Globe Theatre Research Paper
Many different sounds drift from the doors of the Globe Theatre. Passionate love songs, clashing
battles, and heartfelt speeches all have their places in Shakespeare s Globe Theatre. Although most
remember him for his writings, Shakespeare himself worked as an actor at the Globe. The theatre
has survived much, still bringing us Shakespeare s brilliance today. While the theatre itself has
changed, many of the plays performed there remain identical to Shakespeare s originals. And it can
still be visited and much can be learned from the history and literature found within its walls.
Shakespeare had a special position at the Globe Theatre, the theatre survived much in its history,
and still brings us Shakespeare s plays and others today.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After visiting London in 1949, Sam Wanamaker decided to begin the project of rebuilding the
Globe Theatre once more. Sam established the Shakespeare Globe Trust, which he used as his
means of gathering funding for the next 23 years, when the land was secured and the first pieces
of timber laid. Sam died December 18, 1993, 4 years before the Queen opened the theatre for the
first time. Today the Globe Theatre provides plays of many sorts, and even lectures and talks
about various topics ranging from specific aspects of Shakespeare s life to who is addressed in
certain sonnets. The Globe Theatre today presents many aspects of theatre life, some the same as
the original Globe, and some

Relationship Between Henson And Peary
Matthew Henson and Robert Peary had a strong relationship. They both had a need for
exploration, fame, and danger, and Henson s need is one of the reasons he started traveling with
Peary. The two men met when Henson was working at a clothing and hat store, when Peary
walked in and offered him a job. This job was to be his personal servant while he was on an
expedition in Nicaragua. Peary was going to head an engineering team to see about the possibility
of digging a canal across Nicaragua. Henson later wrote that he saw qualities in Peary that made
him want to participate in his services. After that expedition, Peary approached Henson with an
idea. He wanted to raise money to go to the arctic and wanted Henson to go with him. On their

Theme Of Archetypes In Brave New World
In order to understand the overarching message of Brave New World, Huxley uses a variety of
elements such as Archetypes, Allusions, and the conflict of man vs society in which help highlight
the novel.
John the savage, the protagonist from Bernard is introduced near the mid point of the novel. He
is categorized between two specific archetypes, which are the seeker and the outsider. Being born
into this society he is never given a chance to escape from reservation. When talking about the
seeker, throughout the entire novel John is trying to find a place where he fits in, and belongs.
Bernard was his chance in doing so. With Johns state of mind he realizes that he will never fit in
to the so called civilized world of state. After being ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This specific pill alludes with the pill Soma which is used tremendously throughout Brave New
World used to escape from unhappiness or displeasure. Society in the novel is taught to take
Soma whenever they are feeling anything other than happy. Lenina mentions to Bernard in his
times of stress .... why don t you take some Soma when you have these dreadful ideas of yours.
You d forget all about them. And instead of feeling miserable, you d be jolly. So jolly (Huxley
125). The purpose of this drug is to cure depression while Carisopodol is used as a muscle relaxer.
The symptoms of Soma are little to none after consumed. In comparison to Carisopodol which may
cause fainting, blurred vision, insomnia, and nausea. The idea between the two drugs is in fact that
they both cure pain but for two totally different

Factors Influencing The International Expansion Of...
As discussed earlier, research on the internationalisation of Nigerian firm s is still under explored
and scant in the literature. In fact, few studies have research internationalisation phenomenon have
studied it on the perspective of the banking sector (Amungo in Adeleye, White, Boso, 2016, pp. 69
91), examining the factors influencing the international expansion of Nigerian banks finds that
Nigerian banks internationalisation is influenced by home country regulations and the domestic
competitive pressure, managerial intentionality and risk diversification. Similarly, Boojihawon and
Acholonu (2013) on the study of the internationalisation of African banks shows that the
consolidation and recapitalization program in the banking sector 2004 motives Nigerian banks
embark on foreign expansion. This is an indication that SSA firms deserves a focus in the
international business research, because of the region diversity in terms of resources, political
systems, cultural diversity and economic structures (Initiative for Global Development and Dalberg
Global Development, 2011).
As a result this study focus is on the motivation and patterns of Nigerian firm s internationalisation.
The open economic policies adopted in Nigeria in the early 2000,s created an opportunity for the
Nigerian firms to emerge as large domestic firms to embark and become a regional player. This
also strengthened the firms abilities to expand their operations beyond Nigeria, especially in the

Enlightenment And Romantic Ideologies In Classical Music
These two pieces of classical music reflect their respective ideologies of the time very
successfully. The Enlightenment and Romantic ideologies are very different on an artistic level,
and with Mozart and Mendelssohn s music pieces we can see how the two ideologies stand up
against one another. In Mozart s Harpsichord Concerto, we see a reflection of the Enlightenment
era s infatuation with sharp and straight to the point thinking. Mozart s piece is meant to be
played very quickly, and the enlightenment valued being able to play a piece very technically,
requiring fast and nimble fingers. Mozart s piece is very orderly, with the all of the notes staying
very consistently short and quick. There are no drawn out sections of Mozart s piece, and we can
see that this is because of the Enlightenment s values to display more technical skill instead of
playing out longer and more emotionally.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
1 is drawn out and played in the key of G minor, emphasizing the emotion conveyed in the piece.
The Romantic period focussed more on emotion, intuition, and nature, which is very similar to
the entire tone of the Mendelssohn s piece. The piece has a wide variety of notes, with many
being short while others are long drawn out. These longer notes evoke more emotion to the
listener because hanging onto minor notes just evokes more sadness towards us. In addition, this
makes the piece very dramatic, with goes into the theme of deep caring for emotion. The
Romantic period always preferred more chaos or disorder than control. Therefore, it makes sense
how this piece almost has a sense of chaos, with at some points seemingly being all over the

Collapse, By Jared Diamond
COLLAPSE by Jared Diamond attempts to answer the question, What caused some of the great
civilizations of the past to collapse into ruin, and what can we learn from their fates?
This book is divided into four main sections, and I ll be talking about the most important sections
and the most important chapters in it.
The first section starts off with Diamond going in to the present in the United States. He starts off
with the Bitterroot Valley of Montana. While it seems untouched, with endless splendor, looks are
deceiving. Diamond shows Montana as the model of our times: healthy on the surface, but at the
moment terminally ill below. As he writes on page 32:

Covering up to 500,000 square miles, these were extremely fertile lands, watered by the Tigris and
Euphrates rivers. Long, long ago, the area was so populated and so prosperous that it has been
nicknamed the Cradle of Civilization. But it collapsed. Due to thousands of years of irrigation,
subsequent salination, and displacement of forest with agriculture; the area now is the cradle of
misery and hostility. It is now part of the deserts and arid lands of Israel, Lebanon, Jordon, Syria,
Iraq, and southeastern Turkey.
Twilight at Easter is similar to the Fertile Crescent. One reason Diamond selected this island is
because, it proves to be the closest approximation that we have to an ecological disaster unfolding
in complete isolation. This, is an important aspect for researchers because it means that outside
factors, which so often make the difference, were not influential in the demise. The reasons for
collapse could only come from within the isolated system of Easter Island.
I found this chapter absolutely fascinating. For me the real insights were the role of the political
system in the building of the giant stone statues that became Easter Island s biggest mystery when it
was discovered in 1722. There were hundreds of erect statues with no one there. Who built them?
As Diamond explains, it was the dozen clans that controlled the island who built them. The clans
competed peacefully by seeking to outdo each other in building

A Scandal In Belgravia Essay
This essay will be discussing representation, with reference and key examples from Sherlock, by
closely analysing the episode, A Scandal in Belgravia, by exploring the technical elements such as;
framing, focus, lighting, editing, soundtrack, costume and set detail, to help understand the
relationship between Irene Adlerand Sherlock Holmes, and how power comes to play.
The first encounter between Irene and Sherlock is first seen in the scene of the Buckingham
Palace, 18 minutes into the episode. In this moment, we see Sherlock been given a photographic
image or Irene, and is asked to identify the women. Here, she is described as the woman , an
unconventional character who possess great mystery and seductive darkness to her physical
appearance ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The focus is on Irene Adler, her naked body with white question marks placed beside her head,
and then jump cut to Dr. Watson, who has specific labels placed on his describing himself
according to Sherlock ( ). In this scene, we begin to see Sherlock s weakness, which is Irene,
because he could not figure her out based on physical appearance. The choice of no pieces of
clothing placed a significant part in this discovery. Without the secret, specific intimate details
provided by the clothing, Sherlock was unable to draw inspiration from Irene. Then at 26:24, we
see Sherlock hand over his black, signature coat for Irene to cover her naked body with. She sits
down and begins to engage in a conversation with Sherlock and Holmes. From 26:20 till 26:56,
the audience see firsthand that Irene is more than a sexual object, but a woman of intellect and
mystery. Revealing information about the unreleased murder case, both men are surprised and
amazed by her capabilities of finding information. In this, she is quoted saying that, I know one
of the policeman, well I know what he likes , and then continuing to say, I like detective stories,
and detectives. Brain is the new sexy. ( ). Irene, from reading this, is a woman who knows what
she wants, how to get it and is very persuasive when doing so. Irene wearing the black coat, made
famous by Sherlock, symbolizes that Irene, in that moment, holding the brains in the room. She is
commanding attention for brain, through her wits and charms, but proves to the men that she is
just as capable of holding an intellectual conversation about detective discoveries and work at hand
throughout the episode. This plays hand in hand with the genre of the episode which is a detective
show. Now, with her having a conversation with the two men, it also blends in smoothly with the
idea that women can also command a strong role amongst men. And

To follow a life of success, happiness, and fulfillment will always begin by observing ourselves,
from finding inner peace, figuring out your purpose, and pursuing it through hard work with the
passion to commit in to our goal that will shape up our life. Without persistence and hard work it
is impossible to succeed. A life without direction could lead to a path of uncertainty and without
contentment. Also a life without inner peace is a life without true happiness. To follow a life of

Have you ever felt that as you become developed and enlightened as your life progress you still felt
that something is missing? As for what Guy Montag felt from Ray Bradbury s novel Fahrenheit 451
, having a complete life and a honorable profession as a fireman (burns books), he felt that there
is something missing in his life, it is the books that his society wanted to be burned out, he
finally found his true purpose, it is to memorize the books he have read to rewrite it in to their
future for the good of humanity along with other book people. Learning that we must have a
purpose that we need to realize it and achieve it. Our true purpose is to follow what we want to
do, not to try to fit in other s mask but to only wear our own; it is to find out our own dream and
goals to start our own journey towards success, happiness, and fulfillment in life. Once we figure
out what we really want to do, we find ourselves to feel that we are going to the right direction
and know that once we get to our destination we will be satisfied in life with clarity. To be
contented in life we must discover what we really desired to do, it is also essential to find our
happiness. Living the life today has always been difficult as for waking up early in the morning to
go to work or school, arguments with a stranger or sibling, or just personal concerns. Having this

Identifying Substances Lab Report
Identifying Substances Using Properties Purpose: To identify unknown substances by observing
their physical and chemical properties (e.g. colour, state, clarity, crystal shape, behaviour in water,
behaviour in acid), and comparing them to the physical and chemical properties of known
substances. Hypothesis: I predict that by observing and testing the properties, as well as comparing
them to those of known substances, we can identify all 5 of the unknown substances. I think this
will happen because every substance has a physical and/or chemical property or properties that
differentiates it from other substances, no matter how similar. For example, baking powder and
baking soda. These two substances are similar physically white, powdery,... Show more content on

I almost mistook the sodium nitrate for salt because they also have similar chemical and
physical traits they are both solid, white, clear, soluble in water, and dissolves in acid. However
the sodium nitrate has crystal shape which is granular, and that is different from salt s crystal
form, which is cubic. That is how I confirmed that sample C was sodium nitrate. Sample D was
identified as sodium thiosulphate because of a chemical property its reaction to acid. When the
two drops of hydrochloric acid was added, the sodium nitrate turned cloudy and yellow, which is
a distinct trait of sodium thiosulphate. I did not mistake this substance for any other substance
because its reaction with acid is what confirmed that it was sodium thiosulphate. Sample E was
identified as chalk because of its behaviour in water, also known as its solubility. After the two
drops of water were added to the chalk, and it was mixed, with a clean toothpick we saw that
sample E did not mix with the water. Chalk is the only solid, out of the five, that is insoluble. I
almost mistook sample E for baking soda because the two substances have very similar physical
traits. Both substances are white, solid, opaque and a powder. However, chalk s reaction to water
and acid is different from baking soda. The chalk is insoluble with water, and its reaction with acid
is that it fizzes and some dissolves. Meanwhile, baking soda is soluble with water, and

Comparing Matrix And Rene Descartes

The Matrix and Rene Descartes
Throughout this essay, I am going to break down and philosophically evaluate The Matrix. While
doing so, I am going to identify parts of skepticism and the mind body problems that can be
detected while watching this science fiction action film. This film has proposed many questions
that have been philosophized by Rene Descartes and Plato; I will use these ideas that they have
offered to understand how Neo discovers reality and the relationship of living or life through virtual
reality.
At the beginning of, The Matrix, Neo seems to be flustered, and he questions his reality on multiple
occasions. The events that play out within the first few minutes and they make him wonder if he
is in a dream or he is truly experiencing what is going on in his apartment. He received a message
across the computes that read, The Matrix has you he then receives another message following a
perfectly timed knock at the door. There s a group of people who are waiting outside of his
apartment, and he had a brief conversation with them and began to ask, You ever have that feeling

