Canada s Immigration Act And System
Each year lots of new migrants enter the Canadian economy therefore Canada has been classified as a
multi cultural country, and due to this our citizens are more socially and globally aware of what is
going on around them. Canada s immigration Act and system helps our country be more culturally
diverse, it increases economic growth, and make s Canada a safer place to be which we can call our
home. Along with new migrants coming every year, therefore ethnic communities are massively
increasing by population and size.
The Tamil community is a relatively new group. Some Tamils settled in Canada as early as the 1960s,
coming as independent immigrants. The vast majority, however, arrived in Canada after 1983 in the
aftermath of the 1983 Colombo riots in Sri Lanka. In 1983, the Canadian government took Tamils into
Canada under humanitarian and compassionate consideration. At the same time, a visa requirement
was imposed on Sri Lankans, making it very difficult to get here legally. In 1986, Minister s permits
were granted to some refugees allowing them to remain in Canada. Today Tamils continue to make up
one of the largest group of refugees seeking asylum in Canada. Ten percent of the persons seeking
asylum in Canada in 1999 originated from Sri Lanka. The majority of population has made Toronto its
new home with figures as high as 200,000+, of which the population has been divided into suburban
areas that consist of City of Toronto (Scarborough Community), Markham, Vaughan,

An effective business strategy and budgeting is very essential in a manufacturing industry. A company
without a proper business strategy and master budgeting plan would usually faces tremendous
challenges and losses during its business operations. The importance of company s business strategies

The company s creams inventory remains constant because it does not follow a trend in innovation
and changes so often as the other products. The surplus in inventory is a big disadvantage since; last
year s products may not be in style this year in addition to the cost of storage. For all these reasons
their cash flow is less in comparison with previous years causing that Luxor Cosmetics keeps
increasing their bank loans, creating more debt, making it harder to pay out as 2011. In this particular
situation the company could have either decrease its budgeted sales (productions) or increase its actual
sales by improving more effective marketing strategy and research and development of its products in
the markets. This way their inventory would decrease and their cash flow would increase. (Hopkins,
2009)
Further, through effective marketing strategy Luxor

Pontellier goes to the country club. In chapter 2, the reader learns that Edna s sister is getting married,
and that Robert may be interested in Edna. In chapter 3, Mr Pontellier calls Edna a bad mother, and
she cries on the porch as a result. In chapter 4, the reader meets Adele, somewhat of a foil to Edna.
Adele loves being a mother and respects all of the conventions of society. In Chapter 5, Edna and
Robert begin to flirt, but it quickly becomes clear that anything beyond casual courtship would be
scandalous in the eyes of society. In chapter 6, Edna begins to truly awaken . ... Show more content on

The Vibrant and Unpredictable Era of the Gilded Age
The Gilded Age was one of the most vibrant and unpredictable eras in the history of America. It
brought about a new wave of industrial and economic opportunities that allowed some to build
massive businesses and fortunes, while other lower and middle class citizens struggled to survive.
Some would go as far to say it created a war between the classes across American societies. Giants of
industry, such as Andrew Carnegie and John D. Rockefeller, revolutionized how big business led to
the rise of corporate America, but also how it leveled competition in the free market. The Gilded Age
offered America rapid economic growth and new technological products that created an economical
boom. Yet, these advancements were created at the costs of exploiting industrial workers and farmers
working long hours in dangerous conditions for low pay and the American people sought political and
social reforms in an effort to rebalance the scale of power in the United States. During the Gilded Age,
the American economy had shifted from a nation of small farmers and craftsmen to an economy
transformed by railroads and telephone lines that stretched from coast to coast. Confronted by new
models of economics and politics, unforeseen struggles caused farmers and laborers to fight for
survival while emerging industrialists celebrated new wealth.
This period of transition left much of the population without a voice. The wealthy seemed to be
running the country without any advice from lower

Argumentative Essay On Clickbait
22 Tips to Gain Weight FAST! You ll Never Look at Barbie Dolls the Same Way After You See THIS
Picture! Insurance Companies HATE this new trick! We ve all seen articles with similar headlines. In
fact, they ve gotten so common that we rarely think anything of them anymore. They re all over the
Internet on Facebook, on Twitter, on Instagram. However, although they may seem rather pointless or
annoying, there is a reason that journalists use clickbait to headline their articles. Justin Bariso argues
that although nearly nobody enjoys seeing clickbait, journalists utilize it simply because it is effective,
and people should be more understanding about it, as it is not pointlessly annoying. He strengthens his
argument throughout the article ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, this time, he uses direct evidence and sources. He uses data from the New York Times,
stating that changing the headline of an article can increase readership of articles by up to 1,677%.
This is a huge number, and plays on astonishment, as you wouldn t expect the number to be so high. It
also plays on logic, however, as it s understandable that the headline is so important. After all, the
headline is the first thing you see, and is the deciding factor on whether or not you click on the article,
so it makes sense for it to be significant to the number of reads on an article. Using a credible source
also establishes Bariso s credibility, as he has done research on this topic. By the end of his article,
Bariso wraps up his argument, stating just how important the headlines are. He does address the
counter argument slightly, which adds to his own argument. He states that the only problem with
clickbait is when the article itself doesn t live up to its name. Clickbait is only worth it, in his eyes, if
the article itself has quality content. If not, he agrees with the opposing viewpoint that clickbait is
rightfully frustrating for readers. After wrapping up his argument, Bariso makes another reference to
Seinfeld, and specifically towards the nemesis he spoke of earlier. Take that, Newman. This creates a
humorous ending, giving you a laugh at

Black or White
The ongoing struggle to fight the skin color prejudice in the contemporary American society is
portrayed in Michael Jackson s song Black or White. Whereas the racism is defined as a superior
behavior against other race thus making it inferior, the singer refers to this term as See, it s not about
races, just places, faces, where your blood comes from is where your space is. Michael Jackson, one
of the most influential artists in the music industry, calls for equality in how people view and behave
towards each other. The question, which this master thesis investigates, does it matter if you re black
or white, is clearly answered by the singer: It don t matter if you re black or white. Jackson was trying
to influence his society to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
So the race and color of your skin does matter in modern times. My analyses of selected books,
academic journals, films and music video will concentrate and argue if Americans indeed discriminate
against race or if it is history and no longer exists in American life. First, I would like to take into
consideration the iconic Michael Jackson, one of the greatest, perhaps the greatest singer and
performer of the 21st century. Not only his songs deserve a closer look, but also his lifestyle ideas,
fears and the public opinion. Black or White by Michael Jackson and Bill Bottrell is a one of the
greatest singles in Michael s career. It was released on November 11, 1991. What inspired Michael to
particularly select these two topics? Black or white as implied in the song, he sings about skin color.
Songs starts in Africa, possibly showing Jackson s beginning he is black. In one of the scenes, Michael
sings I ain t scared of no sheets; I ain t scared of nobody while he is walking through fire images
which is being compared to KKK and its torch ceremonies. Here, he is portraying his painful vision of
KKK and its vision. Later, the performers sing I m not gonna spend my life being a color. What a great
statement. Michael, throughout his whole life and his career, shows us his inner and constant fight for
a non racial

Batman, not Superman, Is the Better Superhero
Super heroes are fictional characters who possess amazing characters and often appear in comic
books. A super hero is someone who is well known for extraordinary characteristics or behaviors i.e.
strength, courage, nobility, fighting crime and seeking justice in their world. They often have special
powers and are clothed in special costumes that distinguish them from others. They live a life of a
loner as a means of protecting their identity and to maintain a high level of secrecy. They are well
celebrated all over the world and especially in their where they perform an act of heroism. A super
hero is known for good deeds and rarely practices bad deeds. They save people and help the weak out
of a problem. In my opinion I would say that superman is a more super hero than batman.
Superman also known as Man of steel is a known superhero. Since his creation he has been around for
approximately 60 years. Clark Kent is his real name. He is not a human and is from planet Krypton.
He was created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster high school students in 1933 (DC Comics, 2008). He
is said to be one of the most powerful superheroes in the universe possessing great knacks such as,
heat vision, great fighting skills, freezing breath, incredible super strength and high super speed. In
June 1938 he appeared in the televisions and radio stations films and videogames for the first time. He

