HR and the Competiton for Talent Essay
In today s competitive workforce, talent is not only incremental, but also scarce. War for talent, a term
coined by Steven Hankin of McKinsey Company, refers to the competitive landscape of talent
management of skilled and valuable employees. Talent management is defined as the implementation
of integrated strategies or systems designed to increase workplace productivity by developing
improved processes for attracting, developing, retaining and utilizing people with the required skills
and aptitude to meet current and future business needs (Lockwood, 2006). This paper talks about the
challenges faced by organizations and how organizations use strategic HR to overcome concerns
regarding attraction, recruitment and retention of talented ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Telecommuting programs are also aided with the arrangement of appropriate technology, which makes
working from home easier. As one of the large scaled companies Deloitte and the Westpac Group
understand the challenges associated with employee satisfaction. Both of these companies improved
their IT and Information and Communication Technology structure respectively by providing their
staff with the appropriate technology to carry out tasks from the comfort of their homes. Westpac
allows applicable employees the option to work from home and telecommute, this is mutually
sustainable with the company philosophy that acts a vital contributor to attract lateral hires (Deloitte,
2013). Not only did Deloitte and Westpac recognize that in order for their telecommuting program to
work they needed to provide the staff with the right tools to do the job efficiently and compliantly,
they were also able to connect to a wider range of their staff. Empirical research conducted by Deloitte
shows that to Only 62% of employees without access to flexible IT policies report feeling satisfied at
work. Up to 83% of employees with access to flexible IT policies (such as social media access) report
feeling satisfied at work (Deloitte, 2013). Telecommuting plays a substantially large role in the
strategic HR department, which includes employee satisfaction. A categorical and strategic plan that

Capitalism Vs Religion
Exam #3
Capitalism thrives in the United States in a manner different than anywhere else in the world. As time
passed, it became apparent that spending and creating secured the power it currently possesses. While
this country appears to be secular in the way it is regulated, it in actuality owes its economic success
to religion. Reality is, the notion of capitalism and the American work ethic is owed to Protestants,
despite the secular worldview Americans have held in more recent times. Weber argues that the
Protestant work ethic provided a foundation for the success of capitalism in the secular sphere of
collective society. The calling derived such practicality in terms of economics through its
individualistic approach to eternal salvation. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Worshippers of the faith were now more inclined to save and invest wisely in all their economic
endeavors. Because of the practicality implemented in their faith, the Protestants became committed to
practicing smarter tactics to obtain a place in Heaven. The role that these ideas played in the formation
of their economic success, was integral to not only their success, but the rise of capitalism in the
United States. The ideas that were derived from this faith soon became the spirit of capitalism. This
spirit was easily applicable to capitalism, and the practices and methods the Protestants developed
soon became more commonplace within collective society. The ascetic practices that were being
implemented in the United States were now integral to credit and value, which is a core belief of
Protestantism. However, despite the success that the United States now possessed due to the rise of
capitalism in their society, they reached a level of idleness in their spirit. By complying to economic
modesty, the average American worker was now trapped in an iron cage . This iron cage refers to the
over rationalization of the United States with their money. By becoming conscious of their actions and
aware of the result that followed, the workers spirit died a little. The calling soon enough became an
illusion that existed long ago in a different society, but is now

Constantine s Use Of Constantinople As A Site Of Byzantium
Constantinople was a city strategically built both on the outside and inside. Constantine founded
Constantinople on the remains of Byzantium for economic and military reasons, which were
excellently seen through in the city. With the benefits of those actions, Constantine developed a rich
and religious community for his citizens. The site of Byzantium was located on a peninsula and
therefore had innate advantages with trade and protection. Being surrounded by water meant trade
across the Black Sea from the front and two ports on the sides. This led to economic diversity and
prosperity. The water also served as a means of protection, as invaders were not likely to attack via
fleet. With danger primarily coming from one side of the city, a

Compare And Contrast Canadian Culture Vs American Culture
Canadas s culture is in many ways very similar to our culture in the United States. This in part due to
our proximity to one another. However despite the similarities of our two countries there is some very
distinct differences between the two. We as Americans make several misconceptions about the large
country to our north, which are made out of ignorance. Such as the Title of this essay. In this essay I
will provide you with some brief history about Canada and its establishment. As well as elaborate on
many key characteristics, holidays and demographics of that make up what it is to be a Canadian. The
name Canada is derived from the word Kanata which translates to Village in the Iroquois language.

The largest ethnic demographic of the Canadian population are either English Canadian or French
Canadian, making up a staggering 80% of the population of Canada. Most of the French Canadians
located mostly in Quebec can trace their lineage back to the first French colonial families. After whiles
the second largest ethnic group is Asians. Making up four percent of the population many of these
people migrated to Canada for their willingness to work for low pay in dangerous conditions for the
construction of the Canadian Pacific Railroad. Blacks make up three percent of the population and are
Canada s largest minority. Many of these people are fairly recent immigrant families from Africa or
the Caribbean, but there is a small minority of black Canadians that can trace their roots to the
millions of African Slaved imported during the era of the Slave trade. Canada has taken the stance that
everyone is equal, and because of this multi culturalism has thrived within the large country over the
past 4 decades. Their brand of multiculturalism does not impose a burden to assimilate into idealized
norms of what a Canadian is. The country which was once 97% white back in 1981, It now welcomes
roughly 300,000 immigrants a year 80% of those are non white immigrants. Of course there is still
some level discrimination and social tension caused between the multiple cultures that inhabit Canada,

Students Rights Movement
The Students Rights Movement occurred in the 1960 s during the same time as the Civil Rights
Movement. Specific goals for this general social movement had been to improve the circumstances in
terms of rights, privileges, freedom of speech, educational reform, and campus life style. The Students
Rights Movement began with two movements: the Free Speech Movement and the Student
Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, including many different court cases and examples of students
radically changing the social aspect of education.
The Free Speech Movement had been the first 1960 s student movement to emphasize students rights