The belief that things are real through sense is invalid, and he discovered he could not use them
to discern what is real or not. That was because the senses are electrical signal interpreted by the
brain. Descartes realized that sense could not be used to confirm the reasoning of what is real
because, the senses often impede the mind in many operations, and in no case do they help in the
perception of ideas. Descartes had very vivid and realistic dreams which lead him to study his
own dreams. He first believed that his dreams were messages from God and that it would give him
purpose. Late in his life he decided to investigate the dream he had to understand

Cage Free Egg Free Eggs
The article from Huffington Post with the heading McDonald s Plans To Switch To Cage Free
Eggs mentions the announcement of McDonald s plan on cage free eggs. McDonald s plans to
complete the transition to cage free eggs in the U.S. and Canada by 2025.1 The article not only
brings cage free eggs into concern, but also raises heated discussion about whether hens should
be bred in the cage free system or in the conventional way. In this essay, I will argue that it is a
right choice to switch to the cage free system in terms of the animal welfare. Besides, I will
suggest that the cage free system should be encouraged because eggs laid by hens raised in such
system embraces better nutrition. Encouragement of cage free eggs is a bold move, but it is worth
carrying out. In terms of the animal welfare, the cage free system treats hens in a more humane
manner and ensures them a life with more freedom. An overwhelming majority of hens are
limited in the conventional cages, where they each can share only 67 square inches of the cage
space.2 67 square inches cannot even compare with a piece of letter size paper which takes up
about 93.5 square inches. Such tiny space is not enough for hens to spread their wings, let alone
make nests or perch. The conventional system shows a lack of certain humanity. Unlike the
conventional system, the cage free system provides more spacious room for hens, where they are
able to walk around within a certain range, to spread their

Commentary On Still Alice By Lisa Genova
Genova, Lisa. (2015) Still Alice, Simon Schuster Ltd: London
After gaining a PhD in Neuroscience at Harvard University, Lisa Genova wrote numerous novels
themed around her speciality of mental health. Her best selling novel, Still Alice , is written from
the perspective of Alice, a successful 50 year old woman with the seemingly perfect life .
However, the struggle of accepting a diagnosis of Early Onset Alzheimer s Disease, whilst fearing
the stigmatic effect of its label, causes Alice to question her identity and purpose in life. The title of
the book graphically illustrates how, despite being the same person, the identity of someone with
Alzheimer s Disease can be forgotten.
After watching dementia turn her vibrant and intelligent grandmother into someone who neither
recognised herself nor her life, Genova was inspired to write Still Alice . The narrative unfolds

Still Alice illustrates the social work dilemma of care versus control and how those in mental
distress struggle to access their rights of choice and participation in decisions. Within mental health,
lack of inclusion usually occurs because the individual is deemed incapable or their choices are
considered poor and pose risk of harm. The author cleverly demonstrates that the mental health
label is enough for Alice to feel compelled to justify her motives to others. Alice s mental health is
predominantly intact and she is able to articulate her wishes, yet Alice has to argue her case and
persuade her doctor that it is safe to prescribe medication. In addition, John, Alice s husband,
assumes that sticking to Alice s preferences is in her best interests. When John contradicts Alice s
request for coffee by stating she ll have tea with lemon , his action undermines Alice s

Elements Of Characters In Prisoners, Sicario And Arrival
Dramas are films with realistic plots, settings, characters, and situations. Dramas tend to be driven
and somewhat dependent on powerful actor portrayals and good direction, rather than CGI effects
or action. Dramas tend to include characters that are complex and well developed throughout their
films. But perhaps one of the most key elements in dramas are the themes of intense and real
struggle centered around the human condition. These themes can be expressed overtly through the
plot and story or symbolically through several different film elements. Denis Villeneuve is a
director whose all but mastered the art of creating dramatic films, consistently making films that
become exemplary models for what dramafilms should evoke in an audience. His three films
Prisoners, Sicario, and Arrival do not fall outside of this classification. Each of these are unique in
their own respect, yet Denis Villeneuve uses several different thematic elements, particularly color,
in all three to craft complex symbols and commentary that reside deep in the recesses of each film s
narrative.
The first film, Prisoners, is about two regular, All American families whose lives are flipped upside
down when the daughters of each family goes missing. Most of the film centers around the
investigation and how members of each family cope with their situation. The basic plot of Prisoners
isn t very original nor unique to be quite honest, however it s unique use of lighting,
cinematography and profound

Abstract: As humans advanced in technology, manmade and natural disasters are increasing
exponentially. One of the most dangerous is the forest fire. Forest fire destroys trees which give
us oxygen and it is very difficult to stop a forest fire spreading if it is not detected early. Our
method is to detect the forest fire as early as possible and also predict the forest fire in advance
so that prompt action can be taken before the fire destroys and spreads over a large area. We also
find the rate of spread of fire in all direction so that necessary action can be initiated. The other
problems are deforestation where humans cut the trees from restricted areas and so the wild
animals from the forest enter the human habitation and cause problems. In this paper we discuss
the solutions to overcome these problems.

Summary Of Patricia Marchak s Ideological Perspectives On...
In regard to the reading Ideological Perspectives on Canada by Patricia Marchak we discuss
three ideologies such as the dominant ideology, counter ideology, and ideology in basic terms.
Exploring the various aspects which these ideologies impact individuals and society an
importance arises which explains why these beliefs are important to all. With ideology being of
great importance we should study how it impacts children, large populations, and social norms.
Fist, it is important to study ideology for the benefit of our future generation, children. Parents
can enforce or inexplicitly teach their own beliefs to their children whether it is right or wrong.
Explanations of how money, jobs, gender, education, and other important topics are ideologically
taught to children through a sense of bias. It is not meant at times by the parent but enforcing that
working a high paying job is only acceptable, or an uneducated person is unintelligent when there
are many versions of knowledge apart from university to be learned. The reason I state that we
should study ideology is because everyone has different views to which is taught to the younger
generation who will pass on what they have learned in the future. It is what ideology is learned
today is how other individuals will act... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Without the in depth analysis of ideologies, we would not understand or learn why large
populations follow negative or positive beliefs. For example, the Nazis was a large followed
belief by many Germans in the 1930 s. The ideology of exterminating any enemies such as Jews,
homosexuals, and gypsies became a widespread norm for Germans or others to take part in. In
my opinion I find that some ideologies occur through fear, deprivation of food, money, or the
downfall of a state. With large populations suffering together any solution good or bad will become
a common fixture to help everyone even if it means the damage of

