Fara Ahmedi s The Joy Of Skydiving
Have you ever gotten motivated to do something? Write a book? Or maybe even
just go skydiving? Or maybe even to just prove a point? These people did a little
more than that. I m going to tell you the great things these three people did. From as
simple as moving. To getting chased. First off we have Walt from the story King of
Mazy May.
Walt was a young man and his father went off to go somewhere. Two men were
trying to steal his neighbors claim. Walt wasn t going to let that happen. He got on
his dogsled and started driving away to get to the place where they sign the paper to
make their claim official. The men started to chase Walt. They had a gun so they
started trying to shoot. The men shot the lead dog that was pulling Walt back.so Walt
quickly got the strongest dog and took off. Eventually Walt made it and was safe. His
neighbors claim was saved thanks to Walt. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

King David Psalm 23
God is our shepherd. He provides for us and keeps us safe. The world is helpless
without him. God has provided everything we need to survive. This psalm is the
only psalm that I read and actually liked. It lays out everything God has created and
done for all his people. He has created the earth for us to live on, food and water for
us to eat and drink, and protects us. In King David s psalm 23 says He makth me to
lie down in green pastures: he leadth me beside the still waters. I think King David is
referring to the earth and water Godcreated for us. God created the green grass for us
to lay on. Also, the still waters for us to drink. David uses the word maketh, which
literally means make. I feel like he is implying God makes us lay down and relax and
enjoy what he made for us. Next he talks about God leading him to still waters. God
is always with us and will lead us to what we need. He will watch over us and be
there with us day in and day out.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It shows how amazing Gid is and how much he loves his people. To me this means
that God is forgiving. He is referring to reconciliation in this verse, restoreth my
soul. During reconciling God restores our heart and soul and cleans us from the
dirt of sin. As God cleans our heart and soul it brings us closer to him and allows us
to prepare ourselves to live in his kingdom forever with him. God leads us down the
path of righteousness through prayer and the seven sacraments. God provided us
with everything, it is our only duty to make the right decisions and follow out his
ways to life and full and eternal life with

Describe the?collaboration process?that was undertaken with you, your partner(s),
and all stakeholders to design, implement, and assess the course project. Include the
process of choosing a subject, collaborating with teacher(s), administrator(s), parent
(s) of subject in K 12 environment to gain background knowledge. For adult subjects
include the process of choosing a subject, collaborating with subject and teachers if
applicable. It was essential for all participants involved to understand the importance
and objectives of this project. We were successful in our collaboration with the group
members, participant, parental and administrative support during this extended
process. Our objectives were to improve pronunciation skills, cater to her specific
pronunciation needs, and assess her pronunciation progress. This process was made
easier by the support of the administration at the school. This support allowed us
access to the participant and an area and proper time to complete the process. The
willingness of the parent and the student were beneficial in the completion of the
project. The collaboration amongst the partners was outstanding. The partnerships we
have established throughout this endeavor showed through in our project and
presentation. The decision of using Physical Science as the topic was a collaboration
between group members and Anna core curriculum teacher. Due to her lack of

This was a distance of 5 miles. The other people at the end heard faint noises, but
could not hear what Bell was saying. In the next test, Bell shortened the distance to
4 miles. The people concluded that they could hear a distinct and audible voice.
This event proved that Bell s telephone would work for any distance. Bell s
colleagues offered to sell the patent for $100,000. The Western Union said it was
nothing more than a toy and they would not pay that much. Later, his partners said
to Bell that he could sell his patent for about $25 million. Bell thought it was too
late and decided not to sell it and to keep his company. Bell began to show the
world his revolutionary design. One of the more famous demonstrations was from
New York to Chicago in 1892. Queen Victoria showed excitement and said, Most
extraordinary! The positive advice Bell had received made him proud of his
prototype design. Elisha Gray had similar prototypes with his liquid transmitter idea.
In another prototype, Bell looked at Thomas Edison s past patents. He found one

I DO love traveling. But, I love more if I have companions. Why? One of the
reasons is I hate to use selfie stick. For me, taking selfie is ridiculous! (*demonstrate

Since the invention of the selfie stick, the helpful stranger industry has plummeted.
Not only that, the new research finds that the frequent use of selfie stick will result
in selfie elbow , and, will therefore impede the ability to pleasure yourself

Neo-Aristotelian Rhetoric Analysis
Introduction
Every four years in United States of America fellow Americans gather in front of a
television screen at home, in a class room or in the work place to watch who the
potential candidates for the presidency. Not all Americans are politicians, but they
watch to see which of these candidates steals their heart and who they will want to
become the next President of the United State of America. Creating a contest for
the candidates among each other, regardless if they are in the same party or not.
There is only one first place! Only one person can become President. Every word,
action and language that they use matters at this point. What languages were used to
consider Barack Obama Out of Many, One speech an electrifying speech? How did
he steal the hearts of the American people? When stepping up on that stage one must
steal the hearts of their fellow American people and not only of their own party,
telling Americans what they can do for the United States of America as the next
president. Using Neo Aristotelian Criticism, I will analyze former President Barack

Neo Aristotelian is the first formal method of rhetorical criticism formed by the
communication field (Foss, 2009). In the year of 1925, Herbert A. Wichelns detailed
the central features of the Neo Aristotelian method in The Literacy of Oratory (Foss,
2009). Before Wichelns method, there was no guideline to how properly conduct
Criticism (Foss, 2009). This method is commonly used for analyzing speeches and
other spoken discourses given to an audience of any sort. Neo Aristotelian involves
four steps: choosing the artifact, analyzing the artifact, formulating a research
question and lastly, writing the essay. The difference from Neo Aristotelian criticism
and other criticism methods can be found in one of the steps, which is analyzing the
artifact
Speech On Optimism
Jon Jusufi 8th grade
Sir Winston Churchill once said: A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity;
an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.
If I think I cannot do something, after a while I will not be capable of doing it.
And vice versa if I truly believe that I can do something, I will try my best to do it.
And this is not only about actions we are capable of doing or not. Most
importantly, it is about what we think we are. If you are an optimist you love your
life and think of yourself and the others around you as great people. If you are a
pessimist you do not really care about who you are and you do not give your life a
meaning. Optimism makes us have dreams. Those dreams eventually turn into goals
and to accomplish those goals we get perseverant, we care about the people around
us and we try to live a healthy live.
Optimism leads to perseverance. If we really believe that what we think is right,

