Recital Review and Report
The recital I attended was on Tuesday April 15, 2014 at 7:00pm located in the Recital Hall. This
performance was a Diploma Recital for Hyejin Joo, who is a Performer of Piano. The pieces Ms. Joo
performed were the Italian Concerto in F Major, BWV 971, Fantasiestücke, Op. 12, and the Suite
bergamasque (1905).
The first piece performed was the Italian Concerto in F Major, BWV 971 which was composed by
Johann Sebastian Bach within the years 1685 1750. This piece has three individual movements,
Allegro, Andante, and Presto. The names of the individual pieces translated to modern English are:
brisk or rapid in tempo (cheerful), moderately slow and even, and quickly, rapidly; at a rapid tempo.
The names of each individual movement describe how each part of the overall piece is to be played.
Within the first movement, it was detectable when she played full scales; it was easier to notice after
learning the G and F scales in class. The beginning was very fast, and although it was upbeat, it almost
felt like a rushed sort of urgency within the first piece. Andante seemed to be a sad piece. As it was
slow and evenly played, it had a melancholy feel to it. The underlying base clef kept a steady deep
tone that despite when the treble notes picked up a bit, it kept it from becoming cheerful in the
slightest. The third piece, presto, was very fast paced. There was a distinct difference between when
she played piano p compared to when she played mezzo forte mf. I could also recognize

Mexican Is Not A Noun, By Alarcon
Francisco X. Alarcon received inspiration for his writing from his background as a Mexican American
and the era of the sixties where the Black Arts Movement was at its height and Latin American poets
were growing and learning from different poetic styles (Kirszner, Mandell, 2012). Furthermore, the
inspiration for the poem Mexican Is Not a Noun was based on protest by cannery workers and
students from UC Santa Cruz where fifty three of them were arrested on October 27, 1985. The key
component of Mexican Is Not a Noun or the concrete word is Mexican which is a general word
because it refers to an entire class or group. From the five lines of the sonnet Alarcon is making it
clear that Mexicans are not referred to as nouns or adjective in

Pathos, Pros, And Cons And Uses Of The Hyundai Commercials
One product most people use in their everyday lives are vehicles. I have chosen two commercials, one
advertising the Honda Ridgeline and the other marketing the Hyundai Elantra. In the Honda
commercial, a farmer tends to his sheep, that start singing as soon as the farmer drives away. The
Hyundai commercial is very comical, showing a town where everyone is Ryan Reynolds to catch your
attention. These commercials use pathos, ethos, and logos to sell their product. Advertisements use
many forms of persuasion to get people to buy their product. One of these is pathos, which appeals to
the emotions of the audience and evokes their feelings. In the Honda commercial, one can see sheep in
the pasture singing to Somebody to Love after the farmer drives off in his new Honda Ridgeline. This
is very humorous, considering sheep do not speak, let alone belt out notes from Queen. Not only are
there singing sheep, but there is a talking dog towards the end of the commercial which tells those
who are watching about the Honda Ridgeline ( Honda Ridgeline Super Bowl Commercial internet).
This is similar to the Hyundai commercial, which is also very amusing. The audience can see two
women driving through a neighborhood, where every person is Ryan Reynolds. This shows pathos,
because it appeals to the viewers emotions by laughing at the comical commercial ( Ryanville
Hyundai Super Bowl internet). Another form of persuasion commercials use is ethos, which appeals to
one s ethics. In the

Psychoanalysis Of The Scarlet Letter
Kyle Michka
English 4

Psychoanalysis of The Scarlet Letter Sigmund Freud created the psychoanalytic theory of personality,
of which there are three elements; the id, the ego and the superego. These elements all work in
conjunction with each other to create complex human behaviors. Freud originally came up with the
theory while he was performing dream work studies, since some elements exist in the unconscious
realm, where the first element, the id, mostly presents itself. Freud describes the id as a dark,
inaccessible part of our personality; a chaos, a cauldron full of seething excitations. The id knows no
judgments of value; no good and evil, and no morality. The second element is the ego, which is
primarily concerned with reality. The ego s task is to find a balance between the primitive drives of the
id and the over morality of the Superego, which aims for perfection and regulates our sense of right
and wrong, the opposite of the id. These elements exist in our conscious, preconscious and
unconscious mind, sometimes overlapping into the different areas. Consciousness consists of things of
which we are aware at any given moment. Preconsciousness consists of things we are not aware of but
can easily become aware. For example, friend s names, old phone numbers, and memories are not
usually in the consciousness, but can be brought up to the conscious level when called upon.
Unconsciousness consists of those memories that have been consciously repressed and

Lessons Learned from A Very Old Man With Enormous Wings...
Lessons Learned from A Very Old Man With Enormous Wings
A Very Old Man With Enormous Wings is a short fiction story written by Gabriel Garcia Marquez in
1955. Magical realism plays a major part in this story by the use of fantasy of an old man being
portrayed as an angel who has come to create miracles to a family along with many other believers.
Some will believe, others will just shoo this so called angel away in a painful and heart breaking way.
I enjoyed this story very much. I was able to get very interested. Marquez starts it out with On the
third day of rain. That line right there is magical because angels are of God, and on the third day God s
son rose from the grave. It was the third day that Pelayo came upon ... Show more content on

Just like in this story, many people were throwing leftover foods to him, coming to him just for a
miracle, then having nothing more to do with him. They had only used him and did not see him for
who he really was. What would seem to be humiliating to me and was to the angel, I assume, was that
a priest, Father Gonzaga, sent away to Rome for a judgment on what they should do.
A human with wings was foreign to these people. Some did not believe because an angel is appeared
to be beautiful. This old man was just your average Joe with wings to many people. However, some
had paid money to see this supernatural creature. What was magical at this point was when Marquez
talks about the woman who disobeyed her parents and was changed into a spider. How magical can
this be? A woman, who is a spider the size of a ram! The angel and this woman were the main
attractions of the town. The realistic element here is obvious. For instance, in the town of Ironton,
when someone goes to use the bathroom everyone knows about it. Similarly, it did not take long for
this town to hear the news. Anyway, the woman spider ended up getting more attention because her
story was of the truth to the town and the angel was only of mocking fun. Anyhow, people had paid so
much money that Pelayo and his family became rich. They built a mansion. Their child played with
the angel. The angel and their son both came down with the chicken pox at the same time. An angel