Never Lasting Reputation Quotes
Never Lasting Reputation (Pages 198 218) I think that there is a good reason on why you should
maintain the reputation of a legendary pirate rather than there being only one real person. I believe this
because reputations should last for a long time. They should never disappear. When the real Dread
Pirate Roberts decided to retire he wanted to keep his reputation going, so he passed down the name to
his friend. Once he did this there was a fake Dread Pirate Roberts, but there was still the same
reputation. Every single fake Dread Pirate Roberts that was chosen by the earlier ones, all passed
down the same reputation. The real Dread Pirate Roberts did this because he wanted everyone ... Show

I think that younger kids can t handle bad endings to a book very well. Most kids are very upset if the
story doesn t turn out to be a good ending. The book is not what they want it to be, and they are upset.
One example of this is the first sentence. William Goldman wanted Westley to survive and get revenge
on Prince Humperdinck, but when his dad tells him that doesn t happen he gets upset. The main
reason he got upset is because it isn t what he wanted to happen in the story. He wanted the good guy
to survive and defeat the bad guy, but when his dad tells him that the bad guy defeats the good guy he
doesn t like it.
Therefore this leads me to thinking that there is value in telling sad stories to kids. It teaches them that
there isn t always a good ending in stories. This could help them relate to real life situations. They can
learn that not everything turns out good, and that it is okay for that to happen. In this case, they can
learn how to overcome these sad events, so they can be prepared for anything in the future. Everyone
needs to know how to overcome disappointing moments in life. Some could include, not winning a
basketball game, failing a test, or not getting a job you want. You can overcome these obstacles by
working harder, not being sad all the

Allegations Against The Kosovo Liberation Army
Two months ago Dick Marty s prominent report on human organ trafficking started a wind of change
for the newborn republic of Kosovo. In a detailed report named Inhuman treatment of people and
illicit trafficking in human organs in Kosovo , Marty, a former Swiss prosecutor and member of the
Swiss Liberal Party, alleged serious crimes committed by the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) during
the war in 1999. As the report itself states, Dick Marty resorts to the same allegations written in the
book of the former Prosecutor at International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTFY),
Carla Del Ponte. She revealed her memoirs and experiences within the tribunal in her book The hunt

Kosovo as an independent country is facing serious economic problems. Although the media
propagandizes its growth during the last two year, it is still the poorest country in the region and
decades will be needed to make obvious progress. For this reason Serbia s interest in a country like
Kosovo with very low level of development, high level of unemployment and serious debts, have
always surprised me. After Kosovo s independence, Serbia refuses to let go of the north of Kosovo
and continues to interfere by hoping that it can retain control of Mitrovica, where Trepca Mines are
located. Trepca has been a key source of development during Yugoslavia, as the statistics have shown
that it employed around 20,000 in the 1980s and produced 70% of the Yugoslav mineral reserve; while
Stan Terg, located in the southern Mitrovica, is controlled by Albanians and it is the only region where
the processing plants are still active and those controlled by Serbians are inactive. That is why I
believe that after the independence of Kosovo, Serbia s interest have shifted from symbolic, historic
claims to potential economic gains.
The Marty report is not a judicial document, but still it has been a headline around the world and a
major advantage for Serbia to blame Albanian criminals for what happened in Kosovo. However, no
one can guarantee that among many war crimes that have been committed during 1999, this cannot be

Bloody Sunday The events that took place on Bloody Sunday, 30th January 1972 have been discussed
frequently and certain aspects of the event highly debated. The events of the particular day were of
significant influence in further procedures in N. Ireland an on other related events. The event began
after an illegal march took place in the centre of Derry, N. Ireland; the police and government banned

It was thought by some that the IRA wanted a major gun battle, although others thought that if similar
events to those that took place in Magilligan, London would be shamed and therefore it would seem
that the British paratroopers would want to hold their fire against the Catholic demonstrators. Another
stance is that the Catholics were simply holding another peaceful protest. About a week before Bloody
Sunday, a two hour gunfight to place at Forkhill in County Armagh between British troops and the
IRA. About 1000 shots were fired. Because of all the violence of the previous weeks, which was
blamed on the IRA, the Protestant unionists felt that a tougher approach must be made to stop further
violence from occurring. After Bloody Sunday had taken place, the question of who was to blame and
more importunately for some, who had fired the first shot. Different accounts of the day can give us an
idea of what happened, although the evidence is far from conclusive. The official statement released
by the army and approved by Lieutenant General Sir Harry Tuzo stated that, ¡¥The paratroopers came

The Issue Of Annexation Movements Inside Canada
Isn t it sad to see a Parliament building burnt on the night of April 25th, 1849 to mark as one of our
historical importance of establishing Canada? The definition of annexation is to take over and
acquiring another state. Usually, it is implied that the territory and population being annexed is the
smaller and the weakest of the two merging state. By definition, Manifesto is a public declaration of
policy and aims. Annexation movements inside Canada were usually inspired by dissatisfaction with
Britain s colonial government of Canada. For example, a groups of Irish immigrants took the route of
attempting to annex the peninsula between the Detroit and Niagara Rivers to the U.S. by force in 1837
1838. The War of 1812 built up hatred overtime between the Americans and the British. But as a
result, there were no territorial changes. Another significant event before the Annexation Manifesto
was the Rebellion of 1837. It caused a backfire which led to a massive violence when Lower and
Upper Canada took arms to achieve a responsible government. Although the Rebellions of 1837 were
motivated in part by this type of dissatisfaction, Canadian resentment of British rule never reached the
degree that led to the American Revolution in 1775. Notably, Canada s population grew rapidly in the
late 18th and early 19th centuries. Canada s population grew due to United Empire Loyalists, who left
the American colonies during the Revolution because of their loyalty to Great Britain. In

2012 NFL Team Analysis
We are officially through two weeks of the 2016 NFL regular season and we are beginning to find out
which teams are good and not so good. As we head into Week 3, this is a pivotal time for some teams,
who are still winless on the season. Majority of these teams have played well one week and looked
bad the next, while others have lost by less than a less than a touchdown.
With that being, here are five teams that can t afford to lose in Week 3:
1. Buffalo Bills: The Bills begin this list as they are in trouble. Currently, they are 0 2 after going
down to their division rival New York Jets 37 31. Unlike, the first week of the season, the Bills offense

4. Indianapolis Colts: The Colts are not a very good football team this season and it s showing on both
sides of the ball. The defense is hurting and giving up a ridiculous 36.5 points per game, which frankly
will not win you any games in the NFL.
While on offense, quarterback Andrew Luck is doing everything in his power to will the team to
victory with a lack of a running game. Then to make matters worse, Indianapolis lost wide receiver
Donte Moncrief for 4 6 weeks with a fractured scapula.
With all those factors, it is not looking good for Indianapolis. However, they have a favorable matchup
this week against the San Diego Chargers. The Chargers are coming off a big win against the
Jacksonville Jaguars but lost running back Danny Woodhead to a torn ACL. With no Woodhead or
Keenan Allen, the Colts defense should not have any trouble in slowly down a Chargers offense that is
averaging 32.5 points per game.

Nature Is A Healing Force In Frankenstein

2.) Being away from nature/with mankind has negative effects in Romantic Literature.