It is in human nature to work and live together with other people and to give a part
of ourselves to the others around us. Optimism is very important here because an
optimist tries to make the world a better place by making the people better people.
Optimists help everyone in their community as much as they can in every possible
way. Sometimes people just need to hear some good words and that is what
optimists are great at. You have probably heard the story about the one bad apple
that turned all the good apples bad. Optimism is the exact opposite because one
optimist has the power to make all the people around him or her to see life from a
positive point of view. This is one of my favorite things about optimism because
optimists do not only help themselves, they help the world. And by helping the world
they help themselves because the people that you once helped will help you achieve

An Ordinary Piece Of Human Choice Making Process
Contrasting one thing and another is an ordinary piece of human choice making

Oprah Winfrey s Journey Through Life
Oprah Winfrey is an inspiration to many all around the world. She did not have a
very good home life up until the age of 14. She was abused as a child and did not see
her mother very often because she was a housemaid who was gone almost every
day all day. Vernon Winfrey, Oprah s father, was a big service in her life when it
came to keeping her in a nonviolent manner. Oprah also had her career going for her
when she became Miss Black Tennessee at age 17. When Oprah became Miss
Black Tennessee she was offered a radio broadcasting job and a full scholarship to

The Time Machine
Tomorrow The Time Machine written by H.G. Wells is metaphorically describing
humanity as being peaceful on the surface, but under hidden depths there is a desire
to be destructive. In the early chapters of the book, the time traveller expects the
descendants of mankind to be super intelligent, but is disappointed by the behaviour
of the supposedly advanced species, the Eloi. His curiosity about the mysterious
wells leads to his discovery of the Morlocks and their hidden technology, and what
he believes is the confirmation of a dystopic future. Towards the conclusion of his
journey the book shows how he had come to love the Eloi because of their childlike
nature, but hated the Morlocks because of their destructive and carnivorous... Show

Fearing the light they remain underground, and as the time traveller notices this,
he is cautious of their reaction towards him: I was afraid to push my way in among
all this machinery in the dark, and it was only with the last glimpse of light I
discovered that my store of matches had run low. (H.G. Wells, 2002, p52) The time
traveller could easily have chosen to finish his expedition of the subterranean
world, turn around and exit the well, home of the Morlocks. However, influenced
by curiosity, the time traveller chooses to examine every piece of evidence in the
hope of discovering the truth of how this dystopic future was formed: peace with
fear, and curiosity then destruction; both halves of the same whole. In the chapters
leading up to the time traveller s departure, he first plans to kill the Morlocks,
arming himself with weapons from the Palace of green porcelain . When he leaves
the Palace of green porcelain the sun has set and it has become dark. Then the
Morlocks strike, ambushing him in the forest. In an effort to protect himself from
his adversaries, the time traveller starts a fire. Exhausted, he falls asleep, and when
he wakes up discovers that his Eloi companion, Weena, has been taken and that the
fire has spread and become out of control: This line in the book describes the final
characteristic of mans attitude fear. The Time Machineis saying that mankind, even

Comparing Dorian Gray And Heart Of Darkness
According to principles explained by Jacques Derrida, binary opposition is the
means by which the units of language have value or meaning; each unit is defined
in reciprocal determination with another term. Derrida adds that, for each center,
an opposing center exists (Bressler, 110). For example, we know truth, because we
know deception; we know good because we know bad (Bressler, 111). Joseph Conrad
and Oscar Wilde s use of the binary oppositionof light/dark within The Picture of
Dorian Gray and Heart of Darkness establishes both racial and class tension by
contrasting a superior concept with its inferior. In The Picture of Dorian Gray,
setting plays a major role in displaying class differences within the novel. Darker
imagery is used to portray the East End, or the lower class part of London, while
the West End is described as wealthy and cultured. For example, as Dorian travels
through the East End, the chapter begins with, A cold rain began to fall, and the
blurred street lamps looked ghastly in the dripping mist (Wilde, 176). Further,
Wilde uses more dark images to create the scene of the East End. He states, The
moon hung low in the sky like a yellow skull... the gas lamps grew fewer, and the
streets more narrow and gloomy (Wilde, 177). The description of the East End
strongly opposes the description of the upper... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Due to the fact that the majority of the activities of Rural Action are allocated in the
outdoor environment, unpredictable climate changes could significantly affect the
business. Wilson, Becken, and Espiner (2012) indicate that storms could bring
multiple effects of weather, including strong wind and rain, and lightning, which are
threats for the safe operation for a range of outdoor based tourism businesses. For
summer camp s operation, rainstorm could disturb the activities for days and even
for weeks. Moreover, climate change could be a safety hazard of the program s
activities. Research found that both extremely high (often in spring due to snow melt
and storms) and low water (often in autumn) pose safety issues for boat operators
(Wilson, Becken, Espiner, 2012). Since the youth environmental stewardship program
offers many water entertaining activities, such as swimming, canoeing, and fishing,
the negative effects of climate change should be considering as a dangerous threat.
Climate change and natural disasters that are caused by extrema whether condition,
such as flood, mud rock flow, and landslide, could become a huge threat for camping
Essay on Main Causes of Divorce
One of the main things people do when they feel great chemistry between one
another is get married. Some couples are unable to maintain their relationship and
they get a divorce; which is one of the solutions to solve the problems between
husband and wife. Most people think carefully before they get married however the
divorce rates are continuously increasing. There are three main causes of divorce:
changing in woman s roles, stress in modern living, and lack of communication.
The first significant cause of recent rise in the rates of divorce is a woman s role
being completely changed. In the past, men had to earn all the money to afford the
expenses of the family, whereas woman only did housework. That led to the woman