Sternberg s Triangular Theory Of Commuality And...
Commitment has proven to be an integral component within most lasting relationships. Many scholars
have worked to uncover the reasoning behind what leads to increased commitment and relationship
longevity. Of course, with each romantic relationship, the reasons for why an individual or a couple
remains together can vary, leading to a wide variety of theories to be established to explain the
components of commitment. Theories include a focus on the investment theory of commitment,
perceived relationship satisfaction, relationship alternatives, and the rewards and costs of a
relationship in correlation to motivators behind commitment. The primary goal of this paper is to
examine the complexities of commitment in relation to the aforementioned theories for promoting
relationship longevity.
In order to best understand the role of commitment within already established romantic relationships,
it s necessary to look at the various theories concerning topics of commitment. First and foremost, the
work of Lemieux and Hale analyze Sternberg s Triangular Theory of Love, which serves as a strong
foundation for understanding the role of commitment within a romantic relationship. The
aforementioned theory states that love is composed of three parts: intimacy, passion, and commitment.
According to the studies pertaining to this theory, each of the three components change in prevalence
throughout the course of a relationship.
Lemieux and Hale have found that there are varying correlations

Job Application
When applying for employment by mail a job application letter must accompany your resume. Often
times an employer may be flooded by perhaps a stack of a hundred or more resumes on any given day.
In such situations, getting an interview can represent a major break through for the job applicant. The
job application letter you write can and should be used to substitute for that all important interview
that you may not otherwise get, regardless of your qualifications. So, construct it wisely. Resumes at
best part put forth only a rather simple table of data depicting your past work history and educational

Writing an effective and powerful job application letter is an integral part of your job search and
crucial to winning a job. Not all job application letters will go directly to an employer. They may need
to go through a third party such as an employment agency, recruitment firm or job network agency.
This section identifies 8 different types of employment or job application letters you may need in your
job search such as prospecting letters for cold calling, letters to generate leads through networking,
and letters of interest to an employment agency: Each job search method will require you to write a
letter with different content. You need to be able to create a message with irresistible appeal to your
target market. An effective job application letter will position you ahead of the competition and the
way you apply for a job will depend upon the job search method you use. A letter in response to an
advertised position is the most common and therefore it is treated as a separate topic and is treated

Summary Of The Great Storytellingki-Tikki Tavi
The Great Rikki tikki tavi Bravery has many characters and one mammal has them all. Rikki tikki tavi
fought single handed, through the bathrooms of the big bungalow in Segowlee cantonment. Darzee,
the tailor bird, helped him, and Chuchundra, the muskrat, who never comes out into the middle of the
floor but always creeps round by the wall, gave him advice; but Rikki tikki did the real fighting. He
was a mongoose, rather like a little cat in his fur and his tail but quite like a weasel in his head and his
habits. His eyes and the end of his restless nose were pink; he could scratch himself anywhere he
pleased with any leg, front or back, that he chose to use; he could fluff up his tail till it looked like a
bottle. One day, a high summer flood washed him out of the burrow where he lived with his father and
mother and carried him, kicking and clucking, down a roadside ditch. He found a little wisp of grass
floating there and clung to it till he lost his senses. When he revived, he was lying in the hot sun in the
middle of a garden path, very draggled indeed, and a small boy was saying: Here s a dead mongoose.
Let s have a funeral. No, said his mother; let s take him in and dry him. Perhaps he isn t really dead.
(Kipling 143) The book by Rudyard Kipling and the movie Rikki tikki tavi is about a mongoose
named Rikki tikki tavi. This mammal is one of the great fighters of the dreaded cobras, and in this
story, the Rulers of the garden. The book

A Product Of Clean Edge
Intro: A product that was finishing trials was to soon end up on the shelf of every major retailer in the
world. Paramount, a global market leader in the consumer non disposable razor industry is planning to
launch a new product into the market by the name of Clean Edge. Clean Edge is an innovative,
premium priced, new razor whose goal is to increase Paramount s market share, sales and inevitably
profit. As a company, Paramount has a strong history in the industry, entering the market back in 1962
and growing to a $13 billion company in 2009. Paramount specializes in disposable razors, cartridges,
shaving cream and depilatories and currently has two razor products already on the market, Pro and
Avail. With the launch of Clean Edge, management experiences conflicting ideas; Paramount is unsure
of how to best position Clean Edge within the growing market, considering the competition launched
a similar product right before the Clean Edge launch. The company is torn between two primary
options, a niche position, targeting a small market with a premium razor versus a mainstream position,
targeting a broader market by presenting an innovative product. After analyzing marketing budgets,
market share, operating profit, branding strategy and allocations for 2008 and 2009, it is concluded
that Paramount should engage in a niche position, which as per Appendix C will generate the higher
profit of $31.37 compared to the $2.84 in profit generated by a mainstream position. Clean Edge

The Governmental Branches Of The United States Essay
Three governmental branches were created by the new constitution: an executive branch, a judicial
branch and a legislative branch. The constitution called for the election of a governor and 24 senators
and identified eligible voters as men who were possessed of freeholds of the value of one hundred
pounds, over and above all debts charged thereon. The constitution also called for the election of 70
assemblymen for 14 declared counties who were to be elected by male inhabitant of full age, who
shall have personally resided within one of the counties of New York State for six months immediately
preceding the day of election. New York also guaranteed the right to trial by jury, which had been
eroded under British rule. The Constitution granted the national government more power than under
the Articles of Confederation. Many Americans were concerned that the national government with its
new powers, as well as the new division of power between the central and state governments, would
threaten liberty. Legislative Branch New York State Legislature refers to the two houses that act as the
state legislature of the U.S. state of New York. The New York Constitution does not designate an
official term for the two houses together. It says only that legislative power is vested in the senate and
assembly. The Legislature, through its varied functions, serves as a check upon the executive authority
of the Governor and helps ensure that the best interests of the State s citizens are

However, There Is One Issue Regarding To The Downsized
However, there is one issue regarding to the downsized engines.Porsche s Engine Downsizing
There are more than one billion cars around the world up to date and this number is increasing rapidly
because of the demand for them. Most of the cars in the world have big engines right now. Big engines
are made of eight cylinder (V8), ten cylinder (V10), or twelve cylinder (V12 / W12). Those types of
engines have been used for many years in the car industry. Most of the car manufacturers prefer to use
those engines because their customers like them and thinking that more cylinder means more power.
For many years, those car manufacturers have not realized one thing that big engines emission rates
are actually really important for the environment ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After introducing the Cayenne, they also started to produce four door coupe alike sedan called
Panamera with the same engine options in 2011. Porsche mostly used their V8 engines in their four
door cars until 2014, but after that year they started to downsize their engines because of the new
emission rules that their government released. By those new reduced emission regulations, Porsche
become one of the first sports car manufacturers that started to downsize their engines. Downsizing
the engine is pretty simple. They are actually taking 4.8 liter, eight cylinder V8 engine and changing it
with the 3.6 liter, six cylinder V6 engine. When they are downsizing the engine, they are also adding
that engine a turbocharger to make it much powerful as the bigger engine. (Turbocharger is helping
the engine to get more air to the pistons to increase its performance) Most of the Porsche customers
thought bigger engines are stronger and it makes the car go faster, but actually it is not true because
when they add turbochargers to the new downsized engine, it makes the car much powerful as the old
models. Another thing about the downsizing the engine is the fact that, when the manufacturer makes
the engine smaller, they are actually making the car lighter too and that lighter car goes faster on the
road than the previous models because it has