Nature as a Healing Force Both born in the late 1700s, Shelley and Wordsworth lived in a time of
great appreciation for the sublimity of nature. Awe inspiring natural landscapes were often included in
their works. The power of nature is recognized in The Prelude and in Frankenstein by way of the
healing qualities the natural world possesses, and how it draws us out of melancholy and despair. To

Break A Leg Identity
A Mysterious Identity and Dark Humor Maintain Suspense in Break A Leg
By: Emma Morgan
Jesse Shamata s Break A Leg, which focuses on a hitman discussing his life philosophy with an
unknown subject, creates and sustains suspense through the combination of a hidden identity and dark
humor.
Concealing the identity of the person sitting with the main character a hitman is what makes this short
film particularly unique and intriguing. It s not often that a film leaves the viewer wondering who the
protagonist is talking to until its last few minutes. This technique builds suspense because the viewer
doesn t know what the hitman s intentions are in talking to this person, if this person will be harmed
by the end of the film, or even what this person looks like.
The extreme close ups of the hitman as he talks about harming people also add to this suspense
because they prevent the viewer from seeing much of the hitman s surroundings at the beginning of
the film. Instead, the viewer is forced to focus on the hitman s hardened appearance and his rough
voice. However, there are some shots of other characters reacting to what the hitman is saying ... Show

The viewer wonders why the hitman is going through the trouble of explaining his craft if his goal is
simply to injure or kill the person with whom he is talking. It seems especially odd that the hitman
would go on an extended tangent about being able to tell if a person is a folder or a crumpler. (This is
in reference to how a person uses toilet paper.) He relates this back to how much control people want
to have in their lives and how this affects them. This sequence, in particular, utilizes a dark sense of
humor. It forces the viewer to laugh at the absurdity of this conversation about bathroom habits, while
they remain frightened for whomever the hitman is telling this

Essay on Merton s Strain Theory
In Merton s (1938) strain theory social structures account for the criminal tendencies found in
offenders. Individuals adjust to societal pressures in five distinct ways. Adaptation I, which entails
conforming to both culture norms and means, is the most common. The popularity of this adaptation
allows a society to function effectively. In contrast, adaptation IV is the least common and gives rise
to the rejection of both cultural goals and means. Those that adopt this culture pattern are societal
misfits and usually include some such persons as psychotics, psychoneurotics, chronic autists,
vagrants, and chronic drunkards or drug addicts.
Sykes and Matza s (1957) control theory postulates that acts of delinquency are generally not ... Show

Second, he could deny injury, which means he does not see his actions as harmful. Third, he may deny
there was a victim. In short, the victim had it coming or deserved it. Fourth, he could condemn the
condemners. For example, he may blame the legal system and accuse it of being the real criminals.
Fifth, he could appeal to higher loyalties. In short, adhering to the loyalties of a small group rather
than the society at large.
Gottfredson and Hirschi s (1990) control theory regards parental controls as key in developing self
control, which is related to crime. People who show low self control tend to live in the here and now,
whereas those who have better self control like to defer gratification. For example, criminal acts
provide excitement, have few long term benefits, and require little preparation. Moreover, they cause
pain to their victims, which is correlated to being self centered and insensitive both qualities of people
with low self control.
A major cause of low self control is improperly raising a child (Gottfredson and Hirschi, 1990). In
fact, research has shown that affection, supervision, and discipline have all been absent from the
homes of delinquents. In order to teach children self control someone must at least monitor the child s
behavior, recognize deviant behavior when it occurs, and punish this kind of behavior.
In strain theories the nature of man is regarded as a product of external

Global warming is one of the most critical issues faced by both humans and animals. The increase of
earth s temperature leads to climate change, eventually, making life much harder for people in
developing countries and causing animals to become extinct. For decades this problem has been
slowly growing day by day. In recent years, dependency on fossil fuels has increased immensely, to
the point where it fuels daily activities. However, it is important to take into consideration that while
fossil fuels provide tremendous amounts of energy, there are several adverse effects and disadvantages
to using it as a source of fuel. As an alternative to fossil fuels, renewable sources such as nuclear,
hydrogen, or solar energy and biofuels can be used to meet energy demands. Fossil fuels are
considered to be unsustainable, environmentally destructive, inefficient, and the primary contributor of
global warming. It is estimated that about eighty eight percent of global energy is produced by burning
fossil fuels1. Additionally, only twelve percent of global energy is produced by alternative energy
sources1. It is time for individuals to think whether alternative energy resources can efficiently replace
fossil fuels.
Using alternative energy increases the nation s stability economically and environmentally, which
reduces Canada and the United States dependency on foreign energy sources6. However, many
technological difficulties need to be analyzed and resolved before alternative energy

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Rhizoctonia
1.1 Introduction of Rhizoctonia solani and its Anastomosis Groups
The soilborne Basidiomycete fungus Rhizoctonia solani Kühn [telomorph= Thanatephorus cucumeris]
is reported to cause economically important diseases on vegetables, fruits, staple crops and ornamental
plants throughout the world (Jones and Belmar, 1989; Naito et al., 1995; Yang et al., 1990). The
systematic of R. solani has been studied using morphological (Warcup et al., 1966; Sneh et al., 1991)
and molecular characters (Vilgalys and Gonzalez, 1990; Vilgalys and Cubeta, 1994). Some most
common and speculiar features of Rhizoctonia like branching at right angle, a constriction at the

cucumeris (R. solani) were done on the formation of hetrokaryotic tufts at the site of their hyphal
connection between single spore homokaryotic cultures. In AGs 1 and 4, hetrokaryon formation
between two homokaryon is controlled by two closely linked genes which together referred as H
factor. Paired homokaryons that carry H factor differing at one or both genes microscopically showing
C2 reaction produce fluffy tufts of heterokaryotic hyphae. Later studies revealed that H factor was also
controlling nuclear pairing stability of heterokaryon. On account of these findings, Adams Butler

incompatibility factors. Anderson stated that sexual vegetative incompatibility is same and reciprocal
with each other. Sexual compatibility was assessed macroscopically as formation of hertrokaryotic

Federal Communication Commissions
The anticipation of the Federal Communication Commissions 2014 meeting to review media
ownership looms as 2013 approaches. With all the angst of a presidential election, the proverbial line
in the sand has been drawn. On one side consumer groups vie for support to restrict ownership and on
the opposing side are the media industries and its conglomerates opposing limitations and demanding
deregulation. According to the Telecommunications Act of 1996, the FCC is required to meet every 4
years to review ownership rules to verify whether or not the media ownership rules are in the public
interest.
Legal Authority of the FCC and its History
The FCC administers all broadcasting and imposes the requirements for wire and wireless
communications through its rules and regulations. The archetypes for the FCC s broadcasting
regulations were formed before the Communications Act of 1934 by its predecessor the Federal Radio
Commission. Unequivocal jurisdiction over broadcast was not granted to the federal government to
exclusively regulate broadcast but a year prior to the establishment of the FCC the Supreme Court
inferred it as explicit and prohibited the states from obstructing its authority. Title I of the 1934 Act
defines many of the FCC s powers related to broadcasting. The title states that the Act applies to all
interstate and foreign communications by wire or radio. The FCC has jurisdiction in all 50 states, the
District of Columbia, and U.S. possessions such as Puerto Rico,

The Effects Of Trauma
Trauma can be described as a severe emotional or mental distress caused by an experience that
impedes one s ability to cope. According to the American Psychiatric Association (2000), Traumatic
experiences can significantly alter a person s perception of themselves, their environment and the
people around them. Traumatic experiences can manifest itself and, in turn, have a greater impact on
one s ability to function. The ongoing effects of trauma and the intensity of the experience as stated by
Evans and Coccoma (2014), can have an impact on all aspects of human life that is inclusive of the

The 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami was one of the deadliest and most destructive in recent history. It was
even catastrophic for a country like Maldives that never experienced disasters of such scale. While
some of the islands in Maldives were completely destroyed and a significant number of lives lost; the
damages to economy, infrastructure, environment and human psyche was immeasurable (Pardasani,

Biological Explanations Of Crime Essay
In today s society, there is a surprising amount of criminal research done by sociologists but most of
our explanations can be better explained by biological and psychological approaches. Why does crime
exist in all cultures? No matter where you go or visit you can be sure that there is crime occurring. Its
important to remember that there are quite a few explanations for the causation of crime, but I will do
my best to include them all. Let s begin by examining the biological explanations of crime. I will only
be going over the modern biological perspectives on crime and not talk to much about studies that
lacked proof, but there will be some theories that have been around for a while. The biological

In the United States, the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) works as an
independent body, setting standards for auditing under the International Federation of Accountants
(IFAC). The IAASB establishes the best quality auditing, quality control, assurance, and related
services in order to ensure uniformity of practice by professionals all across the world. Until 2002, the
IAASB was formerly known as the International Auditing Practices Committee or IAPC. With such
high standards in place for auditing and assurance, public confidence is therefore improved
(International Federation of Accountants, 2014). As part of its mission, the Auditing Standards Board
(ASB) senior technical body of the AICPA issues Statements on Auditing Standards (SASs). To assure
compliance with standards of AICPA, Rule 202 under the Code of Professional Conduct requires that
any AICPA member who performs a non issuer audit must comply with standards set by the ASB. In
2007, a ground breaking project was initiated by the ASB, to ensure clarification of its standards to
make them understandable, easy to read, and simple to apply. As part of this important process, the
ASB revised all SASs in accordance with traditions of clarity by using the corresponding International
Standards on Auditing or ISAs. Nearly all clarified SASs vary from