Many people who live in globalization have considerable pressures to earn money.
Some people cannot maintain their high maintenance lifestyle and are forced to
settle for less. Consequently, their spouse may feel like they have settled for less
and decide they may be better suited for someone else. This usually occurs when
people just marry for money or material things. Those type of marriages usually
never last and end in a horrible divorce. The final cause of recently increasing
divorce is lack of communication. Owing to financial status in each family, many
people are fairly busy. For this reason, they have inadequate time to talk to their
spouse about their problems. Consequently, that usually causes divorce. Some
couples are often quiet when they have problems with each other. Soon their little
problems expand to big problems, resulting in divorce. Maybe if people
communicated more with their partner divorce rates would be increasing so
drastically. In addition to the three causes I mentioned, there are also two effects of
divorce. Most couples normally have children when they get married. Divorces can
directly affect the children of the couple. Children living in a single parent house
hold are more likely to get pregnant as a teenager, drop out in high school, abuse
drugs, and have aggressive emotional and behavioral problems. Some children decide
to leave their home and subsequently become homeless and they do not have good
opportunities to find a job due

College Degree In College
Did you know, high school graduates with no college degree make nearly $530 a

Imagine the world today dotted with intricate stone temples serving as altars for
human sacrifice. Imagine further that these human sacrifices were considered
mandatory through the state religion. This is part of what life was like in the time
of the Aztecs and the Incas. The Aztec empire and the Inca empire were two of the
first civilizations in what is now Mexicoand South
America. Formed within the two centuries of each other, they had several differences
in their cultures. Despite these differences, there were a considerable amount of
similarities in the civilizations. Life at the time of the Aztecs and the Incas was very
thrilling.

time Huayna Capac died, the empire, also called Tawantinsuyu, stretched from

as well.
Both the Aztec empire and the Inca empire thought of the god that represented the
sun as the highest deity. They also both practiced human sacrifice and polytheism.
Aztec religion was a vast, uniting, and sometimes oppressive force and little
distinction made between the gods and the natural world. Gods of rain, fire, water,
corn, sky, and sun were venerated. There were at least 128 deities! Each god had
both a male and female form, plus each god had at least five aspects, each one
associated with one of the cardinal directions and the center. They were supported by
a round of yearly festivals and ceremonies that included feasting, dancing, penance,
and sacrifice. All 128 deities can be broken down into three major categories: the
gods of fertility and the agricultural cycle, the creation gods, and the great traditional
deities. the
Most important god was Huitzilopochtli, who was identified with the old sun god. The

Email marketing is popular with companies for several reasons:
An exact return on investment can be tracked ( track to basket ) and has proven to be
high when done properly. Email marketing is often reported as second only to search
marketing as the most effective online marketing tactic.[4]
Email marketing is significantly cheaper and faster than traditional mail, mainly
because of high cost and time required in a traditional mail campaign for producing
the artwork, printing, addressing and mailing.
Advertisers can reach substantial numbers of email subscribers who have opted in
(i.e., consented) to receive email communications on subjects of interest to
them.[citation needed]
Almost half of American Internet users check or send email on a typical day,[5] with
email blasts that are delivered between 1 am and 5 am local time outperforming those
sent at other times in open and click rates.[6][7]
Email is popular with digital marketers, rising an estimated 15% in 2009 to ВЈ292 m

If compared to standard email, direct email marketing produces higher response rate
and higher average order value for e commerce businesses.[9]

Student Athletes For The University Of Ohio
Secondly, for student athletes who practice a sport and attend classes, it is often
difficult to complete both tasks. Many students begin to show less motivation making
it harder to stay focus and attend their required classes. This is the case of student
athlete Cardale Jones, a quarterback for the Universityof Ohio. After taking his
sociology final exam, he commented that coming to class was pointless when his
only responsibility was to play football for the university (Tracy 1). Studentathletes
start to show poor academic achievement when they consume a lot of time in their
sports and often forget about their role of being a student. For instance, when
students are not able to complete their school assignments during the day they
decide to study late and do not sleep the necessary hours they need in order for their
bodies to function and their brains to focus. In this case, the poor achievement in
students is notable because they do not perform well in school and do not have a
good nutrition. They often do not have time to eat the required three meals a day that
their bodies need. The poor academic achievement is often noticeable when many
coaches begin to tell their athletes that they are not allowed to take classes that
interfere with practice. This puts athletes in a barrier when they have to balance the
two roles of responsibility of attending class and completing homework assignments
and attending the games. Student athletes have a poor mental and physical body
The Effects of Rising Sea Levels Essay
The Effects of Rising Sea Levels
Introduction:
Over the last several decades, climate change has evolved from a polarizing
discussion to what will likely be the largest collaborative research project of our
generation. While many aspects of climate change are still misunderstood, there is
little debate that the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is rising at an
alarming rate. This rise is considered the main cause behind an increase in global
temperature, which has set in motion a chain reaction of climatic events.
Atmospheric carbon impacts the temperature of the Earth because it is a greenhouse
gas. When visible light from the sun heats the surface of the earth, some of the energy

While thermal expansion is difficult to observe on a small scale, such as a glass of
water, it can have a significant impact on a massive volume of water such as the
combined oceans of the world. Melting land ice, the other major factor in the sea
level rise, is a more straightforward issue. As global temperature increases, land
based glaciers and ice will melt sooner and accumulate later. Naturally, this runoff
will lead to an increase in the total amount of water in the ocean.
The combination of these and other trends was an estimated average sea level
increase of 1.5mm per year between 1961 and 2003, which reached 2.4mm per
year in the decade from 1993 to 2003. The decades prior to this trend showed only
minor fluctuations in sea level, suggesting that the current rate exceeds what could
be caused by natural cycles. While the exact impact of rising oceans is difficult to
determine, it is certain that the consequences will include some degree of flooding,
integration of salt water into water tables, and a loss of land due to coastal erosion
and submersion.6
Hypothesis:
Decades of research suggest that sea levels are rising, and will continue to rise as a

