture be adding meaning to his
creations as he watched them grow. Sarah McHam, wrote in her article titled Donatello s Bronze
David and Judith as Metaphors of Medici Rule in Florence the power of Donatello s bronze sculptures
and how they signaled a start for Florence during the Medici s Rule. The main argument of this article
focuses on the iconography and symbolism used in Donatello s David , and Judith and Holofernes.
Both are bronze and commissioned by the Medici family and located near each other. Both don t have
much in common outside of their placement and the idea of using old Greek and Roman poses, and
the idea of a hero and placing it in modern times. Another concept is the inspiration for Judith might
have been through a story titles Policraticus which emphasis murder and how powerful that sculpture
was in presenting that concept. There was no real evidence used that was quoted out, or presented to
us as someone else s ideas. McHam used all her own work and vision only relying on John of Salibury
s Policraticus to explain a possible connection and motivation for Judith. McHam did go back and

what the Medici family was and how they used these pieces of artwork. I especially love how much

each other besides that the Medici family commissioned them. Overall this article was enjoyable to

Struggle Of Infertility For Couples

Struggle of Infertility for Couples Couples dealing with infertility have many issues they may need
support with. Some of the biggest problems they may have can be physical, but it is important to
remember the psychological, emotional, and financial problems as well. Infertility is usually a
problem that requires assistance from other individuals and the many resources available in the
community. A couple may struggle for a long time if they try to go through infertility alone. An extra
burden on the relationship can be lightened if the couple seeks help from those around them, including
family, friends, and professionals. Some ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(These side effects have not been documented in men.) Other infertility medications may cause
depression, mania, irritability, and thinking problems. Patients and clinicians may find it hard to figure
out which reactions are psychological and which are caused by medications yet identifying causes is
essential for determining next steps. (The psychological impact of infertility and its treatment, 2009,
05). Knowledge about the side effects can help reduce anxiety and stress on the couple if they are
experienced. More complex infertility may require resources such as a sperm or egg bank for
something like in vitro fertilization. This is a process where a sperm and egg are fertilized in a culture
dish, and then implanted into a uterus. Many couples have success with this process, but it is an
expensive procedure. One reason a couple may need help with in vitro is financially because of the
expense. Insurance companies usually do not pay for in vitro, and it can cost over $10,000. Only 15
states mandate insurance coverage for infertility treatment, and the extent of coverage varies. Costs of
infertility treatments are significant. The average cost for an IVF cycle using fresh embryos, for
example, is $8,158, with an additional $3,000 to $5,000 per cycle for fertility drugs. For patients who
do not have insurance coverage or

Novel Analysis For Messenger
Novel Analysis for Messenger Plot and Theme In the novel there were many plots, but i m going to
list two of them. In the beginning of the novel a quote I chose Puzzled, he paused and listened. It was
not singing at all, Matty realized, but the rhythmic and mournful sound they called keening, the sound
of loss. (Pg.9). I chose this quote because this proves to us that Village is unique then other
communities. They not only accept people s differences they also keen when they lose someone. In the
end of the novel a quote I chose Wait for the true need, Matty. Don t spend the gift. (Pg.93). I chose
this quote because when Matty and Kira were in the Forest they had to hurry because the Forest was
making it difficult for them to pass through. Matty was remembering what Leader told him to wait for
when it was time to use his gift. This affects him because he doesn t waste it he saved it until it was
the right time to use it. The theme of the novel is one person s sharing of their gift can positively
impact and change the society. In the end of the novel Matty shared his gift with everyone he impacted
everyone because when the people of the Village went to the Trademart people had to give something
up in return for what they wanted. They all changed so when Matty shared his gift he turned those