Bad Credit History
Well, people think that if they have a bad credit history, then they are doomed for life. It might not
always be the case. Statistics say that almost 25% percent of American adults have bad credit and yet
they still get auto loans, although the interest rates might be higher than those who have great credit
scores. The question remains how? Well, if they can, so can you. All you ll have to do is look around
and find an auto loan provider. You can use any auto loan finder and you ll surely get a number of auto
loan providers that will be happy to provide you a loan.
Borrowers with good credit get around 4% 5% interest rate so you might be able to get an average of

Opt for Credit Unions or car finance lenders. These small ventures might be able to help you more

Pay attention to the loan terms
And consider what role they might play in your life. Of course, you ll have to change your lifestyle if
you want to come up with the payments on time. Reflect if you are ready to do that or not. Look for a
loan that must be paid in the shortest possible time, since longer credit life would also mean higher

Monumento a la Memoria y la Verdad, San Salvador
Annotated Bibliography
Monument:
Monumento a la Memoria y a la Verdad. 6 Dec. 2003. Black Granite. San Salvador, El Salvador. Sept.
2004.
This monument was created in order to commemorate the civilians lives lost during the Salvadoran
Civil War. The monument was made to resemble the Vietnam Memorial; it is made of black granite
and has in scripted the names of the war victims. However, the monument only has in scripted the
names of 30,000 of the 75,000 war victims. The names are organized in alphabetical order. It is 85 feet
long and 15 feet tall. The monument also has the name of the massacres that took place during the war
such as La Masacre del Izote in which an entire town was burned down and 10,000 civilians were
killed. The project begun in 1994 and it was finished in 2003. The monument was made to pay the
government s moral debt to the population, as stated by the current president of El Salvador. It is
meant to be a symbol of memory and reconciliation. However, the reconciliation aspect of it can be
debatable because it requires the forgiveness for all the lives that were lost during the war and the
horrific circumstances citizens were subject to. The question whether or not the goal of the monument
was met is challenged by forgiving means forgetting paradox.

Morality in Anthem Society is lost and no one is individual. Since birth, it is no longer I but we , this

first line It is a sin to write this, (Rand 17) is a unique opening line that sets the plot for this entire
story and ends with a full circle once the reader has reached the very last page. The first line the

the same thought process as he did. His assessment of his sin ends without one negative notation and
is formed to create a new outlook on his life, reflecting on the previous choices he has made.

Losing Sight Analysis
William Kraft, a musical composer and conductor, once said, When you go to the theater, if you re
really involved in the play, you don t think about it you re in it. This quote from William Kraft is
especially true for the One Act plays I attended. The smaller theater space and closer proximity to the
stage allowed you to more involved in the play than if you were seated farther away. In the following
response, a synopsis and critique of three of the plays I saw will be given.
The first act of the night was a play titled Losing Sight. To summarize this play, there was a talented
painter with diminishing vision. Because of his impending blindness, the painter tried to seclude
himself from and push away all his family and friends. With the help of his deceased grandfather and
ex girlfriend, the painter learned to accept his fate and return to life in the company of others.
The plot of Losing Sight is constructed around the painter s search for a new identity after his old
identity, which was found in painting, was taken from him. The plot follows a normal plot structure
beginning with an exposition and ending with a resolution. The three characters in the play worked off
each other nicely. The painter brought seriousness and sadness to the play while the grandfather added
a comedic side to the play that kept it from feeling overwhelmingly depressing. The third character in
the play was the painter s ex girlfriend who gave the painter something/someone to hold onto

Analysis Of Mill On The Floss By George Eliot
This research report reviews scholarly criticism on the much debated character MAGGIE TULLIVER
from the book Mill on the floss written by George Eliot. The project I propose analyses Maggie s
character as a whole. The report will begin by discussing the critics point of view of various reasons
responsible for the death of Maggie Tulliver. The report then focuses on how society and how her
relationships lead to her downfall from the point of view of various critics. A part of my report also
critically analyses the death of Maggie Tulliver. Lastly my report discusses about the inner conflicts of
Maggie and how those conflicts eventually lead to her fate. Maggie suppresses herself in the
patriarchal system and struggles to make a place for herself and to find an identity of her own. In her
article Maggie Tulliver s long suicide1974 Elizabeth Deeds Ermarth says that Maggie eventually
believes the lie, that she is inferior, or wrong, or not to be taken seriously. She learned to collaborate in
her own defeat . ELIZABETH ERMARTH also comments on how society affects Maggie since she
was shaped to be a child by the family pieties, it is fitting that her life ends in a reversion to childhood
where her energies to be an adult, tragically, are unneeded. Moving on to her relationships, Ermarth
analyses that her relationships with Mr.Tulliver and her brother Tom Tulliver play a very important
role in her being a selfless person. In return of being obedient Tom gives

The accessibility issues revolve around who should have access to information and whether they

problems can be linked to formation of the Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), which
promotes the accuracy, fairness, and privacy of information in the files of consumer reporting
agencies. There are many types of consumer reporting agencies, including credit bureaus and specialty
agencies (such as agencies that sell information about check writing histories, medical records, and
rental history records). 3
We can see many instances where personal information collected by these agencies was used
unethically by others to assume the identities of the consumers. If you are a victim of identity theft or
are on active duty with the military, you have more rights under the FCRA. You may seek damages

What Is The Similarities Between Flowers For Algernon And...
Does knowledge really bring true happiness? In the story Flowers for Algernon Charlie Gordon is a 37
year old, mentally challenged man, who wants nothing more than to be smart. Well he got his chance
to be smart and he took it; he was chosen for an operation that could change his life and make him
much more intelligent than he actually was. Charlie thought being smart would make him normal but
the operation ended up being unsuccessful. He went back to the way he was. In the story The Garden
Of Eden, Adam and Eve were chosen to be the first humans. They chose to bite from the tree of
knowledge and disobey God. They were punished to live life and then die. Both Charlie Gordon, and
Adam and eve resemble each other in many ways. Both Flowers for Algernon and the Garden of Eden
are both similar as they both thought biting from the tree of knowledge would bring them intelligence.
In the beginning of the story of Flowers for Algernon, Charlie was blessed with happiness, but always
desired to be smart. Just like the story the Garden of Eden where Adam and Eve did not necessarily

Friction In Military
Before talking about what effect might women unleash in unit cohesion, it s important to know the
meaning of friction. Friction is in military terms the cumulative effect of the small and it s largely
based on chance. The military aims to reduce natural friction through strict training and unit cohesion
or philia, which is a Greek word for comradeship. (Mackubin) Some people maintain that women
undermine unit cohesion and thus, tend to increase friction in the military grounds: Indeed, friction
resulting from the presence of women in the military has already manifested itself in three ways:
problems arising from physical differences between men and women; the emergence of double

The Defense Department has had to disclose embarrassingly that one out of seven women at its
military academies say they have been sexually assaulted. (Haley) It can t be denied that rape in the
military, as in many other jobs or situations, is a reality, but keeping women outside military combat in
order to prevent rape is insane. First, rape isn t directly associated with direct ground combat;
everyone can become a POW and be raped. For example, Jessica Lynch, who was a unit supply
specialist serving in the invasion of Iraq in 2003, was captured by Iraqi forces and raped (Gerber).
Lynch had nothing to do with combat, however she was still taken prisoner and raped. Second, in the
case of rape inside combat units, women shouldn t have to be penalized by being kept out of combat,
but rather, men should be punished if they harass, rape or torture women. Because rape, as mentioned,
is a reality, women should be conscious of the dangers they might be exposed to when deciding
whether to join the army or not, but they shouldn t be denied the chance of participating in combat
because rape can happen to both men and women in the military, it s just one of the many dangers and

attitudes toward shopping, they all have the same goal: which is to to shop. Coupons, sales, rewards,