Persuasive Speech On Freedom Of Speech
Is giving students free speech more important than not offending other students?
There have been many debates over whether there should be limitations on students
speech in public schools. Many people believe that unrestricted speech can cause
conflict because there are endless amounts of different opinions, including offensive
ones. On the other hand, there are people who think everyone should feel free to
voice their ideas and opinions. Lastly, there are people who believe there should be
limitations, but not for all situations. Students should be allowed to say or do
whatever they want unless it is illegal, it targets specific people or it is offensive
towards a vast majority.
All students have been given the right to express and speak freely according to the
First Amendment. In the United States Constitution, the First Amendment states
Congress shall make no law... abridging the freedom of speech... or the right of the
people peaceably to assemble (U.S. Constitution). This gives everyone in America the
right to freedom of speech, expression and to protest. Therefore, any student should
have the right to say or do anything they want. In the case, Tinker v. Des Moines
Independent Community School District (1969), there was a group of students
planning to wear black armbands and to fast on December 16th and on New Year s
eve to the Vietnam war. Prior to the protest, the school found out and created a policy
which stated that any student wearing an armband will be asked to remove it and if
they refuse, they will be suspended. Three students, Mary Beth Tinker, Christopher
Eckhardt and John Tinker wore their armbands to school and got suspended. These
students did not return to school until after the protest, which was New Year s Day.
They also sued the school for violating their right to freedom of expression. When the
students went to court, the court agreed with them that the school violated their first
amendment rights (Oyez). This connects to the First Amendment because the
students are trying to express their disapproval of the Vietnam war, while not harming
or offending anyone, yet the school is limiting their freedom of expression. The
students are also not doing anything wrong since none of the

Modern day people could learn a lot from King Arthur and the 12 Trusts. Today
people lie without a thought, are sexist beyond belief, and are all around rude and
disrespectful. In the Twelve Trusts it outlines the ways a person should behave
towards themselves, and more importantly how you treat other people. If we could
take some of the rules from the Twelve Trusts, and applied it to modern day, there
wouldn t be as much conflict or issues among people. The first rule I would want to
bring back is rule number four. This rule says: I will speak the truth at all times, and
forever keep my word . This is a pretty big issue in modern day. People blatantly lie,
and break promises left and right. Lying has personally ruined several friendships. We
could make this a rule today, in the form of a social norm. If we the children of the

Today there is a very large feminist movement that holds a similar rule that this
would fall right into. They believe everyone should be treated as equals, whether
man or woman. To treat everyone as equals, that would require honoring and
respecting women, as well as men. Sexism plays a large role in our culture today
too. From the way women are treated on the street (I.e. catcalls, harassment,
stalking, or even rape) to how we are raised, there is commonly a lot of sexism
present. It isn t uncommon for a man to receive a higher wage than a woman for the
exact some job. With this rule, we could eradicate sexism and

Two Major Political Ideologies Today
Two Major Political Ideologies Today Republicans and Democrats have been the

United States since the mid 1850 s. While Republican s and Democrat s political
ideologies have changed throughout their history, since the late 1960 s their parties
coalition has relatively stayed the same. In this essay I will briefly summarize these
political ideologies that define the Democratic and Republican parties today, before
discussing some of the similarities between the two, and then closing with who I

s governing philosophy is one of conservatism. Republicans believe in the philosophy
of very little governmentinterference in economic issues, but lots of government
intervention in social issues. Republicans vote for laws and regulations that put
restrictions on such issues as homosexual marriage and abortion. As for economic
issues, republicans tend to advocate in favor of a more laissez faire economic

in a clean pitcher or 2 liter bottle. Stir or shake the solution until it is dissolved. This
will produce a 1% salt solution. 6. Pour the salt solution into a clean tall glass so that
the liquid level is 1/4 inch (0.5 cm). 7. Tape the strip to a pencil and rest the pencil
on top of the jar so that the strip hangs into the jar. The goal is to have the end of the
chromatography strip just touching the surface of the solvent solution, with the
colored dots above the surface of the liquid. Make sure that the colored spots do not
come in direct contact with the liquid in the bottom of the glass.

An Evaluative Report on Company Fraud
How does a company truly know if they have accurate check and balancing in place to
detect malicious activity that may impact financial statements? The main obligation
for the sufficiency and release in the company s annual statements resides within the
management of the company (Whittington Pany, 2014). It is a critical component, for
management to have a strong financial management system that is documented,
meaningful and well considered accounting policies and procedures manual
(Reineking, Chamberlain, Rudolph, Smith, 2013); this has been demonstrated
through other published audits as company have provided documentation around this
policies and procedures. Additionally, all companies should create operational
internal controls to improve the accuracy and validity of financial data and serve as a
mechanism to defend the company s financial assets, and to prevent fraud. The
success of a company is directly influenced by procedures and policies,
implementation of internal controls, checks and balancing, annual auditing, which all
aid in ensuring that the company is acting in accordance to rules and regulation set
forth, furthermore reflecting in positive results and successful audit reviews.

Forced Convection Heat Transfer
Forced Convection Heat Transfer
I. Introduction
This laboratory deals with forced convection, forced convection can be considered as
a staple of heat transfer. That is to say that forced convection can be found in almost
any heat transfer problem, and thus understanding its importance and how it affects a
given problem is one of the more important learning objectives/outcomes of heat
transfer.
When dealing with forced convection the most important section, after understanding
how convection works, is the convection heat transfer coefficient. The heat transfer
coefficient for convection is denoted by (h) and is measured in w/m^2*K, this lab
delves into the application of convection heat transfer and how it correlates to ...

Ecology Interspecific Interactions Lab
Intro:
Ecology is the study of how organisms interact within their environment. Every
species interacts with its surroundings, whether it s within their populations,
community, ecosystem, etc. In this lab, we will be comparing two different species
and how they grow alone as well as together, in the same environment. More
specifically, in this lab, we will be dealing with one of the most important ideas in
ecology, the niche. Due to this concept, we can study the environmental
circumstances the organism can handle, the essential resources it will need to
survive, and how it will obtain these resources. Different species can hold similar
niches, and the same ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The carrying capacity determines the population level of a species according to the
limiting resources,
Algae is one of the most diverse and interesting organisms on the planet. This is
because there are over 10,000 unrelated species of organisms that contain
chlorophyll and live in large bodies of water or moist land. Keeping a count of
population size gives us a good indication of how certain species grow and interact
with one another. By using two different species of Algae we can determine what
types of interactions the two can encounter. The two species tested were Closterium
and Micrasterias algae. We labeled them as species 1 and 2. The purpose of this lab
is to determine whether the selected algae species will demonstrate competition or
resource partitioning with the coexistence of each other versus alone. At the end of
this lab we should be able to determine which species upheld the best under all of
these circumstances.
Methods:
This lab was performed with two different types of algae, Micrasterias and
Closterium. Within our groups, we counted how many of each species there were to
begin with. Each group sampled one micro liter of each algae stock, five times, and
then found the average of the five trials and converted it to milliliters. There were
three different test tubes of algae stock containing 100 individuals. The first
contained 100 Closterium,
Impulse Of Force In Golf
This review of literature discuss the main terms, and ideas related to the experiment
conducted, and seeks an explanation on why it happen. The topic will cover kinetic
energy, gravity, velocity, and force of impact. Even if we know the process of
conservation of energy to an object that is falling allowing us to predict its impact
velocity, as well as the kinetic energy. However we cannot predict the impact force
without knowing how far it will travel after impact.
When you find the product of average force, and time that is exerted is called
impulse of force. From Newton s second law the impulse of force can be extracted
and found to be equal to the change in momentum of an object provided the mass is
constant (Impulse of Force,R.Nave,N/A). The main thing we must look into is the
the study of the average impact force during the collisions between the sand and the
golf ball.To find collisions, the mass and the change of velocity are usually used and
often measured, but the force that is occuring during the collision is not. If the time
of the impact of collision can be recorded and ... Show more content on