Stereotypes And Stereotypes Of The Media
In our media intensive culture, it is not difficult to find different opinions as well as stereotypes.
Stereotypes are found in the media every day and affect our opinion as well as how we perceive
others. Stereotypes of the GLBT community in the media are most commonly found in movies or in
TV shows but they rarely talk about their sexual identity. When their identity is being portrayed, it is
shown with some form of stereotype. The identity of the homosexual seems to stem from a stereotype
itself; sometimes as if the GLBT community has formed their identities based on stereotypes. Men are
commonly shown as feminine while women are portrayed to be masculine . Other stereotypes such as
that all gay men are all into fashion or that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These very stereotypes have influenced all of our views on LGBT men and women.
Stereotypes are damaging ideas about how a group of people are supposed to behave and act. It
dehumanizes them by lumping them into broad categories it takes away their traits that makes them
unique and it does not define their personality and turns them into a form of objects. The idea that the
male homosexual is directly linked to feminism is inaccurate. While there are some males who express
themselves in behaviors that are considered to be feminine, there are others who do not. Gay men are
displayed to seem interested in fashion, are meticulous, and are emotional but in reality not all men
display these characteristics. This stereotype damages gay males in the extent that they are playing a
role in which gay men are hiding their uniqueness as individual human beings because of the
formation of these stereotypes.
Sexual behavior and desire varies from person to person and like all humans, gay people also have
sexual needs. The stereotype of them having sex with multiple partners also increases the
generalization that all gay people may have AIDS or HIV. According to US statistics, gay people of all
races are in fact the most severely affected with HIV but the misconception that they all have AIDS or
HIV is wrong. This is harmful to the gay community because men and women who are heterosexual

The Shawchek Redemption And The Shawshank Redemption
The Shawshank Redemption (1994) was directed and written by Frank Darabont. It is an adaptation of
the novella Rita Hayworth and The Shawshank Redemption, written by Stephen King. The film
received a lot of critical acclaim and was nominated for the 1994 Best Picture Academy Award. Many
of King s literary works had been adapted to screen prior to the release of The Shawshank
Redemption. Films including Stand By Me (1986) and The Shining (1980) establish King s name in
the cinematic world. This notoriety would have been beneficial to the film as the director, Frank
Darabont, had only ever directed a short film before, which was coincidentally also an adaptation of
Stephen King s The Woman In The Room. Fidelity can be difficult to accomplish when adapting
written text to the screen as there are a different set of rules and limitations. Where a novel may have
hundreds of pages, a film only has a few hours to convey the same message and meaning to the
audience. A film must show the events whereas a written text can tell the reader what occurred.
In the novella, Red is introduced before Andy. The entire story is from his point of view. As the
narrator of the novella, Red feels that before he can talk about Andy he has to explain a few other
things about [him]self (2012, p.4). The reader gains more of an insight into Red and his past than is in
the film. In The Shawshank Redemption the audience is initially shown Andy on the night of the
murder of his wife and her lover. Darabont

The Effect Of Strain Gauge Rosette Used For Multi Channel...
Abstract While calculating the results from the collected data, the thin plate shows non linear
behaviour such that stress does not vary linearly with strain. In theory when pressure is concentrated at
the centre of a circular plate, stress value decreases with respect to increasing radial distance from the
centre. However in this case, we see that there are two principal stresses and they behave differently
than one another. This experiment will introduce us to a new strain gauge called strain gauge rosette
used for multi channel strain measurement and other equations to calculate principal stresses and
strains in a two dimensional state. Introduction For a thin circular plate, stress and strain usually occur
in a two dimensional state. As it is difficult to measure stress, strains are instead measured in real life
practices and its corresponding stress values are calculated. The most popular measuring tool for strain
is the strain gauge. Since strain is the measure of change in displacement over the original dimension
of a structure, the measuring tool must be sensitive enough to detect that small change in
displacement. Thus, we can learn how to handle sensitive measuring equipment and ways to ensure
that the data collected is as accurate as possible and also to omit any errors that will affect the final
calculation. Besides that, we can broaden our knowledge on multi channel strain measurements
because in reality two dimensional strains are not

The Spiritual Discipline Of Practicing The Presence
Introduction
Practicing the presence is to develop a continual openness and awareness of Christ s presence living in
oneself . It involves turning your mind to a Christward direction, constantly being thankful and doing
everything for God. This reflective essay will cover numerous aspects of the spiritual discipline of
practicing the presence, including my original understanding, a significant Christian historical figure,
and denomination comparison. Furthermore, different personal experiences of practising the presence,
specifically individual, group and corporate, as well as a reflection on my original ideas and closing
with ways to encourage practising the presence in ones daily Christian walk.

My original understanding about practising the presence was centralised on the idea of seeking God
through prayer and going into that secret place where I can just soak in His presence and allow Him to

A Significant Christian figure in history who has contributed to this discipline
Brother Lawrence is one of the most significant figures for the spiritual discipline of practising the

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart ( 1756-1791 )
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756 1791) is without a doubt one of the most influential composers to
have ever lived. From his piano works to his symphonies, Mozart never ceased to amaze people with
his music. He had a very exciting career that began in his childhood that involved traveling to different
cities and performing and writing music for a number of large and well respected audiences. Along
with Mozart s obviously notable works, his sacred music was also exceptionally popular at the time,
as he adopted and further adapted the sacred writing styles of composers before him. Mozart s Mass in
C minor, K427 is arguably his most well known sacred work, as it incorporates virtuosity, a large
ensemble, and is also an unfinished work. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After returning from his tour of Europe, it is said that Mozart needed time to recover from the various
illnesses he had received while traveling. While in Salzburg, it is unknown whether or not Mozart
attended a school, but it is known that his father taught him much of what he knew early on in life. It
is said that his father helped him write compositions at the beginning, and by 1767 they had an
extensive list of keyboard works. Unfortunately, none of these early works for Mozart s Salzburg
childhood remain. It wasn t until 1768 that Mozart composed and premiered his first major work.
Mozart at just twelve years old wrote his first full opera La Finte Simplice, and had it premiered in
Vienna. Many opera critics realized that Mozart s early works were up to par, if not better than the
similar works written at the time. After the operas s success in Vienna, Salzburg s archbishop wanted
to showcase the native Austrian and scheduled a performance of La Finte Simplice in 1769. Since this
work is an opera buffa, special performers were brought in to correctly portray the roles and style as
Mozart wanted them to be. In 1773, Mozart decided to leave his father and his home of Salzburg to try
and further his career as a court musician and composer. In 1777, he went on another European city

