Geospatial Mapping
Policy transformation and technology innovation can strategically create social environment that are
void of health disparities. Health should be a reality for everyone regardless of physical, social, and
economic conditions. Spatial analysis offers insight as to the ways in which one s socioeconomic
status impacts their health and wellbeing. Geospatial mapping can reveal the impact of society as a
whole on health inequalities
The Master of Geospatial Public Health Analysis degree program, offered by the Johns Hopkins
Bloomberg School of Public Health, provides the tools needed to thoroughly analyze our world s
problems. Spatial analysis provides a cornerstone for both evolution and progress in the field of public
health. A map s ability

Elizabethan Era of Music Culture Essay
The music was played very often as a normal routine. People considered it a must to know how to
play an instrument, sing, or be involved somehow with music in this age of time. Instruments in the
1600 s were able to make any type of music; the amazing part was no matter how many instruments
you used it would always sound pure and the same. Another unique thing about the music and culture
in the 1600 s is that it was also healthy for the body. During the Elizabethan Era the people would
gather together to dance and dance for hours, their stamina must have been incredible. Music was use
to entertain most people. Before the music became a big part in people life during the Elizabethan Era
theatre played a really big part during this time. It ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Did you know at times you would be dancing with a complete stranger and you could ve been lucky
enough to meet your dance partners, this made dancing all the more exciting in the Elizabethan Era
time period. Not only did the people love to dance but they would dance for hours and hours a day. I
love to dance but I could imagine how tired I would be after so many hours of dancing. We had two
people to visit our school and what I learned about the women were that no matter what you would
have great posture, reasons being is because they wore this body brace what we call girdles in this age
of time. What the body brace would do is automatically sit the women up at all times. Even if women
so much bend over it could break your ribs. They also told us about the theatre and how they would
practice the stunts they do in most of the drama and actions plays. What many people didn t know was
that the person performing the stunts did very little movements and the person who the stunts was
performed on did most of the work to make the stunt seem so real. All of Shakespeare plays were not
very popular in that period of time like they are now and it s amazing because most things they did we
thought were weird and it flips during our age. It states on the Elizabethanera.org that the history of
the theater is fascinating. How plays were first produced in the yards of inns the Inn yards, the very

These issues started out as minor issues, but due to the lack of attention they received, they have since
grown into major ones. My recent research is important due to the fact that these issues can no longer
be ignored. If they are not resolved immediately, our correctional system will begin to spiral out of
control, which could then result in a negative name being given to the system. Also, not only will the
system continue to suffer, but society as a whole. Resolving these issues will not only benefit the
former, current and future offenders, but all the employees of the criminal justice system as well.
Overall, I hope you all understand my stance when it comes to taking action to resolve the issues the
criminal justice system is currently facing. I feel together we can accomplish this major task. Thank
you for your time.

How A Story Changes During Recycling
How a Story Changes During Recycling
Dôjôji in setsuwa, illustrated scroll and Noh play
9N135551 MaoYing
Devastated by a young monk who refused to have a relationship with and ran away from her, a woman
turned into serpent, chased the monk into a temple and finally destroyed him even though he hid
himself carefully under the big temple bell . This is the summary of the Dōjōji legend, a story which
has been recycled many times through history. Being one of the most popular themes in Japanese arts
and literature, it appeared in numerous versions and has been adapted to a wide variety of media. In
this paper, I will look into three of them Setsuwa, illustrated scroll and Noh play and make some
comparisons. I will try to demonstrate how ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
On the other hand, the woman is depicted as evil, lustful, and furious when rejected. In her essay,
Susan Blakeley Klein attributes this extremely negative view of women to one possible function of the
setsuwa: a cautionary tale specifically addressed to monks and priests to persuade them to avoid
women and exclude them from the realm of the spiritual .
The Dôjôji Engi Emaki
The Dōjōji Engi Emaki is an illustrated narrative scroll which was made in the Muromachi period
based on the earlier versions of the Dôjôji story. It is now a national treasure in the possession of
Dôjôji temple, Wakayama. This kind of illustrated scroll was often used in a medieval performance art
called etoki 絵解き, in which a performer displays the scroll to his/her audience while explaining the
illustrations and narrating the story. Even today, you can still enjoy a live performance given by
monks in the Dôjôji temple, though the scroll they use is a variant of the Engi Emaki produced early
in the twentieth century.
Although being based on the earlier setsuwa versions of the Dôjôji story, the Dôjôji Engi Emaki is
more like an independent work. It consists of four major parts: illustrations that depict the story;
Monogatari, the opening part that designates the time, places, actors and backgrounds; serifu, the lines
of speech uttered by the characters themselves; etoki lines, the narrations given by the explainer. The
verbal narration is

Benefits Of Using Esri Data Essay
Paid Posts For a small fee, a specific audience of current followers or non followers can be targeted to
receive specified posts. We can utilize ESRI data to develop specific awareness by census tract, target
only those within the town or use a broader reach. Match Content and Timing to Channel Some posts
that do very well on one channel will have little or no success on others. Twitter needs to be shorter
and have pictures. Facebook is generally longer, with full sentences and a more casual tone. Instagram
should always have excellent photos, never out of focus or poor lighting. 2. Gather and Track
Performance, Outcomes Gather Data For Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram the data can be gathered
from the native platforms. Work in a Cycle Review most successful, less successful, identify trends

projects/events/campaigns. 3. Define a Tone and Best Practices by Channel Tone Variance We will
need to decide if we want to speak in a voice that parallels the user base for each platform, a more
consistent voice across platforms, or a more formal voice that may mirror the entire town population.

