Steve Jobs At Wozniak And Ronald Wayne
Steve Jobs found Apple over 40 years ago; Jobs, along with his two friends Steve Wozniak and Ronald
Wayne. The three conceived the company, Apple Computer Inc, on April 1, 1976, in Job s parent s
garage and from then on they would create a technological cultural phenomenon. Fast forward to
January 9, 2007, and the first generation iPhone was released which revolutionized the smartphone as
we know it today as it was the first smartphone to feature an adaptive touch screen display. The first
generation iPhone had a 3.5 inch screen, was encased in metal and featured the trademark home
button found on the bottom of the display. The first generation iPhone also featured an impressive 2
megapixel camera, had a 320x480 pixel display, 128 MB of RAM, 4 GB of internal storage, iOS
version 3.0, and was Wi Fi capable. Not to mention, also connected to the iTunes Store, web browsing
via Safari, email capabilities, and even included Google Maps (Kerris Apple Reinvents ). However, by
today s standard the first generation iPhone is hardly impressive, but in 2007 the iPhone was
something to get excited about, as it was the only phone at the time to have a touch screen display
compared to the sea of plastic sliding phones such as the Nokia N95, flip phones such as the RAZR,
and Blackberry s (Segan). In many ways the first generation iPhone paved the way for many other
smartphones and its specs became the industries standard for a smartphone. Steve Jobs made the
iPhone into what it is today,

Family Guy Analysis
Imagine living a whole life as an American, accustomed to Caucasian practices, confident on the
stability of your home and career and often bragging patriotically. Then your boss decides to have an
inspection, laying off immigrant employees. Going to your mother to ask for your birth certificate,
you find out you were actually born in Mexico. You get laid off and have to work as a servant for your
wife s rich father. This was the case for Peter Griffen, the father and protagonist in the TV series called
Family Guy. While working for Carter Pewterschmidt, his father in law, he meets another immigrant
employee who helps him around the mansion and gives him some insight on his life. Overall, the
episode was a great example of one s view of the American Dream. Its ideas were also very similar to
claims made by an author regarding the American Dream. Tim Roemer, author of America remains the
world s beacon of success , argues that America is still prosperous and that, based on his trip overseas,
foreigners still view the U.S as a land of opportunity. Both Roemer s article and the specified episode
of Family Guy serve to demonstrate how people outside of the US still admire the country as a whole,
believe America is the goal for studying and that although other countries are facing devastating
challenges, people can still prosper in the U.S.
Initially, Tim Roemer explains foreign views of the United States, which contributes to his first
argument that the U.S is still admired

Earthquakes Subduction Zones Lab Report
Earthquakes and Subduction Zones Lab

Mrs. Igo
9th Grade
Periods 3 and 4 Even
Date: 2/14/13
Background Research:
This lab uses earthquake data to construct profiles of two convergent boundaries: the Tonga Trench
and the Peru Chile Trench. Where two tectonic plates converge, if one or both of the plates is an
oceanic lithosphere, a subduction zone will form. When crust is formed at a mid ocean ridge, it is hot
and buoyant meaning it has a low density. As it spreads away from the ridge and cools and contracts,
or becomes denser, it is able to sink into the hotter underlying mantle. When two oceanic plates
collide, the younger of the two plates, because it is less dense will ride over the edge of the older plate.

Alternative Medicine For Korean Culture
Alternative Medicine in Korean Culture
Introduction
The alternative medicine of Korean culture is called, Korean Oriental medicine (KOM). It refers to the
medicine native to Korea developed over a period of nearly two thousand years after being grafted
with traditional Chinese medicine. It had been called traditional Korean medicine (TKM) since 1986
until recently. Before that, it was simply referred to as traditional Oriental medicine (Republic of
Korea, 2012). Chinese medicine was first introduced to Korea, during the Three Kingdoms period (57
B.C. 668). It was followed by Goryeo Dynasty (918 1392) and the Joseon Dynasty (1392 1910) and
developed its own unique nature as Korean Oriental Medicine. This traditional medicine perceives
human body as a small universe and is based on the concept of yin and yang . According to this
concept, it sees every object in the universe in two opposing forces, such as the sun and moon,
summer and winter, north and south, and male and female. It studies o haeng, or the five phases or
elements comprising the universe: geum (metal and rock), mok (wood), su (water), hwa (fire), and to
(earth). It also studies the process of yuk gi, or the Six Atmospheric Influences, in the realm of natural
science, which are pung (wind), han (cold), yeol (heat), hwa (fire), seup (humidity), and jo (dryness).
Western medicine focuses on the human body s internal organs and is based on anatomy and cytology.
It tends to find the cause of illness

Decomp Research Paper
My Decomp project will explore the topic of human modification in nature and will show how human
modified spaces can also still be a part of nature. It will be an overall view of life of living creatures
on and around ATV trails. It will compare how animal activity is when the ATVs are running and
when the ATVs are sitting still and off. I will ride my ATV through the trails and see what I can see
and hear and see what changes when there is no motorized vehicle running. I will explore how human
made products influence nature and weather the influence is negative or positive. Throughout my
community there are many man made nature trails. I will be going to Alabama for the ATV trails I am
riding on. Although there are many that are paved and are parallel to streets, I will be riding on some
that are in the woods in which we consider nature. While I am riding, I will be exploring nature and
the natural components of it. I will be looking for animals that might be getting ... Show more content

Lloyd Alter states ATVs are destroying habitats, wreaking trails, and scaring animals. I want to
explore this idea but also argue against it. This article inspired me to do this project for me to argue
that nature will adapt to their surrounding as long as I stay on the trail and not go and ruin off trail
habitats. That is also being argued in the article by Joy Coppes and Veronika Braunish called
Managing Visitors in Nature Areas: Where do They Leave the Trails. This article argues that on trail
activities allow habituation, however wildlife species can hardly adjust to off trail disturbances (2).
Both articles argue against one another and I will, through this project, see which one is more arguable
towards my project. I will Ride along the trails and see if my presence disturbs the wildlife or if it just
adds extra components to it and I become part of the

