Compensation Cases and Their Impact on China and Japan
History and the notion of compensation are two key aspects in the study of Sino Japanese relations.
During the 1980s, the opening up by the People s Republic of China s government about war atrocities
led a number of victims to seek reparations and apologies from Japan. Compensation cases were
brought forward from the 1990s and broke the silence about what had truly happened during the war.
Moreover, the rapid spread of new information about the past prompted increased tensions between
the two countries that had previously ignored the issue in order to privilege economic and diplomatic
cooperation. To date, the affiliation between China and Japan seems to have deteriorated significantly
and history is one of the main matters addressed in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The VAWW NET (Violence Against Women in War Network Japan), Chinese War Victims Lawyer s
Research Committee (now Chinese War Victims Compensation Claim Group), Society to Support the
Demands of Chinese War Victims (Rose, 2005, p.77), etc. are all joint organizations fighting for the
rights of the victims and trying to force Japan into taking legal responsibility for its actions and it is
still a work in progress today.
The creation of these Sino Japanese groups emphasizes the fact that the problem of compensation was
just as important for both sides and signified that the history issue hadn t been dealt with properly. The
280 members of the Chinese War Victims Lawyers Research Committee were ready to defend Chinese
victims in their lawsuits against Unit 731, the Comfort Women System, forced labour, etc. among
many more. Their research played a significant role in providing evidence (Rose, 2005, p.76) that
undermined Japan s stance on lack of sufficient evidence in order to accept legal liability for their
actions (Tow, 2009 ). The involvement of academics and citizens were equally important as they too,
discovered compelling evidence incriminating Japan and organizations such as Suopei counting over

movement in order to continue on their quest for justice and recognition (Rose, 2005, p.77). Numerous

The Big Issue of Piracy
Piracy
Piracy is a big issue in the gaming industry and is happening all the time and companies are trying
their best to get rid of this issue. The problem with trying to get rid of this issue is that there will
always be people figuring out loopholes in the defense of piracy.
There are some smart people who make a lot of money pirating items such as Movies for making
money. There are people who have made millions of dollars using this illegal way to steal what is not
theirs. Most of the time piracy does not impact the consumer because the most popular form of piracy
is downloading music. People pirate items for to get a cheaper price out of things or to sell to another
person for a higher price then what they pirated it for. If a company s product is being Pirated one
solution they might try is to stop making new products for release or they might take disciplinary
action and get the police involved. Pirating is a very scummy way to make money and it really hurts
the company that made the product. Piracy is not good for the economy and it hurts more than you can
imagine. The people that use piracy are usually very poor and doing it to make money to support
themselves and their family. I ve seen my friend illegally download music and it really made me sad
because I know in the end my friend is going to get hurt in one way or the other. Piracy can happen in
many forms but usually happens as a video recording of a famous movie or a D.V.D. some ways to

History of IMF
The IMF was established in 1945, having first been conceived at the Bretton Woods Conference in

The Washington Consensus was so named because it was a common ideology of the IMF, World Bank
and US Treasury all based in Washington that markets, free from government intervention of any kind,
held the key to development in rich and poor countries alike. (Stiglitz 2003, p. 21).
Conditionality structural adjustment
The impact of the Washington Consensus has been felt mainly through the IMF s increasing use of
loan conditions ( conditionality ) to force policy change in developing countries. The use of loan
conditions can be traced to section 1(v) of the Fund s Articles of Agreement, which encourages the
IMF to make its funds temporarily available under adequate safeguards . But while conditions had, in
the 1950s and 1960s, been used to promote global financial stability (as per the IMF s Articles of
Agreement) in the late 1970s and 1980s, loan conditions began to be used as structural adjustment
tools, and conditionality structural change in client countries became a central focus for the IMF s
work. (www.imf.com)
Structural adjustment policies mean across the board privatization of public utilities and publicly
owned industries. They mean the slashing of government budgets, leading to cutbacks in spending on
health care and education. They mean focusing resources on growing export crops for industrial

Persuasive Essay On Child Labor
Powering a Generation of Change
The use of children in an industry is considered inhumane and perilous. Child labor is a phenomenon
as old as mankind. Around the world and in the United States, growing gaps between rich and poor in
at least in the 20 years forced millions of young children out of school and into work. Underage
children work at all kinds of jobs around the world, usually because they and their families are very
poor. Large numbers of children work in commercial farming, fishing, manufacturing, mining, and
domestic service. Some children work in illegal activities like the drug trade and prostitution or other
terrible and upsetting activities such as serving as soldiers ([www.michaelherringdesign.com] 2011).
Child labor should be banned when negatively affecting the child s health and development.
Of an estimated 215 child laborers around the globe: approximately 114 million (53%) are in Asia and
the Pacific; 14 million (7%) live in Latin America; and 65 million (30%) live in sub Saharan Africa
([www.michaelherringdesign.com] 2011). Child labor can be found in every industry. Children have
been found gathering bananas in Ecuador, oranges in Brazil, cotton in Egypt and Russia and many
other items. In commercial farming, children are more likely to breathe in unpleasantly bug killing
chemicals and be exposed in extreme temperatures for long periods of time. They often have
inadequate food, water, and sanitation. ([www.michaelherringdesign.com] 2011).
Underage children are often found in manufacturing jobs as well. Approximately 14 million children
are estimated to be directly involved in manufacturing goods. Children have been found in
manufacturing carpets in India, Pakistan, and Egypt. They also been involved in sewing soccer balls in
Pakistan. The beautiful display of fireworks is made by children in China, the Dominican Republic, El
Salvador, Guatemala, India, and Peru ([www.michaelherringdesign.com] 2011).
In many countries, child labor is part of culture and anchored in traditional attitudes. Child laborers
suffer extremely high illness and injury rates in underground mines, opencast mines, and quarries.
Children as young as 6 or 7 years old break up rocks, and wash, sieve, and carry ore.