In September 1969, Ho Chi Minh died of a heart attack in the city of Hanoi. Despite Nixon s attempts
at de escalation, he was also secretly increasing bombing campaigns in Laos and Cambodia in order to
stop the supplies coming from the Ho Chi Minh trail. The operation was kept secret from congress and
the American people because Cambodia was technically a neutral country. The operation authorized B
52s to bomb Vietnamese bases and supply areas outside of Vietnam. A total of 111,000 tons of bombs
were dropped from 1969 to 1970 inside Cambodia. Consequently, protest erupted over Nixon s

However, the North Vietnamese negotiator walked away from the negotiation table and the Nixon

offensive included sending 700 B 52 bombers and 1,000 jet fighters to bomb the City of Hanoi for 11

Mechanism Of Infectious Disease Control
Mechanism of Infectious Disease Control
In today s global world infectious disease has become a major concern for the world. They can spread
from one end of the globe to the other in a matter of days. A person can get on a plane in Europe and
get off in Canada and may have infected a good portion of the world when everyone on the plane gets
back home. Infectious disease may also be spread by international trade in food and medicinal
biological products. In most developed countries mortality rates caused by infectious disease, have
greatly decreased over the past century this is due in part to better treatment and early detection of
new diseases. In developing countries diseases are a major problem that effect both economy and the

Conflict Is An Inevitable Element Of Life We All Go Through
Conflict is an inevitable element of life; we all go through conflict in every ramification of our life: in
relationships, family of origin and even workplaces. What is conflict? Interpersonal conflict can be
defined as an expressed struggle between two or more interdependent parties who perceive
incompatible goals, scarce resources, and interference from others in achieving their goals (Wilmot an,
2011, pg.11). It is important to note that conflict is not always bad and it can range from a mild
disagreement to outright war between two parties. In this paper, I will analyze my conflict situation
using some conflict resolution concepts and also substantiate insights on how my conflict could have
been better handled.

At the meeting the next Monday, one item at the agenda was to give constructive feedback about the
event and all we got from Priscila was outright negative feedbacks ranging from the setup to the duties
assigned. After that meeting she started giving an attitude to all the executives and also giving excuses
for not coming to the council s weekly meetings. After many weeks of negative attitudes and excuses,
she resigned from her executive position and sent an email to the co chairs to affect that change.
The issue within this conflict is based on the question of who should welcome the audience to the
event. I wanted to welcome the audience to the event because I had been assigned that duty as agreed
upon in the previous meeting while Priscila wanted to do the welcome or introductions because it fit
into her duty as moderator. Interpersonal conflict arises either because people want different things or
they want the same things. With regards to my conflict with Priscila, we both wanted to assume the
position of welcoming people to the event. Priscila and I belong to the same student advisory council
where we volunteer our time as council executives. In this conflict, Priscila wanted her opinions to be
respected while I wanted the notions addressed within the minutes to be adhered to without stepping
on another person s toe. Within this conflict, I wanted to save face and be seen as responsible, efficient

Why College Is Valuable Essay
There are many main reasons why college is valuable; however, the one I personally think is most
valuable is, because it is helping one s self build self esteem. College is much more than just a degree
towards your career. Through perseverance, and knowing how you handle things in college a life
lesson, yet you truly learn who you are. By finding which direction you want to go in life more than
likely builds up your self esteem. College can truly better yourself overall, and gaining overall
confidence in your career. What is self esteem? It is a judgment based on yourself, and your attitude

Most students who attend college are on an extreme budget; however, by learning how to manage one
s money in a life skills class can be very valuable in college. From here on, when I get overwhelmed
with how much money something will be I look back at when I took my success strategy class in my
first year of college; in a college success strategy really prepares student s for life skills that they will
need. Also, in success strategy class I learned how to budget money, and my financial aid. Therefore,
this was a very valuable life lesson that everyone should carry on into one s first career. These
management skills help students later in life, and more in depth than just a degree. Therefore, life
skills are detrimental to building self esteem and self respect, because overall it truly sets anyone up
for life. Also Graff explains in his passage that, only much later did it dawn on me that the sports

Involvement of Parents in Their Child s Development
Project Part 3
For a working woman, maternity leave is a standard part of giving birth. Physically, the new mother
needs that time to recover from the birthing process, but there is an emotional reason, too. Experts
preach over and over that for those first few weeks of a baby s life, it needs the interaction and touch
of its mother to help with bonding to start their development on the right track. Shouldn t the father be
part of that process as well? Shouldn t the father of the new child be able to take paternity leave from
work? I believe they should, not only to bond with the child, but to help the mother with her recovery
and to coordinate visitors, appointments and any errands that may be needed. Some ... Show more

