horror/home invasion movie that was way over hyped by people. I was very sceptical and wasn t in an
anticipation before watching the movie. Unlike YOU RE NEXT I had an extreme blast with this film!
This film is increadibly awesome and good.
The story is very different and unoriginal. Notably, we have seen this concept there and there, but it
has a refresh of that storytelling stand point with a good flow of dialogue. The dialogue is not hugly
difficult or confusing for normal audiences. It is very normal and easy to understand. As the film and
the story progresses, there are layers to peal off and discover the secrets and the mysterious of our

To begin, when you have seen YOU RE NEXT, the visuals are very bloody and dark. Consistently, the
film is bloody involving some bloody violence. However, the color scheme of this film is excellent. To
evaluate, the creators did a great work with using different color and blending them together with not a
crack. The colors are beautiful to look at and the overall visuals are vivid.
The direction of this film is rather better compared to Adam WIngard s previous work YOU RE
NEXT. He s direction to this film is excellent. Underlying, the action sequences in this film, is shot
very steady with no shaky or hand held technique. Also, a very good use of location. However, the
way certain frame shots are filmed and the soundtrack of this film, we get a similar approach to the

In 1919, Sigmund Freud, the father of psychoanalysis, published his own psychological
investigation on the notion of uncanny. Previous studies were conducted on this subject by the
German psychologist Ernst Anton Jentsch, and served as the starting point for Freud s analysis.
However, the feeling of uncanny was not an easy concept to identify. Jentsch concluded that it
fits in the area of the fear of the unfamiliar and intellectual uncertainty. Freud, with some
opposition to Jentsch s investigation, took it further from what Jentsch concluded. Freud
theorizes that the uncanny is that class of terrifying which leads back to something long

There are two types of Utilitarianism; act and rule . An act utilitarian uses thought process. This means
that every decision made must be well thought out before coming into a conclusion. This mean in
depth calculation or solution to the problem. For example, a person wants to plan a trip for his honey

A few weeks ago, I visited the Museum of Modern Art. As I was going through the second exhibition
a particular painting caught my attention. Still life with three puppies by Paul Gauguin was titled. My
first encounter with this painting was through the title, which made me create negative hypothesis on
what the painting was depicting. When looking at this painting all I could think about was my lack of
fascination towards animals, especially puppies, while the person standing next to me was sighing and
smiling about according to her how cute the puppies are . Unlike that person, I am not an admirer of
puppies and as result I move quickly from the painting. However, as I made a second round on the
exhibition, this time when I saw the painting I was beginning to notice things like shapes, symbols and
colors and immediately forgot about my initial reaction. I begin to realize that there might be more to
the painting than what I originally saw, but I have been blind from my initial judgments.
In my second observation I was able to look pass this initial judgments drawn by the title. The title
Still Life with Three Puppies confirm my assumptions about the painting and prevented me from
continuing seeing what the painting is trying to depict. This name limited my thinking and didn t
allow me to see the painting from what it is.