What was it and how did it work?
Honor during ancient Israel time is a status symbol, it is prize over wealth, and had no social class. It
is what all men during this time strive for with the help of their family and clan to uphold. Honor is
bestowed on a man during this time by his community through his deeds, following the rules, and the
running of his household, making sure their unmarried women and girls are virginal, and married
women reproduce a stay true to their husbands.
6. What is literary genre? Why is it important for understanding the literature of the Bible?
Literary genre is the various forms in which one choose to express their thoughts. There are 5 main
genres poetry, fiction, nonfiction and drama. This is important to the understanding of the Bible
because knowing the type of genre helps to prepare the reader to better understand the text.
7. How does knowing about patriarchy, honor, and literary genre help us to understand what all is
going on in the book of Ruth?
To understand the book of Ruth we first must understand its literary genre which, is a narrative, so we
know how to approach our reading of this story. Knowing about patriarchy, which the males during
this time held all the power, explains why Naomi was pleased that Ruth got Boaz, a wealthy

Argumentative Essay On Hero Vs Monster
Hero Versus Monster
The classic story of hero versus monster has been around for as long as we as human have been telling
them. There is something about a good hero, or even more so a good monster that fascinates and
intrigues the human mind. We love stories of underdogs prevailing against the odds just as much as we
enjoy the monsters they are put up against. Modern day hero versus monster stories take place
between radically different parties then that of early human history however. Often today the hero and
the monster can be the same person, with ourselves being our worst enemies.
Back in early human history, complications, disagreements, and issues generally took place between
two parties. Introspection, the examination or observation of one s own mental and emotional
processes, was not as prevalent as it is today. While our modern day society still deals with issues
between two individuals, many of the issues we are confronted with now are internal struggles with
ourselves. Low ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The term hero in modern day English is defined as someone who is admired or idealized for courage,
outstanding achievements, or noble qualities, but who and as well as what makes a hero is more up to
the eyes of the beholder than anything else. While a hero for many is someone that plays a role model
figure in their lives, many a time do they forget that they themselves are one of the most heroic and
courageous persons in their lives. Tasks such as overcoming crippling depression, working up the
courage to step out of one s comfort zone and try something new, or working through a traumatic
death in a family are all examples of invisible heroes, heroes that cannot be seen but are felt instead.

The God Of Small Things
The God of Small Things (TGOST) by Arundhati Roy and Tiny Sunbirds Far Away by Christie
Watson are two novels set in societies where females are significantly of lesser value and oppressed by
male figures. TGOST is an Indian novel following the Ipe family and their interactions during adverse
situations. Tiny Sunbirds Far Away shows the struggles that Blessing and her family endure when
moving from their wealthy apartment in Lagos to a complex in countryside Nigeria. Through their
respective novels, Roy and Watson explore the detrimental effects the dominance males have over
women both in family and society have on a female s identity. Such effects are revealed through
spousal issues between the older generation, the dependency that women have on men and the unequal
treatment of children in a family.
In Roy and Watson s representations of marital relationships between the elderly, the audience is
provided with an insight into the roles of male and female in the family and how it effects women. In
TGOST, Roy illustrates the physical and cruel dominance that males had over women in 1960s India.

The Downfall Of Affirmative Action
Downfall of Affirmative Action Many colleges in United States are composed of an ethnically diverse
student body. One of the reasons why the student body is full of diversity is because of the Affirmative
Action. It is the policy that gives a special incentives to minorities and women to help promote
diversity in school. Though it is a great idea to promote diversity in every college in United States, it
is also a bad idea to continue this system. Many A students who are not minorities tend to get the same
treatment as the B students who are minorities. Although accepted into school, these students who
barely met the minimum criteria may have a tougher time at school because they may not be able to
keep up with the pace of the classes since the schools have high expectations of its students.
Furthermore, students who have worked hard to get good grades might be overlooked because the
students who have lower grades will be accepted simply to fulfill the quota. Although promoting
affirmative action is a great idea to seek diversity through different views from many different
ethnicities, it will also take away people s hard work, as well as producing more drop out students
since they cannot keep up with what the university is expecting from them. Therefore, it is not morally
justifiable or socially beneficial for the students since they may have a lower chance of succeeding at
school. Affirmative action will treat the majority students the same way as the minority

The Effects Of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome On Infants
Professor Sandmire
Bio 440
30 April 2015 The Effects of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome on Infants
Abstract
Fetal alcohol syndrome is caused when women during their pregnancy drink alcohol and cause
developmental problems that can affect the fetus and infant for the rest of his or her life. Fetal alcohol
syndrome can cause facial abnormalities, mental retardation, and a significant decrease in overall
growth of the fetus.1 There are numerous studies about prevalence of fetal alcohol syndrome, and its
effects on physical, neurological, and socioemotional functions of children. Many studies highlight
that the risk of fetal alcohol increases by the amount of alcohol a woman drinks during her pregnancy.
Many studies also support the idea that the more alcohol that is consumed during pregnancy, the
greater the severity of the associated abnormalities that are found in the child. Because there is no cure
for fetal alcohol syndrome, researchers have tried to achieve successful prevention plans by studying
several options that could be implemented. The work that has been done to try and help children who
have fetal alcohol syndrome is extensive but allows for further research.2
Introduction
Fetal alcohol syndrome (FAS) is a disorder that develops in a child when a woman drinks alcohol
during a pregnancy.2 It is usually characterized by many abnormalities like deficient growth, cognitive
dysfunction that usually causes behavioral and mental issues, and a very specific set of facial

Essay on Gender Roles in Things Fall Apart, by Chinua Achebe
Upon an initial reading of Chinua Achebe s Things Fall Apart, it is easy to blame the demise of
Okonkwo s life and of the Umofia community on the imperialistic invasions of the white men. After
all, Okonkwo seemed to be enjoying relative peace and happiness before then. He did have a few
mishaps; one of them resulted in him being exiled for eight years. Nonetheless, he returned to his
home town with high spirits and with prospects of increased success. However, everything has

Even the crops were gendered (Okhamafe 127). Coco yams, beans, and cassava were women s crops

and admired is associated with manliness. Anything that is demeaning or scornful is considered to be
womanly. Okonkwo life is dominated by fear, the fear of failure and of weakness (Achebe 13). When
Okonkwo was a boy, his playmates teased him calling, saying that his father was agbala. Okonkwo s
father, Unoka, was lazy. He did not work on his farm; he died in great debt. He did not acquire a single

The Effects Of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Although the percentage of families owning a desktop or laptops has remained relatively constant over
the past two decades, the use of computers in the workplace is predicted to rise. In addition, the

a common problem among adults. This is the numbness, tingling, and weakness in one s hand(s) due

