RBMK is one of the two types of the reactors that the Soviets built for the manufacture of nuclear
power. It was developed by the soviets from models that were from the before that was used to
generate nuclear weapons. It also produced hear for district heating.

The movie Boyz N the Hood is an illustration of how a group of early adolescents lives was
affected negatively due to the environment they lived in. These adolescents lived in an
environment where drugs, gangs, and shootings were the center of their community. Living in a
predominantly African American community these adolescents were faced with many
misfortunes. Ricky one of the adolescent characters I have decided to evaluate for this
particular paper was faced with adversity. Ricky as a character displayed the effects of
understanding the traumatic human development and normal human development. Traumatic
human development is when one is open to danger and violence. One can be open to traumatic
development directly or indirectly on a centered foundation. Ricky environment exposed him
negativity. A majority of the negativity that Ricky is exposed to is gun violence, gangs, drugs
and other negativity as well. Due to his environment being looked down upon and him being an
African American male from a certain area of Los Angeles town he was viewed upon negatively
by society. For instance, a scene from the movie dictates Tre and Ricky is pulled over by cops.
The cops, one African American the main cop posed Tre and Ricky as a threat to society. Being
harassed by the cop made Tre and Ricky feel as though they had no place in of belonging in that

The Collection That I Am A Building Essay
The collection that I am going to be building will be focusing on children s books that feature
racially diverse main characters and or themes. The focus of this collection proposal is to bring
books with diverse characters onto the shelves and make them easily accessible and visible to
young children and families. I was provided with an allocated 5,000 dollars Canadian to spend
on this special collection. My initial goal was to select books with people of colour as the main
characters exclusively. The issue with this plan is there are lots of books about African Canadian
children but not very many about Indigenous children. Due to this, I expanded my search criteria
to include books featuring diverse characters where there were also people of colour featured as
secondary characters. By expanding my search, I was able to feature more racially diverse
characters. The first step in my selectionprocess was searchingonline for lists of books published
by organizations, schools and blogs that featured racially diverse main characters. I used
Amazon extensively once I had found titles of interest. Amazon provided me with the ISBN
numbers to search as specifically as possible and offered similar title suggestions. I cross
referenced the titles through the Halifax Public Libraries Discover Catalog to see if they were

but, it would have been a more convincing argument if the author had used some logos, instead of

In the last two decades, palm oil has been one of the most imported goods around the world. In
fact, the top industries are located in Sumatra, Indonesia, holding up to 90% of the world s

I chose as my subject University of Cincinnati, the dining halls, the workers there, their personal
communities, the interactions between the workers and the students. and lastly, I am interested in
the workers that cross the bridge between worker and student and take advantage of the free
classes. At first I was interested mostly in the interactions between students and workers. Every
time i walk into a UC dining hall I am struck by the sense of community among the workers. Its
so full of energy I always want to be apart of it. By observation I want to betterunderstand what its
like to belong to this specific community. Like all discourse communities, there is a common
vernacular or dialogue, that I would like to understand a little more clearly. I want to learn more
about it, and understand better the work life balance of this commune of labourers. And how
UC helps to better the environment. Does UC take steps to make the environment comfortable
and enjoyable, and do the employees enjoy their job? Because what the workers get out of their
jobs directly affects the community in and around UC and Cincinnati at large. I learned more
about the jobs and the university s role in these peoples lives. I would like to see how the

For example, if the tax rate is seven percent and one person makes one thousand dollars they would
pay seventy dollars to the government. While someone that only made one hundred dollars would

The common ground the two parties would meet on would be a flat tax. So, any household that
is classified as on or below the poverty line will not be taxed whatsoever. Then the tax amount
for everyone else would be chosen based off of the governments projected spending amount for
that year, and incorporating the idea of reducing the deficit. It would take a lot of work to get
implemented, not only would the idea have to be adopted by both parties, it would have to be
supported by two of the three branches of government. The bill would begin in the House of
Representatives, after being passed there it would move to a vote with the Senate. If the bill
continues to be passed it will move to the executive branch where it can either be signed of
vetoed by the president, although a veto can be overridden with a two thirds vote from Congress.
Once it is passed the existing tax code would have to be completely thrown out and the flat tax
implemented. But this is not simply a month long process, the timeline for a flat tax to be

Even in today s society, jokes about the repercussions of educating women find their way into the
popular culture, though they are generally very tongue in cheek. For example, in Pitch Perfect 2, a

The first week of this class was a challenge because I was not prepared with a project. I felt I had
plenty of time before I had to come up with a project or plan for this class but all too soon I was
enrolled and the class had begun. After looking at a few possible projects and subjects for a thirty
page thesis I decided on going through the Certified Ethical Hacking program on Pluralsight.com.
Over the past fourteen weeks I watched the lectures on Pluralsight.com, took quizzes on
skillset.com, read chapters and took chapter review tests in the Certified Ethical Hacker version 9
book by Sean Philip Oriyano. I watched approximately sixty one hours of lectures, spent several
hours taking assesments and quizzes on skillset.com and spent somewhere in the neighborhood of
thirty five hours reading and taking chapter review tests in the CEH version 9 book.
A Certified Ethical Hacker must understand and know how to test for vulnerabilities and
weaknesses in systems. This is done using the same knowledge and tools as a malicious hacker
but in a legal manner to assess the security and preparedness of a target system. The CEH
credential certifies individuals in the discipline of Ethical Hacking from a vendor neutral
perspective. The first week of class I had to agree to the Certified Ethical Hacker Rules and submit

(ADD HOOK) the Republic of Gilead dehumanizes its citizens by allowing officials to abuse
their power while in their roles. This leads to destroying the order in society. To begin, the
Republic of Gilead was formed after the president of the United States was assassinated; It was
after the catastrophe, when they shot the President and machine gunned the Congress and the

Throughout this novel, Atwood is a prime example of this. This novel widely speaks upon
women s rights issues and problems within their society; this therefore shows the
dehumanization of citizens. This is shown when the constitution had been abolished and the
president had been shot. All the female workers are replaced by a male counterpart. This is
shown when she says; When I got to the corner store, the usual woman wasn t there. Instead it
was a man... (Atwood, 202). As Offred continues her recounting of this event she explains that
when her credit card was not working. She then, continues to recount these events and says that
calls her work and nobody answers. Her boss later explains that it is the law that he must fire all
female workers: I have to let you go, he said. It s the law, I have to. I have to let you all go. He said
this almost gently as if we were wild animals, frogs he d caught in a jar, as if he were being
humane.... Not fired, he said. Let go (Atwood, 203 204). In the novel firing the female workers
becomes a must and by doing this the government dehumanizes the women in the Republic of
Gilead it is inhumane and misogynistic. This contributes to the destruction of society because,

relation to men. Everything a woman does is for a man, if a woman is taking care of a

Offred is only valued for her fertility and her ability to have children. This can lead to the