In a landmark case known as In re Gault, which concerned the arrest of a 15 year old Arizona boy, the
Court ruled that teenagers have distinct rights under the U.S. Constitution (10 Supreme Court Cases
Every Teen Should Know). This was the case that started teenagers to have their own rights, because
before that case, the law regarded children as their parent s property. Another case in 1966 called Kent
v. United States was about a 16 year old named Morris Kent from Washington D.C. Kent had been on
probation since he was 14 for burglary and theft, had also been arrested and charged with three home
burglaries, three robberies, and two counts of rape. Because of the seriousness of Kent s crime history,
the prosecutor moved to try Morris in adult court. Without a hearing, the judge sent Kent to adult
court, where he was found guilty and sentenced to 30 to 90 years in prison. The Supreme Court ruled
against Kent, but the Justices said that in deciding whether to remove a case from juvenile court,
judges must weigh a variety of factors, including the seriousness of the crime; the juvenile s age; and
the defendant s criminal background and mental state. Because of this case, many states can try
teenagers under 18 as adults for crimes such as murder, sexual assault, or possession or sale of drugs,
with punishments that range up to life in prison without the possibility of parole (10 Supreme Court

Same-Sex Discrimination Essay
The main issues of this legislation revolve around commerce and federal preemption. From the cases
discussed in lecture and discussion, there are two cases that have a strong, direct correlation to the
cases and many others that have a secondary or weaker correlation to the legislation. Windsor (2012)
has the greatest correlation because of the topic at hand. Windsor challenged the constitutionality of
the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) citing that the act discriminated against the ability of Edith
Windsor to collect her spouse s estate by imposing estate taxes that other non same sex couples were
not subject to. There were three questions at hand; one regarding the statement by the Executive

Lopez (1995) handled the issue of carrying a gun in a school zone and whether Congress had the
ability to regulate that. The court, in a 5 4 decision, said no, that the act of carrying a gun does not
substantially effect commerce. Congress overstepped its bounds. Justice Breyer dissented claiming a
three prong approach of which the court should consider significant effect , the act as a whole, and
whether Congress had a rational basis. Morrison (2000) struck down, in a 5 4 decision, the
constitutionality of the Violence Against Women Act claiming that the there is no activity regulated
that can be argued under the Commerce Clause. Justice Breyer s dissent points out the mountain of
data showing the effects of violence against women on interstate commerce and that the court should
defer to Congress. Gonzalez (2005) supports Congress s Commerce Clause powers by finding the
Controlled Substances Act constitutional and Justice Steven s opinion stated that Congress had the
power to regulate local activities that are part of a class of activities. Swift (1904) questioned the
ability of Congress to regulate a meat trust but the 9 0 decision solidified Congress s ability to regulate
commerce due to the indirect and direct affects on interstate commerce. Here we see the beginning of
the stream of commerce. Schechter (1934) is opposite of this decision. The poultry in this case was

Application Of Using Multiple Software Tools
3.1 Introduction
The first section of this chapter summarizes the detailed analysis which was carried out by using
multiple software tools in order to conduct microwave heating simulations of interest. The objective is
to document the important technical information regarding the procedures for later re enactment. After
various comparisons, CST Studio Suite was selected as the preferred software and every simulation
hereafter was done using CST. To authenticate the simulation procedure, validation of a paper
published in the Food and Bioprocess Technology Journal in 2011 was conducted. It is a common
practice for researchers to replicate a published work to duplicate the results, in order to approve or

3.2.1 Workflow Procedure
During or after the installation of HFSS, it needs to be made sure that the integration operation with a
similar model of ANSYS has been enabled. Once HFSS is successfully integrated with ANSYS, the
electromagnetic response of the model is computed by HFSS. The following two types of losses are
extracted from HFSS simulation outputs:
(i) Surface loss density (W/m2), resulting from metallic losses.
(ii) Volume loss density (W/m3), resulting from the dielectric losses.
These electrical results including losses are imported to ANSYS, ANSYS maps the surface and
volume losses from HFSS and conducts mechanical simulations to acquire thermal responses. The
thermal response will be a function of the input power level of the microwave signal and also the
frequency.
The process is then reversed by importing the thermal results from ANSYS back to HFSS. EM
simulations are carried out in HFSS to recalculate the losses and the process is repeated many times
until a converged criterion is satisfied. The decision chart shown in Figure 3.1 explains the process

Eulogy For Olympias
Olympias seated from the clouds in her usual spot, watched the little specs of people in all different
extravagant colors, run through their everyday schedules. She adored the people of Athens, who would
go about their everyday actions, buying things from the market, children playing, adults talking,
Olympias loved it all. The people of Athens brought joy to Olympias s heart. People at the time never
seemed to rush or worry about whether they would be late for work or how much time they had left to
play. Each one was always joyful and happy, no one knew about time. Soon they would, and Olympias
knew this. There was no such thing as the sun or moon, it was never light nor was it dark. This would
seem to be odd to people now, but in Ancient Greece, no one knew better. They had never heard of
anything called time, or the sun and moon. Everything was always the same, no light nor dark, no
time, and no worry. Athens was beyond compare to any other place, but there was soon to be and

Well, then I have questions for you. Is granite a rock and are rocks living. Well if you said yes to both

Essay On Alimony Paper
When couples divorce, it is not uncommon for one spouse to be left unable to support him or herself.
In these cases, the Court may order the spouse with the greater income to pay alimony to the spouse in
need. Alimony, also called spousal maintenance, is a crucial financial safety net for spouses who
cannot support themselves after divorce. There are several different kinds of Florida alimony that
serve various purposes. Alimony can be temporary, bridge the gap, rehabilitative, durational, or
permanent.
Temporary alimony may be awarded while the divorce is pending, to be terminated once the divorce is
finalized. Temporary alimony helps the supported spouse meet their immediate financial needs until a
final alimony award can be ordered. Bridge the gap alimony is short term alimony used to help the
supported spouse maintain the standard of living they enjoyed during the marriage until they can
become self supporting. Bridge the gap alimony cannot exceed two years and cannot be modified.
Rehabilitative alimony may be awarded to a spouse so they can prepare to enter the workforce. ...

The Government As An Intermediate Agency
The government is an intermediate agency which has the main, though by no means the exclusive,
responsibility for society s adherence to the principles which favour increased autonomy and respect
for people s choices.
When one thinks about the work of governments throughout history, they look like extremely
obnoxious, or at least dangerous, artefacts, for which the need, and, consequently, the conditions and
limits, require moral justification. The mere fact that the government prescribes something to us does
not morally justify our doing it (though it may prudentially justify it, and therefore, in some cases it
may morally excuse it). The decision to obey a government must be an autonomous one one that, like
any decision which can affect other people, we should justify on the basis of a freely accepted moral
principle. But if this is so, to what extent are we really obeying the government and not simply
governing ourselves? And if the moral person always governs himself, what, for him, is the moral
relevance of having a government (besides solving co ordination problems or altering the factual
setting)?
The era of wars and terrorism was followed by segregation, racial sub ordination, and complacence.