Trainspotting Film Analysis Essay
Trainspotting presents an ostensible image of fractured society. The 1996 film opens, famously, with a
series of postulated choices—variables, essentially, in the delineation of identity and opposition.
Significant here is the tone in which these options are delivered—it might be considered the rhetorical
voice of society, a playful exposition of the pressure placed on individuals to make the correct choices,
to conform to expectation.
As such, the introduction might be read as contributing to the formation of two narrative constructs:
that of normality —or at least that considered normality by prevailing ideology—and that of
subnormality, the remainder. In its uncompromising rejection of the former, the commentary of Ewan

These subcultures operate because the world around them is open to interpretation, and if an
interpretation is justified, it is arguably as valid as one which directly opposes it.
The imposition of a universal set of values, like that of the law, for example, is a product of
power—and, liberally speaking, an injustice. Renton notes that his mother, on tranquillisers, is, in her
own socially acceptable way, also a drug addict. Because these particular characters choice of lifestyle
conflict with that of the dominant order, they are marginalised—forced to live in squalor and filth. This
is something signified in the mise en scene: theirs is a world of repugnant toilets; of splattered walls,
doors and floors; of soiled bed sheets; of buckets for urine, vomittus and faeces.
Fittingly, there is an equally strong argument to the contrary. Begbie proves an unreliable narrator, yet
appears to act without conscience or consequence; Sick Boy, portrayed early on as a closet
philosopher, is rendered mute after the death of his son. Some things are above and beyond words.
Similarly, despite its apparent emphasis on the relationship between power and subjectivity, the film
does pronounce ultimate ethical judgements, as I will describe in a moment.
Trainspotting essentially refuses to make up its mind. At the film s close, Renton s betrayal of his
friends is completely rationalised away. Were his

W101: An Introduction to Law
Tutor Marked Assessment TMA01
Question 1 (300)
Explain the difference between:
a. international law and national law
Their principal differences are in their scope and their intended subjects. International law governs the
relationships that states have with each other and international institutions, whereas national law
applies within a nation. International law gains its force from agreements made between states and
customs and practices that have been followed by states over time, whereas national law is imposed by
state actors. (The Open University, 2014)
b. statute law and common law
Common law as a term can indicate a source of law also called case law, and the system of law which
includes it as a source. (Merriam Webster, Incorporated, 2014). In the sense of common law as a
source of law, it can be contrasted with statute law. Common law is a body of law based on court
judgements and precedent, whereas statute law originates in formal written acts by a legislature such
as Acts of Parliament (The Open University, 2014). In common law systems, judicial decisions
interpret previous analogous cases and relate them to the case at hand. Typically where there are
conflicts, statute takes precedence over common law as it is the creation of the democratic process
rather than judicial decisions and customs.
c. public law and private law
Public law governs the relationships between private individuals and institutions and the state,
whereas private

How Short and Long Term Memory Work Essay
Short and Long Term Memory Your brain collects and forgets thousands, if not millions of memories
every day. Every time you see, hear, feel, taste, and smell something, it comes into your mind and
becomes a memory. A mental note is literally taken and shipped to your short term memory file in
your brain. Whether or not it gets pushed to long term memory depends on how often you pull the
sense from your brain, because if it is used often, your brain will automatically instruct itself not to
destroy it. If you resurface those memories often enough, they will not be erased. Memory, whether
short or long term, is able to be reinforced, altered, deleted, or resurfaced.

It can be accessed and used at any point in time when still available and fresh in your mind. There are
limitations to it, of course. George Miller, PhD, tested and figured that people can generally not
remember something over seven digits long (while it is in short term memory). These remembrances
can be sent long term after increased repetition and recall. The average short term memory IQ is 49,
which is somewhat low. Some people say that long term memory is more beneficial than short term,
which is not necessarily true. This kind of memory is not preserved for extended periods of time, but
also profitable. The best way to recall items in your short term memory is to chunk it up into words or
numbers for example, try to remember the letters i g d b f d n o n u c a. This is difficult for everyone.
Now, chunk it up into words: c o u n f b a d d i n g. It helps, and is easier to remember! Short term
memory is a useful tool with many benefits.
What Does Your Long Term Memory Do? Memories are exported to long term when they are
reinforced. Long term memory is a system in your brain that permanently stores senses for later use.
Unlike short term memory, these memories cannot be retrieved quickly and may take a few seconds or
longer to retrieve. There is a debate constantly on whether or not you can forget something in your
long term memory. Most say that long term memory only decays not forgotten, just harder to

According to the American College of Medical Quality, medical necessity is defined as accepted
health care services and supplies provided by health care entities, appropriate to the evaluation and

This ensures that doctors conduct the proper and necessary actions to ensure the safety and care of a
patient. Besides doing the right thing, doctors are held accountable for the welfare a proper decisions

in administrative functions, as well as identifying symptoms that have medical necessity and

Healthy Eating Essay
How does healthy eating affect your life? Many people really pay attention to the food they put in
their bodies, until we get sick and need medical attention. I know that many of us love to eat fast food,
but it catches up with us in the long run. While eating healthy would stop you from getting sick, and
lower the cost of health care, healthy eating can enrich your body and prevent you from getting high
doctor bills. How can I eat healthier? Healthy eating means picking all natural foods from the basic
food groups; meats, dairy, fruits and vegetables, grains and stop eating too many sweets and fats. The
first step in eating healthy is to know the good fats from the bad fats. Fats are another vital part to a
healthy diet. Good fats ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Once you know what to eat, now you have to consume too much. One of the biggest problems with
eating healthy knows when you have had enough. Not knowing when to stop can result in one
developing an eating disorder. There are many types of eating disorders. The main two types of eating
disorders people get from excessive eating is obesity and anorexia. Obesity is a disease of excess fat
tissue in the body, or when someone eats too much. Anorexia is when someone who has a low self
esteem and often a tremendous need to control their surroundings and emotions by consuming as little
food as possible. Someone who is overweight will eat because they are not happy with the way they
look. Someone who suffers from anorexia starves themselves because they are unhappy with the way
they look. People with these certain eating disorders should come together to help each other get
through these hard times. One can get tired thinking about all of the sicknesses one could get from
eating unhealthy. High medical bills can leave one bankrupt. The problem that comes with unhealthy
eating also comes with high medical cost. Doctors who specialize in illnesses dealing with eating
disorders and heart diseases tend to have high premium cost. You have to put at least six hundred
dollars or more just for the visit. Medical illness can be a financial nightmare leading to bankruptcy.

