Ministry Leadership Goals
As a result of my passion to plant churches, I have set forth to earn my ministry degree with honors,
on the path to qualifying for ordination. Through this course I have not only identified strategies to
best manage time and effort, but my strengths as well. Moving forward successfully will require the
application of the concepts addressed in this course in the utilization of time and strength to
accomplish these goals.
Goals
Currently I am pursuing my ministry leadership degree from Oklahoma Wesleyan University in order
that I might fulfill the educational requirements of ordainment (Church of the Nazarene, 2017).
However my academic goals are to graduate with honors and according to the timeline laid out by my

The Strength Finders results offer encouragement to a balanced approach applying core strengths
(Strengths finder, 2007). Furthermore, now that I walk with the Lord, I rely on confirmation of my
balance through God s word and the Spirit within body of Christ. As I move forward I grow in
positivity, knowing I have the hope of Christ within me, which ties directly to my strength of belief.
Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his

The Wind in the Willows Essay
The Wind in the Willows
The Wind in the Willows (published in 1908) by Kenneth Grahame is a children s fictional novel set
in England during the early 20th century. This allegory from the stimulus booklet evokes feelings of
magic and adventure but also feelings of reflection as we relate the actions of Ratty, Mole and Toad to
our lives.Grahame evokes an imaginative journey within the mind of the reader as he questions Which
journey s do we take that we really want to experience? Kenneth Grahame conveys this idea through
Mole who is being forced to take Ratty s journey instead of his own. This text broadens our
understanding of the world today in that it helps us to undertsand the complex interactions between
people.
The major ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Camps, villages, town s cities . This vivid description of what he anticipates creates imagery in the
minds of the audience allowing them to enter the imaginative realm of Toads journey.
In this extract Kenneth Grahame creates exaggeration within the characters to effectively fuel the
imagination of the audience. The audience is sent on an imaginative journey as they picture the
different facial expressions, changing body language and personalities of the characters. For example
The rat only snorted and thrust his hands deep into his pocket , cried the Toad, straddling and
expanding himself , said Toad imploringly , followed him eagerly etc. The reader can interprete the
nature and personality of the characters more precisely through exaggeration because they are able to
picture them in their imagination.
The use of exaggeration is effective as it allows the true nature of the character to be expressed in the
writing, for example said Toad imploringly illustrates how Toad is desperate and pleaing to Ratty,
however if the text only contained said Toad then the true nature of Toad would not be evoked in the
audiences imagination.
The Wind in the Willows uses the technique of anthropomorphism. This feature is visually appealing
to the audience as the animals seem less threatening and it sends the reader into a fantasy world full of
magical and adventurous thoughts. The audience can effectively engage with the human traits shown
by the

The Impressionistic Style Of Monet
Monet is a master of the impressionist advancement that rose during the nineteenth century. His
elegant style and vigilant brush strokes tested the structure and set up guidelines of contemporary
workmanship. Unmistakably, in any case, his work was subject to much examination and criticism
from his partners. No ifs ands or buts, Monet s style, as depicted in his delineation titled Water Lillies,
was not a sudden jump forward; rather, it was a transformative strategy of reliable progression.
Nevertheless, it is basic to research to what degree Monet changed his style every through hello
business.

It is fundamental in our understanding of Monet to purposely look at which some portion of
impressionism he kept and which strict principles from set up craftsmanship he rejected using. It is in

Commenting on John Rewald s prelude that When a skilled worker grasps his work, certain optical
conditions acquaint themselves with him by which he is bound. Not everything is possible at all
conditions, Millard fought that Monet essentially yielded certain parts of each style and showed the
masterpiece with the objective that it held the positive qualities of both. Firstly, the start that not
everything is possible fundamentally infers that it is hard to join both legitimacy and clear brush
strokes of impressionism into a lone piece of workmanship. Since honest to goodness scenes are
stacked with correct purposes of enthusiasm, keeping up that genuineness would not be conceivable.
This is the right test that Monet was gone up against with. Furthermore, Monet did not simply pick a
style and tail everything through his calling as Bouguereau did with set up craftsmanship; rather, he
found a work around. His test styles influenced future painting styles, for instance, Cubism as

The Significance of Jane Eyre s Relationship With Helen Burns
The Significance of Jane Eyre s Relationship With Helen Burns
Jane Eyre is a classical novel written in 1947 by Charlotte Bronte, who at the time was also known as
Currer Bell . This timeless piece is based on the life of an orphaned girl named Jane Eyre who begins
her life under the care of an Aunt, Mrs. Reed. Both Jane s parents have died within only a year of her
birth leaving Mrs. Reed with the responsibility of Jane s well being. However, Mrs. Reeds treatment
towards Jane is purely absurd and only provides the child with the bare necessities of life, such as
food, clothes and shelter.
Her Aunt as well as her only cousins resent Jane. She is an outcast, but nevertheless at only the age of