Theme Of Character Development In Song Of Solomon
Song of Solomon s protagonist Milkman plays a crucial role in the novel s major focal point of
character development. The novel can be appropriately labeled a Bildungsroman due to its clear and
continuous creation of Milkman s characteristics. Throughout the text readers can see changes made
within the character, such as his reactions to situations and the language he uses when he is talking
and thinking. Milkman commences the novel as a confused, spoiled young man who feels he deserves
the world. However, at a certain point in the novel, it is clear that he reaches an epiphany, a change in
heart, that matures him. The pivotal point in Milkman s moral and psychological development is when
he is alone hunting in the mountains. In this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This moment of clarity matures the protagonist of the novel. A major aspect of the plot is a hunt for
gold; Milkman travels hundreds of miles to find a bag of gold left behind by his aunt Pilate or father.
However, it can be inferred through the text that Milkman s hunt for gold symbolizes his search for his
family history. He is intrigued by his family s past and wants to understand who he came from. This
quest, however, brings Milkman not only knowledge of his ancestors, but maturity. The gold Milkman
finds is in fact clarity. The monologue in this scene depicts his accumulative awareness of his actions
and who he is as a person. He realizes that ...he thought he deserved only to be loved from a distance,
though and given what he wanted (Morrison 277). This comprehension of his selfish, merciless
manner is truly the gold he was looking for.
This hunting scene is not only significant for Milkman s newly found perception of himself and his
actions, but it gives the protagonist a feeling of humbleness and independence. Throughout the novel,
Milkman has always been extremely dependent; when he is not relying on his social status, Milkman
utilizes his wealth and luxury to support his fragile personality. The Deads are a very affluent and

Self-Realization In The Glass Castle By Jeannette Walls
One of the things that amazed me the most about The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls was that even
though she had basically been brainwashed by her own father, she still came to terms with what she
wanted out of her life and became a success. For her entire childhood, her parents did not even think
she would amount to anything because she had no real skills, and her father did try and push her
towards a life in science. However, in high school, Jeannette realized she had a passion for journalism;
which is how she ended up turning herself into a success. Her story of triumph against all odds, and
finding what someone really wants to do was what really inspired me. The theme of self realization in
The Glass Castle of what a person s beliefs are even in the face of adversity is something I have been
able to relate to in my life. For my entire life I have been raised Catholic, and for a while that is really
all I knew. I was baptised as a baby, I was confirmed in second grade, I went to sunday school, and I ...

not become atheist by the end of my sophomore year was because of a girl I started talking to. Her

same way if I realized I was atheist, then told her that. However, once she found out that I was moving
back to Ohio, we stopped talking. I then went most of my junior without even thinking of what my

I kind of stopped listening to what the priest was saying. For awhile I considered myself agnostic;

In this song many ideas of morality are present, which shows that the actions of the American
government was not always morally right. During this time the U.S. send troops to Vietnam to fight a
war that had no purpose, which emphasizes the protests of the American people.
Intro to Evidence: In this quote it underlines that one of the many mistakes the government was the
Kent State shooting which killed four people.
Evidence: Cause the players tried to take the field. The marching band refused to yield. Do you recall
what was revealed. The day the music died? (American Pie)
Explanation Sentences: The lyrics here were a peaceful protest that ended up with death for wanting
change, which strengthens why the American people were angered by the injustice. The Kent State
shooting like many sad events during the 20th century had meaningful impact on people who
contributed to change, which gathers the idea of corrupt morality. Many songs during this time were
on the worst sides of the American government and the actions that led to death, which represents how
inspiring songs were during this time.
Conclusion: Music of the 20th century had a desire for change that people were intrigued by that
persuaded them to join the change

Critically analyse the key factors involved in translating policy into practice to achieve successful
delivery of health care?
To deliver better care and outcomes, there is a need for evidence based policy to be implemented
successfully (1). Policy change can achieve impacts and sustainability beyond what is possible
through standalone services or projects (2). Designing a policy and then translating it into practice is a
messy business and requiring understanding of the policy context, design processes, the underlying
values and beliefs ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Here policy takes an incremental approach where decision makers take current practice as given, and
make small incremental adjustments in that behaviour, resulting in gradual policy change (5).
In the real world, policy making is more complex. In reaction to rational approaches the garbage can
model of decision was developed to remove any assumption of rationality. This asserts that rational
approaches suggest a greater level of intention, comprehension of problems, and predictability of
relations among actors than found in reality (3). Additional elements work against rational policy
making including the cognitive limitation of decision maker to consider all possible options and
foresee all consequences.
Ingram argued that policy problems are not neutral but subjectively identified through a political
exercise based on values, interpretation and the subjectivity of policy makers (6). Pluralist elitist
models recognise the distribution of power and how this affects decision making, proposing that the
power to influence policy is concentrated in the hands of a few (2). The underlying suggestion of these
theories is that policy is not scientifically or rationally constructed, with the conclusion that
implementation attempts are constrained from the start.
Punctuated equilibrium theory outlines that when conditions are right, change

Tony s Dual Language
Born in a small town in China called Huangshi, Tony was relocated to Maryland when he was 5. It
was small (2.5 million inhabitants) humid town and the unique childhood introduced him to a certain
variety in life.
Although, he was born in China, Tony s parents were actually from the Philippines and moved to
China to work so they spoke Filipino at home. His parents both spoke limited Chinese, but were afraid
that their limited mastery of the language would teach their son the language incorrectly. Instead of
speaking Chinese at home, Tony grew up speaking Filipino and learned Chinese through school. The
dual language upbringing gave him experience learning a new language a skill he found a lot harder to
do in English. He claims, It wasn t that hard at the time; it felt natural. Chinese was in school and

House Of Mirth Theme
The House of Mirth explores the place of women (particularly Lily Bart) in society and the social
effect that marriage had on them. The book showcases the problems that came with being a single
woman during the late 1800s and the need and struggle to conform to society s expectations, and,
therefore, falls under the title of a novel of manners. Women had little chance to play any role other
that a wife or a mother, and could acquire respect and power only through marriage. Edith Wharton
explores the themes of the female body, gender roles and manners in order to achieve this. The theme
of the female body is first introduced at the beginning of the novel when Lawrence Selden sees Miss

Characters are made to seem sinister, having an ulterior motive due to this. For example, Lily fakes
being interested in the Americana, not smoking and going to church for Mr. Gryce, while Mr. Trenor
helps Lily financially in order to sleep with her. The reader is able to identify the difference between a
conversation Lily has with Selden and one she has with other characters, due to the lack of need for
Lily to keep her good reputation with Selden. Bart herself acknowledges that she doesn t have to
pretend with him or be on guard against him. In other occasions, the young woman has to concentrate
primary on gossip and pretense and strive to manipulate others, by calculating her every word. The
irony in this fact is that by acting so, they showcase bad manners; lying, adultery, gossiping, and being
passive aggressive, are all behaviours evident in the upper class. In the reader s eyes, this fact makes
her relationship with Selden the realest one of the whole book, and comes to the logical conclusion,
that he is the best partner for her, him symbolising freedom from materialism, something that she
wants for herself. However, Bart is not able to detach herself from her thirst for money and therefore,
continues her pursue for a wealthy husband, like Mr. Gryce, who is a symbol for freedom from

their eyes when you over hype a project or claim your organization is for the cost of mere pennies,