Deception By William Shakespeare s Play
In William Shakespeare s play 1 Henry IV, deception is a recurring theme. Main characters King
Henry IV, Hotspur and Prince Hal deceived people to benefit themselves. Were these characters
deceiving their subordinates to gain power or were their choices and actions political strategy geared
toward gaining honor and maintaining the well being of the nation? All three main characters deceive
people to gain power which can be seen as an act of malice and disloyalty but also as a political
strategy. King Henry deceives King Richard II into believing that he is on his side while he is secretly
planning a rebellion, Hotspur does the same to King Henry by deceiving him into thinking that he is
on his side while also secretly planning a rebellion and Prince Hal deceives the kingdom s people into
thinking he is this wild child so they will be more impressed with him when he becomes the mature
prince and adequate potential leader he was expected to be all along. All of this deception brings up
the question, do the characters use deception purely for their own benefit or for the benefit of the
greater good? Shakespeare s use of deception for power shows these three characters true intentions,
for King Henry IV deception is used to gain power to benefit the kingdom while on the other hand, for
Hotspur deception is used to gain power for his own benefit and the benefit of his family while in
Prince Hal s complicated case, deception is used both for his own benefit and ultimately the

Our monitoring solution of choice, PRTG, has widely available and granular plugins available to
monitor the system. This is due in part to Active Directory being such a commonly implemented
system. At the most basic level we ll want to make sure that the requisite Active Directory services are
running and functioning correctly. Deeper than that we ll have to go to purposeful plugins that can
monitor things like LDAP bind time, number of users, and performance metrics. DNS and DHCP
monitoring is very simple on Windows. Unlike its Unix like counterparts, the core network services on
Windows were designed with a user in mind, and can extrapolate, interpolate, predict, and interpret.
Whether you do or do not have a monitoring system in place, the suite of services Windows provides
are able to update the administrator with data at a glance. Easy to read color coding and sometimes
cryptic error messages make administrating this network services much less painful. Given their
simple daemon based architecture, monitoring with PRTG, SolarWinds, Nagios, or whatever is easy,

Arlington s Journey
I believe that giving is greater than receiving. Being able to live in Johnson County is a blessing. We
have polite neighbors, clean streets, and fresh water. This past spring break I was fortunate enough to
travel to Arlington, Texas, with my youth group from my church. As a group, this would be our second
time traveling to Arlington for a mission purpose. As an individual, Arlington changed me. When my
youth group is traveling a long distance, we rent a couple of twelve passenger vans. Driving to
Arlington takes about ten hours, including bathroom stops and lunch breaks. Every time my youth
leader tells the group to go to the bathroom, no one listens. That is because we are teenagers and do
not have the best listening skills. One teen needed to take a whiz and could not hold it for much
longer. His solution was to relieve himself into a water bottle. This would be an interesting trip for
every single one of us. Arriving in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Her name is Tiffany and is merely six years old. Tiffany is a lovely and sweet girl. She told me all she
knew about Jesus. Surprisingly, Tiffany knew a majority of the bible stories I was telling her.
Apparently this was not the first time a church had ministered to her apartment complex. We provided
Rainbow Express for kids of all ages. We had a few babies and a couple teenagers showing up during
the week. Despite the age gap, we did our best to involve everyone. Even though these kids are
experiencing rough times, they still emit more loving energy than expected. These kids love you as if
you are their long lost sibling. They were not afraid to sprint up to us with their arms wide open.
Mission Arlington shows me how to love people you have only known for a week. This mission trip
transformed me on how I perceive life at home. Even though my youth group and I are back home, we
still think about the children at Eagle Crest quite often. We will return to Arlington next year for the
third

Confucius and Confucianism Essay
One of the most famous people in ancient China was a wise philosopher named Confucius (circa
551 479 BC). He was a great Chinese philosopher, educator, and political figure. His teachings and
proverbs are in the Analects, which is the base of many Chinese theories. He was born
in the village of Zou, and the state of Lu. His father died three years after Confucius birth leaving the
family in destitution, but Confucius did have a decent education. He was married at the age of 19 and
had
one son and two daughters.
He worked as a keeper of a market. Then he was a farm worker who took care of parks and farm
animals. When he was 20, he worked for the governor of his province. After a while he decided to ...

Confucius had, however, never gotten a chance to put his theories to a public test until he was
appointed magistrate of Chung tu, at the age of 52. The very next year he became the minister of
crime of
the state of Lu. His control was successful, reforms were introduced, justice was fairly distributed, and
crime was lowered greatly. Lu become very powerful. Many other people were jealous and envied all
the
great changes Confucius had been able to make in such a short time. A highranking ruler of a
neighboring
state made sure that Confucius got dismissed. Confucius left his office in 496 BC, traveling about and
teaching, helplessly hoping that some other noble would allow him to undertake measures of reform.
In 484
BC, after a failed search for an ideal ruler, he returned for the last time to Lu. Confucius was then
abandoned from his province and he wandered about China for 13 years.
When Confucius was 69 years old, her returned to his home state, and he died there 3 years after
settling
in Lu 479 BC.
Yet, when the philosopher died, many people honored all of Confucius work by building temples
in every city in China to honor Confucius. Since Confucius teachings and philosophy was so
advanced, it
was the education for China for 2,000 years. Confucius had few simple morals, to honor one?s parents
and

Private funding generally has more flexibility. Some private funding (about half of what we raise each
year) has no restrictions we can determine where to spend it, and develop innovative programs that get
results. We can design a program and look for funding partners to support it. Private funding can also

Jonathan Vs Fletch Research Paper
Leaders don t create followers, they create more leaders (Leadership vs. Management: What s the
Difference?). Jonathan was a prime example of this quality. He never forced his fellow seagulls to
learn; Jonathan let them come to him. He did this so that the other gulls would be willing to accept his
teachings on their own. Fletch was the first to come to Jonathan Livingston, and because of Jon s
teachings, was able to take over the new flock that Jon started. Traits such as these are what make you
a good leader. I believe that there are many major qualities that can make a leader great. These two
that I will explain are the same traits that reside within Jonathan.
A leader must be honest. Without honesty, there is no trust. Without trust, no one will believe your
ideas, and if people don t believe in your ideas then they won t support you. According to Inc.com,
Strong leaders treat people the way they want to be treated (The 9 Traits That Define Great
Leadership). It is so important that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
You must be inspiring. If you put all of the attributes you can think of together, what you come up
with is a truly inspiring leader: one who communicates with others clearly, tells them nothing but the
truth, and inspires them to be the best that they can be. Inspiration means that you can lead by
example. If a leader shows that they are committed to their work, then their followers will do the
same. CNN.com says that a good leader must, Live, beathe, eat and sleep your mission (23 Traits of
Good Leaders). This quote shows that a leader must set a goal and don t stop until you reach it.
Jonathan Livingston Seagull is a perfect example. Jonathan practiced his flying every day. He never
took breaks. He never ceased. The other gulls that he taught saw this commitment and drive that their
leader possessed, especially Fletch. Jon inspired Fletch to be the best form of himself. That is true

The Washington Redskins Name Controversy
The Washington Redskins Name Controversy Should the Washington Redskins change their team
name due to controversy with Native Americans? That has been the questions since the 1980s. There
are many different views on the issue. Some people believe the name should stay, some insist it should
be changed, and others are ultimately indifferent. In the end, changing the name is the definite right
choice, the Washington Redskins name is offensive to the Native American people and therefore it
must go. The name is not only offensive to the Native American people, but people outside of Native
American s find issue with it, and it also promotes ethnic stereotyping. In the late 1960 s the use of
Indian names and mascots in sports started to be contested by activists and academics. Many team
names and mascots were guilty of appropriating Native American Culture, and needless to say the
Native Americans wanted things to change. Many Colleges and Universities responded positively
Stanford University changing from Prince Lightfoot to the Cardinal, Dartmouth College changing
from the Indians to Big Green as well as many smaller schools, from high school to elementary
changing mascots out of respect for Native Americans. The major roadblock came about with the
professional teams: Atlanta Braves, Cleveland Indians, and of course, the Washington Redskins. These
teams have refused to change their names to this day, but the Native Americans and their supporters
continue to protest. The

