A nanometer is one-billionth of a meter. In numeric format it is denoted as 10−9.
For comparison A single gold atom is about a third of a nanometer in diameter.
A red blood cell is approximately 7,000 nm.
A sheet of paper is about 100,000 nanometers thick.

as: Precision farming techniques, enhancing the
ability of plants to absorb nutrients, more efficient
and targeted use of inputs, disease detection and
control diseases, withstand environmental pressures