Birdies In Mad Men
Birdies

Effects Of Capital Punishment In The Hanging
An eye for an eye, a leg for a leg, and a life for a life? This form of punishment has been
traditional for centuries and still to this day. A life for a life is now sugarcoated with the name
Capital Punishment . Capital punishment is a legal punishment by death for committing a crime. It
was created in hopes that people would fear to commit a crime. Besides its intention, having capital
punishmenthas actually done the opposite. Statistics show that is not exactly the case. States with
the death penalty have higher murder rates than those who don t therefore, their system is flawed.
Not only that but, capital punishment actually costs more money than caring for prisoners.
According to Death Penalty Information Center Cases without the death penalty cost $740,000,
while cases where the death penalty is sought cost $1.26 million. Maintaining each death row
prisoner costs taxpayers $90,000 more per year than a prisoner in general population. More money
is being wasted killing people than sending them to jail for life. Then there s the psychological
effect it leaves. The short story The Hanging displays the detrimental effects of capital punishment.
Capital punishment is inhumane. The death penalty is a cruel and barbaric form of punishment that
takes away the compassion and mercy from humans. This is shown throughout the story. In The
Hanging is said We were waiting outside the condemned cells, a row of sheds fronted with double
bars, like small animal cages. Each

How To Write A Research Paper On Bea Beam Miller
Beam launchers work on two phases, beam placing and moving forwards. The beam placing
operates in two ways depending on where beams are delivered. On one condition, that beams are
delivered on the ground level, lifting trolley will pick them up directly by both ends. On the
other condition, that beams are delivered at abutment, by two trucks or other carriers at each
side, the front trolley will pick up the front end of beams, then the front end of beams will be
released from carrier; the front trolley moves forward, simultaneously with another carrier and
beams, until the rear end of beams are at the same horizontal position of the rear trolley. The rear
trolley will pick up the rear end of beams then, and once again the beams will be released from
carrier. After the trolley getting the beams at deck level, the latter will be placed onto the bearings.

Religious Freedom Restoration
How is the Religious Freedom Restoration Act Unconstitutional? Each individual is entitled to
follow his or her own religious beliefs, but does openly practicing it affect others? Certain
practices are discouraged or are considered illegal, but are usually a fundamental part of one s
religion. In 1993, current New York Governor Chuck Schumer authored the Religious Freedom
Restoration Act(RFRA) to protect people s religious freedom without government interference and
the act was signed by former President Bill Clinton, but in 1997 the Supreme Court stated that it

How Does Oxytocin Impact On Behavior
Hormones are chemical messengers that are secreted directly into the blood from the Endocrine
glands, which carries them to organs and tissues of the body to exert their functions. There are
many types of hormones that act on different aspects of bodily functions and processes. Oxytocin,
sometimes referred to as the love hormone, has been associated with several types of social
behavior. It acts as both a hormone and neurotransmitter in the brain, and it is thought to have co
evolved with vasopressin. In women, oxytocin is released in huge amounts during labor also
known as facilitating birth and breastfeeding. However, this hormone has been secreted in various
behaviors in both genders. The question I m here to answer is specifically oxytocin s impact on
behavior and I believe that there is a genuine correlation with... Show more content on

voles with oxytocin, the animals basically just sticked themselves to their new mating partners.
These female voles also were more likely to lick and cuddle more than uninjected voles. Decisively,
after being injected with oxytocin antagonists, the females left their partners. Some scientists have
hypothesized Vasopressin has the same effect in males, and according to them it s possible this
turned a few men into jealous husbands and boyfriends. However, I personally believe these
bonding and attachment traits, nevertheless, are most likely what caused oxytocin to be evident
throughout mammalian evolution. Trust also seems like an additional unique mammalian
characteristic that s been correlated with oxytocin. In a 1995 experiment done by scientist Berg, a
risky investment game was paired up with a Oxytocin nasal spray. Players were sprayed with the

Taking a Look at Audio Compression
Audio compression is most important strategies in multimedia applications in recent years. In
communication, the main objective is to communicate without noise and loss of information. This
paper emphasis the enhanced lossless compression and noise suppression in mobile phones and
hearing aids. An effective technique is needed to transfer the audio signals with reduced bandwidth
and storage space, without noise and loss of information in the signal during compression. Wavelet
transformation method produces better lossless compression than other methods. The proposed
method uses Haar wavelet and the algorithm used for lossless compression and noise reduction
are: MLT PSPIHT ( Modulated Lapped Transform Perceptual Set Partitioning In Hierarchical Trees)
and HANC (Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling) algorithm.
Keywords: Audio lossless compression, noise suppression, Haar wavelet, MLT SPIHT algorithm,
HANC algorithm.
INTRODUCTION:
Audio compression technique is increasingly becomes more significant in multimedia applications,
since it produce extensively reduced bit rate than the original signal, the bandwidth , storage space
and expense for the transmission of audio signal is also reduced correspondingly.
General frame work of audio compression
In specific to the multimedia application, the suppression of noise and the compression with no
loss of data is most mandatory in the use of mobile phones and hearing aids. Due to the

Analysis Of The Song Africa By Toto Essay
Personally, one of my all time favorite songs is Africa by Toto, which is featured on his self
titled and fourth album Toto: IV. This song is one of my favorites because it brings me a sense
of nostalgia as I used to listen to this song all of the time as a child. Now, despite there being no
actual reason behind liking the song besides its nostalgic effects, I absolutely adore it, and every
time this song comes on, I get super excited and sing along no matter where I am. I could be out
in public, which has happened before, and I will immediately stop when Africa comes on and
begin to sing the song at the top of my lungs because it is just so catchy and it brings me back to
the good old days when things were much simpler. One specific interpretation of the song that I
believe could be taken to heart and represent me is that the song is actually about cleansing (i.e.
the rain) and going back to the origins of life, or in this case Africa, to where life began for this
man so that he could start over and get away from the world for a while. This, I feel, represents
me in that sometimes I wish I could get away from the world and technology for a bit too, and
like I addressed earlier go back to much simpler times, but that s just one perspective of the song
as it has been interpreted in many different ways. Now another song that I love, which has similar
effects to Africa is We Didn t Start the Fire by Billy Joel, which is featured on his album Storm

officially stated guideline that governs group functions and member behavior. There are many
examples of rules in the movie, but I am going to talk about one particular incident. In beginning
of movie when the students first arrive for detention, Principal Vernon sets down the rules, what
he expects them to do, and to behave under his supervision. He does this to show that he is the

behaviors, and procedures that govern a group s operation. I am going to be talking about a social
norm in particular. In the movie, five completely different people are stuck in detention together.
Social norms say that if they become friends over this one Saturday, they won t stay friends once
they leave dentition and will go on with their lives like nothing happened between them. This is
because their regular school friends would make fun of them because they are in completely

The Impact Of Trust By Steven Covey
The Impact of Trust Steven Covey said, Trust is the glue of life. It s the most essential ingredient in
effective communication. It s the foundational principle that holds all relationships (Covey, 2017).
We unknowingly have trust in many individuals: doctors, firefighters, pilots, and many more. Trust
impacts us every day. It impacts our relationships with family, friend, colleagues, and even
strangers. We all have different levels of trust in our lives depending on our environment and the
people we interact with. Trust starts at birth, develops through a person s lifetime, and will impact

My class mate couldn t fully fall backwards because she couldn t make herself vulnerable. The
real question is, Who do we trust? A study by Maxwell J. Mehlman tried to answer this question
with a research study. In his study, he found that people tend to be more trusting with people of
authority (Mehlman, 2016). This study makes a lot of sense to me. We unknowingly trust people
like doctors, teachers, and many others. Bruce Compton said we tend to trust people of authority
because of respect (Compton, 2015). Because there is already a visual of the person you have
respect with, it is very easy to have trust with that person (Compton, 2015).