Freedom Vs Freedom Essay
In class it was discussed if people were not afraid of getting a bad grade they would not study or come
to class. I believe this is true. Without this fear, people would take classes and never study or learn
anything. If we took away the tickets for speeding was also discussed in class. If they were to
disappear people would drive however they wanted without any regard to others. The roads would not
be safe for people. This is another example of why we need this fear of consequence. I never thought
about grade and studying and respecting the street signs were a fear until it was talked about in class. I
just thought about it as rules to follow so we could avoid disaster. Because, of this discussion I began
to think about if we are a fear ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This creates what we call classism and racism. That in turn creates even more fear and division in the
group. With these smaller groups, it is easy to keep power and continue a fear based society. The
biggest example is after 9 11 when the American government created an enemy with the Muslims.
They labeled them all as terrorists because they wanted to invade the Middle East for oil. This was one
of the only ways to get the people to fall in line and label an entire group of people as something they
are not. Just because a small amount of people who were members of the religion doesn t make the
entire following bad. Those people created a fear for people to not wish to go out of their houses, and
if they saw someone covering their head, they would be afraid of a bomb. Many people started to hide
what should have been freedom to practice as they pleased, keeping people doing exactly what is
expected. Should the state really take charge of this freedom? We may think that our current society is
liberticidal, in the sense that it replaces our consciousness. It embodies freedom, while we must not
forget that man is endowed with free will. That means man as a whole is capable of doing the
absolutely worse things to others and is very able to impede upon someone else s freedom. But on the
other hand, without the few or what was once called the ruling class of society, we would have

Subject: Boeing Legal Impact Analysis
Boeing: An Overview
Boeing is the largest aerospace company and the largest manufacturer of commercial and military
aircraft in the world. Boeing s military aircraft come equipped with missiles, satellite, launch vehicles
and advanced information and communication systems. Boeing is also the number one U.S. exporter
when it comes to sales. Boeing s aircraft are flown each and every day, all across the United States and
the world. Because their products are used so heavily, and daily for that matter, product liability is a
major concern for Boeing. The fact that their products interact directly with the men and women who
fly these planes, and that nearly every flight has an average of 200 or more people on board, these
products need to be safe and thoroughly tested. On that note, health and safety is another major area of
legal concern for Boeing. If a fatal accident were to occur, wrongful death cases are sure to come up if
the manufacturer is found at fault. These cases can cost the company upwards of 100 million dollars in
revenue, not to mention the bad publicity that is derived from them as well. One must take into
account that the amount of fatal accidents that occur where the manufacturer is at fault is on the
decline, with only 20 percent of fatal accidents occurring due to a mechanical failure of some sort,

French Involvement in the California Gold Rush
California Gold Rush, Mexican War, Who found gold. Why the Mexicans didn t.
During the late 1840s, France had suffered commercial decline. France had begun construction on a
large scale rail network, but failed to budget their construction properly, leaving the construction
unfinished, and it s backers bankrupt. This cascaded further than the initial investors, as smelters who
relied on the railways to buy their metal lost a major purchaser. The resulting economic fallout lead to
unemployment across several industries. The lack of work for the majority of the populace led many
to poverty. At the time, bread prices began rising prices, further straining the economic situation of the

reports, expecting newspapers such as the Herald to have greatly exaggerated the news in California,
as was expected of Americans at the time. In addition to the skeptical attitude held by the Courrier, the
gold rush did not reach national attention immediately due to more pressing matters at home.
Following the uprising came the freedom of the press, universal suffrage regardless of gender, and the
national elections for President of France; these topics dominated French headlines, and competed
against the reports of gold. Still, the gold rumors managed to pepper the daily newspapers. The
populace however, remained adamant that the reports were simply American fantasy. It wasn t until
December fifth, 1848, when President Polk delivered his State of the Union and confirmed the rumors
of gold in California, did the acceptance of the gold rush become unanimous. With the elections

The population grew so rapidly, it increased 130 percent in 1800 to 1910 (Robert Edgar Pg. 667). This
led to the observation of Thomas Robert Malthus to forecast a tragic future of massive famine on a
global scale. In his Essay on Population he states the power of population is indefinitely greater than
the power in the earth to produce subsistence for man (Malthus Ch.1). In other words, human
reproduction would outrun the earth s ability to produce food. He believed that population, when
unchecked, increases in a geometrical ratio while food production increased only in arithmetic
progression (Malthus Ch.1). This led him to conclude that the fate of humanity would be misery. But
he did not conclude that Europe would keep up technological advancement and agricultural
innovation, and therefore, the population growth would keep up with the supply of food. Men worked

The Prisoner Of War Camps
Many citizens of the United States immediately after the Civil War knew very little of the atrocities of
that occurred in the prisoner of war camps. News that their family member was in a prisoner of war
camp was usually dreaded by the family of the captured soldiers. While being dead was much worse
the families never truly knew what was going on inside the camps. For the Confederacy, many feared
Rock Island, but there was a just as deadly camp just north of Rock Island in Chicago. Once the war
had ended the atrocities of what occurred inside the prisoner of war camps became apparent. Suddenly
multiple fingers were pointed at what was the culprit for such deplorable conditions. The pictures,
descriptions, and accounts of what happened inside the prisoner of war camps became a part of not
only history but the media as well. Multiple books were written about the prisoner of war camps,
several works of fiction reference the prisoner of war camps. Andersonville is almost unanimously
regarded as the worst camp for a Union soldier to get sent to. Rock Island seems to be the place that
many agree as the worst camp that a Confederate soldier could get sent to. Rock Island is even
mentioned in several works of fiction, including Gone With The Wind. In Gone With The Wind the
main character Scarlett O Hara s sister in law, Melanie Wilkes received a letter telling her that her
husband Ashley Wilkes had been captured and taken to a horrible place called Rock Island. However,

very prevalent. Although marijuana is illegal, it is still bought and sold on a regular basis underground