She dies of consumption and Jane is left alone with Helen dead in her arms.
The importance of friendship is considered a significant element throughout this noel. Soon after Jane
Eyre joined Lowood, she meets Helen Burns, She was the only person who was consistently nice to
Jane. Ever since the first night when Helen provided Jane with food, Jane realized that Helen was a
kind hearted and noble person and decided therefore that Helen was her first and best friend.
In contrast to Helen s personality, Jane has the total opposite approach to life. She is short tempered
and will say what she thinks despite the circumstances. She is sincere, straightforward and does not
fear to articulate her point of view however fallacious it may be.
One factor of Jane Eye which interests the reader is the relationship between Jane, her Aunt and her
cousins, compared to Jane s relationship with Helen. Despite the blood relation between Jane and her
aunt and cousins, they treat Jane with sincere disrespect and animosity.
Then Mrs. Reed subjoined: Take her away to the red room, and lock her in there . Four hands were
immediately laid upon me, and I was borne upstairs .
Jane s Aunt is a selfish woman and despite knowing the fact that Jane has no other relative, she still
lacks any sympathetic feeling towards her. Jane

Pokemonke Treatment Plan
My treatment kit for children with communication disorders consists of 5 activities. The first involves
a cardboard box covered in construction paper made to look like a monster. This monster box has an
opening for its mouth where items can be dropped through. Once the pieces are placed inside, the
child cannot take them out, but there is a hidden opening under one of the sides of the box, allowing
the clinician to remove the pieces later. The monster box would be appropriate for all children, both
male and female, but may be most appropriate for children that are 3 to 5 years old. This activity was
designed in particular for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, as they tend to have difficulties
with turn taking. To address turn taking ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This activity includes laminated Pokéballs , a dry erase marker, and Pokémon cards. In this activity,
the client searches for Pokéballs that have been hidden around the room and must produce the target
sound or word that is on the back of the Pokéball for as many trials as the clinician wishes to elicit.
Should the client successfully produce those words, they will get to keep the Pokéball and capture a
Pokémon by choosing a Pokémon card. To win the game, the client must collect at least 3 Pokémon
cards that he will use to battle the clinician, who has her own Pokémon set aside. Given the abstract
and multi step nature of this activity, this activity would be most appropriate for older children ages 7
to 15. This activity is designed for addressing articulation disorders because a target phoneme or word
can easily be written on the back of each Pokéball and drilled. The third activity in my treatment kit is
a story taco. For this activity, I folded a paper plate in half and cut four different colored pieces of
construction paper to put inside. Each color has a different label: setting, characters, conflict, and
theme. After reading a short story, the client will fill in each piece and place it in their story taco.
Then, the client will use their taco to Taco bout the story. This particular activity would address
delayed receptive and expressive language skills, as the client not only has to analyze a story but also

Essay about God Is Not Great
In his book God Is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything, Christopher Hitchens dissects and
criticizes the various claims of religions and the tragic events that have been caused by various
religions. The title of the book sums up the arguments of Hitchens in this book in the fact that he
makes many arguments of why religion poisons everything. The majority of the chapters in this book
discuss why he believes religion to be a manmade notion that has led to more trouble than anything
else in the world. Most of his focus is on the three Abrahamic religions of Christianity, Islam, and
Judaism but he does fit in criticism of other religions as well. The topics he chooses to discuss range
from the sketchy origins of Mormonism to the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Christopher Hitchens makes the argument of the nonexistence of God by using the examples of the
faults of religion then he concludes his book with a chapter on a need for the abolishment of religion
to study human kind without its presence. Hitchens arguments begin strongly at the start of chapter
two. The themes of this chapter and that of chapter four deal with how religion is effective at ending
lives. The discussion in the second chapter revolves around the political situation in which violent
outbreaks have been caused by religious people. A good number of pages in this section deal with a
response to a question he was given. The question in Hitchens s words is I was to imagine myself in a
strange city as the evening was coming on. Toward me I was to imagine that I saw a large group of
men approaching. Now would I feel safer, or less safe, if I was to learn that they were just coming
from a prayer meeting? (18). The answer from Hitchens is that he would be scared and the reason he
gives is due to his experiences from various places that have had struggles with politics that stem from
religious causes. His view on these conflicts leads him many times to the statement that religion
poisons everything (22). Chapter four talks of another way religion ends life in the form of the risks
they take on individual health. The first example he uses is that of polio vaccine. In Nigeria, the

