MULTIPLE REGRESSION
In multiple regression analysis there are
three or more variables and we try to find
out the effect of two or more independent
variables on one dependent variable.
Let x1,x2 and x3 be three variables. Let x1
be a dependent variable x2 and x3 be the
two independent variables. Then the
multiple regression analysis, the relative
movement of x1 for a unit movement in x2
and x3.
YULE’S NOTATION
Let x1,x2 and x3 be three variables :
 regression equation of x1 on x2 and x3
becomes x1=b12.3 x2+b13.2 x3
 regression equation of x2 on x1 and x3
becomes x2=b21.3 x1+b23.1 x3
 regression equation of x3 on x1 and x2
becomes x3=b31.2 x1+b32.1 x2