Friends, relatives, and neighbors alike all want to see the new bundle of joy. Some may want to cook
dinner for the new family and having the father home on paternity leave would help take this stress off
the new mother. When the mother is sleeping or caring for the child, the father could coordinate with
everyone wanting to visit so that the new family is not bombarded with everyone at once. A mother
having to deal with her own recovery as well as caring for the child could easily get overwhelmed
dealing with all the requests. On top of coordinating visitors, the father could manage the doctor s
appointments or errands to get supplies. Some mothers are on medication after birth and shouldn t
drive, not to mention that most new mothers don t want to take their newborn to a grocery store in
those first few weeks. Besides the obvious benefit to a child s development, paternity leave is
beneficial to the family as well. Research has shown that in families that the father takes paternity
leave, fewer divorces occur. This helps the family by strengthening it and not having the father only
play the role of being the primary bread winner. This creates a happy family, which extends to the
workplace as well. One might think there would be

Analysis Of Lars Eighner s Dumpster Diving
Most people have heard the phrase, Don t judge a book by its cover . This adage means that you
should not make judgements based off of what you see by first glance. This expression is not only
related to books, but to people as well. To clarify, if you see a woman walking down the street with
makeup on most people will begin to think either one of two things at the snap of a glance. A. She is a
makeup artist or B. She is insecure or hiding something. In reality, none of these answers could be the
possible truth. This woman can work at a restaurant as a hostess and just enjoy putting on makeup
occasionally. Our covers are can be based on a numerous things like the way we speak or displaying
common behavior similar to a group of people. The author of the essay Mother Tongue , other wise

ability. In addition to this, Lars Eighner composes an essay called Dumpster Diving in which he
records his experience as a homeless man on the street scavenging through garbage to find his next
meal. Evident in both the essays and reality, Amy Tan s mother, Lars Eighner, as well as myself, have

How Does Edgar Allan Poe Use Figurative Language In The Raven
The mood of the poem The Raven can be described in many words. In a single word, it can be
considered Gothic . More specifically, however, the mood is mysterious, melancholy, and even
slightly morbid. Edgar Allan Poe created the mysterious mood in his poem by using figurative
language, imagery, setting, tone, and the speaker to help enhance his writing. Poe uses figurative
language as one of the ways to add to the mood and tone of his poems. Personification is one of the
many types of figurative language that Poe uses. An example of him using personification is when he
says each separate dying ember and Uncertain rustling of each purple curtain , both of the quotes help
add to the mysterious mood of the paper. The setting of the poem,

History of Mayan Culture The mysterious culture of ancient Maya once covered a vast geographic

The Mayans environment consisted of tropical rainforests, which was also one of their main sources

according to what they had done. A thief would become the servant of his victim. Murderers were put

There were also class separations like the ruling class and the common people. Warriors were a

This is an important period in Israel s history because the captivity and the return and restoration of
the Jewish nation were fulfilling the Old Testament prophecies.
When Solomon died in 931 B.C., the United Kingdom of Israel was split in two: 10 tribes in the North
formed Israel and the 2 remaining tribes in the South continued under the name of Judah. God
punished the Northern Kingdom for their idolatry and in 722 B.C. it was conquered by the Assyrians.
The people were taken into captivity and they never returned to their homeland. The Southern

Plato the Philosopher Essay
Plato was a philosopher who was born in Athens (470 390 BCE), and was also a student of Socrates.
He felt that intelligence and one s perception belonged to completely independent realms or realities.
He believed that general concepts of knowledge were predestined, or placed in the soul before birth

Holistic Philosophy Of Education
Over the last several decades the number of education initiatives that describe themselves as holistic
has drastically expanded as the parents, students, and educators have expressed the feeling that a
different option for mainstream education is required. Holistic education is a philosophy of education
based on the premise that each person finds identity, meaning, and purpose in life through connections
to the community, to the natural world, and to humanitarian values such as compassion and peace.
Holistic education addresses the broadest advancement of the individual at the cognitive and affective
levels. Holistic education concentrates on the relationship between the entire and the part and proposes
that teaching and learning approaches should be established in a bigger vision. Within this holistic
perspective, the student is situated as a dynamic, participatory and critical learner who sees and
comprehends him. The holistic vision incorporates a feeling of the individual who is associated with
his or her encompassing setting and environment (J, Miller 2004). Holistic education is an adventure
for both the teacher and the student.

Renewable Resources For Solar Energy
Solar Energy is something that the entire world relies on every day. Without energy, the earth would
be dark, and nothing will be able to operate. Lately, there has been many concerns with the various
types of resources that are used to generate energy. Many resources that are used are non renewable
resource. This means that the resources such as oil and coal are not grown or produced, they are found
in regions in specific sections of the world. These resources are also recognized as fossil fuels.
Researchers have been working for numerous years to find new ways to generate energy without using
these resources that cause issues for the environment. By using renewable sources such as the sun,
new ways to create energy have developed. Solar energy is energy that is created by the sunshine. This
sort of energy that derives from the sun can create electricity in households. With new emerging
technology, solar energy can perform different types of energy for diverse uses such as heating water
or generate electricity for a home. This alternative energy that goes beyond fossil fuels can be
extremely beneficial for the environment; However, there might be some downfalls for a consumer if
they needed to use solar energy to provide electricity.