The Great Lakes Region By Richard White
Richard White provides a refreshing perspective on the Great Lakes region during the colonial and
early national periods in regards to the developing relationships between the intrusive French,
British, Americans and the indigenous Native Americans. The Middle Ground: Indians, Empires
and Republics in the Great Lakes Region effectively links Native American history to broader
themes in American history. He presents a convincing argument of how the Middle Ground, a place
the French called the pays d en haut, allowed for mutual accommodation and an acculturative social
solution to develop out of the misunderstandings and the new meanings given to older institutions.
White looks to this area to show how Native Americans and Europeans together constructed a
complex and dynamic world that became the multiethnic society of early America. White has
written a remarkable book that further enriches the historiography of the Great Lakes region and
gives us a fuller understanding of this complicated world that underwent profound historic change.
White presents an interesting introduction that demonstrates the extremely complex subject and
multiple influences that defined the middle ground. He does not state an obvious thesis in his
introduction but rather details the larger themes he intends to analyze within the context of his
book. He debunks the American myths related to the period of European expansion in the Great
Lakes region by noting that contact was not a battle of primal

William Dunbar along with Robert Henryson are two well known, popular medieval poets who
both are said to be influenced by Geoffrey Chaucer , a Middle Ages poet who wrote much of the

based many of his poems around religion and courtly love (two common themes of medieval
poetry) and wrote many popular poems such as The Dance Of The Seven Deadly Sins and The

Secular marriages were not blessed by the church and were more popular amongst the poorer
people as there was no expensive ceremony with rings. This type of marriage made it easier for
divorce and to remarry. In the poem, Dunbar uses a male narrator who is a voyeur eavesdropping
into a conversation amongst three, intoxicated woman who are in a garden on Midsummer night s
eve; two of them married and one a widow. In this conversation they discuss their husbands in an
unpleasant way and discuss their sexual desires which at this time was unheard of to males as
they classified woman as belongings and inferior. This poem is an attempt by Dunbar to get inside
the head of a woman which was a common thought amongst men as some were worried woman
were untrustworthy. The setting of this poem plays an important, although discreet role as
Midsummer Eve is associated with fertility rites back in pre Christian times and the garden they
are in would have been filled with sweet scents from the flowers blooming at that time of year, so
the setting is almost a metaphor for the woman and their duty to provide children and fertility.
The poem begins with the voyeur telling his audience about the three women and how he is hiding
and listening in to their personal conversation. To a modern audience this seems odd and disturbing
but back in the time this was set, it was viewed as a normal way to get information, which is

Thanksgiving is an American holiday that celebrate the Pilgrim s successful harvest. The Pilgrims

do not need a very sloped surface before you start to slip or slide and hence, that is what happens
with the permafrost and overlying land, resulting in landslides in the North. Also, melting
permafrost leads to subsidence, which occurs usually when permafrost thaws/melts and the soil
formerly held up by the ice caves in. An example of this would be about Iqaluit s Arctic Winter
Games arena, where the floor began to sink soon after the building opened in October 2001. It is
predicted that permafrost area may decrease by approximately thirty seven to eighty one percent by
the end of the century! As temperatures keep getting warmer, permafrost will continue to thaw.
Moreover, changes in permafrost have unpleasant results for infrastructure designed for permafrost
conditions. Eventually, pipelines, airstrips and roads need to be changed because they depend on
permafrost for structural integrity. The estimated costs to upgrade and fix buildings or infra
structure in Canada s North could range from $250 million to $420 million. All these current
/predicted changes due to melting permafrost has resulted in a huge or major burden on the
government resources.100 and 1000 of people in North Canada live on permafrost. Once the frozen
water turns into water, it makes it quite difficult for the people in the towns to find drinking water.
To conclude, melting permafrost in North Canada has resulted in landslides, subsidence, damage to
infra structure and people are facing trouble in accessing

The Paris Commune 1871

March 31, 2013
The Paris Commune 1871 One of the most inspiring and greatest events for the working class in
history is The Paris Commune of 1871. In March of 1871, the citizens of Paris declined the
authority of the French government. The working class people were able to replace the state
government with their own branch of government and held power until their decline. Causes of the
Communes origins lie in the Franco Prussian War as well as the siege of Paris. During this time,
people were experiencing intense isolation from France and uproar of patriotism which caused
socialist aspects to come about among the lower class Parisians. With the defeat of France and the
end of the siege, people ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Since this rejection of power was done openly, Thiers called an immediate evacuation of
government from Paris. The army and many of the bureaucracy left the city and went to Versailles.
Citizens now had control of Paris. The newly formed Central Committee of the National Guard
came out as the main authority during the government s swift retreat. The immediate concern of the
committee was to have municipal elections and move power to the Commune as quickly as
possible. On March 26, the elections brought a Paris Commune that was to the left of the Assembly
at Versailles. Many of the districts elected officials that were in opposition of the government. Of
the ninety one representatives, thirty five were manual laborers, mostly craftsmen in little
workshops. Members of the Commune had little to no experience politically. They often
rambled during their debates which caused many matters to be dropped rather than addressed
(Magraw 88). Politically, the Commune had no direction. This was a very important aspect
because it was needed in order to win a civil war. One of the Commune s most effective measures
was to do away with payment of rent that accumulated over the course of the siege. For lower
classes, this was a big relief and helped to get more support for the Commune. However, actions
such as this were very rare. With no apparent leader, the Commune was always shifting different

Abstract
CNX Nifty being an important barometer to indicate country s growth has always been
followed with lots of interest from both academia and industry. Now, CNX Nifty could be
predicted or not on a random basis gives rise to many a questions. This sounds redolent with any
predictive modeling though with a certain degree of accuracy in built in to the system. The major
point of consideration is that predictive modeling could be done by various measures and
mechanisms. In predictive modeling Multiple Adaptive Regression (MARS), Classification and
Regression Trees (CART), Logistic OLS or Non Linear OLS could be used. Here in this study the
researcher has utilized Neural Network as a Predictive Modeler to predict CNX Nifty closing on
certain random time zones under consideration.

village life is better than city
when the research don t work it should be think by mind.
Today s life has many difficulties and people are the victims, so they plan to make it easy as they
canother. So they can reach a good position. They have more friends in the community since it is
small. The village people always try to protect their traditional habits and culture. The village has
clean air and the environment is very beautiful. The village has less noise and rush. So the
pollution is less. The village has not lot of vehicles. So roads are less dangerous for driving
cycling. They can get fresh vegetables and fresh fruits. The environment of the village is pleasant
and silent and it has scenic beauty. The village has not only good points, but also it has bad points.

