We as humans are the same, yet we have created this concept on how our looks and
backgrounds makes us different. This idea of race is what separates us and
throughout history has been an issue, but in times of tribulation, people look past this
xenophobic ideology especially when they are determined to great lengths to find an
explanation for a terrible tragedy.
In her novel SOUTHLAND, Nina Revoyr explores a crippled diverse city where
fragile understandings and sometimes painful misunderstandings that occur across
the lines of race and culture are shown through the multiple lives associated with
young Japanese American women Jackie Ishida. In this fictional story Jackie Ishida,
a lawyer, who at first feels obligated to accomplish her grandfather s will, but later
obsessed to piece together her family s history in order to solve a terrible unreported
crime of four boys who were found murdered in her grandfather s corner store.
Even though the community is still haunted by racism and prejudice, Revoyr does an
excellent job of proving how people of different backgrounds can come together and
reach racial harmony. Throughout the novel we uncover the brutal history of
multiple, cultures which includes stories of love, racism, dignity, pain, justice, and
weaves them together in a deeply satisfying way for a common goal .

Introduction
Classroom management is essential to effective teaching because this is what makes
a classroom flow forward in the direction of academic success and a great school
year. The text states that classroom management is comprised of the necessary
processes to create and maintain a positive environment that is conducive to teaching
and learning (Newman, 2013). Classroom management plays an important role in the
setup of a classroom. Classroom management should begin on the very first day of
school. It is how efficiently a teacher can have schedules, structure, and procedures,
well maintained in the classroom. When the teacher demonstrates what the
expectations are on day one and continues to practice these routines and procedures,
it sets the tone of the classroom from day one, and is what is expected the entire year.
A teacher uses classroom management to create and maintain a learning environment.
Discipline of students in a classroom has little to do with the learning environment
and overall management of the classroom. The learning environment will be
functional when there are positive expectations of the students. In a well managed
classroom students are involved with their work as the teacher facilitates instruction
(N. A., n. d.). This increases student achievement and there is little time for confusion

In January of 2015 Kanabec County and Pine County Public Health Departments
merged into one entity; Kanabec and Pine Community Health Services (KPCHS), as
the State revenue is going to start applying funding to larger demographic areas
instead of smaller counties. The Purpose of a Community Health Board (CHB) was
to develop and maintain an integrated system of community healthservices under
local administration and within a system of state guidelines and standards. A board

productions. The Western genre and the film in the genre is a fascinating approach to
analyze the treatment of violence. Violence in the Westerngenre has changed multiple
times into completely different but interesting view points over the course of history.
The traditional western treatment of violence is related to the myth of purgative
violence, or the idea of regeneration through violence suggested by Richard Slotkin.
In the traditional Western treatment of violence, violence is considered honored and