Essay on The Perfect Teacher and Educated Man
When we were posed with the question What does an Educated Person look like? I was at a loss. But
as I went through my notes I realized how many phenomenal philosophers have played a part in
developing the basis for education in this country. I realized also that I could not answer the question
stated above with a singular philosopher s name. However, I do agree with definite points of
individual philosophers and have decided to create my own portrait of what an educated man (or
woman) would look like.
I start with the heart of Horace Mann because his heart was in the right place. He believed that
everyone should be enrolled in school. Mann thought that the common school experience was
something all students should be involved ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
What student can learn to the best of their potential when they are not seen as a person but as a future
person?
Mary Wallstonecraft s elbows are the next ingredients. She believed that male and female students
should be educated together in order to literally learn about each other and respect each other s
differences. She preached that there should be a focus on the family and learning near your home.
Along with Wallstonecraft is Catherine Beecher. Beecher advocated for the rights of women in the
field of education. She enforced the idea of exercise and its health benefits, especially for women, at a
time when the idea was considered taboo. Beecher had a hand in the advancement of female colleges
and although she did not believe in equal education for men and woman she did act as a catalyst for
the beginnings of female education.
Soon the feet of Rousseau must be added to my educated person. Rousseau adhered to the idea that
students should be allowed to grow on their own and form their own identities. Also, he did not
believe in the physical punishment of students. He believed in the natural state of things and the
freedom of man, which is necessary to instill truly free learning in students.
Emerson s mind is next. Emerson pushed for fullness and awe in every possible avenue life offers you.
He accepted women into his intellectual circle and he accepted them as equals. He stated that people

Long-Term Consequences Of Spanish Colonization
An event that opens and gives way to the beginning of the history of our American continent is the
exploration and colonization of Spain centuries ago. There were many generals and idealistic
Spaniards who explored the American regions taking with themselves many of our wealthiest
resources. The Exploration and colonization of the Spaniards did not only open the door but also and
accounted for the early stages of the North American continent. The Spanish began getting involved
with the different cultures that had already been living there. This would result in the suffering of the
continent.
The Spanish began to enslave and colonize the Native Americans and controlled many of the cultural
development that populated the continent. As a result, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
An example of this is the diseases to which the Spaniards exposed Native Americans during the period
of exploration, we have typhus and tuberculosis, diseases for which at that time the Native Americans
had no antibody too, so Native Americans were susceptible to infection, and thus they died in large
numbers. These diseases still exist nowadays and are affecting a very small percent of the American
population. Another is the fact that, many of the tribes that existed back then do not exist now because
the Spaniards destroyed them. As I highlighted a few of the negative consequences, I should also
mention some of the positive ones as well. Before the arrival of the Spanish, the Indians did not know
the use of gold and how rare it really was. The Native American natives did not have any better
weapons than arrows, bows, and weapons developed rustically. When the Spanish took over America,
they brought their weapons with them. Although Spaniards introduced diseases, some of the
missionaries brought medicine with them as a more positive influence. Also, the Spanish were among
the first to distinctively map areas of North and South America and founded communities that became
cities, some of which have lasted into modern times. Three of the four oldest cities in the United
States were founded by the Spanish Florida, New Mexico, Santa Fe, St. Augustine, and San Antonio,

the year was extremely hot with new records being made and broken at regular intervals. Before the

the means of finding a way to get something to eat and wear. Every possible crack was filled, sheets
were placed over the windows and blankets were hung behind the doors. Often the places were so
tightly plugged against all the dust that the houses became extremely hot and stuffy. The clouds

Globalization Is A New Of Level Of Interdependence
Globalization has produced a new of level of interdependence among us. The economy and
multinational supply chains do not abide by political boundaries. A computer ordered in Brazil is
designed in California and assembled in several other countries. Economic integration was the first
strong evidence of a new era Eduardo Paes. It can be seen now that globalization is something that
cannot be stopped. This process of international integration has come as a result of an interchange of
world views, ideas, product, and other aspects of different cultures. The rapid development of
transportation and telecommunication and furthermore the internet, has boosted globalization greatly
and as a result a greater interdependence of economic and cultural activities. Interdependence is one
the main factors of the economic welfare of the countries. Both regional and international
organizations preach this idea among their member states and this is one of their main objectives.
Nevertheless regional and international organizations have different geographical areas of operations
and different laws which at some cases might result into conflict with each other. Both the European
Union and NATO, in which I ll focus my essay on, show proof that there might be cases where the UN
s and international law s influence is nullified. I believe that regional organizations should be in a
continuous cooperation with the international organizations, but it should be regional organizations as