Nazi Party s Ascent To Power
During the period of 1933 to 1945, the treatment of the Jewish people by the Germans changed and
was influenced by the ideals and beliefs had by the Nazi Party in power at the time. This event in
history is named the Holocaust and the changes that occurred during this time will be accounted for in
this report. In the lead up to 1933, the Nazi Party worked to gain the support of the German people by
presenting them with the idea of a perfect Germany. This desirable Germany would be traditional,
hard working and abolish the Republican system of government for which they believed was the
source of all hardships experienced in Germany after the commencement of WW1. It was presented to
the people that this perfect Germany could only be achieved ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

From as early as the 11th century, the Jewish race was looked upon as having rebelled against the true
religion of Christianity throughout Christian Europe. This clash of beliefs ultimately led to outbursts
of hatred towards the Jewish people in what became known as violent pogroms. Pogroms were seen
throughout Europe up until as late as the 20th century and anti Semitism movements were experienced
during the Weimar Republic in Germany. Many right wing organisations blamed the Jewish people for
the loss of WW1, claiming that they did not serve properly at the front line and were instead profiting
from the war itself. This hatred grew at the commencement of the war, when Jewish politician,
Matthias Erzberger, who had openly opposed it in 1917, subsequently signed the Armistice. The
Germans saw the signing of the Armistice and later on the Treaty of Versailles, as an admittance of
guilt for the cause of the war and believed that they were now seen as weak and cowardly among other

Combatting the Issue of Human Trafficking
Many organizations have formed to establish several resolutions for combating the issue of human
trafficking , both locally and nationally. I chose to investigate two existing social awareness
campaigns located in Ohio. The reasons I decided to explore these two organizations is because of the
obvious, that my classmates and I are in the state of Ohio but overall, it is due to the fact that this state
rank s number five in the nation for human trafficking. There are explanations behind the ranking of
Ohio for this issue. The first explanation is due to the inner city centers and country counties, which
included a big immigrant population. The second explanation is due to five main highways located
throughout Ohio. These highways make it convenient for human traffickers (Ohio State Bar
Association, 2014). The first campaign is called Second Chance, and it is located in Toledo, Ohio.
Second Chance s mission statement is To offer supportive services to women and youth affected by or
at risk for involvement in sex trafficking or commercial sexual exploitation, as they reclaim lives of
choice. To raise community awareness about the issues of sex trafficking and the commercial sexual
exploitation of children and to work diligently to end the exploitation and victimization of women and
youth. To advocate with women and youth throughout the country to secure and provide resources for
treatment and services for victims of sex trafficking and exploitation (Second

