• How Can The Entire Inca Empire Being Decimated By Only...
The Roots of Inequality
How can the entire Inca empire that consisted of millions of people be decimated by only 200
Europeans? The answer is is inequality. Inequality has been around since people started civilizations,
Mainly the Europeans. The Europeans were able to decimate entire cultures because they had Suitable
crops, domesticable animals, immunity to many diseases, and steel, and all of those are affected by
geography climate and pure luck.
To find out how the Europeans got lucky and achieved total conquest you need to know what they had
on their side. The first thing Europeans had was crops and agriculture. The Europeans started off as
hunters and gatherers, they were nomadic. Instead of settling in one place they followed the animals ...

The europeans lives with their animals, ate food with their animals and went to the bathroom in the
same place as their animals, Because they were so close to their animals germs spread very rapidly.
The Europeans had no idea that germs existed or that they got sick because of them. The germs
originated from animals and people got them because they drank their milk, ate their meat and were in
close proximity to them and thus the germs spread from animals to people. Germs gave the Europeans
a secret advantage because they could kill thousands of their enemies without even stepping on the
battlefield. The incan empire lived high up in the mountains and interacted with very few people. They
did domesticate Llamas but they did not live in very close proximity with them so they never
developed diseases and immunities. If the incans had developed immunities to diseases then they
would have not been decimated by the europeans and the only reason they didn t develop immunities
was because of geography. The incans were decimated by geography and because they were dealt a
bad hand by the world they never got to truly

Importance Of Animal Use For Entertainment
The third reason that humans use animals is for entertainment. Animal circuses, aquariums, zoos,
bullfighting, and dog fighting are examples of using animals for enjoyment. There has always been a
conflict whether it is ethical to keep animals in captivity and away from their natural habitat just for
fun. Humans started using animals for amusement since the ancient years. Even though the previous
generations methods were more deadly and cruel, the same concept of animal use for entertainment is
still applied. Kate Good, a famous author and animal activist, states in her article Five Cruel Methods
Used to Train Animals That Will Make You Skip the Next Animal Show in No Time: When you stop
looking at these attractions as an opportunity for you to see the animals you love, and see them for the
profit driven businesses they truly are, the discrepancies between good intentions and cruel action
becomes apparent. People visit the entertainment centers because they love animals without knowing
why the animals act the way they do. The crowd applauses when an elephant rides a tricycle, when a
cat jumps through multiple burning rings, when bears play soccer, or when dolphins draw Christmas
trees. Do these animals understand what they are doing? Are they doing what they are doing because
they enjoy it? No, evidence has revealed that animals go through a cruel process, also known as
PHAJAAN, since their infancies to be trained for these humane activities for the public.

Schizophrenic Childhood
Schizophrenia is a frightening, long term brain disorder that forces a person to think abnormally.
Schizophrenic individuals believe that other people can read their minds, and also suffer from
imaginary images in their minds and believe that they are real. Schizophrenic individuals hear voices
in their minds and believe that others are trying to harm them. Throughout my childhood, I
experienced an abnormal life because my dad was diagnosed with schizophrenia when I was around
six years old. Because there is no cure for schizophrenia, only treatment by medication and therapies, I
would like to help solve the problems that children face growing up with a schizophrenic guardian.
I only remember little about my dad since I was so young, I know

Fake News
Should Journalists be Held Responsible for Fake News? Today, technology and the media are unlike
anything anyone could have ever imagined fifty years ago. In 2017, technology is defined by the user
and how it can change lives for the better. With new advancements in medicine, allowing for increased
lifespans, AI is making the roads safer to drive on and making menial and advanced jobs routine and
unmanned. People today also have a connection around the globe. The internet lets everybody peer
into history, current news, how other cultures live and gives them the ability to connect with friends,
relatives, and strangers that they may not have ever talked to. Today, there are several social media
providers to use to connect with others, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
So, I believe there is a great deal we can do now to help these young people know the facts about us
and our way of life.It will not involve large sums of money to do the job, but it will require
understanding, effort and hard work. (Kennedy, 1962). Mr. Kennedy was unequivocally adamant
about helping people get along and seeing through their differences, especially culturally. Even though
this was some time ago, the same is clear today, people need the truth and not a facsimile. The current
media options are littered with untruthful articles and deceptive videos or memes. Ad companies are
paying premiums to social media sites and videographers for space on a trafficked site or video,
encouraging media companies to keep the ads and articles coming. The community suffers from this
as a whole and should encourage consideration and respect for their fellow men and women. A media
outlet that allows such posts to continually deceive rather than contribute to their knowledge is a
problem too. All people and companies of all nations should want to contribute to and help better the
world for future generations, as well as for themselves.
This problem is a new one and the majority of people that have been raised with this type of media are
accustomed to it and notice no problems with the platform, as is. Countless people would argue that

Marketing Plan Pricing Strategy and Channel Distribution for the Note Phone 1. Determine and

is related to product positioning and furthermore, pricing affects other marketing mix elements such as