The Caliph Harun Al Rashid
Aside from this general emphasis on the value of cleverness and intelligence however, the story of the
Caliph Harun al Rashid and his much exalted qadi Abu Yusuf also highlights an interesting point about
religion and the works to follow or otherwise remain within the confines of certain religious mandates
while simultaneously being able to pursue whatever personal ends one desires. Though the qadi claims
that the actions of the Caliph all fall within accordance with the Qur an and the teachings of Islam, the
series of events required to allow the Caliph to consummate a marriage with the slave girl which
involve such workarounds as the ordering of her marriage to a male slave in order to divorce them and
avoid the three month period of legal purification (Schroeder, 1955) required for sexual conduct, as
well as ordering the male slave to become the property of the girl in order to annul their marriage
when the male slave refuses to divorce her on his own it certainly seems that these actions probably
violate the spirit of the law, even if they avoid violation of the letter. The story itself makes a
somewhat humorous and sly mention of this fact towards the end of the tale, confirming that as to the
expiation of the oaths, Abu Yusuf s ruling would hardly be confirmed by jurists of the Shafi i school,
(Schroeder, 1955) but noting that Abu Yusuf treated it in accord with the views of his own, the Hanafi
school. In other words, whether or not the actions of the qadi

Skiing Is Better Than Snowboarding Essay
Why skiing is better than Snowboarding
The battle between skiing and snowboarding has been going on for years. Many loyal skiers and
boarders have fought for their style of shredding the powder. This controversial topic has torn many
friendships apart. Snowboarding participation fell 4.5 percent during the last five years, while skiing
grew 6.7 percent, according to the National Ski Areas Association. Skiing is better than snowboarding
because skiing is much easier to learn, skiers have more agility, and skiing is much safer.
Skiing is Easier to learn
Skiing has been found to be easier for many people. One of the main reasons is it is very similar to
other sports like; ice skating, rollerblading and running. The ability to balance on a ... Show more

This lift is however not as easily accessed by snowboarders. The snowboarder must unclip a binding
and with one foot still fastened to the board move into position in a skateboard motion. The T bar lift
forces snowboarders to ride up the hill in a perpendicular position. This makes it impossible for a
snowboarder to place the bar between his or her legs because it will make them off balance and if the
snowboarder falls he or she has to go back to the beginning and try again.
Having Two Skis is Better Than One Snowboard
The physics of skiing and snowboarding are very similar. They both rely on a downwards pull from
gravity. This pull is what turns the potential energy into kinetic energy. As a smooth surface (or two)
pass over the snow a small amount of energy is lost to friction. The bottom of the skis or board zoom
across the surface of the snow creating heat. The heat along with the weight bearing down on the snow
melt some of the snow creating a film of water on the bottom of the surface. Some energy is also lost
by through wind resistance of the riders silhouette.
These principles are similar between the two sports, but their biomechanics are far from the same. It is
easier for an amateur skier to keep his center of mass tucked away safely between the skis, this helps
to avoid falls even when turning. The snowboarder, on the other hand, has constantly to

The Impact Of Television On The Australian Economy
Introduction:
The television industry is one of the most rapidly changing media industries to date. Its evolution from
black and white, to colour, to digital and now three dimensional viewing, there is nothing slow about
its development. Focusing particularly on commercial free to air (FTA) television, the FTA television
industry plays a critical role in the Australian ecosystem. Due to its free delivery, it generates $3.2
billion per annum in economic and advertising surplus (Venture Consulting, 2015). This is why the
value of commercial FTA television to the Australian public remains high whereby FTA television is
watched by more than 14 million Australians daily (Free TV Australia, 2014). However, television
nowadays is much more than a medium of entertainment and information. It is also used as a method
for engaging in social interaction (Morely, 1986, p. 22), and this digital divide of interaction is what
harms the television industry. The launch of streaming services not only confronts the traditional
linear TV format by allowing users to select what they want to watch and when they want it, it also
broadens the offering to almost any device (Spooner, 2015). The research methods in the television
industry despite its strength as a medium, must however, walk hand in hand with the fast progression
of new technology and challenge the rise of digital omnivores.
What research has been done:
There is no doubt that the average Australian household has a variety of

Influence Of Puritan Writing On Colonial Society
Puritans were an important religious, social and political group which helped form the opinions,
values and direction of the early American colonists. Thus, affecting the formation of our country.
Among the most influential and prolific Puritan writers was William Bradford who impacted Colonial
values and thinking. Puritan writers not only stirred the ideology of the people of the time but were
important historians. The puritan style of writing was simple, logical and pongnant. Carefully selected
words and sentences that directly addressed the issues and concerns at hand in a clear concise style.
The purpose of Puritan writing was to influence and govern the colonists; providing instruction on
how one should conduct themselves; social and spiritual lives. Puritans stressed four main values in
structuring their society; Sobriety a serious attitude towards life, Industriousness preaching the value

lasting historical contributions was his manuscript: Of Plymouth Plantation, about the settling, taming

