This document provides an overview of India's energy grid, emphasizing the growth and management of the power sector alongside load dispatch centers' roles and the introduction of high voltage direct current (HVDC) projects. It discusses the evolution of the grid from pre-independence to the creation of the national grid, highlighting the recent One Nation, One Grid, One Frequency initiative that synchronizes the grids for efficient power distribution. Various challenges in grid management are also outlined, as well as the improvements in power supply following significant infrastructure advancements.