Everyman Wealth
Introduction
Money, fame, and fortune rules all. It seeps into the lives of people and is the underlying control
mechanism of decisions and actions. The need for either of these things is common among all people.
In an idea society, religion would be the underlying control mechanism of people s decisions and
actions; however, it is not. Everyman is a prime example of how religion, even in the 15th century,
struggled to be a predominate force in humanity s existence. This essay will examine the human race s
abandonment of the Lord s will and determine how Everyman presents the idea of material wealth.
Sex and Material Wealth
Sex and money are two things that go hand in hand. Once one acquires the other the missing piece is
not too far behind. This quote is a perfect example of Everyman s view of wealth, ...His mind is on
fleshly lust and his treasure, And great pain it shall cause him to endure Before the Lord Heaven
King... This quote suggests that the epitome of earthly life is to have lots of sex and acquire lots of
riches. However, the Lord did not give humanity life to squander in such a way and he will send Death
to bring hunans to judgement for their coveting of material wealth and sex.

The establishment of naval bases by Congress is an example of an implied power. The Constitution

Second Earl Of Rochester Essay
The satirists shared a talent for making other individuals feel uncomfortable, particularly by making
them aware of their own moral inadequacies. They used irony, derision, and wit to attack human vice
or folly. One method the satirist utilized to catch their readers attention, while also making them feel
uncomfortable, was to describe those things that were deemed inappropriate to discuss openly in
society. The classical example of a topic that was discussed behind closed doors, yet the satirist used
freely, was sex. Mention of such things as sex can always bring a giggle, excite feelings of hidden
passion, or make one s cheeks rosy from embarrassment. John Wilmot, Second Earl of Rochester, and

In Rochester s Upon His Drinking a Bowl, Rochester joins the aspect of alcohol with that of sex:
Cupid, and Bacchus, my Saints are,
May drink, and Love, still reign,
With Wine, I wash away my cares,
And then to Cunt again.
This attitude of sex and drunkenness is often associated with the ancient Greeks and Romans, who
Rochester makes reference to through Cupid and Bacchus. The wine serves as a tool to rid oneself of
their grasp on reason. It often drives away the feeling of anxiety that often exist between a man and
women during times of intimacy. It allows one to satisfy their bodily pleasure.
The graphic word quot;Cunt quot; not only serves as a symbol of sex and the female genitalia but is
also used to bring about the disgust of any moralist or any rational individual. A reasonable man
would like to think that men do not view sex and women in such a derogatory manner. According to
Rochester, this is not so. Men are crude creatures that do think of sex and women in such a manner.

Communities in Contact:
How Conflicting Ideals Can Shape a Community
If we do not have contact with others, would defining who we are even be necessary? The answer is
no. If there were no other groups in which we communicated with, we would not need to separate
ourselves. It is through interactions with other groups that we decide what will distinguish us as a
people. This can mean the absorption of another s ideals or the complete rejection of them. Either way,
the contact is necessary for defining every community. Contact with other communities, be it trade

They began equating spices with luxury and eventually magic. However, unlike modern times, these
two concepts were linked to a negative connotation. In her piece detailing the spice trade, Pollard even
goes so far as to call it the offense of magic . This association suggests the Romans did not strive for
excess or luxury and instead valued a hardworking, practical life (though their definition of such a life
was most assuredly different than current ideas). Beyond just establishing societal values, this open
trade allowed for a growth in the economy and in literature. Many authors went to write stories based
on these spices. They wrote of witches and mages that used these herbs to cast dreadful spells. Art is a
physical expression of a culture and literature is considered under the category of art. These works that
defined the culture would not have been possible had the Indians never opened the spice trade. Mali is

Comparing Comedy And Tragedy Of Greek Theatre
In contrast to the drama and tragedy of Greek theater, we have comedy. Comedy was added as an
afterthought to some Greek tragedies with the intention to send the audience home in a lighter, happier
state of mind. There are many levels and types of comedy. I will be exploring four of them today;
satire, comedy of character, farce and parody.
I will begin with satire. Satire is a form of comedy that plays on people s weaknesses and makes fun
of problems in society. It is often used to express opinions and criticisms of politics or other topical
issues by making fun of those involved. The satirist intends to make his audience laugh while getting
across his opinion of how to better society. Jon Stewart, formerly of The Daily Show, is probably

Prohibition And The Prohibition Of America
The prohibition was a divided experiment that unintentionally brought organized crime, flourished the
presence of speakeasies in America and created a high rise of criminals in America. The backfiring of
the prohibition brought America an uprising in organized crime; criminals and the consumption,
manufacturing and selling of alcohol became more expensive and profitable to those involved. Silk
suits, guns, money and booze were the popular credentials amongst the finest in the bootlegging and
mob business. The prohibition had been recognized as an extraordinary business opportunity and was
exploited as such. In most major cities, gangs had been stocking up on alcohol in anticipation for the
beginning of the ban, leaving them with a guaranteed profit. Alcohol became a keen part of the more
urban culture of the 1920s despite the ban. People sought out alcohol at illegal bars, known as
speakeasies and through bootlegging. The authorities of the time had earned the reputation of turning a
blind eye to the illegal consumption and production of alcohol, for the right price. Gangsters ruled the
cities and in most cases, owned their streets. Bribing government officials was common, and people
were increasingly crafty in the way they would hide alcohol such as hollowed out canes, false books
and hip flasks. Violence on the streets increased, as did unemployment. Tim Nash, The Finer Times
The prohibition created drastic changes in the way of thinking for the common criminal. The

Photography Observation Papers
On March 26, 2014 I visited a one artist photography exhibition held in the Thomas F. Riley terminal
at John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana, California. This exhibition featured photography by Kevin Warn.
The type of work on display varied from black and white and color prints to very large prints, 16x20
or larger and smaller 8x10 prints. Most of the photos were printed on canvas and the others did not
mention the process that was used. Photographer Kevin Warn is a Wedding and Life Portraiture
photographer. His background includes photojournalism, high fashion photography, wedding

