Stars Life Cycle
Stars are born of gas and dust and have a life cycle based on their original mass. Stars are not alive, but they go
through stages. There are many sources that prove that this fact is true! These sources include the life cycle of stars,
star classification, and types of galaxies. These different life cycles are for the high mass stars and the low mass
stars.
There are 3 types of galaxies. These galaxies are Irregular, Spiral, and Elliptical. Irregular galaxies have no defined
shape and have mostly new stars. Spiral galaxies have a spiral shape and have mostly medium aged stars. Lastly,
Elliptical galaxies are shaped like a sphere and hold mostly old aged stars.
The stars are born from gas and dust. Even the sun formed this way. Stars are also classified by color, temp.,
luminosity, and distance from the earth. Stars form inside a cloud of dust called a Nebula. Gravity pulls gas and
dust closer together in some place of the Nebula. When the matter contracts, it forms a hot sphere. Did you know
the color of the star is the effect of the temperature of the star. The sphere then becomes a star if the center grows
hot and dense enough for fusion to happen. As you can see stars, like the sun, are born out of gas and dust that gets
contracted. The different stages a star goes through depends on the mass of the star. Lower mass stars develop ...

High mass stars don t last as long in the main sequence stage because they use their energy fastly. After millions of
years, a high mass star expands into a supergiant star. In the core of this star, fusion produces heavier and heavier
elements. Then when a iron ore forms, fusion stops and the core collapses. Then parts of the core bounces outward,
and the star explodes into a supernova. This explosion can form a extremely dense body called a neutron star.
Sometimes a supernova leaves behind a core where it collapses forming into a invisible object called a black

Extremely low and high temperatures can slow down the development of societies and civilizations greatly. If you
are living in a place with temperatures similar to the ones of The Arctic, you will obviously have a lot of harvesting
problems because of the cold and all the snow covering the ground. Also, problems with getting around and
working hard because it is too cold to leave your home and go out are very probable. Going out to work in
conditions like these, can leave people dead or very sick with things like hypothermia. On the other hand, extreme
heats, like in places close to the equator, also slow development for very similar reasons. People struggle to leave
their houses because of extreme heat dangers like getting deep burns or even things like skin cancer from the sun s
UV rays, and may also have harvesting problems because of how dry it is. Land forms and geography can also have
an impact on the development of societies and civilizations. If you live in an area with a lot of bodies of water, you
will be granted with things like fertile soil, easy transportation, abundant food and water supply, more animals to
hunt (fishing) and much better hygiene than for example a place in the middle of the desert. Your geography is very
important to a stable society

The Film Fight Club By David Fincher
The film Fight Club, directed by David Fincher, can be used as an example of a postmodern film. Edward Norton
plays the lead, but Edward s Norton s character goes unnamed throughout the entire film; being credited only as
The Narrator. As the narrator and a main character, Norton s character is aware that he is in the movie for the
majority of the film, but also takes part in the overall storyline. He does that by breaking the fourth wall and
interacting with the audience. The entire film is very fast paced and complex, with each scene getting right to the
point. There are numerous plots within Fight Club, aside from the actual fighting. The characters in Fight Club are
morally ambiguous. Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt) has no sense of moral compass. He is introduced as a projectionist,
who sneaks pornography into films. He is also a thief, who steals human fat from the liposuction clinic to make
soap with. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v= T1MckpC_Gc] He shows no mercy when it comes to inflicting
pain on others, telling The Narrator to stay with the pain and smacking him upside the face while he chemically
burns him. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvtUrjfnSnA] Later on he is becomes the founder of Fight Club,
where men get together and punch each other until they are bloodied beyond recognition.
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dC1yHLp9bWA] Clearly, Tyler is lacking morals. Later on in the story, Fight
Club is elevated into Project Mayhem, a club whose main goal is

Adam And Eve Loss Of Knowledge Essay
The tale of Adam and Eve, an infamous account in the book of Genesis, depicts man s original disobedience in
eating of the Tree of Knowledge and serves as humankind s first archetype of the innate relationship between lost
innocence and the attainment of knowledge. As portrayed in the story, God s severe punishment of Adam and Eve
for consuming the forbidden fruit insinuates that it is wrong to desire knowledge, more specifically, the knowledge
of humanity s potential for good and evil. The resultant loss of innocence from gaining this moral comprehension is
all too frequently regarded as sinful, undesirable, and ultimately regrettable. The concept however, of pursuing a
greater understanding of the natures of others and oneself is not fundamentally wrong as it expresses a kind of
valuable moral growth. As evidenced by further analysis of the story of Adam and Eve, it is apparent that although
acquiring knowledge does ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the case of Adam and Eve, the two became gradually more knowledgeable after eating the fruit and were forced
to depart from the childlike innocence that they had experienced in the Garden of Eden. This same departure is
further illustrated by the responsibilities that children are assigned once they begin to mature. No longer are they
solely accountable for their own person, but their actions must also reflect consideration for the well being of those
around them as they now have the ability to reflect upon issues outside of themselves. This erasure of ignorance is
of great importance as it now allows for the construction of moral dimension within mankind. The consumption of
the fruit symbolizes the acquirement of a wealth of moral knowledge for Adam and Eve and the recognition of their
individual obligations in human

Enron and Parmalat

ENRON
Background
In 1985 Kenneth Lay merged his company, Houston Natural Gas, with Nebraska s InterNorth to create the Enron; a
company to be the biggest natural gass corporation to exist in the U.S. During the 1980 s, under the presidency of
Ronald Raegan, there was a considerable lack of regulations regarding the energy markets, thus allowing the
company to buy and sell contracts for a delivery at some time in the future.
By 1990 Jeffery Skilling joined as a former consultant, eventually to become Enron s COO (Chief Operating
Officer). His participation encouraged the incentive of making the company more focused for contracts for delivery
of energy as well as change accounting procedures to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Parmalat s strategy at this point relied on building a network of off shore mail box companies so that the company
could conceal the losses, being the largest bond players Bank of America, J.P. Morgan and Citicorp. Basically these
banks had the notion that these bonds were sound financial paper where in fact they were absolutely nothing.
(Claudio Celani, 2004)
Claudio Celani suggests in his article that what strikes one is not only the dimension of the scheme, but the
arrogance of its authors. For instance, one of the offshore mail box firms used to channel the liquidity coming from
the bond sales was called Bucanero, which means black hole ! Appropriately, the first class action suit in the United
States on the Parmalat case, filed by the South Alaskan miners Pension Fund, is against Parmalat, its auditors, Bank
of America, and Citicorp and focuses on Bucanero It was later found out in 2003 that the company concealed a sum
of $14 bn black hole , as Celani suggests, in its finances. (Claudio Celani, 2004)
For the next years to come there was a marathon of court cases on both continents (American and European), and
so it was discovered that nearly €4bn of funds in a Bank of America account did not exist. Though the firm
admitted to have a certain amount of debts it was later seen in 2004 that it had in fact about €14.3bn (actually being
4 times the amount suggested). In turn , by 2008 Fausto Tonna is