The Importance Of Drama In Educational Drama
Research on dramatization activity may not always positively reported. In a non classroom setting,
Milburn and McGrail (1992) , conducted an experimental study to find whether a dramatic
presentations of news stories on TV influence the audiences ability and accuracy in receiving news.
They found that the exposure to the dramatized news stories significantly decreased participants
ability to recall the information from the stories and reduced the complexity of the news. The term of
drama or dramatization in this context of study is used in negative sense . That is, dramatization is
used in reference to the ways TV stations exaggerate the presentation of the news for political or
rating benefits. Unlike Milburn and McGrail s study, this study will take the stance of drama or
dramatization activity as an intervention strategy in education that aims to foster students learning.
In 1934, John Dewey called for the urgency of involving creative expression and exploration in U. S
educational curriculum. Gallagher, et.al. (2017) noted that in and after that period of time, literature in
the United States started to emphasize the insertion of dramatic play or play based improvisation as a
key technique to situate students to express themselves creatively and develop language and thinking
skills, as well as for teachers to see the child s real self Gallagher, et.al., ( 2017) .

He thought about his current assignment and how he was going to find this very rare animal in less

would be paid one thousand dollars per day, which is double the amount of the regular salary. This
was obviously a big deal for his employer, National Geographic, and he was very nervous that he was
going to let them down. Bartholomew had never failed an assignment and was not about to fail this

Summary Of The Trouble With Wilderness By William Cronon
In his essay, The Trouble with Wilderness, William Cronon discusses the importance of preserving
wilderness. Nature has been deteriorating since the introduction of the human species, and Cronon
attributes this issue to the destructive nature of humans. The essay begins with his thesis the time has
come to rethink wilderness (Cronon 1). He challenges the reader to find the difference between
wilderness and wildness. Cronon s biggest fear is violating the holiness of nature.
Humanity s culture is based off the desire to have a unity with wilderness. Cronon states to the extent
that we live in an urban industrial civilization but at the same time pretend to ourselves that our real

Overview Of Cras And Its Effect On Investment Portfolios
Introduction
CRAs are like a marking system that is designed to keep the interested/related parties informed with
relevant information. It helps investors to decide how risky it is to invest in certain security or country.
It gives indication to buyer of securitised debt how likely they are to be paid back. Although investors
collect their own set of information about borrowers and impose requirements, they also rely on these
ratings to determine the appropriate securities for their investment portfolios because it is believed that
CRAs crucial role is to provide gatekeepers to public security markets and act as a neutral third parties

Then in 1975, SEC officially recognised S P s, Moody s and Fitch Group as NSROs. Now these three

Credit rating methodology, process and techniques used by CRAs
Some CRAs uses analyst driven methodology, some uses model driven methodology and some uses

based upon quantitative data. Financial instruments are rated based upon information provided to
CRAs by the issuer. Firms create pool of assets and sells to investors who purchase those pools of
assets by using debt securities. Then they hire CRAs to rate those securities. CRAs assign ratings to
the specific financial instruments such as corporate bonds, MBS and CDOs rather than issuer of these
instruments. We can find a similarity on ratings assigned by these big three agencies. The commonly
used scales are letter grade such as AAA, AA, A, BBB and so on with pluses and minuses as well. The
triple A being highest ratings, followed by AA, then A and so on. The triple A ratings represent safest

have higher risk of default . It was assumed that securities with AAA

Assess The Difference Between Democracy And Non-Democratic...
Democratic and non democratic are the two main types of regimes. They differ on the ways they
govern over the people. Democratic and non democratic regimes can be compared and contrasted by
the institutional structure, rule of law, methods of political control, and political socialization. One
way democratic and non democratic regimes can be compared is by their institutional structure. Both
democratic and non democratic regimes have separate branches of government in place; however, in
practice they differ. There is often an executive, legislative, and judicial branch set up to run the
government, in both. In advanced democracies there seem to be more checks and balances in place
between the branches, to prevent one branch from having all ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

In democratic regimes political socialization is often through family, schools, and the media.
Especially in advanced democracies the level of civil society is pretty high. Civil society helps people
to develop their own unique opinions. If there are activities that are not run by the state, there will
probably be more opposition against the state, compared to a state without a strong civil society. In
non democratic regimes when there are high levels of control the way people acquire their political
beliefs are controlled by the government. The media is also a form of political socialization in non
democratic regimes, but it may have a different affect. For example, in Russia, the media to mostly
state owned. The government chooses what is put on TV or printed in the news. This makes it more
difficult for opposing views to form against the government, if all they hear is information form the
government. The political parties in Russia are not based on ideology but are rather personalized to the
elite members of the government to support their aspirations. Political parties can be a way the
separates political attitudes. If there is a lack of parties, people will mostly support the one major
party. There are patterns due to environment both in democratic and non democratic regimes. For
example being rich or poor, or being form an urban or rural area has an influence over political

The Theme Of Loneliness In Winesburg Ohio
After his wife s death sat all day in his empty office close by a window that was covered with
cobwebs. He never opened the window. Once on a hot day in August he tried but found it stuck fast
and after that he forgot all about it, (Anderson 35).
Dr. Reefy was happy when he married his wife, but after his wife died he was a lonely. He was unable
to communicate with others. He was trapped, and isolated from the world. He is imprisoned in his
room. This shows the theme of loneliness. The story began describing Dr. Reefy, with adjectives such
as old man with huge nose and hands. That already shows that this man is going to be the outcast of

paper in his pocket and after a few weeks he then throws them away. One of the first things shown
about him are his hands which looked like clusters of unpainted wooden balls as large as walnuts
fastened together by steel rods, (Anderson 9). The image of wooden balls connect to the paper balls
that he stuffs in his pockets. The paper balls represents the thoughts that he thinks. The paper balls

These truths are put in paper. Then he gets rid of it in order so no one can read them or judge him