I could have used the kinematic equations but it won t be as accurate or as clear as
the work energy principle. The work energy principle says that if you have some
system, the work done on it is change in energy of that system. (HOW DO YOU
ESTIMATE IMPACT FORCE?,Rhett Allain,7/19/14). If i were to use just the golf
ball as the system then the only kind of energy that it would be using would be
kinetic energy. When calculating the work done by some force, О”r is the distance
over which that force is applied and Оё is the angle between the force and the
displacement. (HOW DO YOU ESTIMATE IMPACT FORCE?,Rhett Allain,7/19/14).
since the equations deals with change in energy over distance it is best to use the
work energy when you have something starting at two whole different

Sports Psychology Term Paper
One of the most important activities for an athlete to be successful is for him/her to
set goals (Sports Psychology, 2014). They need to determine what their personal
goals are and their team goals that they can achieve together (Sports Psychology,
2014). Goals can help to focus action, mobilize effort, and provide a purpose to the
athlete s efforts (Sports Psychology, 2014). It also provides motivation for the athlete
and helps to assist with increased performance (Sports Psychology, 2014). Most
athletes develop outcome goals (Sports Psychology, 2014). These goals focus on the
outcome or the results of a situation (Sports Psychology, 2014). They sometimes have

by the basketball players. There were 2 players that rung less than 4 and 2 players
that rung more than 4. The standard deviation tells us how spread out the numbers
are in our sample. I had to first figure out the variance of the numbers, which was 2.
Then, I found out the square root of 2, which gave me my standard deviation of

Being A Bartender Research Paper
Bartending is a highly competitive career between young and old adults. Many
college student rely on being a bartender as their main source of income. In many
ways, some might say I have the perfect job. I succeed to work in an upbeat
atmosphere, meet new people, and sample some treasured spirits. Most of the time
you can find me laughing with guests while mixing their favorite cocktails on the
menu. I play host to their party and gatekeeper to their alcohol. Some will try to
make friends with me in hopes of free drinks in the future. Although this may sound
like the perfect career there are some disadvantages. Before quitting your day job,
here are a few points to consider. Some of the disadvantages are working late hours,
dealing with a stressful work environment, and inconsistent pay.
To begin, being a bartender will have you putting in the late night work hours. Being
a night owl is an understatement in this career. Many bars close in the early
morning, and leave the bartender to clean up the trash and spilled drinks left behind.
The last concern a barkeep would have is spending two hours cleaning after
babysitting drunk customers all night. The bartender is ... Show more content on

Consequently, I become more of an impulse shopper. I do not think about saving

slow periods during the year when income can be sparse. I discontinue spending
money when I do not have the usual amount of income. I struggle through weeks
where I earn $400, and others upwards of $900. It is difficult to base your bills on
what you are earning. It is also harder to get a loan for anything because there is such

Support For Marijuana Legalization Against First Age
Methodology In conducting my research, I utilized data from the 2012 National
Election Survey, which includes data vital to my research. NES2012 data produced
information regarding both levels of support for the legalization of marijuana as
well as three separate age categories (1) 17 39 (2) 40 59 and (3) 60 older. It is worth
noting that since the data was collected in 2012 opinions have been bound to shift,
specifically in states which have seen statewide recreational legalization, however for
the function of the research, the given data produces ample information and analysis
which will facilitate with rejection or acceptance of the working hypothesis.
Throughout the duration of the research multiple tests were utilized, including a Chi
Square test, which analyzed levels of support for marijuana legalization against first
age as the independent variable and the against level of education as a control
variable. The first test in which only the independent and dependent variable are
accounted for contains 5397 respondents, for which a total of 2103 respondents favor
legalization compared to the 1929 whom oppose legalization. When the control
variable is accounted for, 5355 total respondents are surveyed, 2085 of which favor
legalization compared to the 1911 that oppose legalization. Considering that the
variables being tested are categorical in nature, the cross tabulations examination
coupled with utilization of the Chi square component appears most necessary. The

Big Island Contrast
Did you know that the Big Island is home to some of the largest telescopes in the
world? Some of the largest telescopes stand here, and these telescopes are an
example of something that will not be found anywhere on O ahu. When visiting the
Big Island, there is also an astronomy center named Imiloa and we learned that the
Big Island is home to the tallest mountain if measured from the ocean floor, Mauna
Kea. Until I visited the Big Island, I wasn t aware that there are so many distinct
differences between the Big Island and the island of O ahu.
Both the Big Island and the island of O ahu are unique, but also share many
similarities. First off, these islands do not have extreme temperatures. For example, O
ahu and the Big Island usually do ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The first unmistakable difference they have is the fact that the Big Island is home to
two active volcanoes; Kilauea and Mauna Loa. O ahu does not have any active
volcanoes, but there is a possibility that they could still erupt in the future. Although
the Big Island is larger than the other seven Hawaiian islands combined, the Big
Island is also the youngest Hawaiian island. With that said, O ahu is the third oldest
and the third largest island of all eight of them. Looks can be deceiving in this
case. Lastly, the Big Island also has some of the largest scientific telescopes that sit
on Mauna Kea. On the island of O ahu, there are no telescopes that sit on any of the
inactive volcanoes. Overall, the distinct differences between O ahu and the Big
Island include one island having active volcanoes, their size, and the fact that only
one of them has some of the largest telescopes in the world. The Big Island, in fact,
does have some of the largest telescopes that sit on Mauna A Wakea. There are many
characteristics between these two islands that are indistinguishable and different.
Consider visiting both of these beautiful islands; they may seem similar, but they are
both special and remarkable in their own