Unit 7 Deuteronomy 6
Unit #7 Biblical Reflection
In Deuteronomy 6, Moses reminded the people of Israel about all that the Lord had and would continue to do for
them. He also reminded them that the Lord is the only true God, and He demands complete devotion from His
people. If the Israelites obeyed the commands of the Lord, He would cause life to ...go well with you..., and the
Israelites would ...increase greatly in a land flowing with milk and honey... (Deut. 6:3). However, the Lord would
punish disobedience with disaster. Thus, Moses described the Lord as gracious and benevolent, but He is also the
rightful ruler and judge of all peoples. He alone is God, and He demands to be worshipped as such. Over one
thousand years later, the apostle Paul discussed some of the same attributes of God in his letter to the Corinthians.
Specifically, in the first few verses of chapter 8, Paul discussed the authority of the Lord as the one true God, and he
declared that ...whoever loves God is known by God (1 Corinth. 8:3). Interestingly, in Paul s brief discussion of the
authority of God, he referenced and expounded upon the Shema, which Moses had initially declared in
Deuteronomy 6. The Shema proclaims Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one (Deut. 6:4). Paul further
explained that There is no God but one (1 Corinth. 8:4b), but the one true ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Moreover, an understanding of the various roles of the Godhead also provides comfort as we serve God in our
individual lives. For example, knowing that the Spirit is our permanent, always present guide and comforter is a
tremendous encouragement. A proper view of the Trinity is also critical as we share the Gospel with others: because
the doctrine of the Trinity informs our worship, we must be able to articulate this doctrine to others so that they can
rightly relate to and worship our triune

Essay on The Impact of Blogging on Middle Eastern Society
Although millions of people around the world depend on a free press to convey them the news of the day via
newspapers, television, and the Internet, many countries in the developing world lack the climate of openness that
contributes to a credible press. It is a chicken and egg problem (which came first, the free press or the democratic
government?), but it is clear that a democratic government contributes to a free press as much as the converse.
Through the fog of decades of war, the Middle East has had particular difficulty sorting out fact from fiction,
propaganda from proper news. While a free press cannot necessarily tell viewers which is which, it can give them
the information they need to know to draw their own conclusions. In this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Where is Raed?, other Arab blogs began appearing online. Although early Arab bloggers also used English, partly
because Arabic language word processing technology was poor and partly because writing in English offered a
greater feeling of anonymity, as technology improved, Arabic language blogs began to appear more with greater
frequency (Hamdy, 93). Blogs such as Kefaya! and Manal and Alaa s Bit Bucket could reach many more readers in
the Middle East than English language blogs and focused on themes popular with readers, such as government
repression, social upheaval, and political frustration. The blogs often posted shocking amateur video and
photography of police brutality that were not available to major Arab or Western news outlets because of failure to
obtain permission from the host governments to cover protests. As readership of Arabic language blogs increased,
so did the number of blogs themselves, reaching nearly 40,000 Arabic blogs by 2006 (Hamdy, 93). By 2005, blogs

The Development of Antibiotic Resistance
For many years people have wondered why the antibiotics that are used so commonly nowadays are not as effective
as they once were. Just like organisms evolve throughout time, resistance to certain things can also evolve. This
resistance however is not something that happens naturally but rather is a man made process which was caused via
the misuse, overuse, and/or underuse of antibiotics (Davies 2010). The author Davies explains that there is no better
example of the Darwinian notions of selection and survival than the spread of antibiotic resistance and how the
bacteria have evolved with traits that make them that way. The more people use antibiotics, especially when not
necessary, the higher the chance of bacteria in the body growing resistant to those antibiotics. Major problems have
arisen such as cells becoming resistant to antibiotics because its selection pressure is reduced or eliminated. This
means that one must counteract this by continually increasing the antibiotic concentration in proportion to the
increased resistance (Rosenthal and Elowitz 2012). To understand how bacteria became resistant to antibiotics, one
must first understand the origin of antibiotics and its introduction into the body. Once these antibiotics were
discovered and first started being used, it was not long after that that they regrettably were accompanied by the
appearance of some resistant strains as well. The development of antibiotic resistance is persistent especially
because

Video Games Stereotypes
Video Games
Video games first started being introduced into the world around the 1970 s and since then have evolved and made
an impact on the real life and online world. Throughout the years of video games making more and more of an
impact in the entertainment industry, the question to weather they are a form of media still remains. Media is
defined as the main means of mass communication (television, radio, and newspapers) regarded collectively. And
depending where you re coming from media can include the video gaming industry, film industry, tv industry and
of course the news and marketing industries.

As video games is such a big medium, they are able to convey messages to the players in a more low key way,
gender representations and stereotyping are both big things that the video gaming industry can effectively play a big
part in. Stereotyping refers to one group s generalised and widely accepted perception about the personal attributes
of members of another group (Ashmore Boca, 1981; Dates Barlow, 1990). Within most traditional media, gender
and racial stereotypes are the most pervasive two. Increased distorted representation of women and minorities can
have a negative effect on the way that the viewer sees that particular group. The way that video games are able to
influence large masses is another reason to why it is able to be classified as a legitimate form of media. The
definition of media as stated above being, the main means of mass communication (television, radio, and
newspapers) regarded collectively. . Female characters have changed and evolved throughout the time of video
games, the first ever playable female character in a mainstream game was created in 1986 and then another well
known female character was created by 1996, and that one being the protagonist of Tomb Raider, Lara Croft. By
2014 it is now able to be chosen by the player in a collective of certain games to weather they play as male or
female. It isn t uncommon to see a female characters in a video game to be over sexualised, much like mass media
in todays age. Female characters are also commonly portrayed as a damsel in distress , and the male protagonist is
usually the one to save her. Mass medias such as the news and newspapers have this in common with video games,
making it out that females usually need some sort of male hero in their lives. There is a big push for more women to
be involved in the creation of video games

