The document summarizes a group project to create a mobile app. It introduces the three group members and their roles in researching content and designing the app. It describes how they came up with the idea for a music trivia app and how they approached the technical aspects, with one member taking the lead on coding. It notes things they would do differently like thinking more creatively and communicating better. Overall, the group enjoyed the creative process despite challenges and were proud of the music trivia app they created called "What Do You Know?".
In this presentation I will provide key insights into the Skylink business description, target audience, user research, user personas, user actions & app screen lists, user flows, and sketch & digital app screen wireframes.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

2. Introduction…
We have 3 members in our group.
Abiola Folarin
Oceane Ehiman
Hanna Jatulan
Both Abiola and Hanna, naturally took the role of researching the different types of genre’s and also looking
into the background of numerous artists and focused on what type of questions we wanted to ask our users.
We wanted the questions to be difficult to a certain degree, but still wanted to keep it reasonable so that
people could enjoy the app.
Oceane, although she also helped with the research, she took up the more challenging side of the project
which was decoding and really spent a lot of her time shaping and moulding the app that we have now. When
we came up with the name we struggled to figure out how exactly we wanted the text to look and where to
place it. Now we all had an input in regards to the text, and how big or small we wanted it to be, but both
Oceane and Hanna played a huge part when playing around on Photoshop with the logo to really make the
vision come to life.
3. How we came up with the idea?
Funny enough all three of us shared a love of music, so Abiola early on suggested that
we all do a music app, but what type of music app was the problem. We were all on
board with the suggestion Abiola made, So for ages we all talked and brainstormed.
Then it came to us, we decided to do a music quiz type app, which once again
resonated with us all, as we had quite a knowledge for music anyway.
Hanna then began piecing pictures that we later on used to create a mood board. The
pictures that Hanna collected from different magazines helped to give us ideas, in
regards to what type of images we wanted to use and how we were going to use them
on our app.
We looked at old school shows, like Moesha, Smart Guy, Sister Sister and many others,
so that we could make this app extremely fun and enjoyable and almost in a way our
users were able to relive fragments of their childhood by having to point out missing
words from the theme songs and so on.
4. How we approached the technical aspect
of the project
The technical aspect of the project I think we all struggled as this was something
we all had not done before previously.
There was a lot of questions that were being asked continuously, especially when
it came to the decoding and sorting out all the codes. Oceane remained calm, and
communicated with everyone else in the group as well as discussing it with the
teacher, to ensure that we were all on the right track and that as a group we were
being as thorough as possible.
5. What would be done differently?
Collectively we all agreed that being able, to create an app was an amazing opportunity and very
insightful. We were all able to learn the basic fundamentals that goes into making something like
this.
We all should have thought more outside of the box in regards to what we wanted for this app, if
we had challenged ourselves more, then we would have been able to get more out of this project.
Although we chose something we all pretty much enjoyed, we would have learned more had we
gone down a different route.
Working in a group can also be challenging, because we all have to reason for the greater good of
the main objective and sometimes this can be difficult because we do not all think the same and
that can lead to misunderstandings. Communicating more effectively, if we had to do this all again
would be something we should definitely implement the next time,
Had we had more time also I think in terms of the incentive it could have been improved, but we
all worked with the tools we were given at the time to the best of our ability.
6. Experience
It is safe to say that we all thoroughly enjoyed this creative process that we had to
endure. Although there were challenging times, we still were able to come
together to deliver an awesome app.
We came up with a music app that is called WHAT DO YOU KNOW? And this tests
ones musical knowledge throughout, especially with the different genre’s which
for some people they could excel more in one area than others.