Eugene Ramirez Research Paper
Lindsey Ramirez has little to no tact. Lindsey s eyes are sometimes red. Sometimes she reeks of cigar
smoke. Like Forest Gump said, sometimes she smells like cigarettes. Lindsey sometimes walks
around in public with cigarettes or cigars lodged between her ear and the side of her head, for the
entire world to see. Sometimes she stinks like a distillery. Sometimes she smells like beer: sometimes
she smells like liquor. It is nothing for Lindsey to pull out a fifth in broad daylight and say, Let s get
drunk. Lindsey has very little stage presence. She often acts as if she does not care about her
surroundings. She curses and she is loud. She turns ordinary parking lots into movie scenes. She wears
her sleeping clothes when she leaves the house and goes to the grocery store. Lindsey loves attention,
even if that attention is negative. It is hard to involve her in wholesome family functions because she
will turn the best day ever into a most regrettable moment. She always thinks she is right but everyone
knows that she is wrong. Her immature behavior has left her alienated and avoided like a plague.

Missions
In the 18th century, what is now California was populated mostly by Native Americans. Late in the
century, Franciscan missions sponsored by Spain and the Roman Catholic church played an important
role in establishing European settlement in the region. The Spaniards, who had already colonized parts
of Mexico to the south, wanted to protect those colonies and extend their influence northward. The
Roman Catholic church wanted to convert Native Americans to Christianity. The mission system
supported both goals. The first Franciscan mission in California (Mission San Diego de Alcalá) was
established by Father Junípero Serra in what in now San Diego. Fifty four years later in 1823, the
Franciscans founded their last of 21 missions at San Francisco Solano. Each mission had an armed
presidio to protect it. Each sought to teach the Native Americans both Christianity and European
farming methods. Many of the mission churches remain today as living examples of

The Environmental Change and the Collapse of Easter Island
The environmental change and the collapse of Easter Island
Ruud Coumans
In this paper, we will search for an explanation of the mystical collapse of society on Easter Island,
during the 18th century. We ll use the second chapter for the book Collapse. How Society Choose to
Fail or Succeed by Jared Diamond. First we will summarize some of the evidence supporting the
explanatory framework of the author to give an outline of the situation. Then we will state the research
question. After that we will talk about the underlying process where we will discuss the actions of the
assumptions of the actors goals, the theory of the action implied and the initial conditions. We will
finish with a conclusion.

With climate change he does not mean global warming, but the fact that climate may vary between
months or years. The problem is that in the time of the Easter Island most people only lived long
enough to witness one climate, and not for example a time of plenty and a time of little rain. The
inhabitants of the island therefore had no firsthand memory of a previous period of little or plenty rain.
Therefore, every time they had to come up with a new strategy because they did not know an old
strategy. Another problem with good and bad decades is that after a good period there is too much
population to be supported, and after a bad time there are not enough people to deal with a climate
change. There is not much known about the climate changes at Easter Island. But, we do know that the
population changed a few times because of kidnapping and different epidemics. This means that
although there may have not been a lot of climate change, there was a constant change in the number
of people living on the island who may have not known how to deal with different circumstances. The
third and fourth factor Diamond mentions are hostile neighbors and trade partners. But, because Easter
Island was an island almost completely isolated from the rest of the world , these factors cannot have
played an important role in the collapse of the island. Although in the book is mentioned that the
Easter Islanders sometimes had visitors, these visits were not

The Importance Of The American Dream In The House On Mango...
By definition, the American Dream is the ideals of freedom, equality, and opportunity traditionally
held to be available to every American. In simpler terms, everyone is equal and has the ability to
achieve the perfect life. Though some people will achieve this Dream in their lifetime, many will not
due to certain obstacles and requirements that prevent them from reaching the American Dream. In the
novel The House on Mango Street there are many people who are struggling to escape the tedious way
of life on Mango Street. Esperanza, the narrator of this eye opening book, tells stories of her friends
and neighbors troubles and their attempts at leaving Mango Street. Many try, but very few succeed
due to the many obstacles they face. In this novel, the guarantee that everyone can be happy is
questioned. There are many ideals that can prohibit you from reaching the American Dream.
Throughout life, you will face many challenges and obstacles you must overcome in order to reach
happiness and the American Dream. One main obstacle that blocks many people from reaching the
American Dream is race and ethnicity. In The House on Mango Street , the people who come into
Esperanza s neighborhood are scared that the neighbors are dangerous and will hurt them just because
of the color of their skin. These visitors are assuming wrong. Esperanza knows that many of her