Odysseus – A Different Type of Hero
The Homeric epic, the Odyssey, is set in the peaceful years following the Trojan War, and concerns the returning
heroes on their journeys home, in particular Odysseus of Ithaca. Odysseus is an epic hero; he displays courage,
superior strength, and leadership, all qualities that people admire. While displaying these archetypal heroic traits he
also displays his weaknesses as a man, particularly his excessive pride, which actually make him easy to relate to.
So by demonstrating his strengths, and overcoming his weaknesses he becomes an epic hero, not only in Homer s
time but in the 21st century as well. Yet these archetypal heroic qualities are not his only heroic qualities, in order to

As other Kyklopes rush to see what the screaming is all about they are told by Polyphemos that: Nohbdy, Nohbdy s

cave by clinging to the bellies of the Kyklops sheep. This carefully constructed plan of tricking the Kyklops,
inflicting severe pain to this more dominant adversary, and the ingenuity of the final escape clearly demonstrate the
epic heroic qualities and the cunning and shrewdness of Odysseus. When Odysseus reaches his homeland he is
initially unsure of where he is. He is approached by Athena, in disguise, but displays his own cunning to outwit the
goddess by concealing his identity from her until he is able to find out who she is and where he is. Whoever gets

Character Analysis Of Torvald In The Ibsen
Torvald and Nora Helmer s marriage was a very deceptive one. Torvald treated Nora as if she were a child or
favorite puppy according to a review by David Galens and Lynn Spampinato. Nora does everything Torvald says
and is always on her best behavior for him. She is, at the start of the play, entirely dependent on Torvald. Nora lies
and hides her truths from Torvald. She lies about the macaroons, her jobs, and her sources of income after taking
out a loan in her father s name. Nora is a very strong and independent lady who does not actually need Torvald for
anything, but she deceives herself into thinking so until the end of the play (Galens and Spampinato).

Torvald s treatment however did Nora no justice, in fact, it is implied at the end of the play that their marriage and
her treatment was more fitting of an arranged marriage: ...I was simply transferred from papa s hands into yours.
You arranged everything according to your own taste...You and papa have committed a great sin against me (Ibsen
1531). The reason is it such a sin indeed is because not only does she act this way herself, but she treats her own
children similarly.
Nora has fooled herself into believing that everything she does is aimed towards being the best wife to Torvald. She
is only concerned with being the perfect wife according to a review by David M. Galens and Lynn M. Spampinato.
However, what makes Nora s behavior even more disturbing is that she is aware of what tricks are necessary to get
what she wants which is demonstrated in the opening scene of the play discussed above. The money she hustles
from Torvald is used for her to shop and to help pay back the loan she took out several years back.
Seven years prior, while on a trip to Italy, Tovald became gravely ill and was not expected to survive. Nora, out of
love for her husband, went to a money lender named Krogstad and borrowed 250 pounds to stay in Italy long
enough to save

Energy Vehicles And Electric Vehicles
Consumers are constantly surrounded by advertisements and these advertisements play a significant role in
affecting people s daily decision making. Automobiles continue to be one of the fastest growing industries,
especially in the United States; therefore, advertisements are crucial and are constantly changing to meet the
requirements and needs of the consumers. In order to target the desired consumers and market effectively, the
advertising techniques need to be different from traditional gasoline vehicles because the consumers must be able to
compare the types of vehicles out in the market and find the type that best suits their demand. In this case,
consumers are contemplating between traditional gasoline vehicles and electric vehicles (EV). There are three ways
of advertising that carefully examine how each type of vehicle can satisfy the specific demands of their potential
customers; therefore, automobile companies must compete endlessly to come up with advertisements that target
consumers right at the heart focusing on manufactures ethics, consumers psychology, and trends. Electric vehicles
advertisements target consumers demands by including some of the advantages of EV in the advertisements. These
advantages include wordings like zero emission and driving the future. The specific wordings are able to imprint

Parts of the European political systems that remained untouched included the feudal political forms that remained
strong, even with introduction of monarchies. Since European states thirsted for expansion of their states, military
remained a top priority in funding; therefore, the strong feudal forms remained, although with shifted balance.
Furthermore, ordinary people were not highly affected by the political changes, because politics did not concern
them; all they had to worry about was paying their taxes as usual, and the general economic life was not altered. In
terms of the social system and structure, a main change that altered the social structure was commercialization,
which created a new social class, the proletariats, who suffered from poverty. Other notable social changes include
the emergence of a European style family, which emphasized the nuclear family structure, and intensified links

The industry is continuing to seek its reestablishment while lawsuits from animal welfare activists attempt to hinder
their attempts. However although horses are not slaughtered or eaten in the United States, more than 100,000
companion, working and even wild horses are shipped to Mexican and Canadian slaughterhouses for consumption
overseas in Europe and Asia each year (Stepping). Horses end up at slaughter through a number of ways. The most
common being that horse owners bring their horses to livestock auctions when they can no longer afford them,
expecting them to find a good home. However, that is not always the case, what sellers fail to realize is there are
middlemen for foreign owned slaughterhouses, known as kill buyers , who frequent these auctions looking for
horses. Often kill buyers can be see communicating with the auctioneer in the auction ring. They often outbid
genuine horse owners and rescues, robbing the horses of the opportunity for a second chance at life.(Transport)
Sometimes kill buyers respond to Free horse to good home advertisements. These advertisements are usually from
families who love their horses but can no longer afford them so they give them away. They sign a paper thinking
that their horse is going to a good home but in actuality they are signing the horse s death warrant. Along with kill

Water On Mars
In the article Mars Shows Signs of Having Flowing Water, Possible Niches for Life, NASA Says written by
Kenneth Chang the central idea is that there is a probability of life on another planet other than Earth. The reason
this article is important to us is because with these findings, researchers will be eager to follow up on the discovery
so that we can find out if the probable signs of liquid water flowing mean that life could sustain on Mars. For many
years scientists have been interested in knowing whether or not there is other life and if there has previously been
life on other planets. With this discovery, we are getting closer to coming up with possible answers.
In the past year, researchers have found probable signs of liquid water flowing on Mars surface, such as
waterlogged molecules, leading to the idea that Mars could possibly sustain life. Hydrated salt was seen through the
orbital camera, this is significant because hydrated ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Or why do we care that there could have been life before us on another planet? The answer is simple, we know that
water is essential to life, so water on Mars means life. Mars is the only planet that we have discovered with signs of
water, which makes this an important discovery. Mars is also very close to Earth in the solar system, which makes
this relevant to us. If we could find evidence of life on Mars it is possible that we could use findings to our benefit,
we could use this as a reason to keep looking further into Mars. If the research of Mars continued, researchers could
dig deep into the layers of Mars and possibly find even more clues all leading to the hopeful discovery that life does
live or has lived on Mars. It is possible that one day in the future NASA will be able to send an astronaut to Mars.
However, with everything stated above, there still needs to be more research done to find out if life could really