NOT PRIDE BUT FREEDOM: Rhetorical Analysis of John F. Kennedy s Inaugural Address Tanner
A. Woody Anderson University On January 20, 1961, John Fitzgerald Kennedy delivered a speech
with a backdrop of snow and a twenty degree wind blowing in his face in Washington D.C. In his
speech, he starts off with saying that his victory is not for a party but it is for freedom. At the climax
of his speech, JFK delivers a call to action which is also the most well known line from his speech:
...ask not what your country can do for you, but ask what you can do for your country. Following that
extraordinary remark, he extends that call to the world by asking what they can all do together for the
freedom of the world. Type, Purpose, and Audience This speech was not just a ceremonial speech, it
also played the praise and blame game with Russia and also casted a vision for America and the role
that it would play in the world. After the majority of the speech was finished, Kennedy stated that all
this will not be finished in the first one hundred days. Nor will it be finished in the first one thousand
days, nor in the life of this Administration, nor even perhaps in our lifetime on this planet. But let us
begin, to see a world where peace is prominent (Line 21). Kennedy placed special emphasis on his
role as the voice of a new generation, a group with exceptional values and qualities, confirming that

manipulation of an audience for a purpose, as John Greison says documentary film is the creative

Interviews are a very common documentary direct address technique as it allows people to speak
directly about events while being subtly lead by questions from the filmmaker. Only a short amount of
footage is shown from the interview, taken from hours of shooting to give the documentary a sense of
realism. In the garden scene we can see the use of jump cuts and the cutting room floor. Many other
techniques were used to back up the realism of the interview such as the natural lighting while he was
being interviewed, giving the impression that it was all naturally done. Direct address is often used to
hide the bias in documentaries, to show us more than one person s view.
Catfish, directed by filmmakers Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost, displayed a lot of direct address.

Qantas s Pricing Strategy
PRICING
Prices reflect the unique value of the brand to a certain extent. Brand positioning builds the unique
brand image in the minds of consumers, so price setting and adjustments must adapt brand
positioning, and brand positioning shows the brand s unique value through price (Kotler, 2013, p.

lower pricing in accordance to the market demand. The number of travellers requiring Qantas services,
prompt the airline to adjust pricing rates accordingly.

A recent article by Times that the use of smartphones is to blame for the drastic drop in attention span.
In 2010, the average attention span of a person was 12 seconds, compared to the current attention span

skills have gone up from quickly browsing and scanning the internet (Greenfield). To stay intelligent,
people must compensate for the disadvantages of the internet while using its benefits to one s mental

and competitions using skills, such as painting or music (Douglas). Competitions works to help one s
attention span by forcing the participant to focus on a specific goal and giving incentives for if the