Although living in the city has many advantages there are some disadvantages too, the cost of the
living is very high in the city, the city is always noisy, no fresh air and pure water. So it is hard to
lead a healthy life. On other hand the village the undeveloped area for example, we cannot easily
get many facilities the insufficient medical and education facilities, few opportunities to make
money, little entertainment, no or little public transportation, also less facilities than a big city offers.
Over all there are some similarities between both locations with big differences. But for each lives
there is lovers who cannot switches lives to the other city, at the end, I see that Living in a village
near the city is the best way to combine the benefits of this two lives.
City Life Vs Village Life
who can describe the pleasures and delight, the peace of mind and soft tranquity
One would feel in the balmy air, green hills and rich woods of a village. these
Lines are rightly said by great English writer Charles dickens . villages are generally very
beautiful with green hills, clean air and peace. In villages people care and help each other. Cities
are normally very crowded places as compared to Villages. In the city, one might not have the
privacy that one wish for. One would not be able to go outside without bumping into people. One

Macular Degeneration Essay
Age related Macular Degeneration or AMD is a disease that affects millions of Americans every
year. There are several factors that contribute to this disease, those being: exposure to bright light,
diet, hereditary factors and gender. The main ones that can be controlled consist of exposure to
bright light and diet. Those that cannot be controlled are hereditary factors and gender. Prevention
of macular degenerationconsists of reducing the eyes exposure to bright light and the daily diet of
the person at risk. What I seek to explore is if adopting to the Mediterranean diet will create the
needed health benefit to prevent the onset of AMD. The Mediterranean diet is one which focuses

The poor diet of the southern Mediterranean consisting mainly of fruits and vegetables. Beans and
nuts, healthy grains, fish, olive oil, small amounts of dairy, and red wine, proved to be much more
likely to lead to lifelong good health. (Tufts University Health and nutrition letter,2013).
Researchers analyzed the diets of 883 people age 55 and older for two years and found that the
more closely they followed the Med diet, the lower their risk for AMD. Fifty percent of those
who didn t closely follow the diet had AMD, while 39 percent who closely adhered to the diet
had AMD a 35 percent lower risk in comparison ( Med Diet Cuts Macular Degeneration Risk
,(2017). This is supported also by the article Eat more like a Mediterranean to protect your eyes ,
where a high consumption of fish, fish oil, nuts and lutein and zeaxanthin obtained from eating
vegetables reduced the risk of AMD. It goes on to state later that it involves a decrease in oxidative
stress and inflammation that play a role in AMD formation. As stated by Michael Hoster, Omega 3
fatty acid supplementation can slow or inhibit choroidal

The book I choose to read was The Storyteller by Antonia Michaelis. Anna is a girl who likes to
dream and was quite an innocent child despite being in highschool realty hasn t hit her yet, that
was until she meet Abel also known as the polish peddler. He is a drug dealer and that was who

best of people she was still able to dream big and stay out of trouble. Anna stayed outside. She
felt stupid. She wanted to think about the old sled with the red stripe, but instead she thought
soap bubble. I live in a soap bubble. The whole school knows things I don t. But maybe I don t
want to know them. (Michalis 7) As the story progressed she began to change. She meet the