My Life As A Better Life
A lot of people would always look back at their childhood and say, Wow! Those were good times. To
me, it wasn t. I was easy to get picked on as I was chubby and I am unable to speak Bahasa Indonesia
fluently. In my elementary school, I began to get a lot of hatred from my classmates as they would
speak behind my back. I began to hate humanity and began to develop depression over the years. As I
was always being picked on, I was unable to create any friends until I moved to Malaysia. When I
moved to Malaysia, I had a mindset of: There is no point of making any friends. This all changed once
I met Chan Young Jeon, or as known as CY. Despite my traumatizing childhood, CY helped me
experience a better life with his compassion, diligence, and creativity. Having the ability to analyze
other people just by looking at them is something unique, most of us cant do it but CY can. CY has
this ability and it has become second nature for him. When I moved to Malaysia, he could tell that I

this, he took me around the school and I asked him questions such as How is the community here? Are

The Preacher And The Thinkers Summary
The Preacher and The Thinkers
Having the drive, the discipline, the work ethic, and the mindset to accomplish what needs to get done.
Even when the world feels like it s pounding on you, to never give up is to be successful. This is what
needs to get done in order for one to feel and know that they have succeeded. It begins with the feeling
of self satisfaction in knowing that you could do something.
Success is peace of mind which is a direct result of self satisfaction in knowing you did your best to
become the best you are capable of becoming, the first picture spoke about what John Wooden said.
Others get torn down by the idea that they weren t good enough to reach what they strived for, because

The day he was there they were learning how to draw a three dimensional cube, there was one kid

time again the class said it was wrong until he finally got it right. Mr. Stigler found it interesting that
he was the one placed on the board because over here in American class rooms they often sent the
student who did it the best to the board. This small experience that first got him thinking about how
differently East and West approach the experience of intellectual struggle. This shed new light
showing that struggle isn t always a bad thing, it doesn t always mean you re not smart enough to do

Altering Reality
Not all fictional literary works are based on fictional events. In fact, many great works of literature are
based on true life events, people, and places. One author who practices this method of writing is
William Shakespeare. In Shakespeare s The Tragedy of Macbeth, many similarities and contrasts of
historical accounts are used to fuel the drama s storyline. This is very apparent amongst the play s
characters, events, and settings. Shakespeare begins his historical references with the use of well
known historical characters. Two of the play s main characters are two rivaling Scottish kings, Duncan
I and Macbeth. Shakespeare does an excellent job in using contrasts of the actual kings, in The
Tragedy of Macbeth. Shakespeare s Duncan is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The last example of Shakespeare s historical references is Shakespeare s settings. While most of
Shakespeare s references are contrasts, Shakespeare does stay true to many of the historical stages set
before him. Like the historical background of the Scottish rivalry between Macbeth and Duncan, the
drama takes place throughout the Scottish country side (Shakespeare). In fact, many of Shakespeare s
main settings are based on real Scottish landmarks. One of these landmarks is the ancient fort of
Dunsinane, which is Shakespeare s setting for the castle of the king of Scotland. Although, this is not
the home place of the actual Scottish king, it is in close proximity to Birnham Wood ( Dunsinane ), the
same Birnham Wood referred to by the witches of The Tragedy of Macbeth. Macbeth shall never
vanquished be until Great Birnham Wood to high Dunsinane Hill Shall come against him
(Shakespeare 355; Act IV Scene I ll 92 94). According to some scholars, the reason for the
significance of Birnham Wood in Shakespeare s tragedy is related to the historical, victorious battle of
Macbeth near Dunkeld, a modern region of Perth and Kinross, which happens to be in close proximity
to Birnham Wood as well ( Macbeth ). Birnham Wood is also the setting for one of Macbeth s defeats
by Siward, earl of Northunbria, in 1054 ( Dunsinane ). While these settings are closely related, one of
Shakespeare s settings contrasts quite a bit. Cawdor, a castle in

Surrogacy And The Adoption Of The Surrogate
Q1) As a doctor how would you deconstruct the concept of surrogacy for our readers who may want to
go in for the option? Please elucidate with two different types of surrogacy etc
A1) Surrogacy is a process in which a woman carries and delivers a baby for someone else because of
some problems involving the intended parents. The women who delivers is the gestational surrogate or
carrier. The parents are called as intended parents . They are fully involved in the pregnancy, present at
birth and become the child s parents after its birth. There are two types of surrogacy
1. Gestational surrogacy The baby here is not genetically related to the surrogate. Eggs come from
intended mother and sperm from intended father. Sometimes donor eggs, ... Show more content on

When would you suggest a couple to opt for surrogacy?
A2.) Surrogacy is an arrangement when a woman agrees to carry a pregnancy for another couple who
will become the newborn s parents after birth of the baby.
The couple is asked to opt for surrogacy if the patient does not have a uterus, she has problems in
uterus, she is unable to carry pregnancy safely, pregnancy is medically impossible, serious medical
condition that could be exacerbated by pregnancy or cause significant risk to fetus, biological inability
to conceive( homosexual couple). It is also an option if the couple has had multiple failures in IVF.
If the surrogate receives monetary compensation, it is called commercial surrogacy. If no payment is
done except for medical reimbursement and basic pregnancy expenses, it is called as altruistic
surrogacy.
Q3) What kind of medical, emotional and legal/paperwork preparations that a couple requires to
undergo before opting for surrogacy?
A3) Decision to use surrogacy is very complicated and psychosocial education and counselling by a
qualified mental health professional should be given to all intended parents. Genetic parents should
undergo genetic evaluation, complete medical and physical evaluation. Before acceptance and within
six months of creating the embryos to be transferred, genetic parents undergo the following tests and if
found positive, the genetic

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Living In The Telluride House
No living situation is perfect. Live alone, and you get more freedom and control over your living
space, but often at a higher cost and without the social aspect of living with other people, while living
with roommates comes with more human connection and the need for constant compromise. Like any
other living situation, life in a small self governing community like Telluride House has its own
unique complement of advantages of disadvantages. As a current member of the relatively small
Women in Science and Engineering residential community at the University of Michigan, I can say
from experience that one of the most valuable benefits of this living style is the automatic
companionship that it affords. Simply living in this certain space affords every individual an automatic
membership in a group, and this shared membership fosters a sense of community. It s a basis for
relationships even if one member has relatively little in common with another, the fact that both
people live in the same community creates an opportunity to connect that would likely not exist in the
absence of that shared membership.
Another substantial benefit of living in a small, self governing community is the fact that each person
has a level of impact that would not be possible in a larger community. In a dorm of three hundred
people, allowing that community to self govern would be chaos, with the conflicts between three
hundred different opinions rendering any final decision virtually impossible.