Rough Set Theory was proposed by Polish scholar Pawlak in [10] . The in tegrity and the uncertainty

powerful tool for managing uncertainty that arises from inexact, noisy, or incomplete information. It

Genetic algorithm is a searching approach [8] that is based on natural genetic mechanism and natural

operators to generate several new solutions, eliminates the poorer, and keeps the better and promising
ones. The information of the ttest solutions is constantly utilized to search for the new unknown area

The Gospels Of The New Testament
The Themes of the Four Gospels
Introduction
The Gospels of the New Testament are ancient biographies focused primarily on an individual s
character. Biographers told their audiences about events they thought would present the person s
character effectively. These biographies focused on the circumstances of the individual s birth, what
other s said about him or her, and the person s own actions and statements. The Gospels complement
one another as they present four different aspects of Jesus earthly mission.
The Gospel of Matthew
Matthew presents Jesus as the Jewish Messiah, the Son of David In addition, the Fourth Gospel
introduce a greater degree of testimonies that Jesus is the divine Son of God and prophesied Messiah.
The Synoptic Gospels, Matthew, Mark, and Luke consist of many parallel material whereas 90 percent
of John s gospel is unique.
The Gospel of Mark
The two major themes in the Gospel of Mark are Jesus, the Son of God and Jesus, the King. The book
of Mark introduces Jesus is to an audience of Roman Christians in chapter one and verse one. Jesus
Christ is the Son of God. Then, Mark gives evidence for proclaiming Jesus as the Son of God in the
next few verses by quoting the scripture from the book of Isaiah, the Prophet. It says,
As is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet: A voice of one calling in the desert,
Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him (Mark 3:4).

Disadvantages Of Resolution 2098
Resolution 2098 was adopted by the United Nations Security Council on 28th March 2013 regarding
the situation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The UN recognized the lack of progress in
DRC and adopted the resolution creating the Intervention Brigade unanimously. These difficulties had
already been highlighted previously and it was recommended to address the violence issue in a more
robust way, notably after the humanitarian failures of the 1990s (genocide in Rwanda, in Srebrenica,
massacres in refugee camps in DRC , etc.) Resolution 2098 created a new mandate for the
stabilization force in the DRC (Mission de l Organisation des Nations Unies pour la stabilisation en
République démocratique du Congo, or MONUSCO) which included a Force Intervention Brigade
(FIB) tasked with carrying out targeted offensive operations to neutralize armed groups with the intent
of preventing violence against civilians and protecting them under imminent threat . The mandate
included the employment of all necessary measures and went beyond the mandate of MONUSCO,
making it the first ever offensive force under the control and command of the UN. Even though the
FIB is part of MONUSCO, that is a peacekeeping operation, the mandate was given under the Chapter

the elections of 2006, the UN has been set aside from the negotiations process and thus could not take
part anymore to the construction of the institutions, which was a primary goal of its mandate. To
overcome this difficulty, the Intervention Brigade was authorized through Chapter VII of the Charter,

The Discovery Of The Scientist s The Technologists, Along...
Before MIT was founded in 1861, the common take on knowledge was quite different than that of our
modern day. Education was primarily for a wealthy upper class, who regardless of work ethic or true
intelligence, had safety nets of incredibly well off families often with money to spare. As noted in
Matthew Pearl s The Technologists, along with Bruce Sinclair and Merritt Roe Smiths articles on MIT
s foundation, Harvard and other schools for this elite class focused on a purely knowledge based
learning system; while MIT attempted to introduce a more technical education combining pure science
along with practical applications of technology, thus ushering in a new style of technical education.
In 1861, founder William Rodgers, chartered one of the first technical schools in MIT. While growing
up a geologist, in 1831, Rodgers began contemplation the connections between pure science and its
applications to engineering (Smith 16), which little to his knowledge, would be the basis of a new
institution. When Rodgers decided to introduce the idea for a technical institute, he had already
mapped out a path for the curriculum and its basis. Introduced and now known as the New Education ,
Rodgers s idea, set forth by Charles W. Eliot, brought on an entirely new technical education that had
almost never been seen before.
Rodgers s idea, along with Eliot s, changed the way many viewed education of the sciences and
applied technologies. With a majority of the wealthy population attending

Cases may be brought in the first instance before a lay magistrate (justice of the peace), a magistrate,
or a judge in the Supreme Court, according to the seriousness of the offense or the amount of property
involved. The Supreme Court also has appellate jurisdiction. Final appeal rests with the seven member
Court of Appeals, appointed on the advice of the prime minister in consultation with the leader of the
opposition. The attorney general, who need not be a member of parliament, is appointed by the
governor general on the advice of the prime minister. The constitution gives power to the Court of
Appeal and the parliament to refer cases to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council in the United
Kingdom. However, Jamaica was among the eight nations (Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Guyana,
Jamaica, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Trinidad and Tobago) whose leaders met in
Kingston on 9 June 2003 to ratify a treaty to establish the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ). A special
gun court considers cases involving the illegal use or possession of firearms or ammunition. The
judiciary is independent but is overburdened and backlogged because of a lack of trained personnel.
Recent increases in salaries, training programs for judicial personnel, and improvement in court
facilities may eventually serve to improve efficiency and processing of cases. In 1995, to reduce the
backlog of cases, the government initiated a night court, but little progress has