The Robber Bridegroom Short Story
oth The Robber Bridegroom and The Trespasser are revised from its original versions. The novel of
The Robber Bridegroom by Welty is based on the Brothers Grimm fairy tale. In Campbell s short story
The Trespasser draws from the tale of Goldilocks and The Three Bears which was originated by the
Robert Southey. In each work, there are similarities as well as changes that are made for significant
reasons all related to folklore in which the context changes to better suit the audience. There are of
course simple differences between Grimm and Welty s portrayals of The Robber Bridegroom. One
inconsistency is that Rosamund in Welty s book is the daughter of a planter and in the other version
the daughter of a miller. Although they are similar in plot as she must marry a rich man; whom she
doesn t know much about then follows him into the woods where she is either threatened to be killed
or kept as a servant. There are more complex changes within the two Robber Bridegroom stories. In
the Grimm version, the bride is seen as a helpless pawn. They story piles together foreshadowing
signs of meetings with the bridegroom and the annihilation of the body, and the witnessing of the
terrible fate of the substitute bride. There is also a difference in each ending in reference to the robber
s fate. In Grimm s version, the robber is outed by the presence if the finger from Rosamund s pocket
and then executed for his wicked deeds. While in Welty s version the story ends in marriage, with

Similarities Between The Declaration Of The Rights Of Man...
The Declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizen was written in 1789, following the gory French
Revolution. In a similar setting, the United Declaration of Human Rights was written in 1948 in a
direct reaction to the horrors of World War II. Both of these documents were motivated by experiences
of extreme tyranny and carnage, and were created to recognize the fundamental freedom and rights of
the individual. Their goal was to establish a basic guideline of ethics; for France this was for their
country and government, but for the United Nations, their objective was to encompass the entire
world. It was hoped that these declarations would bring about peace within an individual nation, but
also promote cordial relations between all nations. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These differences are both warranted when considering the times in which these declaration were
made. After coming out of such traumatic experiences, both parties wanted to create a society of
equality and build a basic structure of the rights of man. This was something that in both situations
had been previously taken for granted, but could now be acknowledged and used to hold individuals
and governments accountable. The two declarations are very similar in their purpose, they advocate
for the rights and freedoms of man, and establish a set of laws that must be followed in order to create
a society of peace, equality, justice and individual freedom. Both acknowledge that when these
fundamental rights are ignored the world has suffered brutal and inhuman

Questions On Simple Symmetric Protocol
Simple Symmetric Protocol Alice may choose to use the simple symmetric protocol. It requires that
Alice and Bob establish a secret key with which the location can be encrypted. The two need to
somehow agree upon the secret key in a secure manner like in a private conversation, for example.
The steps to accommodate a secure exchange using a simple symmetric system would be: 1. Alice
would type the witness location into a simple text file using an editor. 2. Alice would use the Rijndael
cipher from the JCE to scramble the text file using the secret key agreed upon with Bob. 3. Alice
would send the output of step 2 to Bob using email. 4. Bob reads his email, expecting a scrambled bit
of text from Alice, and uses his JCE decryption Java program to descramble the text using the secret
key agreed upon with Alice. Bob would now have the location of the witness. Simple Asymmetric
Protocol In the previous situation Alice and Bob needed to agree upon a secret key for their secure
communication in person. However, in most circumstances it is not possible to establish the secret
key. In fact, since Alice and Bob live in different countries it is unlikely that physically meeting up
with one another is feasible. In these situations asymmetric or public key systems excel. A public key
system works in the following manner: Alice and Bob each have two keys, one of which is secret to
themselves and the other which is publicly known. The publicly known key is registered with a trusted

The Black Death
Black death was one of few diseases which cause traumatizing effect on the European society during
the Middle Ages and that impact urged the Europeans to make a revolutionary progress in their lives
and medicine. During the Middle Ages, the Black Death has impacted Europe by killing off the
majority population that Europe originally possessed. The doctor at the time were working off their
minds trying to find an anecdote for such brutal disease but has never have found a cure. People at the
time relied on religion in the hope that God would mercy them from this terrible punishment. People
after the back death were able to realize the fact that their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These factors lead into the research question of this essay, how did the Black Death during the middle
ages affect how the usage of medicine changed at the time?
First, I will introduce the Middle Ages society and its functioning. First of all, a Middle Ages society
is one very unique because they have the feudal system introduced to by the Norman conqueror
William in 1066 and he was able to develop the feudal system and became widely used in Europe.
This is one of the key points why there were many kingdoms in the continent of Europe because they
are capable of self supporting and was able to keep the manor system stable and have their own
economic system. Now, the manor system works like this: the king or the ruler is the highest class of
all and owns the land of the entire kingdom and the king gave land and protection for military service,
labor, and loyalty. The nobles, whom was given land by the king and that they own everything one the
land given to them and promises that they will in return offer the king loyalty and service. The vassals
are the ones who were given land by the nobles in exchange for service and loyalty. The knights, who
are usually a member of the noble family who is trained to