I liked the composition of this photo. It was taken from underneath, looking down the length of the
pier. What I loved about this photo is that the pillars closest to the lens are much distorted and the
Pacific Ocean has soothing yet eerie radium like glow to it. It s a very strange photograph and I
absolutely loved it. The second photo was titled The Coffee Shop. Photo is a black and white print
taken in Italy 2010. It is of a group of men (I think) and they appear to be walking in the middle of a
road or alley away from the camera. What really liked about this photo is the graininess of it and the
contrast of the snow covered street and the dark clothing that the men are wearing. What I loved about
this photo is that I could feel the bone chilling cold, like I was actually there.
The last photo was another black and white print. This photo was titled Canals and was taken in
Amsterdam 2010. This photo seems to be taken from a bridge crossing over the canal or maybe from
some sort of vessel on the canal. I m just taking guesses; I am not familiar with Amsterdam. I liked
this photo because I can see all the way down this canal and there is so much detail in both the
shadows and the highlights of the photo, just

Achilles Is The First Tragic Hero
THESIS STATEMENT
Euripides Achilles is seen as the first tragic hero because he has all the criteria of a tragic hero high
social position, undergoes reversal of fortune, and a tragic flaw but he does not have a tragic downfall.
PURPOSE STATEMENT Through critical essays, research, and reading The Iliad, it can be perceived
that Achilles is the first tragic hero in dramatic history.
INTRODUCTION
Throughout The Iliad, it is debated whether Achilles is the tragic hero or Hector. Looking at the
lifestyle of Achilles, it is clear that he is the prototype of the tragic hero. According to Ian Johnston,
This development is unique to [Achilles] in the poem and is close enough to what tragic heroes go
through to enable us to say that he enters the realm of tragic experience (Johnston). Achilles shatters
the belief that Hector is not the first hero when the story told in Euripides The Iliad showed many
more of the characteristics of the tragic hero in Achilles that we all know today. The criteria of the
tragic hero aligns perfectly with Achilles since he has a tragic flaw, which is his intense and
unquenchable rage, also he is in a high social position, because he is an invulnerable general and demi
god. He also experiences a reversal of fortune through his faults and crimes. He would be considered
the perfect tragic hero if he only had a tragic downfall, which he does not since The Iliad ends at the
funeral of Hector.
AN UNCONTROLLABLE FLAW Achilles tragic flaw is

On August 25, 1967, John Patler shot George Lincoln Rockwell through the window of his car, . John
Patler was waiting for George Rockwell to come out of the laundromat, on top of a hair salon across
the street.Rockwell was the founder and leader of the, American Nazi Party. George Rockwell was a
White Nationalist and supported the 14 WORDS, which is a 14 word slogan that goes: We must
secure the existence of our people and a future for White Children. George Rockwell despised black
people, but was willing to become allies with one, Elijah Muhammad, because he had shared the same
goals. In, 1960 s George Rockwell was considered a joke by many of his non followers. Today,
George Rockwell is still a distant thought placed in the backs of our minds. This is only because John

Consent In Nursing Essay
This essay will focus on the importance of consent in adult nursing and in child nursing. Consent is a
fundamental part of the nursing process and is a legal, ethical and professional requirement all adult
nurses are obliged to adhere to. Consent is important, as it promotes patient s autonomy and human
rights. It gives people the right to contribute to the decisions made regarding their care and treatment,
giving them the right to consent or refuse. Buka, (2015)
The first point of focus in this essay will be on consent within adult field and the guidance nurses must
be aware of. It will then discuss what makes consent valid and what guidance an adult must be aware
of where a patient lacks capacity.
The second focus will be of consent in child ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Child nurses can also use the Gillick and Fraser guidelines where assessing if a child is competent and
mature enough to make decisions regarding their healthcare. They should also refer to The Children
Act 2004 for the rights of the child.
The way in which they need to communicate will differ, as they will need to incorporate ways such as
play with children depending on the age. The communication from a child nurse will need to be at a
much lower level than with adults, unless there is a disturbance to the mind or brain of the adult.
Which determines a lack of mental capacity. MCA, (2005)
Ensuring confidentiality is essential in both fields, where consent is concerned it enables patients to
make decisions free from coercion from family and friends.
Consent is a fundamental part of nursing and all nurses must gain it before any form of healthcare is
carried out on patients. NMC, (2015). All patients have the right to make informed decisions regarding
their care and where they lack mental capacity, they still have the right for nurses to make sure they

Portrait of Blood The Tragedy of Julius Caesar by William...
What does one think when the word blood is said? Death? Betrayal? Sadness? Blood is a prime
example of imagery. Imagery paints a picture within the readers minds and puts them in the same
situation that the sentence is portraying. Having imagery in a work, makes a reader more into the piece
and involved. In The Tragedy of Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare, blood is a device most often
symbolizing betrayal by the conspirators, the death of Julius Caesar, and foreshadowing the upcoming
events through Mark Antony s eyes.
Julius Caesar s death came about by the betrayal of the conspirators. Brutus was one of Caesar s
closest friends, but his dagger was the last to break through Caesar s cloak. The commoners and
Antony were shocked to see the whole scene as the conspirators stream forth thy blood from Caesar.
(III, i, 201) This image allows the reader to really visualize how Caesar actually died in the hands of
the other conspirators. Mark Antony felt betrayed by not just Brutus, but all of the conspirators. He
was devastated, but managed to stay dignified by shaking the bloody fingers of thy foes . (III, i, 198)
The image of blood on each of the hands of the conspirators resulted in Caesar dying by betrayal.
Blood and betrayal make the reader think that it would lead Mark Antony s actions to reflect those of
the conspirators, but he perseveres and just asks for one chance to speak at Julius funeral. Betrayal by
one person can lead to the leadership of another.

