 Our intended target audience was a range
between 16 - 21 year olds, both male and female.
I constructed a questionnaire to find out who the
slasher genre was aimed at.The questionnaire
gave me a chance to find out the demographic of
the people who would watch the chosen genre of
film.This questionnaire allowed me to see that
the younger generation preferred scary movies
rather than the older generation.This shows the
generation gap and I can connote from this that
as the older generation are stereotypically more
conservative and do not prefer slasher movies.

3. Stalker Slasher films
 As a teenager myself, I can understand that as a young person,
slasher movies are exciting to me because I like the adrenaline
rush. Below is a screen grab of a previous presentation in which
I analysed the content of my questionnaire results.The passage
below states why people enjoy watching stalker - slasher films.
 Stalker - slasher; Reasons for liking the stalker- slasher genre
consisted of it being fun as it gives the public an 'adrenaline
rush'.The public are able to mock their friends when they get
scared which can be 'amusing'.They work as a 'therapy'.This is
because watching a slasher movie can be relaxing as they enjoy
knowing it isn't real. People like to scare themselves and watch
films that give them a 'thrill'.

4. Poster and Magazine Cover
 From the verbal surveys I conducted, the
feedback declared that from the poster and
magazine cover, the genre could be identified as
a horror film. From the survey, I could connote
that the masks were an appropriate way to
present my poster and magazine cover.
 The survey respondents preferred the poster
over the magazine cover and stated that the
magazine cover should include the tagline for
the movie. I could have improved the cover by
adding the tagline underneath the comment.

5. Trailer
 According to verbal surveys in which I showed the trailer
to a varied group of participants, the trailer is seen to be
‘mysterious’ and ‘thought provoking’ as it makes the
audience wonder who the masked killer is.This shows
me that it is effective as it creates a sense of curiosity
among the targeted audience.This encourages them to
watch the film after seeing the trailer.
 The survey respondents stated that the trailer could be
improved however by adding more ‘gory’ scenes.
However, we did not want to reveal too much.
 It could also be improved by using harsher sounding
sound effects. However, the sound effects were high
pitched and eerie.