Combating Resistance to Organizational Change Essay
Combating Resistance to Organizational Change
By any objective measure, the amount of important, frequently distressing, change in organizations
has grown enormously over the last two decades (Kotter, 1996). Jeffrey M. Hiatt, CEO of Prosci Inc.,
(as cited by Gibson, Ivancevich, Donnelly Konopaske, 2009, p. 481) explained, thirty years ago, a
foturne 100 probably had one or two enterprisewide change intitiatives goiong on; today that number
is proably between 20 and 25. The speed of global, economic, and techological development makes
change an ineveitable element of organiztional life. Change is a pervasive, perisitent, and permenant
condition for all organizations (Gibson, et al., 2009). Organizational change means different ... Show

If organizations are to thrive and be sustaining, they need to respond to the dynamics of their
environment with change. However, change is not a singular event with an isolated focus (Spector,
2007). Effective strategic renewal is a combination of the three faces of change turnaround, which
targets costs; technology, which targets internal process; and behavioral, which targets employee
actions and interactions (Spector, 2007). In a discussion on change management, particularly
management by control versus management by shaping, Palmer, et al. (2009) draw a similar
conclusion that organizations and human systems are complex and evolving and therefore cannot be
reduced to a single, linear objective of maximizing shareholder value (p. 50).
Forces for Change
Despite some variations in change approach labels among academic research, it seems generally
accepted that forces for change are the catalyst for change itself. Gibson, et al. (2009) classified forces
for change into two groups; environmental and internal, and further described environmental forces as
those generally beyond management s control and internal forces generally within management s
control. These forces for change trigger an intervention or change process that can take any of three
approaches: structural, behavioral, or technological (Gibson, et al. 2009). Similarly, Spector (2007)
discussed change approaches as those of organizational turnarounds, behavioral and

How Did King Lot Rule Hawaii
Lot Kapuaiwa Kalanimakua Ali iolani Kalani Kapuapaikalaninui, otherwise known and more easily
pronounced as King Kamehameha V, was one of the most administratively prepared kings to rule
Hawaii. One of his best known accomplishments was perhaps his decision not to uphold the 1852
constitution, but instead to write a new constitution entirely. This was the constitution of 1864 He had
a royal birth, and a successful reign, until he tragically died at age 42. Born on the 11th of December,
1830, Lot was the son of High Chiefess Kina u, and High Chief Mataio Kekuanao a. He was the
brother of Alexander Liholiho (Kamehameha IV). While growing up, Lot attended the Chief s
Childrens School. After his schooling ended in 1848, Lot stared working ... Show more content on

Because of this, he had to spend most of his time indoors. In fact, he liked to visit a friend in
Waimanalo, but the rough Pali trail was a problem to him, so he decided to buy a steamboat to take
him there in peace. Unfortunately, after reigning over Hawaii for 9 productive years, Lot became ill
and bedridden. Then, on his 42nd birthday, he sent for his Bernice Pauahi Bishop to ask her to be his
successor, she politely declined. A few moments before he died, he said, it is hard to die on my
birthday , and those by his side told him not to think such thoughts, but he alas said God s will be
done! And then, at 10:20am, Lot Kapuaiwa Kalanimakua Ali iolani Kalani Kapuapaikalaninui, or
King Kamehameha V, passed away. This tragic loss left Hawaii without a named heir, the legislature
would now have to decide who the new monarch should

Hypertension And Vitamin D Supplementation
Hypertension and vitamin D supplementation
Cardiovascular disease is the most common cause of worldwide mortality and morbidity and
accounted 30% of deaths around the world in 2003 (Vacek et al., 2011). Hypertension is a worldwide
epidemic that has a strong association with age and life patterns (Wuerzner, Burnier Waeber, 2012).
Hypertension has been considered as a major risk factor of myocardial infarction, stroke, heart failure,
peripheral vascular disease, chronic kidney disease, mental health issues and early death (Vacek et al.,
2011; Wuerzner, Burnier Waeber, 2012). If the systolic pressure reaches to 140mm Hg or higher and
diastolic pressure climbs up to 90 mm Hg, this condition can be termed as hypertension (Torpy, Lymn
Glass, 2010, p. 2098).
Evidence suggests that vitamin D insufficiency is associated with hypertension and cardiovascular
disease (Vacek et al., 2011). To treat hypertension, international guidelines recommend use of
pharmaceutical agents which not only reduce blood pressure but also decrease the risk of CAD, stroke,
heart failure and pre mature death (Wuerzner, Burnier Waeber, 2012). Vitamin D is an important
element of bone mineralization and homeostasis however, the role of vitamin D in treating
hypertension is unknown (Geleijnse, 2011). The use of vitamin D to treat hypertension has not been
recognised in the treatment guidelines (Wuerzner, Burnier Waeber, 2012). Some studies on animals
have found that vitamin D may be used to reduce

Garage Shelving Case
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Rolesville, NC) HSH.com reports the number one complaint of homeowners is a lack of storage
space. They surveyed 1,001 individuals to discover what annoyed them most about their home to
obtain this information, and The Wyman Group states this is due to individuals wanting more room for
their items, as opposed to a need for more space for a larger family. This is especially of concern in
older homes, which tend to lack in this area, and people often look for creative ways to add to their
residence. Garage Attics offers a solution to this problem in the form of Garage Storage.
Garage Shelving is one option many individuals look to when they need more room for their
possessions. This takes up valuable floor space, however, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In 2015, almost 25 percent of Americans said their garage was actually too cluttered to even bring
their car inside. No homeowner should give up this valuable space when we offer a solution,
Cocchiola continues.
Kelley Blue Book, back in 2015, reported that the average new car cost $30,000. This is an investment
an individual makes, therefore they should not leave their vehicle exposed to the elements. As one in
four people are doing exactly this, it s obvious many homeowners would benefit from a garage storage
system that doesn t use up any space on the floor.
Contact us today for a free, no obligation consultation and free estimate. Homeowners often fail to
recognize the possibilities in their existing home and either opt to buy a larger residence or add on to
the existing one for additional space. As this system makes use of the overhead space in a garage,
there is no need to do either. In addition to freeing up valuable space, Garage Attics saves homeowners
money, and all appreciate this added bonus, Cocchiola states.