The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman is a comic novel by Laurence Stern. As the title suggests, the
book is Tristram s narration of his life story. The novel is highly unconventional in its narrative technique. One of
the central jokes of the novel is that Tristram cannot explain anything simply, in order to add content and colour to

most of the times. The novel appears in nine volumes, published in five separate installments, each containing two

To What Extent Was Ancient Athens A Democracy Dbq
Facts and information lead to the fact that Athens truly was a democracy. First of all, what is a democracy? A
democracy is a form of government that the people of that state or country run. To prove that ancient Athens
actually was a democracy, here are three pieces of evidence to prove so.
Unlike our government, the people of Athens ran their government, compared to our government, where we elect
representatives to run our government for us. First, democracy is the rule of the whole of the people, excluding
minors and maniacs only (Doc D). The only people who had a say in the Athenian government were the male
citizens. Women, children, and slave had no say whatsoever. The males had all the say on what they felt the city

The coach is rocking like a drunken man as it is out of control due to extreme wind. The writers use of a simile here
suggests that the coach is not in a good condition since it is compared to a drunken man. Drunken men tend to be
out of control and sloppy and this gives us the impression that the wind is making the coach have similar actions to
those of a drunken man. The coach is still being pulled by the horses who are too broken by the wind and the rain to
feel the whip that now and again cracked over their heads . The writer uses personification to tell us that the horses
cannot feel the whip due to the weather, this creates a more vivid image in the reader s mind as they are given more

Research Paper On Charles Manson
A Murderer s Lifestyle The name Charles Manson still brings terror to many people in this day of age. Manson was
now and then known as an evil criminal who was held accountable for the murders of innocent people in the late
1960 s. The early childhood and persona of Manson led him to brainwashing a group of people known as the
Manson Family , who committed his murders. Manson is seen as a notorious killer without actually killing anyone
himself. Charles Milles Maddox was born to a young sixteen year old named Kathleen Maddox who gave birth to
him on November 12, 1934, in Cincinnati, Ohio. At birth he wasn t given an actual name and was known as no
name Maddox . Awhile after his birth Kathleen married a man named William Manson, who worked for a dry
cleaning business. The child was then named Charles Milles Maddox . Though there is no evidence that Charles
had his biological father involved in his life, there s records that show that Kathleen filed a paternity suit against a
man named Colonel Walker Henderson Scott, when she was charged for a robbery in 1939. With his mother in jail,
Manson moved in with his aunt Glenna, uncle Bill and cousin Jo Ann in McMechen, West Virginia. Since the very
beginning Manson caused Glenna and Bill trouble. Charlies cousin Jo Ann who was a few years older than him,
described him as being a liar and always wanting attention. In some cases he would blame others for the things he

Importance Of Heroes In Modern Society
The term hero is attained from the ancient Greeks. In the mind of the Greeks, a hero was a mortal who had
succeeded beyond the normal scope of human experience, in which received worship as if he or she was a god.
Examples of these heroes are Asclepius, the first doctor; Dionysus, the creator of Greek fraternities; and Hercules,
the infamous monster killer. While these people completed honorable deeds, other people who had committed
crimes were also known as heroes. These people include Oedipus and Medea who also received worship after their
deaths. These men and women have had relevance in society for many generations, and continue to have relevance
in today s society. To the Greeks, heroes were always doing something extraordinary. It ... Show more content on

Although we know everything about ancient heroes, certain heroes past and present are certainly cryptic. Those
who looked up to George Washington or Thomas Jefferson as heroes would be surprised to know that they once
held slaves. Heroism in the ancient age was much different because of the fact that you could be a hero if you did
something that was thought to be impossible, although it might be a criminal deed. In modern society, heroes are
only looked at as someone who accomplished something of great importance. We as a society look at Navy SEALs
or Army Rangers as heroes, while the definition was much more expansive in ancient society. While politicians
might be looked at as a hero to certain people, others most definitely do not view them as this because of the
corrupt aura that surrounds them. The cynicism in individuals today is much different, then when the ancient
civilizations were deciding who were heroes. Heroism has been an ever changing definition in the world. The study
of such heroes and heroism helps modern day society shape the world. Many people might look up to Odysseus or
Achilles as their hero, while a more modern man might look up to Jim Brown or Jackie Robinson as a hero. If it
were not for the ancient Greeks, the idea of a hero might not exist in our society. Thankfully the idea does exist and
these heroes help motivate us to strive for a better life. Cynicism can often be used as an

Women s Role Of Women In The 16th Century
Europeans during the 16th century were facing a time where men were the head of the household as well as heads
of government. As a result, when Elizabeth I became the queen of England, it was said that she was a queen in a
world of kings. Prejudice against a female ruler began around Europe, most likely because this was the first
occurence of this. The negative attitudes of religious and reforming leaders influenced Elizabeth to show her
strength as well as gain power and respect for her entire country. All throughout Europe, every country was ruled by
a man or group of men. Since this was so common in each country, it became expected that a man would again
come to rule England after Elizabeth s sister Mary. But instead, Elizabeth became queen. Many church leaders
spoke out against this change, for example Nicholas Heath, the archbishop of York. He said, her Highness cannot be
supreme head of Christ s militant church (Document 2). An archbishop being a high rank in the church system
shows that Heath is experienced in the church and probably shares the beliefs of the church. During the 16th
century, the Catholic Church was facing a time of reform where many people were looking to question some of the
church s beliefs and traditions. As a result, most everyone in the Catholic Church was doing everything possible to
stop any further changes, in this case, prevent a female ruler from taking the throne. The overall idea that women
should not hold any high ranking positions,