It is important that a security polices and training be required to assist in preventing these threats from occurring. Insider threats come from people who attempt to gain access to our systems in order to cause problems to our organization. It has been estimated that insider threats make up to 30% of all major security breaches. These threats include sabotage, theft, fraud, black mail, and violent actions. It is important to note people who commit such acts are normally former employees, current employees, and third party contractors. The following security proposal should be implemented with great hast due to the nature of our work overseas (Deloitte, 2016). The input of the shareholders involved in the decision making process is a key element to the success of the implementation of our security prevention program. For example, stakeholder meetings should include representatives from each section affected by this potential threat. • 4. A Man And A Doll. Society As A Unit, Has Been Pushing Towards A Man and a Doll Society as a unit, has been pushing towards the ideal state of living throughout most of history. People had used symbols and ideas to get points across to help push and fix where society has holes to further integrate the perfect principles that will then replace social norms, and break through what once was a flawed belief system. the social rights activist Malcom X was one of these icons who fought to create a better world for African Americans. The child s toy Barbie, was a symbol towards women and pushed the idea of that women can push through the ideals that society wanted them to be. The three main key events that are included in the novel include the crucial reasoning to why Malcolm expressed himself the way he did. The events that distinguished Malcolm s character were racial identity, systemic oppression, and integration v separation. Ruth Handler created Barbie, after noticing her daughter playing with paper dolls and she was playing the role of a mother, as most women were expected to be. The basic standard for women were to be a housewife, and most young girl s toys were children or infants. Ms. Handler wanted to influence young girls to be anything they wanted. Barbie s purpose was to be an adult to further portray the young girl s dreams, which is why she specifically sought out an adult woman to depict her doll, this way when young girls play pretend they would seek a better future outside of motherhood. Both Malcolm x and Barbie received a great deal of criticism before becoming famous and influential, Malcolm x was viewed as a racist and a criminal, he was put in jail and spent seven years there. Here in America we mostly see one choice change our lives for the better like being in a relationship, taking a job oppurtunity, going to college to get a career, all of these things change our lives for the better. Courage is The Right Stuff by Tom Wolfe Essay example Courage is The Right Stuff by Tom Wolfe Tom Wolfe s novel The Right Stuff, gives an accurate description into the lives of the first astronauts and rocket powered aircraft test pilots, from their careers before, during, and after their selection to become astronauts, through to their private home lives. All throughout his book, Wolfe refers to the right stuff and this righteous stuff without ever saying upfront what the stuff really is. I have concluded that throughout the story, the right stuff is simply courage. I would personally define courage as: The willingness to put yourself in a potentially dangerous situation. You name it; they probably had to go through it during the selection process and training aspects for the job. When Allen Shepard became the first American in space, Wolfe describes his whole flight from the 4 hour plus delay in launch time all the way down to his splash down in the Atlantic Ocean. While telling this part of his story, Wolfe is always telling about the reference into Shepard s training and comparing it to the actual flight that was taking place, even the humorous instance when Shepard needed to relieve his bladder . Overall, that flight experience, according to Wolfe, was not as intense as the training that Shepard had gone through. The routine of the training program kept Shepard s mind on the job throughout the flight and allowed him to accomplish the flight tests that he was sent up there to do. He kept going over the program of events in his head knowing exactly how much time he had to accomplish each task before he had to move onto the next task. Another example of how training proved to accompany courage as the right stuff is when test pilot Chuck Yeager was flying the rocket powered NF 104 when the aircraft went into a flat spin and he lost control of it. While the aircraft was plummeting down to Earth from 104,000 feet at 150 per second, Yeager was able to stay calm and run through all the scenarios that he had been trained in, and then some extra attempts to restart the aircraft and save it from destruction instead of ... Friend, country and family betrayal exist in our worlicity of family is the most damaging form of betrayal because a person spends the entirety of their life with their family. The betrayal of a friend is destructive because people choose their friends to be part of their life. In Aesope s Fable The Frog and the Mouse the mouse treated the frog to an elaborate dinner because they are friends. The frog repays the mouse by tying the mouse s foot to his own and drowning him in a pond. Before the mouse dies, he states, Even if I m dead and you re still alive, I will get my revenge! . That is precisely what happens when a raven plucks both the frog and the dead mouse from the pond and eats them. The destruction of friendship is apparent in Justin Timberlake s song Cry Me a River . He sings Now there s just no chance for you and me, there ll never be . • 14. The Struggle Between Love And Hate In Shakespeare s Romeo... In Shakespeare s cautionary tale Romeo and Juliet, there is constantly a struggle between love and hate, causing tension throughout the play. But even the most powerful love simply can not conquer this burning, consuming rage we see surrounding the love. In the end, hate is always the victor of the struggle in fair