Characteristics Of Early Warning Of Equipment Chain Gas...
3.1. Characteristics of early warning of equipment chain in gas pipeline
3.1.1 Characteristics of early warning problem
(1) Time sequence
Early warning is the process that warning system addresses alarm information to managers in time
before emergency [15, 16]. It is indistinguishable and unexplainable to deal with early warning signals
and complex questions for most methods. Not only does accidents evolvement rely on current
condition, but also on regular historical changes in conditions, because accidents develop in
chronological order.
(2) Uncertainty
The monitoring ability is limited due to the limited number of monitoring points on site, which the
accident phenomenon cannot be detected directly but only express fault message by means of an
indirect way. Therefore, the same accident phenomenon may correspond to a number of different
implied reasons, resulting in failure to judge the inherent cause of problem directly. It is the
uncertainty problem in early warning system.
(3) Hierarchy
Hierarchy is a vital characteristic of early warning problem in industrial system. The status of entire
system is reflected on all low level status. In early warning system, it can be divided into multi levels
from low to high, such as monitoring status, equipment status, functional status of subsystem and
system status. In natural gas pipeline system, managers learn what happened on equipment chain by
status of monitoring points as essential data, covering production status and operating

Research Paper On Luigi Pirandello
Many people are inspired by things that occur in their life or things they witness, which tends to
motivate them to do something or express an experience in someway. Luigi Pirandello always said
¨Nature uses human imagination to lift her work of creation to even higher levels¨ ( Luigi Pirandello
Quotes ). Case in point, Luigi lived by this quote, incorporating nature and reality in his works. He
was an Italian dramatist, novelist, poet, and short story writer whose greatest contributions were his
plays. Pirandello was mostly inspired by individual desires, physiological issues, and struggles within
communities/countries.

Living in Rome during his time, World War I outbroke. He wrote about the war in his novel called
War. The story is about worried parents that are distraught over their kids being deployed to war. The
parents soon learn in this story that there s no reason to be concerned because it s their children s
choice not theirs. Pirandello relates to this because as World War I was going on his son Stefano was
deployed. Another novel concerning events in a country or community was The Other Son. This novel
tells about a concerned Sicilian mother pining for her two sons who have emigrated to Sante Fe. The
mother s longing for her sons urges her to follow each group of prospective emigrants walking away
from their village, in hopes to find her sons. This deals with community issues and the fact that people
are emigrating in and out of the community. Pirandello honored the heartbreaking events that could
happen to someone or a community or country.
As Luigi Pirandello once said ¨In bed my real love has always been the sleep that rescued me by
allowing me to dream¨ (¨Luigi Pirandello Quotes¨). Pirandello used his dreams and imagination by
turning them into works of art. His novels, short stories, and poems were all very well know but his
plays were his greatest contributions. Luigi Pirandello was mostly inspired by individual desires,
psychological issues, and struggles within