Facts About Marketing To Children In Schools
Advertising, we are exposed to it every day, but no one is targeted by ads more than children. Whether
it s in schools, online, or out in the real world, kids are exposed to and targeted by ads each and every
day; and when you find out what advertisers really are and what they do, you will be shocked.
School, where kids go to learn, make new friends and be shaped into the young men and women of the
future. There is no way that there could be ads in school ... right? Wrong! According to the
documentary Ads in Schools , some companies, including Cole s, have set up advertising campaigns
that target young children in schools. In Coles campaign, they rewarded students for being able to sing
the company s jingle and also rewarded the kids school with sports equipment based on how much
their parents spent at Cole s. This technique leads to kids nagging their parents to shop at Cole s, even
though they barely got rewarded for it. Furthermore, in the article entitled Facts About Marketing to
Children , it states that nearly two thirds of schools have exclusive pouring rights with soda
companies. This means that that school, and that school alone, is allowed to use and sell that
product. This exposes kids to these ads each and every day, which can make it to where they constantly
ask their parents for money in order to buy the products that they were exposed to. ... Show more

exposed to this many ads lead them to ask their parents an average of 9 50 times, even though they

Integrated Services Digital Network ( Isdn )
Before we get into the discussion, let s briefly introduce some of the technologies used in WANs and
the different characteristics of each one:
Point to point links
A so called point to point link (Fig. 2.0) provides a pre established WAN communication path from the
user s location trough a telephone company s network, also known as the carrier. For this kind of line,
the carrier dedicates pairs of wire and hardware to that line only. This kind of circuits are priced
depending on bandwidth needed and distance to be covered.
(Figure 2.0 Point to point link)
Circuit Switching
Work like a normal telephone line. Data connections can be started when needed and terminated when
the communication is over. An example of circuit switching is called Integrated Services Digital
Network (ISDN). When a router receives data that s intended to go to a specific remote site, the
switched circuit (Fig. 2.1) is initiated with a specific circuit number for that particular network. As
soon the two networks that are trying to connect get the authentication done, it is possible to transfer
data. When data transmission is over, the communication gets terminated.
(Figure 2.1 Switched Circuit)
Packet Switching
Here users share common carrier resources (Fig. 2.2). This is a more cost effective solution compared
for example to point to point lines. The carrier can make more efficient use of its infrastructure.
Connections into the carrier s network are shared between many customers and

Betrayal in Death of a Slaesman and Stone Angel
The feeling of having been betrayed by a trusted or important figure in your life can result in
emotional damage, which can eventually lead to personal destruction. Stone Angel by Margaret
Lawrence and Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller, are two works of literature that put that very
statement into context. Although, the theme of betrayal is evident in both pieces, the protagonists of
the different plots Hagar Shipley and Willy Loman experience betrayal in two very different fashions.
Hagar Shipley is destroyed by her loss of independence and Willy Loman is forced into taking drastic
and unnecessary actions. Acts of betrayal are scattered throughout the lives of the two protagonists.

The name is necessary, essential. For the ticket. [But] Marvin looks after my money. The account s in
his name now. I had forgotten. I haven t a nickel. (Laurence 139) Hagar desires nothing more than to
get away from Marvin and Doris and prove to them she can be independent. Even as Hagar is on her
deathbed, her resentment towards Doris for putting her in this situation comes out as Doris is passing
her a cup of water, Hagar snaps, Of course. What do you think I am? What do you take me for? Here,
give it to me. Oh, for mercy s sake let me hold it for myself! (Lawrence 308) Hagar s disgust and
frustration with her situation comes out even as she is about to die, as she snarls at Doris. She takes
this frustration and rage to her death. The outcome of her plan to prove her independence ended up
being the end of her, similar to that of Willy Loman and his family. The betrayal involved in his life
was what ended his life. When Willy commits suicide his family is greatly affected, however his son,
Happy Loman says that, I m gonna show you and everybody else that Willy Loman did not die in
vain. He had a good dream. It s the only dream you can have to come out the number one man. He
fought it out here, and this is where I m gonna win it for him. (II, 7) This statement from his son

John Updike s Poem Ex-Basketball Player
Ex Basketball Player Most everyone has had an extraordinary dream; for some, it is to be a movie star
or to be on a professional sports team. Nevertheless, while great goals they are, they are not likely. For
example, about 1 and 70,000 people become a major movie star (study.com). Additionally, the
likelihood of entering the NBA from high school is 3 and 100,000 (ehow.com). Therefore, the great
majority are obligated to find something else to pursue. As a result of people s dreams being so out of
reach, it is difficult for them to succeed with their goals (infinitive). Because this scenario is so
common, it is often the central conflict in movies or literature. For example, this problem occurs for

Their rubber elbows hanging loose and low (Updike 7 9). The speaker gives the gas pumps human
qualities to contrast Flick s current lifestyle surroundings (Infinitive), with his desire to relive his past
lively basketball games. At work, he pretends to be back on the court with his teammates. In this
scene, Flick s loneliness after high school creates a melancholy tone because Updike personifies
inanimate objects. In addition, he tells about Flick back in his glory days. For instance, the speaker
highlights how excellent Flick was at basketball when he was in high school by saying how The ball
loved Flick (Updike 16). He explains the time back in highschool when everyone cared about him,
then contrasted it to his now boring life. Furthermore, Flick goes from being adored and loved by
everyone to abandoned by everyone (Infinitive). A consistent use of personification is noted in the
poem. Updike, the author of the poem, (Appositive) tells the reader the sad days of Flick after high
school, compared to his extraordinary high school basketball days. When he is grown with the same
skills, no one notices him; for example he when working and Updike describes Flick s hands by
saying, His hands are fine and nervous on the lug wrench. It makes no difference to the lug wrench,
though (Updike 23 24). The use of personification shows how he went from being loved with his
skills, to unnoticed in life. Flick was surrounded by

My Brother Sam Is Dead Decisions
Decisions, Decisions
The consequences of war can either have a positive or negative impact on a society. The results of war
have the ability to bring together people and even nations to solve conflicts of inequality and tyranny,
but war can also divide countries, nations and even families. (TRANSITION). This is what took place
in Tim Meeker s family. His father, Life, was a Loyalist and Sam, his brother was a Patriot. This alone
caused a great deal of friction and conflict that prohibited them from seeing eye to eye or even
agreeing to disagree. Towards the end of My Brother Sam is Dead, Tim s father, brother, and a slave,
Ned ironic deaths, helped Tim make his decision to ultimately remain neutral. Life s lifelong loyalty
did not matter in the end. His kidnapping and death were both unexpected and strange because he died
on a British prison ship controlled by people he sided with where he was treated poorly. Later, Tim
found out that Father was dead...it wasn t a Rebel prison ship, it was a British one...they d had an

Sam was shot to death by a firing squad that had no mercy. He went on jerking with flames on his