The Stock Market Crash Of 1929, By Brenda Lange
On October 29, 1929, America experienced the most calamitous stock market crash in its history.
Although some tried to prevent the crash from getting worse, the fear and panic that so many
Americans felt, caused them to make a horrible situation even worse. The 1929 stock market crash
affected America in several ways, causing America to go from a time of prosperity, to a time of strife,
leading Americans to lose billions of dollars and also leading to an increase in homelessness and
unemployment rates, leaving America devastated.
Before the market crash, many people were happy and optimistic about the future. Brenda Lange,
author of The Stock Market Crash of 1929, wrote that the time before the crash was a time of
optimism and hope, and the future looked promising. (Lange 12), referring to how people had nothing
to worry about. With a majority of people believing that nothing bad would happen, the small signs of
the future crash went unnoticed, leading to a mass panic when the market first went down, which was
a partial cause of the October 29th crash. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Music Tempo s Effect on Heart Rate Essay
Introduction Being a college student in this day in age is never easy. We are always on the move and
become stressed very easily. One of the ways students deal with the pressure of ongoing assignments,
papers, and various projects is to simply listen to music. Music is very popular to our specific age
group, but is consuming different styles of music necessarily a healthy alternate to the stress? How
does music affect the heart rate and what different types of music have a greater affect on heart rate?
Music most definitely has emotional value. Heart rate can be directly influenced by these emotional
changes. Our group decided to test music tempo s effect on heart rate. This experiment is relevant to
one s health because it is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As you can see form Chart B, we calculated percent change between the different types of music.
When our subjects listened to heavy metal music, their heart rates increased on average. When our
subjects listened to classical music, their heart rates decreased on average, below resting heart rate.
Our tables do not show the negative side of the spectrum, but still show the percent change in heart
rate, which is what we were trying to accomplish. Due to classical music actually lowering heart rate,
our hypothesis was not proven complete. Relate back to our hypothesis. We hypothesized that fast
tempo music would increase heart rates while slower paced music will keep heart rate at about the
same. Still, if you relate back to the table and Chart A, we have still conducted positive evidence to
prove that music does play a role in a change of heart rates. Each subject did experience a change in
heart rate, both positive and negative. This experiment does relate back to the original real world issue
of heart rate. Being able to understand how to control heart rate is very important. If someone has
heart problems or an irregular heart beat they need to be aware of certain music that could potentially
be harmful to them. Like wise, if someone were trying to be in a good mood or simply be hyper, they
would enjoy listening to high

The Importance Of Corporate Finance For An Entrepreneur
This research has been conducted to examine the importance of corporate finance to an entrepreneur,
and the role it plays in an organization regardless of the structure of a company, or stage of growth.
The various forms of ownership are reviewed for startup companies and major corporations to
highlight the advantages and disadvantages of each form of ownership, and to illustrate the importance
of corporate finance. To provide a balanced view of ownership, less common forms of business
ownership are examined using the same criteria to further illustrate the importance of corporate
finance. Introduction Corporate finance is the area of finance dealing with sources of funding and the
capital structure of corporations (Brealey, Myers, Allen, 2011). Corporate finance also relate to the
corporate strategy of an organization (Universtiy, 2015) that managers employ to increase the value of
the firm (Scarborough Cornwall, 2014, p. 71) for its shareholders (Brealey, et al., 2011).
Understanding corporate finance is a critical skill for all managers, regardless to the type of business
ownership. Too often, there is no thought given to the type of ownership an entrepreneur should
choose (Kaplan Warren, 2013). Consideration should also be given to liability exposures, taxes,
capital requirements for startup companies, future capital requirements, motivation, and
entrepreneurial fit. Entrepreneurs are motivated by control, by wealth creation, or by social

in the US. conflict with Japan throughout World War II. The narrator, Ned Begay, is a Navajo soldier
who wonders why the Japanese supported the war so strongly while Americans grew more fatigued of
the war every day. After the war, he learns about an organization called Tokubetsu Kōtō Keisatsu;
although the name was often shortened to Tokkō, this agency was more notoriously known as the
Thought Police. The agency was a military group that controlled Japan s population by imprisoning or
murdering anyone who spoke against the war movement or criticized the government. During the war,

The Tokkō were more secretive than the Japanese Military Police, the Kempeitai. The military police
were rife and had more overall power. The Tokko were less known, but worked towards the same goal
of stifling the possibility of rebellion against the monarchy. Their official purpose being to repress
dangerous thoughts, the Tokkō would be infamously known as the Thought Police. Dangerous
comprised anything anti government, anti emperor, leftist, and critical of the war. The Thought Police
also targeted labor unions, Koreans living in Japan, religious groups other than shinto, communists,
socialists, anarchists, and those thought to be breaking the Public Peace Act. The Tokkō used many
undercover informants who secretly joined leftist organizations and provided information about
leaders and meetings to the Thought Police. The agents spied on people s telephone and radio
communications and informed on activists in their own neighborhoods. Violators could be tortured to
death during interrogation, and the public was urged to report any and all

How Does Esther Replace Vashti
Esther is like the Proverbs 31 woman; like Ruth and Judith, when Esther is queen she puts on not only
her beautiful royal clothing on, but also strength and dignity which are represented through the
clothing. Because Queen Vashti does not listen to King Ahasuerus, the king sent letters to every
province, declaring that every man should be mater in his own household (Esther 1:22). The king s
order is backward of the Proverbs 31 woman, who oversees the house. Esther is chosen by Ahasuerus
to replace Vashti as queen. After selected, she was given months of cosmetic treatments (2:8 9). Esther
then won the kings favor from the group of young virgins he systematically raped. Up until this point,