My Observation At The Landlord And Tenant Supervisor
Introduction:
This report is based on my observation at the Landlord and Tenant Board which is located 3 Robert Speck Parkway
Suite 520 Mississauga, Ontario L47 2G5 on Tuesday, January 26th, 2016 and Wednesday, January 27th, 2016.
Throughout the day at the Landlord and Tenant Board we had observed many different cases.
In terms of location, the office building was in close juxtaposition to a public bus stop that had a route that lead
directly from Brampton. The bus schedule conveniently operated every 9 minutes. There were two Brampton
busses that lead into the location, the 502 and the 103. The bus was convenient and reliable however if you are
going everyday it will become very costly. If you are a tenant with a car it is simple to drive from Brampton to
Mississauga. The parking is conveniently in front of the building, but there is a cost for parking; for the whole day
$7.00, for an hour $5.25, for 40 minutes $3.50 and for 20 minutes $1.75. As for the parking, it is convenient to have
your own source of transportation nonetheless it is quite costly.
When you walk into the building there is a front desk with a security guard able to direct you to the floor you need
to go to. The Landlord and Tenant Board is located on the 5th floor, the Board Office has five separate cubicles with
secretaries able to help you with various questions. The Board Office is easy to find due to several signs on the

Comparing Creation Myths of Ancient Egypt and The Christian Bible
Creation in Ancient Egyptian religion can be much different than the creation account taken from The Bible.
Genesis has a set description of The Beginning while there are several different versions and variations in Egyptian
mythology. The versions range from a one god myth (Ptah; see picture) to the more common creator out of Nun,
which in itself has several derivations.
The Ogdoad is a grouping of eight gods that existed before the creator and formed him. This version is taken from
Middle Egypt at Hermopolis. The eight gods consisted of Amun, Huh, Kuk, and Nun and their counterparts (i.e.
Nun and Naunet). They came together to create an egg that contains the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Creation began by a bodily function of the creator god. Either through ejaculation, sneezing, or spitting the creator
began to produce others (Redford). The creator god had other gods come into being and they in turn began to create
until the ancient Egyptians had a sufficient explanation for there being here.
The most popular creation myth, in present day is the one god myth. It existed yet, had a brief life and it was in the
minority. Here Ptah was the closest thing to monotheism that the ancients had. This is a popular theme in Memphite
theology, but it was present in parts of Egypt. Ptah supposedly had all that is manifest in thought and then created
them with his Word (Baines, 1991). It is also said that the one god is and the other god names are used to personify
an extension of the one god (Ancient Egyptian Religion pg. 2 and 3). Ptah creates the Ennead with thought and
word. This monotheism was not very widespread and it did not last long.
In Genesis, the first book of The Bible the Christian and Jewish creation story is told. God spoke and his Word was
done. He made the heavens and the earth. He made light and drove away the dark. On the earth he created the
waters and lands and man and beast.
The last two accounts are similar in many ways. Ptah can be identified with God even though what they did to
create was not exactly similar. Ptah created the Ennead while God

Essay On The Fault In Romeo And Juliet
In the play, Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, two teenagers who the play is named after take their own
lives in a tragic way because of their love. This tragedy, while avoidable, was not their fault it was caused by their
parents quarrel, the bad planning, and because of their point in development how old they are.
Romeo and Juliet are from opposing houses. The Capulets and the Montagues are in a what feels like an endless
quarrel, From ancient grudge, break to new mutiny,/ Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean (Prologue, page
20) This creates a tense environment for the teens even before they meet; that may even inspire them to be

not their fault that they fell for each other and it isn t their fault that they killed themselves. It was their parents and
this unreasonable, irrational feud.
The Friar chooses to marry Romeo and Juliet, thinking that it might make their families join together and finally lay
the quarrel to rest, But come , young waverer, come go with me,/ In one respect I ll thy

Emotional Abuse Literature Review
Introduction
The issue of child emotional abuse is often a difficult topic to discuss as well as treat. Emotional abuse can be very
difficult to recognize since it is generally a relationship between a child and a caretaker and not a specific incident
or series of events that can be pointed to as abuse. In fact, emotional and psychological maltreatment have no
definition that is universally agreed upon, therefore, the two terms are often used interchangeably. Emotional abuse
is the most common form of child abuse. While emotional abuse can be present absent any other type of abuse,
such as physical or sexual abuse, there is almost certainly emotional abuse present with all other forms of abuse.
Emotional abuse may not leave physical scars but it does appear to leave long lasting psychological scars. While
there is evidence of psychological damage due to emotional abuse, it is not clear exactly how deep and lasting the
damage may be. There is a great need to research the effects, treatment, and interventions for emotional abuse.

Emotional abuse can cause serious burdens on society. Emotional abuse has a significant cost in educational and
societal failures, crime, and health care costs (Hibbard, Barlow, MacMillan, 2012) Pediatricians need to be alert and

Learning to interview children when they are developmentally ready is an important skill which can be critical in
detecting emotional abuse. Children who have been emotionally abused have higher rates of psychological
disorders such as depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts and behaviors, and aggression. Providers need to be
cognizant of risk factors that may indicate a greater risk for emotional abuse. Some of the risk factors were parental

Negotiation Through Paradox, De Carlo

In Teaching Negotiation through Paradox, de Carlo, defines a paradoxical professorial stance, believed to be useful
in assisting students learn negotiation concepts and methods. De Carlo defines the paradoxes as the following: 1)
caring for the students while deliberately exposing them to frustration; 2) nurturing a lively, interactive course while
respecting those students who prefer to remain silent; 3) helping the students to be more autonomous while
simultaneously manipulating them; 4) accepting their vulnerability while nurturing their creativity; 5) maintaining

The goal of the students is to make recommendations about the highway. The project requires complex decision
making from the students. The simulation has four stages: in the first three stages, students explore the information
provided to them on a CD ROM. The CD ROM contains a simulation of a deliberation over the highway project.
Students are to discuss and debrief and record their experiences. In the final stage, students need to organize a press
conference. De Carlo believes these simulations help students identify their emotions and the emotions of others,
and use them as a foundation to understanding negotiation.
In teaching through a paradox, de Carlo explains that we must rethink of the classroom as a transitional space
described as a place of creation and analysis. This space is intended to develop coping skills in students who find
negotiating frustrated. The professor serves as a mentor to facilitate learning new ideas and skills with the aim of
helping [students] be more effective in negotiation and creative in life (355). However, de Carlo notes that authority
should be present in classroom dynamics while teaching through paradox. According to de Carlo, authority cannot
be negotiated, but needs to be present to create an environment that is both nurturing and frustrating. This will
allow the professor and the students to acknowledge recognition and respect, but also identify emotional cues