Verona . Firstly, we see how love has conquered hate through Romeo and Juliet s relationship. As Juliet says, it s her only love sprung from (her) only hate . This oxymoron conveys how her love has seemingly come from the hate surrounding it, it has survived despite there being overwhelming hate. We see that this love is also giving them strength. He responds in affectionate tones calling Tybalt brother and insisting that he loves (him) more than (he) can devise . This is also use of dramatic irony, as only the audience and Romeo know of this forbidden relationship. All of the characters are incredibly confused as we see Mercutio believing this is a vile, dishonourable submission . This attempt to keep peace failed dismally, as Mercutio chooses to fight. Romeo quickly shifts from love to hate, when Mercutio is brutally slain, we see him choosing to have fire eyed fury be (his) conduct . His metaphor emphasise how burning, unstoppable and enraged he is at Tybalt. His view of love has shifted, ridding his love of Juliet temporarily to choose hate. He blames love instead of praising it, saying it hast made (him) effeminate and weakened valour s shield . There are four qualities of ancient Greek theatre which are the occasions for its performance, competitive element, choral element and the basis of the theatre. The earliest theatres or dramas were staged during spring to honor the god Dionysus. This festival, City Dionysia was established by the Athenian ruler named Pisistratus. In Greek mythology, Dionysus was known as the son of Zeus, the only god who was born by one god and one mortal parent, Semele. He was also known as the god of wine, fertility and revelry. He was raised by satyrs, killed, dismembered and was actually reborn. While other gods had temples for themselves, the cult of Dionysus was hold in the wood. It was believed that he could liberate and inspire man. It was also believed that he could endow man with divine creativity. Thus, Dionysus was considered as a patron of arts. (Jeub) Homeschooling disproves all the arguments above. Jeub affirms that parents are not their child s main educator, but their child learns independently because of his desire to learn. No matter how qualified parents are, homeschooled children have proven to excel academically. Also, homeschooling allows children to learn at their own pace. Every curriculum is designed for a specific child. Individualized learning allows all children s needs to be met. Homeschooling gives freedom to learn at their own level unlike public schools, where every child must learn a set curriculum in order to keep up with the class. In response to the argument that homeschooled children spend too much time with their parents, they actually have positive relationships with their parents and other adults in the community. Instead of looking at adults as disciplinarians, many view adults as their mentors as their jobs, other home school parents, or family friends. Also, he did not believe in the physical punishment of students. He believed in the natural state of things and the freedom of man, which is necessary to instill truly free learning in students. Emerson s mind is next. Emerson pushed for fullness and awe in every possible avenue life offers you. He accepted women into his intellectual circle and he accepted them as equals. • 31. Long-Term Consequences Of Spanish Colonization An event that opens and gives way to the beginning of the history of our American continent is the exploration and colonization of Spain centuries ago. There were many generals and idealistic Spaniards who explored the American regions taking with themselves many of our wealthiest resources. The Exploration and colonization of the Spaniards did not only open the door but also and accounted for the early stages of the North American continent. The Spanish began getting involved with the different cultures that had already been living there. This would result in the suffering of the continent. The Spanish began to enslave and colonize the Native Americans and controlled many of the cultural development that populated the continent. As a result, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... An example of this is the diseases to which the Spaniards exposed Native Americans during the period of exploration, we have typhus and tuberculosis, diseases for which at that time the Native Americans had no antibody too, so Native Americans were susceptible to infection, and thus they died in large numbers. These diseases still exist nowadays and are affecting a very small percent of the American population. Another is the fact that, many of the tribes that existed back then do not exist now because the Spaniards destroyed them. As I highlighted a few of the negative consequences, I should also mention some of the positive ones as well. Before the arrival of the Spanish, the Indians did not know the use of gold and how rare it really was. The Native American natives did not have any better weapons than arrows, bows, and weapons developed rustically. When the Spanish took over America, they brought their weapons with them. Although Spaniards introduced diseases, some of the missionaries brought medicine with them as a more positive influence. Also, the Spanish were among the first to distinctively map areas of North and South America and founded communities that became cities, some of which have lasted into modern times. Three of the four oldest cities in the United States were founded by the Spanish Florida, New Mexico, Santa Fe, St. Augustine, and San Antonio, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Dust Bowl The Dust Bowl was a treacherous storm, which occurred in the years of the 1930 s, which affected the Midwestern people, an example the farmers, which taught us new technologies and methods of farming. John Steinbeck wrote in his novel from 1939 The Grapes of Wrath: And then the dispossessed were drawn west from Kansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Texas; from Nevada and Arkansas, families, tribes, dusted out, Caravans, carloads, and homeless. Totals of 20,000, 50,000, 100,000, and 200,000 people. They streamed over the mountains, hungry and restless. We got no place to live. Like ants