How Charles Dickens Portrays the Murder of Nancy in Oliver Twist
Oliver Twist was written by Charles Dickens. He was born on February 7th 1812in Landport which is
situated in Portsmouth, England. He worked in a blacking factory where shoe polish is produced and
Dickens job was to paste labels to the bottles of polish. The working conditions then were dreadfully
poor, He was doing this job when he was 12 years old which meant that in those days children had
little childhood where they can have fun like nowadays. This was the same age when Oliver worked in
the workhouse and because Dickens had experienced working in poor conditions when he was young

Ethical Issues with the Ncaa
There are several ethical issues in the news lately about the treatment college athletes are receiving
compared to the non athletic students of universities. Is the practice of favoring athletes and bending
the rules in the favor of universities to enable the best college sports stars to play ethical? Two major
ethical issues that have been in the public eye as of late is cheating and grade tampering, and
recruiting tactics. Both of these actions are unethical, but it still isn t stopping universities around the
country to discontinue in these manners. Cheating and grade tampering is not allowed in any way for a
normal student of a university. Why are teachers and administrators helping and giving alternate
academic options to athletes? ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I don t know many guys my age who could refuse that situation. But in reality, those recruiting tactics
are not morally correct. Not only is it not fair to other schools looking for their next sports star, but
athletes will be coming to a university for all the wrong reasons. In conclusion, it is a fact that athletes,
especially at larger universities across the country get special treatment in regards to academic issues
and lifestyle. Universities will go to any extent to protect their players from being academically
ineligible to play, and seems they will do anything to get the best recruits in the country to give their
team an advantage. It is hard for the NCAA to enforce strict rules, especially academically because
schools have academic freedom which enables universities to make their own classroom policies. The
NCAA asks, If a certain institution permits grade changes for students up through and even after the
final exam, how do you hold athletes to a different standard? In reality, it is almost impossible to hold
athletes to a different standard, and as long as this loop hole exists, colleges will be using any method
enticing athletes to come to their school and continue to play through their college career, regardless
of their academic status. It is unethical, but until NCAA rules change, who can dictate these
procedures are not allowed?

Influence Of Puritan Writing On Colonial Society
Puritans were an important religious, social and political group which helped form the opinions,
values and direction of the early American colonists. Thus, affecting the formation of our country.
Among the most influential and prolific Puritan writers was William Bradford who impacted Colonial
values and thinking. Puritan writers not only stirred the ideology of the people of the time but were
important historians. The puritan style of writing was simple, logical and pongnant. Carefully selected
words and sentences that directly addressed the issues and concerns at hand in a clear concise style.
The purpose of Puritan writing was to influence and govern the colonists; providing instruction on

Explain the importance of the outsider in the novel Of Mice and Men An outsider is someone who is
not accepted or is isolated from society. Of Mice and Men is set in the 1930 s, where society
considered many people as outsiders. During this period, many people were racist, sexist and
prejudice towards disabled people. This is shown with several characters in the novel including
Crooks, Curly s wife and Candy who are all considered as outsiders in this novel, since they each had
something that the society at that time were prejudice towards. In the 1930 s black people were highly

She dresses like this since she knows her beauty is her only power in this society and is they only way
to get attention, which she doesn t get form Curly. However, by trying to get the attention of other
men, she steps outside her role as a married women, and this is probably why she is often called a
tramp or a tart . Straight away George senses that she is trouble and says You keep away from her,
cause she s a rattrap if I ever seen one. George knows that Curly would be very angry if he caught one
of the men flirting back with her, but not because he is jealous but because he see s his wife as his

Just like Crooks, since she is an outsider, Curly s wife is looking for constantly looking for company

Bp ( British Petroleum )
BP (British Petroleum) was founded well over a century ago by William D Arcy who invested his
savings in the hunt for oil in the Middle East. After several years of drilling, D Arcy s money and
patience were about to run out, when oil was found about 1,200 feet down. This changed the outlook
for the company and D Arcy became a rich man (Thorne, p. 587 2014). Because of the difficulty in
trying to drill for oil in this undeveloped land, by 1914 BP was almost bankrupt again. The company
had oil, but no one to sell to. Because of the insistence of Winston Churchill, the oil would be used by
the British Navy, which stared the debate over the repercussions of involving politics in the oil
industry. This debate has continued through present day wars (Thorne, p. 587 2014). The twenty first
century saw a tremendous growth in the oil industry, as well as a power shift in the Middle East. This
directly affected BP because the import taxes of oil were raised by Libyan leader Miammar al Gaddafi
and spread to oil rich Middle East countries. Because of this, BP s survival was contingent on finding
other places to dig for oil. The Forties Field off the coast of Scotland and Prudhoe Bay Alaska were
tapped, and became BP s best sites. It was a challenge for their engineers because transportation of the
oil became a problem. Because of this we saw the development of the largest deepwater pipeline ever
constructed. BP did extensive test to assure the public that this new pipeline

Victims Receive Restitution
There are several reasons that victims are not receiving restitution. However, the primary reason is
that a significant number of crimes are not reported. Nevertheless, other factors must also be
considered, such as offenders not being caught or convicted and victims not going through with
prosecution. Apparently, if these factors are eliminated, victims would receive reimbursements, not to
mention more criminals would be off the streets (Karmen, 2010). Unfortunately, a lessened degree of
knowledge by victims regarding the different programs available is an issue. Nevertheless, a lack of

