Technology can be our friend or our worst enemy. In Forbes The Stepford Wives
and in Peele s film, Get Out, both directors have a central idea of reconstructing our
society for it to best suited for us, as individuals. Unless you knew going in that
both of these movies were in the genre of Horror, you wouldn t be expecting it,
more in The Stepford Wives than in Get Out. However the interesting part about
both of these works is that they both have an oddly similar theory behind them, and
it leads the viewer to believe that The Stepford Wives could have been an inspiration
for Get Out, unless you already knew that after hearing Peele s interview stating that

in return. This characteristic is evident when Beth said I ll tell you what we ll do,
let s each get her (their dear mother) something for Christmas, and not get anything
for ourselves (6). In this scene, the four sisters, who get along beautifully, were
sitting by the fire and when they notice how worn out their mother s slippers were.
Initially, they didn t get any gifts or presents for Christmas since their father was
away at war and they had to save money so they decided to use a little of their hard
earned money to each buy something for themselves. But after seeing the condition
of Marmee s slippers, they decide to use their own money to buy something nice for
their mother. This quote shows utilitarianism because the Beth, Meg, Jo, and Amy all
give up their own hard earned money to do something nice and considerate for
someone else. Essentially, the four loving sisters thought of doing something to make

My Love For Art
Ever since I was a child I have always had a creative mind. My weekends as a little
girl revolved around trips to the craft store, crazy projects in the kitchen and dance
routines. During the summer months, I would make the most elaborate journals, with
each journal entry paired with their unique picture, many of which that were either
pop up or holographic (sparkly nail polish was a must). Within my high schoolcareer,
I took the rigorous, I.B. higher level
Visual Arts. This course stretched my creative mind. Piece by piece and year by
year my artistic style warped and developed into my own. Towards senior year, my
painting had a signature style, recognizable even without my name signed in the
lower corners. I participating in local art competitions and was inspired by
students my age and their love for art too. When considering what I wanted to
pursue career wise in life I knew I would be restricting myself if I did not follow
my heart and go a creative route. Fashion merchandising was a perfect blend of
business and creativity. It is an industry that never stops and is limitless in
opportunities. As a Texas resident, I eagerly applied to schools only out of state. I
wanted to jump into college and surround myself with diverse people in a foreign
area. The University of South Carolina caught my eye because of its nationally
recognized program in Fashion Merchandising. I toured the university and fell in love

Chess is an original musical with music by Benny Andersson and BjГ¶rn Ulvaeus,
with book and lyrics by Tim Rice. The story follows an unexpected relationship
between a Soviet chess grandmaster and a woman who manages his opponent during
the World Chess Match in Bangkok, Thailand. The significance of the World Chess
match in this story is tremendous because it takes place during the climax of the
Cold War, and the two adversaries whom are to face each other are from America
and the U.S.S.R, and each country wants their grandmaster to win for propaganda
purposes. The main characters in the story are not representations of real people, but
are thought to hold their roots in Bobby Fischer, one of the greatest American chess
grandmasters of all time and former World Champion, and Anatoly Karpov, one of
the greatest Russian chess grandmaster and former World Champion.
Chess was first released as an album in 1984 before any stage productions were
attempted, partly to raise the money and to see how the music would fair. On May
14th, 1986, it opened as a stage production at London s West End at the Prince
Edward Theatre and ran for three years. Two years later, it opened on Broadway,

and what seemed like a golden pathway to an industrialized future. In the 1850s,
railroads were being built all across America, and with that came the rise of the
steel and oil industries, as well as dramatic population increases in the newly
urbanized cities. Such a change in society created a gap between social classes
causes incredible amounts of poverty for many, and incredible wealth for few. Three
main struggles during this crucial time in America were political corruption, the rapid

myth or legend centered from Puerto Rico. I have grown much interest in this
folktale. The mysterious and puzzling creature brings great interest to me. I m eager

Chapter ten begins with the revolt of Rehoboam s reign. Israel rebels against the
house of David when Rehoboam chooses to disregard the elders who had served
Solomon and instead enforces a stricter rule on the people. Although the split
between Israel and Judah is not explicitly made official, chapter 11 foreshadows the
split as it profiles the emergence of a rival leader in the form of Jeroboam. The
chapter talks about how Rehoboam gains power through building up his family
and building up cities in preparation for fighting against the rest of Israel.

and prosperity, Asa s army defeated Cushite forces in a feat that was clearly the
work of the Lord. In Chapter 15 the Lord spoke to Asa through Azariah to
encourage him to keep seeking the Lord, so Asa initiated a series of major reforms
to reduce the pagan cultures in Judah. However, in chapter 16 Asa makes an
alliance with the king of Aram to retaliate against Baasha king of Israel. God was
angered that Asa did not look to the Lord for help first. Asa was angered at this