Screen , Jinghui Hou and her colleagues, Justin Rashid and Kwan Min Lee consider
the differences between reading on a screen and paper. The writers review number of
studies done by other people and direct their own research towards explaining these
differences by examining the way two mechanisms, such as medium materiality and
cognitive map affects comprehension, feeling of fatigue and immersion. They found
out that reading from screen of a tablet causes feeling of fatigue and lowers
immersion since web pages usually have destructions and links which hinder people
from feeling of immersion and from being concentrated in one thing only, thereby
resulting in less comprehension of the text. However, they did not identify any
significant differences in reading speed in different mediums. Hou is an Assistant

The primary search in this article can help to understand the differences in medium
better, because it contains table with comparisons about the effect of reading from
different medium on comprehension, fatigue and immersion. This will help to
support my point that reading from tablet or computer screen affects people s vision
and understanding of the text. I will further look if reading from different medium
affects reading speed, because this is the one thing that this research has missed. The
idea that emerged from reading this article is that If reading on screen causes health
issues such as eye fatigue then can it also affect our sleeping
Boyle s Conception Of Truth
How can we ascertain that a camera obscura, i.e. a darken box with a small hole
truly generate a projection of the world outside it? The philosopher and scientist
Robert Boyle s argued that truth is bound to the assurance of society, while RenГ©
Descartes, on the other hand, argued that we can trust empirical knowledge when it
appears to be clear and distinct to us. Thus, the following essay will discuss these two
conceptions of truth, starting with Boyle and then engaging with Descartes. Lastly, I
will argue and conclude that Boyle s approach is nowadays more prominent because
it better describes the mechanism in which we reach truth in the sciences practices.
While developing his experimental philosophy, Boyle recognized that with the birth
Command And Market Economies
The business environment uses several different factors of production which are
defined as the various useful resources that an economy utilizes to create goods and
services for their customers. The ADM1113 textbook (2016) lists in chapter one,
five factors of production which includes labour, capital, entrepreneurs, natural
resources, and information. Firstly, labour is defined as the mental and physical
capabilities of people (Ebert et al. p. 5). Labour work is an important factor of
production since the company requires hard working individuals in order to run
smoothly. Additionally, these labour workers get paid with the capital the company
has. Capital refers to money and assets that a company has obtained to keep a

The Controversial Issue Of Illegal Immigration
Illegal immigration is a subject that is literally splitting the country in half when
considering the opposing opinions. While there are quite a few reasons backing
up both sides of this controversial topic, I believe that illegal immigrants should be
allowed to stay so long as they go through the proper procedures. I agree with those
saying that it is unfair for those who are breaking the law to be allowed citizenship,
but I also believe that there substantial reasons for allowing immigrants to stay.
Illegal immigrants not only add to the mixed diversity of America, but they also
offer their services for many different types of jobs leading to a higher economy. If
immigrants get approved to be citizens and Americans begin to look at them like

  • 2. Fara Ahmedi s The Joy Of Skydiving Have you ever gotten motivated to do something? Write a book? Or maybe even just go skydiving? Or maybe even to just prove a point? These people did a little more than that. I m going to tell you the great things these three people did. From as simple as moving. To getting chased. First off we have Walt from the story King of Mazy May. Walt was a young man and his father went off to go somewhere. Two men were trying to steal his neighbors claim. Walt wasn t going to let that happen. He got on his dogsled and started driving away to get to the place where they sign the paper to make their claim official. The men started to chase Walt. They had a gun so they started trying to shoot. The men shot the lead dog that was pulling Walt back.so Walt quickly got the strongest dog and took off. Eventually Walt made it and was safe. • 3. King David Psalm 23 God is our shepherd. He provides for us and keeps us safe. The world is helpless without him. God has provided everything we need to survive. This psalm is the only psalm that I read and actually liked. It lays out everything God has created and done for all his people. He has created the earth for us to live on, food and water for us to eat and drink, and protects us. In King David s psalm 23 says He makth me to lie down in green pastures: he leadth me beside the still waters. I think King David is referring to the earth and water Godcreated for us. God created the green grass for us to lay on. Also, the still waters for us to drink. David uses the word maketh, which literally means make. I feel like he is implying God makes us lay down and relax and enjoy what he made for us. Next he talks about God leading him to still waters. God is always with us and will lead us to what we need. He will watch over us and be there with us day in and day out.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It shows how amazing Gid is and how much he loves his people. To me this means that God is forgiving. He is referring to reconciliation in this verse, restoreth my soul. During reconciling God restores our heart and soul and cleans us from the dirt of sin. As God cleans our heart and soul it brings us closer to him and allows us to prepare ourselves to live in his kingdom forever with him. God leads us down the path of righteousness through prayer and the seven sacraments. God provided us with everything, it is our only duty to make the right decisions and follow out his ways to life and full and eternal life with