Women s Responsibility Of Rear The Children And Keep The...
Introduction:
From the beginning of times it has always been the women s responsibility to rear the children and
keep the house tidy, traditional wifely duties. Why? Because kids come from inside of women? Pew
Research Center, reports that men spend 4.8 hours a week (in 2011) more with their children than they
did in 1965 and six more hours a week (in 2011) on household duties and chores. Women actually
spend less time than they did in 1965, a reported fourteen hours less a week in 2011 (USA Today,
2013) .Men and women are learning to work together. Work/life balance is becoming a shared priority
which in 1965 was not as women spent most the time in the home. I do find it very interesting that
men and women with children both spend about 10 hours less doing leisure activities with kids (USA
Today, 2013); I find it interesting only because the number is so much higher than originally thought
which suggests that teamwork between husband and wife is beneficial to everyone making better
relationships. The percentage of stay at home dads has increased by 3% in 1989 to 7% in 2012 (Pew
Research Center, USA Today).
Fathers are extremely conflicted today, says Christopher Brown of Cedar Park, Texas, who is

Mao Zedong Hero or Villain?!
Through out all of history we have seen so many heroes and villains all over the world. But one place

Environmental Psychology Research Methods
Summary
In this study conducted by Megan J. Bissing Olsoni, Aarti Iyer, Kelly S. Fielding and Hannes Zacher,
a survey/diary design was used to examine the relationship of pro environmental behavior, employees
daily affect, pro environmental attitude, daily task related pro environmental behavior, and daily
proactive pro environmental behavior. There were 56 participants in the study and they were all
employed in small businesses. The surveys were done twice daily, after the initial baseline survey was
conducted. Surveys were taken only on workdays, concluding on the tenth work day. The authors had
various hypotheses concerning the effects of daily un activated positive affect and pro environmental
attitude, and if they would predict daily task related pro environmental behavior, as well how daily
activated positive affect would predict daily proactive pro environmental behavior among employees.
The findings were positive in their majority of their hypotheses. The findings propose that the

Social Identity Theory
In Racial and Ethnic Relations, Feagin and Feagin explore important matters of Culture and Ethnic
groups to better understand the presence of discrimination and prejudices that we see in modern
society. It is through their specific analysis of prejudice and stereotypes that we are introduced to this
term called ethnocentrism. As they reference the definition of ethnocentrism made available by
William G. Sumner, it is described as believing the group that you culturally or socially identify with
to be central in society and all the other groups are only seen as something relative to the group that
you belong in (11.) This term can be further investigated with the introduction of a psychology theory
called the social identity theory. It proposes that discrimination is used to strengthen one s social
identity and improve one s self image. Basically, it further concretes the us and them (or in group and
out group) mentalities through the attribution of negative qualities to the out group. It is the presence
of ethnocentrism and the negative implications of the social identity theory that it relates to that we
can best understand and evaluate the structure and social experiences of those who are forced into the
out group positions. This term can be further investigated through the analysis of text from M.
Butterfly by David Henry Hwang. It is through his parody of the opera Madama Buterfly in which
Puccini pushes racial stereotypes through the actions of the character Cio

What Challenges Did The British Face During The...
According to American History volume I, at the outbreak of the war the British had its issues but
rather than try some other means to subdue the revolt the British government decided on the use of
military force. Although the British had better administrative and financial systems as well as a well
organized army and navy, things the Americans lacked. It still faced problems and it was not prepared
for the war with the colonials in 1775. Great Britain had a huge burden of debt from the preceding
wars and as always, this had forced cuts to the Army and Navy budgets. In order to suppress the revolt
the British had to raise the forces (50,000) to wage the campaign and hold the territory gained. The
British government had no means to compel military service and overseas military duty was very
unpopular in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It was able to supply it military reasonably well over the 3,000 mile distance. No logistic feat of the
magnitude happened again until the Allied invasion of North African in World War II, 150 years later.
However, major shortcoming did exist and before The British identified and corrected them, they
assured the defeat of their Army. A lack of sufficient reserve supply, cautious generalship, insufficient
transportation, widespread corruption, and incoherent strategy to maximize loyalist support in the
colonies ensured failure. A serious challenge facing the British involved shipping food from Europe to
Americas, inadequate packaging, corruption, and inland to port transportation limited what made it
from supply source to the transport ships. Storms also had an impact on logistics, a major logistics
convoy left Cork, Ireland, and many had to turn back to England, divert to the Caribbean or spent
weeks sailing up and down the eastern coast of North America waiting on the weather to break. The