Synthesis of Isopentyl Acetate Via Fischer Esterification...
Experiment 1: Synthesis of Isopentyl Acetate via Fischer Esterification Introduction: Isopentyl acetate,
banana oil, is a naturally occurring compound that has a very distinct and recognizable odor. It is most
commonly found in bananas but also can be found in other organisms. The purpose of this lab was to
synthesize the ester isopentyl acetate via an acid catalyzed esterification (Fischer Esterification) of
acetic acid with isopentyl alcohol. Emil Fischer and Arthur Speier were the pioneers of this reaction
referred to as Fischer Esterification. The reaction is characterized by the combining of an alcohol and
an acid (with an acid catalyst) to yield and ester plus water. In order to accomplish the reaction, the

Once cooled, the mixture was then transferred to a separatory funnel using the funnel while avoiding
adding the boiling chip. 10 ml of water was then added to the mixture. The mixture was gently shaken
and the phases were allowed to separate. The funnel was then unstopped and the lower aqueous phase
was drained into a beaker. 5 ml of 5% aqueous NaHCO3 was added and then shaken gently. A great
deal of caution was taken into consideration because of the production of carbon dioxide gas which
caused pressure to develop inside the funnel. The pressure needed to be released so the funnel was
vented frequently. The phases were allowed to separate and the lower aqueous phases was drained into
the beaker. After draining, 5 ml of saturated NaCl was added to the funnel and then shaken gently.
Once again, the phases were allowed to separate and the lower aqueous phase was drained into a
beaker. An ester product was produced and was transferred into a 25 ml Erlenmeyer flask. This
organic product was then dried over anhydrous Na2SO4 to trap small amounts of water in its crystal
lattices thus removing it from the product. Finally the ester was decanted, so that the drying agent was
excluded from the final product. Results and Discussion: Fischer esterification is the primary way of
synthesizing this ester. The reactants involved in

Autotomy Essay
Abstract Autotomy occurs in many animals, but most research focuses on lizards as the trait occurs in
the majority of all lizard families (Downes Shine, 2001). The most common form of autotomy in this
order is caudal autotomy, relating to the tail. What has possibly made this adaptation so advantageous
is the ability of many lizard species to regenerate their tail after autotomy. Being able to grow a
secondary tail that can perform the same antipredator function is highly beneficial, and other tail
functions such as post autotomous thrashing and bright coloration enhance autotomous behavior
greatly. The loss of a limb may appear catastrophic for some organisms, but there are many species
that will do it voluntarily when faced with a threat. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In some species, post autotomous tails retain the ability to flex, diverting the attention of the predator
away from the escaping lizard to the rapidly undulating tail. Acrobatic flips are occasionally
performed by the severed tails of some species, and many others enjoy great dexterity even when not
attached to their parent body (Hingham Russell, 2009). The movement of the autotomized tail is
independent of brain activity and is instead governed by a network of neurons inside the spine. While
predictable central pattern generators are not uncommon in nature, lizard species like the Tokay gecko
(gekko gecko) have incorporated erratic and complicated movements into their autotomized tail
displays (Hingham Russell, 2009). This unpredictable behavior is meant to appear novel and thus
noticeable to the predator, preventing it from pursuing the rest of the gecko body. The mechanism of
tail loss involves the coordination of many tissues in the tail to prevent serious damage or danger to
the lizard. Vertebrae are specialized in intravertebral autotomous lizards, containing a fracture through
the side of vertebra near the disconnection site (Gilbert et al 2013). Most autotomous lizards contain
fractured vertebrae, but a few others autotomize intervertebrally, separating between

study assumes that the dispersion of oaks is random. The comparison of observed and expected oak

Due to being less mobile, the characteristic of the plant may determine the type of seed that can occur.
Consequently, certain dispersion configurations may be more beneficial for certain plants. For
example, if young oak seedlings demonstrate clumped dispersion then this may suggest that they have
a limited seed dispersal range, or that there is an uneven distribution of nutrients or other resources in
the environment, or possible social interaction such as nutrients sharing. However, clumped
distributions are at the mercy of chance, for example, fire or disease could easily decimate all the oaks

Diffusion Lab
Introduction:
In nature, molecules are always in motion. When molecules move from high concentration to a low
concentration across the membrane, this is called diffusion. In other words, when particles go down
the concentration gradient, also called passive transport. A special type of diffusion is also called
osmosis, which is the diffusion of water, meaning water particles (H2O) move from high
concentration of water particles to a low concentration through a selectively permeable membrane.
Higher water concentration can also be phrased as higher water potential.
Diffusion is a spontaneous reaction that occurs to maintain equilibrium. Equilibrium is an equal
concentration of particles across the membrane. Dynamic Equilibrium is the equal exchange of
particles across the membrane. The purpose of this lab is to observe the physical effects of osmosis
and diffusion and to determine if it actually takes place. We hypothesized that, because molecules
diffuse down a concentration gradient, the mass of the dialysis tubes will increase, and we believe that
as the molarity increases, the percent of change in mass will also increase. Our final hypothesis was
that diffusion and osmosis will occur until ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Extreme Right in Britain Essay examples
The Extreme Right in Britain
Introduction
Perhaps, one of the highly debated issues in the electoral procedures of different European nations is
about the extreme right. Based on the premise that the nation is the primary unit of social and political
organization, extremist nationalism has been revived since the demise of communism. Unlike civic
nationalism, which stresses equality and solidarity, the exaggerated, chauvinistic, and aggressive
nationalism of the extreme right upholds the significance of the nation and national identity against
any other value. Each person is defined by membership in ancient ethnic and cultural groups that are
hierarchically arranged according to the natural order. In the extreme rights view, ... Show more

Since then, several political parties have failed to generate much support, like the Dutch
Centrumdemocraten (CD). But overall, the newly emerging variants of the extreme right did not suffer
the much anticipated periodical decline (Epstein 21). They endured and even doubled their electoral
turnout over the last two decades. Therefore it has become difficult to dismiss them as temporary and
secluded (Hainsworth 10).
Several developments highlight and substantiate the thesis that the extreme right has re established
itself as a significant political actor in several Estern European democracies including Great Britain
(Rensmann 93). Extreme and radical populist right parties are far from being a short lived, transitory,
and temporary protest phenomenon that is temporarily endorsed by alienated voters lacking
identifiable beliefs; they have largely consolidated their positions in the electoral landscape and
beyond. Although in many cases, extreme right actors remain somewhat at the fringe of the political
system, they have often succeeded in stabilizing or broadening their constituencies, turning new voters
into loyal voters, creating militant extremist milieus and generating nationalist, anti immigrant
movements across Europe. In Great Britain, there