  • 3. Elizabethan Era of Music Culture Essay The music was played very often as a normal routine. People considered it a must to know how to play an instrument, sing, or be involved somehow with music in this age of time. Instruments in the 1600 s were able to make any type of music; the amazing part was no matter how many instruments you used it would always sound pure and the same. Another unique thing about the music and culture in the 1600 s is that it was also healthy for the body. During the Elizabethan Era the people would gather together to dance and dance for hours, their stamina must have been incredible. Music was use to entertain most people. Did you know at times you would be dancing with a complete stranger and you could ve been lucky enough to meet your dance partners, this made dancing all the more exciting in the Elizabethan Era time period. Not only did the people love to dance but they would dance for hours and hours a day. I love to dance but I could imagine how tired I would be after so many hours of dancing. We had two people to visit our school and what I learned about the women were that no matter what you would have great posture, reasons being is because they wore this body brace what we call girdles in this age of time. What the body brace would do is automatically sit the women up at all times. Even if women so much bend over it could break your ribs. They also told us about the theatre and how they would practice the stunts they do in most of the drama and actions plays. What many people didn t know was that the person performing the stunts did very little movements and the person who the stunts was performed on did most of the work to make the stunt seem so real. All of Shakespeare plays were not very popular in that period of time like they are now and it s amazing because most things they did we thought were weird and it flips during our age. It states on the Elizabethanera.org that the history of the theater is fascinating. These issues started out as minor issues, but due to the lack of attention they received, they have since grown into major ones. My recent research is important due to the fact that these issues can no longer be ignored. If they are not resolved immediately, our correctional system will begin to spiral out of control, which could then result in a negative name being given to the system. Also, not only will the system continue to suffer, but society as a whole. Resolving these issues will not only benefit the former, current and future offenders, but all the employees of the criminal justice system as well. Overall, I hope you all understand my stance when it comes to taking action to resolve the issues the criminal justice system is currently facing. I feel together we can accomplish this major task. How A Story Changes During Recycling How a Story Changes During Recycling Dôjôji in setsuwa, illustrated scroll and Noh play 9N135551 MaoYing Devastated by a young monk who refused to have a relationship with and ran away from her, a woman turned into serpent, chased the monk into a temple and finally destroyed him even though he hid himself carefully under the big temple bell . This is the summary of the Dōjōji legend, a story which has been recycled many times through history. Being one of the most popular themes in Japanese arts and literature, it appeared in numerous versions and has been adapted to a wide variety of media. On the other hand, the woman is depicted as evil, lustful, and furious when rejected. In her essay, Susan Blakeley Klein attributes this extremely negative view of women to one possible function of the setsuwa: a cautionary tale specifically addressed to monks and priests to persuade them to avoid women and exclude them from the realm of the spiritual . The Dôjôji Engi Emaki The Dōjōji Engi Emaki is an illustrated narrative scroll which was made in the Muromachi period based on the earlier versions of the Dôjôji story. It is now a national treasure in the possession of Dôjôji temple, Wakayama. This kind of illustrated scroll was often used in a medieval performance art called etoki 絵解き, in which a performer displays the scroll to his/her audience while explaining the illustrations and narrating the story. Even today, you can still enjoy a live performance given by monks in the Dôjôji temple, though the scroll they use is a variant of the Engi Emaki produced early in the twentieth century. Although being based on the earlier setsuwa versions of the Dôjôji story, the Dôjôji Engi Emaki is more like an independent work. It consists of four major parts: illustrations that depict the story; Monogatari, the opening part that designates the time, places, actors and backgrounds; serifu, the lines of speech uttered by the characters themselves; etoki lines, the narrations given by the explainer. Conflict Is An Inevitable Element Of Life We All Go Through Conflict is an inevitable element of life; we all go through conflict in every ramification of our life: in relationships, family of origin and even workplaces. What is conflict? Interpersonal conflict can be defined as an expressed struggle between two or more interdependent parties who perceive incompatible goals, scarce resources, and interference from others in achieving their goals (Wilmot an, 2011, pg.11). It is important to note that conflict is not always bad and it can range from a mild disagreement to outright war between two parties. At the meeting the next Monday, one item at the agenda was to give constructive feedback about the event and all we got from Priscila was outright negative feedbacks ranging from the setup to the duties assigned. After that meeting she started giving an attitude to all the executives and also giving excuses for not coming to the council s weekly meetings. After many weeks of negative attitudes and excuses, she resigned from her executive position and sent an email to the co chairs to affect that change. The issue within this conflict is based on the question of who should welcome the audience to the event. I wanted to welcome the audience to the event because I had been assigned that duty as agreed upon in the previous meeting while Priscila wanted to do the welcome or introductions because it fit into her duty as moderator. Interpersonal conflict arises either because people want different things or they want the same things. With regards to my conflict with Priscila, we both wanted to assume the position of welcoming people to the event. Priscila and I belong to the same student advisory council where we volunteer our time as council executives. By finding which direction you want to go in life more than likely builds up your self esteem. College can truly better yourself overall, and gaining overall confidence in your career. Also, in success strategy class I learned how to budget money, and my financial aid. Therefore, this was a very valuable life lesson that everyone should carry on into one s first career. These management skills help students later in life, and more in depth than just a degree. Physically, the new mother needs that time to recover from the birthing process, but there is an emotional reason, too. Experts preach over and over that for those first few weeks of a baby s life, it needs the interaction and touch of its mother to help with bonding to start their development on the right track. Shouldn t the father be part of that process as well? Shouldn t the father of the new child be able to take paternity leave from work? I believe they should, not only to bond with the child, but to help the mother with her recovery and to coordinate visitors, appointments and any errands that may be needed. Some ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Friends, relatives, and neighbors alike all want to see the new bundle of joy. Some may want to cook dinner for the new family and having the father home on paternity leave would help take this stress off the new mother. When the mother is sleeping or caring for the child, the father could coordinate with everyone wanting to visit so that the new family is not bombarded with everyone at once. A mother having to deal with her own recovery as well as caring for the child could easily get overwhelmed dealing with all the requests. On top of coordinating visitors, the father could manage the doctor s appointments or errands to get supplies. Some mothers are on medication after birth and