Passionate love songs, clashing battles, and heartfelt speeches all have their places in Shakespeare s Globe Theatre. Although most remember him for his writings, Shakespeare himself worked as an actor at the Globe. The theatre has survived much, still bringing us Shakespeare s brilliance today. While the theatre itself has changed, many of the plays performed there remain identical to Shakespeare s originals. Sam died December 18, 1993, 4 years before the Queen opened the theatre for the first time. They both had a need for exploration, fame, and danger, and Henson s need is one of the reasons he started traveling with Peary. Peary was going to head an engineering team to see about the possibility of digging a canal across Nicaragua. Theme Of Archetypes In Brave New World In order to understand the overarching message of Brave New World, Huxley uses a variety of elements such as Archetypes, Allusions, and the conflict of man vs society in which help highlight the novel. Being born into this society he is never given a chance to escape from reservation. In fact, few studies have research internationalisation phenomenon have studied it on the perspective of the banking sector (Amungo in Adeleye, White, Boso, 2016, pp. 69 91), examining the factors influencing the international expansion of Nigerian banks finds that Nigerian banks internationalisation is influenced by home country regulations and the domestic competitive pressure, managerial intentionality and risk diversification. Similarly, Boojihawon and Acholonu (2013) on the study of the internationalisation of African banks shows that the consolidation and recapitalization program in the banking sector 2004 motives Nigerian banks embark on foreign expansion. This is an indication that SSA firms deserves a focus in the international business research, because of the region diversity in terms of resources, political systems, cultural diversity and economic structures (Initiative for Global Development and Dalberg Global Development, 2011). As a result this study focus is on the motivation and patterns of Nigerian firm s internationalisation. • 6. Enlightenment And Romantic Ideologies In Classical Music These two pieces of classical music reflect their respective ideologies of the time very successfully. The Enlightenment and Romantic ideologies are very different on an artistic level, and with Mozart and Mendelssohn s music pieces we can see how the two ideologies stand up against one another. In Mozart s Harpsichord Concerto, we see a reflection of the Enlightenment era s infatuation with sharp and straight to the point thinking. Mozart s piece is meant to be played very quickly, and the enlightenment valued being able to play a piece very technically, requiring fast and nimble fingers. Mozart s piece is very orderly, with the all of the notes staying very consistently short and quick. There are no drawn out sections of Mozart s piece, and we can see that this is because of the Enlightenment s values to display more technical skill instead of playing out longer and more emotionally.... The Romantic period focussed more on emotion, intuition, and nature, which is very similar to the entire tone of the Mendelssohn s piece. These longer notes evoke more emotion to the listener because hanging onto minor notes just evokes more sadness towards us. In addition, this makes the piece very dramatic, with goes into the theme of deep caring for emotion. The Romantic period always preferred more chaos or disorder than control. Collapse, By Jared Diamond COLLAPSE by Jared Diamond attempts to answer the question, What caused some of the great civilizations of the past to collapse into ruin, and what can we learn from their fates? This book is divided into four main sections, and I ll be talking about the most important sections and the most important chapters in it. The first section starts off with Diamond going in to the present in the United States. He starts off with the Bitterroot Valley of Montana. While it seems untouched, with endless splendor, looks are deceiving. Diamond shows Montana as the model of our times: healthy on the surface, but at the moment terminally ill below. Covering up to 500,000 square miles, these were extremely fertile lands, watered by the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. Long, long ago, the area was so populated and so prosperous that it has been nicknamed the Cradle of Civilization. But it collapsed. Due to thousands of years of irrigation, subsequent salination, and displacement of forest with agriculture; the area now is the cradle of misery and hostility. It is now part of the deserts and arid lands of Israel, Lebanon, Jordon, Syria, Iraq, and southeastern Turkey. Twilight at Easter is similar to the Fertile Crescent. One reason Diamond selected this island is because, it proves to be the closest approximation that we have to an ecological disaster unfolding in complete isolation. This, is an important aspect for researchers because it means that outside factors, which so often make the difference, were not influential in the demise. The reasons for collapse could only come from within the isolated system of Easter Island. I found this chapter absolutely fascinating. For me the real insights were the role of the political system in the building of the giant stone statues that became Easter Island s biggest mystery when it was discovered in 1722. There were hundreds of erect statues with no one there. Who built them? As Diamond explains, it was the dozen clans that controlled the island who built them. The clans competed peacefully by seeking to outdo each other in building ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The choice of no pieces of clothing placed a significant part in this discovery. Without the secret, specific intimate details provided by the clothing, Sherlock was unable to draw inspiration from Irene. Then at 26:24, we see Sherlock hand over his black, signature coat for Irene to cover her naked body with. She sits down and begins to engage in a conversation with Sherlock and Holmes. From 26:20 till 26:56, the audience see firsthand that Irene is more than a sexual object, but a woman of intellect and mystery. Revealing information about the unreleased murder case, both men are surprised and amazed by her capabilities of finding information. In this, she is quoted saying that, I know one of the policeman, well I know what he likes , and then continuing to say, I like detective stories, and detectives. Brain is the new sexy. ( ). Irene, from reading this, is a woman who knows what she wants, how to get it and is very persuasive when doing so. Irene wearing the black coat, made famous by Sherlock, symbolizes that Irene, in that moment, holding the brains in the room. She is commanding attention for brain, through her wits and charms, but proves to the men that she is just as capable of holding an intellectual conversation about detective discoveries and work at hand throughout the episode. Sample D was identified as sodium thiosulphate because of a chemical property its reaction to acid. • 13. Cage Free Egg Free Eggs The article from Huffington Post with the heading McDonald s Plans To Switch To Cage Free Eggs mentions the announcement of McDonald s plan on cage free eggs. McDonald s plans to complete the transition to cage free eggs in the U.S. and Canada by 2025.1 The article not only brings cage free eggs into concern, but also raises heated discussion about whether hens should be bred in the cage free system or in the conventional way. In this essay, I will argue that it is a right choice to switch to the cage free system in terms of the animal welfare. Besides, I will suggest that the cage free system should be encouraged because eggs laid by hens raised in such system embraces better nutrition. Encouragement of cage free eggs is a bold move, but it is worth carrying out. In terms of the animal welfare, the cage free system treats hens in a more humane manner and ensures them a life with more freedom. An overwhelming majority of hens are limited in the conventional cages, where they each can share only 67 square inches of the cage space.2 67 square inches cannot even compare with a piece of letter size paper which takes up about 93.5 square inches. Such tiny space is not enough for hens to spread their wings, let alone make nests or perch. The conventional system shows a lack of certain humanity. Unlike the conventional system, the cage free system provides more spacious room for hens, where they are able to walk around within a certain range, to spread their ... Dramas tend to be driven and somewhat dependent on powerful actor portrayals and good direction, rather than CGI effects or action. Dramas tend to include characters that are complex and well developed throughout their films. But perhaps one of the most key elements in dramas are the themes of intense and real struggle centered around the human condition. These themes can be expressed overtly through the plot and story or symbolically through several different film elements. One of the most dangerous is the forest fire. Forest fire destroys trees which give us oxygen and it is very difficult to stop a forest fire spreading if it is not detected early. Our method is to detect the forest fire as early as possible and also predict the forest fire in advance so that prompt action can be taken before the fire destroys and spreads over a large area. We also find the rate of spread of fire in all direction so that necessary action can be initiated. The other problems are deforestation where humans cut the trees from restricted areas and so the wild animals from the forest enter the human habitation and cause problems. In this paper we discuss the solutions to overcome these problems. In regard to the reading Ideological Perspectives on Canada by Patricia Marchak we discuss three ideologies such as the dominant ideology, counter ideology, and ideology in basic terms. Exploring the various aspects which these ideologies impact individuals and society an importance arises which explains why these beliefs are important to all. With ideology being of great importance we should study how it impacts children, large populations, and social norms. Fist, it is important to study ideology for the benefit of our future generation, children. Parents can enforce or inexplicitly teach their own beliefs to their children whether it is right or wrong. Explanations of how money, jobs, gender, education, and other important topics are ideologically taught to children through a sense of bias. It is not meant at times by the parent but enforcing that working a high paying job is only acceptable, or an uneducated person is unintelligent when there are many versions of knowledge apart from university to be learned. The song is an allusion to Psalm 137 where the lines by the rivers of Babylon, we sat and wept when we remembered Zion can be found at the