Theistic Evolution Research Paper
One might ask, what is theistic evolution? The answer might not be as simple as it would seem.
Theistic Evolution takes on many different aspects in ones life and can also lead one astray from the
true joy of what God has in store for a persons life. To define theistic evolution one would have to go
back and reveal what the belief actually is. It has been said that if one were to take the Bible literally,
then that person would be a fool. Those of us who believe in God as creator and author of all that exist
must be those fools they speak of and proud of it. Theistic evolution is one of three major origin of life
worldviews, the other two being atheistic evolution (also commonly known as Darwinian evolution
and naturalistic evolution) ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The two theistic evolution viewpoints disagree as to the role God played in the unfolding of events,
but they generally agree on the Darwinian timeline. This timeline is in conflict with the Genesis
creation account. For example, Genesis 1 says that the earth was created on day one and the sun,
moon, and stars were not created until day four. Some argue that the wording of Genesis suggests the
sun, moon, and stars were actually created on day one but they could not be seen through earth s
atmosphere until day four, leading to their placement on day four. This is a bit of a stretch, as the
Genesis account is pretty clear that the earth did not have an atmosphere until the second day. If the
sun, moon, and stars were created on day one, they should have been visible on day

Insanity Plea Essay
Insanity Plea Insanity, comes from the Latin word sanus, meaning healthy. Insane is meant to be the
opposite, sick or of unsound mind. # In the court of law, the jury must prove that at the time of the
crime, the defendant was not in a sane mind. The attorneys job is to prove without a doubt, that the
defendant was not in control of their actions, at the time the crime was committed. Once this is done
and the verdict is given, if found guilty by reason of insanity, the person is usually sent to a mental
hospital, where treatment can be give. Once at the hospital the patient is then give therapy and even
drugs if needed. At the time when the person and the doctors feel he/she are capable of going back

A person also can be found not guilty by reason of insanity if he or she did know what was happening
but did not understand that it was wrong. Since this rule requires a disease or defect of the mind, the
lowering of a person s inhibitions by drugs, alcohol, blind hatred, extreme anger or some neurotic
behavior would not provide an insanity defense.
However, more recently states have been adopting a more interpretative view on the insanity plea. The
American Law Institute (ALI) requires the defendants to be judged and found not guilty if either two
of theses points can be adequately established in the court of law. First of all they must show that due
to an mental disease or defect the defendants lacked, at the time, the substantial mental capacity either
to understand what they did, and, secondly to conform their act to the requirements of the law.# In the
court of law you can also plea that at the time of the crime you were in a diminished capacity,
incapable of premeditation. Which means that even though you are sane in your everyday life at the
time of the crime you were in a sudden mad rage, causing you to act the way you did, so therefore you
were temporarily insane. While an insanity defense could be raised in almost

The word Omnibus is a term frequently used to explain a proposed law that covers several diverse or
unrelated to government topics. This is the hinging factor that leads to Government shutdowns in most
cases. Complicated topics like funding abortion through Medicaid, act as continuous causes for
spending gaps through disagreement. Though these issues typically come to be resolved, many of the
leading issues cause if not one, then multiple shutdowns until an agreement is made. Government
shutdowns throughout the past have had many impacts on jobs, vets, active military, disabled, and
average American workers. A seemingly simple 6 day government shutdown costs Americans on
average 800 million dollars. In lost revenue alone 400 million dollars as well as another 400 million
dollars to furloughed federal employees according to D. Matthews of the Washington Post is lost. ()
Some people argue that a Government shutdown is healthy on the economy. On the contrary
Government shutdowns increase Government spending to balance the amounts owed to employees
and businesses as well as halt basic progression in U.S. funded programs. Basic functions that play
crucial roles in Americans lives are affected during these times such as Social Security, Healthcare,

TCF7L2 Case Study
Discussion
TCF7L2 has been shown to be associated with T2MD in multiple ethnic groups. In the past two years
common single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP), rs7903146, located in intron 3 of the TCF7L2, has
been shown to be one of the most convincing susceptibility variants for T2DM. In the present report,
we examined the association betweenrs7903146 of the TCF7L2and serum leptin and ghrelin level, in
control and T2D subjects.
It is important to consider that TCF7L2 is expressed in different tissues, having important roles in
glucose metabolism such as gut, brain, liver, skeletal muscle, fat, and bones )24(.
The recent researches also have shown that leptin and ghrelin plays an important role in maintaining
the energy balance of the organism ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the current study, there is a significant negative correlation between leptin and ghrelin, , meaning
when one increases, the other decreases.
Some other studies also have shown a negative correlation between leptin and ghrelin levels in the
body (37,38).
In our study population, there is a significant association between the T allele of the rs7903146 and
T2D. The odds ratio of T allele in the present study was (CI 95%; 0.26 (0.12,0.57), 1.36, p=0.26).
The OR obtained in this study is higher than almost all other ORs in the previous studies in other
populations, showing the importance of this SNP in Iranian population.
In our study, the frequency of TT genotype of the SNP examined was significantly higher in T2D
subjects, compared to the control subjects (50.6 vs. 15.6%, respectively; p 0.001), while the CC and
CT genotype frequency of SNP, rs7903146 were higher in control than patient subjects. The risk for
T2D was significantly higher for the TT genotype, compared with the CC genotype, resulted in odds
ratio of (95% CI: 0.12(0.42,0.32), 2.15, p 0.001)
In line with our allele frequency results, Amoli et al. (39) also reported Allele and genotype
frequencies were significantly different between patients and controls TT vs. CT + CC [p 0.0081 OR
3.4 95%CI (1.27 11.9)] and T vs. C allele [p0.02 OR 1.4 95%CI (1.03 1.9)].

These dispute first initiated in 1865 with an English scientist, Francis Galton who began studying the
correlation on hereditary and success (Behavioral Neuroscience Web Ring Macalester College).
Convinced, based on his evidence, that success and other abilities were mostly based on hereditary
factors, he deduced that intelligence must be bred and not trained (Wilderdom, 2005). He then
opposed those who believed in the environmental effects on intelligence (Behavioral Neuroscience
Web Ring Macalester College). For centuries, this debate had no clear conclusion but many theories
and hypothesis. Although both the nature and nurture side has find great amount of evidence, it is still
undecided which side has more effects in one s intelligence. First, the theory about how genes can
affect your intelligence can be tested thanks to the birth of monozygotic or identical twins born from
the same cell (Behavioral neuroscience Web Ring Macalester College). Because children share 50% of
their genes with each of their parents, this then becomes an interesting area of research because they
could compare monozygotic twins who share 100 percent of their genes. This is good because they
both obtained 50% of their parents genes plus they are identical twins so this gives a great window to
research. In

