Tara Miller, a college counselor at Austin High School, created an online MOOC to help students with the college application process. The MOOC was hosted on Moodle and included modules on the application timeline and roles, as well as videos demonstrating how to use the online application tools in Naviance. It was piloted with select students at Austin High and Garza High to help more students through the application process systematically. Feedback would be collected and the program expanded over time to eventually make the online college readiness course a requirement.
