services that are available to and for lesbian survivors of intimate partner violence, and how do

Research Statement
Reflecting on the path my answer might take, it is possible that the resources and services available in
Ottawa reflect a heteronormative belief about society. Put another way; the services could reproduce
the erasure of lesbian experiences of partner violence. In this sense, the experience of heterosexual
women and lesbian women could be conflated, and all women offered the same services. That being
said, lesbian women may not have their needs met in a way that is concrete or meaningful.
Consequently, it is necessary for service and resources that respond to intimate partner violence to

with the use of body scanners for the sake of national security? This week thousands of Americans
will board airplanes to head to their Thanksgiving destinations, and they will need to undergo several
security checks in order to advance to their flight. Since September 11, 2001, the vulnerability and
fear arose in the United States citizens about the security tactics in place to protect our nation. One
area of concern was the airport security measures that allowed al Qaeda and their associates to take
control of United State s airplanes to carry out their plan of attack. The fear of another terrorist attack
taking place on the airplanes resulted in extraordinary security tactics immediately emerging to protect
the citizens. Further instances of other threats required more advanced security equipment to be
installed, such as the body scanners. Statistics revealed there were an estimated 793 scanners (full
body scanners) in use in March 2016 in more than 157 airports in the United States (Jansen). All of

Data volumes have been growing exponentially in recent years, this increase in data across all the
business domains have played a significant part in the analysis and structuring of data. NoSQL



Introduction
The purpose of this essay is to describe and explain the uses of hypnotherapy in the treatment of a
medical condition. For this essay I have chosen to look at a chronic life limiting illness called Motor
Neurone Disease. This is a disease that can affect many different aspects of a person s life and is very
aggressive in its symptoms. I have met quite a few people with this condition whilst working in the

As a Christian, Laurie believes that she should serve the Lord who called her to start this program. She
has a strong relationship with Jesus Christ and she believes that because of this her faith in him as

The book I chose is, If You Take A Mouse To School written by Laura Numeroff and illustrated by
Felicia Bond. If I were to use this book in a second grade classroom and be questioned about it by the
principle I would say that I am using it to teach the concept of cause and effect. Concept books are
great to use because there are so many benefits that can come out of them. In this book particularly it
would be a great simulant of discussion for the students, they can explore the different ideas within the
book and talk amongst each other about their own opinions. It is also is a great way to introduce the

I may ask if anyone had ever eaten to much candy or if anyone had tripped over something. Once the
students share their answers I will then ask them what happened once they ate to much candy or once
they tripped over something. Once everyone is done sharing I will introduce the topic of cause and
effect and explain to them using the previous examples what cause and effect is. For example, when
the students ate to much candy they got a tummy ache, the cause of the tummy ache was eating too

your lunchbox, he ll want a sandwich and a snack for later. After reading this the students and I would
discuss that the cause of the mouse wanting the lunch box was because he was going to school and
because he was given a lunch box he wanted to fill it with food for later and that was the effect the
mouse receiving the lunch box. Once the students understand this concept pretty well, they will break
into groups of two and create a short story of cause and effect using any animal they want. Just a

This story is about a miracle. A true miracle. I was three when my paw paw Tony, my dad s dad, had a
heart attack. This heart attack should have been life ending, had it not been for my paw paw s co
worker. For 30 minutes, this co worker did CPR while waiting for an ambulance. By the time my
parents got to the hospital, my paw paw was breathing on a ventilator. They were told that there was

chemical stimulants. During this experiment a ghost shrimp represented the open circulatory system,
while the black worm represented the closed circulatory system. For each organism there resting heart

shrimp and the worm were treated with caffeine, and then their heart rate was recorded after the