Using A Spinning Centrifuge On Earth
gradually heating the ship and leading to a host of mechanical issues that could have an effect the
steering, spinning, or integrity of the ship itself. This theoretical example was actually tested to see the
effects of simulating gravity for humans through use of a spinning centrifuge on Earth. The
experiment s design was to determine whether or not the subjects would develop an symptoms of
AMS or acute motion sickness. (Antonutto, 1992) The researchers discovered that none of the subjects
developed any symptoms as a result of the substitution of centripetal force for gravitational force.
(Antonutto, 1992) This gives a lot of hope for that method of combatting muscular atrophy, spinal disk
elongation, and the other previously mentioned effects, but this seems very resource intensive to
implement on all future designs, there is also very low practicality in this design. Every portion of the
ship would need to be build orientated along the interior curve of the ship. This would be very
disorientating for taking off and landing with proper orientation to the ground. There is another
method of ensuring an astronaut s simulation of gravity to prevent the reversible side effects of
weightlessness. Instead of making the entire vessel emulate gravity through centripetal force, there is
available technology that can create a force to act on the individual. It is an exercise method and
accompanying apparatus that claims to reduce muscular atrophy and loss of bone density more

American Apparel s Internal Communication Essay
INTRODUCTION Background On July 4th, 2014, American Apparel experienced a crisis on its
Tumblr account. An international social media employee accidentally posted an offensive photo of the
Challenger Space Shuttle Disaster. This resulted in negative feedback from the online community,
which caused the photo to be immediately removed. A quick apology was provided on behalf of
American Apparel to maintain public relations; however, the company s reputation still needs to be
assessed. Purpose The purpose of this report is to explore the American Apparel Tumblr controversy,
determine what caused the internal communication failure, evaluate the approaches that American
Apparel used to handle the situation, and decide if American Apparel has recovered from any
damages. Recommendations will be provided to prevent future online failures. The report is unlimited
to budget constraints; thus, recommendations have been developed based on this notion. Scope The
focus of this report is on American Apparel s internal communications regarding: (1) Upward
communication and (2) Horizontal communication. External communication will also be examined
such as: (1) Hashtags used to publish the photo, (2) Online feedback on the image, (3) Online apology
to stakeholders, and (4) Feedback on the apology. Sources and Methods Secondary sources used in
this report were established between 2014 and 2015. Reputable business news articles were consulted

Aboriginal Education Issues
In this essay we will try to provide a brief overview of educational issues of Aboriginal communities
in Australia and Victoria and the elements that influence the educational outcomes of young
Aboriginal people, such as culture and contemporary challenges. In addition to this, the inclusion of
Aboriginal content in the Victorian curriculum and classroom practices will be explored as well as
contemporary government policies.
Individuals with higher levels of education tend to have better health, greater social engagement,
longer life expectancy and they generally feel happier (OECD 2013). Throughout the Australian
history, Aboriginal communities were deprived of basic human rights which resulted in poor quality of

Australian government today recognises that educational policies regarding Aboriginal people cannot

Aboriginal communities in general (TICHR, 2006). Main contemporary issues facing Aboriginal
communities are proving land ownership, remoteness, health status, education and employment status
and social attitude of Non Aboriginal population towards the Aboriginal communities (Challenges
facing the Indigenous communities today, n.d.). Tackling this issue is not a simple task: the document
National Indigenous Reform Agreement (2010) which aims to improve outcomes for all Indigenous

The Role Of Community In African And Middle Eastern...
Literature is defined as, writings in prose or verse; especially : writings having excellence of form or
expression and expressing ideas of permanent or universal interest (Merriam Webster). In both African
and Middle Eastern literature, there is an overlap in theme, motif, and ideas. There is an awareness of
community over oneself present in both forms of literature. The role of women in both societies is
viewed as one of a lesser importance than the male presence. A discrepancy in the similarity between
Middle Eastern and African literature is the presence of a mystical unexplainable presence in African
literature. The presence of community and its role is presented in both African and Middle Eastern
literature. These themes can be seen a variety of times in both pieces of literature. In The Beekeeper s
Journey the idea of inclusivity and community is presented as the author writes, He could not fire a
rifle with accuracy, he could not use a blade with any skill, and he knew nothing about fighting, so he
would die... (The Beekeeper s Journey 8). In this Abbas (The main character of the story) is so
committed to a sense of duty that he is willing to die for his community. Through this connection to
his community, he is knowingly entering a battle with the knowledge that he will die. Thus furthering
the idea of community over oneself in this story and many others that fall into the same genre of
Middle Eastern literature. A piece of African literature that