Cell Phone, And Electronic Phones Used In The Classroom
Emely Rodriguez ENG.1301.S62 Ms. Gonzales 08.DEC.2017 Devices before Paper When many hear
about the use of cellphones and /or electronic devices being used in the classroom, they are quick to
abject to how an awful idea it would be. But stop for a second and think about how different schools
would be if they allowed the privelege of cellphone and/or other electronic device use. Schools should
allow the use of a cellphone and/or electronic device in the classroom for educational purposes rather
than sticking to the traditional paper and pencil because, the enviroment will benefit from the reduced
number of paper we would use, the technology is always advancing and so should we, and we have all
the resources that we could possibly need to learn in our hands. Paper seems to be an essential need in
our daily lives, so much so that everywhere we look we see paper, especially in our classrooms. The
use of our cellphones as well as other electronic devices in a classroom setting can help lower the
amount of paper being used. It s an important resource that will later lead to having a positive effect
on our enviorment. As we all know paper comes from trees, but that is just one product that comes
from cutting down trees. Other products include things such as the inside souls of our shoes, electrical
plugs, home insallation, card board packaging, amongsts other things. At, 35 percent of the total trees

Law And Grace In The Bible And Aesop s Fables
In today s world people make a common mistake by making comparisons with the Bible and Aesop s
Fables. In the Bible it is important to which is emphasized more, law or grace. It is just as important to
do the same in Aesop s Fables. Very often a mistake is easily made in reading Jesus s Parables.
Understanding the emphasis of law and grace in both the Bible and Aesop s Fables and realizing
mistakes we make with reading Jesus s parables can help with reading the parables
Both law and grace are emphasized in the Bible. The Apostle Paul writes in his book of Romans, For
by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes
knowledge of sin. In this passage the the Apostle Paul saying that no one can be saved from following
God s law. His thoughtful reasoning is that God only made the law because of our constant sinning. In
the book of Matthew, Jesus states, for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many
for the forgiveness of sins. Jesus tells that his blood is the fulfillment of the covenant God made with
man. What Jesus is saying because of the sacrifice anyone who believes in him will be forgiven. In the
Bible it states that no one can follow the law given by God because it originated from sin but those
who believes in Christ are saved because of the grace given by God.
In Aesop s Fables however law is more emphasized than grace in the silly stories. In The Ants and the
Grasshopper when the Grasshopper

Essay On The Paradox Of The Reformation
The Paradox of the Reformation in Ireland: Why it is Essential in Spite of its Failure 1. Introduction
While the Protestant Reformation was a movement that was influenced, and even caused by events
prior to 1517; a domino effect was unleashed when, on October 31, 1517, a young German monk
named Martin Luther nailed his work, The Ninety Five Theses, to the door of All Saints Church in
Wittenberg, Germany. Although Luther had never intended it to do so; his exploit acted as a catalyst
for what was a nearly perfect formula for this reformation to ensue. In the years following that night;
what started out as an intended scholarly objection, led to disputes, and disputes to rebellion, and
eventually, those rebellions into what could be categorized ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Edward VI sought to continue to reform but now he did so in the form of new religious policies. These
attempts were futile, short lived, and overshadowed by Edward s short reign and his half sister Mary s
rise to the throne and actions as queen. On her succession, Roman Catholic worship was reinstated not
only in Ireland but in Great Britain as well. This however did also not last long as Mary passed away
five years after ascending to the throne at which point in time her sister Elizabeth took her place.
Elizabeth immediately reverted to the ways of her late brother and father, as she was Protestant. When
she came to the throne, Elizabeth had the Act of Supremacy and Act of Uniformity sent through
parliament they both passed. The former was an act that her father had passed in order to gain
authority of the church. She had to replace it because it was repealed by her sister Mary while she was
Queen. The latter made attendance at church mandatory and established fines for missing. From that
point forward the Church of Ireland, the Anglican church, was the established church of Ireland; this
irritated much of the population because they were not a part of the privileged minority of the

Forensic Examination Of Forensic Science
Forensic science is defined as science that pertains to law. Forensic science is used during
investigations of a crime scene. Many forensic techniques are used during the investigation of crime
scenes. These techniques are applied to what is considered to be trace evidence. Trace evidence is
evidence left at the scene of the crime that helps tell the story of what had happened and could
possibly lead to a suspect. The reliability of forensic evidence testing is a widely debated topic in the
world of forensic science. The new Gold standard in evidence is DNA analysis, because of its
reliability. Finger printing as well as ballistics are often used but are said to be imperfect compared to
DNA analysis. DNA analysis is deemed the most reliable because it has faced rigorous scientific
experimentation.
Fingerprinting is one of the oldest tool of forensic analysis. Fingerprinting is done by dusting a latent
print with aluminum flakes. This print is then photographed and picked up by clear adhesive tape. This
is where some of the controversy comes in. Fingerprint powders can contaminate the prints and ruin
the opportunity to perform other techniques that could result in more information. Another problem
that arises in the courtroom with fingerprinting is how is it determined that someone has touched that
exact object and how are fingerprint collected by the crime scene investigator. Simon A. Cole, a
Professor of Criminology, Law and Society at Cornell University, says At the