Islamofascists Hate Teddy Bears
Radical Islamofascists Murder Innocent Teddy Bears Many on the left care more about trees and animals than
human beings. Ironically, the 9/11 terrorists murdered trees and bunny rabbits. It seems the terrorists have crossed a
line so heinous that even leftist ostriches will have to remove their heads from...well, let s call it sand. Algerian
hackers committed a chilling story of animal barbarism. Geographically mixed up Algerian hackers made
themselves look rather silly by defacing the website of an English stately home instead of Belvoir Fortress in Israel,
their intended target. Belvoir Castle, a Royalist stronghold during the English Civil War, by contrast, is best known
these days as the host of an annual teddy bears picnic. 64 This ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If he rooted for the Black Sox he would be accused of kowtowing to Reverend Wright. Rooting for the Red Sox
would bring up more communism charges. Rumor has it Van Jones went a Reds game.) (Some Colts slaughtered
the Bears in the Super Bowl, but George W. Bush was in charge at that time. Maybe everything is his fault after all.)
Terrorists are murdering teddy bears while our president does nothing. Mr. Obama never prevented this attack on
bears because of partisan politics. Former Republican House Speaker Dennis Hastert was from Chicago and
resembled a teddy bear. Republican Teddy Roosevelt was the original Teddy Bear President. If these were liberal
animals, Mr. Obama would save them (provided it helped his poll numbers). Additionally, Barack Obama hates
Wall Street because he cannot snap his fingers and make stocks rise. Who fights him? The bears. Not since self
loathing Stephen Colbert (ironically pronounced Col Bear, yet he hates bears) attacked these adorable critters on his
show has such a sweet adorable group of animals been so threatened while the world watched as helplessly as a

Genetic Manipulation
It should remain illegal in most cases for genetic manipulation to be used in choosing a baby s gender. Many
parents have a preference for the sex of their baby. This can be for several reasons: there could be a genetic disorder
passed down through a specific sex that parents want to avoid; the family might already have children of one sex
and want to balance out the family. However, unless the parents have received prior approval, it is currently illegal
to genetically manipulate an embryo, unless there is a legitimate medical reason. An embryo s sex is determined by
a sperm s chromosome: female sperm have an X chromosome, while male sperm have a Y chromosome. The most
common and easiest method to produce a specific sex is called in vitro ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This would either mean that paying for the service would be extremely expensive, or it would be included in
healthcare. If the cost was to be directly paid for by the family, there would be a huge gap created between those
who could buy the service and those who couldn t afford it. Wealthy families would be able to get their choice of
their child s gender and be able to ensure that no genetic disorders would be passed down to their child. This is
incredibly unfair to families which can t afford this; having the risk of illnesses while others don t is extremely
unethical. The easiest way to fix this issue would be to have genetic manipulation of embryos become included for
free in health care. This would mean money would be taken from other, more important areas that money could be
used such as education and other health care areas. Some areas already struggle with funding, so other additions
which take more funding, even a slight amount, are unwelcome. While in some cases genetic manipulations of
embryos can be useful in a medical sense, most possible scenarios would have negative repercussions. The
legalization of all embryo modifications would have some positive effects, such as minimizing the possibility of
genetic disorders, but the upsides don t make up for all the downsides that would occur. It is for this reason that this
modification should only be allowed in specific, medically approved