  • 2. HR and the Competiton for Talent Essay In today s competitive workforce, talent is not only incremental, but also scarce. War for talent, a term coined by Steven Hankin of McKinsey Company, refers to the competitive landscape of talent management of skilled and valuable employees. Talent management is defined as the implementation of integrated strategies or systems designed to increase workplace productivity by developing improved processes for attracting, developing, retaining and utilizing people with the required skills and aptitude to meet current and future business needs (Lockwood, 2006). This paper talks about the challenges faced by organizations and how organizations use strategic HR to overcome concerns regarding attraction, recruitment and retention of talented ... As one of the large scaled companies Deloitte and the Westpac Group understand the challenges associated with employee satisfaction. Both of these companies improved their IT and Information and Communication Technology structure respectively by providing their staff with the appropriate technology to carry out tasks from the comfort of their homes. Westpac allows applicable employees the option to work from home and telecommute, this is mutually sustainable with the company philosophy that acts a vital contributor to attract lateral hires (Deloitte, 2013). Not only did Deloitte and Westpac recognize that in order for their telecommuting program to work they needed to provide the staff with the right tools to do the job efficiently and compliantly, they were also able to connect to a wider range of their staff. Empirical research conducted by Deloitte shows that to Only 62% of employees without access to flexible IT policies report feeling satisfied at work. Up to 83% of employees with access to flexible IT policies (such as social media access) report feeling satisfied at work (Deloitte, 2013). Telecommuting plays a substantially large role in the strategic HR department, which includes employee satisfaction. A categorical and strategic plan that leaves no room for ... • 3. Capitalism Vs Religion Exam #3 Capitalism thrives in the United States in a manner different than anywhere else in the world. As time passed, it became apparent that spending and creating secured the power it currently possesses. While this country appears to be secular in the way it is regulated, it in actuality owes its economic success to religion. Reality is, the notion of capitalism and the American work ethic is owed to Protestants, despite the secular worldview Americans have held in more recent times. Weber argues that the Protestant work ethic provided a foundation for the success of capitalism in the secular sphere of collective society. The calling derived such practicality in terms of economics through its individualistic approach to eternal salvation. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Worshippers of the faith were now more inclined to save and invest wisely in all their economic endeavors. Because of the practicality implemented in their faith, the Protestants became committed to practicing smarter tactics to obtain a place in Heaven. The role that these ideas played in the formation of their economic success, was integral to not only their success, but the rise of capitalism in the United States. The ideas that were derived from this faith soon became the spirit of capitalism. This spirit was easily applicable to capitalism, and the practices and methods the Protestants developed soon became more commonplace within collective society. The ascetic practices that were being implemented in the United States were now integral to credit and value, which is a core belief of Protestantism. However, despite the success that the United States now possessed due to the rise of capitalism in their society, they reached a level of idleness in their spirit. By complying to economic modesty, the average American worker was now trapped in an iron cage . This iron cage refers to the over rationalization of the United States with their money. By becoming conscious of their actions and aware of the result that followed, the workers spirit died a little. The calling soon enough became an illusion that existed long ago in a different society, but is now ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Constantine s Use Of Constantinople As A Site Of Byzantium Constantinople was a city strategically built both on the outside and inside. Constantine founded Constantinople on the remains of Byzantium for economic and military reasons, which were excellently seen through in the city. With the benefits of those actions, Constantine developed a rich and religious community for his citizens. The site of Byzantium was located on a peninsula and therefore had innate advantages with trade and protection. Being surrounded by water meant trade across the Black Sea from the front and two ports on the sides. This led to economic diversity and prosperity. The water also served as a means of protection, as invaders were not likely to attack via fleet. With danger primarily coming from one side of the city, a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Compare And Contrast Canadian Culture Vs American Culture Canadas s culture is in many ways very similar to our culture in the United States. This in part due to our proximity to one another. However despite the similarities of our two countries there is some very distinct differences between the two. We as Americans make several misconceptions about the large country to our north, which are made out of ignorance. Such as the Title of this essay. In this essay I will provide you with some brief history about Canada and its establishment. As well as elaborate on many key characteristics, holidays and demographics of that make up what it is to be a Canadian. The largest ethnic demographic of the Canadian population are either English Canadian or French Canadian, making up a staggering 80% of the population of Canada. Most of the French Canadians located mostly in Quebec can trace their lineage back to the first French colonial families. After whiles the second largest ethnic group is Asians. Making up four percent of the population many of these people migrated to Canada for their willingness to work for low pay in dangerous conditions for the construction of the Canadian Pacific Railroad. Blacks make up three percent of the population and are Canada s largest minority. Many of these people are fairly recent immigrant families from Africa or the Caribbean, but there is a small minority of black Canadians that can trace their roots to the millions of African Slaved imported during the era of the Slave trade. Canada has taken the stance that everyone is equal, and because of this multi culturalism has thrived within the large country over the past 4 decades. Their brand of multiculturalism does not impose a burden to assimilate into idealized norms of what a Canadian is. The country which was once 97% white back in 1981, It now welcomes roughly 300,000 immigrants a year 80% of those are non white immigrants. Of course there is still some level discrimination and social tension caused between the multiple cultures that inhabit Canada, but it is their practice ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Specific goals for this general social movement had been to improve the circumstances in terms of rights, privileges, freedom of speech, educational reform, and campus life style. The Students Rights Movement began with two movements: the Free Speech Movement and the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, including many different court cases and examples of students radically changing the social aspect of education. The Free Speech Movement had been the first 1960 s student movement to emphasize students rights at the University of California, Berkeley (Singleton and Wilden 688). Students felt restrained by ... In a landmark case known as In re Gault, which concerned the arrest of a 15 year old Arizona boy, the Court ruled that teenagers have distinct rights under the U.S. Constitution (10 Supreme Court Cases Every Teen Should Know). This was the case that started teenagers to have their own rights, because before that case, the law regarded children as their parent s property. Another case in 1966 called Kent v. United States was about a 16 year old named Morris Kent from Washington D.C. Kent had been on probation since he was 14 for burglary and theft, had also been