The Value Of The Balance Sheet
The main purpose of the balance sheet is to reflect and explain the accounting equation: Assets =
Liabilities + Owner s Equity. This equation is the fundamental model for recording and reporting
transactions. It is essentially useful for showing what the company owns, what the company owes, and
what does the owner s equity remains. The ordering of the assets and the liabilities help the user to
assess the liquidity of the company. For our purpose focusing on Walt Disney World, we are primarily
focused on their assets and liabilities. In analyzing the balance sheet of our company, we will explain
each aspects of the balance sheet in three separate parts.
To understand how the total assets changed within a year, we shall look at each aspects of the assets.
In the cash and cash equivalent, we have seen that the cash in hand decreased in 2013 from $3,931 to
$3,421 in 2014. This shall shows that the company may have spent cash on inventories and other
goods for the benefit of the company. In the receivables aspect, the amount of receivables has begun to
increase from 2013 to 2014 with an increase rate of 11.6%. In other terms, it increased from $6,967 in
2013 to $7,822 in 2014. This was an infinitesimal increase and it shows that the company had a lot of
companies owing them for the purchase of the Walt Disney Products and land usage. Another way of
saying is that other companies may be purchasing land from Disney to sell their products and expand
their companies to wider

West Broadway, Or `` D Street ``
West Broadway, or D Street , is a state sponsored housing development in South Boston,
Massachusetts, whose history is plagued by delinquency, violence, and death. Constructed in 1949, on
a newly acquired 25 acre plot in Southie s Lower End , West Broadway Housing Development was to
serve as temporary housing for veterans of the World Wars. By the early 1970s, however, the
development would be 972 apartments for low income families, and would be known as the worst
type of lower class welfare housing. Built on South Boston s solid, naturally formed land, as opposed
to the neighborhood s man made areas, coupled with its proximity to the downtown district, D Street

As Michael Patrick McDonald contends, South Bostonians think of Southie as the best place in the
world , and there is a silence that consumes the residents when it comes to discussing the woes of the
past. And in such a physically and culturally secluded area of the City of Boston, it is unlikely that
anything the citizens are not willing to discuss would be otherwise recorded. In speaking of lost
history, it is important to question the history far beyond the past 60 years. It is widely known that
Native Americans inhabited the Boston dating back 6,000 years. Nonetheless, many of their artifacts
have been lost over the years. However, over the past two years, Native American artifacts have been
discovered in the Andrew Square section of South Boston, not far from D Street. While it is likely that
most artifacts are lost forever because of the disregard for the area during development in the 1950s,
further exploration may be able to call attention to a distant history. Andrew Square too went through
radical development throughout the 20th century with no mention of Native American presence, and I
have not personally come across any literature concerning Indian history in relation to South Boston

Illegal Immigrants Should Be Illegal
Research Paper
In the world today, Ten to thirteen million illegal immigrants live in America (Watkins). According to
the recent study, The Percentage of immigrants living in the U.S.A. is almost fourteen percent
(Wooldridge). This problem is an issue to the U.S. and will be an issue to all of the nations including
europe, asia, etcetera. if it is not fixed. Reason is that the immigrants get more government help or
welfare some may call it, than the registered citizens of America. Studies show that 51 percent of
homes led by immigrants are getting some kind of government help (Gomez). When there is help able
to use then it should be used by the citizens of that country. All immigration needs to be controlled so
anything tragic won t happen anymore.
Immigration needs to be illegal because most of the Illegal immigrants don t pay taxes and get
government help. Studies from Washington times show that 700,000 illegal immigrants work and pay
individual taxes but there are about four million that do not pay taxes or work (stephen). In the world
today, Illegal immigrants have not paid taxes and it has added up to a little over four billion dollars
(North). This is a problem and needs to be fixed, as immigrants are living here for free basically. For
example, If the Immigrants paid income taxes the U.S.A. would bring in a lot more revenue
(Hrenchir). if they did pay taxes the U.S. would not have a problem with them. Immigrants steal jobs

Gulliver s Travels By Johnathan Swift
Gulliver s Travels is a travel book written by Johnathan Swift. Gulliver s Travel was published in
1726. Johnathan Swift is a satirist. A satirist is a writer who uses humor, irony, or ridicule to expose
and criticize people s stupidity. Swift goes on a journey throughout the boo. During the journey,
Johnathan exploits human flaws in his travel book. Gulliver travels into four imaginary lands. Each of
the four books provide social and political commentary. Swift created this book to get a buzz. Swift
swaps the roles of animals and humans. Horses, or the Houyhnhnms, have the ability to reason, but
lack the ability to show emotion. These animals are organized and intelligent. They live freely and are
not confined. On the other hand, the Yahoos have the outer appearance of humans, but are ignorant.
The Yahoos have a confined living space and lack their ability to reason. Swift chose to twist the roles
of these figures to show the evident flaws of humans. One major theme in Gulliver s Travels is human
flaw. Humans are very ignorant, selfish, and jealous. Swift makes it very apparent that humans are
chaotic beings. In Gulliver s Travels, Swift takes away the one trait that humans abuse. Humans have
the ability to reason. Although humans have the ability to reason, this ability is not always used for
good. Swift wants the human society to recognize their ways and work to be better. Instead, of society
being competitive and petty, it is important for society to work together as.