The Wind in the Willows Essay The Wind in the Willows The Wind in the Willows (published in 1908) by Kenneth Grahame is a children s fictional novel set in England during the early 20th century. This allegory from the stimulus booklet evokes feelings of magic and adventure but also feelings of reflection as we relate the actions of Ratty, Mole and Toad to our lives.Grahame evokes an imaginative journey within the mind of the reader as he questions Which journey s do we take that we really want to experience? Kenneth Grahame conveys this idea through Mole who is being forced to take Ratty s journey instead of his own. This text broadens our understanding of the world today in that it helps us to undertsand the complex interactions between people. The major ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Camps, villages, town s cities . This vivid description of what he anticipates creates imagery in the minds of the audience allowing them to enter the imaginative realm of Toads journey. In this extract Kenneth Grahame creates exaggeration within the characters to effectively fuel the imagination of the audience. The audience is sent on an imaginative journey as they picture the different facial expressions, changing body language and personalities of the characters. For example The rat only snorted and thrust his hands deep into his pocket , cried the Toad, straddling and expanding himself , said Toad imploringly , followed him eagerly etc. The reader can interprete the nature and personality of the characters more precisely through exaggeration because they are able to picture them in their imagination. The use of exaggeration is effective as it allows the true nature of the character to be expressed in the writing, for example said Toad imploringly illustrates how Toad is desperate and pleaing to Ratty, however if the text only contained said Toad then the true nature of Toad would not be evoked in the audiences imagination. The Wind in the Willows uses the technique of anthropomorphism. This feature is visually appealing to the audience as the animals seem less threatening and it sends the reader into a fantasy world full of magical and adventurous thoughts. The audience can effectively engage with the human traits shown by the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