Persuasive Essay On Honey Bees
For every one out of three bites we take, it is due to the work of the honey bees. Many of the foods
such as fruits require pollination from a pollinator to be produced. As well as fruits, there are also
vegetables, nuts, seeds, fiber, and hay (Hoyt, 10). All essential to the world and all must be pollinated.
The little insects play a huge role in maintaining natural plant communities and ensuring production of
seeds in most flowering plants. In the United Kingdom, honey bees create an additional crop value of
165 million every year, with no additional cost to farmers (Gross, 2). With the hundreds of species of
bees, they are the world s leading pollinators. It is only now that we see that we have taken pollination
for granted. Praising pollination as one of nature s free services. It is not one of the factors that are
considered when looking at the agricultural possibilities of a given farm area, such as water, fertilizers,
or pesticides (Hoyt, 13). All around the world, there have been years recorded where the honey bees
just suddenly disappear. It is due to all of the agricultural and climate change. Honey bees should not
travel too far from their hive, but recently it is not possible for them to remain close and collect nectar
as well because of the decline of plants they can pollinate (Hoyt, 13). Their voyaging distances have
increased and not every honey bee makes it back to the hive due to the long distances they now have
to travel (Hoyt, 15). To decrease the distance they travel, humans must plant more gardens for the
honey bees to pollinate instead of allowing them to venture out blindly in search of the nectar they
need (Hoyt, 16). If Colony Collapse Disorder were to prevail over the honey bees, it would spell
disaster for the honey business as well as our entire food population. One in ten hives suffers from
Colony Collapse Disorder (Calabro, 8). The good news is that Colony Collapse Disorder has been in
decline over recent years. Some researchers even say that the endangerment of honey bees is a false
case. There are statistics that show that many of the foods that honey bees are responsible for
pollinating such as apples and almonds have actually increased over the years (Calabro, 8). If the food

The importance of the community s involvement in emergency management has propelled FEMA to
introduce the Whole Community concept in December 2011 in disaster preparedness (pp. 108). This
approach engages all members of the community including individuals, government at all levels,
organizations, businesses, community groups and others involved in preparing the community as a
whole to deal with disasters. It is the philosophical belief of FEMA that utilizing leveraging all the
resources of the the collective team in the community will help to prepare, protect, respond to and
recover from, and mitigate against all disasters. The engagement of the community in an authentic
dialogue will also empower individuals to identify their needs, the existing resources and find out
ways to address any shortfall in them. FEMA also reinforces that with the community s involvement,
FEMA is better able to reach and deliver services more efficiently and cost effectively to those
affected in a disaster.
One of the most important concerns of community members is how they will evacuate in the event of
a disaster. FEMA has developed the National Prevention Framework (NPF) that outlines the whole
community approach to a disaster discovery of intelligence or information regarding an imminent

The Road Networks Across China Essay
The map below shows an overview of the road networks across china. It is clearly understandable
from the graph that eastern part of China is mostly covered through a huge networks and channels of
roads and highways. Contrarily, the western parts of China are still to be developed though roads and
highway networks. The differences are based on the fact that the eastern parts being close to the sea
act as the main hub for transportation of tradable goods as most of the transportation is carried out
through the sea routes and harbors. The freight of tradable goods has increased enormously in recent
years and thus the economic activities and burden on the harbors and hubs have also increased to a

The Waterfall Method And The Agile Methods Of Development
Evan Pierce
Marvin Hagen
Introduction to Business Intelligence DSS600 Lesson 9 Assignment
21 June 2015
Compare and Contrast the Waterfall Method and the Agile Methods of Development As it is with all
decisions we make in the day, there are often multiple opportunities which often times lead to a single
outcome. Such decisions as, Do I take the turnpike today can have such a profound impact on the
outcomes. Will you hit traffic on turnpike and as a result miss a meeting. If you go the backway do
you make the scheduled meeting? On any given day the same approach you have always taken can
backfire. Keeping this in mind we must learn how the business methods we implement can often lead
to the same outcome. What differs is the process ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At no point in the process development can the next phase begin until the previous phase is
completed. This is how the waterfall method received its name, it begins at the top and works its way
down towards the bottom, and at no point can the process be reversed. Youssef Bassil in his article
titled A Simulation Model for the Waterfall Software Development Life Cycle , defines the water fall
method as the following, The Waterfall model defines several consecutive phases that must be
completed one after the other and moving to the next phase only when its preceding phase is
completely done. For this reason, the Waterfall model is recursive in that each phase can be endlessly
repeated until it is perfected. There are certain situations where the waterfall method is advantageous
in application and that involves the following; a short time frame, there3 are no unclear expectations,
the technology is understood, the requirements are fixed and the product propose is stable.
There are distinct requirements of each phase in the water fall method, and the application of theses
requirements often dictate the success or failure of any development project. The first phase is
described as gathering and analysis which outlines and documents all possible requirements for the
system being developed. This includes the

Edgar Allan Poe Revlutionized Literature in the 19th Century
Edgar Allan Poe revolutionized the literary world of the nineteenth century. Poe is a well known
author from the early 1800 s, who was part of the dark romanticism movement. While later in life he
was a brilliant writer, Edgar Allan Poe faced many problems in his early life. Although Poe
experienced death within his family at a young age, the hardships he encountered are thought to have
influenced his dark writing style. These death inspired elements within Poe s writing were ahead of
their time. However, Edgar Allan Poe s excellent use of descriptive imagery and suspense is what
makes his writing unique. These stylistic devices are evident in Poe s famous short stories, including
The Tell Tale Heart and The Cask of Amontillado .
Edgar Allan Poe uses imagery to develop a strong mood for readers in his short stories, this is part of
what make his writing unique. For instance, in Poe s piece The Cask of Amontillado , imagery is used
to develop his signature dark mood for readers to experience. Poe uses descriptive details of the
setting to enhance the mood. This is especially shown when the narrator states Its walls had been lined
with human remains piled to the vault overhead, in the fashion of the great catacombs of Paris... From
the fourth the bones had been thrown down, and lay promiscuously upon the earth, forming at one
point a mound of some size (Poe 5). The narrator s description of the setting creates a dark, and
frightening feeling for readers. In particular,

Courting And Courtship
Being courted is what every woman fantasized about. That is if the suitor is someone who she admires
as well, but the guy doesn t need to know that yet. As time goes by, ways of courting also changes. In
the old tradition, one cannot just approach a woman on the streets and ask for her number the courting
needs to be done in steps. They say that in the traditional way, courting is like playing baseball. The
man is said to reach first base if the woman accepts his proposal to go out on a date for the first time.
But it s really not that easy. If the guy is really serious and sincere about courting the woman, then he
still needs to introduce himself to the woman s parents. It is always expected that the man must show
his face to the woman s family and even bring gifts. Going out on several dates is ... Show more