  • 2. Stars Life Cycle Stars are born of gas and dust and have a life cycle based on their original mass. Stars are not alive, but they go through stages. There are many sources that prove that this fact is true! These sources include the life cycle of stars, star classification, and types of galaxies. These different life cycles are for the high mass stars and the low mass stars. There are 3 types of galaxies. These galaxies are Irregular, Spiral, and Elliptical. Irregular galaxies have no defined shape and have mostly new stars. Spiral galaxies have a spiral shape and have mostly medium aged stars. Lastly, Elliptical galaxies are shaped like a sphere and hold mostly old aged stars. The stars are born from gas and dust. Even the sun formed this way. Stars are also classified by color, temp., luminosity, and distance from the earth. Stars form inside a cloud of dust called a Nebula. Gravity pulls gas and dust closer together in some place of the Nebula. When the matter contracts, it forms a hot sphere. Did you know the color of the star is the effect of the temperature of the star. The sphere then becomes a star if the center grows hot and dense enough for fusion to happen. As you can see stars, like the sun, are born out of gas and dust that gets contracted. The different stages a star goes through depends on the mass of the star. Lower mass stars develop ... After millions of years, a high mass star expands into a supergiant star. In the core of this star, fusion produces heavier and heavier elements. Then when a iron ore forms, fusion stops and the core collapses. Then parts of the core bounces outward, and the star explodes into a supernova. This explosion can form a extremely dense body called a neutron star. Sometimes a supernova leaves behind a core where it collapses forming into a invisible object called a black ... Extremely low and high temperatures can slow down the development of societies and civilizations greatly. If you are living in a place with temperatures similar to the ones of The Arctic, you will obviously have a lot of harvesting problems because of the cold and all the snow covering the ground. Also, problems with getting around and working hard because it is too cold to leave your home and go out are very probable. Going out to work in conditions like these, can leave people dead or very sick with things like hypothermia. On the other hand, extreme heats, like in places close to the equator, also slow development for very similar reasons. People struggle to leave their houses because of extreme heat dangers like getting deep burns or even things like skin cancer from the sun s UV rays, and may also have harvesting problems because of how dry it is. Land forms and geography can also have an impact on the development of societies and civilizations. If you live in an area with a lot of bodies of water, you will be granted with things like fertile soil, easy transportation, abundant food and water supply, more animals to hunt (fishing) and much better hygiene than for example a place in the middle of the desert. Your geography is very important to a stable society ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The Film Fight Club By David Fincher The film Fight Club, directed by David Fincher, can be used as an example of a postmodern film. Edward Norton plays the lead, but Edward s Norton s character goes unnamed throughout the entire film; being credited only as The Narrator. As the narrator and a main character, Norton s character is aware that he is in the movie for the majority of the film, but also takes part in the overall storyline. He does that by breaking the fourth wall and interacting with the audience. The entire film is very fast paced and complex, with each scene getting right to the point. There are numerous plots within Fight Club, aside from the actual fighting. The characters in Fight Club are morally ambiguous. Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt) has no sense of moral compass. He is introduced as a projectionist, who sneaks pornography into films. He is also a thief, who steals human fat from the liposuction clinic to make soap with. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v= T1MckpC_Gc] He shows no mercy when it comes to inflicting pain on others, telling The Narrator to stay with the pain and smacking him upside the face while he chemically burns him. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvtUrjfnSnA] Later on he is becomes the founder of Fight Club, where men get together and punch each other until they are bloodied beyond recognition. • 5. Adam And Eve Loss Of Knowledge Essay The tale of Adam and Eve, an infamous account in the book of Genesis, depicts man s original disobedience in eating of the Tree of Knowledge and serves as humankind s first archetype of the innate relationship between lost innocence and the attainment of knowledge. As portrayed in the story, God s severe punishment of Adam and Eve for consuming the forbidden fruit insinuates that it is wrong to desire knowledge, more specifically, the knowledge of humanity s potential for good and evil. The resultant loss of innocence from gaining this moral comprehension is all too frequently regarded as sinful, undesirable, and ultimately regrettable. The concept however, of pursuing a greater understanding of the natures of others and oneself is not fundamentally wrong as it expresses a kind of valuable moral growth. As evidenced by further analysis of the story of Adam and Eve, it is apparent that although acquiring knowledge does ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the case of Adam and Eve, the two became gradually more knowledgeable after eating the fruit and were forced to depart from the childlike innocence that they had experienced in the Garden of Eden. This same departure is further illustrated by the responsibilities that children are assigned once they begin to mature. No longer are they solely accountable for their own person, but their actions must also reflect consideration for the well being of those around them as they now have the ability to reflect upon issues outside of themselves. This erasure of ignorance is of great importance as it now allows for the construction of moral dimension within mankind. The consumption of the fruit symbolizes the acquirement of a wealth of moral knowledge for Adam and Eve and the recognition of their individual obligations in human ... (Claudio Celani, 2004) Claudio Celani suggests in his article that what strikes one is not only the dimension of the scheme, but the arrogance of its authors. For instance, one of the offshore mail box firms used to channel the liquidity coming from the bond sales was called Bucanero, which means black hole ! Appropriately, the first class action suit in the United States on the Parmalat case, filed by the South Alaskan miners Pension Fund, is against Parmalat, its auditors, Bank of America, and Citicorp and focuses on Bucanero It was later found out in 2003 that the company concealed a sum of $14 bn black hole , as Celani suggests, in its finances. • 7. Unit 7 Deuteronomy 6 Unit #7 Biblical Reflection In Deuteronomy 6, Moses reminded the people of Israel about all that the Lord had and would continue to do for them. He also reminded them that the Lord is the only true God, and He demands complete devotion from His people. If the Israelites obeyed the commands of the Lord, He would cause life to ...go well with you..., and the Israelites would ...increase greatly in a land flowing with milk and honey... (Deut. 6:3). However, the Lord would punish disobedience with disaster. Thus, Moses described the Lord as gracious and benevolent, but He is also the rightful ruler and judge of all peoples. He alone is God, and He demands to be worshipped as such. Over one thousand years later, the apostle Paul discussed some of the same attributes of God in his letter to the Corinthians. Specifically, in the first few verses of chapter 8, Paul discussed the authority of the Lord as the one true God, and he declared that ...whoever loves God is known by God (1 Corinth. 8:3). Interestingly, in Paul s brief discussion of the authority of God, he referenced and expounded upon the Shema, which Moses had initially declared in Deuteronomy 6. The Shema proclaims Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one (Deut. 6:4). Paul further explained that There is no God but one (1 Corinth. 8:4b), but the one true ... • 8. Essay on The Impact of Blogging on Middle Eastern Society Although millions of people around the world depend on a free press to convey them the news of the day via newspapers, television, and the Internet, many countries in the developing world lack the climate of openness that contributes to a credible press. It is a chicken and egg problem (which came first, the free press or the democratic government?), but it is clear that a democratic government contributes to a free press as much as the converse. Through the fog of decades of war, the Middle East has had particular difficulty sorting out fact from fiction, propaganda from proper news. While a free press cannot necessarily tell viewers which is which, it can give them the information they need to know to draw their own conclusions. In this ... Although the blog was written in English, it provided to English speaking readers throughout the Arab world and abroad an intense and often witty account of life during wartime. Capitalizing on the popularity and uncooked nature of Where is Raed?, other Arab blogs began appearing online. Although early Arab bloggers also used English, partly because Arabic language word processing technology was poor and partly because writing in English offered a greater feeling of anonymity, as technology improved, Arabic language blogs began to appear more with greater frequency (Hamdy, 93). Blogs such as Kefaya! and Manal and Alaa s Bit Bucket could reach many more readers in the Middle East than English language blogs and focused on themes popular with readers, such as government repression, social upheaval, and political frustration. The blogs often posted shocking amateur video and photography of police brutality that were not available to major Arab or Western news outlets because of failure to obtain permission from the host governments to cover protests. • 9. The Development of Antibiotic Resistance For many years people have wondered why the antibiotics that are used so commonly nowadays are not as effective as they once were. Just like organisms evolve throughout time, resistance to certain things can also evolve. This resistance however is not something that happens naturally but rather is a man made process which was caused via the misuse, overuse, and/or underuse of antibiotics (Davies 2010). The author Davies explains that there is no better example of the Darwinian notions of selection and survival than the spread of antibiotic resistance and how the bacteria have evolved with traits that make them that way. The more people use antibiotics, especially when not necessary, the higher the chance of bacteria in the body growing resistant to those antibiotics. Major problems have arisen such as cells becoming resistant to antibiotics because its selection pressure is reduced or eliminated. This means that one must counteract this by continually increasing the antibiotic concentration in proportion to the increased resistance (Rosenthal and Elowitz 2012). To understand how bacteria became resistant to antibiotics, one must first understand the origin of antibiotics and its introduction into the body. Once these antibiotics were discovered and first started being used, it was not long after that that they regrettably were accompanied by the appearance of some resistant strains as well. • 31. Women s Role Of Women In The 16th Century Europeans during the 16th century were facing a time where men were the head of the household as well as heads of government. As a result, when Elizabeth I became the queen of England, it was said that she was a queen in a world of kings. Prejudice against a female ruler began around Europe, most likely because this was the first occurence of this. The negative attitudes of religious and reforming leaders influenced Elizabeth to show her strength as well as gain power and respect for her entire country. All throughout Europe, every country was ruled by a man or group of men. Since this was so common in each country, it became expected that a man would again come to rule England after Elizabeth s sister Mary. But instead, Elizabeth became queen. Many church leaders spoke out against this change, for example Nicholas Heath, the archbishop of York. He said, her Highness cannot be supreme head of Christ s militant church (Document 2). An archbishop being a high rank in the church system shows that Heath is experienced in the church and probably shares the beliefs of the church. During the 16th century, the Catholic Church was facing a time of reform where many people were looking to question some of the church s beliefs and traditions. As a result, most everyone in the Catholic Church was doing everything possible to stop any further changes, in this case, prevent a female ruler from taking the throne. The overall idea that women should not hold any high ranking positions, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