Hearing the people that they look up to preach this way of life, opened more doors for crime in these
teen s lives. Many teens get heavily involved in the music that they listen to. A large amount of
evidence of this can be found by looking at the hard core crowds that follow different types of music.
The Punk Rock culture is a good example. Many kids that are intoduced to punk rock music
incorperate the music into their way of life. They dress in tight jeans with holes, have odd and
sometimes even ridiculous hair styles, piercings, tattoes, and their way of life is to not care about
anything. Hard core punk music is usually hate based. Hate for the government, society, drugs, and
other issues.. The teens that get heavily involved in punk music will fight against governmental issues
and things that they dislike about their surroundings.
The hippie culture, driven by 60 s music that preached peace, excercised what they heard in the music
that they cherished. They promoted peace and protested against things such as war and hate. I point
out that all of the people that are part of these cultures surrounding music, for the most part, use the
music they listen to and incorperate it into their belief systems and their ways of everyday life. As I
have said earlier, Gangsta Rap lyrics revolve around guns, violence, crime, and drugs. Juveniles that

Greek Mythology And Religion In Ancient Greek Culture
Religion was the central foundation in all that was Greek society and culture, as illustrated by the
temples and statues they built to honor them (Matthews, Noble, Platt, 2014). The Greek culture was a
polytheistic, cult like religion and those that recognized twelve Olympian deities and the chthonian.
Their religion was a communal, the polis and religion could not be separated, for in the eyes of the
Greeks the fate of each community depended on the civic deity (Matthews, et al, 2014, p. 42). Greek
mythology and religion, while not the same are closely related with one another, as the myths
disclosed much information about the gods and goddesses of the Greek religion (Matthews, et al,