No one can guide and teach the teenagers better than their parents. It is therefore very important that
teens wanting to pursue a relationship should first consult their parents especially for girls. They
should seek the approval of their parents first. Teenage boys should also seek guidance to their parents
in picking the best girl for him. To understand better the role of the parents in courtship, understand
first the reason why courtship happens in the first place. Courtship is not a game, it isn t a trial and
error kind of thing but it is a serious matter. Courtship is something you have to think deeply and
decide carefully. You don t just do it unmindfully or it will leave you with heartache and tragedy. That
s why you have parents to provide counsel and guidance. They have experienced going through that
stage and have felt what it s like to admire, to love, to be rejected and to be heartbroken. They know
the consequences if you date the person who isn t meant for you. So it is important to heed and obey
their advice. They will help you in choosing your lifetime

Malaria Research Paper
Malaria is a serious disease caused by a parasite. Infected mosquitoes spread it. Malaria is very
common throughout the world. In the United States, the main risk is to persons traveling to tropical
and subtropical countries where malaria is a problem. There are four different types of malaria caused
by four related parasites. The most deadly type occurs in Africa south of the Sahara Desert. The
symptoms characteristic of malaria include fever, chills, muscle aches, and headache. Cycles of chills,
fever, and sweating that recur every 1, 2 or 3 days are typical. There can sometimes be vomiting,
diarrhoea, coughing and yellowing (jaundice) of the skin and whites of the eyes. The treatment for
malaria depends upon the geographic area where a person has been infected with the disease. Different
areas of the world have malaria types that are resistant to certain medications.
Malaria is a disease which can be transmitted to people of all ages. It is caused by parasites of the
species Plasmodium that are spread from person to person through the bites of infected mosquitoes.
Malaria is a parasitic disease that involves infection of the red blood cells. Of the four types of

Animal Sports Persuasive Essay
Animals are meant to be cherished, not mistreated for sport . In animal sport the animals are trained to
do tricks and act a certain way to entertain the audience, but in order to get the animals to perform a
specific way trainers use physical tactics such as whipping and tazzing to scare the animals to perform
correctly. Forms of entertainment include dog fighting, bullfighting, horse racing, circuses, and zoos.
Most of these sports raise reasons not to use animals for such purpose. Reasons animals should not be
used to entertain is some are killed after they are used for the purpose of entertaining, the animals are
physically mistreated by the trainers with shock batons and whips with the intention to get the animals
to learn routines, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Positive Reinforcement
Considering all of my lessons this semester, my main strength would be modeling the lesson for the
students and praising the students with positive reinforcement. I feel as the students remained engaged
and they were always willing to participate, which allowed them to meet all of the objectives in my
lesson. I was impressed with how well much the students remembered and understood from my
lessons. I presented the instruction and goals for the lesson prior to beginning the activity. During the
lesson, I frequently asked the students questions in order for the students to remain thinking as well as
focused. For the most part, my focus student met the lesson objectives during each lesson by
accurately answering my assessment questions or showing me that he understands the material that
was covered through examples. Within my writing lesson, my focus student achieved beyond the
objective. My student was unsure what a slice of life story consisted of before beginning the lesson,
but by the time our activities were completed, he know exactly what a slice of life story was (22:45).
Additionally, within my guided reading lesson, my focus student did an exceptional job with spelling
and understanding past tense verbs (13:37). However, my student was not able to finish the lesson
with the group, therefore I believe that he did not meet the objective due to the lack of practice with
past tense verbs. Within my interdisciplinary lesson, Dannie matched all of the pictures of simple

Negative Speech In Nancy Cartwright s In Search Of Fellini
Nancy Cartwright came to Ohio University to introduce her debut film In Search of Fellini. She co
wrote and was executive producer on the film. Although Nancy has always considered herself a
filmmaker, here most notable work has been in the field of voice acting, best know for her character
Bart Simpson on The Simpsons. The movie In Search of Fellini is a coming of age drama based
primarily off Nancy Cartwright s pervious experiences in life, seeing how the movie loosely mimics a
portrait portrayal of herself. The speech took place on September 22, at the Schoonover Center. This
location was a very effective place to hold the event since Schoonover center is the home of the school
of Media Arts and Studies, a program Nancy briefly attended during her days at Ohio University. The
crowd was primarily composed of media studies students eager to hear a working professional s
outlook on making a movie. This was pretty powerful because she did not have to establish relevancy
to the crowd, the audience knew what the speech was going to include, and that is why they attended.
Her presentation overall was a persuasive speech. Persuasive speeches have a proposition, or
statement of purposed change (Hosek, 2017 P. 131). Nancy wanted to strengthen the beliefs and
attitudes the viewers held regarding looking at themselves as artists. The reason her speech is a
persuasive speech is Nancy intended to really motivate the audience to invest time in their own
visions. She

Injuries In Sports Essay
While professional sports have their benefits as multi million dollar industry, professional athletes are
under a considerable amount of stress, not only to their bodies but also their minds. As an elite and
professional athlete, one of the most crucial and devastating things that can happen is sustaining
serious injuries both on and off season, which are unfortunately and frequently an unavoidable aspect
to sports. For professional athletes, playing the sport becomes their life. In the competitive nature of
the sports world, These lifelong devastating injuries can be seen in all sports including football,
basketball, cheer, leading, lacrosse, soccer and even Track Field (Chrzanowski, et. al., 2011). Although

The Need For Security As A Integrated Unified...
Security
As with many great idea there within lies caveats. The need for security is crucial. After all, any
breach can cause serious harm to the business and its employees. In order to secure such a complex
Unified Communications (UC), one must understand the vulnerabilities to be had. Within this research
project, the security concerns shall be addressed prior in order to learn the possibilities to be had in
developing an IC that could regurgitate its own information through data mining to continuously
achieve higher levels of workplace efficiency. Thereby creating the SMARTbusiness model.
The Need for Commonality and Uniform Structure
With the continued rise of the Internet of Things (IoT), so does the continued rise of urgency on part
of most product manufacturers and service providers to produce a device that can not only
communicate information regarding its current condition, but also communicate the condition of what
is around the device. The fast pace of IoT development has produced a perplexing variety of device
configurations, each with their own attributes, data structures, and particularities. In addition,
companies are deploying variations of devices, each designed to meet specific purposes. As a result,
the ability to manage IoT devices is rapidly diminishing.
Configuration Management
Another concern regards is configuration management. In time, some common standards will become
a part of the design for IoT devices. However, when these standards mature and