  • 3. Canada s Immigration Act And System Each year lots of new migrants enter the Canadian economy therefore Canada has been classified as a multi cultural country, and due to this our citizens are more socially and globally aware of what is going on around them. Canada s immigration Act and system helps our country be more culturally diverse, it increases economic growth, and make s Canada a safer place to be which we can call our home. Along with new migrants coming every year, therefore ethnic communities are massively increasing by population and size. The Tamil community is a relatively new group. Some Tamils settled in Canada as early as the 1960s, coming as independent immigrants. The vast majority, however, arrived in Canada after 1983 in the aftermath of the 1983 Colombo riots in Sri Lanka. In 1983, the Canadian government took Tamils into Canada under humanitarian and compassionate consideration. At the same time, a visa requirement was imposed on Sri Lankans, making it very difficult to get here legally. In 1986, Minister s permits were granted to some refugees allowing them to remain in Canada. Today Tamils continue to make up one of the largest group of refugees seeking asylum in Canada. Ten percent of the persons seeking asylum in Canada in 1999 originated from Sri Lanka. The majority of population has made Toronto its new home with figures as high as 200,000+, of which the population has been divided into suburban areas that consist of City of Toronto (Scarborough Community), Markham, Vaughan, ... • 5. The company s creams inventory remains constant because it does not follow a trend in innovation and changes so often as the other products. The surplus in inventory is a big disadvantage since; last year s products may not be in style this year in addition to the cost of storage. For all these reasons their cash flow is less in comparison with previous years causing that Luxor Cosmetics keeps increasing their bank loans, creating more debt, making it harder to pay out as 2011. In this particular situation the company could have either decrease its budgeted sales (productions) or increase its actual sales by improving more effective marketing strategy and research and development of its products in the markets. This way their inventory would decrease and their cash flow would increase. (Hopkins, 2009) Further, through effective marketing strategy Luxor ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 8. The Vibrant and Unpredictable Era of the Gilded Age The Gilded Age was one of the most vibrant and unpredictable eras in the history of America. It brought about a new wave of industrial and economic opportunities that allowed some to build massive businesses and fortunes, while other lower and middle class citizens struggled to survive. Some would go as far to say it created a war between the classes across American societies. Giants of industry, such as Andrew Carnegie and John D. Rockefeller, revolutionized how big business led to the rise of corporate America, but also how it leveled competition in the free market. The Gilded Age offered America rapid economic growth and new technological products that created an economical boom. Yet, these advancements were created at the costs of exploiting industrial workers and farmers working long hours in dangerous conditions for low pay and the American people sought political and social reforms in an effort to rebalance the scale of power in the United States. During the Gilded Age, the American economy had shifted from a nation of small farmers and craftsmen to an economy transformed by railroads and telephone lines that stretched from coast to coast. Confronted by new models of economics and politics, unforeseen struggles caused farmers and laborers to fight for survival while emerging industrialists celebrated new wealth. This period of transition left much of the population without a voice. The wealthy seemed to be running the country without any advice from lower ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. Argumentative Essay On Clickbait 22 Tips to Gain Weight FAST! You ll Never Look at Barbie Dolls the Same Way After You See THIS Picture! Insurance Companies HATE this new trick! We ve all seen articles with similar headlines. In fact, they ve gotten so common that we rarely think anything of them anymore. They re all over the Internet on Facebook, on Twitter, on Instagram. However, although they may seem rather pointless or annoying, there is a reason that journalists use clickbait to headline their articles. Justin Bariso argues that although nearly nobody enjoys seeing clickbait, journalists utilize it simply because it is effective, and people should be more understanding about it, as it is not pointlessly annoying. He strengthens his argument throughout the article ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, this time, he uses direct evidence and sources. He uses data from the New York Times, stating that changing the headline of an article can increase readership of articles by up to 1,677%. This is a huge number, and plays on astonishment, as you wouldn t expect the number to be so high. It also plays on logic, however, as it s understandable that the headline is so important. After all, the headline is the first thing you see, and is the deciding factor on whether or not you click on the article, so it makes sense for it to be significant to the number of reads on an article. Using a credible source also establishes Bariso s credibility, as he has done research on this topic. By the end of his article, Bariso wraps up his argument, stating just how important the headlines are. He does address the counter argument slightly, which adds to his own argument. He states that the only problem with clickbait is when the article itself doesn t live up to its name. Clickbait is only worth it, in his eyes, if the article itself has quality content. If not, he agrees with the opposing viewpoint that clickbait is rightfully frustrating for readers. After wrapping up his argument, Bariso makes another reference to Seinfeld, and specifically towards the nemesis he spoke of earlier. Take that, Newman. This creates a humorous ending, giving you a laugh at ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 10. Black or White The ongoing struggle to fight the skin color prejudice in the contemporary American society is portrayed in Michael Jackson s song Black or White. Whereas the racism is defined as a superior behavior against other race thus making it inferior, the singer refers to this term as See, it s not about races, just places, faces, where your blood comes from is where your space is. Michael Jackson, one of the most influential artists in the music industry, calls for equality in how people view and behave towards each other. The question, which this master thesis investigates, does it matter if you re black or white, is clearly answered by the singer: It don t matter if you re black or white. My analyses of selected books, academic journals, films and music video will concentrate and argue if Americans indeed discriminate against race or if it is history and no longer exists in American life. First, I would like to take into consideration the iconic Michael Jackson, one of the greatest, perhaps the greatest singer and performer of the 21st century. Not only his songs deserve a closer look, but also his lifestyle ideas, fears and the public opinion. Black or White by Michael Jackson and Bill Bottrell is a one of the greatest singles in Michael s career. It was released on November 11, 1991. What inspired Michael to particularly select these two topics? Black or white as implied in the song, he sings about skin color. Songs starts in Africa, possibly showing Jackson s beginning he is black. In one of the scenes, Michael sings I ain t scared of no sheets; I ain t scared of nobody while he is walking through fire images which is being compared to KKK and its torch ceremonies. Here, he is portraying his painful vision of KKK and its vision. Later, the performers sing I m not gonna spend my life being a color. What a great statement. • 11. Batman, not Superman, Is the Better Superhero Super heroes are fictional characters who possess amazing characters and often appear in comic books. A super hero is someone who is well known for extraordinary characteristics or behaviors i.e. strength, courage, nobility, fighting crime and seeking justice in their world. They often have special powers and are clothed in special costumes that distinguish them from others. They live a life of a loner as a means of protecting their identity and to maintain a high level of secrecy. They are well celebrated all over the world and especially in their where they perform an act of heroism. A super hero is known for good deeds and rarely practices bad deeds. They save people and help the weak out of a problem. In my opinion I would say that superman is a more super hero than batman. Superman also known as Man of steel is a known superhero. Since his creation he has been around for approximately 60 years. Clark Kent is his real name. He is not a human and is from planet Krypton. He was created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster high school students in 1933 (DC Comics, 2008). He is said to be one of the most powerful superheroes in the universe possessing great knacks such as, heat vision, great fighting skills, freezing breath, incredible super strength and high super speed. Never Lasting Reputation Quotes Never Lasting Reputation (Pages 198 218) I think that there is a good reason on why you should maintain the reputation of a legendary pirate rather than there being only one real person. When the real Dread Pirate Roberts decided to retire he wanted to keep his reputation going, so he passed down the name to his friend. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I think that younger kids can t handle bad endings to a book very well. Most kids are very upset if the story doesn t turn out to be a good ending. The book is not what they want it to be, and they are upset. One example of this is the first sentence. William Goldman wanted Westley to survive and get revenge on Prince Humperdinck, but when his dad tells him that doesn t happen he gets upset. The main reason he got upset is because it isn t what he wanted to happen in the story. He wanted the good guy to survive and defeat the bad guy, but when his dad tells him that the bad guy defeats the good guy he doesn t like it. Therefore this leads me to thinking that there is value in telling sad stories to kids. It teaches them that there isn t always a good ending in stories. This could help them relate to real life situations. They can learn that not everything turns out good, and that it is okay for that to happen. In this case, they can learn how to overcome these sad events, so they can be prepared for anything in the future. Everyone needs to know how to overcome disappointing moments in life. Some could include, not winning a basketball game, failing a test, or not getting a job you want. You can overcome these obstacles by working harder, not being sad all the ... Kosovo as an independent country is facing serious economic problems. Although the media propagandizes its growth during the last two year, it is still the poorest country in the region and decades will be needed to make obvious progress. For this reason Serbia s interest in a country like Kosovo with very low level of development, high level of unemployment and serious debts, have always surprised me. After Kosovo s independence, Serbia refuses to let go of the north of Kosovo and continues to interfere by hoping that it can retain control of Mitrovica, where Trepca Mines are located. Trepca has been a key source of development during Yugoslavia, as the statistics have shown that it employed around 20,000 in the 1980s and produced 70% of the Yugoslav mineral reserve; while Stan Terg, located in the southern Mitrovica, is controlled by Albanians and it is the only region where the processing plants are still active and those controlled by Serbians are inactive. That is why I believe that after the independence of Kosovo, Serbia s interest have shifted from symbolic, historic claims to potential economic gains. The Marty report is not a judicial document, but still it has been a headline around the world and a major advantage for Serbia to blame Albanian criminals for what happened in Kosovo. It was thought by some that the IRA wanted a major gun battle, although others thought that if similar events to those that took place in Magilligan, London would be shamed and therefore it would seem that the British paratroopers would want to hold their fire against the Catholic demonstrators. Another stance is that the Catholics were simply holding another peaceful protest. About a week before Bloody Sunday, a two hour gunfight to place at Forkhill in County Armagh between British troops and the IRA. About 1000 shots were fired. Because of all the violence of the previous weeks, which was blamed on the IRA, the Protestant unionists felt that a tougher approach must be made to stop further violence from occurring. After Bloody Sunday had taken place, the question of who was to blame and more importunately for some, who had fired the first shot. • 15. The Issue Of Annexation Movements Inside Canada Isn t it sad to see a Parliament building burnt on the night of April 25th, 1849 to mark as one of our historical importance of establishing Canada? The definition of annexation is to take over and acquiring another state. Usually, it is implied that the territory and population being annexed is the smaller and the weakest of the two merging state. By definition, Manifesto is a public declaration of policy and aims. Annexation movements inside Canada were usually inspired by dissatisfaction with Britain s colonial government of Canada. For example, a groups of Irish immigrants took the route of attempting to annex the peninsula between the Detroit and Niagara Rivers to the U.S. by force in 1837 1838. The War of 1812 built up hatred overtime between the Americans and the British. But as a result, there were no territorial changes. Another significant event before the Annexation Manifesto was the Rebellion of 1837. It caused a backfire which led to a massive violence when Lower and Upper Canada took arms to achieve a responsible government. Although the Rebellions of 1837 were motivated in part by this type of dissatisfaction, Canadian resentment of British rule never reached the degree that led to the American Revolution in 1775. Notably, Canada s population grew rapidly in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Canada s population grew due to United Empire Loyalists, who left the American colonies during the Revolution because of their loyalty to Great Britain. In ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Majority of these teams have played well one week and looked bad the next, while others have lost by less than a less than a touchdown. • 21. Break A Leg Identity A Mysterious Identity and Dark Humor Maintain Suspense in Break A Leg By: Emma Morgan Jesse Shamata s Break A Leg, which focuses on a hitman discussing his life philosophy with an unknown subject, creates and sustains suspense through the combination of a hidden identity and dark humor. Concealing the identity of the person sitting with the main character a hitman is what makes this short film particularly unique and intriguing. It s not often that a film leaves the viewer wondering who the protagonist is talking to until its last few minutes. This technique builds suspense because the viewer doesn t know what the hitman s intentions are in talking to this person, if this person will be harmed by the end of the film, or even what this person looks like. The extreme close ups of the hitman as he talks about harming people also add to this suspense because they prevent the viewer from seeing much of the hitman s surroundings at the beginning of the film. Instead, the viewer is forced to focus on the hitman s hardened appearance and his rough voice. However, there are some shots of other characters reacting to what the hitman is saying ... He relates this back to how much control people want to have in their lives and how this affects them. This sequence, in particular, utilizes a dark sense of humor. • 22. Essay on Merton s Strain Theory In Merton s (1938) strain theory social structures account for the criminal tendencies found in offenders. Individuals adjust to societal pressures in five distinct ways. Adaptation I, which entails conforming to both culture norms and means, is the most common. The popularity of this adaptation allows a society to function effectively. In contrast, adaptation IV is the least common and gives rise to the rejection of both cultural goals and means. Those that adopt this culture pattern are societal misfits and usually include some such persons as psychotics, psychoneurotics, chronic autists, vagrants, and chronic drunkards or drug addicts. In short, adhering to the loyalties of a small group rather than the society at large. Gottfredson and Hirschi s (1990) control theory regards parental controls as key in developing self control, which is related to crime. People who show low self control tend to live in the here and now, whereas those who have better self control like to defer gratification. For example, criminal acts provide excitement, have few long term benefits, and require little preparation. Moreover, they cause pain to their victims, which is correlated to being self centered and insensitive both qualities of people with low self control. A major cause of low self control is improperly raising a child (Gottfredson and Hirschi, 1990). In fact, research has shown that affection, supervision, and discipline have all been absent from the homes of delinquents. In order to teach children self control someone must at least monitor the child s behavior, recognize deviant behavior when it occurs, and punish this kind of behavior. • 23. Global Warming Is A Source Of Fuel Global warming is one of the most critical issues faced by both humans and animals. The increase of earth s temperature leads to climate change, eventually, making life much harder for people in developing countries and causing animals to become extinct. For decades this problem has been slowly growing day by day. In recent years, dependency on fossil fuels has increased immensely, to the point where it fuels daily activities. However, it is important to take into consideration that while fossil fuels provide tremendous amounts of energy, there are several adverse effects and disadvantages to using it as a source of fuel. As an alternative to fossil fuels, renewable sources such as nuclear, hydrogen, or solar energy and biofuels can be used to meet energy demands. Fossil fuels are considered to be unsustainable, environmentally destructive, inefficient, and the primary contributor of global warming. It is estimated that about eighty eight percent of global energy is produced by burning fossil fuels1. Additionally, only twelve percent of global energy is produced by alternative energy sources1. It is time for individuals to think whether alternative energy resources can efficiently replace fossil fuels. Using alternative energy increases the nation s stability economically and environmentally, which reduces Canada and the United States dependency on foreign energy sources6. However, many technological difficulties need to be analyzed and resolved before alternative energy ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The smaller theater space and closer proximity to the stage allowed you to more involved in the play than if you were seated farther away. In the following response, a synopsis and critique of three of the plays I saw will be given. The first act of the night was a play titled Losing Sight. With the help of his deceased grandfather and ex girlfriend, the painter learned to accept his fate and return to life in the company of others. The plot of Losing Sight is constructed around the painter s search for a new identity after his old identity, which was found in painting, was taken from him. The plot follows a normal plot structure beginning with an exposition and ending with a resolution. The three characters in the play worked off each other nicely. Even though these people have different attitudes toward shopping, they all have the same goal: which is to to shop. Coupons, sales, rewards, and memberships are the holy grail to a shopping Cheapskate. They are the people we see at the checkout with a book of coupons and dollar signs in their eyes. Cheapskates are individuals who never buy anything full price and will stop at nothing to save a buck. These singular identities use coupons all the time and only shop on sales racks. For example, on the tv show Extreme Couponers, these citizens have it all figured out about being cheap at the store. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I buy everything on site; sometimes, without even looking at the price and quality of the product I am purchasing. My biggest appeal factor would be makeup. I love makeup more than the average person; therefore, I buy more makeup than the average person. Peach blush, champagne highlighter, black mascara, and full coverage concealer are essentials in my cosmetic collection which I have bought impulsively. Overall, I am proud to say that I am an impulsive buyer rather than a person who despises shopping: a Hater. A Hater is someone who would want to have nothing to do with the art of shopping. Shopping, to them, is a complete and utter waste of time. These people usually complain a lot before, during, and even after the shopping trip. They would rather do anything else besides shopping and will do anything to avoid it. For example, The Hater might ask a friend or family member to pick up something they need or will try to find a substitute from what they already have to try to get the task done. In general, this person is just a grumpy person who does not like to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 43. Deception By William Shakespeare s Play In William Shakespeare s play 1 Henry IV, deception is a recurring theme. Main characters King Henry IV, Hotspur and Prince Hal deceived people to benefit themselves. Were these characters deceiving their subordinates to gain power or were their choices and actions political strategy geared toward gaining honor and maintaining the well being of the nation? All three main characters deceive people to gain power which can be seen as an act of malice and disloyalty but also as a political strategy. King Henry deceives King Richard II into believing that he is on his side while he is secretly planning a rebellion, Hotspur does the same to King Henry by deceiving him into thinking that he is on his side while also secretly planning a rebellion and Prince Hal deceives the kingdom s people into thinking he is this wild child so they will be more impressed with him when he becomes the mature prince and adequate potential leader he was expected to be all along. All of this deception brings up the question, do the characters use deception purely for their own benefit or for the benefit of the greater good? Shakespeare s use of deception for power shows these three characters true intentions, for King Henry IV deception is used to gain power to benefit the kingdom while on the other hand, for Hotspur deception is used to gain power for his own benefit and the benefit of his family while in Prince Hal s complicated case, deception is used both for his own benefit and ultimately the ... This is due in part to Active Directory being such a commonly implemented system. Deeper than that we ll have to go to purposeful plugins that can monitor things like LDAP bind time, number of users, and performance metrics. DNS and DHCP monitoring is very simple on Windows. Unlike its Unix like counterparts, the core network services on Windows were designed with a user in mind, and can extrapolate, interpolate, predict, and interpret. • 45. Arlington s Journey I believe that giving is greater than receiving. Being able to live in Johnson County is a blessing. We have polite neighbors, clean streets, and fresh water. This past spring break I was fortunate enough to travel to Arlington, Texas, with my youth group from my church. As a group, this would be our second time traveling to Arlington for a mission purpose. As an individual, Arlington changed me. When my youth group is traveling a long distance, we rent a couple of twelve passenger vans. Driving to Arlington takes about ten hours, including bathroom stops and lunch breaks. Every time my youth leader tells the group to go to the bathroom, no one listens. That is because we are teenagers and do not have the best listening skills. One teen needed to take a whiz and could not hold it for much longer. His solution was to relieve himself into a water bottle. This would be an interesting trip for every single one of us. They were not afraid to sprint up to us with their arms wide open. Mission Arlington shows me how to love people you have only known for a week. • 49. Jonathan Vs Fletch Research Paper Leaders don t create followers, they create more leaders (Leadership vs. Management: What s the Difference?). Jonathan was a prime example of this quality. He never forced his fellow seagulls to learn; Jonathan let them come to him. He did this so that the other gulls would be willing to accept his teachings on their own. Fletch was the first to come to Jonathan Livingston, and because of Jon s teachings, was able to take over the new flock that Jon started. Traits such as these are what make you a good leader. I believe that there are many major qualities that can make a leader great. These two that I will explain are the same traits that reside within Jonathan. A leader must be honest. • 50. The Washington Redskins Name Controversy The Washington Redskins Name Controversy Should the Washington Redskins change their team name due to controversy with Native Americans? That has been the questions since the 1980s. There are many different views on the issue. Some people believe the name should stay, some insist it should be changed, and others are ultimately indifferent. In the end, changing the name is the definite right choice, the Washington Redskins name is offensive to the Native American people and therefore it must go. The name is not only offensive to the Native American people, but people outside of Native American s find issue with it, and it also promotes ethnic stereotyping. In the late 1960 s the use of Indian names and mascots in sports started to be contested by activists and academics. Many team names and mascots were guilty of appropriating Native American Culture, and needless to say the Native Americans wanted things to change. Many Colleges and Universities responded positively Stanford University changing from Prince Lightfoot to the Cardinal, Dartmouth College changing from the Indians to Big Green as well as many smaller schools, from high school to elementary changing mascots out of respect for Native Americans. The major roadblock came about with the professional teams: Atlanta Braves, Cleveland Indians, and of course, the Washington Redskins. These teams have refused to change their names to this day, but the Native Americans and their supporters continue to protest. The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