  • 2. Steve Jobs At Wozniak And Ronald Wayne Steve Jobs found Apple over 40 years ago; Jobs, along with his two friends Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne. The three conceived the company, Apple Computer Inc, on April 1, 1976, in Job s parent s garage and from then on they would create a technological cultural phenomenon. Fast forward to January 9, 2007, and the first generation iPhone was released which revolutionized the smartphone as we know it today as it was the first smartphone to feature an adaptive touch screen display. The first generation iPhone had a 3.5 inch screen, was encased in metal and featured the trademark home button found on the bottom of the display. The first generation iPhone also featured an impressive 2 megapixel camera, had a 320x480 pixel display, 128 MB of RAM, 4 GB of internal storage, iOS version 3.0, and was Wi Fi capable. Not to mention, also connected to the iTunes Store, web browsing via Safari, email capabilities, and even included Google Maps (Kerris Apple Reinvents ). However, by today s standard the first generation iPhone is hardly impressive, but in 2007 the iPhone was something to get excited about, as it was the only phone at the time to have a touch screen display compared to the sea of plastic sliding phones such as the Nokia N95, flip phones such as the RAZR, and Blackberry s (Segan). In many ways the first generation iPhone paved the way for many other smartphones and its specs became the industries standard for a smartphone. Steve Jobs made the iPhone into what it is today, ... • 3. Family Guy Analysis Imagine living a whole life as an American, accustomed to Caucasian practices, confident on the stability of your home and career and often bragging patriotically. Then your boss decides to have an inspection, laying off immigrant employees. Going to your mother to ask for your birth certificate, you find out you were actually born in Mexico. You get laid off and have to work as a servant for your wife s rich father. This was the case for Peter Griffen, the father and protagonist in the TV series called Family Guy. While working for Carter Pewterschmidt, his father in law, he meets another immigrant employee who helps him around the mansion and gives him some insight on his life. Overall, the episode was a great example of one s view of the American Dream. Its ideas were also very similar to claims made by an author regarding the American Dream. Tim Roemer, author of America remains the world s beacon of success , argues that America is still prosperous and that, based on his trip overseas, foreigners still view the U.S as a land of opportunity. Both Roemer s article and the specified episode of Family Guy serve to demonstrate how people outside of the US still admire the country as a whole, believe America is the goal for studying and that although other countries are facing devastating challenges, people can still prosper in the U.S. Initially, Tim Roemer explains foreign views of the United States, which contributes to his first argument that the U.S is still admired ... • 4. Earthquakes Subduction Zones Lab Report Earthquakes and Subduction Zones Lab Amy Paret Mrs. Igo 9th Grade Periods 3 and 4 Even Date: 2/14/13 Background Research: This lab uses earthquake data to construct profiles of two convergent boundaries: the Tonga Trench and the Peru Chile Trench. Where two tectonic plates converge, if one or both of the plates is an oceanic lithosphere, a subduction zone will form. When crust is formed at a mid ocean ridge, it is hot and buoyant meaning it has a low density. As it spreads away from the ridge and cools and contracts, or becomes denser, it is able to sink into the hotter underlying mantle. When two oceanic plates collide, the younger of the two plates, because it is less dense will ride over the edge of the older plate. The density of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 5. Alternative Medicine For Korean Culture Alternative Medicine in Korean Culture Introduction The alternative medicine of Korean culture is called, Korean Oriental medicine (KOM). It refers to the medicine native to Korea developed over a period of nearly two thousand years after being grafted with traditional Chinese medicine. It had been called traditional Korean medicine (TKM) since 1986 until recently. Before that, it was simply referred to as traditional Oriental medicine (Republic of Korea, 2012). Chinese medicine was first introduced to Korea, during the Three Kingdoms period (57 B.C. 668). It was followed by Goryeo Dynasty (918 1392) and the Joseon Dynasty (1392 1910) and developed its own unique nature as Korean Oriental Medicine. This traditional medicine perceives human body as a small universe and is based on the concept of yin and yang . According to this concept, it sees every object in the universe in two opposing forces, such as the sun and moon, summer and winter, north and south, and male and female. It studies o haeng, or the five phases or elements comprising the universe: geum (metal and rock), mok (wood), su (water), hwa (fire), and to (earth). It also studies the process of yuk gi, or the Six Atmospheric Influences, in the realm of natural science, which are pung (wind), han (cold), yeol (heat), hwa (fire), seup (humidity), and jo (dryness). Western medicine focuses on the human body s internal organs and is based on anatomy and cytology. It tends to find the cause of illness ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Decomp Research Paper My Decomp project will explore the topic of human modification in nature and will show how human modified spaces can also still be a part of nature. It will be an overall view of life of living creatures on and around ATV trails. It will compare how animal activity is when the ATVs are running and when the ATVs are sitting still and off. I will ride my ATV through the trails and see what I can see and hear and see what changes when there is no motorized vehicle running. I will explore how human made products influence nature and weather the influence is negative or positive. Throughout my community there are many man made nature trails. I will be going to Alabama for the ATV trails I am riding on. Although there are many that are paved and are parallel to streets, I will be riding on some that are in the woods in which we consider nature. While I am riding, I will be exploring nature and the natural components of it. I will be looking for animals that might be getting ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Lloyd Alter states ATVs are destroying habitats, wreaking trails, and scaring animals. I want to explore this idea but also argue against it. This article inspired me to do this project for me to argue that nature will adapt to their surrounding as long as I stay on the trail and not go and ruin off trail habitats. That is also being argued in the article by Joy Coppes and Veronika Braunish called Managing Visitors in Nature Areas: Where do They Leave the Trails. This article argues that on trail activities allow habituation, however wildlife species can hardly adjust to off trail disturbances (2). Both articles argue against one another and I will, through this project, see which one is more arguable towards my project. I will Ride along the trails and see if my presence disturbs the wildlife or if it just adds extra components to it and I become part of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Theme Of Character Development In Song Of Solomon Song of Solomon s protagonist Milkman plays a crucial role in the novel s major focal point of character development. The novel can be appropriately labeled a Bildungsroman due to its clear and continuous creation of Milkman s characteristics. Throughout the text readers can see changes made within the character, such as his reactions to situations and the language he uses when he is talking and thinking. Milkman commences the novel as a confused, spoiled young man who feels he deserves the world. However, at a certain point in the novel, it is clear that he reaches an epiphany, a change in heart, that matures him. The pivotal point in Milkman s moral and psychological development is when he is alone hunting in the mountains. In this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This moment of clarity matures the protagonist of the novel. A major aspect of the plot is a hunt for gold; Milkman travels hundreds of miles to find a bag of gold left behind by his aunt Pilate or father. However, it can be inferred through the text that Milkman s hunt for gold symbolizes his search for his family history. He is intrigued by his family s past and wants to understand who he came from. This quest, however, brings Milkman not only knowledge of his ancestors, but maturity. The gold Milkman finds is in fact clarity. The monologue in this scene depicts his accumulative awareness of his actions and who he is as a person. He realizes that ...he thought he deserved only to be loved from a distance, though and given what he wanted (Morrison 277). This comprehension of his selfish, merciless manner is truly the gold he was looking for. This hunting scene is not only significant for Milkman s newly found perception of himself and his actions, but it gives the protagonist a feeling of humbleness and independence. Throughout the novel, Milkman has always been extremely dependent; when he is not relying on his social status, Milkman utilizes his wealth and luxury to support his fragile personality. • 8. Self-Realization In The Glass Castle By Jeannette Walls One of the things that amazed me the most about The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls was that even though she had basically been brainwashed by her own father, she still came to terms with what she wanted out of her life and became a success. For her entire childhood, her parents did not even think she would amount to anything because she had no real skills, and her father did try and push her towards a life in science. However, in high school, Jeannette realized she had a passion for journalism; which is how she ended up turning herself into a success. Her story of triumph against all odds, and finding what someone really wants to do was what really inspired me. The theme of self realization in The Glass Castle of what a person s beliefs are even in the face of adversity is something I have been able to relate to in my life. Here policy takes an incremental approach where decision makers take current practice as given, and make small incremental adjustments in that behaviour, resulting in gradual policy change (5). In the real world, policy making is more complex. In reaction to rational approaches the garbage can model of decision was developed to remove any assumption of rationality. This asserts that rational approaches suggest a greater level of intention, comprehension of problems, and predictability of relations among actors than found in reality (3). Additional elements work against rational policy making including the cognitive limitation of decision maker to consider all possible options and foresee all consequences. Ingram argued that policy problems are not neutral but subjectively identified through a political exercise based on values, interpretation and the subjectivity of policy makers (6). Pluralist elitist models recognise the distribution of power and how this affects decision making, proposing that the power to