  • 3. Compensation Cases and Their Impact on China and Japan History and the notion of compensation are two key aspects in the study of Sino Japanese relations. During the 1980s, the opening up by the People s Republic of China s government about war atrocities led a number of victims to seek reparations and apologies from Japan. Compensation cases were brought forward from the 1990s and broke the silence about what had truly happened during the war. Moreover, the rapid spread of new information about the past prompted increased tensions between the two countries that had previously ignored the issue in order to privilege economic and diplomatic cooperation. The VAWW NET (Violence Against Women in War Network Japan), Chinese War Victims Lawyer s Research Committee (now Chinese War Victims Compensation Claim Group), Society to Support the Demands of Chinese War Victims (Rose, 2005, p.77), etc. are all joint organizations fighting for the rights of the victims and trying to force Japan into taking legal responsibility for its actions and it is still a work in progress today. The creation of these Sino Japanese groups emphasizes the fact that the problem of compensation was just as important for both sides and signified that the history issue hadn t been dealt with properly. The 280 members of the Chinese War Victims Lawyers Research Committee were ready to defend Chinese victims in their lawsuits against Unit 731, the Comfort Women System, forced labour, etc. among many more. Their research played a significant role in providing evidence (Rose, 2005, p.76) that undermined Japan s stance on lack of sufficient evidence in order to accept legal liability for their actions (Tow, 2009 ). The involvement of academics and citizens were equally important as they too, discovered compelling evidence incriminating Japan and organizations such as Suopei counting over 2000 members are still collecting funds, providing evidence and reporting on the compensation movement in order to continue on their quest for justice and recognition (Rose, 2005, p.77). • 4. The Big Issue of Piracy Piracy Piracy is a big issue in the gaming industry and is happening all the time and companies are trying their best to get rid of this issue. The problem with trying to get rid of this issue is that there will always be people figuring out loopholes in the defense of piracy. There are some smart people who make a lot of money pirating items such as Movies for making money. There are people who have made millions of dollars using this illegal way to steal what is not theirs. Most of the time piracy does not impact the consumer because the most popular form of piracy is downloading music. People pirate items for to get a cheaper price out of things or to sell to another person for a higher price then what they pirated it for. If a company s product is being Pirated one solution they might try is to stop making new products for release or they might take disciplinary action and get the police involved. Pirating is a very scummy way to make money and it really hurts the company that made the product. Piracy is not good for the economy and it hurts more than you can imagine. The people that use piracy are usually very poor and doing it to make money to support themselves and their family. I ve seen my friend illegally download music and it really made me sad because I know in the end my friend is going to get hurt in one way or the other. Piracy can happen in many forms but usually happens as a video recording of a famous movie or a D.V.D. some ways to stop piracy our ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