The Role Of Special Schools For Students With Children...
Inclusion in school is built upon removing barriers to participation access and achievement for all
pupils (Grimes, 2009) it is only effective if it has been well resourced and has targeted funding, early
identification implemented covering the children s needs and intervening as early as possible, the
correct training for teachers and support staff needs to be implemented to improve awareness and
understanding, it is also important to have adequate and appropriate support, whilst recognising the
role of special schools and how they support inclusion and attaching expertise whilst working in
partnership with parents and professionals. Some of the greatest barriers associated with inclusion in
education are negative attitudes. As with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Children s Plan (2007) is another policy to have been put in place to ensure that the needs of all
children are met whilst in education fairly.
Strategies for special education inclusion should allow for special needs children to benefit from the
learning environment. Children with or without special needs succeed in an environment that enables
them to develop by being able to be to solve problems, as well as being able to express their feelings
as well as being socially adjusted however children with special needs are often negotiating the most
basic of these levels. They re learning to engage with other people, to be persistent and are opening
and closing many circles of communication with other children and adults. Children who have not got
any special needs may still be developing their abilities to be imaginative and creative. Inclusion
brings these groups together in beneficial ways.
Children with autistic spectrum disorder will find it difficult to interact with others, but are able to
communicate when they want something; they tend not to use any form of interaction to show people
things or to be sociable. It is important to remember that communication and interaction do not have
to involve the use of language and speech. Many children with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder are
delayed in their use of language and tend to shy away from using any

