 PA SYSTEM:A public address system (PA
system) is an electronic sound amplification
and distribution system with a microphone,
amplifier and loudspeakers, used to allow a
person to address a large public, for example
for announcements of movements at large and
noisy air and rail terminals or at a sports
stadium.
 . PA systems with many speakers are widely used
to make announcements in public, institutional and
commercial buildings and locations. Intercom
systems, installed in many buildings, have
microphones in many rooms allowing the
occupants to respond to announcements.
 It is of two types: 1. Manual PA system
2. Automatic PA system
 MANUAL PA SYSTEM: This system not uses
any type of program. It is portable.
 AUTOMATIC PA SYSTEM: one famous
automatic pa system is:-
PC based
 IVRS: An interactive voice response system
that can recognize a customer’s voice and
answer queries as well as any person. It can
enhance our organizations efficiency unlike
conventional interactive system.
 Interactive voice response (IVR) is a technology
that allows a computer to interact with humans
through the use of voice and DTMF tones input
via keypad.
 TIB (TRAIN INFORMATION DISPLAY SYSTEM):
 Display Systems Controlled by latest Micro Controller Based
Technology
 Displays the Arrival/ Departure Information of Trains
along with platform no. & Delays.
 Uniform visibility of Display Boards.
 High resolution with reliable LED Display.
 High readability.
 Data Displays specially designed Train information displays
are manufactured to provide an optimum viewing angle for
passengers on the platform and report clear, accurate and
timely information to passengers.
 All displays are designed to withstand constant vibration
and are supplied in both water and dust proof housing.
 CIB (COACH GUIDANCE SYSTEM):
 It has single cable for data input to all the
display boards of the same platform. Its extreme
brightness assures the effective reflection of the
message even in intense daylight. Here are some
significant features of Passenger Coach
Guidance System:
 Adjustable LED Brightness.
 Low Power Consumption. (Specially Designed
SMPS)
 At railway station, there is a GPS Based Master
Slave Digital Clock.
 Digital clocks with GPS synchronization are
highly readable systems consisting of one
master clock and several slave clocks. Master
clock system updates its time from precision
GPS data and sends syncs periodically to slave
clocks for synchronization. Slave clocks can
also work in standalone mode by updating its
time from GPS receiver.
 The global positioning system is a satellite-
based navigation system consisting of a
network of 24 orbiting satellites that are eleven
thousand nautical miles in space and in six
different orbital paths. The satellites are
constantly moving, making two complete
orbits around the Earth in just under 24 hours.
If you do the math, that's about 2.6 kilometers
per second.
 The use of GPS and other satellite systems in
order to track trains and relay real-time
information has long been feted as a possible
means to keep disgruntled passengers up to
speed with information as to why their train is
late, where it is and when it will arrive.
 WI-FI is a local area wireless computer networking
technology that allows electronic devices to
connect to the network.
 Equipment used onboard a moving train must be
resistant to shocks and vibrations to ensure
continuous system operation. For wireless devices,
the antenna and Ethernet port are the main
portholes for delivering internet access to
passengers and connecting with back-end systems.
A rugged design is essential to prevent the antenna
and Ethernet cable from getting disconnected,
which would cause a sudden interruption in
network access.
 There should be adequate security
arrangement around the platform & in the
train. Cleanliness must be given utmost
importance. Audio video visuals to be installed
regarding safer & clean practices around the
platform and on the train.