According to the The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is an international financial institution (IFI) which monitors the international financial system and provides loans to developing country member states with balance of payments problems. The Washington Consensus was so named because it was a common ideology of the IMF, World Bank and US Treasury all based in Washington that markets, free from government intervention of any kind, held the key to development in rich and poor countries alike. (Stiglitz 2003, p. 21). Conditionality structural adjustment The impact of the Washington Consensus has been felt mainly through the IMF s increasing use of loan conditions ( conditionality ) to force policy change in developing countries. The use of loan conditions can be traced to section 1(v) of the Fund s Articles of Agreement, which encourages the IMF to make its funds temporarily available under adequate safeguards . But while conditions had, in the 1950s and 1960s, been used to promote global financial stability (as per the IMF s Articles of Agreement) in the late 1970s and 1980s, loan conditions began to be used as structural adjustment tools, and conditionality structural change in client countries became a central focus for the IMF s work. (www.imf.com) Structural adjustment policies mean across the board privatization of public utilities and publicly owned industries. • 6. Persuasive Essay On Child Labor Powering a Generation of Change The use of children in an industry is considered inhumane and perilous. Child labor is a phenomenon as old as mankind. Around the world and in the United States, growing gaps between rich and poor in at least in the 20 years forced millions of young children out of school and into work. Underage children work at all kinds of jobs around the world, usually because they and their families are very poor. Large numbers of children work in commercial farming, fishing, manufacturing, mining, and domestic service. Some children work in illegal activities like the drug trade and prostitution or other terrible and upsetting activities such as serving as soldiers ([www.michaelherringdesign.com] 2011). Child labor should be banned when negatively affecting the child s health and development. Of an estimated 215 child laborers around the globe: approximately 114 million (53%) are in Asia and the Pacific; 14 million (7%) live in Latin America; and 65 million (30%) live in sub Saharan Africa ([www.michaelherringdesign.com] 2011). Child labor can be found in every industry. Children have been found gathering bananas in Ecuador, oranges in Brazil, cotton in Egypt and Russia and many other items. In commercial farming, children are more likely to breathe in unpleasantly bug killing chemicals and be exposed in extreme temperatures for long periods of time. They often have inadequate food, water, and sanitation. ([www.michaelherringdesign.com] 2011). Underage children are often found in manufacturing jobs as well. Approximately 14 million children are estimated to be directly involved in manufacturing goods. Children have been found in manufacturing carpets in India, Pakistan, and Egypt. They also been involved in sewing soccer balls in Pakistan. The beautiful display of fireworks is made by children in China, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, India, and Peru ([www.michaelherringdesign.com] 2011). In many countries, child labor is part of culture and anchored in traditional attitudes. Child laborers suffer extremely high illness and injury rates in underground mines, opencast mines, and quarries. There is something about a good hero, or even more so a good monster that fascinates and intrigues the human mind. We love stories of underdogs prevailing against the odds just as much as we enjoy the monsters they are put up against. Modern day hero versus monster stories take place between radically different parties then that of early human history however. Often today the hero and the monster can be the same person, with ourselves being our worst enemies. Back in early human history, complications, disagreements, and issues generally took place between two parties. Introspection, the examination or observation of one s own mental and emotional processes, was not as prevalent as it is today. • 12. The Downfall Of Affirmative Action Downfall of Affirmative Action Many colleges in United States are composed of an ethnically diverse student body. One of the reasons why the student body is full of diversity is because of the Affirmative Action. It is the policy that gives a special incentives to minorities and women to help promote diversity in school. Though it is a great idea to promote diversity in every college in United States, it is also a bad idea to continue this system. Many A students who are not minorities tend to get the same treatment as the B students who are minorities. Although accepted into school, these students who barely met the minimum criteria may have a tougher time at school because they may not be able to keep up with the pace of the classes since the schools have high expectations of its students. Furthermore, students who have worked hard to get good grades might be overlooked because the students who have lower grades will be accepted simply to fulfill the quota. Although promoting affirmative action is a great idea to seek diversity through different views from many different ethnicities, it will also take away people s hard work, as well as producing more drop out students since they cannot keep up with what the university is expecting from them. Therefore, it is not morally justifiable or socially beneficial for the students since they may have a lower chance of succeeding at school. The Effects Of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome On Infants Professor Sandmire Bio 440 30 April 2015 The Effects of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome on Infants Abstract Fetal alcohol syndrome is caused when women during their pregnancy drink alcohol and cause developmental problems that can affect the fetus and infant for the rest of his or her life. Fetal alcohol syndrome can cause facial abnormalities, mental retardation, and a significant decrease in overall growth of the fetus.1 There are numerous studies about prevalence of fetal alcohol syndrome, and its effects on physical, neurological, and socioemotional functions of children. Many studies highlight that the risk of fetal alcohol increases by the amount of alcohol a woman drinks during her pregnancy. Many studies also support the idea that the more alcohol that is consumed during pregnancy, the greater the severity of the associated abnormalities that are found in the child. Because there is no cure for fetal alcohol syndrome, researchers have tried to achieve successful prevention plans by studying several options that could be implemented. The work that has been done to try and help children who have fetal alcohol syndrome is extensive but allows for further research.2 Introduction Fetal alcohol syndrome (FAS) is a disorder that develops in a child when a woman drinks alcohol during a pregnancy.2 It is usually characterized by many abnormalities like deficient growth, cognitive dysfunction that usually causes behavioral and mental issues, and a very specific set of facial ... Essay on Gender Roles in Things Fall Apart, by Chinua Achebe Upon an initial reading of Chinua Achebe s Things Fall Apart, it is easy to blame the demise of Okonkwo s life and of the Umofia community on the imperialistic invasions of the white men. After all, Okonkwo seemed to be enjoying relative peace and happiness before then. He did have a few mishaps; one of them resulted in him being exiled for eight years. Nonetheless, he returned to his home town with high spirits and with prospects of increased success. However, everything has changed. The 1996 film opens, famously, with a series of postulated choices—variables, essentially, in the delineation of identity and opposition. Significant here is the tone in which these options are delivered—it might be considered the rhetorical voice of society, a playful exposition of the pressure placed on individuals to make the correct choices, to conform to expectation. As such, the introduction might be read as contributing to the formation of two narrative constructs: that of normality —or at least that considered normality by prevailing ideology—and that of subnormality, the remainder. In its uncompromising rejection of the former, the commentary of Ewan ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These subcultures operate because the world around them is open to interpretation, and if an interpretation is justified, it is arguably as valid as one which directly opposes it. The imposition of a universal set of values, like that of the law, for example, is a product of power—and, liberally speaking, an injustice. Renton notes that his mother, on tranquillisers, is, in her own socially acceptable way, also a drug addict. Because these particular characters choice of lifestyle conflict with that of the dominant order, they are marginalised—forced to live in squalor and filth. This is something signified in the mise en scene: theirs is a world of repugnant toilets; of splattered walls, doors and floors; of soiled bed sheets; of buckets for urine, vomittus and faeces. Fittingly, there is an equally strong argument to the contrary. Begbie proves an unreliable narrator, yet appears to act without conscience or consequence; Sick Boy, portrayed early on as a closet philosopher, is rendered mute after the death of his son. Some things are above and beyond words. Similarly, despite its apparent emphasis on the relationship between power and subjectivity, the film does pronounce ultimate ethical judgements, as I will describe in a moment. • 20. International Law And National Law W101: An Introduction to Law Tutor Marked Assessment TMA01 Question 1 (300) Explain the difference between: a. international law and national law Their principal differences are in their scope and their intended subjects. International law governs the relationships that states have with each other and international institutions, whereas national law applies within a nation. International law gains its force from agreements made between states and customs and practices that have been followed by states over time, whereas national law is imposed by state actors. (The Open University, 2014) b. statute law and common law Common law as a term can indicate a source of law also called case law, and the system of law which includes it as a source. (Merriam Webster, Incorporated, 2014). In the sense of common law as a source of law, it can be contrasted with statute law. Common law is a body of law based on court judgements and precedent, whereas statute law originates in formal written acts by a legislature such as Acts of Parliament (The Open University, 2014). In common law systems, judicial decisions interpret previous analogous cases and relate them to the case at hand. Typically where there are conflicts, statute takes precedence over common law as it is the creation of the democratic process rather than judicial decisions and customs. c. public law and private law Public law governs the relationships between private individuals and institutions and the state, whereas private ... Whether or not it gets pushed to long term memory depends on how often you pull the sense from your brain, because if it is used often, your brain will automatically instruct itself not to destroy it. In the United Kingdom, honey bees create an additional crop value of 165 million every year, with no additional cost to farmers (Gross, 2). All around the world, there have been years recorded where the honey bees just suddenly disappear. It is due to all of the agricultural and climate change. Honey bees should not travel too far from their hive, but recently it is not possible for them to remain close and collect nectar as well because of the decline of plants they can pollinate (Hoyt, 13). Their voyaging distances have increased and not every honey bee makes it back to the hive due to the long distances they now have to travel (Hoyt, 15). To decrease the distance they travel, humans must plant more gardens for the honey bees to pollinate instead of allowing them to venture out blindly in search of the nectar they need (Hoyt, 16). The crowd was primarily composed of media studies students eager to hear a working professional s outlook on making a movie. This was pretty powerful because she did not have to establish relevancy to the crowd, the audience knew what the speech was going to include, and that is why they attended. Her presentation overall was a persuasive speech. Persuasive speeches have a proposition, or statement of purposed change (Hosek, 2017 P. 131). Nancy wanted to strengthen the beliefs and attitudes the viewers held regarding looking at themselves as artists.