From as early as the 11th century, the Jewish race was looked upon as having rebelled against the true religion of Christianity throughout Christian Europe. This clash of beliefs ultimately led to outbursts of hatred towards the Jewish people in what became known as violent pogroms. Pogroms were seen throughout Europe up until as late as the 20th century and anti Semitism movements were experienced during the Weimar Republic in Germany. Many right wing organisations blamed the Jewish people for the loss of WW1, claiming that they did not serve properly at the front line and were instead profiting from the war itself. This hatred grew at the commencement of the war, when Jewish politician, Matthias Erzberger, who had openly opposed it in 1917, subsequently signed the Armistice. I chose to investigate two existing social awareness campaigns located in Ohio. The reasons I decided to explore these two organizations is because of the obvious, that my classmates and I are in the state of Ohio but overall, it is due to the fact that this state rank s number five in the nation for human trafficking. There are explanations behind the ranking of Ohio for this issue. The first explanation is due to the inner city centers and country counties, which included a big immigrant population. The second explanation is due to five main highways located throughout Ohio. These highways make it convenient for human traffickers (Ohio State Bar Association, 2014). The first campaign is called Second Chance, and it is located in Toledo, Ohio. Second Chance s mission statement is To offer supportive services to women and youth affected by or at risk for involvement in sex trafficking or commercial sexual exploitation, as they reclaim lives of choice.