influence policy is concentrated in the hands of a few (2). The underlying suggestion of these theories is that policy is not scientifically or rationally constructed, with the conclusion that implementation attempts are constrained from the start. Like any other living situation, life in a small self governing community like Telluride House has its own unique complement of advantages of disadvantages. As a current member of the relatively small Women in Science and Engineering residential community at the University of Michigan, I can say from experience that one of the most valuable benefits of this living style is the automatic companionship that it affords. Simply living in this certain space affords every individual an automatic membership in a group, and this shared membership fosters a sense of community. It s a basis for relationships even if one member has relatively little in common with another, the fact that both people live in the same community creates an opportunity to connect that would likely not exist in the absence of that shared membership. Another substantial benefit of living in a small, self governing community is the fact that each person has a level of impact that would not be possible in a larger community. Ginny tolerates Larry s insolent behaviour and ever since their mother s death, both Ginny and Rose make him breakfast every morning and obeyed the demands made by their father. Rose sarcastically tells Ginny, You re such a good daughter, so slow to judge, it s like stupidity (Smiley, 162). Rose s statement proves the type of person Ginny is selfless and nurturing. • 30. Autotomy Essay Abstract Autotomy occurs in many animals, but most research focuses on lizards as the trait occurs in the majority of all lizard families (Downes Shine, 2001). The most common form of autotomy in this order is caudal autotomy, relating to the tail. What has possibly made this adaptation so advantageous is the ability of many lizard species to regenerate their tail after autotomy. Being able to grow a secondary tail that can perform the same antipredator function is highly beneficial, and other tail functions such as post autotomous thrashing and bright coloration enhance autotomous behavior greatly. The loss of a limb may appear catastrophic for some organisms, but there are many species that will do it voluntarily when faced with a threat. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In some species, post autotomous tails retain the ability to flex, diverting the attention of the predator away from the escaping lizard to the rapidly undulating tail. Acrobatic flips are occasionally performed by the severed tails of some species, and many others enjoy great dexterity even when not attached to their parent body (Hingham Russell, 2009). The movement of the autotomized tail is independent of brain activity and is instead governed by a network of neurons inside the spine. While predictable central pattern generators are not uncommon in nature, lizard species like the Tokay gecko (gekko gecko) have incorporated erratic and complicated movements into their autotomized tail displays (Hingham Russell, 2009). This unpredictable behavior is meant to appear novel and thus noticeable to the predator, preventing it from pursuing the rest of the gecko body. The mechanism of tail loss involves the coordination of many tissues in the tail to prevent serious damage or danger to the lizard. Vertebrae are specialized in intravertebral autotomous lizards, containing a fracture through the side of vertebra near the disconnection site (Gilbert et al 2013). Most autotomous lizards contain fractured vertebrae, but a few others autotomize intervertebrally, separating between ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 31. Test Of Dispersion Of Oak Trees 1. (3) Write the statistical hypotheses for the test of dispersion for oak. The null hypothesis for this study assumes that the dispersion of oaks is random. The comparison of observed and expected oak trees through a Poisson analysis will determine the actual dispersion of oaks. Therefore, the statistical hypothesis is, if the observed oak tree dispersion is equal to the expected distribution of oaks it will be determined through the Poisson function. 2. (4) What is a Poisson distribution and why/how is it important in this study? The Poisson distribution is a discrete probability distribution that expresses the probability of a given number of events occurring in a fixed interval of time and/or space if these events occur with a known ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Due to being less mobile, the characteristic of the plant may determine the type of seed that can occur. Consequently, certain dispersion configurations may be more beneficial for certain plants. For example, if young oak seedlings demonstrate clumped dispersion then this may suggest that they have a limited seed dispersal range, or that there is an uneven distribution of nutrients or other resources in the environment, or possible social interaction such as nutrients sharing. However, clumped distributions are at the mercy of chance, for example, fire or disease could easily decimate all the oaks in a given area if they are isolated. 1. • 32. Diffusion Lab Introduction: In nature, molecules are always in motion. When molecules move from high concentration to a low concentration across the membrane, this is called diffusion. In other words, when particles go down the concentration gradient, also called passive transport. A special type of diffusion is also called osmosis, which is the diffusion of water, meaning water particles (H2O) move from high concentration of water particles to a low concentration through a selectively permeable membrane. Higher water concentration can also be phrased as higher water potential. Diffusion is a spontaneous reaction that occurs to maintain equilibrium. Equilibrium is an equal concentration of particles across the membrane. Dynamic Equilibrium is the equal exchange of particles across the membrane. The purpose of this lab is to observe the physical effects of osmosis and diffusion and to determine if it actually takes place. We hypothesized that, because molecules diffuse down a concentration gradient, the mass of the dialysis tubes will increase, and we believe that as the molarity increases, the percent of change in mass will also increase. Our final hypothesis was that diffusion and osmosis will occur until ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Additionally, this lab proved that water can move across the selectively permeable membrane of the dialysis tubing faster than sucrose does. It was also found out that sucrose must be large molecules to pass through the dialysis tubing membrane quickly as water can. As you probably know, the government has given us the choice to voluntarily move to the reservation or go to war over our land. If we choose to fight, we will most likely be slaughtered. Even if we somehow manage to survive, trading with white settlers will come to a halt, and they will most likely attack us again. On the other hand, if we choose to move to the reservation, we will face our old age rivals, the Klamaths, who with no doubt, will attempt to attack us. Some of our men s lives will most likely be taken with these attacks. With our movement would also be a loss of land. The Extreme Right in Britain Essay examples The Extreme Right in Britain Introduction Perhaps, one of the highly debated issues in the electoral procedures of different European nations is about the extreme right. Based on the premise that the nation is the primary unit of social and political organization, extremist nationalism has been revived since the demise of communism. Unlike civic nationalism, which stresses equality and solidarity, the exaggerated, chauvinistic, and aggressive nationalism of the extreme right upholds the significance of the nation and national identity against any other value. Each person is defined by membership in ancient ethnic and cultural groups that are hierarchically arranged according to the natural order. In the extreme rights view, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Since then, several political parties have failed to generate much support, like the Dutch Centrumdemocraten (CD). But overall, the newly emerging variants of the extreme right did not suffer the much anticipated periodical decline (Epstein 21). They endured and even doubled their electoral turnout over the last two decades. Therefore it has become difficult to dismiss them as temporary and secluded (Hainsworth 10). Several developments highlight and substantiate the thesis that the extreme right has re established itself as a significant political actor in several Estern European democracies including Great Britain (Rensmann 93). Extreme and radical populist right parties are far from being a short lived, transitory, and temporary protest phenomenon that is temporarily endorsed by alienated voters lacking identifiable beliefs; they have largely consolidated their positions in the electoral landscape and beyond. Although in many cases, extreme right actors remain somewhat at the fringe of the political system, they have often succeeded in stabilizing or broadening their constituencies, turning new voters into loyal voters, creating militant extremist milieus and generating nationalist, anti immigrant movements across Europe. From 1996 to the present there has been a slight decline from the statistics in 1995(OJJDP). What was the cause for this uprise in juvenile delinquincy? I will discuss 2 different theories to why there was such an increase in juvenile crime rates. I will analyze the rise of the Gangsta Rap culture in the early 1990 s and how it may have affected teenagers that are in lower income families. Hearing the people that they look up to preach this way of life, opened more doors for crime in these teen s lives. Many teens get heavily involved in the music that they listen to. A large amount of evidence of this can be found by looking at the hard core crowds that follow different types of music. The Punk Rock culture is a good example. Many kids that are intoduced to punk rock music incorperate the music into their way of life. They dress in tight jeans with holes, have odd and sometimes even ridiculous hair styles, piercings, tattoes, and their way of life is to not care about anything. Hard core punk music is usually hate based. Hate for the government, society, drugs, and other issues.. The teens that get heavily involved in punk music will fight against governmental issues and things that they dislike about their surroundings. The hippie culture, driven by 60 s music that preached peace, excercised what they heard in the music that they cherished. They promoted peace and protested against things such as war and hate. I point out that all of the people that are part of these cultures surrounding music, for the most part, use the music they listen to and incorperate it into their belief systems and their ways of everyday life. As I have said earlier, Gangsta Rap lyrics revolve around guns, violence, crime, and drugs. Juveniles that are influenced ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Their religion was a communal, the polis and religion could not be separated, for in the eyes of the Greeks the fate of each community depended on the civic deity (Matthews, et al, 2014, p. 42).