beginning. • 22. Effects Of Capital Punishment In The Hanging An eye for an eye, a leg for a leg, and a life for a life? This form of punishment has been traditional for centuries and still to this day. A life for a life is now sugarcoated with the name Capital Punishment . Capital punishment is a legal punishment by death for committing a crime. It was created in hopes that people would fear to commit a crime. Besides its intention, having capital punishmenthas actually done the opposite. Statistics show that is not exactly the case. States with the death penalty have higher murder rates than those who don t therefore, their system is flawed. Not only that but, capital punishment actually costs more money than caring for prisoners. According to Death Penalty Information Center Cases without the death penalty cost $740,000, while cases where the death penalty is sought cost $1.26 million. Maintaining each death row prisoner costs taxpayers $90,000 more per year than a prisoner in general population. More money is being wasted killing people than sending them to jail for life. Then there s the psychological effect it leaves. The short story The Hanging displays the detrimental effects of capital punishment. Capital punishment is inhumane. The death penalty is a cruel and barbaric form of punishment that takes away the compassion and mercy from humans. This is shown throughout the story. The beam placing operates in two ways depending on where beams are delivered. On one condition, that beams are delivered on the ground level, lifting trolley will pick them up directly by both ends. On the other condition, that beams are delivered at abutment, by two trucks or other carriers at each side, the front trolley will pick up the front end of beams, then the front end of beams will be released from carrier; the front trolley moves forward, simultaneously with another carrier and beams, until the rear end of beams are at the same horizontal position of the rear trolley. The rear trolley will pick up the rear end of beams then, and once again the beams will be released from carrier. After the trolley getting the beams at deck level, the latter will be placed onto the bearings. How Does Oxytocin Impact On Behavior Hormones are chemical messengers that are secreted directly into the blood from the Endocrine glands, which carries them to organs and tissues of the body to exert their functions. There are many types of hormones that act on different aspects of bodily functions and processes. Oxytocin, sometimes referred to as the love hormone, has been associated with several types of social behavior. It acts as both a hormone and neurotransmitter in the brain, and it is thought to have co evolved with vasopressin. In women, oxytocin is released in huge amounts during labor also known as facilitating birth and breastfeeding. However, this hormone has been secreted in various behaviors in both genders. Some scientists have hypothesized Vasopressin has the same effect in males, and according to them it s possible this turned a few men into jealous husbands and boyfriends. However, I personally believe these bonding and attachment traits, nevertheless, are most likely what caused oxytocin to be evident throughout mammalian evolution. This paper emphasis the enhanced lossless compression and noise suppression in mobile phones and hearing aids. An effective technique is needed to transfer the audio signals with reduced bandwidth and storage space, without noise and loss of information in the signal during compression. Wavelet transformation method produces better lossless compression than other methods. The proposed method uses Haar wavelet and the algorithm used for lossless compression and noise reduction are: MLT PSPIHT ( Modulated Lapped Transform Perceptual Set Partitioning In Hierarchical Trees) and HANC (Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling) algorithm. This song is one of my favorites because it brings me a sense of nostalgia as I used to listen to this song all of the time as a child. Now, despite there being no actual reason behind liking the song besides its nostalgic effects, I absolutely adore it, and every time this song comes on, I get super excited and sing along no matter where I am. I could be out in public, which has happened before, and I will immediately stop when Africa comes on and begin to sing the song at the top of my lungs because it is just so catchy and it brings me back to the good old days when things were much simpler. One specific interpretation of the song that I believe could be taken to heart and represent me is that the song is actually about cleansing (i.e. the rain) and going back to the origins of life, or in this case Africa, to where life began for this man so that he could start over and get away from the world for a while. This, I feel, represents me in that sometimes I wish I could get away from the world and technology for a bit too, and like I addressed earlier go back to much simpler times, but that s just one perspective of the song as it has been interpreted in many different ways. Now another song that I love, which has similar effects to Africa is We Didn t Start the Fire by Billy Joel, which is featured on his album Storm Front. This song, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This study makes a lot of sense to me. We unknowingly trust people like doctors, teachers, and many others. Bruce Compton said we tend to trust people of authority because of respect (Compton, 2015). The Middle Ground: Indians, Empires and Republics in the Great Lakes Region effectively links Native American history to broader themes in American history. He presents a convincing argument of how the Middle Ground, a place the French called the pays d en haut, allowed for mutual accommodation and an acculturative social solution to develop out of the misunderstandings and the new meanings given to older institutions. White looks to this area to show how Native Americans and Europeans together constructed a complex and dynamic world that became the multiethnic society of early America. White has written a remarkable book that further enriches the historiography of the Great Lakes region and gives us a fuller understanding of this complicated world that underwent profound historic change. White presents an interesting introduction that demonstrates the extremely complex subject and multiple influences that defined the middle ground. Ground temperatures in parts of the North are warming by one 10th of a degree after every ten years. Where ground ice contents are comparatively high, melting permafrost can have significant impacts, some of which may take not be as willingly obvious as others. On ice, you do not need a very sloped surface before you start to slip or slide and hence, that is what happens with the permafrost and overlying land, resulting in landslides in the North. Also, melting permafrost leads to subsidence, which occurs usually when permafrost thaws/melts and the soil formerly held up by the ice caves in. An example of this would be about Iqaluit s Arctic Winter Games arena, where the floor began to sink soon after the building opened in October 2001. It is predicted that permafrost area may decrease by approximately thirty seven to eighty one percent by the end of the century! As temperatures keep getting warmer, permafrost will continue to thaw. Moreover, changes in permafrost have unpleasant results for infrastructure designed for permafrost conditions. • 41. The Paris Commune 1871 Chantel E. H. Crosby HIS 102 W08 March 31, 2013 The Paris Commune 1871 One of the most inspiring and greatest events for the working class in history is The Paris Commune of 1871. In March of 1871, the citizens of Paris declined the authority of the French government. The working class people were able to replace the state government with their own branch of government and held power until their decline. Causes of the Communes origins lie in the Franco Prussian War as well as the siege of Paris. During this time, people were experiencing intense isolation from France and uproar of patriotism which caused socialist aspects to come about among the lower class Parisians. With the defeat of France and the end of the siege, people ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Since this rejection of power was done openly, Thiers called an immediate evacuation of government from Paris. The army and many of the bureaucracy left the city and went to Versailles. Citizens now had control of Paris. The newly formed Central Committee of the National Guard came out as the main authority during the government s swift retreat. The immediate concern of the committee was to have municipal elections and move power to the Commune as quickly as possible. On March 26, the elections brought a Paris Commune that was to the left of the Assembly at Versailles. Many of the districts elected officials that were in opposition of the government. Of the ninety one representatives, thirty five were manual laborers, mostly craftsmen in little workshops. Members of the Commune had little to no experience politically. They often rambled during their debates which caused many matters to be dropped rather than addressed (Magraw 88). Politically, the Commune had no direction. This was a very important aspect because it was needed in order to win a civil war. One of the Commune s most effective measures was to do away with payment of rent that accumulated over the course of the siege. For lower classes, this was a big relief and helped to get more support for the Commune. However, actions such as this were very rare. With no apparent leader, the Commune was always shifting different ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Professor , Christ University, Bangalore Abstract CNX Nifty being an important barometer to indicate country s growth has always been followed with lots of interest from both academia and industry. Now, CNX Nifty could be predicted or not on a random basis gives rise to many a questions. This sounds redolent with any predictive modeling though with a certain degree of accuracy in built in to the system. The major point of consideration is that predictive modeling could be done by various measures and mechanisms. In predictive modeling Multiple Adaptive Regression (MARS), Classification and Regression Trees (CART), Logistic OLS or Non Linear OLS could be used. Here in this study the researcher has utilized Neural Network as a Predictive Modeler to predict CNX Nifty closing on certain random time zones under consideration. Keywords Neural Network, CNX Nifty, Predictive Modeling Literature Review Quite a few in depth articles were found in the said domain. However India specific studies were missing. The author took the baton from his own research, where he did detect the presence of sentiment in CNX Nifty deploying Probabilistic ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