arrested and charged with three home burglaries, three robberies, and two counts of rape. Because of the seriousness of Kent s crime history, the prosecutor moved to try Morris in adult court. Without a hearing, the judge sent Kent to adult court, where he was found guilty and sentenced to 30 to 90 years in prison. The Supreme Court ruled against Kent, but the Justices said that in deciding whether to remove a case from juvenile court, judges must weigh a variety of factors, including the seriousness of the crime; the juvenile s age; and the defendant s criminal background and mental state. Because of this case, many states can try teenagers under 18 as adults for crimes such as murder, sexual assault, or possession or sale of drugs, with punishments that range up to life in prison without the possibility of parole (10 Supreme Court Cases Every Teen ... From the cases discussed in lecture and discussion, there are two cases that have a strong, direct correlation to the cases and many others that have a secondary or weaker correlation to the legislation. Windsor (2012) has the greatest correlation because of the topic at hand. Windsor challenged the constitutionality of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) citing that the act discriminated against the ability of Edith Windsor to collect her spouse s estate by imposing estate taxes that other non same sex couples were not subject to. Lopez (1995) handled the issue of carrying a gun in a school zone and whether Congress had the ability to regulate that. The court, in a 5 4 decision, said no, that the act of carrying a gun does not substantially effect commerce. Congress overstepped its bounds. Justice Breyer dissented claiming a three prong approach of which the court should consider significant effect , the act as a whole, and whether Congress had a rational basis. Morrison (2000) struck down, in a 5 4 decision, the constitutionality of the Violence Against Women Act claiming that the there is no activity regulated that can be argued under the Commerce Clause. Justice Breyer s dissent points out the mountain of data showing the effects of violence against women on interstate commerce and that the court should defer to Congress. Gonzalez (2005) supports Congress s Commerce Clause powers by finding the Controlled Substances Act constitutional and Justice Steven s opinion stated that Congress had the power to regulate local activities that are part of a class of activities. Swift (1904) questioned the ability of Congress to regulate a meat trust but the 9 0 decision solidified Congress s ability to regulate commerce due to the indirect and direct affects on interstate commerce. Here we see the beginning of the stream of commerce. Schechter (1934) is opposite of this decision. The poultry in this case was found to not have entered the stream of ... Once HFSS is successfully integrated with ANSYS, the electromagnetic response of the model is computed by HFSS. The following two types of losses are extracted from HFSS simulation outputs: (i) Surface loss density (W/m2), resulting from metallic losses. (ii) Volume loss density (W/m3), resulting from the dielectric losses. These electrical results including losses are imported to ANSYS, ANSYS maps the surface and volume losses from HFSS and conducts mechanical simulations to acquire thermal responses. The thermal response will be a function of the input power level of the microwave signal and also the frequency. The process is then reversed by importing the thermal results from ANSYS back to HFSS. EM simulations are carried out in HFSS to recalculate the losses and the process is repeated many times until a converged criterion is satisfied. The decision chart shown in Figure 3.1 explains the process [1]. Figure 3.3.1: Decision chart containing steps for iteration loop of HFSS ANSYS. The people of Athens brought joy to Olympias s heart. People at the time never seemed to rush or worry about whether they would be late for work or how much time they had left to play. Each one was always joyful and happy, no one knew about time. Soon they would, and Olympias knew this. There was no such thing as the sun or moon, it was never light nor was it dark. The Government As An Intermediate Agency The government is an intermediate agency which has the main, though by no means the exclusive, responsibility for society s adherence to the principles which favour increased autonomy and respect for people s choices. When one thinks about the work of governments throughout history, they look like extremely obnoxious, or at least dangerous, artefacts, for which the need, and, consequently, the conditions and limits, require moral justification. The mere fact that the government prescribes something to us does not morally justify our doing it (though it may prudentially justify it, and therefore, in some cases it may morally excuse it). The decision to obey a government must be an autonomous one one that, like any decision which can affect other people, we should justify on the basis of a freely accepted moral principle. But if this is so, to what extent are we really obeying the government and not simply governing ourselves? And if the moral person always governs himself, what, for him, is the moral relevance of having a government (besides solving co ordination problems or altering the factual setting)? The era of wars and terrorism was followed by segregation, racial sub ordination, and complacence. The backfiring of the prohibition brought America an uprising in organized crime; criminals and the consumption, manufacturing and selling of alcohol became more expensive and profitable to those involved. Silk suits, guns, money and booze were the popular credentials amongst the finest in the bootlegging and mob business. The prohibition had been recognized as an extraordinary business opportunity and was exploited as such. In most major cities, gangs had been stocking up on alcohol in anticipation for the beginning of the ban, leaving them with a guaranteed profit. Alcohol became a keen part of the more urban culture of the 1920s despite the ban. People sought out alcohol at illegal bars, known as speakeasies and through bootlegging. The authorities of the time had earned the reputation of turning a blind eye to the illegal consumption and production of alcohol, for the right price. • 26. Achilles Is The First Tragic Hero THESIS STATEMENT Euripides Achilles is seen as the first tragic hero because he has all the criteria of a tragic hero high social position, undergoes reversal of fortune, and a tragic flaw but he does not have a tragic downfall. PURPOSE STATEMENT Through critical essays, research, and reading The Iliad, it can be perceived that Achilles is the first tragic hero in dramatic history. INTRODUCTION Throughout The Iliad, it is debated whether Achilles is the tragic hero or Hector. Looking at the lifestyle of Achilles, it is clear that he is the prototype of the tragic hero. According to Ian Johnston, This development is unique to [Achilles] in the poem and is close enough to what tragic heroes go through to enable us to say that he enters the realm of tragic experience (Johnston). Achilles shatters the belief that Hector is not the first hero when the story told in Euripides The Iliad showed many more of the characteristics of the tragic hero in Achilles that we all know today. The criteria of the tragic hero aligns perfectly with Achilles since he has a tragic flaw, which is his intense and unquenchable rage, also he is in a high social position, because he is an invulnerable general and demi god. He also experiences a reversal of fortune through his faults and crimes. He would be considered the perfect tragic hero if he only had a tragic downfall, which he does not since The Iliad ends at the funeral of Hector. AN UNCONTROLLABLE FLAW Achilles tragic flaw is ... Imagery paints a picture within the readers minds and puts them in the same situation that the sentence is portraying. Having imagery in a work, makes a reader more into the piece and involved. In The Tragedy of Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare, blood is a device most often symbolizing betrayal by the conspirators, the death of Julius Caesar, and foreshadowing the upcoming events through Mark Antony s eyes. Julius Caesar s death came about by the betrayal of the conspirators. Brutus was one of Caesar s closest friends, but his dagger was the last to break through Caesar s cloak. The commoners and Antony