Population aging has been a global issue. According to the United Nations statistics, population aging
is occurring throughout the world. In 2015, there are 901 million people aged 60 or over, comprising
12% of the global population. The population aged 60 or above is growing at a rate of 3.26% per year.
It is projected that by 2050, the global population of all major areas of the world except Africa will
have nearly a quarter or more of their populations aged 60 or over. [37]
Population aging can be expected to have far reaching economic, social and political implications, and
many governments are consider increasing the statutory ages at retirement in an effort to prolong the

The Health Care Is An Expensive Industry Essay
The health care is an expensive industry, however it plays a significant role in the lives of many. As
we continues to find the best way possible to decrease avoidable medical errors and techniques that
decreases fraudulent activities, together we can build an industry that is rather effective and at a lower
cost. Up coding is a burden in health care and should be a concern to everyone. It has significant
budgetary impact and affects everyone from government officials, taxpayers, insurers, and even
premiums payers. Dishonest health care professionals who exploit Federal health care programs for
illegal personal gain can result in overpayments that raise Medicare premium and weaken Medicare s
Finances. Most relies on health care profession to submit accurate claims when requesting payment
for reimbursement for Medicare covered healthcare equipment s and services. The failure to
accurately do so can have negative health ramifications for both patients the Federal Government. Up
coding has created the need for laws that can combat fraud abuse and ensure appropriate quality
medical care. The HCFA had a major responsibility that they failed to accomplish. The investigating
team from the case study noticed two major concerns, the hospitals system has significant
vulnerabilities to upcoding that can easily be avoided and also found that, despite these vulnerabilities,
Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) is not performing routine, ongoing monitoring and

This concert series basically features two programs with Holst s The Planets being performed during
the end of the second program, which also includes Adams Short Ride in a Fast Machine, Offenbach s
Ballet of the Snowflakes from Le Voyage dans la lune and Josef Strauss s Music of the Spheres (New

The Impact Of Franz Ferdinand s Assassination On World War I
In 1914 Gavrilo Princip, a member of the Serbian Black Hand, assassinated Archduke Franz
Ferdinand, heir to the Austro Hungarian Empire, instigating an immediate cause of World War I. As
the third largest European power by area, the Empire was a powerful presence leading up to World
War I, with a population of over fifty million people and an army of 400,000 soldiers. The conflicts
among European powers and the disorder in the Balkans in the 19th and 20th centuries led to a
situation in which Franz Ferdinand s assassination proved to be the tipping point in the fragile
relationship between Austria Hungary and the South Slav nationalities that threatened the Empire both
internally and externally. His death caused a costly war in terms of both lives and the economy in the
South Slav region and further undermined the stability of Serbia. Princip assassinated the heir to the
throne in an attempt to spark a revolution that would result in Slavic independence from Austria
Hungary. However, before his death, Franz Ferdinand supported economic development for Slavs
within the Austro Hungarian Empire and favored more equal measures toward the South Slav
nationalities. Thus, Franz Ferdinand had served as a roadblock to the extreme militant wing within
Austria Hungary. With the assassination of Franz Ferdinand, Serbian extremists damaged the
opportunity for more moderate Slavic peoples within Austria Hungary to achieve greater autonomy
under Austro Hungarian rule since Ferdinand

[3] The music of the 1960 s was a way for the people to experience a new freedom, and in most cases
to see beyond the world around drugs was a necessity to see the true reality. Musicians saw
themselves as a tool to open people up to what they believed was the reality of the time. They were the
means or channel through which their audience passes from ignorance to knowledge, from ordinary
consciousness to ecstasy, from control and inhibition to revolt and freedom (Goldman 361). It was this
path that eventually leads many individuals into the dark and treacherous world of substance abuse.
The Sixties was a time of experimentation, and many people used drugs as a tool for temporary
experimentation, but other were pioneers that sought ultimate knowledge. Those pioneers, who sought

But though she doesn t know it, she will come to show bravery in a different way later on. Until then
however she doubts herself and is weary, But without a plan Dede s courage unraveled like a row of
stitches not finished with a good, sturdy knot. (Alvarez, 168) This means that Dede has courage but is
unable to keep it for long. This also means that her courage is unpredictable, at one point it may be
strong, but then the slightest thing is enough to topple it. Later in the book however, she fights it, Dede
could not run away. Courage! It was the first time she had used that word to herself and understood
exactly what it meant. (Alvarez, 441) Dede triumphantly thinks this to herself after she contemplates
letting go of her sanity, before the SIM destroyed all that she loved. This is one of Dede s few
moments where she sticks up for herself (even if she s only warring with her own mind), but this still
isn t the main way she shows courage. The focal point of how Dede exhibits bravery is enduring life
alone after her sisters deaths, and carrying on to spread their

The United States And Australia
The United States and Australia are both industrialized countries with both English speaking
populations with challenges of providing health care coverage. Differences and similarities can be
found in both countries with regards to the health care system. Both have government programs such
as Medicare that is designed for the population in different circumstances, and both populations use
private insurance. With the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, the United States is attempting