  • 2. Recital Review and Report The recital I attended was on Tuesday April 15, 2014 at 7:00pm located in the Recital Hall. This performance was a Diploma Recital for Hyejin Joo, who is a Performer of Piano. The pieces Ms. Joo performed were the Italian Concerto in F Major, BWV 971, Fantasiestücke, Op. 12, and the Suite bergamasque (1905). The first piece performed was the Italian Concerto in F Major, BWV 971 which was composed by Johann Sebastian Bach within the years 1685 1750. This piece has three individual movements, Allegro, Andante, and Presto. The names of the individual pieces translated to modern English are: brisk or rapid in tempo (cheerful), moderately slow and even, and quickly, rapidly; at a rapid tempo. The names of each individual movement describe how each part of the overall piece is to be played. Within the first movement, it was detectable when she played full scales; it was easier to notice after learning the G and F scales in class. The beginning was very fast, and although it was upbeat, it almost felt like a rushed sort of urgency within the first piece. Andante seemed to be a sad piece. As it was slow and evenly played, it had a melancholy feel to it. The underlying base clef kept a steady deep tone that despite when the treble notes picked up a bit, it kept it from becoming cheerful in the slightest. The third piece, presto, was very fast paced. There was a distinct difference between when she played piano p compared to when she played mezzo forte mf. I could also recognize ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Mexican Is Not A Noun, By Alarcon Francisco X. Alarcon received inspiration for his writing from his background as a Mexican American and the era of the sixties where the Black Arts Movement was at its height and Latin American poets were growing and learning from different poetic styles (Kirszner, Mandell, 2012). Furthermore, the inspiration for the poem Mexican Is Not a Noun was based on protest by cannery workers and students from UC Santa Cruz where fifty three of them were arrested on October 27, 1985. The key component of Mexican Is Not a Noun or the concrete word is Mexican which is a general word because it refers to an entire class or group. From the five lines of the sonnet Alarcon is making it clear that Mexicans are not referred to as nouns or adjective in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Pathos, Pros, And Cons And Uses Of The Hyundai Commercials One product most people use in their everyday lives are vehicles. I have chosen two commercials, one advertising the Honda Ridgeline and the other marketing the Hyundai Elantra. In the Honda commercial, a farmer tends to his sheep, that start singing as soon as the farmer drives away. The Hyundai commercial is very comical, showing a town where everyone is Ryan Reynolds to catch your attention. These commercials use pathos, ethos, and logos to sell their product. Advertisements use many forms of persuasion to get people to buy their product. One of these is pathos, which appeals to the emotions of the audience and evokes their feelings. In the Honda commercial, one can see sheep in the pasture singing to Somebody to Love after the farmer drives off in his new Honda Ridgeline. This is very humorous, considering sheep do not speak, let alone belt out notes from Queen. Not only are there singing sheep, but there is a talking dog towards the end of the commercial which tells those who are watching about the Honda Ridgeline ( Honda Ridgeline Super Bowl Commercial internet). This is similar to the Hyundai commercial, which is also very amusing. The audience can see two women driving through a neighborhood, where every person is Ryan Reynolds. This shows pathos, because it appeals to the viewers emotions by laughing at the comical commercial ( Ryanville Hyundai Super Bowl internet). Another form of persuasion commercials use is ethos, which appeals to one s ethics. In the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Psychoanalysis Of The Scarlet Letter Kyle Michka English 4 2nd 9/28/14 Psychoanalysis of The Scarlet Letter Sigmund Freud created the psychoanalytic theory of personality, of which there are three elements; the id, the ego and the superego. These elements all work in conjunction with each other to create complex human behaviors. Freud originally came up with the theory while he was performing dream work studies, since some elements exist in the unconscious realm, where the first element, the id, mostly presents itself. Freud describes the id as a dark, inaccessible part of our personality; a chaos, a cauldron full of seething excitations. The id knows no judgments of value; no good and evil, and no morality. The second element is the ego, which is primarily concerned with reality. The ego s task is to find a balance between the primitive drives of the id and the over morality of the Superego, which aims for perfection and regulates our sense of right and wrong, the opposite of the id. These elements exist in our conscious, preconscious and unconscious mind, sometimes overlapping into the different areas. Consciousness consists of things of which we are aware at any given moment. Preconsciousness consists of things we are not aware of but can easily become aware. For example, friend s names, old phone numbers, and memories are not usually in the consciousness, but can be brought up to the conscious level when called upon. Unconsciousness consists of those memories that have been consciously repressed and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Lessons Learned from A Very Old Man With Enormous Wings... Lessons Learned from A Very Old Man With Enormous Wings A Very Old Man With Enormous Wings is a short fiction story written by Gabriel Garcia Marquez in 1955. Magical realism plays a major part in this story by the use of fantasy of an old man being portrayed as an angel who has come to create miracles to a family along with many other believers. Some will believe, others will just shoo this so called angel away in a painful and heart breaking way. I enjoyed this story very much. I was able to get very interested. Marquez starts it out with On the third day of rain. That line right there is magical because angels are of God, and on the third day God s son rose from the grave. It was the third day that Pelayo came upon ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Just like in this story, many people were throwing leftover foods to him, coming to him just for a miracle, then having nothing more to do with him. They had only used him and did not see him for who he really was. What would seem to be humiliating to me and was to the angel, I assume, was that a priest, Father Gonzaga, sent away to Rome for a judgment on what they should do. A human with wings was foreign to these people. Some did not believe because an angel is appeared to be beautiful. This old man was just your average Joe with wings to many people. However, some had paid money to see this supernatural creature. What was magical at this point was when Marquez talks about the woman who disobeyed her parents and was changed into a spider. How magical can this be? A woman, who is a spider the size of a ram! The angel and this woman were the main attractions of the town. The realistic element here is obvious. For instance, in the town of Ironton, when someone goes to use the bathroom everyone knows about it. Similarly, it did not take long for this town to hear the news. Anyway, the woman spider ended up getting more attention because her story was of the truth to the town and the angel was only of mocking fun. Anyhow, people had paid so much money that Pelayo and his family became rich. They built a mansion. Their child played with the angel. The angel and their son both came down with the chicken pox at the same time. An angel ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Sternberg s Triangular Theory Of Commuality And... Commitment has proven to be an integral component within most lasting relationships. Many scholars have worked to uncover the reasoning behind what leads to increased commitment and relationship longevity. Of course, with each romantic relationship, the reasons for why an individual or a couple remains together can vary, leading to a wide variety of theories to be established to explain the components of commitment. Theories include a focus on the investment theory of commitment, perceived relationship satisfaction, relationship alternatives, and the rewards and costs of a relationship in correlation to motivators behind commitment. The primary goal of this paper is to examine the complexities of commitment in relation to the aforementioned theories for promoting relationship longevity. In order to best understand the role of commitment within already established romantic relationships, it s necessary to look at the various theories concerning topics of commitment. First and foremost, the work of Lemieux and Hale analyze Sternberg s Triangular Theory of Love, which serves as a strong foundation for understanding the role of commitment within a romantic relationship. The aforementioned theory states that love is composed of three parts: intimacy, passion, and commitment. According to the studies pertaining to this theory, each of the three components change in prevalence throughout the course of a relationship. Lemieux and Hale have found that there are varying correlations ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 9. Summary Of The Great Storytellingki-Tikki Tavi The Great Rikki tikki tavi Bravery has many characters and one mammal has them all. Rikki tikki tavi fought single handed, through the bathrooms of the big bungalow in Segowlee cantonment. Darzee, the tailor bird, helped him, and Chuchundra, the muskrat, who never comes out into the middle of the floor but always creeps round by the wall, gave him advice; but Rikki tikki did the real fighting. He was a mongoose, rather like a little cat in his fur and his tail but quite like a weasel in his head and his habits. His eyes and the end of his restless nose were pink; he could scratch himself anywhere he pleased with any leg, front or back, that he chose to use; he could fluff up his tail till it looked like a bottle. One day, a high summer flood washed him out of the burrow where he lived with his father and mother and carried him, kicking and clucking, down a roadside ditch. He found a little wisp of grass floating there and clung to it till he lost his senses. When he revived, he was lying in the hot sun in the middle of a garden path, very draggled indeed, and a small boy was saying: Here s a dead mongoose. Let s have a funeral. No, said his mother; let s take him in and dry him. Perhaps he isn t really dead. (Kipling 143) The book by Rudyard Kipling and the movie Rikki tikki tavi is about a mongoose named Rikki tikki tavi. This mammal is one of the great fighters of the dreaded cobras, and in this story, the Rulers of the garden. The book ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Paramount, a global market leader in the consumer non disposable razor industry is planning to launch a new product into the market by the name of Clean Edge. Clean Edge is an innovative, premium priced, new razor whose goal is to increase Paramount s market share, sales and inevitably profit. As a company, Paramount has a strong history in the industry, entering the market back in 1962 and growing to a $13 billion company in 2009. Paramount specializes in disposable razors, cartridges, shaving cream and depilatories and currently has two razor products already on the market, Pro and Avail. With the launch of Clean Edge, management experiences conflicting ideas; Paramount is unsure of how to best position Clean Edge within the growing market, considering the competition launched a similar product right before the Clean Edge launch. The company is torn between two primary options, a niche position, targeting a small market with a premium razor versus a mainstream position, targeting a broader market by presenting an innovative product. After analyzing marketing budgets, market share, operating profit, branding strategy and allocations for 2008 and 2009, it is concluded that Paramount should engage in a niche position, which as per Appendix C will generate the higher profit of $31.37 compared to the $2.84 in profit generated by a mainstream position. • 11. The Governmental Branches Of The United States Essay Three governmental branches were created by the new constitution: an executive branch, a judicial branch and a legislative branch. The constitution called for the election of a governor and 