1. Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product? Ravi Gurung
2. Research We did a lot of research especially on our main task. From this research we wanted to find out we were targeting our magazine to right type of people and it would attract there attention. We research on forms and convention and applied it to develop the main task from the prelim task. I have also done research on Funk music to see what types of audience it attracts and what kind of music it covers. From my research I have found out funk music has variety of subgenre's which is very rare. This will target wider range of audience because its will cover all-round music start from funkcore, punk-funk, to more hip-hop and R&B such as G-funk and funk jam.
3. Comparison When we look back at out preliminary task to our main task I can say there have been big changes. However our intention has been same for both tasks which were to have an affective magazine that is eye catching to our audience. Firstly in our prelim task we used technologies such as photography cameras to take photos to make it stand out more. From this our magazine would look more realistic. For both of our task we used black background because we thought most colours looks more visible and eye catching on top of black. As you can see my prelim task I used Orange for most of the fonts and I believe I could’ve selected a better use of colour. For our main task our mast head was rainbow colour and you can tell we used this as our house style through out the magazine because it was a very appealing colour on top of the black background.
4. Comments and reaction We have been getting lots of feedback from friends and teachers. From this we can know our mistakes and where we went wrong. This way we can improve and work on our mistakes to make it look better than before. From my draft I was told to change numerous of thing by my teacher even though I got good marks. I was told to organize my front cover and make sure the main photo aren't chopped off. This allowed me to notice even further mistakes I was making and made changes for my final draft which I believe was well improved.
5. Progressions and improvements When we started designing the new task there were so many skills we have learned to use when making our prelim task. With this advantage we used wider range of tools and used software such as adobe photo shop to its maximum ability.