Medicare, Australia s national public health insurance, provides universal health coverage for citizens
and permanent residents in addition to people with temporary visas from countries with which
Australia has reciprocal arrangements. Medicare covers inpatient care in public hospitals for free or
subsidized access to comprehensive medical services (Mossialos et al., 2015). Citizens may choose to
buy private insurance to cover more health care options and to cover items not covered under
Medicare for example ambulance services. Medicare gives Australian residents access to health care
and is partly funded by taxpayers who pay a Medicare levy of 2.0% of their taxable income (Ato,
n.d.). The first contact with health services one may need would involve a visit to a general
practitioner, who may refer the patient to a specialist, diagnostic testing, medication for the need to in
a public hospital. Australia s health care system involves public and private providers. The
government funds the public hospitals, whereas those in the private sector operate the private
hospitals. As of June 2014 over 47% of the population had private health insurance (PHIAC, 2014).
The public perception of the Australian medical system is generally positive and strongly favors a
universal public health system funded by the public (Hardie Critchley, 2008). In the United States the
passing of the Affordable Care Act of 2010, established the

The Overuse Of Antibiotics And Antibiotics
The overuse of antibiotics has been a problem for well over a decade. This misuse leads to many
nonvisible problems arising within the human population. As the use of antibiotics increases, the
number of antibiotic resistant bacteria also increases. When bacteria become resistant to an antibiotic,
another antibiotic must be used to try and kill it and the cycle becomes vicious. Michael Martin, Sapna
Thottathil, and Thomas Newman stated that antimicrobial resistance is, an increasingly serious threat
to global public health that requires action across all government sectors and society (2409).
Take for example MRSA (Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus), a S. aureus strain that was
discovered in 1961 to be resistant to the antibiotic methicillin. Webmd indicates that MRSA has now
grown its resistance from methicillin to amoxicillin, penicillin, oxacillin and many other common
antibiotics (MRSA). This increase in resistance of a methicillin resistant strain of S. aureus can be
attributed to the increasing use and overuse of antibiotics, not only in the doctor s office but also in
agriculture. MRSA is only one of many antibiotic resistant strains of bacteria. New resistant strains are
evolving rapidly. According to Dr. Ed Warren, there are high levels of antibiotic resistance in bacteria
causing common infections (e.g. urinary tract infections, pneumonia, bloodstream infections) in all
regions of the world (21).
In agriculture, overuse begins with nontherapeutic