scurrying for work, food, and most of all for land. Although the dirt storms were fewer in 1934, it was the year, which brought the Dust Bowl national attention. In May, a severe storm blew dirt from Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas as Far as New York City and Washington D.C. In spite of the terrific storm in May, the year 1934 was pleasant respite from the blowing dirt and tornadoes of the previous year. But nature had another trick up her sleeve, the year was extremely hot with new records being made and broken at regular intervals. Before the year had run its course, hundreds of people in Texas, Colorado, Oklahoma and Kansas had died from the heat. In 1935, this storm was followed by another and another in rapid succession. A description of the storm of coming was made by a farmer: The storm caused a tremendous amount of damage and suffering. A giant dust storm engulfs Boise City. Tremendous winds rolled up to two miles high, and stretched out a hundred miles with speeds faster than 50 miles per hour. The storms destroyed vast areas of the Great Plains farmland. The methods of fighting the dust were as many, and varied as were the means of finding a way to get something to eat and wear. Every possible crack was filled, sheets were placed over the windows and blankets were hung behind the doors. Often the places were so tightly plugged against all the dust that the houses became extremely hot and stuffy. The clouds appeared on the horizons with a thunderous roar. The economy and multinational supply chains do not abide by political boundaries. A computer ordered in Brazil is designed in California and assembled in several other countries. Economic integration was the first strong evidence of a new era Eduardo Paes. It can be seen now that globalization is something that cannot be stopped. This process of international integration has come as a result of an interchange of world views, ideas, product, and other aspects of different cultures. The rapid development of transportation and telecommunication and furthermore the internet, has boosted globalization greatly and as a result a greater interdependence of economic and cultural activities. Interdependence is one the main factors of the economic welfare of the countries. Both regional and international organizations preach this idea among their member states and this is one of their main objectives. Nevertheless regional and international organizations have different geographical areas of operations and different laws which at some cases might result into conflict with each other. Both the European Union and NATO, in which I ll focus my essay on, show proof that there might be cases where the UN s and international law s influence is nullified. Woody Anderson University On January 20, 1961, John Fitzgerald Kennedy delivered a speech with a backdrop of snow and a twenty degree wind blowing in his face in Washington D.C. In his speech, he starts off with saying that his victory is not for a party but it is for freedom. At the climax of his speech, JFK delivers a call to action which is also the most well known line from his speech: ...ask not what your country can do for you, but ask what you can do for your country. Following that extraordinary remark, he extends that call to the world by asking what they can all do together for the freedom of the world. Type, Purpose, and Audience This speech was not just a ceremonial speech, it also played the praise and blame game with Russia and also casted a vision for America and the role that it would play in the world. After the majority of the speech was finished, Kennedy stated that all this will not be finished in the first one hundred days. Nor will it be finished in the first one thousand days, nor in the life of this Administration, nor even perhaps in our lifetime on this planet. The art of documentaries is manipulation of an audience for a purpose, as John Greison says documentary film is the creative treatment of actuality . In 1922, the first successful documentary, Nanook of the North, was documented by Robert J. Interviews are a very common documentary direct address technique as it allows people to speak directly about events while being subtly lead by questions from the filmmaker. Only a short amount of footage is shown from the interview, taken from hours of shooting to give the documentary a sense of realism. In the garden scene we can see the use of jump cuts and the cutting room floor. Many other techniques were used to back up the realism of the interview such as the natural lighting while he was being interviewed, giving the impression that it was all naturally done. Direct address is often used to hide the bias in documentaries, to show us more than one person s view. Catfish, directed by filmmakers Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost, displayed a lot of direct address. Catfish is an observational documentary. Brand positioning builds the unique brand image in the minds of consumers, so price setting and adjustments must adapt brand positioning, and brand positioning shows the brand s unique value through price (Kotler, 2013, p. 215). For Qantas, the pricing strategy utilises a cost plus margin method of product pricing, offering lower pricing in accordance to the market demand. It is a beautiful, five mile loop traversing cornfields, thick patches of forest, steep hills and flowing streams; a wonderful place to escape the hustle and bustle of the suburban lifestyle and spend some time amongst the peacefulness of nature. It is not a complete escape, however, for I am not the only person that knows of the trail it seems to also be a favorite of horseback riders. Often times I will encounter a rider or two at some point during my walk and, without fail, I will be in awe of the size and majesty of the horse. What an incredible, gentle beast it is. Standing next to a horse, you cannot help but gawk at the bulging, toned muscles and long, agile legs. It is truly an athlete with a rare combination of strength and speed. To stay intelligent, people must compensate for the disadvantages of the internet while using its benefits to one s mental capacity. One way to combat the attack on attention is to do competitive events.