were shocked to see the whole scene as the conspirators stream forth thy blood from Caesar. This timeline is in conflict with the Genesis creation account. For example, Genesis 1 says that the earth was created on day one and the sun, moon, and stars were not created until day four. Some argue that the wording of Genesis suggests the sun, moon, and stars were actually created on day one but they could not be seen through earth s atmosphere until day four, leading to their placement on day four. This is a bit of a stretch, as the Genesis account is pretty clear that the earth did not have an atmosphere until the second day. If the sun, moon, and stars were created on day one, they should have been visible on day ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 33. Insanity Plea Essay Insanity Plea Insanity, comes from the Latin word sanus, meaning healthy. Insane is meant to be the opposite, sick or of unsound mind. # In the court of law, the jury must prove that at the time of the crime, the defendant was not in a sane mind. The attorneys job is to prove without a doubt, that the defendant was not in control of their actions, at the time the crime was committed. Once this is done and the verdict is given, if found guilty by reason of insanity, the person is usually sent to a mental hospital, where treatment can be give. Once at the hospital the patient is then give therapy and even drugs if needed. At the time when the person and the doctors feel he/she are capable of going back into society, and when ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A person also can be found not guilty by reason of insanity if he or she did know what was happening but did not understand that it was wrong. Since this rule requires a disease or defect of the mind, the lowering of a person s inhibitions by drugs, alcohol, blind hatred, extreme anger or some neurotic behavior would not provide an insanity defense. However, more recently states have been adopting a more interpretative view on the insanity plea. The American Law Institute (ALI) requires the defendants to be judged and found not guilty if either two of theses points can be adequately established in the court of law. First of all they must show that due to an mental disease or defect the defendants lacked, at the time, the substantial mental capacity either to understand what they did, and, secondly to conform their act to the requirements of the law.# In the court of law you can also plea that at the time of the crime you were in a diminished capacity, incapable of premeditation. Which means that even though you are sane in your everyday life at the time of the crime you were in a sudden mad rage, causing you to act the way you did, so therefore you were temporarily insane. Though these issues typically come to be resolved, many of the leading issues cause if not one, then multiple shutdowns until an agreement is made. Government shutdowns throughout the past have had many impacts on jobs, vets, active military, disabled, and average American workers. A seemingly simple 6 day government shutdown costs Americans on average 800 million dollars. In lost revenue alone 400 million dollars as well as another 400 million dollars to furloughed federal employees according to D. Matthews of the Washington Post is lost. • 35. TCF7L2 Case Study Discussion TCF7L2 has been shown to be associated with T2MD in multiple ethnic groups. In the past two years common single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP), rs7903146, located in intron 3 of the TCF7L2, has been shown to be one of the most convincing susceptibility variants for T2DM. In the present report, we examined the association betweenrs7903146 of the TCF7L2and serum leptin and ghrelin level, in control and T2D subjects. It is important to consider that TCF7L2 is expressed in different tissues, having important roles in glucose metabolism such as gut, brain, liver, skeletal muscle, fat, and bones )24(. The recent researches also have shown that leptin and ghrelin plays an important role in maintaining the energy balance of the organism ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the current study, there is a significant negative correlation between leptin and ghrelin, , meaning when one increases, the other decreases. Some other studies also have shown a negative correlation between leptin and ghrelin levels in the body (37,38). In our study population, there is a significant association between the T allele of the rs7903146 and T2D. The odds ratio of T allele in the present study was (CI 95%; 0.26 (0.12,0.57), 1.36, p=0.26). The OR obtained in this study is higher than almost all other ORs in the previous studies in other populations, showing the importance of this SNP in Iranian population. In our study, the frequency of TT genotype of the SNP examined was significantly higher in T2D subjects, compared to the control subjects (50.6 vs. 15.6%, respectively; p 0.001), while the CC and CT genotype frequency of SNP, rs7903146 were higher in control than patient subjects. The risk for T2D was significantly higher for the TT genotype, compared with the CC genotype, resulted in odds ratio of (95% CI: 0.12(0.42,0.32), 2.15, p 0.001) In line with our allele frequency results, Amoli et al. (39) also reported Allele and genotype frequencies were significantly different between patients and controls TT vs. CT + CC [p 0.0081 OR 3.4 95%CI (1.27 11.9)] and T vs. C allele [p0.02 OR 1.4 95%CI (1.03 1.9)]. Rhetorical Analysis Of Florence Kelley s Speech In Florence Kelley s speech she states Tonight while we sleep, several thousand little girls will be working in textile mills, all the night through, in the deafening noise of the spindles and the looms spinning and weaving cotton and wool, silks and ribbons for us to buy (Kelley 18). She delivered this speech in front of the National American Woman Suffrage Association to bring attention to the two million children who are working in order to help support their family. Kelley continues to point out the flaws within the government as their are not many regulations that protect these children. She also talks about women suffrage during the time. As they are privileged because they now carry the stress and burden of staying up all night working. By Florence Kelley incorporating this oxymoron it displays the true unfairness about the current child labor persuading the the audience of the National American Woman Suffrage Association. By utilizing the oxymoron great evil reveals the irony of the child labor laws. Many are unconcerned about implementing regulations as they bring them many products. Intelligence is an important factor in our lives but what exactly is it? Intelligence has many different meanings due to different investigators having numerous definitions of it. For example, in a 1921 conference, American psychologists Lewis M. Terman and Edward L. Thorndike contrasted over the definition of intelligence, Terman believed that intelligence was the ability to think abstractly while Thorndike alleged that intelligence was learning and the ability to give good responses to questions (Sternberg, 2014). These dispute first initiated in 1865 with an English scientist, Francis Galton who began studying the correlation on hereditary and success (Behavioral Neuroscience Web Ring Macalester College). Convinced, based on his evidence, that success and other abilities were mostly based on hereditary factors, he deduced that intelligence must be bred and not trained (Wilderdom, 2005). He then opposed those who believed in the environmental effects on intelligence (Behavioral Neuroscience Web Ring Macalester College). For centuries, this debate had no clear conclusion but many theories and hypothesis. Although both the nature and nurture side has find great amount of evidence, it is still undecided which side has more effects in one s intelligence. First, the theory about how genes can affect your intelligence can be tested thanks to the birth of monozygotic or identical twins born from the same cell (Behavioral neuroscience Web Ring Macalester College). Because children share 50% of their genes with each of their parents, this then becomes an interesting area of research because they could compare monozygotic twins who share 100 percent of their genes. This is good because they both obtained 50% of their parents genes plus they are identical twins so this gives a great window to research. In ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