shouldn t drive, not to mention that most new mothers don t want to take their newborn to a grocery store in those first few weeks. Besides the obvious benefit to a child s development, paternity leave is beneficial to the family as well. Research has shown that in families that the father takes paternity leave, fewer divorces occur. This helps the family by strengthening it and not having the father only play the role of being the primary bread winner. This creates a happy family, which extends to the workplace as well. This adage means that you should not make judgements based off of what you see by first glance. This expression is not only related to books, but to people as well. To clarify, if you see a woman walking down the street with makeup on most people will begin to think either one of two things at the snap of a glance. A. She is a makeup artist or B. She is insecure or hiding something. In reality, none of these answers could be the possible truth. This woman can work at a restaurant as a hostess and just enjoy putting on makeup occasionally. More specifically, however, the mood is mysterious, melancholy, and even slightly morbid. Edgar Allan Poe created the mysterious mood in his poem by using figurative language, imagery, setting, tone, and the speaker to help enhance his writing. Poe uses figurative language as one of the ways to add to the mood and tone of his poems. Personification is one of the many types of figurative language that Poe uses. An example of him using personification is when he says each separate dying ember and Uncertain rustling of each purple curtain , both of the quotes help add to the mysterious mood of the paper. Holistic Philosophy Of Education Over the last several decades the number of education initiatives that describe themselves as holistic has drastically expanded as the parents, students, and educators have expressed the feeling that a different option for mainstream education is required. Holistic education is a philosophy of education based on the premise that each person finds identity, meaning, and purpose in life through connections to the community, to the natural world, and to humanitarian values such as compassion and peace. Holistic education addresses the broadest advancement of the individual at the cognitive and affective levels. Holistic education concentrates on the relationship between the entire and the part and proposes that teaching and learning approaches should be established in a bigger vision. Within this holistic perspective, the student is situated as a dynamic, participatory and critical learner who sees and comprehends him. Lately, there has been many concerns with the various types of resources that are used to generate energy. Many resources that are used are non renewable resource. This means that the resources such as oil and coal are not grown or produced, they are found in regions in specific sections of the world. These resources are also recognized as fossil fuels. Researchers have been working for numerous years to find new ways to generate energy without using these resources that cause issues for the environment. By using renewable sources such as the sun, new ways to create energy have developed. Solar energy is energy that is created by the sunshine. This sort of energy that derives from the sun can create electricity in households. With new emerging technology, solar energy can perform different types of energy for diverse uses such as heating water or generate electricity for a home. The Caliph Harun Al Rashid Aside from this general emphasis on the value of cleverness and intelligence however, the story of the Caliph Harun al Rashid and his much exalted qadi Abu Yusuf also highlights an interesting point about religion and the works to follow or otherwise remain within the confines of certain religious mandates while simultaneously being able to pursue whatever personal ends one desires. Though the qadi claims that the actions of the Caliph all fall within accordance with the Qur an and the teachings of Islam, the series of events required to allow the Caliph to consummate a marriage with the slave girl which involve such workarounds as the ordering of her marriage to a male slave in order to divorce them and avoid the three month period of legal purification (Schroeder, 1955) required for sexual conduct, as well as ordering the male slave to become the property of the girl in order to annul their marriage when the male slave refuses to divorce her on his own it certainly seems that these actions probably violate the spirit of the law, even if they avoid violation of the letter. The story itself makes a somewhat humorous and sly mention of this fact towards the end of the tale, confirming that as to the expiation of the oaths, Abu Yusuf s ruling would hardly be confirmed by jurists of the Shafi i school, (Schroeder, 1955) but noting that Abu Yusuf treated it in accord with the views of his own, the Hanafi school. Having Two Skis is Better Than One Snowboard The physics of skiing and snowboarding are very similar. They both rely on a downwards pull from gravity. This pull is what turns the potential energy into kinetic energy. As a smooth surface (or two) pass over the snow a small amount of energy is lost to friction. The bottom of the skis or board zoom across the surface of the snow creating heat. The heat along with the weight bearing down on the snow melt some of the snow creating a film of water on the bottom of the surface. Some energy is also lost by through wind resistance of the riders silhouette. These principles are similar between the two sports, but their biomechanics are far from the same. • 22. The Impact Of Television On The Australian Economy Introduction: The television industry is one of the most rapidly changing media industries to date. Its evolution from black and white, to colour, to digital and now three dimensional viewing, there is nothing slow about its development. Focusing particularly on commercial free to air (FTA) television, the FTA television industry plays a critical role in the Australian ecosystem. Due to its free delivery, it generates $3.2 billion per annum in economic and advertising surplus (Venture Consulting, 2015). This is why the value of commercial FTA television to the Australian public remains high whereby FTA television is watched by more than 14 million Australians daily (Free TV Australia, 2014). However, television nowadays is much more than a medium of entertainment and information. It is also used as a method for engaging in social interaction (Morely, 1986, p. 22), and this digital divide of interaction is what harms the television industry. The launch of streaming services not only confronts the traditional linear TV format by allowing users to select what they want to watch and when they want it, it also broadens the offering to almost any device (Spooner, 2015). The research methods in the television industry despite its strength as a medium, must however, walk hand in hand with the fast progression of new technology and challenge the rise of digital omnivores. Characteristics of early warning of equipment chain in gas pipeline 3.1.1 Characteristics of early warning problem (1) Time sequence Early warning is the process that warning system addresses alarm information to managers in time before emergency [15, 16]. It is indistinguishable and unexplainable to deal with early warning signals and complex questions for most methods. Not only does accidents evolvement rely on current condition, but also on regular historical changes in conditions, because accidents develop in chronological order. (2) Uncertainty The monitoring ability is limited due to the limited number of monitoring points on site, which the accident phenomenon cannot be detected directly but only express fault message by means of an indirect way. Therefore, the same accident phenomenon may correspond to a number of different implied reasons, resulting in failure to judge the inherent cause of problem directly. It is the uncertainty problem in early warning system. (3) Hierarchy Hierarchy is a vital characteristic of early warning problem in industrial system. The status of entire system is reflected on all low level status. In early warning system, it can be divided into multi levels from low to high, such as monitoring status, equipment status, functional status of subsystem and system status.