The Western Union said it was nothing more than a toy and they would not pay that much. Later, his partners said to Bell that he could sell his patent for about $25 million. Not all Americans are politicians, but they watch to see which of these candidates steals their heart and who they will want to become the next President of the United State of America. Creating a contest for the candidates among each other, regardless if they are in the same party or not. There is only one first place! Only one person can become President. Every word, action and language that they use matters at this point. What languages were used to consider Barack Obama Out of Many, One speech an electrifying speech? How did he steal the hearts of the American people? When stepping up on that stage one must steal the hearts of their fellow American people and not only of their own party, telling Americans what they can do for the United States of America as the next president. • 9. Speech On Optimism Jon Jusufi 8th grade Sir Winston Churchill once said: A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty. If I think I cannot do something, after a while I will not be capable of doing it. And vice versa if I truly believe that I can do something, I will try my best to do it. And this is not only about actions we are capable of doing or not. Most importantly, it is about what we think we are. If you are an optimist you love your life and think of yourself and the others around you as great people. If you are a pessimist you do not really care about who you are and you do not give your life a meaning. Optimism makes us have dreams. Those dreams eventually turn into goals and to accomplish those goals we get perseverant, we care about the people around us and we try to live a healthy live. Optimism leads to perseverance. It is in human nature to work and live together with other people and to give a part of ourselves to the others around us. Optimism is very important here because an optimist tries to make the world a better place by making the people better people. Optimists help everyone in their community as much as they can in every possible way. Sometimes people just need to hear some good words and that is what optimists are great at. You have probably heard the story about the one bad apple that turned all the good apples bad. Optimism is the exact opposite because one optimist has the power to make all the people around him or her to see life from a positive point of view. This is one of my favorite things about optimism because optimists do not only help themselves, they help the world. And by helping the world they help themselves because the people that you once helped will help you achieve your

  • 12. The Time Machine Tomorrow The Time Machine written by H.G. Wells is metaphorically describing humanity as being peaceful on the surface, but under hidden depths there is a desire to be destructive. In the early chapters of the book, the time traveller expects the descendants of mankind to be super intelligent, but is disappointed by the behaviour of the supposedly advanced species, the Eloi. His curiosity about the mysterious wells leads to his discovery of the Morlocks and their hidden technology, and what he believes is the confirmation of a dystopic future. Towards the conclusion of his journey the book shows how he had come to love the Eloi because of their childlike nature, but hated the Morlocks because of their destructive and carnivorous... Fearing the light they remain underground, and as the time traveller notices this, he is cautious of their reaction towards him: I was afraid to push my way in among all this machinery in the dark, and it was only with the last glimpse of light I discovered that my store of matches had run low. (H.G. Wells, 2002, p52) The time traveller could easily have chosen to finish his expedition of the subterranean world, turn around and exit the well, home of the Morlocks. However, influenced by curiosity, the time traveller chooses to examine every piece of evidence in the hope of discovering the truth of how this dystopic future was formed: peace with fear, and curiosity then destruction; both halves of the same whole. In the chapters leading up to the time traveller s departure, he first plans to kill the Morlocks, arming himself with weapons from the Palace of green porcelain . When he leaves the Palace of green porcelain the sun has set and it has become dark. Then the Morlocks strike, ambushing him in the forest. In an effort to protect himself from his adversaries, the time traveller starts a fire. Exhausted, he falls asleep, and when he wakes up discovers that his Eloi companion, Weena, has been taken and that the fire has spread and become out of control: This line in the book describes the final characteristic of mans attitude fear. • 13. Comparing Dorian Gray And Heart Of Darkness According to principles explained by Jacques Derrida, binary opposition is the means by which the units of language have value or meaning; each unit is defined in reciprocal determination with another term. Derrida adds that, for each center, an opposing center exists (Bressler, 110). For example, we know truth, because we know deception; we know good because we know bad (Bressler, 111). Joseph Conrad and Oscar Wilde s use of the binary oppositionof light/dark within The Picture of Dorian Gray and Heart of Darkness establishes both racial and class tension by contrasting a superior concept with its inferior. In The Picture of Dorian Gray, setting plays a major role in displaying class differences within the novel. Darker imagery is used to portray the East End, or the lower class part of London, while the West End is described as wealthy and cultured. For example, as Dorian travels through the East End, the chapter begins with, A cold rain began to fall, and the blurred street lamps looked ghastly in the dripping mist (Wilde, 176). Further, Wilde uses more dark images to create the scene of the East End. He states, The moon hung low in the sky like a yellow skull... the gas lamps grew fewer, and the streets more narrow and gloomy (Wilde, 177). For summer camp s operation, rainstorm could disturb the activities for days and even for weeks. Moreover, climate change could be a safety hazard of the program s activities. Some couples are unable to maintain their relationship and they get a divorce; which is one of the solutions to solve the problems between husband and wife. Most people think carefully before they get married however the divorce rates are continuously increasing. There are three main causes of divorce: changing in woman s roles, stress in modern living, and lack of communication. Many people who live in globalization have considerable pressures to earn money. Some people cannot maintain their high maintenance lifestyle and are forced to settle for less. Consequently, their spouse may feel like they have settled for less and decide they may be better suited for someone else. This usually occurs when people just marry for money or material things. Those type of marriages usually never last and end in a horrible divorce. The final cause of recently increasing divorce is lack of communication. Owing to financial status in each family, many people are fairly busy. For this reason, they have inadequate time to talk to their spouse about their problems. Consequently, that usually causes divorce. Some couples are often quiet when they have problems with each other. Soon their little problems expand to big problems, resulting in divorce. Maybe if people communicated more with their partner divorce rates would be increasing so drastically. In addition to the three causes I mentioned, there are also two effects of divorce. Most couples normally have children when they get married. Divorces can directly affect the children of the couple. Children living in a single parent house hold are more likely to get pregnant as a teenager, drop out in high school, abuse drugs, and have aggressive emotional and behavioral problems. Many students begin to show less motivation making it harder to stay focus and attend their required classes. This is the case of student athlete Cardale Jones, a quarterback for the Universityof Ohio. After taking his sociology final exam, he commented that coming to class was pointless when his only responsibility was to play football for the university (Tracy 1). Studentathletes start to show poor academic achievement when they consume a lot of time in their sports and often forget about their role of being a student. For instance, when students are not able to complete their school assignments during the day they decide to study late and do not sleep the necessary hours they need in order for their bodies to function and their brains to focus. In this case, the poor achievement in students is notable because they do not perform well in school and do not have a good nutrition. This rise is considered the main cause behind an increase in global temperature, which has set in motion a chain reaction of climatic events. While thermal expansion is difficult to observe on a small scale, such as a glass of water, it can have a significant impact on a massive volume of water such as the combined oceans of the world. Melting land ice, the other major factor in the sea level rise, is a more straightforward issue. As global temperature increases, land based glaciers and ice will melt sooner and accumulate later. Naturally, this runoff will lead to an increase in the total amount of water in the ocean. The combination of these and other trends was an estimated average sea level increase of 1.5mm per year between 1961 and 2003, which reached 2.4mm per year in the decade from 1993 to 2003. The decades prior to this trend showed only minor fluctuations in sea level, suggesting that the current rate exceeds what could be caused by natural cycles. • 31. Persuasive Speech On Freedom Of Speech Is giving students free speech more important than not offending other students? There have been many debates over whether there should be limitations on students speech in public schools. Many people believe that unrestricted speech can cause conflict because there are endless amounts of different opinions, including offensive ones. On the other hand, there are people who think everyone should feel free to voice their ideas and opinions. Lastly, there are people who believe there should be limitations, but not for all situations. Students should be allowed to say or do whatever they want unless it is illegal, it targets specific people or it is offensive towards a vast majority. All students have been given the right to express and speak freely according to the First Amendment. In the United States Constitution, the First Amendment states Congress shall make no law... abridging the freedom of speech... or the right of the people peaceably to assemble (U.S. Constitution). This gives everyone in America the right to freedom of speech, expression and to protest. Therefore, any student should have the right to say or do anything they want. In the case, Tinker v. Des Moines Independent Community School District (1969), there was a group of students planning to wear black armbands and to fast on December 16th and on New Year s eve to the Vietnam war. Prior to the protest, the school found out and created a policy which stated that any student wearing an armband will be asked to remove it and if they refuse, they will be suspended. Three students, Mary Beth Tinker, Christopher Eckhardt and John Tinker wore their armbands to school and got suspended. These students did not return to school until after the protest, which was New Year s Day. They also sued the school for violating their right to freedom of expression. Today people lie without a thought, are sexist beyond belief, and are all around rude and disrespectful. In the Twelve Trusts it outlines the ways a person should behave towards themselves, and more importantly how you treat other people. If we could take some of the rules from the Twelve Trusts, and applied it to modern day, there wouldn t be as much conflict or issues among people. The first rule I would want to bring back is rule number four. This rule says: I will speak the truth at all times, and forever keep my word . This is a pretty big issue in modern day. People blatantly lie, and break promises left and right. Lying has personally ruined several friendships. We could make this a rule today, in the form of a social norm. Sexism plays a large role in our culture today too. From the way women are treated on the street (I.e. catcalls, harassment, stalking, or even rape) to how we are raised, there is commonly a lot of sexism present. It isn t uncommon for a man to receive a higher wage than a woman for the exact some job. With this rule, we could eradicate sexism and