My Observation At The Landlord And Tenant Supervisor Introduction: This report is based on my observation at the Landlord and Tenant Board which is located 3 Robert Speck Parkway Suite 520 Mississauga, Ontario L47 2G5 on Tuesday, January 26th, 2016 and Wednesday, January 27th, 2016. Throughout the day at the Landlord and Tenant Board we had observed many different cases. In terms of location, the office building was in close juxtaposition to a public bus stop that had a route that lead directly from Brampton. The bus schedule conveniently operated every 9 minutes. There were two Brampton busses that lead into the location, the 502 and the 103. The bus was convenient and reliable however if you are going everyday it will become very costly. If you are a tenant with a car it is simple to drive from Brampton to Mississauga. The parking is conveniently in front of the building, but there is a cost for parking; for the whole day $7.00, for an hour $5.25, for 40 minutes $3.50 and for 20 minutes $1.75. As for the parking, it is convenient to have your own source of transportation nonetheless it is quite costly. When you walk into the building there is a front desk with a security guard able to direct you to the floor you need to go to. The Landlord and Tenant Board is located on the 5th floor, the Board Office has five separate cubicles with secretaries able to help you with various questions. Comparing Creation Myths of Ancient Egypt and The Christian Bible Creation in Ancient Egyptian religion can be much different than the creation account taken from The Bible. Genesis has a set description of The Beginning while there are several different versions and variations in Egyptian mythology. The versions range from a one god myth (Ptah; see picture) to the more common creator out of Nun, which in itself has several derivations. The Ogdoad is a grouping of eight gods that existed before the creator and formed him. This version is taken from Middle Egypt at Hermopolis. Creation began by a bodily function of the creator god. Either through ejaculation, sneezing, or spitting the creator began to produce others (Redford). The creator god had other gods come into being and they in turn began to create until the ancient Egyptians had a sufficient explanation for there being here. The most popular creation myth, in present day is the one god myth. It existed yet, had a brief life and it was in the minority. Here Ptah was the closest thing to monotheism that the ancients had. This is a popular theme in Memphite theology, but it was present in parts of Egypt. Ptah supposedly had all that is manifest in thought and then created them with his Word (Baines, 1991). It is also said that the one god is and the other god names are used to personify an extension of the one god (Ancient Egyptian Religion pg. 2 and 3). Ptah creates the Ennead with thought and word. This monotheism was not very widespread and it did not last long. In Genesis, the first book of The Bible the Christian and Jewish creation story is told. God spoke and his Word was done. He made the heavens and the earth. He made light and drove away the dark. On the earth he created the waters and lands and man and beast. The last two accounts are similar in many ways. • 38. Emotional Abuse Literature Review Introduction The issue of child emotional abuse is often a difficult topic to discuss as well as treat. Emotional abuse can be very difficult to recognize since it is generally a relationship between a child and a caretaker and not a specific incident or series of events that can be pointed to as abuse. In fact, emotional and psychological maltreatment have no definition that is universally agreed upon, therefore, the two terms are often used interchangeably. Emotional abuse is the most common form of child abuse. While emotional abuse can be present absent any other type of abuse, such as physical or sexual abuse, there is almost certainly emotional abuse present with all other forms of abuse. Emotional abuse may not leave physical scars but it does appear to leave long lasting psychological scars. Negotiation Through Paradox, De Carlo Introduction In Teaching Negotiation through Paradox, de Carlo, defines a paradoxical professorial stance, believed to be useful in assisting students learn negotiation concepts and methods. De Carlo defines the paradoxes as the following: 1) caring for the students while deliberately exposing them to frustration; 2) nurturing a lively, interactive course while respecting those students who prefer to remain silent; 3) helping the students to be more autonomous while simultaneously manipulating them; 4) accepting their vulnerability while nurturing their creativity; 5) maintaining both professional distance and closeness (351). The goal of the students is to make recommendations about the highway. The project requires complex decision making from the students. The simulation has four stages: in the first three stages, students explore the information provided to them on a CD ROM. The CD ROM contains a simulation of a deliberation over the highway project. Students are to discuss and debrief and record their experiences. In the final stage, students need to organize a press conference. De Carlo believes these simulations help students identify their emotions and the emotions of others, and use them as a foundation to understanding negotiation. In teaching through a paradox, de Carlo explains that we must rethink of the classroom as a transitional space described as a place of creation and analysis. This space is intended to develop coping skills in students who find negotiating frustrated. The professor serves as a mentor to facilitate learning new ideas and skills with the aim of helping [students] be more effective in negotiation and creative in life (355). However, de Carlo notes that authority should be present in classroom dynamics while teaching through paradox. According to de Carlo, authority cannot be negotiated, but needs to be present to create an environment that is both nurturing and frustrating. This will allow the professor and the students to acknowledge recognition and respect, but also identify emotional cues needed ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 42. Genetic Manipulation It should remain illegal in most cases for genetic manipulation to be used in choosing a baby s gender. Many parents have a preference for the sex of their baby. This can be for several reasons: there could be a genetic disorder passed down through a specific sex that parents want to avoid; the family might already have children of one sex and want to balance out the family. However, unless the parents have received prior approval, it is currently illegal to genetically manipulate an embryo, unless there is a legitimate medical reason. This would either mean that paying for the service would be extremely expensive, or it would be included in healthcare. If the cost was to be directly paid for by the family, there would be a huge gap created between those who could buy the service and those who couldn t afford it. Wealthy families would be able to get their choice of their child s gender and be able to ensure that no genetic disorders would be passed down to their child. This is incredibly unfair to families which can t afford this; having the risk of illnesses while others don t is extremely unethical. The easiest way to fix this issue would be to have genetic manipulation of embryos become included for free in health care. This would mean money would be taken from other, more important areas that money could be used such as education and other health care areas. Some areas already struggle with funding, so other additions which take more funding, even a slight amount, are unwelcome. While in some cases genetic manipulations of embryos can be useful in a medical sense, most possible scenarios would have negative repercussions. The legalization of all embryo modifications would have some positive effects, such as minimizing the possibility of genetic disorders, but the upsides don t make up for all the downsides that would occur.
