The document analyzes survey responses about three movie trailers - Would You Rather, Circle, and Nerve. 40% of general survey respondents found Would You Rather most appealing, while psychological thriller fans predominantly preferred Circle. Circle maintained suspense and mystery for these fans by leaving unanswered questions, a quality appealing for the genre. The document examines differences between general audiences and specific genre fans in trailer preferences to understand universal appealing elements and differences.
This is a powerpoint to show the results from survey. I asked 21 people to fill out a questionnaire consisting of a series of 10 questions about films and film trailers. I then collected the data, put it into various different graphs and charts, and then analysed the information. This gave me more knowledge into my target audience's opinions about film trailers, and what genre film I should consider making.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
2. THE TRAILERS
For this part of the survey analysis, I will be looking into what people had to
say about the three trailers and more importantly what they found
appealing about each one.
The three trailers were Would You Rather, Circle and Nerve
On the next few slides I will go through which film the general public found
most appealing and why. I will also be looking into what those who said
psychological thriller was their favourite genre said about the trailers.
This is so that I can see which trailer appeals to a general audience and
if that differs to a specific audience.
This will also tell me if there are any universal features of trailers that
appeal to both demographics.
3. WHICH TRAILER DO YOU FIND MOST
APPEALING?

What Does This Show?
From this data I can see that Would You Rather was the most popular trailer with
those who took my survey and the least popular was Circle. However there was
only 3.3% difference between Would You Rather and Nerve. One of the reasons
why Nerve was so popular is probably because the largest age group to take my
survey was 15-17 year olds and from my previous findings the two most popular
genres with that group were action and crime films. Nerve is categorised as a
crime thriller and is therefore likely to appeal to the majority of people who took
my survey.
4. CONTINUED
As a result of these findings, I feel it is important to look at what a more
specific demographic thought. The following data shows what trailer
appealed most to those who specified psychological thrillers as their
favourite genre.

Would You

Circle
Nerve
As you can see, this data is different in comparison to the general public. Here
Circle, which was the least popular, is the most popular with psychological thriller
watchers. This is likely because Circle and Would You Rather follow more of the
conventions of psychological thrillers than Nerve which is probably the reasons for
this.
5. CONTINUED
Here I have taken an answer from my survey that I thought clearly summed
up why those who liked psychological thrillers, such as this survey taker,
mainly chose Circle. They talk about how the trailer created suspense and left
enigmas meaning that a sense of mystery was sustained. This would appeal
to those who like psychological thrillers as it leads the audience to fill in the
gaps of their knowledge as not everything has been discovered.