His elegant style and vigilant brush strokes tested the structure and set up guidelines of contemporary workmanship. Unmistakably, in any case, his work was subject to much examination and criticism from his partners. Both Jane s parents have died within only a year of her birth leaving Mrs. Reed with the responsibility of Jane s well being. Ever since the first night when Helen provided Jane with food, Jane realized that Helen was a kind hearted and noble person and decided therefore that Helen was her first and best friend. In contrast to Helen s personality, Jane has the total opposite approach to life. She is short tempered and will say what she thinks despite the circumstances. She is sincere, straightforward and does not fear to articulate her point of view however fallacious it may be. One factor of Jane Eye which interests the reader is the relationship between Jane, her Aunt and her cousins, compared to Jane s relationship with Helen. Should the client successfully produce those words, they will get to keep the Pokéball and capture a Pokémon by choosing a Pokémon card. • 11. Essay about God Is Not Great In his book God Is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything, Christopher Hitchens dissects and criticizes the various claims of religions and the tragic events that have been caused by various religions. The title of the book sums up the arguments of Hitchens in this book in the fact that he makes many arguments of why religion poisons everything. The majority of the chapters in this book discuss why he believes religion to be a manmade notion that has led to more trouble than anything else in the world. Christopher Hitchens makes the argument of the nonexistence of God by using the examples of the faults of religion then he concludes his book with a chapter on a need for the abolishment of religion to study human kind without its presence. Hitchens arguments begin strongly at the start of chapter two. The themes of this chapter and that of chapter four deal with how religion is effective at ending lives. The discussion in the second chapter revolves around the political situation in which violent outbreaks have been caused by religious people. A good number of pages in this section deal with a response to a question he was given. The question in Hitchens s words is I was to imagine myself in a strange city as the evening was coming on. Toward me I was to imagine that I saw a large group of men approaching. Now would I feel safer, or less safe, if I was to learn that they were just coming from a prayer meeting? (18). The answer from Hitchens is that he would be scared and the reason he gives is due to his experiences from various places that have had struggles with politics that stem from religious causes. His view on these conflicts leads him many times to the statement that religion poisons everything (22). Chapter four talks of another way religion ends life in the form of the risks they take on individual health. The first example he uses is that of polio vaccine. In Nigeria, the ... Late in the century, Franciscan missions sponsored by Spain and the Roman Catholic church played an important role in establishing European settlement in the region. The Spaniards, who had already colonized parts of Mexico to the south, wanted to protect those colonies and extend their influence northward. The Roman Catholic church wanted to convert Native Americans to Christianity. The mission system supported both goals. The first Franciscan mission in California (Mission San Diego de Alcalá) was established by Father Junípero Serra in what in now San Diego. Fifty four years later in 1823, the Franciscans founded their last of 21 missions at San Francisco Solano. Each mission had an armed presidio to protect it. The problem is that in the time of the Easter Island most people only lived long enough to witness one climate, and not for example a time of plenty and a time of little rain. The inhabitants of the island therefore had no firsthand memory of a previous period of little or plenty rain. Therefore, every time they had to come up with a new strategy because they did not know an old strategy. Another problem with good and bad decades is that after a good period there is too much population to be supported, and after a bad time there are not enough people to deal with a climate change. There is not much known about the climate changes at Easter Island. But, we do know that the population changed a few times because of kidnapping and different epidemics. This means that although there may have not been a lot of climate change, there was a constant change in the number of people living on the island who may have not known how to deal with different circumstances. The third and fourth factor Diamond mentions are hostile neighbors and trade partners. Although some tried to prevent the crash from getting worse, the fear and panic that so many Americans felt, caused them to make a horrible situation even worse. The 1929 stock market crash affected America in several ways, causing America to go from a time of prosperity, to a time of strife, leading Americans to lose billions of dollars and also leading to an increase in homelessness and unemployment rates, leaving America devastated. Before the market crash, many people were happy and optimistic about the future. Brenda Lange, author of The Stock Market Crash of 1929, wrote that the time before the crash was a time of optimism and hope, and the future looked promising. (Lange 12), referring to how people had nothing to worry about. With a majority of people believing that nothing bad would happen, the small signs of the future crash went unnoticed, leading to a mass panic when the market first went down, which was a partial cause of the October 29th crash. ... When our subjects listened to heavy metal music, their heart rates increased on average. When our subjects listened to classical music, their heart rates decreased on average, below resting heart rate. Our tables do not show the negative side of the spectrum, but still show the percent change in heart rate, which is what we were trying to accomplish. Due to classical music actually lowering heart rate, our hypothesis was not proven complete. Relate back to our hypothesis. We hypothesized that fast tempo music would increase heart rates while slower paced music will keep heart rate at about the same. Still, if you relate back to the table and Chart A, we have still conducted positive evidence to prove that music does play a role in a change of heart rates. Each subject did experience a change in heart rate, both positive and negative. This experiment does relate back to the original real world issue of heart rate. Being able to understand how to control heart rate is very important. If someone has heart problems or an irregular heart beat they need to be aware of certain music that could potentially be harmful to them. Introduction: From the beginning of times it has always been the women s responsibility to rear the children and keep the house tidy, traditional wifely duties. Why? Because kids come from inside of women? Pew Research Center, reports that men spend 4.8 hours a week (in 2011) more with their children than they did in 1965 and six more hours a week (in 2011) on household duties and chores. Women actually spend less time than they did in 1965, a reported fourteen hours less a week in 2011 (USA Today, 2013) .Men and women are learning to work together. Work/life balance is becoming a shared priority which in 1965 was not as women spent most the time in the home. I do find it very interesting that men and women with children both spend about 10 hours less doing leisure activities with kids (USA Today, 2013); I find it interesting only because the number is so much higher than originally thought which suggests that teamwork between husband and wife is beneficial to everyone making better relationships. The percentage of stay at home dads has increased by 3% in 1989 to 7% in 2012 (Pew Research Center, USA Today). Social Identity Theory In Racial and Ethnic Relations, Feagin and Feagin explore important matters of Culture and Ethnic groups to better understand the presence of discrimination and prejudices that we see in modern society. It is through their specific analysis of prejudice and stereotypes that we are introduced to this term called ethnocentrism. As they reference the definition of ethnocentrism made available by William G. Sumner, it is described as believing the group that you culturally or socially identify with to be central in society and all the other groups are only seen as something relative to the group that you belong in (11.) This term can be further investigated with the introduction of a psychology theory called the social identity theory. It proposes that discrimination is used to strengthen one s social identity and improve one s self image. Basically, it further concretes the us and them (or in group and out group) mentalities through the attribution of negative qualities to the out group. It is the presence of ethnocentrism and the negative implications of the social identity theory that it relates to that we can best understand and evaluate the structure and social experiences of those who are forced into the out group positions. This term can be further investigated through the analysis of text from M. Butterfly by David Henry Hwang. It is through his parody of the opera Madama Buterfly in which Puccini pushes racial stereotypes through the actions of the character Cio ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Many forensic techniques are used during the investigation of crime scenes. These techniques are applied to what is considered to be trace evidence. Trace evidence is evidence left at the scene of the crime that helps tell the story of what had happened and could possibly lead to a suspect. The reliability of forensic evidence testing is a widely debated topic in the world of forensic science. The new Gold standard in evidence is DNA analysis, because of its reliability. Finger printing as well as ballistics are often used but are said to be imperfect compared to DNA analysis.