Animal circuses, aquariums, zoos, bullfighting, and dog fighting are examples of using animals for enjoyment. There has always been a conflict whether it is ethical to keep animals in captivity and away from their natural habitat just for fun. Humans started using animals for amusement since the ancient years. Even though the previous generations methods were more deadly and cruel, the same concept of animal use for entertainment is still applied. Kate Good, a famous author and animal activist, states in her article Five Cruel Methods Used to Train Animals That Will Make You Skip the Next Animal Show in No Time: When you stop looking at these attractions as an opportunity for you to see the animals you love, and see them for the profit driven businesses they truly are, the discrepancies between good intentions and cruel action becomes apparent. People visit the entertainment centers because they love animals without knowing why the animals act the way they do. The crowd applauses when an elephant rides a tricycle, when a cat jumps through multiple burning rings, when bears play soccer, or when dolphins draw Christmas trees. Do these animals understand what they are doing? Are they doing what they are doing because they enjoy it? The novel of The Robber Bridegroom by Welty is based on the Brothers Grimm fairy tale. In Campbell s short story The Trespasser draws from the tale of Goldilocks and The Three Bears which was originated by the Robert Southey. In each work, there are similarities as well as changes that are made for significant reasons all related to folklore in which the context changes to better suit the audience. There are of course simple differences between Grimm and Welty s portrayals of The Robber Bridegroom. One inconsistency is that Rosamund in Welty s book is the daughter of a planter and in the other version the daughter of a miller. Although they are similar in plot as she must marry a rich man; whom she doesn t know much about then follows him into the woods where she is either threatened to be killed or kept as a servant. There are more complex changes within the two Robber Bridegroom stories. In the Grimm version, the bride is seen as a helpless pawn. They story piles together foreshadowing signs of meetings with the bridegroom and the annihilation of the body, and the witnessing of the terrible fate of the substitute bride. There is also a difference in each ending in reference to the robber s fate. In Grimm s version, the robber is outed by the presence if the finger from Rosamund s pocket and then executed for his wicked deeds. While in Welty s version the story ends in marriage, with ... It requires that Alice and Bob establish a secret key with which the location can be encrypted. The two need to somehow agree upon the secret key in a secure manner like in a private conversation, for example. The steps to accommodate a secure exchange using a simple symmetric system would be: 1. Alice would type the witness location into a simple text file using an editor. 2. Alice would use the Rijndael cipher from the JCE to scramble the text file using the secret key agreed upon with Bob. 3. Alice would send the output of step 2 to Bob using email. 4. After several years of drilling, D Arcy s money and patience were about to run out, when oil was found about 1,200 feet down. This changed the outlook for the company and D Arcy became a rich man (Thorne, p. 587 2014). Because of the difficulty in trying to drill for oil in this undeveloped land, by 1914 BP was almost bankrupt again. The company had oil, but no one to sell to. Because of the insistence of Winston Churchill, the oil would be used by the British Navy, which stared the debate over the repercussions of involving politics in the oil industry. This debate has continued through present day wars (Thorne, p. 587 2014). The twenty first century saw a tremendous growth in the oil industry, as well as a power shift in the Middle East. This directly affected BP because the import taxes of oil were raised by Libyan leader Miammar al Gaddafi and spread to oil rich Middle East countries. Because of this, BP s survival was contingent on finding other places to dig for oil. The Forties Field off the coast of Scotland and Prudhoe Bay Alaska were tapped, and became BP s best sites. • 25. The Role Of Community In African And Middle Eastern... Literature is defined as, writings in prose or verse; especially : writings having excellence of form or expression and expressing ideas of permanent or universal interest (Merriam Webster). In both African and Middle Eastern literature, there is an overlap in theme, motif, and ideas. There is an awareness of community over oneself present in both forms of literature. The role of women in both societies is viewed as one of a lesser importance than the male presence. A discrepancy in the similarity between Middle Eastern and African literature is the presence of a mystical unexplainable presence in African literature. The presence of community and its role is presented in both African and Middle Eastern literature. These themes can be seen a variety of times in both pieces of literature. In The Beekeeper s Journey the idea of inclusivity and community is presented as the author writes, He could not fire a rifle with accuracy, he could not use a blade with any skill, and he knew nothing about fighting, so he would die... (The Beekeeper s Journey 8). In this Abbas (The main character of the story) is so committed to a sense of duty that he is willing to die for his community. Through this connection to his community, he is knowingly entering a battle with the knowledge that he will die. Thus furthering the idea of community over oneself in this story and many others that fall into the same genre of Middle Eastern literature. A piece of African literature that ... This problem is an issue to the U.S. and will be an issue to all of the nations including europe, asia, etcetera. if it is not fixed. Reason is that the immigrants get more government help or welfare some may call it, than the registered citizens of America. Studies show that 51 percent of homes led by immigrants are getting some kind of government help (Gomez). When there is help able to use then it should be used by the citizens of that country. These animals are organized and intelligent. They live freely and are not confined. On the other hand, the Yahoos have the outer appearance of humans, but are ignorant. The Yahoos have a confined living space and lack their ability to reason. Swift chose to twist the roles of these figures to show the evident flaws of humans. One major theme in Gulliver s Travels is human flaw. Humans are very ignorant, selfish, and jealous. Swift makes it very apparent that humans are chaotic beings. In Gulliver s Travels, Swift takes away the one trait that humans abuse. Humans have the ability to reason. Although humans have the ability to reason, this ability is not always used for good. As the third largest European power by area, the Empire was a powerful presence leading up to World War I, with a population of over fifty million people and an army of 400,000 soldiers. The conflicts among European powers and the disorder in the Balkans in the 19th and 20th centuries led to a situation in which Franz Ferdinand s assassination proved to be the tipping point in the fragile relationship between Austria Hungary and the South Slav nationalities that threatened the Empire both internally and externally. His death caused a costly war in terms of both lives and the economy in the South Slav region and further undermined the stability of Serbia. The first contact with health services one may need would involve a visit to a general practitioner, who may refer the patient to a specialist, diagnostic testing, medication for the need to in a public hospital. Australia s health care system involves public and private providers. The government funds the public hospitals, whereas those in the private sector operate the private hospitals. As of June 2014 over 47% of the population had private health insurance (PHIAC, 2014). The public perception of the Australian medical system is generally positive and strongly favors a universal public health system funded by the public (Hardie Critchley, 2008). • 46. The Overuse Of Antibiotics And Antibiotics The overuse of antibiotics has been a problem for well over a decade. This misuse leads to many nonvisible problems arising within the human population. As the use of antibiotics increases, the number of antibiotic resistant bacteria also increases. When bacteria become resistant to an antibiotic, another antibiotic must be used to try and kill it and the cycle becomes vicious. Michael Martin, Sapna Thottathil, and Thomas Newman stated that antimicrobial resistance is, an increasingly serious threat to global public health that requires action across all government sectors and society (2409). Take for example MRSA (Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus), a S. aureus strain that was discovered in 1961 to be resistant to the antibiotic methicillin. Webmd indicates that MRSA has now grown its resistance from methicillin to amoxicillin, penicillin, oxacillin and many other common antibiotics (MRSA). This increase in resistance of a methicillin resistant strain of S. aureus can be attributed to the increasing use and overuse of antibiotics, not only in the doctor s office but also in agriculture. MRSA is only one of many antibiotic resistant strains of bacteria. New resistant strains are evolving rapidly. According to Dr. Ed Warren, there are high levels of antibiotic resistance in bacteria causing common infections (e.g. urinary tract infections, pneumonia, bloodstream infections) in all regions of the world (21). In agriculture, overuse begins with nontherapeutic ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