24 senators and identified eligible voters as men who were possessed of freeholds of the value of one hundred pounds, over and above all debts charged thereon. The constitution also called for the election of 70 assemblymen for 14 declared counties who were to be elected by male inhabitant of full age, who shall have personally resided within one of the counties of New York State for six months immediately preceding the day of election. New York also guaranteed the right to trial by jury, which had been eroded under British rule. The Constitution granted the national government more power than under the Articles of Confederation. Many Americans were concerned that the national government with its new powers, as well as the new division of power between the central and state governments, would threaten liberty. Legislative Branch New York State Legislature refers to the two houses that act as the state legislature of the U.S. state of New York. The New York Constitution does not designate an official term for the two houses together. It says only that legislative power is vested in the senate and assembly. The Legislature, through its varied functions, serves as a check upon the executive authority of the Governor and helps ensure that the best interests of the State s citizens are ... However, There Is One Issue Regarding To The Downsized However, there is one issue regarding to the downsized engines.Porsche s Engine Downsizing There are more than one billion cars around the world up to date and this number is increasing rapidly because of the demand for them. Most of the cars in the world have big engines right now. Big engines are made of eight cylinder (V8), ten cylinder (V10), or twelve cylinder (V12 / W12). Those types of engines have been used for many years in the car industry. Most of the car manufacturers prefer to use those engines because their customers like them and thinking that more cylinder means more power. For many years, those car manufacturers have not realized one thing that big engines emission rates are actually really important for the environment ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... After introducing the Cayenne, they also started to produce four door coupe alike sedan called Panamera with the same engine options in 2011. Porsche mostly used their V8 engines in their four door cars until 2014, but after that year they started to downsize their engines because of the new emission rules that their government released. By those new reduced emission regulations, Porsche become one of the first sports car manufacturers that started to downsize their engines. Downsizing the engine is pretty simple. They are actually taking 4.8 liter, eight cylinder V8 engine and changing it with the 3.6 liter, six cylinder V6 engine. When they are downsizing the engine, they are also adding that engine a turbocharger to make it much powerful as the bigger engine. (Turbocharger is helping the engine to get more air to the pistons to increase its performance) Most of the Porsche customers thought bigger engines are stronger and it makes the car go faster, but actually it is not true because when they add turbochargers to the new downsized engine, it makes the car much powerful as the old models. Another thing about the downsizing the engine is the fact that, when the manufacturer makes the engine smaller, they are actually making the car lighter too and that lighter car goes faster on the road than the previous models because it has ... Stereotypes are found in the media every day and affect our opinion as well as how we perceive others. Stereotypes of the GLBT community in the media are most commonly found in movies or in TV shows but they rarely talk about their sexual identity. When their identity is being portrayed, it is shown with some form of stereotype. These very stereotypes have influenced all of our views on LGBT men and women. Stereotypes are damaging ideas about how a group of people are supposed to behave and act. It dehumanizes them by lumping them into broad categories it takes away their traits that makes them unique and it does not define their personality and turns them into a form of objects. The idea that the male homosexual is directly linked to feminism is inaccurate. While there are some males who express themselves in behaviors that are considered to be feminine, there are others who do not. Gay men are displayed to seem interested in fashion, are meticulous, and are emotional but in reality not all men display these characteristics. This stereotype damages gay males in the extent that they are playing a role in which gay men are hiding their uniqueness as individual human beings because of the formation of these stereotypes. Sexual behavior and desire varies from person to person and like all humans, gay people also have sexual needs. The stereotype of them having sex with multiple partners also increases the generalization that all gay people may have AIDS or HIV. According to US statistics, gay people of all races are in fact the most severely affected with HIV but the misconception that they all have AIDS or HIV is wrong. • 15. The Shawchek Redemption And The Shawshank Redemption The Shawshank Redemption (1994) was directed and written by Frank Darabont. It is an adaptation of the novella Rita Hayworth and The Shawshank Redemption, written by Stephen King. The film received a lot of critical acclaim and was nominated for the 1994 Best Picture Academy Award. Many of King s literary works had been adapted to screen prior to the release of The Shawshank Redemption. Films including Stand By Me (1986) and The Shining (1980) establish King s name in the cinematic world. This notoriety would have been beneficial to the film as the director, Frank Darabont, had only ever directed a short film before, which was coincidentally also an adaptation of Stephen King s The Woman In The Room. Fidelity can be difficult to accomplish when adapting written text to the screen as there are a different set of rules and limitations. Where a novel may have hundreds of pages, a film only has a few hours to convey the same message and meaning to the audience. A film must show the events whereas a written text can tell the reader what occurred. In the novella, Red is introduced before Andy. The entire story is from his point of view. As the narrator of the novella, Red feels that before he can talk about Andy he has to explain a few other things about [him]self (2012, p.4). • 18. The Effect Of Strain Gauge Rosette Used For Multi Channel... Abstract While calculating the results from the collected data, the thin plate shows non linear behaviour such that stress does not vary linearly with strain. In theory when pressure is concentrated at the centre of a circular plate, stress value decreases with respect to increasing radial distance from the centre. However in this case, we see that there are two principal stresses and they behave differently than one another. This experiment will introduce us to a new strain gauge called strain gauge rosette used for multi channel strain measurement and other equations to calculate principal stresses and strains in a two dimensional state. Introduction For a thin circular plate, stress and strain usually occur in a two dimensional state. As it is difficult to measure stress, strains are instead measured in real life practices and its corresponding stress values are calculated. The most popular measuring tool for strain is the strain gauge. Since strain is the measure of change in displacement over the original dimension of a structure, the measuring tool must be sensitive enough to detect that small change in displacement. Thus, we can learn how to handle sensitive measuring equipment and ways to ensure that the data collected is as accurate as possible and also to omit any errors that will affect the final calculation. Besides that, we can broaden our knowledge on multi channel strain measurements because in reality two dimensional strains are not ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Along with Mozart s obviously notable works, his sacred music was also exceptionally popular at the time, as he adopted and further adapted the sacred writing styles of composers before him. It is said that his father helped him write compositions at the beginning, and by 1767 they had an extensive list of keyboard works. Mozart at just twelve years old wrote his first full opera La Finte Simplice, and had it premiered in Vienna. After the operas s success in Vienna, Salzburg s archbishop wanted to showcase the native Austrian and scheduled a performance of La Finte Simplice in 1769. Since this work is an opera buffa, special performers were brought in to correctly portray the roles and style as Mozart wanted them to be. If organizations are to thrive and be sustaining, they need to respond to the dynamics of their environment with change. However, change is not a singular event with an isolated focus (Spector, 2007). Effective strategic renewal is a combination of the three faces of change turnaround, which targets costs; technology, which targets internal process; and behavioral, which targets employee actions and interactions (Spector, 2007). In a discussion on change management, particularly management by control versus management by shaping, Palmer, et al. (2009) draw a similar conclusion that organizations and human systems are complex and evolving and therefore cannot be reduced to a single, linear objective of maximizing shareholder value (p. 50). Forces for Change Despite some variations in change approach labels among academic research, it seems generally accepted that forces for change are the catalyst for change itself. Gibson, et al. (2009) classified forces for change into two groups; environmental and internal, and further described environmental forces as those generally beyond management s control and internal forces generally within management s control. These forces for change trigger an intervention or change process that can take any of three approaches: structural, behavioral, or technological (Gibson, et al. 2009). Hypertension And Vitamin D Supplementation Hypertension and vitamin D supplementation Cardiovascular disease is the most common cause of worldwide mortality and morbidity and accounted 30% of deaths around the world in 2003 (Vacek et al., 2011). Hypertension is a worldwide epidemic that has a strong association with age and life patterns (Wuerzner, Burnier Waeber, 2012). Hypertension has been considered as a major risk factor of myocardial infarction, stroke, heart failure, peripheral vascular disease, chronic kidney disease, mental health issues and early death (Vacek et al., 2011; Wuerzner, Burnier Waeber, 2012). If the systolic pressure reaches to 140mm Hg or higher and diastolic pressure climbs up to 90 mm Hg, this condition can be termed as hypertension (Torpy, Lymn Glass, 2010, p. 2098). Evidence suggests that vitamin D insufficiency is associated with hypertension and cardiovascular disease (Vacek et al., 2011). To treat hypertension, international guidelines recommend use of pharmaceutical agents which not only reduce blood pressure but also decrease the risk of CAD, stroke, heart failure and pre mature death (Wuerzner, Burnier Waeber, 2012). Vitamin D is an important element of bone mineralization and homeostasis however, the role of vitamin D in treating hypertension is unknown (Geleijnse, 2011). Integrated Services Digital Network ( Isdn ) Before we get into the discussion, let s briefly introduce some of the technologies used in WANs and the different characteristics of each one: Point to point links A so called point to point link (Fig. 2.0) provides a pre established WAN communication path from the user s location trough a telephone company s network, also known as the carrier. For this kind of line, the carrier dedicates pairs of wire and hardware to that line only. This kind of circuits are priced depending on bandwidth needed and distance to be covered. (Figure 2.0 Point to point link) Circuit Switching Work like a normal telephone line. Data connections can be started when needed and terminated when the communication is over. An example of circuit switching is called Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN). When a router receives data that s intended to go to a specific remote site, the switched circuit (Fig. 2.1) is initiated with a specific circuit number for that particular network. As soon the two networks that are trying to connect get the authentication done, it is possible to transfer data. When data transmission is over, the communication gets terminated.