When visiting the Big Island, there is also an astronomy center named Imiloa and we learned that the Big Island is home to the tallest mountain if measured from the ocean floor, Mauna Kea. Until I visited the Big Island, I wasn t aware that there are so many distinct differences between the Big Island and the island of O ahu. Both the Big Island and the island of O ahu are unique, but also share many similarities. First off, these islands do not have extreme temperatures. The first unmistakable difference they have is the fact that the Big Island is home to two active volcanoes; Kilauea and Mauna Loa. O ahu does not have any active volcanoes, but there is a possibility that they could still erupt in the future. Although the Big Island is larger than the other seven Hawaiian islands combined, the Big Island is also the youngest Hawaiian island. With that said, O ahu is the third oldest and the third largest island of all eight of them. Looks can be deceiving in this case. Lastly, the Big Island also has some of the largest scientific telescopes that sit on Mauna Kea. On the island of O ahu, there are no telescopes that sit on any of the inactive volcanoes. Overall, the distinct differences between O ahu and the Big Island include one island having active volcanoes, their size, and the fact that only one of them has some of the largest telescopes in the world. The Big Island, in fact, does have some of the largest telescopes that sit on Mauna A Wakea. There are many characteristics between these two islands that are indistinguishable and different. Consider visiting both of these beautiful islands; they may seem similar, but they are both special and remarkable in their own
  • 54. Cognitive Map Analysis In the article called Cognitive Map Or Medium Materiality? Reading On Paper And Screen , Jinghui Hou and her colleagues, Justin Rashid and Kwan Min Lee consider the differences between reading on a screen and paper. The writers review number of studies done by other people and direct their own research towards explaining these differences by examining the way two mechanisms, such as medium materiality and cognitive map affects comprehension, feeling of fatigue and immersion. They found out that reading from screen of a tablet causes feeling of fatigue and lowers immersion since web pages usually have destructions and links which hinder people from feeling of immersion and from being concentrated in one thing only, thereby resulting in less comprehension of the text. However, they did not identify any significant differences in reading speed in different mediums. Hou is an Assistant Professor of Communicationin the School of Communication at Florida State University. Lee is also Assistant Professor of Communication,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This will help to support my point that reading from tablet or computer screen affects people s vision and understanding of the text. I will further look if reading from different medium affects reading speed, because this is the one thing that this research has missed. The idea that emerged from reading this article is that If reading on screen causes health issues such as eye fatigue then can it also affect our sleeping
  • 55. Boyle s Conception Of Truth How can we ascertain that a camera obscura, i.e. a darken box with a small hole truly generate a projection of the world outside it? The philosopher and scientist Robert Boyle s argued that truth is bound to the assurance of society, while RenГ© Descartes, on the other hand, argued that we can trust empirical knowledge when it appears to be clear and distinct to us. Thus, the following essay will discuss these two conceptions of truth, starting with Boyle and then engaging with Descartes. Lastly, I will argue and conclude that Boyle s approach is nowadays more prominent because it better describes the mechanism in which we reach truth in the sciences practices. While developing his experimental philosophy, Boyle recognized that with the birth

Command And Market Economies The business environment uses several different factors of production which are defined as the various useful resources that an economy utilizes to create goods and services for their customers. • 57. The Controversial Issue Of Illegal Immigration Illegal immigration is a subject that is literally splitting the country in half when considering the opposing opinions. While there are quite a few reasons backing up both sides of this controversial topic, I believe that illegal immigrants should be allowed to stay so long as they go through the proper procedures. I agree with those saying that it is unfair for those who are breaking the law to be allowed citizenship, but I also believe that there substantial reasons for allowing immigrants to stay. Illegal immigrants not only add to the mixed diversity of America, but they also offer their services for many different types of jobs leading to a higher economy. If immigrants get approved to be citizens and Americans begin to look at them like
